Outstanding place to learn and play. Great for kids, whole family event. Clean and well maintained.
Nice place, good for kids but not very interactive for adults without kids. Seems like a great place for your kid birthday party or just if you’re looking for a weekend activity. After you can go for a walk around the lake as well. You can find free parking lot at the place.
Been going here since i was a kid and even as an adult me and my friends love going to the science center its always nice checking in every couple of yesrs or so to see whats changed.
It aint no Telus world of science but we sure got our money's worth. Interactive exhibits and a great educational place to take your family.
Fascinating place for bringing 4 to 12 year olds. Seemed very hot in the building.

For kids this is a great experience and learning
Tons of great things to see and do. Went here with my niece and nephew years ago and checked out a lego exhibit as well as just going with friends to check it all out. Now, I have kids of my own and will be bringing them here when we travel back to Regina.
Plan to stay later, because playing in the outdoor playground is really fun!
Saskatchewan Science Center is an amazing place kids really enjoy even adults too .We got membership of Saskatchewan Science Center it's really worth paying that amount .You can go multiple times in a year. Every alternate month Science Center offers different exhibitions where we can enjoy and play. Right now video games theme is really interesting and it's enjoyable.
Very interesting and engaging exhibits. Some of the older exhibits could definitely stand to be updated/replaced.
Not worth going during covid. Even to the joy lab. Should be cheaper.
There is nothing to do there. It is just 3 floors of airconditioned space and all you can expect is a table with a bucket of plain basic rectangular Lego bricks. Very few scientific installations and most of them were broken. So, if you want to escape a heat for a short while then go to this museum but if you are after a real scientific experience for yourself or your kids - you better stay away, watch a few youtube videos on science and keep your money.
The Saskatchewan Science Center is a pretty fun place and I think kids will always have a good time here. I took my 9 and 6 year olds and they had a blast. That being said, from an adults perspective, the center is starting to get stale and dated, there are less and less displays and features every year and the cost is too high. By comparison the Royal Saskatchewan Museum has admission as a voluntary donation, is better maintained and has better exhibits.
This place was one of my favorites. From when I was a kid to an adult taking my little cousins there. Unfortunately the exhibits have aged drastically and several of them do not work. The events they have on display are amazing though when they come! And the shows they put on are always amazing especially for the kids! The place just needs some needed updating.
Pretty much total brain damage
It was aweful, what a rip off
Great learning and a good place for all ages
Body exhibit is great for adults. The rest of the center is geared for kids
Great place, awesome for kids with two floors of activities, shows and an IMAX, The only issue is that some exhibits, having been overused, need some TLC.
Lots for the kids to do, some displays need a bit of repair, not operational. Body World exhibition impressive.
Super friendly staff and the museum itself is filled with several amazing displays. A perfect place for you to take your kids to for an outing.
It is only something for smaller kids.
Needs some maintaining. Disappointed.
Fun place for kids, and nice green space outside to play and run around.
Good place to take kids. But it really is just for kids. An education playground. If you have little ones, it's great for that purpose.
My kids (and I) love this place. A great place to stretch the imagination and learn. There is an imax here as well which screens both imax movies/documentaries as well as movies such as Star Wars 7 which were filled with imax.
Always fun.
The exhibits and condition of the building has seen better days.
Nice little science centre. Great for little kids.
Seemed ok, hopefully the other 2 floors will open soon.
Lots of fun and interesting things to see here. It's been a long time, but I checked the place out recently and was pleased with the new stuff they added, like the bee simulator. Their new arcade style video games make learning somewhat fun, though I wish they designed them a little better (the games feel a little unresponsive and aimless). They've still got all the classics, like the smell tester, spinning animation thing, and hot air balloon. The bubble thing wasn't working too well when I was there - too much of the liquid splashed out. A couple other things were also temporarily out of order.
Quite small but an amazing place spend the day exploring and let the little ones discover the marvels of science.

Very cool place for basic scientific adventure s, we had lots of fun there
Kids very much enjoyed it. Lots to see and interact with.
