REVIEWS OF Mount Revelstoke National Park IN Revelstoke

Beautiful! A very easy "hike" is through the Giant Cedars boardwalk trail.

Shaun Guimond

I was pleasntly surprised by Mount Revelstoke National Park! It is possible to drive to the top, and once there you have a panoramic view of mountains everywhere. A river at the bottom of the mountain gives a nice contrast to the mountains. This creates beautiful pictures and unforgettable views. The hikes were great. We hiked to Meyers Lake and Eva Lake which amounted to about 16 km and was fairly easy. There are plenty of other trails for all ages. Bathrooms and garbages are plentiful. Highly recommend the park to anyone.

Dave Matchett

We did a hike during our first Mini-Honeymoon here. It was my spouses first time in the park and she was amazed at how beautiful it was. Well mapped trails and spectacular views. Bring water, and expect to feel the altitude so do not over exert if you are not used to it. Parking can be difficult, so try to arrive early. You can park beside the road near the top as the road is wide enough up there. We plan on going back and do a multi-night backing trip into Jade Lakes.

Craig N

23 June and you can only go halfway up You have fellow tourists but not that many. Pay your fee and ask a few questions. Hiking galore. Wildflowers roadside. Pristine sub Alpine experience

Lisa C

Really amazing fall colours on the entire drive up on the Meadows of the Sky Parkway. The park was closed at the Columbia lookout due to snow at the top. Mt. Revelstoke is one of the smallest park in Canada 260kms. Check out the Nels Nelson Ski Jump, Broken Bridge hike was a short 30mins hike in, Sorensen hike 2km and many more. Be sure to check out Skunk Cabbage and the Giant Cedar Boardwalk on the drive into Revelstoke. Both short and a sweet walk with photo ops and views.

Craft bierhaus has the best beer list ever!!!!! Allows kids Awesome menu Good music Clean. And clean bathrooms

Adrian Mandy

One of Canada's great national parks. We were lucky and arrived here when the alpine meadows were at peak bloom. The flowers only bloom for about two weeks in August. The fire tower lookout is an interesting relic from the past when wildfires were still spotted by humans. There are many easy trails at the summit here between stunning viewpoints that take you through the meadows. The staff, as at all the national parks I've been to, are friendly well informed and helpful. Bring warm layers, sunscreen, and bug spray.

Amazing place to visit for the incredible alpine hiking

Adam Newsome

Simply stunning.

Gabri “GabeStudio72” Pes

Not on the ordinary itinerary but quite surprising. Go there to get a touch a not a crowed park. You will not be disappointed.

Ondrej Sindar

Amazing views! Beautiful place. Will be definately coming back for backcountry kemping at Eva lake!

Afton Arlana C.

One of my favourite National Parks. The road up to the summit was closed so we parked and caught the summit trail along the way. The views from the top are lovely and the old fire lookout worth the short hike.

Laurel Neufeld

Eva Lake on Mt. Revelstoke is one of my favourite places. It's a unique and beautiful hike to the lake. Well worth the time.

ki suk suh

Fun place with nice view!

Sylvia Harms

So many horse flies and lack of parking on top made it hard to enjoy. Ski jump was really interesting and enjoyed the lower trails. So close to town it is easy to access

Muneeb Dogar

Meadows in the Sky is a must but you need to trail some 1.5 kms from hey bear country once you are on the top. Best for groups

Marzieh Kamali

Beautiful, only issue was that some part a of the park were closed when we visited on May.

mandi mo

Loved it will def be back to hike some of the trails. Nice look out points of your not into hiking, picnic areas

N N

Beautiful summit walks with wildflowers and sub alpine trees. Weather is changeable so be prepared.

Justin Wiley

beautiful park! took a drive up in August and saw some really nice wild flowers!

Josh Timm

Awesome resort, lift lines don't feel to long. Terrain isn't to varied but the tree runs are wicked of you're an expert rider.

Sébastien Martin

Jade Lakes hiking is worth all the pain.

Addy levadoux (pixiestix42)

Beautiful views and a variety of hikes ranging from easy to challenging. Be weary of bears in the fall season and come prepared.

