This Zoo corresponds to the category of Park.
Turquoise blue water, ample parking, farm animal zoo, cycling friendly, this place is totally undermined compared to Grand Bend but I found it much better.
Such a beautiful beach. Just a word of warning...buy some shoes you can wear in the water because of the rocks on the shore.
Stunning views. Love to watch all the different boats. Even more beautiful in the winter if you can handle the cold!
Beautiful place... crystal water!! It has shower, washroom and a very nice park just behind.
A nice beach place to swim and also good for fishing. You get all facility for you and your family to have your food and also arranged with charcoal BBQ facility.
Seriously u shd visit this paradise, we had nice bath in ice cold crystal clear water and enjoyed the sunset .... If u get a 2 hr time do visit the place...
We walk here all the time. Nice walking paths The gem of Sarnia, in my opinion. You can see blue herons on a regular basis here. Great beach.
Not just for the summer time fun! Went for a good walk about on the wintery moguls, listened to the ice cracking and moving in the water, so very peaceful! Grew up in this park and always find something new to discover!
Best beach so far! Quiet, clean, warm, comfortable, close parking love it!
Clean turquoise blue water Free parking Nice town nearby at the border
You won't be disappointed, guaranteed or your money back. It's worth the trip to BEAUTIFUL Sarnia.
This is one of the best beaches in Canada and the experience is amazing! I have seldom come across any cleaner beach! The colors of the water are breathtaking! A must visit for everyone! The waves give a feeling of the ocean!
Another must-visit tourist attraction in Sarnia. The beach isn’t long but has pretty views. The shore is very rocky so be careful while entering the water. It gets better (sandy) when you are about 10ft in. Good spot to spend time with family and friends. Lots of families and tourists hang out here. Free parking.
Beautiful beach and lovely park great day at the clean beach. Petting zoo was a lot of fun too
Wonderful place to pass one day outing. O have enjoyed a lot. Most importantly, I have enjoyed the beach cuzz, the water is so clean and no salt water.
Beautiful , clean , tons of parking ! And a amazing view !
Lovely beach! We went on long weekend and it was not extremely busy as we found parking spots and a great spot to sit. Just carry water shoes as in the water there are small rocks and pebbles which hurt but the water was nice! We went in the start of September so I believe the average temperature of the water was already up.
Very nice beach lots of free parking. Lots of shaded area and picnic tables in the park
What a beautiful beach! I cannot wait to return. Nice and clean, sailboats to watch.
This beach is really clean and has great amenities like a family change room, showers for washing off the sand, and a adjoined petting zoo. There's also a walkway down to the beach for easier access for the disabled. All in all this is a spectacular beach to go to with family.
Gorgeous blue green water in Ontario. Beach is a bit rocky but if you feel like you're in the Carribean
Great winter area, pond skating, trails deiced and plowed, trash bins galore, very well maintained, Sarnia residents, you have gem!
This is a great big park with lots to see and do. It has washrooms picnic tables enclosed areas . It also has great trails for hiking running and biking. The beach is sandy where you can play volleyball and build sand castles. The children's animal farm is also popular among the kids.
It was a very nice beach. 1 hour from London. It’s got clear waters and rocks on the beach. It has nice benches under a gazebo for eating. Clean washrooms. Washrooms close at 8:00 pm. Ample parking spots. No dogs allowed. Clean beach
Amazing refreshing not very crowded beach... a lot of good hotels around too.
Nice and clean beach, lots of free parking, lots of trees and green land and picnic area for families and their kids around the lake. Great place for photographers especially at the sunset time, nice swim for all family members and their children, it was my first time and I really enjoyed it with my family.
The water was a bit cold. Washrooms were really neat. Lots of parking. Benches are available. Free parking and bbq is also permitted. It’s a bit rocky from the shore to the water up to meters then it’s sandy. It was not crowded.
Beautiful but very very windy and a little weird the huge ships passing by so close.
