Here you will see the information of real people who bought the services of El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens (Zoo) in Wabana (Canada).
Currently the firm receives a score of 4.3 out of 5 and this score has been based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is really high, and it's founded on a very high number of opinions, so we may say that the score is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to leave their feddback when they are happy with the business, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to set scores when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Zoo belongs to the category of Zoo.

It was ok. The walk was good, and the animals too. Just that the consetion stands werent open, i dont know if its only certain days that they sell. But those would've been nice. Also the gift shop was a little bit over priced.

It definitely was better than what I expected. The new addition is nice the old section not nice at all. Also they should try to keep the aquarium clean, can't see anything through green glass.
Loved it had a blast. It was very hot day but zoo has cooling spots where kids can get wet as well as adults very well mapped out.
Lots of potential, but not there yet. When we arrived, we were told 1/3 of the zoo was closed for construction. It looks like it is going to be nice eventually! Positives - on a busy Sunday we saw several animal trainer interactions in small venues. We hand fed a giraffe and watched a trainer work with the giraffe, a lion and a sea lion. They demonstrate real behaviors to prepare for get visits, not silly tricks. Negative - on a busy Sunday, only one food option was open (a bunch were closed). Food options were popcorn, nachos and churros. Water or Powerade were the only drinks. All in all, $12 per adult to get in, and a good time for 3 hours.
Love visiting the El Paso zoo. Kids always have a great time

The exhibits are good. A lot of construction going on and some exhibits were not open. They have a nice play area and splash area for kids so bring attire to get wet in because it can get hot.
Glad we got our membership, loved it! Haven't been here in 6yrs! Love what they have done!
Definitely improved since the first time I’ve been there and great prices
Been to plenty of zoos in Texas and I can tell you that I really did enjoy our time at this zoo. All the attention to detail really shows. Also, I love the extra large exhibits they provide for some of the animals like the lions, tiger, elephant, giraffes, and orangutans. My kids as well as myself really enjoyed it and had lots of fun. The only downer...and that's it, was the gift shop at the entrance closed at exactly 3. I've never been to a zoo where that happens. Every time I take my kids to a new zoo I always get them a souvenir at the end. My boy was kinda sad but he got over it. Other than that we loved the experience here????
Always a great experience when we go!
It's getting there, but has a long way to go. Too many exhibit's were closed, still payed full price.
This place is TINY half of their already small exhibits are empty not worth $27 more like $15. The staff is also rude, you couldn't get me to come here again if it was free what a joke.
The splash area is amazing. The staff is very understanding, amazing and helpful. I'm really glad they understand my daughter is on the spectrum. They also have cats there Friday, Saturday and Sunday! It's amazing!!
Outstanding zoo they just opened the new added area and it's so beautiful they added jaguars and wild cats! The awesome climbing obstacle course is so fun! And cheap too without a time limit ! Would recommend
El Paso is lucky to have such a great zoo! Be sure to get a map or download it before you go. The daily schedule is posted close to the the Americas part of the zoo. Lots of info on the website but it may not be up-to-date so check out the posted schedule or ask. You can bring snacks in a cooler, wagons or strollers, and bags with extra clothes (kids will want to do the splash pad in the summer!) and sunscreen. Great way to spend a few hours. There's a playground, splash pad, and carousel as well as many exhibits and possibly kittens to adopt. Lots to do at the El Paso Zoo! ????
Very amazing animals. Enjoyed very much

I hadn't been to the zoo for almost 2 years ever since Covid started, and let me tell you that yall have to go they've added so much stuff it's amazing, we all had such a wonderful time. You can find hand sanitizer stand all over the zoo, I recommend the memberships, there's different ones.

Had a great time! Definitely recommend going during the off season since it's so much quieter than going in summer!
I love the zoo, the only reason I gave it 4 stars was because we didn't get to see all of the animals due to the heat. Other than that the staff was great and my kiddos were happy so that made me happy.

We love this zoo. We received a free year pass from ACS and we want at least 2 times a month. It maybe small but my kids loved it. My only problem is only one time did we see the male sea lion trainer and he was the best. Sushi was my kids favorite reason for going and as we went the trainers seemed to make the show more and more bland and unappealing. The man was very good with the crowd and sushi. Plenty to do. My youngest was typically done after 4 hours once it hit nap time but my oldest could have went for hours. They loved the train, gift shop was not to badly priced but I mean it is a gift shop. We went to almost all the events. Just a great little place to go with the family or anyone really. We have since moved and really miss having this get away on the weekends. When we left they were adding attractions so I hope it has only improved!

Great place for walking but was very busy this weekend.plus sum of my favorite animals were not there.I was a bit disappointed to see all my giraffes were not there????hope there here next time I come back.it has a lot of new attractions for little ones.it includes horse carousel, little water park to get wet,big jungle gym area to play.plus attraction of waterfall that will wet you when you pass by it.you have to catch it every 5 minutes to feel it????it was still great to be here????????nature
I might not be the primary demographic but for young adults the zoo is still fun. It's a nice place to walk around and talk with friends. Plenty of shaded benches with nice views of the animals.
Tremendous, was lovely to see all the animals that were situated. Was also great to know certain facts about each animal

Nice way to spend a couple hours
Its green and a lot of space for animals to roam around. I love it.
I know it has had a bit of a bad reputation, but you can tell they are trying there hardest and are doing a good job making all the animals homes are liveable and they are constantly involving the lovely animals they have. In my opinion it's a very nice zoo because they are actually trying to improve and they are doing a very good job at it!

Not alot of animals where out. Kinda was a waste if money. My kids liked the splash pad more then the animals. Very sad.
We love this zoo! It takes my family roughly 2 hours to walk the entire zoo, and that is with kids 8 and under. They have enrichment for both the animals and the kids, with a little treehouse park and splash pad. There are food stands throughout the park and we have enjoyed the dippin' dots. The animals are well taken care of and are quite active when we have gone. I appreciate the open exhibits with safety in mind for both animals and humans.
Really enjoyed my recent visit to the El Paso Zoo with my 2 year old son. There have been many great renovations like the addition of the merry-go-round and the new Leopard exhibit. The staff were really friendly and the kids play area is nice and clean when taking a break with your little one. The merry-go-round and train costs extra ($2/ticket) but are worth it to fully experience this zoo. It is close to the USA/Mexico border so pay close attention to the signs or you may end on your way to Juarez, MX. Overall great place for a day of fun at an affordable price.
Loved the new renovations they did. ❤????

The remodeling is coming along nice, but not a lot of animals. The trick or treating was cute.
Some of the attractions and facilities were still closed due to Covid restrictions. Though, there was still plenty fun to be had! Had a great time!

I've loved this Zoo since I was a child. I love the lionesses and the Sun bear the most! They also recently expanded the reptile section, which was very enjoyable. The interactive events are very interesting and the walk is about an 1 hour and a half to 3 hours depending on how much you decide to take in on your visit!