Alan Semon

My wife and I came upon this park on a cross-Canada trip decades ago. Heard the alpine meadows were in bloom and decided to settle in for a couple of days. It was late summer, August I think, and the flowers were magnificent, but the biting black flies were horrendous! Still, beautiful park and great views.

Iris Ph

Such a gorgeous place. There are many great spots to hike but we were out of time so we just dropped by and admired the beauty of it. We will definitely come back and do a day trip or camp overnight next time.

A Pleunac

The lady at the greeting building was a sweetheart and so helpful and the views were nice BUT be aware that you are no longer allowed to bring your dog (our visit was Aug 2021) even if they are to be kept in the car—their smell and possible barking can bring in grizzly bears. So in saying that you still have to pay the full amount of $20 to drive into the park but you only get to drive up a VERY windy 13 km and there’s really not much to see. You are not allowed to go up the 26 km to the summit with dogs and see all the wildflowers and heritage building and get to the prime hiking spots and scenic viewpoints. So that was really disappointing after driving 2 1/2 hours with our two chihuahuas. We were in and out of the park in less than 30 minutes as there are only 2 places to stop in the first 13 kms and they arent much.

simon mark pannell

It is a remarkable place. The hick to the peek looks like a must do. Don't forget the bug spray ????. I think there is a tour bus at the parking lot.

Janice Poirot

We did this hike/ visit on an impulse while passing through the area and so glad we did. As you drive up, beautiful views begin tempting you to stop at turnouts on the way up. Once you're on top, you walk a mile or so to reach the summit - which is glorious in all directions. If you have 2+ hours or so, just do it! So worth it!

Chelsea Schroth

Nothing short of spectacular for views, but wouldn’t expect anything less of Revelstoke. The signs in the park at the trailheads need to be better marked. Gives zero indication on how many KM or difficulty on any sign. The guide at the beginning said their was a QR code as we get into the park to view a map…couldn’t find a single QR code. Very steep on all trails I would assume, so be prepared.

Daniel Kyle

A great outdoors adventure! Check out the ski jump!

Caitlynne “Cat” Grey

This park is absolutely gorgeous, with amazing views all the way up the parkway. Unfortunately we came a bit too early in the season (late June) to see the meadow at the top, but that's just more encouragement to come again in August. Upkeep for the park is great and the rangers we did encounter were very pleasant and helpful. Can't wait to come back and explore more!

Belinda Waters

The Meadows in the Sky Parkway was amazing. Stop at the panoramic view look out near the top. It's amazing.

Dina Lee

Lovely fall drive, great lookout points, road closed at point D (Columbia) due to snowfall. Broken bridge was a nice easy trail for small kids.

Angel Armamento

Beautiful views during the summer with the wildflower blooms

Alesha slasynski

Was beautiful! We'll be back in the with Ter for some boarding! Just wish there was more of an established village to hang out in. Lots of hotels but not as many shops or restaurants as I had hoped. Although it is very close to town! So not far from anything anyways

Jeff Lukan

Really fun drive if you like cornering and when you're done you can explore the top of the mountain on multiple trails leading to some very beautiful views.

Aleph DeLucchi

Really nice walk, even out of season. The scenery is breathtaking and the trails well maintained. Going back when the park is active is now on my bucket list.

Denis Willems

Wonderful spot. Access via hike, bike, or car. The historic ski jump has all types of hiking trails around up to historic plaques talking about the history and significance to ski jumping in the interior of bc. At the base you will find a toddler bike park. All kinds of hikes with amazing views and history. We saw all kinds of wildlife including a grizzly bear.

Andrea Zoppo (Ms. Ladybug)

Lots of sweet little hikes and beautiful breathtaking views. A must and easy stop to spend a few hours.

Krystle Raymond

Wasn't worth the money as a camper. The site I reserved had no indication that privacy was completely absent. Also I found a plastic bag tied to a tree with a scant bit of water in the bottom and picked wildflowers inside. I didn't remove it due to covid19. It shows that other patrons of the park do not know the rules on disrupting wildlife. Maybe education needs to be stepped up here??

Pizza Samurai

Such a gorgeous and beautiful place in BC. Highly recommend doing a stop here if you're travelling across BC... The community is nice and small. Wonderful place to explore and gather good memories from. This place is both wonderful in the summer and winter time.

