Beautiful! The lights on thr pier were fabulous, the lights were in rows in arches along the pier... On the bottom side while you walked...they changed colour.. On the top side, they stayed red and white... Only problem...for me...was that it was a wee bit cold... Would love to go again when it is warmer... Lovely at night... Pretty dark at night, but nice to see all the lights...

If you are in White Rock, go check out the actual white rock. The pier is open again after being ravaged by a crazy storm a while ago, which really just goes to show that you should not take ANYthing for granted!! Grab some fish and chips, chill and enjoy!! While me and my lovely mummins were here, there was some sort of celebration of life where some peeps waded out into the water and lit off some full-moon fireworks. Truly. Magical. #synchronicity is REAL!

This is a city that leaves you with the sense that it's a coastal village in the winter. I imagine in the summer it would be complete chaos, but in the evening close to winter the foot traffic gives you the sense that a tiny village dwells here, the people smile and walk casually never seeming to be in a rush, while the store fronts are open and inviting. The traffic in the summer and warmer months must be ridiculously hectic! But our day, a few days before christmas this oceanfront area is very welcoming.

Great place to visit in BC. We often take our kayaks and stand up paddle boards to the ocean with a few Beach chairs. Plenty of restaurants to get a bite to eat. Great if you like fish and chips, with ice cream for dessert. There are a few places that offer all day parking on the east side, a short walk to everything.

Words can never describe the sheer beauty of White Rock. The pier was so amazing it's was breathtaking. The beach and surrounding area is clean with large sidewalks for everyone to enjoy taking in the ocean right before us. The huge "White Rock" that sits just off the shore was pretty neat. We are so lucky to live in British Columbia it truly is one of the most beautiful places on earth. If you are travelling to BC this is a place you should put in the agenda to at least spend the day you won't regret it.

Great tourist attraction to visit if you're alone or with friends and family. Though the White Rock has some pen markings, drawings and writing, the White Rock is definitely something you should visit if you're staying in South Surrey. Overall this tourist attraction is great and if you are able to climb onto it, you can get a great sunset view.

Nice views from up on the hill plus a great short strip along the water with retail shops and burger / fish a chip restaurants across from the beach. The heart of the beach area is the walkway over the water - always lots of action with people fishing and crabing - OK spot just seems to be lacking something I can' t put my finger on..Steveston has the docks and fishing boats - canary and lots of fishing history still Intact - maybe it's the lack of history or the scaled down retail area- seems ĺ planning for the strip is lacking?

Gorgeous place to visit! White rock is like the little Oasis that no one knows about. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of Vancouver this is a great spot to stop by. If you do go, make sure you go to the Washington Avenue Grill for a meal, it was incredible.

DOG OWNERS... DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! We have never been to White Rock! Our family went this past weekend for a day at the beach, a walk on the promenade, check out the pier. And guess what? We returned home with a $200 fine for walking on the promenade carrying our Yorkie ALL THE TIME. Yes, we saw the sign saying no dogs and picked her up. What problem could that be? Apparently, thats a whole lot of trouble. Especially for the $200 fine that we we had for carrying her. Looks like its ok to leave your dog walk on the beach, but not on the promenade... Or maybe its a way of White Rock community to get rid of tourists willing to spend a weekend down there. For sure we will never return. On top, we will NEVER recommend anyone to go there. Its a beautiful place... but again, looks like the locals do not want visitors on their turf!!!

Really the ideal place to go in fancy dresses in the middle of the night to run down the stairs and walk the pier. Feel like the main character again. Pier gets really slippery when it's cold, but that's okay. I haven't been during the day for years, but it's nice then too. Pay parking only takes credit card or cash ????

A winter storm took out the middle section of the White Rock pier and caused the closure of the beach and most of the promenade. No access to the White Rock and on our last walk near by, people crossed the barriers and the police were called.

I've rated the pier as a good place to ease stress and take a walk. The whole white rock/semihamoo beach area is amazing. You could walk there for days and not become tired because you're too busy looking at the scenery. You will see a forest in front of you, the ocean to your left, a boardwalk next to the ocean, crabs in the water, and pelicans and seagulls enjoying the sun. If you get bored of walking there are many coffee shops, gelato places and restaurants you can take a break at. The best thing is you will find parking even if the parking is full. Never have I left white rock because I couldn't find parking, and it's also really cheap parking.

