Awesome place to go for half a day! There are motion sensors that you have trip to get the dinosaurs to move. Pretty cool! …

Kristin Peters

We had such a great time here, despite it being a pretty busy pandemic Saturday! They have good safety protocols in place and it really reduced stress for us as we walked through. The two nature trails are awesome and the scenery was just as nice as the animatronics. There is a massive play space for children and an employee came out in a cool raptor costume at one point. Well worth the quick drive from Edmonton for a quick day trip!

Syd Jacklin

A fun family outing, the dinosaurs are impressive in scale and the setting makes them seem even more realistic. The park layout and play area make it a great place to spend time with the kids.

Amanda Legge

Very easy to social distance. You walk through the park with your own household. Ample sanitizer stations conveniently located throughout the paths. Gift shop is very affordable and easily picked 7 souvenirs for less then $35. 2 adults 3 children $55. Additional child $10

Originally, I was thinking this was more of a family/childrens attraction but was still very keen on checking it out - and I'm glad we did! I was thoroughly surprised/pleased at how realistic the dinosaurs were! Fantastic outing for family, friends or a date alike. They've installed sensors on the trails so you often hear the dinosaurs before you can see them which added an interesting element and fun game of 'who can spot the dinosaur first'! Also lots of information about local wildlife and vegetation on signs throughout the trails. Big playground for the kids where they can also uncover 'dinosaur bones' under the sand. The short trek from Edmonton is very much worth it!

Joel Nieuwenkamp

Family friendly, good paths for strollers or wagons. Nice picnic area and sand/ playground. Family rate should really be regardless of size. Although prices were not outrageous, seemed reasonable for the activity received.

Ashu Goyal

Fun for kids????loved the dinosaurs moving and their sound????all the Covid protocols were taken care of well????

Caterina Vaduva

Always a blast to see the Dino's! Motion sensored dinos in the forest with info! Great for kids of most ages.

Florian Vierzigmann

Great place North of Edmonton for a family visit. I liked how the dinosaurs are shown in the forest.

Keith Karanjia

We took a group of kids aged 2-4 and they enjoyed the walk to see the dinosaurs. It's a little park and the animatronics are pretty neat. There is small playground kids will like and a small kiosk for food .

Janine Harrison

Amazing place to take the whole family! The kids had a blast!

Ifedayo Akinbodewa

The kids had fun, considering the fact that they have been seeing dinosaurs on TV.

Myles Mannix

Had a great time here. Lots of things to read and the dinosaurs are relatively active when viewing. The paths are laid out nicely with interesting facts along the way. The staff were very friendly and the grounds well kept. Fully stocked gift shop as well. Lots of room to have a picnic ore snack bar available. Cafe wasn’t open when we went mine you as it was close to the end of the season. Definitely taking the kids back during the summer.

MAGmediaONE

Amazing experience!!! Quality animatronic dinosaurs!!! Beautiful and peaceful walking paths. Great place for kids!!! Gift shop has a solid selection and is all reasonably priced. If I lived in this province we would be here quite a bit.

Brandon De Ochoa

A fun and interesting place to visit if you enjoying learning about dinosaurs and how they lived in the past.

Quin Amorim

A must see for anyone. Right outside Edmonton, a beautiful place with lots of parking. Nature all around, wooden walkways all around, clean bathrooms, a huge sand playground with dinosaurs ???? for the kids to climb. Also has a food concession, with lots of shade and tables for everyone. Attached to the kids playground is also a mini golf for kids and grownups to have fun. Very nice ???? * If you find this review helpful, please give it a like

It was an amazing experience! They were not to loud and the path was clear to walk on. The kids really enjoyed their visit there...It was a nice place for kids.

Devon Gurney

Really Cool place for families with young kids. I would say 3-10 is prime age for what they have there. I would bring food if you are planning on being there through lunch They do have a cafeteria but it's small and only sells Hot Dogs and Pizza with drinks and snacks on the side. The Indoor area is also quite small so if there is more than 8 people it starts to feel crowded. Also bathrooms are small as well so if it's busy there will be a line. All in all a decent experience at an extremely affordable price.