Alexander Westerman

This is a small National Park in British Columbia. The entrance is reached just off Highway 1 outside of the town. The drive to the summit is approximately 12 miles and winds up the mountain with many stops with interpretive signs. At the top there are trails that can be walked and the views are wonderful. At the lower entrance level there are trails and the new exhibit of the historic ski jump. Also for the adventurous it is possible to hike up the mountain instead of driving up the road. Depending on the time of year it may not be possible to reach the summit because of residual winter snow, but in June the meadows at the summit are full of alpine flowers.

goran babic

Great scenery, snowforest campground is awesome

jANsON Potato.

A beautiful National park with excellent sightseeing spots

Christopher Best

A true gem. Easy trails and stunning views make this a must see if you are going to be in the area.

Mike Thomas

This National Park has some of the most easily accessed alpine trails in BC. With the Meadows in the Sky Parkway taking you to within a kilometer of the summit, the 26km drive that winds through the varied (including an inland rainforest) ecosystems is spectacular. With hikes for all ages and abilities, this has something for everyone and you can't miss the "Nels Knickers" interpretive display at the top of the ski jumps.

David Stewart

Stunning peak, the only high summit you can easily access as thete is a well surfaced road which after a 30 minute drive takes you to within 1k of the summit. A lovely trail takes you to the top and its extensive trail network. And if you can't make that, there's a shuttle bus.

Shaun S

Everything closed including gates but not the ones leading from the highway. Waste of time.

David Běhal

Really nice park, we cannot get to the top, the last part of the road was closed, however there are lot of trails also in lower parts of the mountain.

K.A.S. Grewal

Awesome place Meadows In The Sky

Don Mix

This place is fantastic with killer views around every bend. Your car does most of the work to get to the top. Get out of your car and bring a good camera. Well worth the entry fee.

Eric L Gunderson

Newly built campground. Not fully open but nice. The 'snow forest' located just outside Revelstoke.

Dan S

You will drive up a winding, seemingly infinitesimal road to be welcomed by swarms of ravenous bastard horseflies that will furiously gouge your skin and lap your hot tasty slurpee saturated blood while scoffing at your pathetic plutonium-enriched Deep Woods Off or that overpriced useless ginseng-and-lavender-laced organic countermeasure you bought at the local vitamin shoppe and forgot in your car for two years but found now because you were so desperate that you emptied the entire car looking for it. Whatever blood or unclaimed patch of skin-buffet you DO have left over is reserved for the wafting clouds of anemic mosquitoes - made puny from the lack of intravenous scraps left over from their larger, angrier, violent-er counterparts. It'd be easy to underestimate them when you're being bombarded by the endless legions of brain dead suicidal horseflies, but make no mistake - they're just as hungry and brainlessly suicidal in their quest to empty the contents of your now-leaky vessels into their bottomless guts in order to reproduce into thousands more clones of their wretched selves. The difference is that they're just silent while going about their disgusting business. Despite this, the whole way down after reaching the summit you will be scratching your swollen, cratered skin and be thinking about how much the trip was absolutely worth it. ---- Pro tip: If you're coming from Banff/Yoho/wherever on the same day (or two?), you can use that same national park pass here as well to save a few bucks. Just keep driving by the guard gate as if you owned the place even if they try and stop you. No don't actually do that. You'll get shot with a bear tranquilizer or something. Pro tip #2: The final excursion to the summit involves catching a free van ride to the top with a bunch of stinky sweaty rich people probably from Calgary or Kelowna, don't worry, they'll let you know. It's nice up at the very top but if you're a big fat lazy jackwagon like me and not going to tromp around much, there's no amazing view or vantage point without some sort of thin-air-sucking hike first. The slight increase in altitude would also appear to make the horseflies even more thick and mad and reckless but I'm not a horseflytologist so I'm just speculating. You might want to skip it if you're already being eaten alive at a lower elevation. Pro tip #3: The numerous vantage points on the drive up is where the magic is. Stop at every one and enjoy their relatively insect free beauty because you're not going to see views like this anywhere else in the area, no, not even at darling Lake Louise. (Unless your idea of a nice view is seeing phone screens raised in the air in front of you and the backs of tourist heads bobbing around ... hey maybe you're an Instragram-loving armchair lice inspector, I have no idea, I'm not judging, whatever makes you happy.) Pro Tip (?) #4: Depending on where you're from, you might call horseflies "clegs", "gad-flies", "stouts", "breeze-flies", or some other fancy name that I looked at Wikpedia for just now. Whatever. Like a bunch of jerks they ALL relish in irony, and the irony is that in Canada everything's supposed to be polite and pleasant and peaceful but make no mistake - they absolutely *hate* you and your terrier and your precious little children named Olivia and Mason and would kill you and all that you love if they only had bigger bodies and maybe some arms to hold you down with while slowly draining your life force and staring at you with their big, black, soulless murder-eyes. Heck, they might even actually be friendly horseflies and I misjudged them; consult with an horseflytologist first if it somehow matters to you. Look, I don't know. All this is just speculation, their motives are unclear. Pro Tip #5: I am not a professional. These are not 'pro' tips. They're not even really tips, they're just me spending a morning drinking coffee and indulging in some creative quiet time, procrastinating about cleaning the stairs that I said I would clean.

