You have the information of real people who are purchasing the services and products of Costco Wholesale (Zoo) in the area of Vancouver (Canada).
Currently the firm receives a rating of 4.3 stars out of 5 and that rating is based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average of ratings that it reaches is really good, and it's based on a very large number of scores, so we may conclude that the valuation is very faithful. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to place reviews when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Zoo is classified in the category of Warehouse store.
I love this place! The staff are friendly and fast, the size is not overwhelming because it's downtown and parking is a breeze. So cool to have a Costco - with tire service - in the city is wonderful and their return policy gives me peace of mind when buying electronics.
Unnecessarily pedantic administration to obtain Costco membership. Rude front desk staff. Almost attempted to deny my membership because I was on a temporary spouse permit. It’s just Costco, I’m not going to work there or live there. Get a grip. Once I got in, multiple purchases of different Kirkland products were of poor quality. T&T just next door offers competitive pricing and much higher quality.
GPS does not direct you to parking. Store is on a one-way street. Very awkward having to figure out correct approach to find parking entrance. Pallets of produce down pet food aisle. Very congested during Covid guidelines! Store did not carry Kirkland Nature's Domaine cat food. Very frustrating Costco visit!
A very great place to do your shopping. They have plenty of groceries, even ethnic and health foods like kimchi, kombucha, and milk kefir. The only downside is that you have to be a member to shop there. But it is easy enough by buying a yearly Costco membership.
Great Costco location! Not as many items as a regular (on a large lot) location, but delivers all the basic staples you need. Great quality products - from groceries to many other items. Some pricing deals are simply amazing - you just have to keep your eye out for them!
Small store; therefore, less products. Customers dump shopping cars wherever they feel like. Got another dent in my Benz today. Not cool. The 'I don't care mentality' spreads among all age groups these days.
Always love going to this Costco. Today though we asked for help from a worker and he didn’t even stop to help us. But another gentlemen ended up helping us find what we needed. This store has always been one of my favourite stores. Always have the best deals.
It's costco, when it's not busy it's great !
Always go in after eating, too easy to buy what you really need that way.
Cashiers are always extremely friendly to me and my kids.
Always good to shop at Costco both online and in person. however our bills have been increasing due to inflation and shrunk-flation One of the last stores that still provides some value and quality
When I want mustard, I need it fast and in large quantities. Costco has never let me down.
One of the smaller-sized Costco's but you can find almost all goods you require.
Nice location and lots of parking spots. Staff is friendly. The phone reception is poor inside though.
The Costco lifestyle is one of the few redeeming parts of late stage capitalism, lol. And this Costco existing in a condo bunker is still magical to me, even after a decade.
Not a bad Costco, but here's what I would recommend. Since COVID-19 hasn't left, management should be RESPONSIBLE for putting a MAXIMUM number of shoppers (200 MAX for 2 hours at least for example). There is little to no physical distancing in this location. Trust me, it'll work. In the meantime, I rather do my deliveries online and stay healthy and not expose myself to the virus.
2 stars for just being part of the Costco company. I can't believe this location charges for parking. Machines don't take change. Credit card only. In the store was totally chaotic and unorganized. I couldn't find any help. Just the 2 staff I asked (sample ladies) they didn't know anything. Within 15 mins I left and drove to the Burnaby location.
Second year Costco member here! 31Jan 2020 went there and realized lots and lots of new things were added to shelves. Lots of new items on the clothing section and I was one of the first ones having a look (did fold them again!) . Three different models of sofa.
Get the Membership, for $60 it is worth it. I love Costco. You can't beat the prices. Bought a $10,000 jacuzzi for $5,000, it was time new model that was at the home show. You never know what you find. Any Costco is great. Thank you Costco
I heard a lot about Costco being the best and cheapest place to do grocery shopping but I was disappointed. It's so busy and you can't even move through the crowd. You can't even stop for a while to decide about what you want to buy without someone yelling at you in the back. It might be a good place for electronics but definitely not for grocery.
Busy place. . Know your prices, lots of good deals. .
Dislike having to pay for parking, but I enjoy the staff at this location and the slightly smaller scale of the warehouse.
It's Costco - they're all pretty much the same - AMAZING! Special hat tip to pharmacy with rock bottom prices for dispensing fees. Never leave without buying a roast chicken for 7.99!????????
Can’t beat the $1.50 hot dog and refillable pop in the food court. If only they sold Coke and not Pepsi, sigh. How bout those pumpkin pies for $5.99
The staff are smiley and very quick as well. Whenever I need help with finding a product, the staff always go above and beyond. If you have room in your freezer, buy a box of the unbaked cookies or any of the unbaked goods that are available. You can have freshly baked cookies any time with the frozen ones on hand. ????
Not everything is a must have or a bargain at Costco but you will definitely taste the difference of their produce and vegetables comparing to all supermarkets out here in Vancouver.
Great place to buy food and clothes for a great price. In my experience, fruit and vegetables could have very good prices compared with other supermarkets.if you want to buy organic this is a good place to do it, for less money. Also everything is in bulk so it is cheaper, you just have to considera space for everything at home. Also shoes, dog food, kitchen and home appliances, computers, vitamins, shampoo, deodorant, tooth paste, tooth brush and much more. Definitely my favorite place to shop groceries and much more
The membeship is not really worthed, because not all the price is better than other store. Though some of their items like fresh mushroom are at good prices. Many of other items are only available with Costco inhouse brand.
Great place to stop by on less price than other stores. Definitely good service every-time.
This Costco always seems to be very, very busy. They seem to get people in and out pretty smoothly though. Convenient location for those of us that live close to downtown, but construction on the local roads in the summer and fall can make it a bit time consuming just getting to and from
It's a Costco, you know what to expect. Pick your time wisely and it can be a painless experience. Choose poorly and you might need to walk a bit after parking and wait a bit getting through the cash. I was here for my COVID vaccine, though, which was super quick and super easy. 5/5, would vaccinate again.
They have sale every week . They have a good quality clothes for me and my kids. They have halal meat
No more line ups for toilet paper , and the sample giveaways are gone. They still have those feel good take out hot dogs .????
Groupon promo that's definitely worth it. Plus you can't beat the hotdogs, poutine, chicken fingers, etc. Cashless purchase now for the hot food. Underground parking at a reasonable $2/hr. Health and safety protocols in place. Might even buy my tires here. Happy 2020 Thanksgiving everyone. Stay safe!
Great downtown location with everything you need. Better than ever now that they have express self checkout lanes for those of us with fewer items.
I LOVE that mask wearing is mandatory here. There is someone handing out masks if shoppers do not have one. The store is clean, but it is busy. Shoppers need to be aware of their responsibility for physical distancing in the case where it is busy with people.
Easter holiday rush. Staff was helping to move it fast. High volume items are missing. Felt let down by Costco as it is close on Sunday.
Good prices for most items. But be aware that not everything is cheap. Enjoy shopping here for staples (non perishables). Not a great fan of US veggies and fruit. But some of the veggies and fruit is still fine. I like shopping for that locally and in much more manageable quantities.
Always love coming to this costco.
They hire the most cheerful, loyal employees. Where do they find these people? They seem so proud to work there. I've heard that Costco treats its employees well, and from their demeanour, it seems true. For this reason, I don't view Costco as a faceless "big-box" store. If customers get great value and the employees are happy, then I feel good about shopping there. I also like the minimalist nature of the place. No-frills warehouse saves money on operations, bulk packaging reduces waste. Everyone uses their own bags or recycled store boxes. It's relatively eco-friendly when you think about it. The products are high quality and Costco upholds its guarantees. Love the healthy snacks and specialty brands that you can't find elsewhere.
