As you can see the average score it has is basically the best one, and it is based on a high number of scores, so we can say that the valuation is quite credible. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to write evaluations when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Zoo is included in the category of Zoo.
Such a beautiful little place in the park, tucked away in the back. The animals are in nice exhibits that you can walk right up to. The animals are easily observed and viewed. FREE and very cool! I only wish they had more animals. We came later in the day and the hyenas and tiger were being fed in their exhibits and it was fun to watch!
Our family really enjoyed looking at the animals. We were so close to many of the animals just on the other side of the glass! The area is beautiful, with nature walks and playgrounds too.
Really cool place to go with the kids!

Great place, lots of animals, a good amount of woods, many playgrounds, some historical spots, a water fpuntain for playing in, a visitors center pavilions and a spot for ceremonies!
We were visiting for Christmas and went to their Christmas display and what a spectacular experience. Totally worth going and seeing this. So much hard work goes into putting this together.
Anybody can find something they like here. The zoo area has many exhibits, a huge duck pond, Bison, monkeys, owls etc. There are many hiking paths and picnic areas to enjoy as well as playground equipment and public restrooms.
Beautiful Park, especially in the fall! A lot has been done to enhance the natural scene and to aide people's ability to navigate through on foot and by car.
We didn't expect the awesomeness we encountered so we hadn't planned enough time. Will have to return for the zoo and more trails. Loved it!
Weekend
Good acommodations and exhibits, loved the connected park.
I have been coming here since I was a little girl, and it's always beautiful. If it's bad weather you can always just drive through and see the scenics and some of the animals, but the best is doing a walk through. Today I had one of the coolest experiences of my life! The bison were by the pond, and as we were standing there, the golden bull walked over and laid down right by us nearly leaning against the fence! Then the mother with her calf came over and also laid down and the other two meandered over after about 15 minutes. The one even was scratching against the fence! We got a bit of bison hair as a souvenir lol!

Sooo awesome! Lots of fun. Adorable animals

For being free, it was a nice zoo. The park itself has many play areas for children, a mini splash pad and lots of picnic areas. There are zoo areas easy to walk with little children and a petting zoo. But what we liked was the option to drive the park to see the bigger enclosures.
Outstanding family friendly park/zoo. So much to do and all for free: kids jumping fountains, gazebo for weddings or concerts, multiple kids play areas, large or small picnic areas, swimming in the Duncan, hiking, biking, walking, historical building and a fantastic free zoo complete with bears, bison, tigers, owls and many farm yard animals. To top it off the park turns into a lighted winter wonderland from Thanksgiving to New Years.

Beautiful and fun. Love the splash pad, zoo and it's great that Olson's ice cream is now available on weekends!!! Great walking trails and well maintained.
Irvine park zoo is a place for your next family adventure. The zoo has exotic animals you'll love to see. There are many playgrounds where your children can play. In the summer, there is Olsen's ice cream and in winter, the Irvine park employees transform the park into a Christmas winter village. You can drive or go by foot to explore set ups lights and gazebos.
Never disappoints...such an amazing tradition for the Christmas holiday...simply beautiful and so peaceful.

Always a great walk, the animals are awsome to see and of course you have to have a picnic ????
This is a huge park just on the outskirts of Chippewa Falls. There's a zoo, biking trails, walking/nature trails, sandstone falls, a cool old cave with history, a wildflower/tree informational walk, and SO much to do. We spent two hours here and I feel like I only got a glimpse of the park.
Weekday
Loved seeing all the animals! Everything is within walking distance and definitely worth going to see!

Great place to bring the family. There is a zoo but there are also nearby trails and kayaking. Excellent!
Great experience... They have a white buffalo!! And the Tiger and the Hyena too!!!
Very impressive. Couldn't believe how clean & well maintained the entire park is. Nice variety of animal exhibits. My grandsons also enjoyed the petting zoo. Beautiful place to spend the day. Was a nice family outing...we had 4 generations. Thank you Chippewa Falls for giving us such a nice family friendly place to enjoy!

The park is beautiful and is perfect for all phases of life. I have been visiting the park since childhood (late 70's/ early 80s) and have since moved out of state. I make it a point to visit the park when I come to town. I have so many fond memories there, it helps me find my center. I love the improvements throughout the years and hope the parks continues and stays open for years to come.
Well kept small city park zoo. Nice selection of wildlife.