It’s a rock ???? and it’s painted white. There is an interesting information panel explaining the history of the rock. Otherwise there is not much else here at this section of the beach. It’s easily accessible from the White Rock promenade. There are washroom facilities available nearby.

This is a great place to go for a walk with your family, by yourself or with friends. Also, there is the beach!! A fantastic place too! The walkway is approximately 1.5 miles long. The pier is being recorded as the longest in Canada. There is plenty of green areas to rest en enjoy your time. Also, recently added more picnic tables, some of them near the train station, the others set along the way. There is plenty of parking. (Pay parking). Wheelchair accessible. And wheelchairs parking available. Public washrooms available. While walking - during the weekend - you will find a few food vendors; hot dogs, Mexican Tacos, ice cream, and mini donuts. Yes mini donuts!! Also. You can enjoy many restaurants throughout Marine Drive. Cousin from India, Vietnam, Korea, Canadian of course. Japan. Yes: fish and chips. Different stores: clothing, souvenirs, and many coffee shops. The local bus stops right by the old train station - now a Museum. Safety information: the walkway in White Rock is parallel to the Rail Road train tracks, so be sure to look both ways and to keep a considerable distance from the train stop barriers located throughout the walkway. Certainly is a wonderful place to spend the day at the beach. Have fun!!

White Rock is an iconic place and a must visit for anyone visiting the Greater Vancouver area. It has amazing restaurants just beach facing, where you can dine in during normal times but even during COVID restrictions you can takeout food and then eat it alone on the beach or public seating places.

White Rock, it's a very beautiful place and environment is also nice, I visit a lot of time at The Longest Pier, it is situated near the sea and from there we can see a very great view. There is a old railway track which is still in work, train cross from there, moreover there are a lot of restaurant near this place. My experience is very good.

It's always a nice time walking down the boardwalk here. Parking can be tricky but I managed to get a 48 foot motorhome parked in the street. Paid for 3 parking spots and everything went OK. I have to say I allways like being here. With the new water break let's hope it can take a beating and stay around for future generations.

Its not a real white rock! it is a painted rock! The towns namesake is based on a facade. A 486 tonne granite lie about somebody throwing there. I guess they have to paint over the giant's hand prints every year.

Great tourist or day out with the family location. Lots of accessible parking and bathrooms along the beach. They have COVID-19 measures in place that are for the most part followed along the sidewalks and paths. Vendors are out currently too! Only sketchy part was the pier where people were not social distancing.

One of the best placea to visit. Had very less time but still went there. The bus services are a bit slow but you will still enjoy being there. Walked on the beach and spent time there. Not a dog friendly place, if you take your dog, you'll be stuck walking right next to the traffic and away from the ocean view. Otherwise, wonderful place to walk and relax. There is a lot of parking space, easy to get to and not too expensive. $6 for 4 hours. I would give 5 stars if there would be a dog friendly area.

It's pretty, intensely touristy, and even in covid times quite busy. Very few masks in busy areas. Parking is an ordeal and traffic on marine dr is slow. But if you can park and get beyond the big crowds the beach is quite nice.

Beautiful ocean view, great location to walk ????‍♂️ any time of day even till late night. There are lots of restaurants on ocean views. You will find all kinds of food. English, Chinese, Indian etc.

White rock is a very beautiful place on sunny days if you want to take the family out for the day on the beach to watch the eagles fly or to have lunch along side of the pere and watch the train go by

Good place to be with family and friends on a sunny day. It is quite windy most of the time so protect yourself appropriately. May want to carry food/snacks as there aren't many near the park. Eateries are however located across the road opposite parking.

Out of control pricing, any thing you want to buy you pay way too much for it. The biggest gouges are the parking meters. If you go to White Rock you better be prepared to pay arm and leg.

A great place ~to watch the sunset ~for a leisurely walk with your dog ~for a "me time" or to enjoy the day with family/friends Could get really crowded during weekends when the weather is nice and parking can be challenging, too. Parking was free when we went there and we were lucky to find a spot. Don't forget to enjoy a gelato (despite the cold) or a cup of coffee before concluding your visit to White Rock.
