While a good escape from the rain or sun it is a reptile house and is hot and humid. I love the pretty snakes, varieties of lizards, skinks, turtles, and cayman and crocodilians. Fascinating habitats with full views. Recent changes have been made, if you haven't been this year check it out again (2018).

The kids love it! I like to see the foods the reptiles eat in addition to the live grasshoppers etc...there is a dish of freshly chopped fruits and vegetables available. We watched a turtle digging in the sand to place her eggs. Great place to see in real life something we would never have a chance to see in the Metro Detroit area, except on TV.
