Very nice! Shallow waters perfect for your furry friend. Getting to the water is a little rocky/difficult, maybe we went down the wrong area.
Super chill place not too busy everybody I met was friendly
Google Pt Gray Tides and hit flats 1/2 hr before tides less than 1m / 3' and have the coolest (dog) walk of your life!
Great for viewing the stars at night! Do note that the gates close at 10pm though and they will lock your car in the parking lot!!
Huge space, great for letting larger dogs to rip it up. Bored of fetching, let fido jump into the or Sig up the sandy beach!
This is a great off leash area with access to both grass and beach, it is very large. Theres always lots of dogs here no matter the weather
Best dog beach on the west side of Vancouver!
Relatively small area is off-leash but the area is nice and allows the dogs to chase each other along the logs and in the water.
This is a beautiful place for the dogs and people to wander and play . To have access to this space is incredible! The dog beach is huge and there is an adjacent grass area to run and play on that is massive! No fuss here just fun and tons of parking.
Beautiful evening yet again at the doggie beach
Very happy to have this spot for our dogs. There is plenty of space for them to run in the beach and in the park. There is also a huge, no payment parking. The view on the water is spectacular and the park itself well maintained. Many people come to spend their day here, having picnics with friends and family. One suggestion to the park management is to add more garbage bins, even the small ones, there certain people won't have the excuse to litter anymore.
Dogs, sand, beautiful sight of Stanley Park and English Bay. What else do you want me to say?
A beautiful place to take your dog...guaranteed to leave your furry friend with that ‘wet dog’ smell. I’m still getting the sand out of my van upholstery, and I can’t wait to do it again.
Fantastic beach to take the dogs to for a good run when the tide is low. Wear boots!
Great place to come and bring your dog if you have a dog friendly dog I would not bring my dog here if he has any type of aggressive or not dog friendly Behavior there are parts of this park that are not off leash and you will probably run into many dogs off leash in the inappropriate areas so just be careful what is a great place to come if you want to be by the water and go for a nice walk with your pup pups
Awesome beach. Designated areas to leave your dogs off leash. It’s a very long walk, so you WILL get tired if you decide to walk the entire length of spanish banks. Might take a couple of hours though!
A great place to enjoy the outdoors and scenery with your 2 and 4 legged family members or friends.
Great open space with a few tables for picnics. Incredible views of water, mountains, city. And the dogs have a great vibe.
Beautiful spot. However, cycle path and road are really fairly close...dogs tearing around could easily run into cyclists minding own business.
Lots of people parked here and picnicking.
I rarely go because of the difficulties of finding a parking spot, and the most I like is for my dog that can have a play with other dogs.
Best beach ever! Especially early in the morning. Very few people, just those early birds and their dogs. So lucky to have such a spot in Vancouver. Thank you city hall for keeping the parking free. Really appreciated!
How beautiful is this place?! Went to a friend's birthday party here a few weeks ago. Just good vibes everywhere. Outhouses for the necessary. Bbq puts for your hot coals and ashes. Dogs everywhere. Sports being played all over the place. We stayed for hours and it was most enjoyable. I highly recommend going here for a picnic, party, or just a walk.
Gorgeous, long, flat beach that's great for a nice walk. The view of the North shore mountains is impressive, and there are large cargo ships and tankers in the bay that are cool to see. Not crowded in the slightest & plenty of parking available.
Great place for kids and for babies. Free parking. Lots of shade. Short walk to the beach.
Me and my little puppy had blast there. A really cool place to spend your weekend!
A great place to play with Dogg's, and a huge space for the little ones. They have a garden or a beach to use. Dogs are happy
Beautiful place. Great view of the city and surrounded by the trees of the UBC endowment land
Absolutely fabulous. Lots of room for dogs to run, watch out for poop though, as not all owners are considerate.
Great for picnic ????don't bring the BBQ except the gas one
Great park worth an excellent view. Parking lot can get full on a sunny day. It’s nice to have the ocean so close for dogs to run in.
Great place to take dogs. Wide open area.
My dog and I love coming here. Lots of room for him to run around. And free parking, can't beat that ????
