Beautiful place. Relaxing and nice to enjoy different flowers.
Best free place to hangout. Plenty of paved bike trails and the garden itself is amazing. Well maintained and pruned plants.
One of St. Albert's little gems. I make a point to go here when I visit the city.
The volunteers here have created this little gem of an attraction in the heart St. Albert. Tired or watching baseball walk over to the botanical garden you’ll find a lovely treat!
The park is a gorgeous spot! Beautiful blooms and trees; very peaceful. The Red Willow trail that passes by the park is great for a long run or short walk with your dogs. Safety while out solo isn't much of a worry as there are lots of other friendly folks out using the trails.
I never knew this place existed. I was very impressed with the community garden, and just how beautiful the set up was.
Such a beautiful place! I love that there is parking and the gardens are free to visit. It’s a surprisingly big garden and so many different flowers are spread out and there are benches around to relax - I definitely recommend it!
A really beautiful hidden gem in st Albert. The Rose Garden is fantastic.
It's a beautiful garden, can't wait to go back again when more flowers will be blooming. The only drawback is the mosquitos, just go there prepared for it with some repellent on.
Nice place to walk and enjoy nature.
Super pretty and clean, beautiful garden to take pictures in!
Beautiful place . Lots of flowers. Enjoy and walk 1 hour there. Was a good experience. More over no fee . Thanks Volunteers ????????????
Always love coming here in the summer. It's such a nice, calm, refreshing location... Perfect for a cheap date, since it's absolutely free! The grounds are painstakingly and beautifully maintained, and as the flowers start to bloom it turns into one of my favorite places in the city. Definitely recommend!
Lovely garden
The most beautiful place!!
This is a beautiful botanical garden with free admission. Everything is taken care of by volunteers and there is a gift shop on site as well. All different kinds of plants, shrubs, and trees -- each clearly marked as to what variety it is. Easy to find location in St. Albert.
This is my fiancé and I's favorite date spot to come on a Sunday afternoon. When it's warm enough, we probably come every two weeks just to walk around and take pictures. The flowers are constantly changing and growing, so it never gets boring. We stumbled upon it a few years ago when we wanted a date that didn't cost anything and this was the PERFECT place to come. Every part of these gardens is always well-maintained and the flowers are gorgeous! It's family friendly and there's beautiful paths to walk on. There are different sections through the garden that contain flowers or trees. It is so peaceful. We have recommended this botanical garden to many friends and family and they have all loved it! And an added bonus is that you can walk a bit further and stroll down tona path that leads along the river. I would highly recommend this to anyone! And if you enjoy taking photos, it's the perfect place! I'm so looking forward to the weather warming up again so I can start going back.
This is a hidden gem in St. Albert. We held our wedding ceremony here in August and it was absolutely beautiful. With the fountain in the centre, we didn't need to add any additional decorations. We were also able to hook up a rented sound system to their power outlet which allowed for nice clear sound. The staff at the rose gardens were friendly and accommodating - with the threat of rain on the morning of our wedding, they waited until it cleared to set up the chairs for our guests. We look forward to coming back to the gardens many times in the future.
A beautiful botanical park that has really matured over the past few years. Lots of fall interest.
Beautiful gardens and free admission! Had good clean bathrooms and a small, very inexpensive gift shop. Plants were for sale near the shop. Beautiful flowers and well kept.
Top notch. A joy to visit. The volunteers and contributors do a first rate job of maintaining the park and making it interesting.
Went in late September & although the flowers were fading or already cut back it was still a nice walk. Looking forward to coming back in early summer to see everything in bloom.
Such a lovely spot for a walk through a myriad of beautiful colours. Well maintained and beautifully landscaped with ample enough space to enjoy while maintaining appropriate physical distancing. Full blooms galore right now!!
Absolutely amazing! Loved this hidden gem very much with my family and friends ❤️????✅
Beautiful and a great place to walk and relax.
Great park to relax in. The volunteers do an amazing job and it seems like each year they have more and more things filled out. I hope the city continues to support them as this a real gem for the entire community to enjoy.