This is a great zoo! There is a splash pad to cool off in and a playground for the kids plus a carousel all inside the zoo! Super fun for the kids which is great for the entire family! Plus if you go early enough you may feed some animals!????????????????????
The zoo's a great place to pass good family time. Great expansions and improvements have been made to improve the experience and animals' well-being!

A great place to visit in El Paso. Watch out for directions by google maps; it took us to two different employee entrances until we found the right one on our own. Wear sunscreen for sure. Lots of fun animals to see.
We went when it was sprinkling and we had an awesome time. Some of the animals were indoors but the weather waa nice.
It needs work but it's a beautiful experience to share with your offspring.

Attended the bird show which was neat. It included a toucan, pelican, owl, and a few others. Got to see lions, zebras, orangutans, a giraffe, an elephant, meerkats, and more. Pretty good zoo. They're adding more on too.
Friendly staff. Nice exhibits. Icee was $4.99 and Kids meal (4 nuggets, apple sauce and Capri sun), popcorn was $4.32. Outside food is allowed in the zoo but not in the cafes (food courts).
They've dumped alot! Of money in that place recently and they made it enjoyable again. Penguins coming next year!

I see the 5 star reviews and I just don't get it. Did I visit on an off day? Or perhaps my expectations were to high. The entire zoo just looked so sad!!! Let me start by saying that I haven't visited since I was a child, I am 31. So I was super excited to visit because I've heard of all the expansions and remodeling they have been doing. We headed straightaway to see the African exhibit, the giraffe so beautiful and majestic, it broke my heart to see it's enclosure so close to the damn freeway!! Poor thing forever hearing the sound of passing cars. The tiger seemed thin and malnourished (unless I'm missing something, I'm no tiger expert). We then headed to the sea lion exhibit and the water was so murky you couldn't see him ( there was a sign stating the water had just be cleaned and that's why there was no visibility it also stated that the cleaning is safe for the sea lion). The saddest part for me was the elephant exhibit. The poor thing was stuck doing repetitive behavior, swaying back and forth. The zoo just wasn't for me. On a positive note the staff was very warm and friendly. And my daughter really enjoyed the new playground. It's really beautiful and it was our favorite part of our visit

Having a membership is worth it, not only for the price but for the convenience of it making the long lanes to but tickets during weekends
I was very impressed with the employees and how cheerful, helpful and informative they all where . The zoo was very upkept and was using renewable resources was very educational . Things I didn't like there was no clear signs on where to go so me and my family just wondered around and enjoyed the scenery. Would definitely recommend

Fun, not a lot of people and plenty of space for social distance. I have the membership,TOTALLY worth it
Their was no line to buy tickets , and their really wasn't many people in zoo , I got a chance to comfortably see animals and take pictures with nobody in the way , though they should open more snack shop's..
Although a number of the animals weren't on display, we had an Amazing time. We spent 3 hours exploring, taking pictures, having fun. Well worth the price of admission.
First time here. Extremely clean . The exhibits are well maintained. The only thing I would recommend is another gift shop on the premises or more merchandise at the existing one. Otherwise, I highly recommend this zoo to everyone. The more visitors, the more we can contribute to programs that benefit animals.

Cool animals to see and very fun. Good food too
Zoo seemed nice enough. They won't let you leave the zoo once you've entered even if you just paid. We entered the zoo and forgot our daughters milk in the car. Turned right around and they told us if we leave we can't enter again without paying. Kinda B/S. Also a lot of construction and not a lot of animals out. Probably due to the heat. Not the zoos fault. Well try again in the fall or winter. Would be nice to see that entrance and exit policy change.
Its a great place to bring the kids and learn about some different animals that live around the world. Splash area available to beat the summer heat and delicious snacks. Fun for the whole family! Don't forget your monkeys on the way out, lol, I mean munchkins! The animals seem more active in the mornings. The Zoo appreciates our military, come by with your military Id and get a discount.

Kids liked it, especially the playground with the slides. Many of the animals were not out for viewing as it was kinda cold. Would be better in warmer weather. The train was a little overpriced for how little you can see from it, but it was fun anyway. There are no paper maps any longer so you need a digital one.
Even with a lot of stuff closed down due to Covid, there's plenty to see. The animals all look healthy and happy and the park itself is clean. Admission price is reasonable and the family pass will be worth it once things are able to open a little more.
Been waiting for years to see this place again and a big disappointment. Dirty, sad, and just a waste of money.

Family friendly, small enough to not feel rushed. Bathrooms need some maintenance, some sinks didn't work, missing soap dispensers, etc. Some enclosures were very nice, others could use some improvement.
We are zoological society members. We always enjoy our zoo visits. The giraffe encounter is the best.

Everything was under construction and very few animals were out except birds and a few sleeping lions. It should have just been closed for the day. Even the concession stands were closed.
Much needed escape from el paso, it's like a little oasis, my husband and I love coming here. The only complaint I have is that some of the exhibits are starting to look more run down and after a year and a half later they still haven't brought in the penguins which was the thing I was most excited to see today, other than that very reasonably priced and everyone is super nice. But give me some cute penguins sliding on ice please

Zoo was a fun experience with water park and birthday celebration for one of the jaguars. Besides those attraction the experience was okayyyy... lots of exhibits were closed or under construction. The Cat adoption center was cool, interacting with cats while taking a break was a good addition.
An outstanding, fun Zoo to spend the day at with family or friends!!

The zoo is much improved from even as recent as a couple years ago, the exhibits have grown! Unfortunately there is not much catered for visitors looking to avoid the weekend crowd, no shows or guides
It was great. Seeing all the animals was fun. Was able to meet Santa at the zoo!
Nice stroll through the exhibits. Great zoo even if it is not too big.
$6–10
Due to the pandemic shows are canceled, however, it has grown. Plenty of space for people to spread outdoors and enjoy the animals. You can still bring your own food, drinks, snacks. Remember no glass allowed. Some vendors were open inside, selling food, snacks and beer. The Mexican wolves were more active as they have a new enclosure in a hole new section of the zoo. Penguins are coming soon.
We were treated to a brief behind the scenes tour of this excellent zoo. Staff was committed, competent, friendly and passionate about their animals and work!
This year the zoo was just ok. Wearing a mask outside is insane! The indoor exhibits were closed and there were a few animals that weren't out "due to weather". The weather was perfect. The food court was good.

Pretty good overall still some things closed but expensive $56 ????
This is a very nice walk. Not too crowded. I do think some of the enclosures are small for some of the larger animals, but overall, it is a nice way to spend an afternoon.
We went after 3 PM and we saw a giraffe and a sea lion. That's it. The staff told us they were putting all the animals away after being there for only one hour. What a lame a** zoo. Don't waste your $$.

Small but clean and fun zoo. Can handle crowds well. My big complaint was the signage. A lot of the enclosures did not have a sign telling you who was inside.
The only reason I am not giving the El Paso Zoo a better rating is due to almost none of the animals being available. The person working the ticket counter had already warned us that the lions that the exhibition for the big cats where running late, but we never saw them. My family and I were there from 11:50PM to 3PM and were disappointed with the lack of animals available. The positive about the El Paso Zoo is the splash pad for the kids. I will give the El Paso Zoo another chance once the weather get cooler (it was really hot the day that we went).
Always fun going to the Zoo and having the kids enjoy themselves and learn new things about the exotic animals ❤️. The Easter Eggstravaganda was fun this year as well.
We love our zoo!! Everybody needs to visit here!