Beautiful day! Birthday party for my Great Granddaughter. Children had so much fun on all the play equipment.
Always a beautiful park. A great place to drive through, but even better to spend part of the day walking around. Whether it's December and you see the Holiday lights or the rest of the year. It's essentially our zoo around here, but places in one of the best parks in the area.
Beautiful park. Really enjoyed the hiking trails!
Not sure
Very clean and family friendly but this last visit one of the hyenas had what looked like a bite mark from another animal on it's neck. They should post what happened because I wasn't sure how to explain it to my son without sounding like they shouldn't be locked up in captivity like that
Great place to bring the family for the day! Lots of nice trails and things to do. They now have a pop up Olson's ice cream which is a big plus. Only complaint is the trash laying around. I don't blame the park but the people for being a**holes. To beautiful of a place in our small city to have any trash.
The park, facilities and pavilions are very nice. The zoo building and barn are a lot of fun. There is very nice play equipment for all ages. The splash pad was not open when I visited. However, it would be nice if people could put their cigarette butts somewhere other than the ground. My son kept trying to pick garbage up. It was very distracting. I find it disrespectful and disheartening. There were also way too many people smoking near buildings and play equipment. I would prefer to see a smoking area designated with some ash trays to minimize litter.
We went to Irvine Zoo today and would like to express our concern that some of the animals are not living in their natural environment or habitat. The tiger and bears looked like they were in discomfort because they had to lay on hard concrete. Is there anyway you could add some soft grass for them? Thanks!
Poor animals. Was like 100+ degrees and the bears had no water at all. Their little water enclosure was nasty and the bears were pacing back n fourth panting. With the amount of money they are putting into this park shouldn't most of it go to the larger animal enclosures!!!! & things for them to Do! The staff are very nice just management needs to step it up and expand for the animals there or the complaints will continue to spread like wildfire. I frequent here and it's always the same, otherwise yeah it's a beautiful place with wonderful surroundings & a nice place to bring your family.
Always a fun time. I feel bad for the animals like tigers and hyenas locked up because they look so depressed but...I know it’s a zoo. Nice pavilions and places to grill out. Good place for walking and trails. Sights. Waterfalls. The one picture I posted is of the newer bridge from a few months back. And the Christmas lights in winter are the best. I go almost everyday while they’re open ????
Hidden gem! Free zoo, beautiful scenery and great trails. A must stop

This is a fantastic park. It has a small zoo and petting area. The creatures are varied but not a bunch since it is publicly funded. There's many walking trails to walk. I highly recommend going to the dam to see it.

Fun little place in Chippewa to bring your kids or dogs. Dogs aren't allowed in the zoo portion but can walk on the outside. Not many animals but the ones they have you can get an up close view without traveling to Minneapolis.
Hadn't been here in a few years. Lots of upgrades to animal habitats. Nice, free, short walk to see them. Baby Lemur riding piggy back was so cute!

We were there in October and it was a little cool out so not many animals but it is free so it is nice for a walk and enjoy the sites
Irvine park is awesome! The zoo keepers are so nice to the animals, and everyone that visits. The playground has lots of things to do on it, and there is lots of animals with nice and big habitats. There is also lots of pavilions for party's or family reunions. So if you are looking for a nice quiet place to relax, walk your dog, play, or have a party, Irvine park is for you!

Amazing park. There are many spots to stop and have a picnic. Lots of equipment for the kids to play on, and extensive hiking and biking trails. The animal displays are amazing as well. Truly worth a visit.
Great zoo lots of animals. Lots of places to sit and watch nature. Lots of trails to walk.
Awesome park in a great little city. The Welcome Center is fantastic but the snack bar is CASH ONLY - they should really put an ATM machine here or a chip reader. They would get 5 stars if that is added!
Lots of improvements on the animals enclosures. Has plenty of playground equipment, unless you have a child with special needs. Very popular spot for family get togethers. Not many places this nice to take the family for free, especially with the petting zoo.
Best time to go though is now, with the Christmas lights. If visiting not in winter, the zoo is a great place to see animals you don't see every day. Lovely place to gather, or let the kids run around.
A lot of the animals were not out, the ones that were out seemed a very content. The environment there was clean and relaxing

Beautiful park with a river running on one side. You can walk through or drive through. Gorgeous trails and some fun animals including lemurs, tigers, bears, bison, hyenas, a petting area and more. Has a nice kids play area and picnic areas. Worth a visit for sure.
I love this park! Cool animals and beautiful landscape. The waterfall and lakes are very calming :) I want to come back and hike the trails again and again
We stumbled across this beautiful park and zoo. It was relaxing and enjoyable to wander around and see the animals, the natural beauty, and heritage sites! It’s a pretty place to gather with your loved ones!
Didn't get to see much of the wild life...guess it's a bad time of the year. But it's exciting to see the Holiday decorations going up. Will be back soon, for exploring
My family goes there every summer & has 4 yrs! Lots good old family picnic memories!

