Amazing! Was fortunate enough to enjoy Cow-a-palooza, which was so much fun!!! There was lots of entertainment, rides and games for kids, wrestling for the whole family and then we had the pleasure of viewing April Wine!! Best of all, minus the kids games and rides, it was all free!! The park was well maintained, very clean and taken care of. Plenty to do, animal petting, pop up shops and entertainers every where. Must do again! Worth every penny, every second and will charish every memory.

I am genuinely surprised by this park. My wife had some brief business in Woodstock and I needed a place to take the kids for a short while and this park absolutely did the trick. The playground was amazing and the people there were really kind.

This is the main entrance to South Side Park. It honors our veterans from World War One. 1914 -1918. South Side Park is one of the few places where you can still pull your car up under a tree. Since we work in the sun all day finding some shade so you can enjoy your lunch on a hot summer day is essential.

I love this park!! I grew up in Woodstock and this has always been one of my favorite places to relax. It's beautiful in the summer with gardens all around, play equipment, baseball games, geese, a pavillion, a gazebo, and great waterscapes. In the winter it also has a great tobogganing hill.

Large enough to Always be able to locate somewhere serene to sit and watch the birds by the pond. Eating areas are adequate. The other day I met peeps from Hamilton who specifically came with their son to test out the Skate park. So word must be getting out. Lol

This is a beautiful place where one could escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. You could wander off and have a tranquil moment by the water rock of serenity or immerse yourself in the public pool area for a small fee. You could also bring your children to the safe fun playground where there are many rides and such that they can play on or bring everyone to see the ducks, geese and swans at the pond . There are endless opportunities for everyone. Bring a picnic and enjoy the day!

This is a great park, that lets Huron Park Baptist Church use each year for a free community event with live music and great inflatables. They usually have horse drawn carriage rides and some sort of entertainer for the kids as well. They give everyone free hotdogs, chips, and juice. The park is a great size and well maintained with a nice pond as well. The water feature really makes the place. For my kids it was the huge playground that was a winner. They also have ball diamonds there as well. There isn't a lot of parking but it is very centrally located.

This large public park is a popular gem for the Woodstock community. There are many different areas including picnic tables, a big playground, baseball, fishing in the river, watching the geese and ducks, and rentable pavilions. Watch out for poison ivy though. It's growing along the riverside and popping up even in the manicured park areas. The washrooms are open now and do not require wearing a mask at this time.

My childhood into my teens were spent growing within this park. From the boathouse that canoes could be rented. The annual carnival in the center square. The Woodstock Ontario 8/13-8/19 1969 concert mirrored the Bethel NY. The Victoria Day Parada winding from city hall down to and entering off Finkle St. I taught my younger late brother how to throw a ball, skate, even swinging a golf club. The mini zoo be the river down from the bridge were monkeys and peacocks lived The baseball games in the evening when lights were installed. The football games WCI home field. The pond freezing and hockey games played under the street lights close by. The toboggan hill off Parkinson Rd. My first cricket pitch long before the current cricket house was built. I helped the construction men during the building. The rolling out and up of the cricket mat. Keeping the scoreboard with those placet card numbers on c hooks. The daily walks to and from College Avenue SS. If you listen you will hear both my little brother and my voices still echo through our park.

A great park in south Woodstock. There's a skate park, 3 ball diamonds, a river, pond, 2 pavilions for family/group get togethers, sand volleyball, a great and safe playground for kids, a gazebo, walking/biking trails, and more. Lots of community events are held here as well (Canada Day, Cowapalooza, etc.) and the park is kept fairly clean. If there were any negatives, there can be a lot of duck/swan/geese poop around the waters edge (which can't much be helped), and the park is a way to hide a good sized hydro station but the city did the best they could with, most likely, low value property. Good job!

A pretty park, well maintained with ducks, geese and swans. Playground for kids with updated equipment on one side and a skateboard area on the other. Each side has a large covered picnic area. Newer washrooms beside a concession stand that's open in the summer. Also has a small water park area open in the summer with a $3.00 admission per person which is attached to the indoor swimming pool.

Beautiful park with great landscaping staff! Its nice having a restaurant area on site and a large children's park with different age appropriate structures. The last few times I took my child I had noticed quite a bit of garbage in the playground area which was disappointing.