I've been to a bunch of Zoo's all over the country and this one is pretty good. It isn't the biggest Zoo by any means, but it has just the right amount of animals and you can see them all in about 2 hours. The Tiger and Lions both came right up to the glass! Exhibits are small enough that you'll actually get to see the animals depending on what time the zookeepers put the animals out. We'll be back again for sure! The only downside is they say that they have a military discount so I showed my veterans card and the girl at the front gave me an attitude and said it's active duty only. Uhhh..ok? For myself and my 2 kids it was right under 30 bucks to get in. Also, going during the week is good to prevent the massive crowds, but you'll probably run into little kids on field trips. So work your way around the kids to avoid the screaming and insanity that comes with a group of 73 5 year olds.
Very unkept, staff was nice, but there was no animals out, and if there was there was only one, just a sad sad zoo.

This is maybe the BEST zoo I have ever been to! My kids (age 1, 4, and 10) all loved it too! Would definitely visit again in the future.

We took my two toddlers to the zoo and had a blast for our total spend for admission, foods and two toys to bring hom3 within $100! The admission ticket prices are reasonable and the 6-min ride train was free ! Staff is courteous and helpful!
Would have been enjoyable if all the employees would all stop harassing about having mouth and nose covered. ESPECIALLY when we are trying to eat, drink, and take pictures. Federal CDC guidelines have been updated twice! One stating masks did not have to be worn OUTSIDE! The newest update is FULLY VACCINATED people do not have to wear a mask. My family and I went thru the hassle of scheduling vaccines to be treated like this at your establishment.

I'm a bit fan of smaller, hometown zoos. They're usually less crowded and are a more intimate experience with the animals. This zoo is no exception. It has the main draws for little ones — tigers, lions, elephant and giraffe, along with a variety of other unexpected surprises. Pre-COVID, it has a playground, train, carousel, dining facilities, splash pad and high-rise rope and beam climbing. There's a little bit of everything, all for a reasonable price. Go early before the animals get too hot and lethargic!
Took visitors from Austin to visit the EP zoo. El Paso should be soo proud of such an amazing zoo. Since I’ve been going there, it just keeps getting better and better! Can’t wait for the new Chihuahuan area to open up.
I felt I should've waited a few months before visiting because I was disappointed mostly because of many areas being closed . I guess the pandemic is to blame for the shape that the zoo is in right now. I visited about 5 years back and had a great time. I feel $12 to enter is too much and hopefully with time everything should gett better.
Should clean sea lions exhibit can’t see through glass very dirty
Always super fun, they've added so much to the zoo and it looks amazing

Had a good time at the zoo again. This time I got to see the bird show, the giraffe and ocelot exhibits.
Always improving the atmosphere. Animals are well cared for and pleasant staff great experience.
They do not treat the animals very good here. Tiny enclosures, trash inside areas where animals are, they treat the animals water with chlorine which I cannot imagine is healthy for them I saw 30-40+ chlorine tablets in a waterfall that fed water to 2 separate enclosures where the animals could easily go and drink that water. A turtle had been swimming in it. The chemicals were so strong you could smell them standing nearby. This place should be shut down, honestly.
I really enjoy this zoo, small and quaint but very well managed. I would love a larger exhibit for the animals and more interaction with park staff and visitors. This place has a lot of information dispersed throughout but it’s kind of like you roam around and stumble through the park. Love the Africa exhibit and the monkeys. The staff is awesome.

The new chihuahuan dessert addition is a must see for young children and adults. The Jaguar exhibit is awesome! Zoo staff is friendly and informative. We got an impromptu lesson on the prairie dogs my daughter loved it. The older exhibits need some TLC and renovation for the animals sake. Some of the bigger cats are in small enclosures and are very lethargic. They follow covid protocol and you must wear your mask. This does make it unpleasant during the hotter days. But for safety's sake they must be worn.
Not a very large zoo nor do they have many exhibits. However, a lot of the animals they do have you see up close and personal like the jaguar. Nice for a family afternoon.

Great place to take your kids/nephews/or grandchildren but I recommend to get the season pass if you'll be coming more than once & so you don't have to wait in line if there is one
It was ok. Wish there were more animals. Elephants and sea lions were not out.
First and foremost, I would like to extend our gratitude toward the El Paso Zoo for providing an additional year of our membership at no cost to us due to the pandemic. We saw they had the splash pad turned on, which was a bummer for us personally bc we weren't sure if it would be and therefore, didn't bring extra clothes. The Canyon bungee thing wasn't open but the play area was. They've installed a misting system on the bridge between the African exhibits and the rest of the zoo so that was refreshing and made the heat tolerable. Fun Fact: the old gift shop in the Asian exhibit has been turned into a cat adoption center in partnership with the Animal Services of El Paso so you can adopt a kitty and enjoy the elphants. We happen to have a zoo membership so there was literally no wait for us but there was also no line in the general admission ticket kiosks. I recommend getting a membership; you pay one price annually versus every visit. The membership also has its perks with discounted rates at out of town zoos/bioparks. You can visit the Member Center off to the right of the ticket kiosks for current rates and more information. Fun Fact: you can bring a cooler or your own beverages in as long as its not in a glass container. I also saw a family bring in three pizza boxes but I strongly suggest checking with zoo officials first to be sure its allowed. There is plenty of things to beat the heat if you aren't able to enjoy the splash pad. The sea lion show was really fun, I recommend wearing a hat in case you wind up sitting where the sun can hit you. We were lucky enough to also be able to watch the demonstration in the Wildlife Ampitheater which was fun and educational. This area has more shade coverage, so its a nice 30 minute break from the desert sun. As of today, the Birds of the Americas pavilion (near the giant turtle that houses the reptiles) is currently closed due to remodeling so we weren't able to go inside. Did you know there is an event center that is available with a reservation? Check out the El Paso Zoo website for details! Overall, great visit and will be definitely going back soon.
It was a really unique experience, the zoo keepers and trainers are friendly and the elephant workout was awesome
The weather was pleasant, a nice breeze helped keep us cool. It was 80 degrees and there were many animals "not on display" because of the weather...odd. The guard letting us in misinformed us and said the event at 1:30 had been rescheduled to earlier so we didn't get to see it, found out later it WAS at 1:30. ???? We normally browse through at slower pace because we have my 91 yr old Mom with us, however this time we were done in 3 hours since there was so much less to see AND since we missed the 1:30 event. Zoo staff needs to give CORRECT information!