Not much for animals. Decent park for kids to play. No direction on the zoo… not sure where to go.

Irvine had a little bit of everything. Animals new playground equipment lots of trails for the nature walkers. This park has changed alot from when I was a kid. All for the better.

Went to see the Annual Holiday Lighting for the entire park. Simply breathtaking ! Over 200,000 lights this year .
Pretty cool area. A little daunting to navigate through the first time you do in. I think it would do a lot of good if they put signage or directions to go while driving through the park. I almost felt that I was driving in walking only roads on a few parts.
Irvine zoo is beautiful. They don't have a large quantity of animals but the location is amazing.there are multiple hiking trails as well as a beautiful dam, an old school house and log cabin. This is a wonderful place to visit with family and especially children. It is also free to get in. I definitely recommend visiting.
10–30 min
Fantastic experience I took my fur baby
Best park in Chippewa by default. There is a dam on the northish side that is super chill and highly recommended. Otherwise the park near the entrance and the little watering hole is great for kids. Bring some bread and feed the ducks at the turtles in the middle and enjoy the animals there as well. Something all year to do.

Nice little free community zoo with some exotic animals. The enclosures seems small for some of them but I don't know the story behind the zoo nor the animals. The lemurs were fun to watch as we're the animals next to the capuchin monkey with no label - we named them "ring tail possums".
Smaller than expected and the animals were all asleep but still a fun place for a walk
We finally made it to Chippewa Falls for the Christmas Village and it's worth the drive and time. Phenomenal amount of time and effort has gone into the displays. Wonderful!!!!

As always they did a wonderful job decorating the park this year! This is a yearly destination tradition for our family. Wow what a great year, the weather was perfect!

One of the best parks around. So well designed, has amazing & rare animals, many different sights & trails to walk/run on, & beautiful holiday lights. It's beautiful & it's free.
Our family randomly came across this due to taking a wrong route. So thankful and glad we did stop as at the beautiful zoo! Staff kept the animals area clean and up to date.
2 stars since park is woodsy and pretty, but there's not a waterfall, just a fabricated short metal drop that water travels on.
The park workers city and who ever else is involved do an amazing job putting up the Christmas / holiday lights display !!! You can drive or walk thru the lower part of the park . No charge .There are donation boxes if you want ???? Goes from Thanksgiving to New years. It is amazing for both young & old . You won't be disappointed !! ????????
Good place to go for a family with young kids. Usually not too busy. Decent selection of animals for a small time zoo. Just don't go to early in the year because all the animals won't be out.
Fun little spot for the kids with a decent selection of animals - especially considering that it’s free! Really nice playground and open spaces to enjoy, and a creek the kids enjoyed wading around in too.