Free parking, easy to get to, and ample space for pups to run around. Washrooms within walking distance, port-a-potties in parking.
Excellent and very scenic place to take your pup. At low tide you can walk out for a km or so, less of dogs around then. On nice warm season weekends the grass area is fairly full of picnicers. Still space to play fetch on the grass, but you need to have your dog under decent control do he doesn't raid the picnics.
We took our pup when it was overcast & the tide was out so there was lots of space to run on the mud flats. It was a great opportunity to practice recall in a fairly safe setting. The other people out with their dogs were all friendly and …
The off leash dog area is at the far west end of the park. Both the human and dog friendly beach areas are awesome. Lots of soft white sand and plenty of room so it doesn't feel crowded.
By far the most scenic beach available to visitors and residents, Spanish Banks offers plenty of sport, sun and sand. We walked the entirety of Spanish Banks looking for the "dog beach" listed on the City of Vancouver Website. An off-leash area to enjoy the surf with your pooch seemed like a must on a sunny weekend but we were a bit dismayed to find that the "beach" was really a grassy park located about 200m west of the West Concession. The access to the water is rocky, shallow and has a bit of an odor from the decaying plant matter caught in the surf. It's a far cry from the sun and sand paradise located within visible distance. The dog park is regularly occupied by families and people playing sports or having a general bbq so having your dog run around chasing balls can be a bit of a hazard during peak times. Generally people are friendly but the proximity to the sea wall path can be a bit crowded as people walk through the park depending on the time of day. Overall it's a lovely location that is a bit of a let down for anyone expecting a slice of the sandy paradise.
Small area but when the tide it out there is a vast amount of run around space. So many playful dogs everywhere.
Our dog loves playing with all the other off leash dogs here.
Great place to get your dog out, right next to the water and off leash area is big enough for many dogs, and lots of room to pick nick and bbq. One of my favourite beaches, however just make sure you get there on the earier side during summer as it has many parking spots, but fill up fast. Nothing better than a beach where you can walk a dog, eat a hot dog, whilst smoking a joint. Sweet mama ocean, I'm home.
Wonderful area to let your dogs run free especially at low tide there is tons of space and beautiful views of downtown. The only other comparable dog beach i have been to is east beach in White Rock.
Wide-open spacious for your dog to run around and get some exercise with some fresh salty air and a fantastic view of the north shore in the background. Close to easily accessible parking.
Fun for kids and dogs, and wind sailers! Very nice to walk when the tide is out. Great place to see bald eagles too.
This is one of my favourite places to run all year round. It's so beautiful and the trails are amazing. The dogs absolutely love being in here!
Dog heaven. Especially when the tide is out. Good luck with parking!
Great dog park at the end of Spanish Banks. Go either when the tied is out for a long walk on the beach or go when the tied is in when all the dogs are chasing each other on the beach and going in for a swim. Good for dog owner's to jump in the ocean and cool off during those hot summer months.
Best off leash area in Vancouver. Period.
Wow! This is probably my favourite dog park of all time. It was peaceful, not too packed. Great view. Dog approved!
Tons of dogs and off leash trails. Nice beach with plenty of sticks for your dog.
It’s big it’s awesome, just dangerous where the bike trail is cause most bikers seem oblivious that they are going through a dog park , not everyone seen their pooch pooping, so watch where you walk.
Took our boy for the first time today and he loved it. Plenty of space to run around and lots of dogs to play with. Be aware there was a lady there today with a big Malamute; the dog ran at mine and attacked him. The lady had no control over her dog and my husband had to pick ours up. She must have known her dog was about to attack as she was screaming it's name (Dora) when it ran over. Luckily no one was hurt.
Love this place. Thank goodness for no food stalls nearby
Best ( and largest) off leash beach/park in the lower mainland. One of the few places where you the human can have a nice long off leash walk too (instead of standing around a one block by one block off leash park waiting for your dog to tire himself out). Stunning views of the city, Stanley park and the north shore! We go year round and my dog loves swimming at the beach.
My dog loves to come here, especially at low tide. Lots of room to run around on the grass and on the beach.