Surprisingly awesome place to go with the kids. They loved it, and I will go again. Beyond just seeing animals the kids enjoyed the play areas, and the general getting out. Will definitely go again.
The zoo itself is okay, but I thought after all the renovations and what not the enclosures would be bigger/better. Instead of putting restaurants and “cafes” they should’ve made the homes for the animals a lot bigger. Some of the enclosures made me sad because it’s like, most of these animals walk so many miles in the wild and they’re confined to this? Sad and pathetic to be honest. Not even that much shaded area’s in certain enclosures. No wonder most of them are just sleeping or laying down somewhere. And the “adults” that take their children are just as childish as their kids. Hitting the glass? Like come on. No wonder your children have no discipline because they copy what you do as a parent. Show some class.
Zoo has had a lot of renovations done that makes it fun for the entire family. I highly recommend getting the yearly subscription as you can take advantage of numerous visits a year plus discounts at other zoos around the country.

There was a line when we decided to go around noon or so, understandable because this was a Sunday. Nonetheless a great place for the kiddos & adults. We went around feeding time so some animals weren't present but that was very few. Great memories for sure! ????????????????????????????????????????????????????
It’s pointless to pay for a membership for a zoo you can even get into the people at the door get to pick and choose admission cut off time
I was very disappointed. Very few animals to see, yet full price. The place was not clean and inviting at all. Right now I feel the zoo is an embarrassment to El Paso. We've lived here many years, and certainly have enjoyed it in the past.
I work for a construction company and we are building new additions to the zoo. The new habitats are going to look super when we finish. I personally love going to the zoo and can't wait to see the new exhibits. It's a great family destination or place to take a date.

We were vacationing from Indiana and decided to try this zoo. The reviews were great, and it was affordable and close to where we were staying. This zoo is mediocre, at best. The cashier at the gate informed us the jaguar and Mexican wolves would not be out that day at all, and the splash park was closed. No discount or even an apology. The glass on almost every exhibit was dirty, to the point you couldn't see through some of the windows at all, many of the animals were not in the exhibits they were labelled to be in (and not because they were sleeping/hidden from view; they were just straight-up not in there), some animals were in other exhibits without any signage to acknowledge they were in there, and many of the animals that were available to see didn't look happy or fully healthy. Some animals that had been moved to new exhibits had crummy printed out signs that had looked to be there for some time and never bothered to be replaced. 4 soft drinks was $20, refills on those sodas were an additional $1.99 each, bottled waters were $3.99, hot dogs meals were $10; while we could have brought food and drink in with us, it still didn't feel necessary to price gouge so much for a fountain Coke or cheap bottle of spring water. I would have been much more likely to donate in one of the boxes scattered through the zoo if the concession prices hadn't been so offensive. The gift shop sold a bunch of stuff featuring animals they don't even have, which I found weird and a cash grab as well. The whole zoo just really came across as wanting to make as much profit as possible while putting as little work into maintenance, care, conservation and breeding programs, and education as possible. We have a small zoo at home we visit once or twice a year, and have visited zoos across the country, including the Albuquerque zoo a few years ago, St Louis Zoo multiple times, and the Nashville Zoo recently. This is a sad, small zoo. I'm not sure if it's indicative of the area or we truly visited at a bad time, but it was just disappointing to visit and see the animals living such a blah life. The zoo needs a serious update and perhaps new people in charge.
We love going to the zoo here. My little one really enjoys it. Though, choose your times to go wisely due to the high temps. Overall, it is a very enjoyable time, just plan ahead, bring some snacks, drinks and enjoy a few hours of family and animals time. The new area that just opened with the carousel is really nice. Be warned ,if you are going to take pics with the cement elephants touch them first, they get very hot and will burn you. Other than that, we love our little zoo.
A lot of the animals were away because of the weather. The zoo overall was really interesting and the evidence of new features show some great additions on the way!
It's a nice zoo, I just feel that the habits are smaller compared to other zoos. People were pretty friendly as well and it was fairly clean.

The zoo it's in big need of maintenance, long weeds need to be taken care of. Some empty habitat make it look creepy.
Always a nice family afternoon. It closed at 3 pm today which was a but surprising but we still had time to see most exhibits.

Wonderful play areas for small and big kids. Unfortunately at the time I went end of May 2021, there were many animals out of exhibit. I love the pop up icy shops for cooling down on a hot day. Easily a 2-4 hour tour depending on how engaged you are with the animals and research signs. I think everyone should give it a fair shot and take a visit while in town! Have fun
A bit pricey, we rode the train which is good for children but not so much for adults. Didn't see much because my spouse was having medical issues so we would need to go back. What I did see was interesting but I can't speak for the rest of the zoo.
Awesome but a bit pricey. First time for 5 year grandson. He had a good time.
My kids love the zoo! We have the $120 membership and it is well worth the money. However, if they say they are going to have an animal show/encounter, they should be doing them or letting guests know they aren't going to be doing them that day. We waited 30 minutes today for the jaguar show, never happened. Again, my daughter got excited for the Sea Lion show and it never happened either. We left disappointed. And, a few weeks ago, we went and they said the same thing about the animal shows and nobody ever showed up. When we asked staff, they didn't know either. ????

I loved it! It's not to small or big. Just right for us. I've been to some of the larger zoos and it's to much for us.. then again we're Sr. citizens. Prices for drinks especially water were very high.

Great day trip for families. Reasonably sized with a good number of animals to see and activities. Opportunity available to feed the giraffes between 11 and 11:30am currently.
Overall the zoo here is okay, nothing special. A nice way to get out and visit the animals.

I LOVE THIS ZOO But I have to say as many times as I went I noticed less & less animals. Lots of stuff to see and look at tho and for kids The playground is awesome

We loved this zoo! The animals all had lots of room to roam, and they were all very active. So far, this is our favorite zoo in Texas! Make sure to go by and see the sea lions. They were our favorite!
Weekend
This review is only for a birthday party held at the El Paso Zoo. Positive review: the place where the party was held is a nice place for about 50 people. I had reserved for 49 individuals and the space was adequate. I paid a total of $2,300 I had extra charges due to having the shaved ice truck for 30 minutes; popcorn and the train ride for 23 kids. The cost included a cheeseburger, nachos, lemonade and water. First the food - it was not good at all the burger patties had no flavor and they did not take salt & pepper to at least add a little seasoning, the nacho cheese is exactly the one you buy out of a can and it was just poured into a hot tray. They took no utensils for those people that did not want to eat the buns and only wanted the patty with the lettuce and tomatoes. The party started at 1 pm, and I scheduled the catering for 1:30 pm, but we had no drinks for 30 minutes until the catering started and I was not allowed to take a cooler with bottle waters since it was being catered but they did say I could take water bottles once the party was over - I don’t even understand this concept. Additionally, they had no options for additional food items so I asked if I could take chips or a big bag of chips to have them serve themselves along with a salad and they said no. Another issue: My guests started arriving and they were initially led in without standing in line, but then around 1:15 pm they started telling my guests that they needed to stand in the long line where people were buying tickets, keep in mind I already had everyone’s tickets at the front gate - again just disorganized. I also had to pay for each tent which I ended up getting 4 of them because there was no shade, so EP zoo please include shade I think it should be part of the package - by the way each tent was $30 so I paid $120 for 4 small tents. For paying over $2300 I would expect better food options - please do better, it ended up being $46 per person. As it stands right now I would not recommend anyone have a birthday party I was very disappointed. For a day visit I think the zoo is great.
Decent zoo for the area we are in. Most of the animals were hidden/sleeping. Some of the exhibits were dirty (with random trash) ESPECIALLY the sea lion one. That one was actually really really gross. The glass was disgusting to the point you couldn’t even see through it :( If you look HARD ENOUGH you can see the outline of the sea lion in both photos. Overall it’s a nice way to spend 2-3 hours or your day. We went on a Saturday and I’m so surprised that EVERYTHING was basically closed. No drink or food stands, and didn’t really see any workers. Didn’t seem like very interactive with kids or their guests.