Nice for a smaller free zoo
**First Time Visit** ***** READ ME: - Park is only open during daylight hours. - PLEASE WATCH YOUR PROPERTY. Put your valuables out of sight-like in your trunk, and lock the vehicle. - NO GUNS, ALCOHOL, OR OTHER CONTRABAND. This is a public park with children and animals. Please behave appropriately. - PLEASE WATCH YOUR CHILDREN, YOUR ANIMALS, YOUR FOOD AND DRINKS, AND CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES. While there, my girlfriend and I witnessed a young boy drink out of a random cup left on a bench while his mother wasn't paying attention. Her parenting aside, ALL CHILDREN ARE CURIOUS. AND LIKE CHILDREN, ANIMALS DON'T KNOW BETTER EITHER. THEY MIGHT TRY STICKING IT IN THEIR MOUTH TOO. Don't leave food, drinks, or general trash around please. - YOU CAN BRING YOUR DOG OR WHATEVER PET YOU HAVE, but THEY MUST BE LEASHED/MONITORED AT ALL TIMES, AND there are certain areas they are NOT allowed to be. - DO NOT feed ANY animal at the park except your own. They get their own food that's special for them. Human food can be bad for animals, like chocolate for dogs. - I'm not an expert on animals, but the animals here DO NOT seem stressed. There seems to be enough space available for each animal. There are NO signs of overcrowded cages or conflict between animals. ***** **Animals** - From large South African rodents to Bengali tigers; there were turtles, hyenas, bears, some kind of large cat and even various birds. - A large fenced off grazing area included a hill or two with a small plain and some small bodies of water. I believe buffalo, bison, and various other animals that I may not have seen are there. The scenic drive goes around this area. - THERE IS A FREE PETTING ZOO, located by a small red barn-type structure. There are a few sheep, two hogs, a mini-pony, a mule, some goats, and maybe a few others that may not have been outside. THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE WHERE I SAW PARK STAFF, there was a lady hosing down the floors inside. This is all I saw before the doors were closed. I've included some photos, which may not be the best quality; I mostly took videos. **Park Facilities and Structures** - Plenty of places to park. There's a scenic drive embedded within the park, with various turn-offs and parking spots. Hiking trails and picnic areas are scattered throughout. Beautiful places to walk around, and a part of the park not accessible to the public BY VEHICLE, I'm sure you can walk down that side though. - Outside the facility, there is a fountain where turtles can be seen doing turtle things. IN the parking lot, I almost walked into a group of turkeys and A SINGLE chicken who were wandering through the parking lot-doing whatever it is they do. - There is indoor and outdoor shelter for all animals, and they seem to freely move about. This includes the large animals out in the grazing fields, they have structures scattered about that provide them with food, clean water, and shelter from weather. - The informational center was pretty bare. No staff to be seen. The building houses a small exhibit featuring pictures, various items, scaled down models of various buildings and structures. Over to the one side is a small auditorium type seating area with a large screen that probably play some informational material at times intervals or during tours, I didn't find out. There was an area labeled "Concessions" but that also was bare, probably used for events. - The replica habitats were pretty cool, secured also by a fence surrounding the viewing area that had locking gates. The habitats themselves seemed like a good-but-limited amount of space for the animals they housed. Thick glass/plastic type viewing "walls" provided a decent viewing experience. The outdoor bird cages also seem tall and roomy at first glance, but upon further inspection they are actually small but spatially efficient. **Takeaway** Beautiful and lovely park to visit if you're in the area and it's open. Bring your dog, cat, boyfriend, girlfriend, wife, husband, your kids, their friends and their kids, the book club, picnic party. BUT CLEAN UP.
A blonde Buffalo are you kidding me!?! A white tiger and a blonde Buffalo!?! The Buffalo may as well be white!?! Are you kidding!?!

The animal exhibits are very nice. Clean and well painted through out the park. Nice play area for kids and the newly added Olsen's ice cream is a good addition. Only available on weekends but understand since that is their busy time.
For a free zoo it is cute and an awesome touch to the park. It is small and does not take a lot of time. Very cute!
One of the coolest places near me. Awesome animal exhibit, and well kept up on. There's walking, water, parks, bathrooms on site, and tons of animals. My children love it here. Cool place to have a birthday party as well. In the winter they so a excellent light display as well.

Nice zoo, animals well kept and had roomy enclosures. Part of the zoo was drive through
Nice place to get out and see some animals while getting a bit of exercise as well! It is free also they just ask for donations to help keep it going :)
Date of Visit: 08/18/2018 - Cute scenic park. Waterfall, zoo animals, walking trails (cement trails and dirt trails), and plenty of picnic areas. Zoo animals seemed very out-of-it and I heard other families remark that they thought the tigers/bears were drugged to keep them calm in the cages. VERY busy - limited parking. Driving areas were rather unmarked and we thought we were driving on a walking path at first but then found out it was a one-way. Lots of graffiti compared to other parks I've been to. Seemed like a place where families gathered - I noticed a lot of gatherings at the various picnic areas.
Pleasantly surprised at this little so. It had birds, owls, bears, tigers, goats, sheep, donkeys and you could feed the goats. I would go back again it was super fun
This is an awesome park & zoo for a city our size, we are so fortunate. The natural beauty is a blessing itself the creek running through. The pond & damn, the hillsides of stone, the beautiful huge forest of trees, old bridges that are artifacts, the animals that are so precious Large & Small, I could go on & on. The Christmas display is adored by many & DONATION not a charge I don't think I know of any as elaborate as ours that does not have a fee to enter. Beautiful & gets better every year, love it and do appreciate it with donations. Many volunteers are involved to make this happen bless them.
They have some animals there I've nevedmr seen before. They do rotate different animals in. You can only see the animals from the outside but 0Wish they had an area inside to go see the animals when it is too cold outside even for the animals. But it's a great place to go. Lots of hiking trails. A few play grounds. Lots of little gazebo areas. A band shell for live music. Out door grilling is allowed. During x-mas they have a drive through light show. Well worth a trip through the x-mas lights.