One of the best beach/Park experiences ,Petting zoo for Farm animals, clean washrooms at every corner, lake water is clean, warm and shallow but Sand stone mixed beach, lot of Parking spots free admission
Good location but nearly no beach area. Mostly rocks from shore down to about 20 feet out into water before you hit sandy bottom. Lots of parking and washrooms are close by.
Awesome beatifull Park a visit worth it always ????????????????❣????????
Absolutely one of the best family friendly parks in all of Southern Ontario. Spacious soccer fields playgrounds beaches... It's an absolute joy to visit here.
Crystal clear water, clean beach and gorgeous views. The perfect place for a family beach day.
Nice big park with large old trees, and a great playground. It also has parking and plenty of picnic tables.
Washrooms were open. Clean beach and surrounding area. Has a park and some trail area. Love the beaches....washed up drift wood, lots of different size rocks and good amount of sand area. Went for a evening walk, and morning breakfast on the beach was lovely.
Best beach I have ever seen. Water is clean and everybody can swim in it without worrying about our hairs.
First time here but definitely not the last, the sand is beautiful and soft (haven’t seen this sand in Canada before) also the water was relatively clear and nice, a little on the cold side but super nice. Also washrooms are clean and accessible
Very clean beach, clear water and beautiful sand. Ideal for swimming and beach activities. The park is also very clean and lots of green spaces. Washrooms are clean and have paper and soap all the times.
One of the most beautiful beaches in Canada! It's not all rocky. But water shoes are recommended, especially if you are older. Caution! There are currents and the closer you are to the river, the faster you can be swept away . Stay safe!
This place is very good for walk. It's good for family people as well. You can watch the waves coming and gives peace to mind.
Tons of open space to go and play sports! Not much garbage if any. Quite clean. Great playgrounds and paths throughout! Many benches and picnic tables
Only complaint I have about the beach is all the rocks in the water, they really hurt the feet and make it hard to enjoy yourself while swimming... Otherwise, it is a beautiful place!
It was a very quiet and amazing beach. We were literally the only one at the beach. Took lot of great pictures
Watched sunset here and what a peaceful evening it was ! I would surely to visit here again. People were seen following the Covid rules. Must go at least one and you won’t be disappointed
A complete family package. Love this beach and park. Lots of space on the beach and number of picnic tables in the park with so many trees and their shades.
Nice place to visit in Sarnia Ontario I don’t know why there are so many stones in the lake but overall nice and quiet place to visit though there are lots of restaurants near this place which quite happening especially on weekends…
This was the cleanest beach I have ever been to. The water was super clean. There is also a good trail to walk on. It is really far from Brampton but it is worth the wait. (3 Hour Drive) I recommend this place.
Beautiful Clearwater convenient facility excellent parking Wonderful Park for a lovely family time, picnic Etc
Was there in the evening and again early morning. Lovely quiet park while i was there.
We found this hidden gem in Sarnia. It is a beautiful beach to enjoy a whole day with friends and family. The water is crystal clear and found a colourful stones as well. It is easy to find a parking as well as it is in the park area. One can enjoy amazing sunset as well.
Walked in to the beach Canatara...nice walk but the windchill was -9... I think I overdid it as my 13 yr. old Sheltie was limping and lagging behind, but she enjoyed our outing, just the same..Took some photos of the lake through the trees.
The best beach in Ontario by far. Nice and clean washrooms. Never so cloudy Beautiful blue clean water. However if you don't like cold water, then find somewhere else.
Nice beach and park to relax and enjoy with the family. Ample parking. The beach is bit rocky. Nice to have a water shoe.
Awesome day at the beach, A little sand and a lot of rocks, but still great for picnics and beach. Weekends, get there early to get a picnic table ,but the parking is massive
Nice and Clean, Easily Accessible Park! My family and I made a brief stop last summer (Aug 2021) at this place to have a glimpse of famous clear bluish waters of Lake Huron. Everything I read about was true. It's unfortunate we didn't swim because of time constraints and weather (very sunny but cool & windy). I marked this place on my itinerary for the next time we visit.
We had great times there and one day the waves knocked me down. LOL.