Not to big, but for kids it's great for walking. It's not like the bigger zoos where the kids get tired of walking halfway through the visit. Great exhibits and friendly staff!

My family and I had a lot of fun! Can't wait till they add the new attractions in 2019!

Beautiful, but a lot of the animals were unavailable and looked to be old and injured or in pain.
Clean, well maintained, great parking, plenty to see, affordable admission and annual memberships. The animals are so close! There's even a water splash pad area. We had a wonderful time! Will certainly use our annual membership many times.
My son loved the zoo even though it could use some major renovations I enjoyed the little zoo. Cute little family outing.
This zoo has expanded so much and continues to grow. The animals look healthy and zoo keepers do a great job at maintaining the area.

My family and I had an awesome time at the May the 4th event. Super cool. Loved that they recognized it. We had a great time.
Great place for kids as well as for grown ups! But right now many rides and shows are closed probably because of the covid19 situation. Hopefully once we are done with this pendamic, el paso zoo will be back with all the entertainment tools available.
Haven't been to the zoo in a really long time. Some exhibits were closed but really enjoyed seeing majority of the animals plus experience new things. Also was great due to the pandemic everything was clean and organized

We always like going here. Had a great day taking pictures of birds and butterflies. Some nice improvements and decently accessibility.
Great Zoo. Great price. Have 0 complaints! Haven't been to it since I was young. Moved away 10 years ago, just moved back and I can honestly say it's a great attraction for El Paso.

Great zoo. They have an amphitheater with 2 shows a day. They have a nice gift shop, a penny smasher and face painting. There is a park with slides for the kids. A beautiful carousel and some rope climbs available if you feel like having an adventure. The sea lions look adorable. They close at three so get there early. The parking was free.
Lovely Zoo. Lots to see. I would avoid buying a FREE refill drink as they are not free refills. They neglect to tell you that.
Good zoo, not to many animals out today. A bit chilly for them

Nice zoo. Not too big, but definitely worth it.
Reopened recently. Went on a Sunday, there was a line but we were in in under 10 minutes. Lions weren't in and alot of stuff was closed but still fun and worth it. They still sell snacks, drinks and beer but its pricey. Bring in a cooler and eat at one of the picnic tables.

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I have done a lot of zoos. My favorite is the New Orleans Zoo which one needs an entire day to see The El Paso Zoo is located a few paces from the Mexican border. They offer military and senior citizens discounts. You have never been hot until you are El Paso hot. That's why the devil left. Lol! It's a great bang for the buck. I only had one frown and it's not the entrance fee. If you go on a week day, you can have the splash pad to yourself. We let the kids get wet in their clothes. Don't worry! Here one dries really fast. The bird show was worth the admission by itself and the keepers stop to answer questions. This is a must do. Suggest that you go in the morning, as it's really hot there.

Great price...It was a nice trip to the zoo wish the train would have been running for my kids. I also hoped it was more exciting the splash pad was okay. Unfortunately they close at 3 p.m. on the weekdays
The zoo was nice I wish they had more shade for the animals. I’m glad they are recycling and teaching kids to take care of the planet.
It was a decent zoo sadly some of the animals weren't there
Nice place. We had 1.5 hours for the visit and we even was not able to see all animals. 32$ for 2adults and 1 kid.

Nice little zoo. My favorite animal here is the meerkat.
Very great place for family, nice and big and plenty of animals to see. Snacks are normal with snow cones, popcorn's and hot dogs. Social distancing is very difficult, everybody wears a mask, except in the splash pad area. As clean as a zoo could be.
Honestly it's animals and you can never go wrong with that. As soon as you think your at the end there is more things to see. Went during the week so there wasn't a lot of people, which is great! There is no shows during the week, but it was still amazing to see. The lion seal glass could have been cleaner to see him. Overall it was an amazing trip.
Awesome and love that they keep improving it. Clean and I cant believe how good the food is. Highly recommend !!!!!!

I like the zoo but feel most of the animals are never out. Maybe this is the reason the young lady jumped in with the spider monkeys, so she could experience more of the zoo. There are not enough food options but usually take a lunch bag. My last visit was May 22, 2021. I have the zoo membership so I can go everyday if I want so eventually I may see more.

Great zoo. Small but well presented attractions and affordable. Takes about 2 hours to see everything.
They have new exhibits. They also have more play areas for the kids to play. Keep up the good work El Paso.
Growing into a beautiful zoo. Its is awesome and fun for everyone to enjoy. Can wait for the Chiuahuan Desert section to open.
Great place to go with the family. It's smaller than big cities Zoo's, but big enough to get your kids tired from walking. Very clean and animals look very healthy. I'd recommend the membership pass if local to the area.
Wonderful array of exhibits! Cleanliness was a little lacking - lots of trash in certain animal viewing areas and dirty glass on exhibits (a couple examples) - but it was a fun outing to bring some normalcy. We look forward to visiting again when the weather cools down a bit!
Parking was easy, a lot of the animals were not on display, probably due to the feeding time. Great place to spend the day with the family, splash park was open, face painting, and merry-go-around as well. The only thing I have was the eating. The place we sat inside to eat was dirty, chairs, table, and floors were full of dirt. Just don't know when the last time they cleaned.
We love the zoo! Membership is totally worth it! We go about once a week. Carousel is now open! Splash pad always fun :)
The El Paso Zoo has made a lot of improvements since the last time I was there over10 years ago. Naturally because of COVID, the train and other activities were still limited. Looking forward to future exhibits in the future. One thing, there should be someone attending to outdoor tables to keep them clean.
Small and hot. They need to invest in some misters. The aminals were great enjoyed the time we were there other then it was to hot.

It's really boring ????. There's not really animals and when I go there never out its just the exhibit its empty. Animals are never active they look sad. The zoo needs a lot of emprovement !!! It's been 3 yrs I get the season pass and it's just been so sad in there and no fun. Hope they do something about it. When I was small there where more animals. Half the animals are missing SMH. ????
Hadn't been there since the remodeling. We were impressed! It was very nice. The kids really enjoyed seeing the animals and had fun at the water fountains.
Great little walk, weather was perfect and the animals were more active today. But some exhibits were closed from last time. Still had a good time and the chicken strips are huge!

