The zoo in Alexandria is an interesting place to visit if you are fond of animals. A lot of options can be found here. You can just wander around and see animals in their cages. Yiu might also feed them if you wish to try this new experience. Furthermore, you sometimes are able to take photos with animals. Snakes, lions, monkeys are some of the animals that you can take a photo with. The place tries as much as possible to keep social distance and face mask in order to protect all the visitors. Prices are cheap. If you like swinging and sliding, there is a theme park within the zoo here in Alexandria, Egypt. You pay for each game separately; however, prices are reasonable. You can also buy toys from the small kiosks that are found in different spots. All in all, I like it this visit a lot because I could spend good time and I paid a total of one hundred pounds for the whole thing.

The zoo is good for children. My children had a lot of fun there. But for me it was less than expected. The plcae where lions are kept is very smelly. You find people eveey where calling you to come and take photos with animals and all of them are doing this to take money. I felt like I was in a local market surrounded with those people yelling at you to see their goods. The experince there was horrible. Unless my children had fun, I would felt like I wasted my time visiting it. Here are some of my children photos having fun.

Needs more caring in every aspect. Cleanliness, organisation, animals wellbeing and ofcourse keepers professionalism. Many animals are dead, but you can find a pony, some lions, monkeys, flamingos, swans, deer, bears, hippos . Tickets are cheap for only 5 pounds each. All in all it could be a good experience if you don't expect much.

It's a very bad zoo, animals are sick and dirty, there was a dead lizard in one of the cages, the smell is horrible and you have to tip many workers in there, only good thing is that kids enjoyed feeding the monkeys, otherwise it was a terrible experience, I'll never go back there again, NEVER

It's very well presented and you have the option of feeding and playing with most of them with a very cheap cost and there is a variety of activities that you can do.

Seems ok but animals are in a misery :-( kids enjoyed so much as we saw the lama, lions, camel, bears, monkeys, peacocks and goats. Giraffe, elephant and sea lion are not there anymore. Entrance was very cheap but throughout they offer u to feed the animals and if u do u need to pay between 1 to 3 pounds each. Also a photographer passes around to take ur pics and it is printed in the zoo for 20 EGP each. We went Friday morning so it was quite empty and nice but was getting so crowded when leaving!

The best way to enjoy it as a zoo is to have a David Attenborough style tour by yourself and just spend lots of time observing the animals and taking notes etc. Most local families enjoy it as a picnic spot and to give the children a nice cheap day out and the animals are incidental. They like to ride ponies and camels and feed all the animals but I don't know how well the keepers regulate their intake. If you go with children you will largely be occupied with supervising them so if you are interested in animals this is why I say go to observe by yourself and there are one or two rest places and s mosque for prayers.

This zoo have the chance to be the most famous one in the country. I suggest that some of the lions can be replaced by elephant and giraffe. Tickets for some days could be more expensive to afford the cost of it's cleaning.

The zoo in Alexandria is an interesting place to visit if you are fond of animals . A lot of options can be found here . You can just wander around and see animals in their cages . Yiu might also feed them if you wish to try this new experience . Furthermore , you sometimes are able to take photos with animals . Snakes , lions , monkeys are some of the animals that you can take a photo with . The place tries as much as possible to keep social distance and face mask in order to protect all the visitors . Prices are cheap . If you like swinging and sliding , there is a theme park within the zoo here in Alexandria , Egypt . You pay for each game separately ; however , prices are reasonable . You can also buy toys from the small kiosks that are found in different spots . All in all , I like it this visit a lot because I could spend good time and I paid a total of one hundred pounds for the whole thing .

It used to be better! Many animals have perished, however the facilities are on good condition. The animals on display include rain dears, European gazelles, camels, wild and domesticated goats, bears, grivets, monkeys, lions, a tiger, tortoises, turtles, Nile crocodiles, Egyptians cobras, pythons, parrots, falcons, hawks, llamas, a zebra, Arbian oryx, flamingos, pelicans, wild geese, ostriches, hippos, raccoons and hyenas. The Zoo used to host a collection of animals that had already perished including giraffes, elephants, polar bears, sea lions, foxes, wolves, chimpanzees, kangaroos, rhinos, mandrels and a condor. For 20.00 Egyptian pounds you can get a printed photo with a lion cub and for as low as one Egyptian pound you can feed animals. There is a mini mechanical park there for a separate fee for each ride. Entry fees are EGP 5.00 for Egyptians and 20.00 for Non-Egyptians; the fees apply to children 5 yrs and above.

The animals are handed over to visitor for some money which is too stupid. How can they even do it? Most of the zoo is without animals. It was ok. The zoo is small having only few kinds of animals with no girrafe or elephant. It has a theme park in it but also old. Cinsidering it was very cheap, only 5 pounds for entry and also ranging from 5 to 10 egp for each ride in the theme park it was matching these prices. So after all it was godd experience and for a little girl less than 5 years it was huge excitement and joy especially the lions and monkeys. No restaurants inside.

It's a nice place for the kids with a bit of greenery and a good collection of animals. The ticket is only 5 egp. But inside if you want the kids to feed the animals or to take good photos with them you'll have to tip the guards every time around 5 egp. They have a small amusement park with extra charges for the kids also.

I visited Alexandria Zoo 8 years ago, it was very dirty, very neglected, and nobody care about it, people and childrens cheated with animals and kicked them by sticks and stones. But now I think it's more organized, more clean and gets better.

Good for kids. Horrible for animals. Be prepared, you will be shoked how animals are mostreated in this zoo. Kids will like it in any case, so might be a good opportunity to spend there 2 hours or so. No places to eat. Entrance 20 LE per foreigner (kids fo free).
