The exhibit downstairs is very small! Some fish, sharks, turtles, reptiles and penguins. There is two tanks where you can touch the sharks and sea urchins/starfish. The penguin talk is short and informative. The sea lion show was actually quite entertaining and good but you can watch it from the railings in the mall... They do bring a boa out first. They let you have an opportunity to take photos with the boa or the sea lion for a fee. I bought the Edmonton attraction pass and it was a part of it.

This place is great in a mall. I wish they were able to handle more visitors. After washing your hands, you can touch the stingrays and coral which is a worth the experience. They have educational shows with penguins and reptiles there. You can also get admission to the sea lion show next door. Only downside is to ask if there is a school group. If there is, walk around the mall and come back as the place gets quite packed downstairs.

This place clearly takes care of all their animals. Enjoyable place to take a friend but honestly it's just as fun to go alone. I'd probably pay their prices just to see their sea lion shows but it's really nice that the aquaroum admisson is inluded. It is a rather small aquarium but it's still a great time.

The staff at west Edmonton mall are unbelievably RUDE! I took my 2 year old son to watch the seal show at 4pm, we arrived at 3:55 and the 60 year old cashier purposely took as long as humanly possible to assist the family in front of us so that she could REFUSE SERVICE on account of the time being 4:01 (no joke!) and "she didnt want the seals to be startled". This is only one of a handful of reasons why I strongly recommend not visiting the only attraction in this ugly town

Really awesome attraction! It's pretty cool to not only have the sea lion show but also a zoo/aquarium to hang out in. I've been a few times and every show is a little different. Good fun for a mall date

A complete waste of money and time. Do not spend your money here. $10.50 per person for a dismal and depressing experience. The space is small, the upkeep and maintenance is questionable, and ultimately, the animals are kept is small tanks, which look terrible. I would gladly pay more if the animals were kept in better conditions.

Extremely small and pretty overpriced! The tanks themself are incredibly small for how many animals are inside. Don't expect to see very much down there. Even the penguin area is beyond tiny. However the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and try to make the experience as best as possible. My daughter did enjoy the sea lion show, she's 1.5 yrs old.

Had a great time walking through the caverns. Big notes for me, they had three breeds of sharks. Especially enjoyed the black tip reef shark and nurse shark. Also of note are the turtles, including a snapping turtle and a good sized sea turtle. They also have a number of African penguins and a touch pool.

RIP off place if excuse me. I believed its 20 bucks but not a lot to see. Sea lion show is nice but you can still watch it from outside the fence. Keep the money and spend somewhere else.

Staff was very informative for any questions we had about the animals. Everything was clean. There are a fair amount of stairs so you can't take in a stroller (or any open drinks) but they do have an area for stroller parking.

Don't waste your time or money. The caverns are at max 40' of crowded viewing. The "all day pass" they won't allow you to even view the sea lions outside the show times. Go elsewhere.

The Sea Lion Show was worth the price of admission. They have a 32 year old Penguin named Doug. They didn't know she was a she until she laid eggs. Great story.

It hasn't changed much over the years but it's still amazing to 'sea' when you visit. Great for the kids as there's a lot of learning opportunities for animals they probably will never see thanks to that modern urban legend called "Global Warming."

The amount of times I've been to the mall, and I'd never knew this place existed! It's a great little cozy place to see some animals, touch sharks... They've got manta rays, sea turtles, etc. Neat little space, would recommend to add to the "touristy" list!

One of my most favourite places to go. All the staff are passionate and knowledgeable. Animals are happy and well cared for, they all look healthy. The penguin exhibit is bigger than it looks when you stand inside of it.

Visited as part of Edmonton attraction pass. The Sea Lion show is fairly entertaining and the highlight. The cavern itself is very small and not much to see - unless you enjoy sitting watching penguins staring at you on one side and sea turtles & sharks swimming. There is one pool for you to touch some small sharks and another pool with anemones, sea cucumbers and starfishes.

Where to start with this 'attraction', The animals in 'the cavern' are incredibly cramped. We will start this review on the reptiles enclosures; the large boa constrictors they have are in an unacceptable size enclosure and they are housed together. Snakes should never be housed together due to the fact that if one gets ill, they both get ill. You cannot feed them in the enclosure causing unnecessary stress from feeding out of enclosure and having to move back. Which could cause regurgitation. On to the marine life; three large turtles, a small school of assorted fish and a handful of large sharks all cramped into a space smaller than the sea lions? What an absolute joke. You have that entire area where the submarines used to be completely unutilized but have the audacity to claim that you care about the conservation of these animals. The worst thing about this sad side show attraction was the penguins. They were in an enclosure smaller than my tiny garden shed. These birds have no idea what proper care looks like. One in the corner was picking its feathers out, no, not moulting but self mutilating or plucking. At the end of the 'experience' two staff members were holding a small ball python, one was explaining the requirements(which were very wrong, including the fact that the ball python was underfed) Snakes also do not require UVB lamps or lights in general if they are nocturnal, this just adds to the stress. I feel great sadness for all the animals there, especially the wrongly looked after ones. Also charging for a digital picture on top of the 12$ admission to this ungodly representation of animal care is ridiculous. Seriously, save your money because this 'show' is not worth it.

Just came back from 5 days at West Edmonton Mall with family, including my kids, 5 & 3. The Sea Life Caverns are a small aquarium at the West Edmonton Mall. The staff were very informative and actively engaging everyone. There were penguins, reptiles, and a large tank with sharks, tuna and sea turtles. The coolest part were the stingrays (cow nose rays actually)the kids could actually pet these guys in a pool which was really cool and my kids enjoyed. It was also included as part of our Multi Pass wrist bands.