They've added a LOT of things to see since they were closed due to COVID 19. Well worth the price. Take the kids and spend the day. Drink water!
Friendly staff and the price reasonable. The zoo isn't very large but exhibit are well place and cared for. It looks as if they or doing some expansion and adding. It's a nice and fun place to take the family or date. There are some shows to attend while there as well. Take a ride on the train and even get a splash . If not from the area Google will probably take you around back and you will be lost and confused. Stay on paisano
Beautiful place, pro-animal.
This is a pretty good zoo with a great layout. I highly recommend trying catch the giraffe feeding times. It can get hot here so consider water bottles, you can refill them at the drinking fountains.
Love seeing the animals, great family trip.
This is a very nice zoo. May be slightly on the smaller side, but, every square inch of this place is used to its fullest extent. There is a large selection of animals with huge variety. The lion exhibit was wonderful. I look forward to coming back in the future.

Went here for the first time. I would go again. It's a very big zoo. I only managed to get through 2/3 of the park. I loved the different options. The only thing that was sad is the fact that you had to pay for the merry go round and the train.
This place was a lot of fun, I hate that it was under construction! Great place to take the kids! There is a splash pad there!

The Zoo's layout is easy to navigate, it's not the biggest zoo but for the price it is well worth it. Several locations for refreshments and activities for children. Definitely enjoyed the variety of animals from the America's Asia and Africa. There is also an aviary with several bird species.

This was my second visit to the zoo in more than 10 years. This zoo has been growing a lot and you can see it from its exhibitions. Just make sure to plan ahead and bring something to cover yourself from the sun. Is a good exercise to go see the whole zoo. It is nice to see this zoo grow.
The zoo was busy today so didn't see many animals as usual but my kids had fun .
I took my toddler thinking that she would enjoyed it, turns out that the entire group of adults and toddler had a great time, we loved how well taken care of it is, there were a few exhibits that were closed but most were open.

My experience at the zoo was fine. We took my nephew out for this first time but many of the animals were either not in their habitats or just weren't there yet and coming soon signs were up. The people who worked there were kind and helpful but it was disappointing for so many animals to not be there and also having parts of the zoo closed that I used to love as a kid.
Some of the exhibits we're closed and what was open was hard to see the animals because they were all gathered far from view for feeding. Prices were exorbitant.
Omg were to start with this great experience. The zoo was very clean and the live animal experience was awesome my kids, wife, and I loved it. Their food courts were clean and the prices were fair. We aet the nacho supreme and they were hot the best nachos especially the. Chicken. They updated the park so much that my family and me were impressed, I cant wait for the penguin exhibit. And the new wolf area was so amazing we got to see the mom wolf feed her Cubs and the cubs were so adorable. The thing we loved the most was the big water rush by the jaguar area. We defenetly had a blast. The only thing that sucked was that the train was down bc my son loves trains but other then that it was epic.

The place is amazing, but they need more shading areas. Kids and elders can dehydrated easily with the high temperatures and humidity that we are experiencing. There is only 1 giraffe and charge $3 dollars to feed it with a leaf of lettuce. I think that it is too much, because the entrance fee is a little expensive.

I really enjoyed my visit to the El Paso Zoo. I visited with friends, and we had a lot of fun learning about some of the more unknown animals of the zoo. For example, I learned about the radiated tortoise, which is considered to be the most beatific tortoise in the world. I was amazed by the size of the tapirs, which I found to be bigger than many animals, even the lion. I even enjoyed spotting the many squirrels stores throughout the zoo. When I began my time at the zoo, I was afraid that, with the current health restrictions, the zoo would become mundane and lose most of its appeal. With the exception of a few attractions, I found my fears to be unfounded. All in all, I had a great time and took away a lot from the El Paso zoo.

All the animals were asleep or not for viewing and still construction going on. Funny thing happen got to see the Male orangutan go for the female and had his way while she held and played with her baby
They are doing many renovations (a big part of the zoo is closed) and some exhibitions were closed due to the cold weather...but after all it was a good experience, my kids had fun.
Great little zoo. We go every few weeks. Bathrooms are always clean. Thankful we can bring our own food and drinks. I appreciate the zoo opening back up, and trying to keep us safe with mask wearing. Sadly my boys were the only kids with masks at the splash pad.
Great evening supporting the El Paso Zoo for Dia de lost Muertos Gala. Meet some very nice fellow El Pasoens.
Had a blast at Boo at the Zoo. My son loved every minute of it. Great to see things going back to normal. ????????????????????????

The zoo has a couple of interesting animals. But there’s not many of them. People will say it’s because of covid. But back home the zoo I was going to aka the BRONX ZOO, NY had much more selection of animals that also were happier looking and active. The location is small. Luckily the price is very cheap if you’re active duty like myself. I went with my friend/co worker and her son. The only thing that made him really happy was a little park and the dippin dots station. We went to some parts of the zoo and it just felt like a rip off you couldn’t see anything through the glass because they were dirty. If you’re not picky and just want to see animals I guess this is an OKAY zoo.

This is a great weekend get away with the family. They have outdoor dining area of you want to have a little gather amongst friends. Great place for kids. Also they have tons of icy places to cool you down.
Always a great place to spend a few hours. The staff is helpful and the atmosphere is welcoming. Clean and well-kept, the new exhibits are a plus.
A lot of places in the zoo were temporary close but being born and raised in El Paso in my opinion it's very nice it's starting to look great!!! my grand children and I had a great time

Is a very good place to go with the family they have a splash area, playground for the kids. And is very relaxing.
Very nice zoo. Small, but it is set up very nice. Noticed a bunch of new exhibits being worked on, so am looking forward to seeing the improvements when they are done. Food concessions are a bit pricey, and L & J is just right around the corner....so, next time we will wait to eat.
Worst zoo I’ve even been to. The Enclosures were way too small for the animals. I felt really bad for the animals they barely had any place to move around. And the animals look sad and not very well maintained. Will not be going back to the zoo… not worth the $$ either. This place needs to be shut down…
Finally open!! They've made lots of great changes to exhibits. There are some areas you can't access because I believe it would be difficult to restrict crowding but nonetheless the zoo feels bigger and different.
Tiny zoo. We got a family pass and and go there for an hour every week or so. So glad they are open now. The Chihuahuan desert exhibit is very cool. Watch your kids at the playground; it gets very Lord of the Flies there very fast.
We saw 99% of the animals. Bring your own food and water!!! Our food at the cafe was good, but it took a long time to make and was way over priced.

There was a massive remodeling taking place, so that along with the winter weather had quite a few exhibits closed, but yet & still this was one of the best zoo experiences I can say my family and I have had! The animals were so interactive, it was almost as if we were the exhibits and they were checking us out! The Western Diamondback Rattlesnake came from the back of its enclosure to get face to face with us as well as most of the other animals. Excellent zoo, top notch!!
Always so enjoyable. Great weather and the animals were out and active.