With great weather and a view like this, a visit here to chill is a must... Biking, walking or carsharing...
Love this place. My dog loves this place. Big open field. Big beach for him to play. There are some diggers so mind your step in the field. Perfect spot!
The area has access to water if your dog likes taking a swim. Good at low tide but a bit rocky in some areas.
Nice park for dogs n frisbee
Luv the park, great view, picnic tables and ample free parking
Always a treat to catch the setting sun...and then turn and see the glow of our vibrant city as it reflects the glorious glow of the evening.
Great place to relax and picnic and have your dog(s) off-leash. People are friendly and everybody has the understanding that this is an off leash area. But if you are not a dog person, the off-leash area is not for you as lots of pups are running around.
Spanish Banks never disappoints as a wonderful place with its own dog beach, lots of other dogs to play with and the photo worthy opportunities are everywhere. This is also the best place to enjoy any sunset.
Tide was way out and the water was warm enough to swim
Lovely scenic area, lots of space, it's pretty quiet for the most part. Water is dirty I wouldn't reccomend swimming. Great place for kids and families
Best time to go there, if you do not mind a diry wet dog, is at low tide :) lots of space, easy to spot other dogs, and lots of smells.
Great place to ride the bike to. Current parking restrictions with COVID-19. Lots of park and beach space.
Easily the best off leash area in Vancouver. It's huge, hard for dogs to run into a road, and is on the ocean. 10/10 would go again
Lots of open space at low tide. Make sure you know when the tide comes in, because you don't have much time to save your shoes! :)
Good area for off-leash adventures. The landscape changes as the tide ebbs and flows. It's a popular spot, and the number of people and dogs might sometimes be a little overwhelming for some pups.
Beach, offleash dog park, dogs, BBQ, and low tide (or even high tide for that matter)... what's not to like? Get there early on summer weekends.
Spanish Banks is always a great place to spend time (as long as you get find parking or get a ride down there!)
Best dog park in the world!?
Great spot for our active dog to swim and run! Great parking, benches, logs. Spectacular view!
Probably the best place to walk your dog off leash in Vancouver area.
Great place with or without dog. We hiked to wreck beach from there...around 2 hours one way. Awsome!
Beautiful! We love the sunsets here!
Love to let the Huskies run off-leash. In the summer when the tides get extremely low the beach offers many, many square kilometers of real estate for dogs to run, play and socialize. Truly a great spot.
Is a beautiful day for a long walk in the park a little bit cold but no washroom
Between the very nice park on the ocean shores and the running around on the ocean's floor when the ride is low, dogs and humans alike have tons of fun.
Fun with the dogs especially when the tide is out. Go early to get s parking spot.
My fave place to go @ any time of year. There is a path that goes for miles along the water and you have great views of the North Shore and Bowen Island.
Great low key park if you love dogs and it being less busy.
Great spot to take your dog any time of the year. It's especially cold near the waters edge, so wear extra layers.
It's an awesome park, I only wish there was some fences. People drive very fast down Marine Dr and it's scary when the dogs get too close to the road. The beach is beautiful though.
a big dog park with lots of variety; has a large grassy area for more independent dogs to play ball with their owners, and a gravel path that leads to the beach for more social dogs. it can be busy depending on when you go, but it’s so big that finding space is not too much trouble (save for weekends in the summer - the parking lot can be full by noon on a nice day). the most magical part of this park is the super low tide in the summertime - a combination of sandbars and tide pools extend out from the shore, creating a lot more space for dogs to run and play.
The off leash beach is a good size and there a few logs to sit on. Great views over the water!
Excellent beach and doggy park... just need a bathroom you don't need to drive to! :)
I was there for the legendary Sunday Drum Circle. Nearby is a sandy beach where you can throw a ball for your dog into the surf or get some sun. Plenty of free parking which can offer competative parking on busy days. There is no running water too close, but there are public porta potties within convenient reach. There is a vast grassy area peppered with trees for shade and picnic tables
Super duper beautiful. Dogs bbq food times good friends sun fresh air. I mean, what more would you like?