Katina Davenport

The walking trails were awesome; the walking area would be better if it was a bit wider, so you can get around groups of people. We had a wagon for our 2 kids, but walking the path, we passed a lot of people with strollers. The single strollers were easy to get by, but the double (side by side) strollers made it pretty tight. The play area for the kids is big, it's great, lots of things for them to play with. Just wish there was more shade, it's pretty hot in that area. As long as they have sunscreen, you don't need to worry about it though. Or maybe if they added a splash park, that would be pretty awesome! The canteen is small, but it's a good little spot to eat. Gift shop is really cute, check out their keychains! They're freaking adorable. On busy days, I wish they had more bathrooms. Just make sure you aren't busting by the time you get in line ????

Kris Taylor

Went yesterday took family from BC. They were quite impressed it was fun. My 12 year old grandson enjoyed. Can't wait to take my other grandson when he is able to visit. He is dinosaur crazy.

DG Odlum

So much fun!!!! We took about 1.5hrs to get through both loops with a 2.5yo who LOVES dinos. A few spooked him but overall he wasn't scared and loved it all of course we had to buy 2 new dino figures on our walk through the well-placed gift shop ;)

Amy Marie Collins

This place was a nice way to spend the day. It is slightly expensive I found but the staff were great. The information on the trails is wonderful and the dinosaurs are great. We took two littles ones and they had a blast. They have food offered there and a little play area. Expect your kids to get sand in their shoes if they are playing. Overall it was a wonderful day. Took about 2 hours to see everything and also eat. Definitely will do it again.

Harrison Linden

Jurassic Forest was a great time and worth the short drive out of Edmonton! The staff were really nice and helpful at the entrance and the gift shop. The path surprised me most, it is a very nice wooden boardwalk that not only protects your footwear from the water and muddy spots, but also makes the experience very accessible to all. Due to COVID 19 the paths are 1 way only which means you're unlikely to bump into anybody which I appreciate at any time! The old growth forest is beautiful and a lovely escape out of the city but be prepared with bug spray as large sections of the walk will have mosquitos depending on the day. Lastly, the experience is surprisingly immersive! We were startled a few times by seeing and hearing the dinosaurs, some of which are just huge! As two people in our mid 20s, we loved it. Side note - Mini golf was fun but not it's not the best course, perfect for kids though!

Karina Hernández Pérez

Loved the place. Hardly any mosquitoes, good food, nice staff and affordable prices. And DINOSAURS, duh! What's more awesome than dinosaurs?

Anna BeSomething

Had a great 1.5hr walk with the kids and both my 2 year old and 10 year old loved it. Bring a wagon or stroller for young ones. Bring bug spray. Cloudy days make for dramatic photos!!

Raman .S

Kids loved the dinosaurs and would definitely visit again.

Jordan O

Staff was friendly and helpful. Experience was awesome my kid had a blast. Not too expensive and close to the city. Got fairly busy but if you go right at open it's quiet.

Hanan

So unless your children like dinosaurs this place is not that fun. Neither of my kids stopped long enough on any part of the trail to learn about any of the information provided. They almost ran thru the whole thing. The mini golf which might have entertained my 11 year old was shut down for renos. And not much else was happening. We did not stay long as both were whining they were bored.

Catzes96

We went here last year for part of our family vacation and we were amazed at how cool this place is!! Just make sure you bring lots of mosquito spray! Lol we lent out a lot of our OFF to quite a few people on the dinosaur trail as they weren’t prepared! The scenery was beautiful and natural all the way. The dinosaurs looked very realistic and the pricing was pretty fair! The gift shop was really nice as well. We all had a great time! The only bad thing was that the playground for the kids had no shading at all so the sun blared right down on the kids so they didn’t get much time there to play.

Graham Allen

Very nicely layed out park that makes you feel like you are in Jurassic Park. The dinosaurs and other creatures are all animatronic and create a very unique environment. I wish they expanded the park adding in places to dig for fake bones or some kind of ride to simulate something you see in the Jurassic Park movies

Randy Chua

Took my kid there who is really into dinosaurs. It was great, the trails were really well maintained, the dinosaurs were amazing. They were all really nice and the size of the dinosaurs were great. the movements were also good. The concession was reasonable priced ex: slice of pizza $3.50. and the gift shop had items at all price ranges. Ex: we bought a 3" plastic dinosaurs skeleton which $1. Overall it was a great trip.