Very scenic and peaceful, must visit
I was absoutley amazed at these Gardens and spent 2 1/2 hrs there! Bathing in the beauty of the Gardens and it is located in a perfect area of St. Albert. I took over 100 photos and loolking forward to going again this year with friends! I just found this place Aug. 2020
Beautiful plants and flowers, but I would only give this park a good review if the employees at the gift shop knew how to treat customers politely. The other day my 6-year-old son was touching one of the items and all of a sudden a staff …
Beautiful, peaceful garden in St. Albert. I am fortunate to live across the road from it.
Such a beautiful area. Plants and flowers are very well-maintained. Koodo to the volunteers and the city. Lilies hasn't all come out yet but lots of green space for great pictures. Would come back every summer.
Fantastic gem for walks and picnics. Free admission.
Very pretty and interesting. Run by volunteers and they're very passionate about their park. Lovely ladies I met and great spot to bring a tea and go for a stroll.
We had a great visit to the gardens today. We spent almost 2 hours crunching our way through the fallen trees and did some book reading too.
Amazing plants in this garden. It was a little busy and not much room to walk by safely, but the gardens are so well tended. My mom loved the visit. Could perhaps have a few more signs about safe distancing on path.
i just really love plants
Very beautiful place to be. People can come here for picnic and short walks. Their garden is also very nice. You will feel positive and calm after visiting this place.
A garden!!! A garden!! I have so missed gardens that are easy to access (as in no entry fee!) in the four decades I have lived in Edmonton. What a find. Even though it was fall, I felt uplifted in the beauty of this place. Kudos to St. Alberta and to the volunteers who have created this lovely oasis. I'll be back!
Beautiful gardens to walk in and take pictures!!
We had a lovely, serene and peaceful visit, and learned a little more about the variety of plants and trees in our region. Very well kept and you can hold private functions there as well. Too bad about the front end staff in their little store, who basically ignored us because, well, she was reading something ... (?). We'll return once manners improve and ice cream becomes available ???????????? LCA
It's a beautiful place to go for a short walk. They did a great job creating a garden. Lots of variety of plants. They keep adding more stuff and best of all it's free.
Great free place to soak in some nature! There's tons of flowers and greenery to see. There are spots for picnics and just relaxing.
It's nice going here since they actually have the names on display. The grounds are beautiful overall.
Beautiful and lots of variety. Probably best to attend between last spring and mid summer. Well attended to. Could use relabelling of plants. Bike trail behind gardens. Great for events and walks alone
Pretty. Also a great place to find amateur photographers with their even more amateur models.
Amazing! They do a great job making everything look perfect.
It was nice but I think we have been there too early. The flowers not blooming yet.
Such a variety of plants and flowers and and they're all labeled so you don't leave wondering what was that
May 29, 2021. We keep returning here because it is a wonderful experience to enjoy the flowers, trees and shrubs. I would recommend coming often to see the different stages of flowers, trees and shrubs. The gift shop was open and there is …
Great place for a walk….
Beautiful garden dedicated to the collection, cultivation and display of a wide range of plants labelled with different names. It is well maintained but feels like this time (in October) is not best suited to see flowers blooming, and trees with fruits. Never mind, we will visit again ????❤️
Tidy, family oriented, breathtakingly beautiful, quiet, peaceful. Can spend hours there. Have lunch in or outside if weather is nice. Love it!!!
All in all it's worth the trip. I enjoyed my time especially because it was free. If you do decide to take the trip to see the garden just remember that it is roughly a 10-12 minute walk!
Very nice garden, it has a variety of beautiful flowers and it looks magnificent. I highly recommend. I also recommend bringing bug spray because of the mosquitoes that are at the park.
What a wonderful and beautiful garden to take a stroll through. Enticing smells and colours and wonderful paths to explore. Lots of spots to stop, sit and watch the bees visit each flower.
This small park is maintained by volunteers. We thoroughly enjoyed wandering along the paths, appreciating the plants and flowers. Very nicely done!
A well kept extended park with multiple gardens. A great place to go for a walk and appreciation of nature's beauty.
Great place for walk. Stop and smell the roses...run by volunteers.
