I visit Stanley Park mainly for the swimming pool. It's small, just a little larger than some backyard pools, but feels like an oasis, located on a quiet street and surrounded by trees. There is a children's protected shallow section that's quite lively, while the adult section is rarely occupied. I'm sure that the people that use the pool would like to keep it a neighbourhood secret.

Between Bathurst and Strachan, split by King Street West, a Toronto neighborhood park with a community center, outdoor pool, tennis court, dog park, tiny picnic area, a basketball court, baseball diamond, an outdoor table tennis table, public toilets, and a small playground. Once unsafe at night, now quite clean, with all the lights, new condos, and busy King Street West, there are less worries. Took my daughter there almost every day. Fond memories.

It's an older park. The playground equipment is old and sun damaged, but still functional. The spinning wheel a warped, but still spins. Many parents have left older toys in this playground for younger children to play. All this doesn't matter to my 4 year old daughter as she just likes to play. There is also a wading pool here.

I came here for Canada Day and it really was a perfect spot for a group picnic with friends. Lots of other groups, plenty of spike ball, and lots of dogs running around. Idyllic! Only 4 stars because we had to leave before the fireworks finished when a homeless person stood in the way of our view and then sat awkwardly close to our setup.

I have been to many city, county and stae parks. Stanley Park in Vancouver is the BEST I have ever visited. If you travel to Vancouver, take some time to both do some walking and biking in Stanley Park. There are a number in bike rental shops very close to Stanley Park

Its a good park with all the basic stuff (basketball court, picnic tables, kids playground, public washrooms) and it is in a very central easy to access location. The playground is old and has sand that can be annoying on the feet depending of the footware. The north side has more shadow than the south part.

Decent neighbourhood park. It has a fenced off kiddy area, grassy fields, and a basketball court. There's often groups of people either playing soccer or softball on the field. Pick up basketball happens quite often on sunny days.

When they let it grow long, this park has some of the nicest grass in the city. As of June 2021, the evening crowd seems to be mainly 20-30 year olds, less rowdy than Bellwoods. Lots of spikeball. On weekday mornings there are often several workout groups training on the field. My local tip is to grab a Cobb salad and cocktail to-go from King Rustic nearby, and enjoy a picnic well into the evening (south east corner gets the sun the longest).

Love this park. It is split by the street, but one side has picnic tables and a playground and the other side has an off-leash dog park with stadium-like lights. They have plenty of picnic tables there too and it is huge. I would recommend this park. Nice trees, as well!

Kind of a shabby little park, and the ground in North Stanley is too hilly and bare ground to have any fun with soccer or throwing the ball around. South Stanley is flat but full of ignorant dog owners who keep their dogs off-leash outside of the off-leash area. So you get penalized with dogs aggressively coming up into your child's face, who has a dog allergy. Plus, you say your dog is friendly, but how the heck do I know that for sure. Nobody wants to admit that their dogs have bitten occasionally, and admit that they are lazy a-holes who barely take these powderkegs out for walks, let along properly dicipline them.

Lots of space, great view of the sunset and the CN tower. Off of King Street but not 'too' west. There's a dog park so many friendly dogs are always around. There is opportunity to meet new people here. Lots of fitness classes and jog groups assemble here and sometimes people are playing music on the corner- serenading everyone. They got a baseball field with lights and a bball court / playground across the street. Great for spikeball or anything else on the grass too :)

This is a lovely green space that has a playground, washroom, basketball court, water pad, small pool and ping pong table. The other side of the street has a big ball diamond and an off leash dog area. It's heavily used by the neighborhood people, especially the playground. Stanley Park is clean, but has few places to just sit. More of an activity space than a resting green space.

Covid-19 clearly doesn't exist at this park! The playground area is CONSTANTLY packed with people, hardly anyone wearing masks. No one keeps their distance from each other - it's extremely scary. The playground structure itself isn't that great, nothing special. Stanley Park is one of the only parks in Toronto that still has one of those Merry-Go-Rounds made from metal. SCARY SCARY SCARY. I've seen young children fall off and roll under the merry-go-round and get hurt. I've seen the merry-go-round spin soooo fast with loads of children crowding on it, children flying off, children being stepped on, children get badly injured. I truly feel this needs to be removed, it's just so unsafe.

I really love this park. I meet all my friends here. It's so embarrassingly close to my house. I do find the two sides confusing, but I have always been able to find a bench/seat there, even on the most busy of days. Very nice in the spring summer and access to the streetcar is a bonus. There's a few problems I have with this park and its mainly basketball court. There's this gap that runs down the court and its just a ankle injury waiting to happen. Also if you accidently dribble on it your ball is going the opposite way LOL. There's a park called Regent Park Athletic Ground I think but the court is like this soft bouncy feeling and I believe Stanley can use it. It'll be easier on the knees when we play. The second problem is the "kiddy pool" the fence that divide the pool and court can be a tad taller. Our balls are always bouncing over and getting wet. It's also dangerous for the kids.

One of the more underrated parks in the city. Has basically all you need with a baseball diamond, some tennis courts, a pool and a dog park. Very close to the Entertainment District and to tons of restaurants if you're looking to do a full day park hang and don't want to go to the busier Trinity Bellwoods (5 minute walk away). Only knock is some owners need to be better at cleaning up after their dogs

This park is really good for kids. It has wading pool, basketball court, washroom, playground on the sands, trees, small hills and well maintained grass. No so many dog walkers. Usually not very crowded as it is a small park. Nice neighbourhood.

This is one of my favorite parks to take my 2 year old. There is a large field and dog park on the south side of king and on the north side there is a basketball court and large playground with a sandbox and splash pad. The playground is built for kids 5+ but one of the slide towers is easy enough for a supervised 2 year old. The neighborhood leaves lots of toys for the kids and there are swings and a roundabout. Plenty to keep kids busy for a couple hours.
