10 Acre Woods is a great idea. Rescuing farm animals is wonderful but they should really let you know if an animal is severely injured ahead of time or not have them out. There is a baby pig with a broken leg and a baby goat with a severe spinal injury. I picked up the baby goat because he came right to me and was yelled at to put him down because of his injury. I felt terrible. Had I known (been told or saw a sign) anything, I would have never picked him up. Thank goodness he was ok but I still feel so awful about it. ????

Baby goats!! There is definitely something therapeutic about petting a baby goat. This place was a bit out of the way and the yoga cost 25 bucks but you will leave with a smile on your face for sure. I mean Baby goats!

This place was pretty awesome! Lots to see and do for the whole family. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. Only reason it doesn't have 5 stars is because I typically reserve 5 star ratings for things I was blown away by. To that end, it wasn't my cup of tea... but this place is Definitely worth checking out.

Very open conception. Run on 'donations'. Loved the first time I took my family, we got to pet a bunch of baby animals and we were brought into the animal house to see the chinchillas, chicks and other little babies. However, the second time I took my wife for mother's day and unfortunately showed up around 20 minutes before closing. I offered to leave, but the owner insisted we stay so we reluctantly did, and was still expected to pay the full fee for my 4 family members. Then left awkwardly with the daughter, wasnt given much hospitality, and wasnt allowed in the animal house. We left awkwardly after 25 minutes realizing they were closed. I would not have paid if I had known it was only for 25 awkward minutes. Hopefully this was just a one off bad time.

Tara was so laid back and friendly. Bringing us music and welcoming us into her home with her family. She and her husband went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The property itself is beautiful and the love of animals radiates from the whole family. Would definitely recommend and will come again!

10 Acre Woods is a magical place filled with love and so much space! The family at 10 Acre woods is beyond welcoming and kind. They took in my two little boys (rabbits) that I love dearly but unfortunately was no longer able to keep due to a lack of proper space for them to live a happy life. I felt so good about their new home and the family that they now live with. The 10 acre woods family knows each and everyone of their animals and knows their name and their story as to how they got to the farm. I first found out about their farm when I had my birthday there two years ago - we did goat yoga, hung out with the adorable animals and then had a bbq after. This place is a wonderful and happy place for animals to live and I highly recommend planning your family or work bbqs there, learning how to make mitts, taking your children there, planning a fieldtrip or just going out for a few hours to surround yourself with animals and as there is no better feeling than surrounding yourself with the simplicity of nature and animals that have an endless amount of love to give. ????

I've been there 3 times now, done the goat yoga as well. The farm is not too big but it's the most loving and caring place. All the animals are extremely friendly, you can even pet Fernando the turkey! Very recommended, once you come there, you become part of a little family and never want to leave again.

Most Amazing rescue farm! August long weekend 33 people descended on 10 acre woods, as I had set up a group goat yoga class for my family reunion. Not only was Tara and her volunteers accommodating they made everyone feel comfortable and we had such a splendid time bonding with the animals and just being silly. I HIGHLY recommend this cute farm you will not be disappointed.

Our daughter brought my wife and myself here for goat yoga. What an amazing experience. The goats as well as other select farm animals wander around among you as you do yoga. The yoga session is quite lax as it is understood you will want to pet the animals when they come near. Who wouldn't want to schmooze with a baby goat. If you wish, one of the attendants will put a goat on your back for a picture. After the session, you can go back into the farmyard and spend some time getting to meet and pet all the animals. A lot of the animals there are rescue animals or animals people just couldn't take care of anymore. The work they do there is absolutely phenomenal! You don't have to take part in the yoga to enjoy the animals. You can check their schedule on the website as they have different events at different times. You can just go enjoy the petting zoo. Absolutely wonderful place. You can just feel the great karma here. We can't wait to go back!

We went here for a Birthday Party a few years ago. We really enjoyed the animals and the fact these animals are rescues made it even more enjoyable! However, the electric fences bear little warning to vistors of their existence. After viewing the animals, the kids were running amok in a small field, with no discouragement from the owner, while the BBQ was prepared. My, then toddler, grabbed hold of the electric fence; my husband grabbed her immediately. The owner remarked she must have missed the eletric pulse and good thing because it has enough energy to down a horse. After that, we were left shaken and upset at the thought of what could have occured. If one opens their property to visitors and calls it family friendly, there should be ample warning that the fences are electric and note of their location. We were not verbally informed of any electric fencing upon arrival to The 10 Acre Woods. After surveying the property we found one very small sign noting the fence was electric. This sign was far removed from the general picnic area, closer to the entrance. We have not returned since this incident so I cannot comment whether or not adequate signage has been placed.

We enjoyed an evening and sleepover for a bachelorette party. I was greeted immediately upon arrival and welcomed into their beautiful home like family. We were given full use of their bbq and outdoor kitchen area, along with Bluetooth speaker to enjoy our music. We had an absolutely fantastic time! The animals are so loved and cared for, you can see how happy they all are. Their care and well-being definitely comes first and it shows! We had such a wonderful time here, I look forward to coming back! 10/10

One of my best friends got married this past weekend here and it was absolutely amazing! From the ceremony to the reception and the petting zoo in between! The owners were so kind and told me so many stories and answered any and every question I had about the animals, their venue and their mission. They were so hospitable and come the end of the night I had a couple drinks, I asked if I could leave my car and they even offered i have it parked on their property just to keep it safe.all around I loved this place and can’t wait to come back!!!