A decent place to have a bbq. The dog park is not fenced or enclosed and the boundaries are a little mobile. There is good access to the beach. Many of the picnic tables have a metal plate for hot grills. Parking can get full very quickly on busy days. Cone early to get both a table and a spot.
One of the great havens for dogs in the Vancouver area. Off-leash fun in the sun. Cannot recommend this place enough
Nice place for walking on sandy beaches
So many doggos to say hello to. 12/10. Would visit again.
This is probably the best off leash park around Vancouver. The off leash area is big and very beautiful. You have the option to stay on the grass with you dog or go to the beach. Just know that there is no physical boundaries, so keep an eye on your pets or they can go into the parking lot or on the bicycle area. There are also tables available for picnic and bbq within the off leash area.
Great place for a bbq all kinds of picnic tables with bbq stands. Very open, a lot less busy than other parts of Spanish banks. Really big field for dogs to run. Everyone we ran into was super friendly as well.
Twice I went here for the Baerora Birealis which never showed up. The field is a swamp when it rains a lot. I would never bring my dog here....it would require a bath after returning. I am sure the Parks Board can do a better job.
Meeting the best doggos in the city!
The dog beach is a pooch paradise!
The more "chilled out" end of Spanish Banks
The perfect place to watch the sun set and the lights of the city sparkle at dusk. Depending on the time of year, a relatively quiet place for reflection, listening to the rhythm of the waves, observing wildlife, having a picnic or playing games. Still one of my favourite places in metro Vancouver after 30 years.
My favourite dog beach in the city. Lots of space to walk and splash around during low tide and a cute little bay to swim with your pooch at high tide.
Generally parking available, great beach spot for the pups and awesome views of the bay and city.
Great place to walk and take the dogs!
My favourite beach in vancouver. Low tide allows a loong walk in the water and an excellent way to tire out one's pooch.
Beautiful ocean and mountain scenery. A great place to get a walk in and enjoy the outdoors Al the dogs were well behaved and respectful. Includuding the owners. Nice to see. Woof, woof.
Great waterfront location with spectacular views of the North Shore Mountains, sunsets, and the Vancouver skyline. Plenty of benches and tables for all. Beach area for dogs adds a extra fun spot for off-leash play. A special park for our family and we often visit the memorial table dedicated to my folks. Enjoy!
Dog park amazing just wish people who didn't own dogs didn't picnics or bike thought this area
Beautiful place, my dog loves it, especially running on the tidal flats. When very hot, however, some owners bring dogs that haven’t been socialized very well and really shouldn’t be there. A huge dog lunged at my little guy, he wasn’t hurt but it could have easily escalated.
This off leash dog park = dog heaven.
Amazing views of the downtown core.... Great safe place to let ur pup swim and run on the grass and sand
Love dogs? Love beaches? Well, this is the closest to paradise you can get in a city
Beautiful place to take your dogs, let them run off leash and socialize. A plethora of places to walk and explore with and without your dogs. Especially impressive is when the low tide arrives in the early afternoon (2pm and onwards). Don't forget to bring some potable water as it gets very warm when the sun comes out.
Nice open field and a sandy beach. Definitely recommend if your pup loves water.
What a wonderful place to wander with your dog off leash
My favourite place in Vancouver! The best dog beach too!
The grass area is too muddy. Can't walk on it. Parks should really consider doing a better job seeding grass twice per year.
Easy to distance socially, smooth and flat paths
Awesome dog park very busy Saturday. Never saw anything except dogs acclimated to others. Nice job Vancouver.
Beautiful cloudless morning with bikes and joggers in abundance. In the parking lot was an informal annual car show, with the proud owners sharing information about the work that went into their rides, while sipping coffee. It was a very friendly atmosphere, assisted by the bright blue physical atmosphere.
Great place for dogs, my Dobbie absolutely loved it; even through she doesn't like water, we introduced her to it and she learnt how to swim!
Nice place. Amazing views. Great people.
Beautiful beach and view!
Good off leash dog park, with a field and a beach. On the weekends and evenings with nice weather, be aware that there can be people who bring their dogs which are NOT well behaved and are not interested in supervising or controlling their animals poor behavior
Great area for walking hiking, biking, h ing fun with kids ....