Mike Leoppky

Kind staff, beautiful scenery, and dinosaurs!! What more can you ask for?? If you’ve been contemplating a visit, believe me it’s worth it.

Colby Heleta

Very fun place to take children! And children at heart!!

Rob

Me and my kids went here recently and we loved it the employees were nice and friendly it's reasonably price for families it's very informative and the kids love it I highly recommend this any families that wanna go do something fun and educational... I will definitely be taking my kids back there.

Sammy 23

Really amazing and full of fun park for kids. They have dinassours placed throughout the trail with 3d movement and voice activated.

DREAMCATCHERMEDIA INDOCAN

Nice set up . Plenty of room for kids to enjoy and learn about fossils and prehistoric animals. Make sure to not to go during noon time as it could get so hot regardless the trees around. Mornings would be perfect. You can purchase tickets at the counter. Walkway built inside the park is all wooden and sturdy so no fear about muddy spots if it rains.

Sonu Bal

Very Nice family ???? fun walk in woods. Very friendly staff . ???????????????????? Heads Up for Big Bugs. So don't forget your Bugs Spray, can save you a lot of scratching after the trip.

Joanna Lawrence

We went to Jurassic Forest on a Saturday in July. It was incredibly busy and we waited nearly an hour to get in. Once on the paths, there really was no opportunity to linger and read the signage because the boardwalk is narrow and there's just so many people coming through. The wait at the concession stand and gift shop was also long. I would suggest going at 9am right as it opens. To the operators, I suggest doing a timed entry to manage the amount of people in the place and make sure everyone has a pleasant experience. As for the dinosaurs themselves, they were great and my kid enjoyed herself. I do wish some of the dinosaurs were closer to the path, but not close enough to touch, of course. Something like what the Calgary Zoo has. I also wished the interpretive signs were at kid eye level because my daughter wanted to be constantly picked up to look at the pictures on the signs. Older kids should be able to read the signs by themselves too. Overall, I think we'll go back but definitely at a less busy time when we can enjoy the journey a bit more.

Q Sang

It's a great place if you have kids who are obsessed with dinosaurs. I find Jurassic forest has better scene set than Calgary Zoo as the dinos are placed in the woods with marsh like area. That does also mean there are a lot mosquitoes, so make sure you have bug spray with you.

Veronica Manchur

My son had so much fun.definitely will be back.

Blyn May

We love it, my daughter enjoyed it so much and very happy, clean and a perfect place to take your family on short family day, you can bring your own food they have tables outdoor and indoor, they have gift souvenir shop also and a mini golf.

Ashlee Begoray

Took our 1.5 yr old and newborn. Paths were perfect for strollers and had roped sides so when our lil guy wanted to walk, he knew to stay on the path. He wasn't scared! Dinosaurs looked real and moved and made sounds! We will go back!

Kuljit Cheema

Fun, exciting place for kids. My niece loved it and asking to revisit, miss sitting area and better refreshment corner.

Mr Special

Amazing park for your little ones. It has a sandbox with the dig site as well as other interesting things. There is a pretty cool path to walk around, with two different trails. You can pull your kiddos on a pretty cool trolly that they …

Jonathan

Fantastic place for children. A bit of a drive but well worth it. They also required proof of vaccination despite being an outdoors facility. Quite reassuring that they prioritize customer safety. We hope to go again in the future!

Claudia N

We had a wonderful time in the Jurassic Forest. Very interesting and informative. I was impressed that the dinosaurs were actually moving and making sounds. We enjoyed our visit!

Sandra Gaviria-Buck

Really enjoyed our visit to this place! It felt like we were actually in a Jurassic Forest! There is a boardwalk in each of the two sections. The dinosaurs are very realistic. Most of them move and make noises and are set in scenes that make it even more realistic. There are info boards all over about the plants and animals of the area, as well as the dinosaurs. At the entrance there is a small museum, some dinosaur rides that work with loonies and a big sand area where kids can dig for bones and climb on dinosaurs. The parking lot is quite big. Will definitely be going back with my kids.