This Costco has been a consistently good experience overall. Even on the busy Saturday’s when the lineups appear to be very long, their added checkout express lines help a lot to reduce the wait. I’ll be back!
Two of my favourite things about shopping at Costco: 1, saving on groceries by buying in bulk; and 2, splurging on a hot dog and poutine as a reward on the way out.
I really do like Costco. Not everything is cheaper at Costco, but there are savings. Only negative point is how busy it can get. The line up to pay was single file, starting at the back of Costco by the milk coolers. It's not like this every time, so I recommend avoiding peak times if possible.
Chaotic with many rude people. The prices are good with a lot of deals. I wish the isles were marked with what is in them from above.
When I can find what I'm looking for the staff is very helpful
Nice place, I found everything I needed Totally recommend
Found the same-like items to be scattered throughout the store instead of being beside one another. Had a hard time finding regular marble cheese and when it was located, not much of a selection. Prices were fair, average I would say for the current cost of living. Employees were nice and helpful, will continue to shop here.
Love this Costco for many reasons! Great staff! Underground parking offers plenty of space and if it is raining, you and your goods stay dry. I normally shop at another one closer to my home but do prefer to go to this one and even though you have to pay for parking, it's only $2 for 2 hours. They have security patrol which is terrific in case you need to pop up for some refreshments at the food court.
You can find almost everything here. Their prices are accesible. I totally recommend it for vast groceries. They don’t accept Visa card payment’s though, which is not convenient sometimes.
The membership is worth it. Their selection of food and clothing products is very good
It's Costco. They have a good selection of everything for this location. I bought tires here 5 years ago and they still rotate them for free (by appointment) and I am still allowed to get my tires fill by just driving up to the garage. I bought a 65" Samsung TV for the best price available online or in person. The pharmacy here is reasonably fast at filling prescriptions. So why 4 stars? This is the only Costco where you have to pay $2 to park and you don't get a reimbursement. For Vancouverites we've grown to tolerate it instead of wasting fuel to drive out to the suburbs. I still like Costco Langley's gas bar for the seldom visits that I make.
I love Costco's no hassle return policy. I recently purchased a Acer Chrome book and it died, 4 hours after purchase. No problem, called Costco tech service and they exchanged it....no questions asked.
Most everyone loves Costco except the risk of overbuying on things you don't need or spending too much. Most things are bulk but there are some things that doesn't require large quantity purchases. I like buying their berries, contact lens solution, eggs, books and feminine pads as it is cheaper than buying from regular stores.
Well, I like Costco in general and this branch is no exception. My issue with this specific store is mostly with their customer service staff. I never had the feeling that I'm a "valued" costumer in this store, and although the General Costco Policies are there to protect me as a customer, I never treated the way I expected, even when I was renewing my membership!!! I was always thinking that this is common between all Costcos, until I changed my go-to store!
Wicked food court. Absolutely love the prices there. Pop and a jumbo hot dog for $2. Like HELLO, it's a definite no brainer.
Went here to get my new tires put on my vehicle. First time going to this location and had a pleasant experience. There is customer parking and the service was completed in a timely manner. Food court is open too and who doesn't like a $1.50 hotdog and drink.
I hate shopping at cost. very bad customer service
It's Costco, so great as long as you don't mind everything in huge quantity!..
Bulk! Great prices and no frills, just the way you want it.
I find it surprising how friendly and helpful the staff is at this location. Convenient, decent selection, nice pricing.
Not crowded most of the times, neat and well organized compared to other branches.
I love Costco. Not only for their unique return policy but also their commitment to work with non profits NGOs like quest to help those who are less fortunate. You also have the best practice when it comes to hand and buggy sanitation with physical distancing measures in place. A health worker family such as mine appreciates what you have done to aid front line workers. I do however feel that staff should wear masks. I see some have them and some do not. To me your employees are just as important as health care workers since you are an essential service. Thanks again for all you do. Costco is the best!
Since this locstion is downtown Vancouver expect it too be busy. This location has everything though. The food court is outside snd is fast and pretty convenient if your lookinv for food to go either after shopping or just a quick stop.
It’s hard to review, Costco’s are always kind of hectic. But really, the staff at this location are all always consistently unhelpful and impatient. I get that it’s busy, but it’s always very unpleasant speaking with anyone working here..
I like the location, easy to grab a quick item if you forget. Parking is reasonable if you drive but avoid weekends as they get busy. Also great for a cheap lunch or snack $1.50 hotdog and drink. This location also has a nice selection of seasonal product.
You have to pay $2 for the parking. The good in this store are priced a little bit higher than the other Cotsco warehouses, probably because they pay have to pay Vancouver Downtown rent here. It's convenient to have Costco nearby, but not having a free parking is not Costcoish.
It is great store to buy some items such as kitchen towels, dressings, books, organic chicken , fish & meat !
Very busy but it was great service, the best they could. The fries and hotdogs are great aswell and they have some awesome deals.
Costco is a place all in it's Owen category . But man is it even in question about it .
Shopping at (any) Costco can be a daunting experience, however this location has ample (pay) parking. It's fully stocked, super clean and the staff always friendly. It's an easy access by car or by train. Line ups are long during the rush but the wait is short. The cashiers are like super traffic controllers so you are in and out in no time.
The grocery, jewelry and some home appliance is good to buy, but not the clothes. The communication of the staff in customer service is professional.
Unfriendly staff, swearing when working with customers shopping, employees making up store policy upon entry. Will not shop here avoid location
Costco has always had good customer service. I received in several towns and cities and generally received great customer service. Not from this particular location. I don't why but the staff is miserable doing the admin piece of online returns. I have returned items three times in my life here. Twice my returns have been messed up. A couple people going back and forth have marked the wrong item and refunded me money for a different item etc. Sprinkle in the general attitude of 'argh I have to do this again' from the same staff is off putting to say the least.
Didn't go grocery shopping but they have great pizza ???? It costs $11 for two slices on my block, but for $13 you get a whole pizza at Costco.
Perfect shopping experience, pricing, quality and variety
Costco does a great job of limiting amount of people allowed into their stores and they also have hand sanitizers throughout the store. That's good.
The best deal for anything you need at home. Love the collection and love the price. I enjoy every trip to Costco.
Best price on glasses. 2 pair, 2 different prescriptions for $350 with all the options. We went at Opening and were the only ones in the optical department. They ensured we could try these on safely as there was no one else there yet. Masks required at all times when not trying on glasses. We felt safe.
Very convenient from the Executive Heritage Park Hotel. Caught the bus on pacific. There and back under an hour! As always, great selection and prices!
Costco staff are handing out toilet paper and paper towels like you are in a food stamp dispensary. Big line but lots of friendly staff.
Staff are friendly and do a great job with being right in the middle of the city. We go so often living across the street some employees even recognize us. Used to hate going to Costco.
I am writing to commend the outstanding customer service and client care at the downtown Vancouver Costco store. On August 4, 2021, I started calling about the availability of the Danby AC. Whenever I called the warehouse administration to check on the ETA of the Danby air conditioners, there was always a Costco employee available to provide me with up-to-date information. I was one of many seniors anxiously awaiting the air conditioners to arrive in time for the next forecasted heatwave. When they eventually arrived on August 12th, I was correctly advised to arrive early in order to not be disappointed. I was also informed that as I was a senior I would be allowed in at 8:00 am and that there would be a number system. The process was highly organized and went very smoothly and efficiently. After purchasing the Danby AC, I asked Customer Service for assistance to bring the large packing box to my car as I have mobility issues. A Costco employee was immediately dispatched to help me. Kudos to the entire team at the downtown Costco store! Your Customer Service and Client Care is clearly a top priority! Appreciately, Bonnie Dakin
The staff in this Costco were impeccable. Three different staff members went out of their way to help me find something and everyone was extremely friendly in the process. 10/10 and I will of course be back!