Daniel B

A pretty underappreciated park when you compare it to surrounding areas. We had a few great days here and are looking forward to coming back.

Andy Aras

MAGIC! Absolutely stunning to visit when the flowers ( Meadow in the Sky), are blooming. The sight of these meadows will make any sourpuss smile! Plenty of mosquitoes so come prepared with repellent. Definitely worth a stop on any roadtrip.

Bernie Donoghue

Pristine camping. Sites are a little too close together but well laid out. Washrooms and showers are excellent.

Keenan Moon

This is such a gorgeous park! Just go, you won't regret it

Alan Turnbull

Amazing view's and refreshing air

dejager420

Stunning area/views with lots to do for all age ranges.

Shihao Li

Beautiful places. You can driVe almost to the mountain top which will you lots of energy.

Shuning Yang

I visited here last summer. Its beautiful scenery surprised me a lot.

Melissa Baatz

Very pretty views and decent hikes. Saw a marmot on the road. Unfortunately it rained and we had to leave early. They do have a shuttle which is nice. Specific RV parking too.

Gary Mattie

Great views, mountain's trees and past slides

Anjali Pradhan

Beautiful park. Stunning views. Hiking is accessible for people of levels. Will return as soon as i can!

Ian Jolicoeur

We were here September 2017. What a beautiful spot! Definitely take the time and drive to the top and do some hiking! Be careful, we saw a grizzly bear! Place is safe, lots of park rangers around and the beauty of nature here is absolutely remarkable! The hiking is fantastic!

Hooman Rezaei

Amazing view and hiking trails!

Stephen Hubbard

Enjoyed a morning cycling to the top of Mt. Revelstoke. Plenty of view points to stop and rest on the way up. On the day I summited the top parking lot was closed to vehicle traffic (June 30) so call ahead to find out what conditions are like to avoid disappointment.

Benjy Leach

The great outdoors never comes better than this. Fantastic little town with everything you need. Skiing, Boarding, Mountain Biking an walking all within the area. It's a must vist if you are in BC.

WILL Schultz [Del Sol HS]

What a unique and wonderful place! My girlfriend and I went to the top but didn't stay long as we heard there was a grizzly bear closeby. Very cool and easy walks to explore the in-land rainforests that are in Mount Revelstoke National Park!

Tim

Revelstoke is a must see if traveling nearby. One does not need to be an expert hiker to enjoy this park. Small bus takes you up to the top and a few short trails can give you great views of the area.

Ron Bernhard

Amazing views! Beautiful paved road to the top. Viewing sites are just off the road, so very easy access and have picnic tables and /or benches. A must for site seeing, for tourists and locals alike.

Scott Ballingall

Revelstoke itself is a jewel of the Columbia. Mount Revelstoke is one facet of that jewel.Must see in my opinion

Florian Offergelt

Great pace of nature with nice and easy hikes

Tiffany Pitts

Not sure I'm qualified to rate an entire National Park. What am I supposed to say, Nice view? That seems a bit disingenuous.