Great place for dogs and to see the sunset!
Best views and not a crowded as the nearby Locarno or Jericho beaches probably because it is hard to get here unless you drive in. Lots of grilling going on during summer time, winter time is a little quiet. You will see a lot of people running and biking year-round. This beach is always great to visit, even in the winter of it is not raining and you can brave the windchill. At night cities on the other side of the water light up which looks very pretty.
Nice walking trail around & beautiful scenic
If your dog is aggressive don’t let it off leash you absolute pillocks, both I and my puppy have been attacked here by abused animals it is unacceptable to put other people at risk so you can enjoy a walk. Otherwise lovely. However. Just watch out and keep yourself safe. They’re are dangerous animals here.
A huge off leash area with beach access and large grassed areas. Lots of dogs and traffic, both pedestrian and cyclists, would not recommend if your dog loves to chase either.
RAIN ☔ or Sunshine ☀ morning, noon, or night, probably one of the best places to jog, walk, run, take the dog in Vancouver. The ships, mountains and downtown views make it a must. Sunset is the most amazing time to be there!
Spectacular sunsets. Lots of dogs enjoying the beach and ocean.
Spanish Banks is a very large portion of the accessible part of the Pacific Ocean inlet before reaching UBC and the beaches of the cape, and with its rich sand and rock features, breathtaking views and beautiful atmospheric effects of fresh ocean breezes mixed with the always cool Pacific Northwest sun makes for an enriching natural experience and truly one of the best Vancouver has to offer for non swimmers and dog lovers. Although the water is respectfully frigid for 10 months of the year, with all the other friendly pooches and dog owners to chat with and have some puppy gladiator matches with, you are hardly going to be thinking about how cold that water really is.
Crowded beach with soo many volleyball court that it get very busy and also noisy with sand dust everywhere. A small portion at the end of the beach make it possible to watch sunset in calm. If you come by foot or public transport you will …
Free parking. Not an overwhelming number of dogs but so far they've all seemed very friendly and well mannered. Gorgeous view of the water.
One of my dog's favorite places! Beautiful views and great for taking long walks along the beach.
The most spacious and beautiful off leash park in Vancouver!
Sandy beach with much room to throw sticks into the ocean and logs to perch on if you just want to watch. Very popular with dog owners!
Gorgeous beach at the far end of Spanish Banks to let your canine friends run and swim. One of our favorite places in the city!
Very nice place to relax and unwind. The clean fresh air, the sound of the waves hitting the shore. Just beautiful!
This beach is the bomb. Go at low tide for miles of fun!
Great dog park especially at low tide!
Dogs dogs dogs...everywhere. Last parking lot heading west. Go at low tide, park in the (still free) lot and take a seemingly never-ending walk out to the water's edge. Your dog will love and you will love you! Weekends and hot days are extremely busy for parking so get there early. Highly awesome and extremely Vancouver.
Plenty of wide open fields. Public outhouses nearby. A bit far but worth the drive out. Overall, a great place to play fetch and socialize the ????.
Great view, plenty of parking.
A very nice park with a nice shore view
Best beach in Vancouver bar none. Wreck beach is nice but bit of a zoo. An amazing place to let your dog run and run and run. If your dog is not good with other dogs off leash - do NOT go here, please.
Plenty of room for dogs to run around. Gorgeous beach that humans and dogs can enjoy
Nice dawn view
I spent a beautiful birthday outside at the picnic table and by the water. Fantastic view
Go an hour before low tide. Under 2 meters best but 1.1 is better Watch the people and come in so you dont get caught wading back thru rising tide
I don’t think I need to write anything. Look how happy he is!
Great place for doggos. Loads of space for them to run around and make friends. Got the beach right there too so they can go for a paddle. Bring some boots if it's rainy season though because the field gets pretty muddy.
Open field, dog friendly beach, a great place to being your furry companion. At least until the city of Vancouver installs paid parking.
Still one of the best places to go on a warm afternoon. With or without a ????????????