The exotic animals this park has purchased look neglected. Overweight, too hot, and not enough room for exercise. The enclosures are way to small and the animals are always sleeping. Theres not nearly enough room for any of the animals to get proper exercise, let alone pools for the larger animals to cool off in. The smaller animals like the Lemurs and monkeys, seem over crowded and dont have enough room to climb. The newest set of birds theyve brought in (the african eagle and crows) are clearly distressed. The eagle we watched 2 days in a row struggle to get around the enclosure. The poor guy kept getting his wings stuck in his perches. I suppose i grew up in TN, where the enclosures at the Memphis zoo were large enough to nurture the needs of the larger animals. From what i understand, Irvine has 2 or 3 Tigers. And their encloser here is about a quarter of the size of the one in Memphis. I understand maybe the funding isnt there? But then i dont agree that you should be purchasing animals to put on display while theyre locked up in a glorfied jail cell, if you dont have the funds to provide the animals with their most basic of needs. Buffalo for example, heard for miles and miles, and it looks like they have about a quarter of a mile circumference to roam. The only good thing about this park is the nature trails, and the playground areas. Even the ducks and the local farm animals have larger spaces to roam and cool off in. Wake up Irvine Owners!
Stop here every time we are in Chippewa. Great hiking some of the trails are somewhat difficult. Beautifull scenery. Not a huge fan of the zoo. Most of the animals enclosures are too small. Lots of picnic spots.
Nice place to take the kids on a walk! Free zoo, few animal's behind glass. But the nature walks are the best!

Awesome park lots of play areas for kids nice trails and animals a few historical buildings too
Very awesome that there is something like that in our area. If it wasn't so hot in the animals we're moving around a little bit more would have been a bigger Plus. If you're interested in seeing the Bears and the Tigers and the bigger animals a suggest going on a cooler day or a cooler point of the day.
Really nice clean Park. Easy accessible. No entrance fee, but you welcome to leave a donation. The animals look like they well taken care of. They even have a small petting zoo. Really a nice place to walk around and to take your kids.
The Zoo was just an awesome bonus to an already beautiful park! Two playground areas, a couple different groomed hiking trails, plus a more adventurous one along the creek. At the zoo, all animals were highly visible and well cared for!

Just blows my breath away. It is well done, fantastic animals, ranging from hyenas to regular brown bears. Just loved it
Wonderful family place. Very clean. Nice to see rather beautiful animals up close. Friendly staff
Something for everyone to do! Several parks for children to play, creek for everyone to swim, and pavilions for any type of party! I was married at the Band stand! Do not go after Labor Day. No animals are out and all of the historic buildings are closed.

Always a great time. Our Grandson loved playing on the playground and seeing the Tiger, Bears and feeding the goats. Loved all of it.
Always something fun for the kids to do or look at. They went to see the light and loved all of it!
Greatest free public zoo in a cute quaint little town.
This is the best park in the Chippewa Valley. Lots a walking trails, playground equipment, small zoo, picnic tables and grilling stations make it fun for everyone. There is also a splash station and a outdoor pool located next to the park.
did not get to run through the zoo, but driving along side it we were able to see lots of animals and birds! theres lots of little huts spread out in this area to provide social distancing for picnic areas. lots of families out grilling which was great to see!!! the walking trails out back were absolutely gorgeous and we spent a good time with exploring and walking a bunch. BEAUTIFUL grounds. there were some historical places as well as bison and elk out there to find. loved the experience!
Absolutely amazing! Animals always seem happy and their enclosures are always kept clean! Beautiful pavillion, fun playground, gorgeous driving road and walking trails as well! I know in the summer they also have a splash pad which always seems to be busy! I only 25 min away and have been going here the past 7 years and plan to continue. Whether your looking for an adventure seeing animals and hiking or relaxing and having a bbq - this is one or the best outdoor areas in the area in my opinion!