Beautiful beach! Not to crowded and clean wonderful water! Absolutely stunning
Perfect beach to relax at. Feels like being at the ocean and the water is perfect for swimming. Great spot. Parking is free, there is a walking trail in the park area and usually there is a truck selling burgers and fries and sausage on a bun. Love this beach and has become a summer favorite.
Beautiful park and beach. We went on Labour day, and parking was no problem. It was also Free. There is chip truck near the beach area and washrooms are regularly being cleaned. Also no biting flies on this beach! Unlike all other beaches I've gone to this summer. The water is warm, with bearable waves for swimming.
This beach is exquisite. SO worth the 2 hour drive from the Windsor/Essex area. Planning on visiting this beach OFTEN now that we've been here. VISIT THIS PARK AND BEACH!
Loved this beach. Clear clean water, beautiful beach, petting zoo walking distance, Big Daddys also on site- best hotdogs and fries and service ever!
Nice beach and not too crowded. The park is big. Only thing is the public washrooms are operating at reduced hours and is closed after 3pm.
Beautiful trails and close to beach
One of the beautiful blue sand beach . Nice park around the beach very clean and small beautiful town close to the beach of a whole family enjoys very well
Very clean and nice beach. Nice blue water. Washroom very clean. Very good for family fun. Small zoo their. Kids will enjoy.
The water is blue, and if cloudy weather its seagreen. It is clear water Beach. With lots of picnic area, with benches and some covered area as well
My family and I drive all the way from Windsor to this little gem of a spot. The beach is clean and not too crowded. The park is nicely shaded and you can have a nice family barbeque here.
Beautiful beach! A little rocky and wavy but so blue!
It was amazing for how long the beach was and to see the port Huron water tower from afar but the the stones were tough on the feet when you went into the water but it it was nice to see their was enough beach to enjoy and lay down and relax compare to other beaches along port huron espically in the Grand bend area with very little beach.
Loved it, weather was perfect. Not too crowded, lots of space to have a nice picnic and to walk around the park. Recommend water shoes for the beach, lots of tiny pebbles hurt if you go barefoot.
Overall very good beach and park. Very clean and lots of areas for you and your family to relax. The water is clean and clear. I am taking away 1 star two reasons: one, because the whole beach isn’t sandy. Closer to the water and in the water are stones and rocks that can be hard to tread if you don’t have water shoes. If you go prepared, it’ll be more fun. And two, because it isn’t a very long beach. It can be crowded on weekends. Parking is very accessible but limited.
Whatever the season always an opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking natural scenery in Canatara. Trails for a long walk, or sit and relax overlooking the waves as they crash the shoreline . Best part of a winter visit? Most of the seagulls have followed the french fry trucks south.
Great park and beach area with ample parking..possibly needs more food stalls/variety..beach was filled with pebbles making it hard to walk into the water but overall great experience for both adults and kids and the water and sunset are breathtaking sights individually!
It's the heart of a small city sarnia in Ontario. This place is really beautiful during the spring and summer season and is closed during winter season. A person can admire the true beauty of the nature by sitting just next to the coast.
Lots of Parkland to visit. Some forested areas with walkways, lots of open areas for groups, etc. Access to waterfront with a nice beachfront. Plenty of parking at least during these COVID times. Interesting layout and nicely spread out. Definitely visit again.
Beautiful clean sand and blue water. Lots of space to spread out. Was way too cold to swim, but very nice to enjoy the view!
Beautiful, not much u kan say, other then 2 enjoy a peaceful breeze. Really wrth the 3 hour drive.
If u have a boat this place is fantastic. Very clean great people around. We were just visiting with friends that have a boat and everyone was so nice and helpful. Like camping but with a boat.
Awesome time with my fam! Enjoyed great food (fries, burgers & hot dogs) from Big Daddy's food truck at Canatara Beach 2 days in a row.
I love Lake Huron and this was a great clean and beautiful beach. Quite big and barely any crowds (atleast when I visited it). Must visit when in Sarnia!