It's a great place to shop. They have everything you'll ever need. However, access into the warehouse is only granted to people with the Costco membership card but this does not apply to the food court.
The manager and cashier are liars. We've been going here for years, we went in and asked for our order on two separate bills, which is something we have done from time to time. The cashier said no. We asked again, the bag person said just split their bill. (This is how we handle our expenses and sometimes when we need one for our tax books vs personal we have them on two seperate bills) cashier said it's not something they do. I said all the other cashiers have no issue. I asked the the manager they both stood there lying saying they have "never" done that. Yes. You. Have. What are we paying membership for if you don't? Walmart sowa it, Safeway does it, the ice cream shop, sirens, McDonald's, best buy, so what exactly doesn't Costco?? Manager sat there lying trying to act like they werent wrong. Went back weeks later and guess what. We got two separate bills. We're considering not renewing membership due to thia dishonesty. I even asked if this was a new rule and they were all it's never happened. No you can't tell me it's never happened when we've had it done and so have others we know. ???? Please train your managers better.
Parking, can be kind of a challenge here, but if you're lucky you may be able to snag a spot out front. It's a decent size Costco, and located right downtown. Line ups are long.
Usually pretty well stocked & good fresh produce however sometimes they are out of things entirely like eggs, epsom salts or soup bouillon. Pharmacy takes a while and sometimes refills without request. Also must pay for parking since downtown but it's only $2. Hard to get someone friendly to help you find things. If you need to buy anything in bulk this is your best bet. Good meat, organic options, frozen fruits & gluten free options. Also good return policy and quality goods like clothing, electronics, furniture etc.
Costco Richmond is always a great place to shop
Still a fan of what this company gives access to. My needs have changed through the decades and they have also. Even though they have loads of customers every day, they are on top of the staffing to keep a reasonable throughput of customers. The grocery stores should study the till system and copy. Perhaps it is the $8 wage difference?
It's quite convenient and close the to the train. Costco is great overall.
I always go there with my friend who is member and I like it there but one day I was early and they didn't let me use washrooms because I didn't have a membership card!!!
Loving the Express lanes! Have been asking for these for YEARS!! As a business person who often needs to pop in quickly for office supplies, this is MUCH appreciated! Thank you Costco!????
Came here with a serious schedule and plan in mind. People might come in to browse but that wasn't us. We had 20 minutes to get in and get out, buying specific items, and on a very strict budget. Normally when you think CostCo it's insanity... But we were able to get in and out in our allotted time, getting what we needed and under budget! A great experience!
This Costco is like pretty much every other Costco you would find in the world. One cool feature is that the snack bar faces onto the street so even if you don’t have a membership you can still enjoy the cheap eats and sit at the outdoor patio. Because Vancouver is warm pretty much all year round we are lucky that we have this option. There is paid parking underneath the Costco, and here’s a tip, use the parking app on your phone and avoid the long lineups that are potentially there for parking. This Costco has now finally added some self checkout stations which is handy. This Costco is generally busy most of the time but better off mid week afternoon I find is when you’ll find the smallest crowds.
Absolutely the best place to shop. Unfortunately this location doesn't have free parking, but at least its ample parking right beneath the store. Its Vancouver downtown, what can we do. This location tends to have more interesting stuff than other costcos around lowermainland. Nonetheless costco is costco. The best.
Compared to the Costco in US, the selection is limited. No grass fed red meats are available
Pretty standard for Costco with a good selection of things and the check out lines move quickly. Don’t forget to pay for parking!
Lots of good stuff as you would expect from Costco! I enjoyed the fact that there's a lot less people out shopping with COVID-19 around. This location didn't have a crazy lineup either so getting in, as well as checking out, was quick!
Enjoyed the visit to Costco today very friendly greeting when arriving there. And lots of Christmas ideas and sales in the middle of the store! Thanks & happy holidays Costco ;) ;] ;} PS: Gotta See: The Mongoose Electric Bike(s) ???? : The Jetson Electric Bike
Thank you Costco workers for the amazing work staying open, keeping shoppers safe, and keeping staff safe. I was impressed with the operation when visiting. Yes, there are lines, but they are necessary to keeping everyone safe while inside. Well done and thanks again!
This downtown one is Ok. Poor selection then in more rural Costco. Also it is laid out a bit different then most Costcos. An example the dairy was tucked away in a far corner.
It's a little smaller then your average Costco, but good sales ????
It’s a Costco like any other Costco, so I’m sure there isn’t much to add in a review. What I will say is that, if you are a downtown Vancouverite who isn’t taking advantage of this location, you’re really missing out. You can find many of the same brands and products that you’d get at IGA, Nester’s, BestBuy, etc. for a fraction of the cost. Bring your car, Evo, oversized backpack, or whatever you have, and stop paying inflated prices for produce, bread, dairy, eggs, electronics… you know - everything.
Well of course the number one thing about this place is the french fries and hot dogs that you can't beat it's also nice to be able to go in and do shopping and look around the store and see what new things are in the store and it's well worth the membership
First time being in this Costco and I did not like the set up. So small and very crowded especially during these times. Lots of people not social distancing and workers didn't know where things were when I asked plus very rude as well. The guy who was directing the line up was jus yelling at people where to go and then getting mad that people were not lining up proper. Bad experience and never going back
Good shopping experience. Except their cafe items. Hot dogs full of pork fat. Well I guess that's what a wiener is..
Awesome cheese selection at this downtown Costto
Costco for best quality and superb customer service with most competitive pricing no matter which location you visit, you will be always satisfied.
Great location for those living downtown. It can get super busy at times though. And being right beside Rogers Arena, the hot dog stand is jam packed on Canucks game night!!
It’s Costco. Not exactly a wonderful experience. More of a necessary evil. Functional at best.
So this is probably not the place for this but I wanted to share an usual online shopping experience. I will start with saying that I love Costco. The food is high quality, great prices and the lines move fast when they have them. Even the people shopping there are ready to help give advice on what to buy. My friend and I always say "Costco people are good people." That said, I recently purchased an AirFryer online. It is amazing. Definitely recommend it - the Gourmia one, only $70 and also dehydrates. It came on time and all was good. Then another one appeared. I had only paid for one and since I really think Costco People are Good People, I decided to inform them of the error. I think part of me expected them to throw me a parade for my honesty or maybe even let me keep it. Instead I received an email with details on how to print the UPS return label. No thank you for your honestly or we truly apologize for the inconvenience and will do everything we can so that this does not fall on you. Just an email with instructions. I explained that I do not have a printer. They said they could arrange pick up but there is no call prior and it will happen in 4 to 10 business days and if unsuccessful they will attempt twice more. Now I work from home but without knowing when someone is coming, I just feel like this is sort of a useless option. I live in an apartment, my buzzer doesn't work and my phone is usually on silent. So I am unsure how this will go. The other option was to haul it back in store and wait in line at the customer service desk. It just feels like none of the options are all that easy for me. Surely there should be an easier way when this happens? I mean can I at least get a mini parade?
I like that the price is the same no matter if you are in Vancouver or Toronto. My favorite is their fresh bakery, deli meat and cheese.
First time going to an underground Costco so you can appreciate the fact that we had to go on a Costco scavenger hunt as we’re not from Vancouver. This location was busy, well laid out, clean and the staff were very courteous. I was able to get my products in a timely manner.
Costco makes it nearly impossible to cancel your membership. Their website is vague, jot addesssing cancelling at all. When you got ot the Contact Us page, they bury their membership-line phone number amidst several other department phone numbers. Once you call, the options make no mention of cancelling. If they kept it simple I'd be willing to sign up again int be future when I want to shop at Costco again. But this scheme just turns me, and likely other potential repeat-customers, away.