Aquil Jaison

Great place for a day out with kids. There is about 2/3 main trails with a variety of dinosaurs, birds and sub-species to be seen. The staff are friendly and welcoming and kind. Park is informative and great place for kids and family. They …

Christopher Simon

We took our kids here for a day of Dino fun. They had a blast! Everything they does show it’s age a bit but I was impressed how well kept it was for a place as old as this. Also, our kids imagination’s didn’t seem to care. Definitely a place worth checking out if you have never been there before.

sujan basnet

What a great experience out there. Learn about different species of dinasour and the noises they make. Movements have also been arranged in such a way that it feels realistic. Can get lot of items to buy that makes your visit even memorable.

Jon Eeuwes

Very fun and close to home. Go early as it gets busy quick. Worth it for smaller children and the young at heart. First time visiting and will love going back. Friendly Dino wranglers onsite.

Steven Baryluk

This was as decent place to spend a few hours with the kids during a road trip. We camped across from the entrance at Mcleod Creek Farm & Campground partly because we planned to visit here. It was an enjoyable half day even though there was a little bit of rain. They had a playground, dinosaur riders for small kids, a nice boardwalk trail to see the animatronic dinosaurs. They're not anywhere near the level of sophistication of a Disney park, for example, but the children enjoyed seeing them nonetheless. There is the obligatory gift shop and a cool interactive floor where you can squish bugs by stepping on them. If your kids are into dinosaurs then they would definitely enjoy spending a little time here.

Lizzete Aranda

Awesome place for kids. Big play ground filled with sand. Adults will also enjoy taking a walk while kids enjoy looking at this big Dinosaurs. Dogs not be allowed. Enough parking area, and staff very friendly.

J F (Archive Acct)

Fun outing with kids or potentially a date. Lots of Pokestops/gym. Bring your own water bottle and bug spray as prices are tourist high. Good accessibility. Activities easily broke down into bite size chunks.

Simon Handley

First time I've been. Heard great things, wasn't disappointed. Nice place with lots of awesome animatronic dinosaurs. Wee lad loved it and the distance wasn't too bad to cover for a 4 year old. Gift shop and concessions decent, parking was easy, lots of space for people to safely social distance. All in all a great place to stop on our adventures seeking dinosaurs and headed from Ontario to Jasper.

MK

Absolutely loved it! So much stuff to look at, paths are easy to walk on even with a stroller, lots of pictures and explanations, love love the sand box/fossil area for young kids. Highly recommend. Bring bugspray

Mitch Lavender

Very nice place, with lots of potential. Kids definitely loved it. The dinosaur's were pretty underwhelming really... They weren't even alive!! (Jk)... They were a bit far away, and not very engaging (minimal movement and sound). I'd definitely pay more to get a bigger "wow" factor. Overall a neat experience.

Mark Vogel

I think they have done a ton of maintenance in the last year, the place looks great. Also, look at the quality of this rope splice! If they are putting this much attention into their rope barriers, you know how top notch everything else is.

Camilla Narayan

Great place to go on a little adventure with kids of all ages. COVID-19 precautions in place. Wasn't too busy when we went. All staff was kind and courteous throughout.

Monark Bhagat

Jurassic forest is more of a fun train trail to walk.. not much to do except a mini golf course and small patch that they call it dino dig, it would be great if there were some more activities to do.. also gift shop didnt had much to choose from over all good place to go for a quick out...

Jed Emil Villamor

Love the life like animatronic dinosaurs. Great place for families especially if you have little kids. Just don't forget to bring mosquito repellant.

Kyle Keller

The park surpassed my expectations. A very fine fine for the family, especially for the ones interested in prehistoric creatures. Enjoy!

रमेश

Great place for family and friends to explore. The place is well kept and the staffs are very friendly. If you are a dinosaur fan then this place is a must see.