Aitor Movil

Beautiful and impressive. Totally worth it. The summit was close due to weather conditions

Jennifer Jaw

We visited on June 21st, and on that particular day, the Meadows in the Sky Parkway was only open for the first 20 of the 26 km due to heavy snow. Unfortunately, there was also heavy rain, but the drive is beautiful nevertheless.

Annemieke Waite

Beautiful, but right now they're tracking a Grizzly Bear so you can only go half way up into the park. Will stay part closed till Wednesday or Thursday this week. Still worth it though!

Georgie Thorne

Beautiful drive! Shame it was raining when we visited but I will definitely want to return to see the flowers!

Ian Rice

Amazing park with some great little hikes up the meadows in the sky parkway.

Darryl Cancelliere

Always great. Totally upsetting the locals CAN'T get an early bird price to visit local parks.

Dallas Beahm

Very nice views after the Upper Summit walk.. Worth the trip.

Mark Bullock

If you're already this far into the mountains then this review is useless. If you're planning a trip, honestly, anywhere that has a road in this part of BC is going to be spectacular, both in driving and in hikes and picnics. If you are driving, do yourself a service and maximize your daytime travel, so you can see the giants around you.

maky mp

Beautiful place and water is soo cold :-)

L E

One of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. We drove to the parking lot and walked the rest of the way to the summit instead of taking the shuttle. It was a gentle enough walk and took a short time to get to the top. There are numerous other hiking trails on the mountain, and when we reached the top there were lovely trails of different levels of difficulty. The views are incredible! I highly recommend visiting it!

Nasa Rouf

magnificent views. fun drive up the mountain. cool hikes at the top.

Jamie Lind

Always a beautiful set of trails to hike on with magnificent views along the way. As the flowers continue to bloom in the Alpine it only makes it that much more captivating to be up there. If you're in Revelstoke should try and make this a stop, does not have to be limited to the Meadows in the Sky (which leads to Eva, Miller and Jade lake pass) but there are many other trails and stops along the National Park that are worth visiting.

Scott M.

Revelstoke is gorgeous, but much of it (outside of the ski hill) is inaccessible in the Winter. Still, a wonderful part of the Rocky Mountain National Parks!

Laetitia Herrmann

Beautiful park with amazing views, even on a rainy day. The 26 km drive to the top is nice and the road is in good condition. Limited parking space for cars though in the P2. A shuttle takes you for the last km (or you can also walk) to the top. Many walks to chose from there, from short and easy to long and difficult! Friendly staff at the gate, shuttle and parking lots!

William Piche

We visited the Giant Cedar board walk while staying near Revelstoke. We've never seen trees this big, really makes you feel small. The Giant Cedars are a definite must see! We then visited Meadows in the Sky Parkway, the car ride up is something you don't get to experience often, zigzagging as you continue to drive up the mountain side. Once you get to the parking lot you can choose to hike different trails, we hiked to the summit to see some breath-taking views from the North Parapet lookout. Parks Canada offers a shuttle ride back to the parking lot after if you need it (no charge). There is so much more to see, wish we could have spent more time to explore.

Kalash Yadav

Beauty of Nature, that will remain in heart. ????

Craig Smith

I wish we had views like this in Alberta.

Antonio Martinez Illan Martinez Illan

We were there in July, it's a great place to hiking with children. The Park staff were really kind, if you have the chancer, arrive to Eva Lake.

LeRoy Cassidey

We visited five NP in the area and liked this one the best. Nice trails village interesting and vibrant.

arlin wang

Scene in the summit is gorgeous, but can't appreciate the signs where can not even compare with Most the provincial parks. We encountered a snow storm after noon time, temperature dropped rapidly. We struggled back from Miller Lake, and stuck in the Heater Lake loop for half a hour.

Kamlesh Parmar

Mount Revelstoke National Park is located adjacent to the city of Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada. The park is relatively small for a national park, covering 260 km2 (100 sq mi). It is located in the Selkirk Mountains and was founded in 1914. Approximately 600,000 visitors enter Mount Revelstoke and nearby Glacier National Park each year.

Ryan Saucier

Only reason it’s not 5 Star is comparing it to ice field parkway. Very nice small park.

Olivia Stewart

Awesome place! We started snowshoeing on a trail off the road below the mountain, found a derelict building, kept going and found the entrance of the park. Great switchback trails through the bush. After a snowfall, this can be a difficult trail. I would have loved to go all the way to the top of the mountain but we were not prepared for that. Next time, for sure!