Bonafide heroes working here in the pharmacy particularly. Not only was I able to book my flu shot appointment online and the day before I had it, the process was incredibly painless. The pharmacist was really kind and all told it was about 15 minutes to get the shot and wait to make certain there were no side effects. I would encourage anyone looking for a flu shot this year to try this location, you will not be let down. 10 stars!!
This is one of my favorite places to get groceries from. Everything here is very affordable. You can only make bulk purchases here. Be it kitchen ware or clothing, you'll find it here. They also carry electronics. You can get your photos printed here as well. The employees are always courteous. You don't have to wait too long while checking out. The washroom here is clean and hygenic.
Busy as always! They are doing a great job down there with all the covid19 policies and I really appreciate that! My question to you is, how many hot dogs can you cram down? I get 2 minimum before I enter the store, still manage a 200$ minimum cart! If youre reading this and you're a regular, be kind to people, I have noticed on more than one occasion people being so unnecessary to others here. Like Arnold said, I'll be back!
There is a great shopping experience here and the items are not overpriced. The food court/restaurant has amazing prices! The food there is extremely good for the price you are paying. They have a great selection of food, flowers, vitamins, children’s books and many other things.
Costco is the best. Good price. Good service. Quality staff I have to update my reviews on Costco food court. From today its become a shame. Long line up and unprofessional staffs. I don't know who acquired the Costco from today but it's a mess
Costco... Come for the $1.50 hotdog + Pepsi and go home with 93 things you never wanted to buy. At least now I have enough supplies to last me a post apocalyptic event.
My favourite grocery store, clothier, and restaurant. Also, the sample vendors have some great advice. They’ve helped me get though some tough times in recent years.
Plenty of parking and easy to get in and out. They provide a mask which is available at the entrance. Well organize so that you can shop for your items and be able to quickly check out.
Apparently not allowed to sell car stuff like oil and windshield washer fluid. Parking is not free and is not pleasant to do with a larger vehicle in the under ground parking. Also, may just be me, but the store seems to be very oddly laid out. The only good thing was the check out wasn't busy, but that may have just been the time of day.
I had an emergency situation and needed all four of my snow tires replaced. Levy from the tire centre really stepped up and helped me out big time! She really went above and beyond to make sure I got my tires in time and mounted them onto my car in a short time frame. I am 100% coming back to this Costco every time I need new tires. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Costco tire centre to any of my friends or family. PS - Costco management, if you read this Levy deserves a star!
Reasonably priced. Excellent customer service and return/exchange process.
Paid parking for costco seriously? I get that this is in downtown but did not expect this from costco. At the least they could have made parking as members only or put a nominal price on parking. Pretty small store too compared to other costcos.
Always finding great deals at Costco. Quality and quantity. Love everything about the company from the food court to even the return policy. Save your money and thanks to Costco.
Love it. Consistently great! Always super busy but worth it for the deals!
It’s an unhappy experience. I recently lined up for almost 1 hour at Costco, in fact, It was so long we had to go pay for parking a second time. I understand its for everyone’s safety but it really makes me frustrated as the long line up. Not Recommended A.T.M.
When I directed the barcode toward the cashier, the cashier gave me a thumbs up. I felt great
It is good place to shop any goods and commodities in in bulk.
Costco I mean same experience as everywhere else in the world. Paid parking available, don't forget your license plate. The food part is always packed but I mean you can never go wrong with a hot dog and a pop for $1.50. I would like to see the chicken bake in the menu like the one they sell in Mexico. Definitely the best place to buy your protein specifically good steaks. Also toilet paper, dish washer and olive oil are always at a good price. Remember that's only master card to pay otherwise you'll need cash. There is an ATM inside. Careful when there's a concert or a game in Rogers arena as it gets packed and it seem like people use the Costco for a pre-lunch.
Took us a while to find the warehouse as we have never seen an underground Costco. It was fun and exciting. The store was busy, clean, organized and while stocked. Shorter line up than we are used to so it was great. Not to mention that it was quiet in there. Love it!!!
Busy, often crowded, but attracts crowd-savvy people, so you generally don't have to deal with more than the one off folks who don't understand the flow of shopping cart traffic etiquette. As a visibly queer couple that stop in every few months for approximately the last decade - we have not experienced harrassment here by other customers, and the staff have always been 100% professional towards us and others in our presence.
The staff here has always been nice and helpful when I’m looking for items. All the carts smell like they have been disinfected. Parking is easy! Never had a problem here. And the selection of organic produce is awesome! Even vegan options for patties or cheese and snacks is ????????
Great selection for a downtown location. Popular items move fast and sell out though. So be quick!
This location is pretty clean and have cool stuff compared to other locations I've been to. I tried the chicken sandwich and it wasn't the best. However, I highly recommend the poutine.
I visit this branch weekly, great for Downtown's residence as it has a huge underground parking, the only reason I give them 4 stars just cause you have to pay for parking and it's expensive since other branches you don't have to pay for parking.
Parking is a bit difficult and paid... But overall a good experience... This Costco has more high end products then other Costcos in the lower Mainland. It also has a nice outdoor seating area to sit and eat.
This place has almost everything that you may need and at the best prices! The thing to remember, though, is that you can make bulk purchases here and need a Costco membership card! Costco food is super amazing and affordable as well! The employees are super helpful and their check out is always fast!
This is a great Costco .. city experience version. Costco seems to cater to the population that lives nearby .. so you will find some different and similar stuff at outlying Costcos. Great place for party platters and multiple packs of items. Costco is not a good place for single shoppers because everything comes in mega- packaging. Speaking of which .. if you are a semsitive shopper .. you won't like the amount of packaging everything is wrapped in.
When you think of Costco, images of rivers of consumers going in and leaving with carts full of everything. You will also think of their packaging, where you don't buy one of anything, always multiples. Then there's the lineups for the free samples of food that most of those in line wouldn't even consider buying, but it's free, isn't it!? That is Costco, but there is also excellent quality, there is also superb selection and rotating inventories so you know everything is fresh, and always something new. As much as all of the above, shopping here is an experience. Just one piece of advice: NEVER shop there while hungry!
What a fluster cluck! This Costco location is a zoo. So busy, it's barely organised chaos. It's also downtown so it's difficult to navigate when leaving the store, one way streets etc. No clear signage when arriving (don't miss the tiny driveway) & pay parking.
Surprisingly a good hotdog...or maybe I was just foolish to go grocery shopping on a empty stomach.
They don't respect people with disabilities and medical conditions. Should be ashamed of themselves.
It's the best place to shop where you can save a lot of money and have fun doing it. it has the best customer service experience that I've ever had and would recommend the membership to anybody it's totally worth it.
Exactly what you would expect for a Costco anywhere in North America. For a city location it is very well managed. Clean, great selection and large facilities. Parking entrance is off Expo Blvd.
I always liked the closeness of this place to downtown. Good service. Not too busy as other Costco stores like in Burnaby...
Some are good prices ongoing sale from the end of November until now. Appreciate it, no matter phone plan to some good quailties clothing thank you, Costco.
It’s a Costco. It has what I want. It’s not pretentious. Just wish they had samples back but totally understand at the current point in time. Am a member and will continue to be
Love that we don’t have to go out the suburbs to hit up a Costco, but will say this one is a bit lacking in inventory at times. But it has all the necessities and is super convenient so it’s a win for me!
This is my go to Costco. Despite the smaller size, it usually has the same variety as the other Costcos around the lower mainland. This particular location's handling of Covid-19 issues has been stellar with lots of staff controlling the flow of customers into and out of the store with clear direction. There is an abundance of underground parking, however if the 1st level is full it's a good indication that it will be absolutely packed inside. I usually come back at a different time or day if that is the case.
