Nice place to get away for a long weekend. There's camping, canoeing, biking and hiking at the park. If you like to take to the waters, there's plenty of space to pedal your canoe / kayak. You can bike out in some trails. A short hike gets you to a nice suspension bridge that looks over the valley. The park rangers / staff are friendly, and knowledgeable about what the park has to offer, like in most Canadian parks. The place is quiet (depends on your fellow campers, of course). I've camped here a couple of times. The washrooms are clean and well-lit. Not sure if this is true for all campsites, but the ones that I have used were not drive-in campsites. This was great because you didn't have to deal with vehicle noises while in your tent. There are small buggys that you can use to take your stuff from your car to the campsite. Firewood is available at the campsite. Firewood price is similar to other parks. You will need a small axe, as they do not have kindling. If you are going in late-spring / early summer, make sure that you check if the bugs are still around. A phone call to the park should help.

(Translated) Probably the most beautiful park of the SEPAQ, with hiking trails for all levels and with interesting features (suspended footbridge, helical staircase, the fire-guard tower in which you can climb). For those who do more than canoe or kayak, the possibilities are multiplied. You can easily spend 4 full days there! The park alone is worth the trip to Abitibi.

Hard to tell, it doesn't say anything on the website but I went today and everything was closed. The path to the welcome center wasn't shoveled so my guess is that it wasn't maintained since a lonnnng time.

Aaron Hogan

(Translated) I'm from Abitibi, but I haven't lived there for a long time. This park is a must when I return to the area. I love the suspension bridge trail. And the pots are impressive in their size.

This place is not for people who speak English. There was only one employee and he really helped is out. We had RV and paid 76$ for one night with 2 services(Electricity & Water). No mobile signals in area so download your map before you come in.

Roxanne Royer

(Translated) Superb park! Several trails available. Some accept dogs, some don't. The toilets and showers were very clean! Tent campsites looked beautiful! They were under the trees and each had their own parking lot with access to water nearby. We had vr access since our car was too big. The only regret about the place was that the vr area was a bit too out in the open, but otherwise it was peaceful and relaxing. (Original) Superbe parc!

Charles Ladouceur

(Translated) Beautiful park of the SEPAQ. The lake was beautiful and the service great. Apart from a small problem with the double kayaks, the experience was superb! I will go back there without worries! (Translated) We had a wonderful stay in one of the rustic camps. The winter landscapes are breathtaking, and the tranquility of the park makes it one of its greatest assets. (Translated) The camp facilities are good. Toilet, shower, access to water, etc. But the pitches have no view of the surroundings. The park is very ordinary and the prices are too high to be worth it. (Translated) Small campsite with access to the lake nearby ... The grounds are quite small in general but still quite intimate ... If you meet the park warden Véronique, say hello to her, it's the best! A true enthusiast who made this stay a 5 ⭐! We enjoyed the kayak trip on Lois Lake and the hike across it. Nice campground. Well taking care of, but if are looking for more rustic or wild not the place to go. Nice camping overall.

Catherine Fletcher

Loved it. Beautiful hike through the woods.

Sam Laporte

One of the great National Parks I've visited. There is so much to see and do, and all very organized and maintained. It's affordable and sure to entertain the young and not so young who enjoy a trek in the woods, some kayaking , camping, or who simply want to go for a swim!

Matt Marchand

Beautiful park.

Sébastien Clermont

(Translated) Very wide and beautiful trails! A superb suspension bridge! The map on paper given to the reception does not give enough details on the locations of the picnic areas. That would really be my only negative review for the place!

What a great park for getting away! We camped here for two nights in the Sablon camp ground. This campground has no water or bathroom facilities (just outhouses). We chose it as we were warned the others campgrounds had very clustered, non private sites. We were very pleased with the campground we chose. For the first night, we had the campground entirely to ourselves! No other sites were reserved. The outhouses were very clean and well maintained. There was a lake nearby great for watching wildlife. On the second night, another site was reserved, but the sites are well enough spaced that we had our privacy. Wood is provided. We hike "la traverse". It is a short 3km trail with a nice suspended bridge. Even thought it is short, there is lots to see on the trail. Keep an eye out for the beautiful gorges and rock formations towards the end! We also visited the beach at one of the other campgrounds. For about an hour, we had the beach to ourselves too! very quiet. Even as people started to show up, there was plenty of room for everyone. The water is COLD! But hey, it's Abititbi. Sand toys are provided for the kids and there is a cute playground. If you can make the drive, I highly recommend this place. Lots to explore. I which we would have had more time.

Martin Roy

Hassan Rezaee

Well... it’s pretty far from everywhere basically, but it’s well worth it. The staff were super nice and helpful. I had forgot my wallet there, they found it and mailed to my address at no cost! The park is not overcrowded, which is a Big plus. Apart from that the hiking trails are very beautiful, chances are you’ll see few animals too. Highly recommended if you’re in for a few hours drive up North. By the way, rent one of their chalets, it’s real nice!

Elena Turcanu

We were very excited to get a good trip and bath????????

Madyson Brisebois

(Translated) Kayaking over a distance of nearly 20 km on Lake Loïs was a very beautiful experience because of the calm waters allowing to be in communion with this irreplaceable natural heritage. Everything must be done to preserve it. Thank you to the actors who work to protect this beautiful environment. (Translated) Pretty park path difficult to walk because of the many rocks ... it is sad that the nearby toilet block is out of service because half a km to pee it is a bit far away ... the SEPAQ sometimes is not very responsive (Original) Jolie parc sentier difficile a marcher a cause des nombreuses roches...c est triste que le bloc sanitaire proche soit hors service car un demi km pour faire son pipi c est loin un peu ...la SEPAQ des fois ne sont pas très réactif

(Translated) Magnificent park, a must in Abitibi and worth the detour probably more than once! The trails are well laid out, quiet, and the views are incredible. One of my favorite SEPAQ! We made the trails of the traverse which goes on the famous suspended footbridge and the landscapes which give splendid views on the north of Abitibi and the lake the hedge, with the added bonus of an extraordinary helical staircase! Amir Jafari

It was full of wonders. We tried 3 trails each of them were unique. The service was very good. The washroom and bathroom were very clean. The nature is intact, quiet. I can not imagine more quiet than this. It worth the money and 700 km of travel. If you like quiet and more alone time south side of the park sound better to me.

Pierre Rosoux

(Translated) Not to be missed at any price. Postcards worthy of postcards (Original) A ne rater à aucun prix. Des décors dignes de cartes postales