Josephine Chai

I've always hear about this place but never had a chance to go until today. I was very impressed with all the dinosaurs you get to see on two different trail paths. Not only did we see dinosaurs, they also move which was a great surprise for the kids, I was not expecting that! The paths are wide enough for strollers and wagons. We got to meet Rosie the dinosaur and her handler. The staff member dressed up as Rosie was very good at making it so she wasn't scary as the costume was very realistic. We were allowed to pet her and ask questions and she would respond by nodding or shaking her head. There is also a nice big park with more than enough dinosaurs to climb and the kids can "dig" and find "fossils". There is also a fun mini golf course to try too. Overall this place is great for everyone and we didn't have to drive far to see some dinosaurs and learn a thing or two about them! I would recommend others to go and explore the Jurassic Forrest but make sure to bring bug repellent - you'll need it!!!

Matt Green

This is a fine attraction just outside of Edmonton. It is very educational with ample signage with an attractive and consistent style. If you plan to be there at meal time be sure to pack a picnic because the concession is fairly sparse.

Jeff Wise

I want sure what to expect, but I was really pleasantly surprised. Great outdoor experience for my son’s bday. Spent about 2.5 hrs there with lots of high quality animatronics to see. Will definitely go again.

Tyler Whalen

I have four kids and we always bring them around here when they get to be about 4 or 5. …

Caterina Vaduva

Always a blast to see the Dino's! Motion sensored dinos in the forest with info! Great for kids of most ages.

Samantha McGee

Everyone had a great time looking at the Dinosaurs. It wasn't too long of a walk for little legs, lots of place to sit and enjoy the scenery and listen to the animals of nature and of the Dino Exibit.

Roberta

Really fun walk through the woods with life like anamatronic dinosaurs that move and make sounds. The mosquitos were fine but I've been when they're bad so bring spray. Fairly affordable too.

Lyle W

Great place to take the little ones, robot dinosaurs and a large "jurassic playground" for them to play at the end.

Curtis B

It was lots of fun but a little pricey for the amount of time you actually spend there. Was able to see everything within an hour. Good for a weekend trip with the kids, but not a lot of going back value.

Olivia Daly

This pace was awesome! My 3 year old was so excited, especially when they would move and "talk" to him! Live that there's all kinds of information on the natural plant life and bugs in the region too! Was a very easy walk as well and ready to maneuver a stroller around.

Aurangozeb Fnu

Nice place to have an adventure with dinosaurs. There are two trails and while walking you will be trilled with moving dinosaurs and the sounds. Dinosaurs can only move trails, neck and eyes. But be careful with mosquitoes. Use mosquito repellent while visiting.

Sean Georget

Was a fun little day trip with the family. Kids loved it and got so excited every time we found a new dinosaur. Very reasonable price for 1.5-2 hrs of entertainment.

James Mason

Awesome walk in the woods at Jurassic Forest. Very well maintained and marked paths, excellent animatronics on the dinosaurs! Kids had an excellent time. Looks like fun Minigolf course too.

len

This place has lots to offer. Good for family and group of friends..partners to go and explore. It's a huge relaxing place to enjoy the scenery and a place for a picnic. Please do not forget to bring your mosquitoes repellant. Or wear long sleeves and jeans to avoid it. Always carry your water bottle and snacks on the side to eat while touring. The camera is necessary for your memories to capture. Highly recommended to explore.

Kathryn Adams

Amazing! I loved it just as much as the kids! So many trails and cool animatronic dinosaurs. We also had a great round of mini golf. Such a great family adventure!

Thomas Changarathil

This has been something I had been wanting to do at the behest of my little monkey who has been wanting to visit the dinosaurs. For the longest time, I had no idea that this place even existed, so when the opportunity came, I packed the …

Natalie Zmidz

Highly recommend it. Perfect for the little ones you have that are giant dinosaur fans. We had a great time! It is so well done...the staff was great...and everything there was just right for our family outing. Thank you so much and looking forward to adding this again to our roadtrips. (The nature lover in me appreciated that you added facts about the forest along with the dino facts)

Heather Speer

What a great place! Suitable for any age, completely stroller and wheelchair accessible, nice and shady because it's mostly in the trees. There was so much to look at! The antimatronic dinos look so real set in the forest. The plants are just as interesting to look at, and there are tons of signs with information on everything. The preschooler loved the play area at the end and playing scientist and sweeping off fossils in the sand.