We buy everything we can at Costco. They have fair prices, excellent quantity, and a unbeatable return policy. Parking is $2, cheapest in town. Park on P2 to avoid the crowds. My kids love going for the samples and the hot dogs - it's a super fun adventure (that unfortunately ends up costing us $400+ each time!).
Easy! Parking is a breeze, they are set up logistically well for a big haul with a vehicle. Parking is $2. The store’s interior set up just a little different than others but easily discoverable. They seem to have more home furnishing. Love Costco. Not super busy during the weekdays - weekends are insane. And the food service can be accessed from outside - thus not requiring you to enter.
Costco is keeping solid. Really appreciate everybody's hard work. Also the ongoing addition of masks, face guards, no touch thermometers, and other pandemic supplies has been fantastic. Please consider adding fresh yeast? The last kilo of active dry I bought was dead on arrival.
Nice staff, good service though selection somewhat limited
It was fine. Busier than I wish, but I'm so grateful for the staff that are there every day to make it possible for me to go and buy my berries, my cheese, luxuries really that make every day a beautiful treat rather than a challenging day of survival. So grateful.
Decent costco experience. Large layout, good selection of stuff. Food counter separated and outside for easy access and the staff are very helpful and always available.
You can find anything here, in good prices. But for some stuff you should have some plans to share your goods with other people (like family or friends), because for those stuff you can buy numbers togeather in much more discounts. It has good cakes. Good options for pasta. Good oil prices. And some stuff on sale each week. I know some grocery stores in Vancouver who buy their products from Costco and sell them in their stores in more prices.
Costco is my favorite shopping place
By far the best place for all shopping needs. Only drawback being that a membership is required to shop.
I love Costo. They have everything BUT don't go on the weekend in the afternoon whatever you do! Get there as early as possible or you can't even walk around (without a cart, never mind with one!) and the line ups are insane when you checkout! Just a waste of your time. I highly recommend a week day morning if possible! Good luck! ????
I love this place! Many positive interactions over the years and fresh food. Last time I encountered a really rude cashier but there was a long line behind me hence I don’t want to waste other ppl’s time by addressing it on the spot. Called in after I left the store, they got the manager in the line Immediately and she was fast responding to it. As a customer I understand there will be issues, their professionalism of dealing with them have earned by respect.
The cafeteria is outside of the store, do you don't need to flash a Costco card, anyone can walk up and grab food. Debit and MasterCard accepted, they have kiosks you order from to minimize traffic and it flows better
This place is always busy , but they have several cash registres so you can pay fairly quick. They offer different kind of mear, fruits and veggies at a good price. I usually buy my avocados here, he are good quality. i have bought them in different places and arent same quality. They even have clothes, no brand names but cheap ones . the membership is worth it if you shop at least twice or 3 times at month.
This location lost my information, and I was unable to get a card, it cost me another 75.00$ that I now figure is best serves in the future at the new Oakridge establishment, that centalizes it's community making it safer then the crouds of Surrey or downtown...
They ensured we had masks to enter. There's plenty of hand sanitiser on offer too. It's a big store with plenty of range and great for bulk buying. Some people aren't being corrected for not physically distancing so during this time I'd recommend going outside of peak hours if this is unsuitable for you.
Orderly, well organized compared to others in the lower mainland. Week stocked of the usual items.
Handy location. Always decent amount of parking. Great for the reliable deals and some novel ones like the composter pictured.
Right next to the Stadium Chinatown skytrain station, convenience at its best. Is busy almost all the times, unless you can sneak in between 2 to 4pm on weekdays
Look, i was a member years back but stopped as far too many things are too much for a single person household. I go with a friend mow and again as hangout thing and do toss the odd thing in the cart. 2 things stand out at Costco, very friendly and kind staff and....wait for it.....an APPALLING disregard for the environment! SO much stuff is packed in excessive PLASTIC! Its sick!! Costco should be called "CauseCo" as they disregard ALL environ causes and CAUSE more pollution! Brutal and sad and blatant environment al ignorance. Go if you must but learn to cook, shop where loose produce is sold, make your own sauces juices and flavour water. One exception...bulk toilet paper may use less plastic.
The price of things was better than other shop but was very crowded
Costco has the best service, best products and best prices
I had not been at Costco since this pandemic happened. Having self checkout is great and still customer service person helped me to scan everything so I could leave the store super fast! I was so impressed by the service which I got on the day.
Cotsco sell the cheapest hot sog and you don't need to have a membership
Who reads reviews of Costco? In a word, its a hellhole. But still, every few months, we trudge in to get our bulk tp, paper towel, etc. At this location, don't forget to wear pads on your calves - there is a high likelihood that someone will ram you with their overloaded buggy.
Costco is Great! They have a Good Assortment of All Sorts of Different Household Items and Groceries. There Online Site is Great Place to get Deals and Delivers. Also their Return Policy is Next to None the Best, Easy! 5 Stars.
I prefer to go before noon to avoid crowdings. ????
Amazing selection. Great prices. Only problem: sour cream had mold in it. Twice. Returns work okay, but the line can be a few people. Checkout is almost always busy during non-working hours. They give you boxes if you don't have your own bags. Parking is okay, lots of space. $2 for 2 hours. They write tickets if you don't pay, so I advice that you never forget to pay for parking. The food quality is good. Huge selection. You have to buy in packs though. So make sure you have enough space in fridge :)
lot of good selection but the fruit quality suffers
I love Costco but seriously the kiosk for food needs some serious work. The new machines are great, that being said hire more people to work and make the food. The poor food staff are severely under staffed with this type of ordering. I would expect turnover of these people to be high. Having people wait in line made way more sense with only 4 or 5 people to make the food. Now doing it McDonald's style they need to hire more people as the lines are epic and the staff look like they are about to pass out.
Really great customer service, hassle free returns and price matching! ????
I don't have a Cosco membership so today June 9/22) I thought I would take a walk around to see what they carry and check pricing. Ahh, no, I couldn't enter without buying a membership first. Why would I spend $60 for nothing.
Best place to get everything you need under one roof, with the vast stock and so many options for all the budgets , this is one roof under which we can finish all the shopping , the prices are also reasonable and we can choose products based on our price range ! That is the best part! :)
the store experience has been always pretty good but on line experience is really bad lately. I called customer service to check with one of my on line order which 1) has been delayed for 10 days 2) at the end it s been sent back to sender by UPS without any reason updated to me...i was politely asking the reason and tried to clarify my understanding whether it will be a refund or exchange, and the guy who was very rude and bad attitude like "i told you so and i dont care'' tone. It just hard to justify costco's so-call 100% satisfactory gtee......... I will serious consider cancel my membership with such service.
Recently went to Costco and was feeling very safe and secure knowing that the maximum capacity of the building is only 2,000 plus people. What a joke I think I got covid here or was it at Lowe's where the allow over 5,000 people.
I only give two stars because of their products that were available on the shop floor, they are lacking good customer service BIG TIME,their Supervisor was so Rude and impatient dealing with us while we were asking questions, she was not willing to go out of her way to answer any questions regarding the emails and activation process,at the end we had to ask for her manager, she came and helped us which was nice and our concerns were solved, I have to say their manager wasn't the kindest I ever seen either,I SAID HELLO to her and asked her how she is...!!!!she had a poker face on...but I thank her for answering the questions and doing what her supervisor Rudely was refusing to do...
Costco is the best place to buy groceries hands down. Best prices, best staff, fastest lines. No grocer does it better!
I'm a fan of Costco. I like filling my freezer with large amounts of goodies and Costco has great prices. It's more than just my freezer, jeans, socks, tp, vitamins, razor blades... the list goes on. Oh, and hot dogs for $1.50 - that's amazing at 2020 prices! The staff has always been friendly so it does encourage me to return (and buy more than I originally planned at each visit).