My visit to the zoo was fun. However I feel like they should have more activities. Most if the animals were asleep. The play ground for kids and slapsh park were nice.overall a good experience.
In 2014 I would have given it 3 stars. It was bland, not too special or eye catching. Just a basic average zoo. Now, they are adding new equipment for the kids, new animals, new shows and buildings, the artwork is fantastic throughout, and it is really a pltgay I've seen grow into a beautiful zoo that is something to be proud of. Great fun
As my wheel chair bound child gets older, I realize how little places care about the disabled community. This place being one of them. New play structures are not wheelchair friendly or inclusive. Boo at the zoo did not help those in need of a wheelchair, starting with the parking. There was handicap parking but refused to allow anyone to park there. We had to carry an adult size child 5 ft to their wheelchair. I've always renewed my yearly membership but it's becoming harder and harder to want to renew when they refuse to make events accessible.
The El Paso zoo has really undergone an incredible transformation. Feels like an actual large city attraction. Great amenities, beautiful and clean grounds, and delicious food at the cafe.
Absolutely love the zoo, being a member is such a good deal. We look forward to our weekly trips! Wish it would open a little earlier in the summer because of the heat, but the El Paso weather is not the zoo's fault!

We spend around 5 hours there Wednesday. It was enjoyable. Although we didn't care for seal show. waited a long time for maybe 5 minutes of a presentation. overall we had a good time.
Great place to bring the grandkids when I came to town. We brought our own lunch so cost wasn't too high.
Very nice zoo. Some of the attractions were closed because of making it nicer for the animals. But that was okay.
My kids loved the zoo!! That's all that matters, my kids had so much fun.

The zoo is going under alot of construction and improvements, we didn't see alot of animals because of the weather but honestly thats great they care so much for the animals
The new Chihuahuan Desert area is a great addition and the Copper Canyon Ropes Course is great for kids of any size. Turning the splash pad into a snowy play area for Santa at the Zoo was a nice touch, all of the kids loved it.
My kid has a blast everytime we go. And the water pad area is just what the doctor ordered on those hot days.
Really nice place for the kids. The zoo is expanding and has some nice events on the holidays, giraffe feeding is awesome. There are a few suggestions I would make: clean/replace some of the glass dividers (specifically the sea lion glass is impossible to see through), a vendor or two on normal weekends might keep people at the zoo longer.
A lot of the animals looked an unhealthy amount overweight. A lot of renovation was going on and there were way less animals than usual. Lookibg forward to the zoo getting restored after covid ends

Great place to take the littles. They have an awesome playground to take the kids to when they get a little distracted from seeing the animal. My kids had an awesome time seeing the animals, playing and having some special treats. The layout uses the small square footage super effectively.
We had such a fun time at the El Paso Zoo. It was very calm and relaxing. We saw all of the animals. The zoo has restaurants and stores to buy drinks and food from but it is very expensive. I paid four bucks for a small water. The exhibits were nice and the staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
The zoo itself was clean & well kept. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The few animals they did have looked sad and dirty. Coming here is cool if you’re just looking to get out of the house with the kids but they’ll probably find the play area, ice cream, and popcorn the most exciting part of the trip. There’s a cute little zoo in Las Cruces that’s super cheap (like $3 for adults and kids are free). The animals there seem happy and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
Didn’t seem like a whole lot going on, all the shows happened before 1pm when we went, a few animals weren’t seen, but it was still a ok experience with the kids. The wolves and elephant were our favorites!
Zoo is really small but has some interesting animals. Some animals look depressed but I was able to see others who were happy. Very clean and has a lot of resting places.
20% of the exhibits were closed, but no discounts offered for all the closures. Eat before coming here, food and drink prices are outrageously overpriced.
Nice place too visit, lots of animals to see and things for kids to do. Carousel, splash pad, playground and more. The prices are soooo reasonable ????
Very small zoo. A lot of closed off exhibits.
Smaller than the other zoo's I've been to. Was also about half the price. Was very clean, had a nice layout and a nice variety of animals. The only exhibit I didn't like was the elephants. They were separated and didn't appear happy or very healthy.
Always a great time. Good family fun. We get the yearly pass every year and it's totally worth it!
Lots of fun with the family! The new Chihuahuan Desert exhibit is so awesome!! Favorite part was the flash flood experience! It startled me at first because I thought something was going wrong. But it was just a really great execution of just how severe flash floods can be.

We visited multiple zoo around the coutnry and still have lots more to visit. This zoo may look a little rough but we very much enjoyed our visit. I too use to work at a zoo for 6 years and know what to look for in a zoo. This zoo is one of our favorite for our 1.5 yr old. He loved going down the big slide with dad and went down the little one by himself. The water fountain for the kids was fun too and dad joined with our baby too. Got to see beautiful animals and we happen to visit while the cat adoption was going on so our little one got to visit the kittens too. We definitely will come back as we pass through El paso. We did ask an employee about a certain animal in the zoo, working at a little shop in the middle and he couldn't tell us exactly where to find it but other than that we had fun
Awesome place to visit with family or by yourself. Very educational even without talking with staff, you can read the signs and learn alot .
Some animals were noy out. But, I did visit fairly early to beat the sun rays.
To see that this zoo is rated above 1 star is actually really interesting. The only way you can say this is a great “zoo” is if you haven’t been to other zoos.

Coming from Atlanta, I am pretty biased when it comes to zoos. Elpaso stole my heart! It's so interactive. You feel as if you were in the pens with the animals. Love the layout! The staff was so friendly and even gave me a suggestion for lunch. Love love love

Great Zoo for smaller area!! Great adventure..
Don't get me wrong I love going to the Zoo! I'm a grown up woman but so often my husband likes to surprise me and take me too places, this time he picked the zoo hell yeah ¿RIGHT? Wrong!!! It was too crowded, like family time should be family time ¿RIGHT? Na all the ladies were dressed like they were going to the club and to top it off most of the attractions were closed and no social distance what's so ever!! So I'm kind of in a delema here! Because part of me recommends while the other part of me doesn't!! So I'll leave it up to you, and check it out for yourself!! ????♀️????♀️ hoped this review helps!!
Nice zoo for city's size. Wasnt too crowded today (Thursday, late May). Very reasonable price for admission with seasons passes available and discounts at other zoos.

The El Paso Zoo has grown so much! I love all the new exhibits. It's a very beautiful zoo, lots to do with the kiddos ????
Disappointed. Only seen a few animals. Where’s all the animals? Also waited 45 minutes for food because they said they forgot to put the order in , and then our food was wrong. $52. We will never go back Half of the zoo exhibits were closed.

We recently purchased the membership and the kids love being able to come whenever we want. finally went in to the water section and the kids loved bowling able to touch and play with different things, they even experienced a rainfall.
$6–10
it shouldn't even be called a zoo...Its hardly any animals there. Most of the animals there can be found in your backyard. What a total waste of money....Not to forget about the few rides that were shut down due to Coronavirus but the children's play gym slide or whatever it was was open....????????♀️.

We loved seeing the animals an enjoyed the food they had. The sun was strong that day but we were able to rest from it. There was squirrels running around, so cute.

