Got an alpaca plush, its the best purchase I've ever made. Would highly recommend the farm they have something for everyone

Very cute alpacas. very special experience to feed them. The tour was great! However, not sure why no one answer the phone. My friend and I tried to call and make sure they are open before we came but it always went to voicemail. We tried to call for at least 5 times (different days)... Also, one of the staff in the gift shop has terrible attitude. But everything else are good. I would say if you do not care about customer service, it is still a good experience to visit the farm. :)

Taya Morris

Wonderful butcher selections. Beautiful clothes. Fun to watch the alpacas!

emailing Dee to book a tour is a headache--much easier and probably more enjoyable to just skip the tour and walk around yourself

Worth the 1.5 hours drive from Vancouver! The event of shearing was pretty cool, spring sales was okay. We really love how the farm is so well organized and cleaned! there are sufficient space for all alpacas and chickens to live and play around. I would definitely say this is a kid and couple friendly place to visit KP farm does carry some good product, but it’s generally quite expensive for none branded product. a two sided cost was almost $600 after tax~

Emailed about a tour as their website stated they offered tours. Never got a reply back. So I can only assume they were done during high season. Nonetheless, lots of cute alpacas to see up close an personal but they were gated off. But the Alpacas came over to say hi. There is a nice gift shop too.

Alpacas are interesting animals and have nice wool. They sell alpaca meats as well as the made products from fur.

Alpacas are so cute! You are able to see a bunch of animals here (chicken, cows and alpacas). I was kind of disappointed that we were unable to touch the alpacas unless we had booked for the alpaca walk.

The alpacas did not respond to long philosophical conversations but they were very cute and lovely.

I love llamas and this was a perfect outing at the farm. Covid protocols were followed and their boutique is just beautiful to buy gifts from.

Capri Kruska

My favorite farm, not only is it an amazing family run business.. their service, how they treat their animals, is above and beyond. Will constantly recommend to everyone!

Kensington Prairie Farm raises Huacaya Alpaca and Polled Hereford Cattle, produces quality hay/silage for the local market and offers contract equipment services to local farmers. Visitors are encouraged to tour the farm, visit the alpacas and shop at the retail store. The store features a broad array of specialized locally produced and imported alpaca fibre products, including roving, yarn, quilt batting, hand-knitted items, socks, hats, mitts, gloves, scarves, apparel, throws/blankets (including our luxurious ‘Signature’ collection), duvets, pillows and mattress pads. The farm also features alpaca meat products, artisanal honey and hormone-free, naturally raised beef

Went on Saturday. Alpacas were super friendly and came to see us. I wish there was some sort of walk around the farm not just 3 spots near the parking lot. Other than that the farm is well maintained.

Brian Willis

The Al Paces were lovely and when we went to the shop afterwards the wool produced was so much softer than sheep wool it was easy to understand why it so popular now. Good place to learn more about these friendly animals

A fun place to visit with children!

Farm is extremely well maintained the place is gorgeous so much potential but don’t expect to see the alpacas during the weekend. They won’t come near you and you can’t go in the field to pet them at all. False advertisement overall at daily hive , Maplewood farm is better to interact and see the animals. This farm is more about selling the merch and meat unless you take time out off work during Monday’s and Wednesday’s. Book in advance to avoid disappointment.

The place could be great, but booking system through email with Dee has been soooo frustrating and disappointing. Delayed to go for months and again... ———- reply to your reply below—- You keep blaming on me saying I didn’t answer back after, but I REPLIED on the same day on Oct 29th with number of 2 adults as I already mentioned on the email with screenshot. I only emailed one day before the tour I thought I booked again to make sure it is booked so I could pay since I haven’t gotten a confirmation email for the booking.

Who doesn’t love seeing alpacas! Admission is a little confusing: as soon as you park the car, you get so excited to see the alpacas greeting you, and then you get reminded to go inside to pay. Brb! Lots of knitwear in the gift shop. It would be much nicer, however if the $5 admission can go towards purchases.

Many cute alpacas as well as chickens located at this farm. The gift shop sold high quality products made from alpaca wool. Would definitely come back again.

Such a wonderful place! We visited Kensington Farm through the Alpaca Experience. My baby loved it and so did we!

Very unique farm that you get to interact with alpacas and llmas. Especially nice during COVID times to get out and spend some time with animals. They donate the admission fee to charity or it can go towards a purchase at the farm, which was really nice. Definitely enjoyed my time there.