Check the tide charts and if your schedule permits time your walk so that you are walking out as the tide is nearing its lowest point in the day. Your dog will thank you for it! Also don't forget your dog towels!
Great, relaxing place to spend your day.
Beautiful place to hangout with family and friends.
One of my fav spots in Vancouver, What a blessing!
This is a very beautiful dog park. It's missing one star because they should have called this "Spanish Barks: Off Leash Dog Park"
My favorite spot to run off leash
Go to Spanish Banks at low tide on a sunny summer day and then walk out to the water. Look around. You will be the best place on earth. My photo shows high tide when it is only really, really nice.
If you love eagles, if you love the outdoors. This is this the place for you. Amazing outdoors. What else can I say?
Love this place bc you can social distance really easy. Great area to bring your dog and chill. There is a little area they can go in the water, picnic tables, bathrooms and beautiful sunsets!
Good place to go with your little friends, just could not see a place to let them drink water or to throw some poo bags
Great open field for dogs to run and a nice size beach with sand. Has tables on the grassy area for picnics. We love coming here.
Definitely my favourite off leash dog park, especially on low tide
Amazing place for both dogs and humans. Note for BBQ people this Beach does not have a bin for your coals
Great off leash park! Tons of friendly people and dogs. Seems busiest around lunch, which is nice to get your furry friend socializing and playing.
Great place to take your dog. Beach is really nice. Usually quite busy in the summer especially on hot days. Not a lot of parking around the area. Areas of trees are nice for cooling down out of the sun.
Perfect place for socialising dogs and letting them run. Amazing views as well. Grateful for this area!
Nice beach to take your dog..great for kids especially when the tide is out.
Extremely clean; litter-free. Friendly faces! Dogs & kids playing!!
Nowaday, everything in this world is all about humans conbinience... not servival... just a bit more of conbinience. Its a one of a few place, the old school cohabitant between dogs and human works. A heavn for most trained dogs and trained human????
When it's low tide, you can walk all the way out. A beautiful place to spend an afternoon with kids. Just be careful with the rocky beach.
Love the flats when the tide is out! Tons of space for the dogs to run around. The parking lot gets filled quickly so if it's a sunny day, you are best advised to get there early.
Great place people and their furbabbies. Not for those who have no time for dogs. Totally off leash, except a few aggressive dogs. But owners had them tied up. Great place for family picnics with their puppies ????.
Pretty decent spot, nice free parking, and lots of porta potties. Would be great if it were to have a beach spot, and maybe a fence from the road, but still really good regardless.
Always a great place to stop and enjoy the majesty of Vancouver!
Very nice for all, the water is nice and shallow especially as the tide goes out . The city should provide a washing station so you can wash the sand off the dogs and your feet. The parking is totally free. Make sure to pick up if you take a dog. The lady with the big black poodle chose to ignore her dooggie poo and was rude when it was pointed out to her. My wife offered her a bag to pick it up but she refused, I should have taken a photo and posted it. Maybe next time I will.
Very nice dog park with a stretch of beach! Dogs of all sizes can go further out during low tide. Great place to go relax and have fun with your dog/family!
Not too crowded later in the evening these days. Our pup really enjoys running around and exploring the rocky beach area
Lovely recreation area for picnics &BBQ, walk cycle or just sit and admire the view!
Great place for your dog, a nice Sandy Beach, a large area for them to play, a bit hard to find parking during certain seasons but all and all pretty good!
One of Harpers favorites! She always meets other dog friends here and we have fun talking with other owners. Very friendly off leash where all the dogs stick to the beach. Lots of great sticks as well ;)
beautiful spot. 2 bad others do not pick up after their dog.
Awesome place especially in low tide Beach for the dogs and grass (also off leash zone)
Parking is always a steuggle in Vancouver, but the attractions are worth it.