Lived in El Paso for 10+ years and never went to the zoo, was an awesome environment for both adults and kids! The sea lion exhibit was the only down side. The water was a very foggy green and we were only able to make out the outline of the sea lion. Wish we could have seen the actual thing

Love going to the zoo on quite days Any day during the week while school is in.
It was a smaller zoo but had play areas for the kids to cool down, splash pad, tree house, can take your own sack lunch and cooler. I will be taking the kids agian and the staff were super friendly.

Love it! Only $40 for a family of 4. We took the train ride, the kids played in the little water park and we saw the birds show. Prepare to walked a lot. Parking is accessible and there's a cafe and a restaurant.
Amazing! Loved hearing the Mario 64 underwater theme in the sea lion area. The Orangutan feeding was cool. I'd consider going back when it's cooler outside. Maybe the renovation their doing will be finished.
Many exhibits closed, only the jaguars were up and close. We could not see the sea lions through the window because it was very dirty. I love El Paso but the zoo needs to step up their game.
We had a family trip to the zoo♡ We enjoyed it♡ Can't wait to go again

It was a beautiful place and well mantained. Unfortunately, the day we went was almost 100° so many of the animals were not out or hidding ( don't blame them)
The day we went only half of the animals were out. I have been to many zoos over the years, both here in the U.S. and in other countries and it was I we expected for a city this size. Not that the animals weren't maintained but unfortunately there is a lack of resources and income available to this zoo. The educational exhibits seemed outdated and were mostly pin up posters. I was unable to see through the glass viewing areas for the sea life due to residual water build up on both sides of viewing area. I will return when warmer and hopefully things are a little better. Glad that they have a military discount and the membership seems reasonable. Hopefully once Pandemic/Epidemic/Endemic is better controlled, weather warms up and influx of income and resources are available it will be better.

Great new updates to the zoo! I do miss the old stables, but they were replaced with wonderful new additions including a jaguar who has a large enclose with overhead bridges to roam, and a larger space for the wolf that she really seemed to enjoy running through. The flood simulation is great, and the parrots who live near it seem to love when the water starts going.
Amazing best place to visit I recommend the memberships if you plan going more than once a year. One time payment and free for the year. food is a little bit pricey but good. People Are Awesome there the employees and the volunteers.

Really awesome place was surprised in how big this place was and all the animals they had if you are in town as a tourist or just live in El Paso its totally worth it
This little zoo is clean and it has LOTS to see. The director has worked very hard to make sure all of the animals are well cared for and have well-maintained enclosures. The addition of the splash pad for the kiddos is awesome and the new Chihuahuan Desert exhibit is very interactive!
Hot but very fun...the kitty corner was a cute addition and my kids had fun jumping around the splash area. I liked watching the monkeys eat and play.

Went on a Saturday afternoon and there was a line to get in. Was pretty crowed but the animals were out and about especially the monkeys. They were putting on a show today ????????????. Enjoyed this zoo and me and my family will definitely visit again manly because we spent 4hrs there and didn't even explore the whole zoo...sheesh

In as much as it is a nice place to take kids, to me it's not really all that. There are only afew animals to see and it's crowded so go prepared to stand in line for a while If you're not a member.
My family has been to the Zoo many times over the years and we enjoy walking through the areas. This latest trip on a Wednesday, we felt underwhelmed and sad for some of the animals. Some need companions, several exhibits were empty or had really good hiders, even the aviary only had few birds. Was a bit disappointed in our recent trip.
I love the chihuahua desert part of zoo so awesome! I’m so impressed on how big the El Paso zoo has become. Before it would take an hour and thirty minutes to walk the whole park. It took us about 2hrs❤️

My family and I come to El Paso for the Holidays every year and today was our first time to El Paso Zoo. We were all impress. Well kept, clean and not crowded. zookeepers are very responsive, informative and kind. Must be the weather but all the animals were very active except the bear...lol
Really liked this zoo. Exhibits are really beautiful. In many of the exhibits they incorporate a waterfall which is a nice touch. I just wish they had a bigger gift shop. It's rather small and items are limited.

I love the zoo, but if you plan to have an event here such as a birthday party... DONT. We prepaid tickets for our guests, yet they wanted our guests to stand in an extremely long line. The line to purchase tickets. It was absolutely RIDICULOUS and they wanted to use up our timed reservation for our guests to stand in a very long long line. It wasn’t until a security guard came and made it right even though he was instructed by the event planner to make our guests wait. They wanted our money before hand and didn’t care if our event time was wasted by guests waiting in a long line. I’m so disappointed and confused how anyone at this place thought that was ok. terrible customer except for one security guard who had common sense.
Zoo members skip the line by entering through AZA door to scan membership. Lockers & strollers available to rent. Buy a ticket to ride the train at the gift shop. You can take your own food and enjoy a picnic with your family. Kids will love the tree house play area & splash pad area (during summertime). Check the online schedule for all the animal talks and shows. Asian section still under construction, but the amphitheater is open and very nice.

Always a fun time for everyone.
Decent to take the kids and walk for a bit. Doesnt seem like they clean some of the enclosures too good but for the kids it was ok. My 4yr old daughter enjoyed her time and even more so in the face painting section she loved it

My Son and I had a Great time at Boo at the Zoo event 2018
I liked it but not really. Because there wasn’t much animals. And I don’t know if it was disturbing for anybody else but there’s was an elephant in the pure heat no shade, no water, he had this little bit of water from some mud and he was just throwing it on himself trying to keep cool. Keep in mind there’s other exhibits that are empty and have water and shade, poor elephant):

Even though it isn't a big zoo with more animals but my kids loved it and they enjoyed everything that they saw and they loved the play ground that it has where they can enjoy after seeing the animals and where the parents can relax too. They even want to go back and enjoy everything again. Would definitely go back.
$6–10
A great little zoo! Shows could be a bit more but most all of the animals are showcased well & visible! Ate at the restaurant/cafe in the Asia section (near the Bangle tiger), meals were about $10 a person but they were good & filling. A great place to take the family for a good 3-6 hours.

Its a smaller zoo, but still enjoyable!

Animals are asleep and hiding away in cooler places in the middle of the day. Recommend going as early as possible. Otherwise fun place to go with the kids! Had some animals I hadn't seen in other zoos. Splash pad and playground available inside at no extra cost. Reasonably priced.
I love our zoo, the El Paso Zoo. I love to just go there to collect myself and relax. Everyone there are so helpful and friendly.
My 10 year old loves it and all the animals! The water park is great and staff are super friendly! I just wish the zoo was bigger!
So many animals were out and in the water tonight! Was really neat to see....
As a family we frequent the zoo almost monthly. This zoo is very well kept and the staff is friendly. I really enjoy the meet the trainer shows that they put on daily. There is a new exhibit that is being built and I am excited to see the new animals. The zoo isn't too big nor is it too small. It takes about 3 hours to walk through. They also have a splash pad open during the summer and a huge playground for kids. Definitely a place to visit if you are in town and want to enjoy yourself. It is close to the highway and about 3 minutes to I-10.
Come here every time I visit El Paso. This zoo is really fun. Brought kids now grand kids. I love it.