David Presson

The drive up was beautiful with expansive overlooks. I visited before all the snow had melted so only part of the route was open. I want to return on day to see the rest!

Michelle Haddad

We did a fantastic half day hike from about 2/3 of the way up to the top of the mountain. I highly recommend not driving all the way up - there are some really beautiful trails and very helpful park staff eager to help anyone with questions. Highly recommend!

Shree Latha

Couldn't do lots bcoz it was raining and the summit was closed. But such a beautiful place. Going there again

Timtwoface (Timtwoface)

Beautiful views from all angles on the drive up to the Meadows in the Sky

Erik de Groot

Fantastic views and flowers but bugs are a bit too annoying to get the full 5 stars.

Erin Miller

Everyone should visit this great NP! It's in the World's only inland temperate rainforest, so bring rain gear, as you may need it. The drive up the 26km Meadow's in the Sky Parkway is stunning. At the top, there are multiple day hiking and backpacking options all of which end up in breath taking locations. Park is open May to October. On seperate occassions we have hiked to Miller and Eva Lakes (7.1km one-way), and to the Jade Lakes (9.4 km one-way). There is backcountry camping by permit at Eva Lake and Jade Lake. Permits can be obtained at the Park Entrance.

Richard

it's really long drive to go top, and it's really beautiful view on the top, and nice trail.

Cole Williams

Beautiful views and a wonderful drive up

Kyle Brosseuk

One of the most readily accessible parks, this is an awesome stop to really see the beauty of the Columbia Valley. Paved all the way to the top, with perfect viewpoints of Revelstoke all along the way. Meadows In The Sky is a great afternoon walk in the alpine. Wildflowers everywhere. For a bit bigger hike, the Jade and Eva Lake trails are stellar.

james ens

Great scenery, wonderful environment. Wildlife is evident

Keegan Woods (OTheChupacabraO)

So much fun!

Sharla Jablonski

Beautiful stunning place!! Landscape; scenic views and alpine trees/ wilderness such a prestine place l9vely smell of freshness and earth/ nature absolutely loved it there!????????????⛰????

Don Ewart

Nice, well kept multi-season park.

wade mcg

Always a beautiful place to visit. We were early in the season, so the road was only open half way, but beautiful nonetheless. Can't wait to go back in August when the flowers are in full bloom.

Tristin Turner

Amazing place for hiking beautiful trails

Johnson Kanagaraj

Mount Revelstoke National park is in British Columbia , Canada , near the city of Revelstoke. It is located in the Selkirk mountains in Providence of British Columbia , Canada. There you have hiking trails , ski jump facilities , panoramic views , rainforest with ample choice for you to choose from for a pleasant stroll. You can view trees which are colossal like the cedar , fir etc which are available in very few places around the world. This is a place where everyone stands to gain.

SeFok Chan

Small national park but worth a visit on the way to Banff. Spending half a day is enough. The best way to enjoy it is to drive to the summit area and take short walks there.

Loni D

Beautiful scenery, vigorous hikes and helpful parks staff. I enjoyed my experience thoroughly.

Chad Hagel

Beautiful hike to Eva lake.

Peter Weßling

Many outstanding Trails

amy neal

The drive up to the top is spectacular! We did this drive in mid July and the wildflowers lining the road were beautiful. There were many hikes available along the way up, it was not congested with tourists, and parking was available in the middle of the day at the top. There was also a free shuttle up and down for those not able to make the short uphill hike to the summit. I would highly recommend this park and the sky meadow parkway for anyone who would like to enjoy the Canadian Rockies without crowds and with light to no hiking.

Rob Brown

Absolutely amazing place for hiking, the place is very scenic and beautiful. a good place to visit.

Edmund Woo

Drive up the summit and get a beautiful panorama of mountain ranges and revelstoke Town

Craig

First week of August when the flowers are blooming is the best! Seriously great park with awesome hikes.

Frenny S

Not the biggest national park, but one with very much diversity. A 26 km long road takes you to the top of the mountain. There are lots of viewpoints along this road. The last km to the summit you can take a short hike or take a complementary bus. You still have to walk a short trail to the actual summit. At the top are a variety of hikes (short, long, easy, difficult). When I was there a bear was spotted in the area.