Great place for the family and the best friend...saw so many friendly happy dogs playing w their owners...very respectful owners and doing their part to pickup and ckeanup..even saw one water down the area with water...bravo
Nice beach but seem not so friendly environment... Ran into dog walker who basically let off leash the aggressive dogs and I felt if this went bad there was no way for him to stop it as he had his hands full
Love, love, love it! But pretty sure my furry four-legged buddy loves it even more! (Be sure that you end up at the Off Leash Beach though, as Google first took me to the part of Spanish Beach with Volleyball nets, etc, that prohibits …
Pleasant area to relax and enjoy fresh air. Free parking is a big plus .
Lots of friendly dogs enjoying the grass and dog beach. There were plenty of people having BBQs too and when I was there a drum circle was making a great beat.
Great Beach For Dogs! Your choice of being in the sun or staying under shade. Friendly dogs and owners.
you just can't beat it. Best off leash park ever!
Food is fresh and delicious milkshakes super sweet ????. Nice atmosphere chill vibe.
Beautiful off leash dog beach, great for watching the sunset
I love this place almost as much as my dog does. It's so hard to find places where dogs can just run a long ways and not have to worry about them running into traffic (mostly). I love that I can just stroll through the tidal pools and she goes crazy bouncing through them or playing with other dogs.
Cannot say enough good things about this spot. Not only is it dog friendly but a quarter as busy as kits or Jericho beach. Not to mention free parking. There is a huge Feild with picnic benches great for letting the doggo run around or have a BBQ with some friends/family. If you time it right you can catch the tide out and walk along the beach for what seems like forever. My favorite beach in Van by far.
My dog is afraid of going into the ocean, but lets face it, we are there for me...he pouts when i wade in. Nice at low tide in the summer. Warm shallows that go for miles
Best off-leash dog park in Vancouver, imo. Great beach area. Friendly people, friendly dogs. Only problem is the bathrooms are a bit of a walk if you are planning to spend the day there.
There is no better off leash dog park in Western Canada. When the tide is out, Luna can run for miles. Lots of friendly dogs and owners.
Awesome views. Noticed how many homeless sleeping in cars, vans, RVs of all sizes. Build affordable housing already COV!
Great spot, unfortunately when it gets busy there is not enough parking. Curb parking is not allowed, but me about 30 other cars had no other option. Didn't get a ticket. Not sure if it was luck or the city is aware of the situation and being nice about it.
Tons of space, nice field and beach area for dogs (and humans) to play in!
At low tide this is the best place in Vancouver to run with your puppy friends
Always relaxing to walk by the beach.
A favourite place of mine to take my dog to. Depending on time, I may start from top of Pacific Spirit Park with the entrance just off of West 4th and make my way down through the paths to the beach. There is a ton of space for the dogs to run free off leash and off the tide is out, the basis allow for sandy adventures. Super busy on long weekends, so be forewarned trying to find parking.
Big open area for dogs to run around. Access to the water is good. Too much bike traffic/pedestrians. Not a lot of people who want to let dogs play with other dogs.
I come to this spot in the mornings before work to chill out and enjoy the view. Free parking and free barking are a real plus. It is always entertaining as well with novice doggers running amok with the real deal owners. On windy days the waves are fantastic as well.
Awesome dog beach with lots of room. Great trails near by in pacific sprit park.
A great place for a socially distanced meetup for you and your pooch living friends and family. Lots of space to spread out.
One of Vancouver,s public spaces no parking charges apply. Nor should there ever be. We pay for things freely given by our ancestors, then ......????????????great place tng.o play 12 strung!
Best beach view of the downtown core. Good flat walk on gravel path.
Amazing beach with a great view ????
Really good place for dogs! They'll enjoy their time in the mud and cool clean water.
The trail's a bit muddy in places(weather related), much of the older growth's been cut, opening the canopy and allowing more diffused light to penetrate the ground; fresh fresh air! ????♂️????♂️????????☔
Great place to bring your dog to swim in the Ocean. Most dog owners here a very good because you have to go out of your way to get here so most dogs are well behaved. When the tide is out you can walk way out on the tidal flats, a great experience.
The most beautiful beach in Vancouver. Great for dogs, too. I never before saw so many different types of dogs in one day.
Beautiful place with amazing views of the sea, the mountains and the city. Great for picnics, freebie and other recreational activities. Path for walking and a concession stand not too far for snacks.