Eve A

It was a great place to spend a day outside with the kids and grandma and grandpa. My son is obsessed with dinosaurs so this was a super exciting experience for him and I think my daughter turned out to be even more excited. It was pretty easy to social distance there and they have rules and recommendations in place (outlined on their website) I would have loved to try out the mini golf but the kids are too little. I would definitely do it again. Make sure you bring mosquito spray and a bug net for your stroller.

kearalee O'Dwyer

This is a great place to take your family! I have three boys and we will definitely go back. Every display has information to tell you everything you need to know. So not only is it fun it is also educational!

L S

I found the experience to be a little underwhelming. The kids enjoyed it, but this is definitely a one time visit for us. You can make your way through the park in about 45 minutes. It’s an easy and relaxing drive in from Edmonton. The price of admission was $45 for a family of 4; a little pricey for what you get. Inevitably, it’s something to do with the kids, and a fun way to pass an afternoon. What was most disappointing was the lack of ground maintenance and basic cleanliness. We must have stepped over 15-20 disposable masks, and you would see empty water bottles strewn in the grass on either side of the path. I understand that this is reflective of the ignorance of customers, not the establishment, but careless of the establishment not to take care of it. Traffic only moves one way, so it would be too easy to have a staff member walk through from one end to the other and upkeep the cleanliness of the place. It would go a long way. Especially in the climate that we live in currently. In my humble opinion, very different experiences, but this has nothing on Prairie Gardens in regards to price and what you get out of your afternoon.

Katherine Luknowsky

It is a wonderful place to take kids on a cool nature walk. Golf was closed when we were there but trails were beautiful. Just wish it was bigger! If you go more than twice per year, the family pass if worth it and very affordable. Not sure how often they update attractions as we have only been for one summer so far.

Scott Taylor

Awesome place to walk with the kids. For what it is, it's great. You're walking through the forest on a set path. So it's easy to keep track of the kids, and there's a lot of shade. That said, most of the points of interest are written on plaques, so the kids would rather run ahead and see the next thing. So harder to enjoy it as an adult, and get the full experience. I felt the price was a little steep for how long we were able to make it last. But it was a good time. I just don't think it'll be a regular trip given the costs.

Joyce Andre

Took our 2 yr old grandson....he loved all the big dinosaurs and the noise they made. The 2km boardwalk is great with lots of spots along the way to rest on benches. It also has a small playground that he loved.

Sean Bertoncini

Great experience from start to finish. Requires some maintainance but the staff make up for it with their charisma and charm. Had a LOT of fun and will definitely be going back someday.

Jonathan Hesje

Great way to spend an afternoon! There are 2 different trails you can walk along that feature the attractions. The animatronic dinosaurs and insects are great! They move and/or make noise as you walk by. There are constant interesting facts about the dinosaurs, insects and vegetation along the dirt/boardwalk paths. There is a basic concession stand to grab a bite to eat and a nice sitting area. There is a small playground with adorable small dinosaurs easily seen from the picnic tables. The one disappointment is the mini golf. It is lackluster and not in great shape. Otherwise definitely worth a visit!

Mariana

It was better than I thought. The dinosaurs are great. They can move and have Lots of details. The playground is a little bit ugly, but my daughter had so much fun. Also, stroller-friendly ????

Josh Mackintosh

Pretty good entertainment for kids. Two loops to do - the new dinos are stellar. The old ones are old! Expensive - only worth it if you can spend several hours!

Because there was 6 of us we are giving 30 stars Hubby and I took 4 of our grandkids ages 5 to 13. We all had a blast! Educational, entertaining and enjoyable. The 2 hour car ride to get there was minimal we look forward to our next visit the grandkids asked to come back tomorrow ????.

Evan Bamber

There was as much there as we were hoping for. My son really enjoyed the dinosaurs although there were far away from the trail system and at times I had to lift him up to see them. It would be great if they added some more dinosaurs and had something that was interactive for the kids.

Alexander Gavin

Great walk, very stroller friendly. Moving dinosaurs were great for the kids! Not all the dinosaurs had description plaques, which was a little disappointing (hence 4 vs 5 stars)... but at least they're always working to improve!