This store has amazing staff who guide you properly to find your stuff. At the checkout process they provide you with excellent service with a smile.
Same as most other Costco in terms of layout and products. Their food court area is located outside the warehouse. Parking is $2 for 2 hours, not a bad price for parking downtown, but, if parking fee is a deterrent, go to other Costco location where parking is free. It's right by the SkyTrain station if you don't have a car. Easily accessible with public transit that way. Although, I'd imagine it's difficult to carry lots of Costco size product on public transit.
I went shopping today, specifically for the Senior shop hour, and was very impressed with the way this Costco store and the staff handled all us shoppers. They were making sure we were all socially distancing ourselves, restricting how many people were let in the store as well as the small walk-in for produce and dairy. And the checkout line, even though, it ran from the back of the store to the front, moved super smoothly and well directed by the Costco staff!!! I was very impressed and grateful to all the Costco employees at this location for the way they are dealing with all of us shoppers! Thank you Downtown Costco!!!
Downtown location: you have to pay for parking but it’s usually the best store! They bring in stuff the other locations don’t but the lines are generally fine or nonexistent. That being said you have to snap up anything you want because it will not be there when you come back, lesson learned lol Sizes and sale items go fast as well as produce, nothing new if you’re a Costco regular but newbies that’s for you :) Concession is always busy at peak/normal eating times but typical deals on guilty pleasure fast food - one salad if you must! Enjoy!
Nothing major to complain about. Good prices fantastic service and great return policy. However, today they made me wait 31/2 hours before they took my car in to change tires after promising 11/2 hours turnaround. NOT impressed. I can honestly say they are very badly organised today. I would suggest if people don't show up for work, like they claim, they should phoned us and given us the option to not have the job done today and book it for another day. By the time they are done I would have spent at least 31/2 hours here. Absolutely No apology given either. The only good thing today is the service warranty. I did eventually get a very polite phone call and received an apology from management. Which adds kudos to Costco..I went and had my eyes checked here and bought new specs , prices so much better than my regular optician. Highly recommend you try this place. Also, purchased hearing aids about half the price than other hearing centres but the same quality I am very pleased with mine.
Costco was well organized as usual and everyone wore masks and properly socially distanced. Checkout was fast and easy!
Who doesn't love Costco? They always have new and interesting products that are usually on sale when they are introduced. Keep an eye out the tags with yellow highlight which indicates a discount. This location is clean, bright and organized. I've also found the staff to be very friendly. It gets busy at random times.
My number one place for my groceries. Who needs to go through coupons, junk mail just to save. Costco everyday low price. I love product ending with .97. It means its the lowest all time.
Great place to shop if you need things in bulk.
If you have a winter jacket on leave it in the car. We were way too warm for my comfort level. What do recommend is wearing a N95 mask. There is no social distancing at all in the lineup for a cash register. The things we do for saving ???????? now a days
One of the few Costco warehouses that charges members for parking ($2) I wish they would reimburse you with minimum spending, similar to some other stores do. I guess this is the price you have to pay for having it in the downtown core. Other than that, the variety of merchandise is fine, similar to other warehouses, with slightly more healthy and organics options available.
Quick walk in and pick a few things up in bulk. Good location and quick check out.
Great variety of products and food of all types. Corner stores shop here. Parking, elevators, washrooms, SkyTrain and wheelchair access. Membership required. Inexpensive fast-food available without membership.
It was busy at 5pm, I didn't buy anything. Good prices on items. I think you need to navigate pretty good in there. It takes two people, one to stay with the cart and the other to run and grab like a squirrel. There are too many people in the store. So not covid friendly guidelines. I didnt even go in the grocery area. Battleground for sure!!!
Still they have a problem : why are the cashiers constantly talking with the packers about things that never have anything to do with their job , many times making me wonder if I have been charge the correct amount . The packers should have better training . This attitude is unprofessional and nobody is doing anything about it .
Great selection of food, outdoor stuff, electronics. The lineups always to do quickly especially the express lanes.
DO NOT purchase online with Costco Instacart. arbitrary markups. zero price visbility. purchased $400+ online that i could have purchased in-store for at least $100 less. called Instacart (no help) forwarded me to Costco customer IVR which was closed on the weekend. Last purchase from Costco and Instacart ever
Solid selection. Excellent supply of boxes to move your loot. Large quantities at small prices. Doesn’t accept VISA for some reason.
This location does not look big at the onset, but it is actually quite spacious inside. I actually like this location quite a bit, because I never feel cramped inside. Surprisingly, despite its Downtown location, the lineups are not terrible here. I tried various different times, and most of the time I am able to pay for my items quite quickly.
Eccentrically located downtown Costco. Bit of an adventure to get there, but convenient. Nearly always crowded, so social distancing is purely notional, but very few people don't wear masks, so there's that.
Went to Costco Vancouver this evening and it was shut. No explanation and got stuck in the driveway into the garage with people behind me. No signs, no notice just closed.
Costco is Costco, great stock, great service. What more can I say. If you've never joined, don't wait! If you like the best quality meat you can get, that alone is a reason. But equally awesome prepared foods, fruit and veges. Large size and quantity of many items, but not so large even a single person can't stock up, though it's sold as more business or family focused. Top brand, quality computer, tv and media devices, great return policy. Kirkland items like batteries and clothing are top quality rebrand and competitively priced items, always worth it. Awesome snack counter to fuel up after trekking the warehouse. I can't stop saying top quality cause it is!
Very full today! But the cashier's handled it well!! Thank you everyone!!
While at the check out counter at Costco downtown today, we inadvertently dropped a jar of olives. We were so heartened by the professional manner in which the check out lady handled the issue. She asked one of the co-workers to go get us a replacement jar, and directed us to another check out so that the store could clean up. The employee quickly went to get us the replacement jar. All was done in a very pleasant and kind manner. Such great, caring service from Costco employees! Thank you.
The store is great however I wish since COVID they would invest in their employees. The food court staff have to raise their voice constantly (and now through plastic shields) to yell out your order number which long term is very bad for their vocal cords and now it’s almost been a whole year of it. The volume doesn’t have to be blaring on the speaker but enough so customers can hear them without them having to raise their voice at all. ALL that is needed is a microphone speaker system (Amazon search CallToU window speaker intercom system dual way- saw a business in Yaletown with something similar to this and they love it).
Pretty bad i went today october 03 long line all the way so i pay my parking and left other store
Have you ever wanted 4 litres of mayo and twenty cucumbers? Or glasses and a six foot tall teddy bear? Maybe some dockers and an 86" tv! It's a magical land of excess and exuberant quantities distilled into an aircraft hanger that has amazingly fewer frills than no frills. Certain items are remarkably cheaper like cheese, but it still seems odd to have to pay for an exclusive annual membership to shop, it's not a Christmas fare, it's where you go when you need 25 lbs of onions and 257 diapers.
Luckily, the cashier was quite nice and he said our manager was there if you want to bring this issue to her ! I said of course I will. Then I explained everything to the manager and the manager was very nice then even apologized for JADE’s action. Normally, I don’t write negative comments here , but today I have to. By the way, Thanks very much for the manager to handle this issue in a very professional way. I appreciated your help. In fact, she said I can help you with packing and apologized multiple times..... Eventually, I do the work by myself..... Thanks Manager !!!! Again, this virus affected everyone and we shouldn’t treat people like a criminal just because of our own EGO and Emotion. Place like Costco, it’s impossible to keep that social distance, so everyone wears a mask. As a result, it’s very inconvenient to communicate with each other. So, JADE remember next time don’t ask question if you think someone will pass the virus to you , if you do ask question then don’t ask people to keep social distance while answering your question. You can’t do both.... by the way, her action was accused us as a sick person and that’s not acceptable.....I guess JADE doesn’t have a common sense at all ....... Again, just quit the job, find different one ..... if you are not happy, go find something makes you happy.... We are customers, we are not your tools to manage your emotions and anger!!!! If Costco doesn’t take immediate action, I bet JADE will treat other costumers just like us !!!!! She should be terminated right away....