Gorgeous park and definitely worth a visit. Well maintained by volunteers and you can tell they put in care to create a beautiful atmosphere
Beautiful place run by volunteers.
I fell in love with St.Albert because of the Botanical Garden. We love visiting in the summer take pictures or videos of the variety of flowers and plants. We keep coming back every year.
Such a beautiful relaxing place to check out. Go for a small walk and look at the beautiful garden. It's free to enter but no dogs are allowed. It's a small park. Can walk the whole thing in under 10 minutes.
This FREE botanic garden is so worth the visit! The many volunteers that tend the gardens are truly amazing as they look after the grounds so meticulously. The pathways are good for people needing walking assistance with walkers or wheelchairs so they can also access all the beautiful flowers and views. Definitely a spot worth visiting in the summer months!
Best botanic park in the capital region. Vegetation far out performs that of the UofA Botanic Park.
Great place to just walk around and enjoy the flowers and beautiful gardens and it's free! Thanks to all of the volunteers that maintain it. We love to visit with our granddaughter.
It's laid out really nice and well maintained. There's seating areas throughout the garden.
This is a just visit if you are in St Albert specially during a sunny beautiful day in mid summer. The roses are in full bloom and the scent of them will fascinate you. The path is long enough to allow you enjoy the many variety of flowers and admire the colors. Take a little break and sit on one of the park benches. You can even purchase some flowers to beautify your own garden. Well worth the visit.9
A BEAUTIFUL experience. Thank You Volunteers! So tranquil and so full of beautiful trees, shrubs, flowers, etc.
Amazing place, very well maintained. Had lunch there with family before walking around.
Great experience especially for Last enthusiast's.
I was unaware of this beautiful location until I attended my grandson's wedding. Cannot believe all the upkeep and work is done by volunteers. The wedding was after a regular work party so had the opportunity to visit with many volunteers. Such nice people and a wonderful place for my grandson to begin his adventure as a married man.
A beautiful garden just a short drive from Edmonton and St Albert ..a nice excuse to stop and smell the Rose's
I love this beautiful free outside garden. It is so peaceful.
Just a lovely park to wander for a date night. I really enjoy reading all the funny names of the hundreds of flowers.
Some of people that working there are unpleasantly make a talk. I visited today and on the parking lot after conversation with one worker I completely changed my decision and not even getting from my car I left and I’ll not return for a long time.
For a volunteer run garden this is really well done. Worth the look if you are in the area.
Beautiful gardens and well maintained for a peaceful walk!!
They had a picnic in the park event today. Beautiful flowers, great walking trails, very friendly volunteers. They had ice cream for kids, face painting, button making all for free. Great little place to spend the afternoon with family.
Made for a wonderful date walk. Wife loved the flowers. I thought the flowers smelled nice.
A great little space filled with different plants and beautifully well kept.
Beautiful park for strolling, photo shoots, and just relaxing.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Beautiful place to do you ceremony wedding. If you're thinking doing your wedding in a garden with affordable rental fee, here is your place. Unfortunately the chair is an additional fee which is $3.25 each. I believe the tables were free. We brought the chair covers.
Very nice public park with lots of different flowers, shrubs, etc. There is also a small gift shop.
Such amazing space in St. Albert we just love all the different species of flowers and trees and how it's always in flower with something new! And oh the roses!
Wonderful park. Great place to spend time with your family
Nice place for a peaceful stroll, even for nongardners. Anyone who is interested in gardening will find it a good way to check out diferent varieties and get ideas for new plantings. Because it's free, you can go back often through out the growing season and get a feel for how various plants look at different stages.
It's free, they have public washrooms, watch out for drains in the grass ( I fell!), There's a view of a stream on the backside. Lots of flowers. Seemed popular.
Beautiful place to go and relax. I go weekly and it is nice to see the changes that happen with nature. It is free so a great place to spend some meditation time.
Very pretty flower garden this time of year. If you have not gone then go soon while Summer Blooms are great. Its free
Wonderful garden plots, well laid out, beautiful flowers, trees and shrubs of all kinds that can be grown here in Alberta. Can give you inspiration for your own garden at home. Gardens are all done by volunteers. Definitely a place for pictures, and pleasant walk.