Went for a walk to Southside Park today. Lots of people enjoying the sun while social distancing. The only issue I have is that the town has let the garbage bins overfill and now garbage all over the ground.

I LOVED SOUTHSIDE PARK, IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!! We will definitely go back again. That is a huge park with lots of different areas like play equipment for the kids, which was the coolest play equipment I have ever seen at a park and my kids plus my friends kids loved it and have been asking to go back since we went. We do not live in woodstock but it is totally worth the drive. Besides the equipment the kids used there is baseball diamonds and a river that flows through it with different birds. There is pavilions that I imagine can be rented for get togethers or if you need a picnic table for a quick bite to eat you could sit there to eat. OMG the bathrooms were the cleanest, nicest smelling public washrooms I have ever had the pleasure of using.... seriously!!! I was floored by that. I haven't even got to the best part yet. In this park, is the Southside aquatic center and they have the coolest wading pool/splash pad. Now I don't know how it normally works but right now during covid(and maybe always) you have to book your spot online and each child is $3 to get in but I am telling you it is totally worth that $3 per kid because it is a full play structure with the tipping bucket and all the water spraying everywhere plus 2 small water slides but the purple water slide is a big winner. Our kids must have gone down that thing 100 times. Parents are free and you can go on the water slides and equipment too. Literally with little kids you could spend $20 plus each to go to a big water park to spend your whole time in the kiddie area that is the same as this wading pool/splash pad. I didn't get to see everything in this park and maybe we seen everything that was cool already but it was very cool and we will be going back again and again. Brantford has nothing like this and it is worth the 40 minutes give or take drive to spend a day out in woodstock and the Southside park. Other cities should take a look at this park and take notes. Great for the whole family. You won't be disappointed.

Southside park is is very beautiful in the summer time. Its a great place to go for a nice walk and enjoy the scenery, or to take the kids. There is several baseball dimonds, a play ground, a skate park, and sometimes they have a snack booth open. I enjoyed coming here as a kid, and now i get to enjoy bringing my kids.

Beautiful spot for picture taking for wedding or even family photos. There's a bunch of trails for you to take as well as so many little parks around it. The skate park is just amazing and creative. Noysny places have that. Their is also a paid splash pad and indore pool there alwell. There play grounds are amazing with so many different age grouped activities for any aged child to do. Definitely a place to go if you have a lot of time. So many things so see and do around their. The river flows through so nicely and it's just mesmerizing. Lots of parking and summer tours going on is ideal the park. Amazing all in all. Everton should have a place e like that it's just a piece of heaven

Beauty spot for a picnic. I often come here on my lunch and do a lap of the pond. Great spot for family reunions as well. Covered eating areas and lots of space for the kids to run around and play. Very pretty old park, definitely worth a visit.

To much duck poop to walk around near the water. But that's no ones fault. They should add some sort of "gum ball" vending machine that gives out aquatic foul safe food. Make it cheap. ($0.25), signs say not to feed the birds bread.. people still do. Fix that I'll give 5s. :)

That is a great place to teach the kids how to fish with a exellent chance to catch a 5lb plus carp to make the experience unforgettable. New play equipment to make the kids happy. A pavilion to relax and drink a coffee while watching the kids play. A small exercise patio to test your fitness. A skate park for all ages to enjoy that the users of are friendly and willing to let younger less experienced skaters or bike riders have thier turn at a new trick or jump. No graffiti and very clean park. Bring bread for the ducks and geese cuz they are friendly city birds.

This is the best park in town to take the boys too. They have geese, ducks and a couple swans for feeding corn. They also have gazebos galor for events in which you may rent at a fair cost. To top the cake, they have a cemented skate park as well as a fully functional play ground with Matt underneath suppose to mulch or pebbles underfoot. All in all. Great experience. Take ya kids, bring some corn and find the kid in you.

south side park is amazing and huge.. Such a gr8 time and a short stroll... Love feeding the geese and the ducks and the kids love seeing babies come spring. the actual play ground is Ok..... All around pretty good park... lots of memories!! they have concerts and little fairz all thru the summer ????