The supervisor Cristian or Cristina is horrible. As soon as I showed up as an Asian with some complex membership questions she turns to be impatient and rude. She kept saying she cannot help me and just want to skip to the next person. I told her last time someone else helped me and give me the information. She immediately starts to question me and ask who said that. I asked her name and she seems very contempt and says she is the supervisor of this place. I felt she is so offensive and probably won't be visiting this location ever. I Can't imagine any supervisor behave like this. Jesus
Costco's is our Favourite store - we go once a month to stock up. The quality is excellent and prices very good. The staff could not be nicer and more helpful. On Friday the 16th July as we were checking out (EMILUN helped us, and was Prima as usual) the Manager suddenly appeared to offer an Executive Membership, as we are good customers who spend a certain amount per annum. He was most personable and cheerful - I am sorry I did not get his name but he's a Credit to the store. Our only calamity was there was no New York cheese cake on that day - it's The Best, and the lack of it ruined our weekend!!
Who doesn't love Costco?? Just be prepared to spend 3 times what you were expecting. Not that the prices are high, just all the stuff you didn't know you needed :)
I am very upset that Cosco would not let my daughter in to help me bring groceries to her car. They were rude, especially Alex today, Expo Blvd door guy. Does not aloow a little girl and her mom in to use bathroom.
The employees are quite hostile. The customer service is always lacking at costco.
Everybody knows we spend couple of hundred dollars a visit at costco..so did we. Quality of products are very satisfactory and selections wide are satisfactory. I spent for black and decker air fry oven 99bucks,led mirror at 150 dollars so much satisfied now for its quality to price. Sausage was cooked without oil in this mini oven timer 20 minutes and the led light mirror just changed the mood of our condo contemporary way.the 39.99 previous mirror is small and is not a stand so my bf had to tilt it when I wanted to see myself whole body. Also I look better and bright on the light. The costco is clean and very well organized and customer service was fast and precise.you might spend hundred dollars easy~
First time bought Membership card. Its worth it if you are doing bigger shopping.
Really busy. Be prepared to pay for underground parking. There is street parking but usually full and difficult to park due to the pine of impatient drivers waiting to zoom by. Physical costco is smaller than the other costcos in the city but has the essentials.
Why the staff at COSTCO PHARMACY at EXPO BOULEVARD is so RUDE?? Anyone knows?? I moved from Shoppers Pharmacy to Costco and I deeply regret it!! SO DISAPPOINTED! Learn a bit of customer service!!
Was looking at something I needed & another customer pushed me out of her way & I almost fell. This isn't the stores fault but it did give me a bad attitude for the rest of my shop
Korean female staff member at food court was rude and has bad customer service skills
Still trying to find out why everyone is buying so much toilet paper. What happens to the people who really do need it? I guess they use Kleenex. Costco was completely sold out of toilet paper. I was told that you have to be there at opening in the day of delivery. Good luck with that. Always an adventure at Costco.
The only and best Costco in Vancouver. Gets kinda busy, but the lines move quick. This Costco Food court is open to the general public - only takes mastercard payment at this time. Best place to get a hot dog and pop.
Went in renew my membership after not having one for a few years. Definitely not the place to have a membership if you only plan to drop in for one or two things. I find it such a hassle to shop there because it's always full of people and carts which makes moving around challenging. I have noticed with the them as well that they don't always have the best price. Numerous items I use I can get cheaper from another store. And then there's always the issue of storage when you're buying bulk or large items. It's not what it used to be, with truer wholesale prices but there's still some savings to be had.
They moved the berries out of the fridge area. Blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries will have a lot of mold now on the bottom which you can’t see well until you take it home and unbox and sort through them. They used to have great deals for the amount of berries you get but it isn’t worth it if you have to throw out half the box. Blueberries are mostly fine though.
Very unfriendly and grumpy staff. Every fk time I visit this place I feel so upset. I understand that they are unfriendly because it's soooo busy but I don't want to visit here if I can. Sadly, this is closest from my house and I don't have a choice. Especially the lady with pink mask at the cashier, she is so rude and bossy. There was a heavy box and she was like 'put it under the cart.' Well excuse me, you could have helped me ???? You are the one who should help me to organize items in the cart, not telling me to do it. And to the guy who was also at the cashier, Please do not say "WHAT?" to customers ever when they are asking questions. You can say pardon, sorry, or whatever that doesn't sound rude. What is wrong with you guys...
Laughing at customers Used the self serve lane on Jun 28, 2021 at 8:20 am. When I paid with my credit card, I dug out the wrong one: my Costco card. Scolded by and then laughed at by the self serve lane cashier. The other unfortunate thing was that she told another female staff and laughed in front of my face. Very unprofessional! These two staff should receive a special training on respecting customers!
Don't ever go here if you dont have too the line ups are very long
Not too bad. We usually go in before noon and there's a nice flow of casual shoppers. We were all super polite to each other but I'm always super engaging with people, lol. Like the saying goes,"kindness is FREE,sprinkle that **** everywhere!" ????☺️???? Be smart, be safe and have fun.
Paruke paerhati doesn't understand that front line workers are at high risk everyday and must stay alert to help prevent covid spread. They are doing their jobs to ask of any possible sickly concerns if it's quite clear the customer is ill. Costco is very busy with many customers coming and going. You are risking every cashier and person inside the store and outer surrounding area if there would be an outbreak. Due to the negligence of some rude customer that just had to shop at Costco during the pandemic when they were clearly told to stay home. So no I don't think an employee that was clearly nice as you put it should be terminated. STAY HOME if your visibly ill that you put this employee in the position to have to approach you about it! I was going to a leave review until I seen this person's extremely rude review. after they clearly managed to help you with your groceries and apologize so many times as they're further exposing themselves and you still write the review. SOME PEOPLE!!!! Don't know this particular cashier however the staff have always been friendly.
Customer service did not even know their own returns policies which led me to be harassed by a horrible manager named Trish for 2 hours while trying to return a gift. Not sure why I was singled out could possibly be skin colour Would not recommend shopping at this location as the customer service is awful and the staff treat customers like dirt
What can I say? Great place for just about anything from food to clothes, electronics. Well you know. Great return policy too. Staff are generally good with the occasional person not at their best. But overall ok. Now the Food Court is a great deal! Hotdogs, pizza, poutine ! Ok not exactly 'health food' but on ocassion quite a treat especially for the cheap price! Love Costco!
Costco is exactly as one expects it to be. Unfortunately they are no longer good about controlling the numbers going in. People are not careful about distancing. It's very crowded.
Still the best deal in town for a hotdog and soda pop$1.50 + tax
Giant store with some good things but super aggressive sales practices
If you need new tires, go see Paul at the tire centre. He really knows his stuff, explains it well, gives you all the pros and cons and doesn’t pressure you to make the purchase today. I was dreading having to figure out a new set of tires for my vehicle but he made it easy.
So many people it's a bit uncomfortable, people just stand on your feet if they want to. There's no social distance really happening.
Really appreciate the staff members who were "directing traffic" to the tills. Helped get us through quickly and efficiently. Especially grateful to the quick and efficient staff helping at the self-checkouts.
It was a very busy afternoon parking was nuts on p1 suggest p2 next time.