Janic Vachon

The accessibility to get to meadows of the sky worth all the time to get up there by car. There is plenty of views up there and the hike to the lakes, that can be a little exhausting, worth all the efforts.

Jared Clarke

Great spot to spend a day.

Kevin Willoughby

Loved the hiking and the preservation of the ski jumps great hike great experience also the bicycle course for the kids is a great bonus

Quinn Shea-stayko

It was a great place for a family trip, it was nice a tidy no grabage all over the place

Linda Wesseler

Lovely Alpine Meadows area affords easy access to peak views, though smoke from wildfires obscured them while we were there.

Tim Connors

Most of the trails were closed due to bears unfortunately. Also a lot of files. Some nice views though.

Chris Bird

You will never see anything like it anywhere else, ever.

Nofar Ziv

Beautiful park! We loved the beautiful but not crowded nature. Ww stayed at Revelstoke campground, it was great with clean showers and toilets.

Robert Kohan

Mountain drive on clear morning is beautiful! VISTAS on top are breathtaking framed with millions of Canadian wildflowers!

Thomas Leuenberger

This was a nice trip. We did a long hike and had a wonderful time. It took longer than written, but because of the snow. We missed to see the Bear. But maybe better...

Jennifer D

Had a lovely hike to Eva Lake and Miller Lake today. It was a bit smoky but seemed better the higher we went. The hike is rated moderate but we think it’s on the easier side of moderate. Still a good workout. Beautiful wildflowers, saw a couple of Marmots in the boulder fields and saw a Grizzly at the end of our hike in the summit area 1 km from the end. It was not at all aggressive. What an amazing experience. So glad we did this hike today.

Ted Stonecliffe

Beautiful drive and wonderful hike to the summit; wonderful mountain view s

ashleigh bolton

Breathtaking, beautiful hiking spot with a great view

Brian Kuzemchuk

Well worth the hike to Miller lake and will be back to explore!

Daniel Redford

Wish to entire road had been cleared of snow. Beautiful sights.

B

The bottom of the park at the entrance is about 1700 feet elevation and the parking lot is about 6000 ft elevation. The drive is not too steep for a mountain climb. Bottom temperature was 65F and top was 52F on July 6, 2019. The hiking trail from parking lot was a little wet and muddy but not enough to mess up your shoes. There were patches of snow and the bugs were more than plentiful. We sprayed with big spray and no one got bit. Watch if you breath through your mouth open as mosquitoes may fly in. The last shuttle from the top neck down to parking left the top at 5pm. Otherwise it is 25-30 minutes back tracking down the path. Well worth the trip.

Krystal Major

No grizzly sighting but we weren't far! Gorgeous hike to Miller lake today.

Debra Hayward

The Skunk Cabbage Boardwalk wad awesome. Learned of birds and frogs and plants native to this area and conservation efforts. The boardwalk is very well made on an interesting trail by the river park. Good bathrooms and cookhouse at trailhead.

Taylor Dueck

Gorgeous views of the river amazing hiking trails

Robert Houde

Awesome place for a day hiking and sight seeing.

Katrina Walls

Beauty of a drive! Recommend to stop and take a hike!

Stan Liu

Lots of mosquitoes. Don't forget to tske the free Parks Canada bus from parking lot #1 up yo the top. Still got some snow up there in July so could be slippery.

Fritz Levesque

Some of the most amazing views in the world!

Kelsie

Awesome! The wildflowers were incredible!!

Chris Watton

What a great place to visit. I love the small quaint town with everything that you need. It's not too busy here, and everyone is super friendly. It's a great park, there are some really cool areas to visit. Cycling up the meadows in the sky Parkway is a great challenge, and there are some great hikes in the area. We will be back soon!

Thomas Linnemann

Nice place for a picnic and lots of short and long hikes from the parking lot near the summit of Mt. Revelstoke. Small fee for using the Parkway but the views are well worth it.

It looks fantastic but for some reason they closed the road half way up (late May 19). We parked up then walked past the vehicle barrier to the next viewpoint on foot and the road was completely clear. Seemed a bit silly.