???????????????????????????? - they have the cutest huacaya (teddy bear-like) and suri (dreadlock-like) alpacas! We got to meet Adelita and Canela in person, Canela is due this year and can you believe they can stay pregnant up to 12 months?!? ???? Adelita is one of the alphas and we could def see her strong attitude ???? ???????????????????????????? - although they aren’t a rescue farm, they can never say no to rescues in need, giving them a second chance at a happy life! Last year they rescued Daisy the llama who was in desperate need of surgery. ???? she is all better now tho ???????????????????????????????????? - proceeds from admission, tours, and walks go to a great cause: either the Quechua benefit (for the poorest alpaca breeders in Peru), Perus’ children charity, or towards their own rescues! Customers also have the option to use their admission fee towards a purchase at the store. A shearing event is coming up in April, make sure to book fast to see these cuties!

Unique Quality Clothes & Gorgeous Accessories ????

Every time I visit the farm I have a hard time leaving, there’s no better way to spend a Saturday than walking around visiting all the animals, snacking on some of the jerky from the store. Don’t forget to stock up on unbelievable meats and eggs on your way out, my favourite is the stewing meat, best out there.

Amy W

My happy place. It makes my heart so full learning about the alpacas. The guided tours are the way to go. The tour guide was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about alpacas and llamas. You could tell they love the animals and take great care of them. The gift shop has so many awesome products for great prices. This will be a place I keep wanting to return to. Keep up the great work!

Shecky

You cant see the alpacas on the weekend. they knew damn well that people would go there to see them. Instead we go there to buy some t shirts and alpaca meat. Thats like going to the cat sanctuary in richmond, and you arent able to see the cats, instead they try to sell you a cat burger.

lovely farm to visit. spotted lots of young families and couples. there is no food serviced at the location (they dont sell any coffee or water etc. You can buy fresh eggs, some home grown beef, other gift products. Washroom was available but i didnt use it. Not allowed to feed them. Adult admission is $5 per person. kids under 5 are free. If you buy something from the store you get some discount on your tickets (cant remember how much you need to spend though).

Loved our visit today, both seeing the animals (alpacas, llamas, ducks, turkeys, quails, and pigs), learning their story, and visiting the store that featured plenty of fine alpaca products.

everything is good except one of the staff has very BAD attitude!!! I asked the staff the products that they sell in the store, but she told me to wait for a second because she is at the cashier doing something else which is fine. I was standing next to her (with social distancing 2meters) for over 3 minutes and she walked away.......! When I tried to talk to her again, she has a very bad attitude, she does not let me finish talking and keep interrupting me. I have no idea what kind of customer service is it. I then went to another staff and get her to introduce me the products. The other staff was much better. Everything is good except this specific lady at the store!!!!!! I would've rate 5 stars if that specific lady is not there serving customers.

Incredibly diverse agricultural enterprise with thoughtful and knowledgeable staff; offering an extraordinary boutique shop and private alpaca tours. Could not have asked for a better experience visiting a local farm. Dee and staff are one-of-a-kind!

Manda S

I’ve visited the farm twice (once in 2019 and just recently in March 2021 during COVID). We did the self guided tour - one of the staff members took us to the moms and babies and gave a brief overview about alpacas. Always a great time!

Called to ask if they were open. The lady on the phone said yes. I asked again to confirm they are open. Drove 1 hour down to find out they are closed and now the phones go straight to voicemail.

Cool place. Make sure u come just before one of the show and tell times. The have alpaca meat in steak and sausage varieties with different flavors and also scarves, slippers jerseys yarn for sale. Not the biggest day out youll ever have but it will kill an hour or so.

My family came here on a weekday for a private alpaca walk so we were the only ones on the farm (they are closed on weekdays). The alpacas and llamas are gorgeous and well kept, the farm is beautifully maintained. My toddler absolutely loved walking, petting and feeding the gentle alpacas. We also got to see some chickens, baby chicks, pot bellied pigs, ducks and even a week-old baby alpaca. The experience is perfect for children, and for adults too - our guide answered all our questions about alpacas and the other farm animals. Thank you! We gained more appreciation for these animals after walking with them. The store is stocked with a variety of beautiful items, many made with alpaca fur. We went home with a bag full of goodies. If you come here with kids, don't forget to ask for your free stickers inside the store! Highly, highly recommend families to visit and prebook a walk if you can.

Lately the lineup has been longer than usual but the staff is always so pleasant and happy. I love getting tours from Dee the manager because she goes the extra mile and always makes us feel special for visiting. She let my son play with roger the chicken and it was a highlight. Thanks Dee!