Oh costco. Though your lines may be long and your deals ever strong. My membership will gladly go on.
Try to go on weekdays because there are line ups on the weekend to get in. Costco before the pandemic according to me was like going to Disneyland for adults (free samples, cheap hot dogs and rotisserie chicken (fun fact: Costco doesn't make money from these products sold because it's to draw customers into their store... a good example is why rotisserie chicken is in the back of the store so you browse those other aisles first)). I would highly recommend getting the Costco executive membership if you spend more than $250 per month ($3000 per year) because you get a nice cheque annually towards Costco groceries (2 percent back on purchases with executive membership). This pretty much breaks even with the basic membership fee ($60 annual).
Surprisingly kept soul-destroying brutalist oppressiveness to a bare minimum. Friendly and helpful staff. Don't go to any other Costco in Greater Vancouver.
Down town Vancouver store. PAY PARKING? It's only $2 but the line up to get the tickets....wow. food court nit a great set up, but I guess with limited space it's the best they could do. They do have Ribena ( blackcurrant cordial) unlike my local Abbotsford store.
Trendy footwear like Hunters, Tom's and Uggs can be found at this location at a great price. Unground parking only $2.00 for costco shoppers. Friendly service.
Have found what I needed only in bulk. Checkout lines moved fast. Beware of parking, parking attendants are eager beaver to give tickets. My car was ticketed 2 minutes after purchasing the ticket.
I’m giving a 2 because I spent over $600 on a pair of prescription glasses. When I picked them up they didn’t fit. I had to go back 3 times. On the second time I complained that I could not read through the left lens. They told me to take a couple weeks and I’d get used to it since they were bifocals. Two weeks later I said the same thing. I said as well, I could not see clearly far away. They took the glasses and I had to come back. Then they said there was nothing wrong with them, they are what the prescription was. Then I had to make another appointment during Christmas time to see the eye doctor again that did my eye check. Anyway, long story short I could not get an appointment until over a month away, I was in the middle of moving out of province and my warranty was no longer valid. Nothing at all had to do with me in any kind of delay and I wasted $600 on a pair of glasses that do nothing for me and they would not replace them!
I always eat 2 hot dogs and a poutine and feel sick, I should really blame myself but a budget is a budget on a single meal a day providing minimum wage
Online order FAIL. I ordered a refrigerator, stacker washer/dryer Oct 2, 2020. Delivery was set for the following week. First delivery attempt the driver came up to my place (two flights of stairs) saw my old stuff and went back to the truck and called me to say all the new Costco appliance were damaged and they can't deliver. I called costco they cancelled my order and re-ordered. Take 2 - delivery truck comes. The driver comes up to my place tells me Costco is horrible to work for and complains about my stairs. Second delivery person complains about costco being a big company that isn't good. They look at my old appliances and tell me the will be back. I get a call from the driver saying the washer is damaged. I went out this time...yup looks like damage (possible forklift) I take photos. They tell me they can't deliver/install because of the damage. Then they unpack the fridge. Looks good...they deliver. After the fridge is in my home and they leave. I hear a ton of yelling by all three delivery men. I had a planter that was smashed and damaged without mention. I take a phone call 5 mins later from the driver complaining that their truck is stuck and telling I shouldn't have told them where to park. He then swears at me. I am seriously concerned about the way I was treated. Costco should better vet their vendors. I paid over $4000 for two deliveries that never were fulfilled. I called the contracted delivery company they apologized - I am sure they got paid regardless of how they treated me. Then I called Costco - the very kind customer service rep. Politely took my info and refunded me and then issued a $100 gift card. I expected better COSTCO. I have been reorganizing my life for these deliveries for a month with out actually getting the items I purchased! I would reccomend not ordering from Costco online. Its a real shame they couldn't do better. So unfortunate!
Costco is one shop niche! What you need, when you need it! Large purchases at a fraction of what you would pay any where in else. Enjoy the atmosphere, and shop until you cannot shop anymore!
This store is one that I frequent quite a lot. From my experience, I have to say this Costco branch has a shining star: Jude, the “Events Manager”. He sets the right example as a manager for everyone to follow. Every single time I have been there, he has helped me locate items I was looking for and in so doing, he goes above and beyond to make sure I get what I wanted. He walks you to the exact spot where items are. Believe it or not, he once spent 20 minutes of his precious time as a manager trying to help me get an item I so desperately needed. During those twenty minutes, he even walked in the cold temperature of the store coolers trying to find me what I needed. In terms of attitude, he is extremely positive and always has a smile on his face. At this very store, it’s happened to me to ask a manager for stock availability, and although they knew where the items were, they did not bother moving even a bit to show me where those items were. This is the difference between a shining star, a down-to-earth, helpful manager and one that has an attitude and thinks it’s not for a manager to help ordinary customers. I hope the right people read this comment and that comments like this lead to the excellent services of Jude being recognized by upper-level managers. Thanks a lot Jude for being the decent human being you are????????????
Don't go when there's a Canucks home game, it's the only time the parking lot is full.
Long lineup at return to get an answer of price adj can't be done without a receipt... Even though they can easily look up the purchase history...
It’s Costco - everything under one roof in large portions at great prices with an unmatchable return policy. This location is a smaller than the others but also not as crowded so it makes shopping more efficient. I can see Kirkland brand products slowly taking over the shelf space; the Kirkland products I’ve tried so far are all good quality. Their returns and new members counter is slower than at other locations. Parking is $2 for 2 hours.
As usual, Costco was great. The pharmacist was very friendly, explained everything about the Shingles vaccine, then she gently gave me the jab. Did some shopping. Self checkout was efficient. Picked up a cooked takeout lunch too. Successful shopping trip.
I always have mixed feelings about Costco as they are frequently busy and there are always lineups. This location is smaller than the others, but being downtown, it holds its own. You won't see the more obscure things like license plate brackets with cameras, or appliances, but food-wise they're usually about 90 percent of what other stores carry. Parking is $2 for 2 hours. Too bad they don't have a smaller time increment for cheaper as I never come close to using the full 2 hours. Their parking lot must rake it in over and over on the same parking space which is a bit of a turnoff.
Store great but Pharmacy is terrible service and slow and will not answer questions about prescription tells you to read the instructions or see your doctor. Last time I will ever go to a costco pharmacy, was not even a prescription was a over the counter drug. The rest of the store great.
Great place to shop!! Costco is the best place to buy groceries but you need to buy in bulk to save money. That's what I LOVE but if you don't like buying in bulk then it's not for you. Costco is so cool and the return policy is amazing. If you don't like something you can take it back instantly even if you've eaten some of it. Love love LOVE THIS STORE!!!!
Excellent collection of products and most fruits and vegetables are Canadian, not USA. Amazing!
Best place in Downtown Vancouver right next to a Skytrain Station !!
A normal Costco but right downtown Vancouver by stadium sky train station. If your Downtown and need a Costco this is the place to go to. It has the usual Costco items and a food court outside.
I only came here because I was downtown and didnt want to drive to Burnaby location. $2 parking for 2 hours and a wait to get in and out. Having to wait in line for the elevator to the parkade after loading up was inconvenient. Inside there was limited shoppers so it wasn't too crowded. Got everything I needed but I won't come again because of the parking elevator. They're trying their best to social distance. Lots of sanitizer stations.
Great store! Great bargains/selections! Wished they could have a directory map distributing upon entering knowing where the items on each isles easier. But great friendly, services staffs!
Brilliant place for bulk buying with lots of goods and varieties available. Kirkland Signature is Costco's brand so you will see alot of Kirkland stuff throughout the warehouse, from apple crumble to clothing. Although membership is required, there are several options available. The most expensive option may not seem worth it, but the perks associated with it will pay for the membership itself.