The place is getting run down and could use some renovations on the exhibits as I noticed it’s getting quite filthy and things are breaking. The staff greeted us with happy smiles and had a marvellous attitude. The parking lot is small though but the playground is great too
The feature exhibit was pretty weak, aimed at selfie lovers... BUT most of the galleries were great! Easily spent 3 hours here and could have spent longer. A few things were out of order, but not a big deal with so much going on. Loved the bubble area, the agriculture area and seeing random animals around like the owl and the turtle. Didn’t go to an imax but that was a plus too! Parking was easy, close and free!
Everything is old and broken! More than half the exhibits don't work. Really a sad excuse for a science center, especially when you travel a ways to come. I ????
I remember coming here with a school group about 10 years and then again to watch Avatar in the IMAX! Which I hope to see Avatar2 in IMAX here again it was very random to go to as a kid and wasn’t expecting it but it’s been my favourite movie since really magical experience. Then went there again as 17. It wasn’t as magical but that’s only because I’m older. But now. I await the day I have kids and can take them there myself!
A great place for science.
Had a fun time at the Science Centre with my 2 year old niece. Very much appreciate that the mask requirement has been kept, would not have gone otherwise. Science FTW.
This place is great! Mainly if you have kids because the things are designed to growth the curiosity of kids and learn more about many areas: Biology, geology, physics, mathematics, etc. Is an obligate place to visit during your time in Regina!
We had an awesome time building lego today!
One of the best destinations with repeatable value in Regina. Great for the whole family.
Great place to bring the kids when visitinf the city. Lots to do to keep the kids entertained. But as an adult you notice quite a bit of the exhibits dont work. Could use some maintenace. But still fun and educational.
The science centre was fantastic, there's a lot of great interactive displays and information. Big shout out to Abigail working in the technology area, she was awesome and made the experience one to remember!
During this covid-era, summer 2021, they are limiting you to 75 minutes in the science center. Honestly, it was underwhelming. Dated exhibits that were only mildly interactive at best. The hockey area and Kevin(I think that was his name) who demonstrated on how computer programming works, were easily the highlights of the day. The joy lab is mostly good for photo opportunities and the Lego exhibit is a bunch of tall towers made from Lego that you can't touch with buckets of Lego on the tables. For a family of 4, cost us around $75. That included the Imax presentation, Into Nature's Wild. It was great but only lasted 30 minutes. All in all not an awful way to spend the day, but keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed.
It is disappointing when we visit Science Center to find many of the Exhibits are not working or balls are missing, etc. Very disheartening and we are Members. Expect bettter.
Very interactive for new visitors. I would only go if I am going with someone who has never been there before because almost everything has been there for years on end. All of there shows are the same and repetitive. Really need to update everything.
Always a great bunch of staff working! Lots of hand sanitizer stations!
Very nice place for kids to enjoy
Best Science Centre in Saskatchewan. :)
Very educative and fun. The play structures are built to teach kids science. ????. The Science Centre is around Wascana Park. There are lush open fields and bike tracks around. Good place to learn and relax.
We were in the city for the Hypothermic Half-Marathon and decided to visit the centre with our 2 year old. As adults, there was plenty of interesting things to look at and learn, and our toddler was also engaged at every section. Our favorite sections were the oTentik, hockey and the farm! Wonderful afternoon of discovery and learning!
This is a great place for kids to learn basic science, as well as some advanced science. However, on my visit this summer (July 2019), about 15% of items where out-of-order/not-fully-functional, either broken, or missing pieces. If you're planning to go there, make sure to check their opening hours before visiting the place. They also have some shows through the day, so check the schedule of the shows as well. Also, be prepared to stay long; we spend 5.5 hours in the place the first time we went there! In July and August 2019, they have a exhibit called JoyLab! Don't miss it, it's gorgeous, and would definitely cheer you up!
Too bad. I like the place but im here with a baby and washroom smells cant even go inside. Have family visiting from Vancouver and they say they are not impressed. Half the exhibits dont work.
Loved our visit! Creative and innovative. Clean and well organized. Joy lab was a delight at every turn!
Closed but the park is nice for the kids
Bro, do it. It's a willy wonka house of science and technology. Absolutely brilliant experience and a great way to make learning, and the world, more interesting. I'd say it's a must see in this city.
love the displays amazing climbing wall
Great place to take the kiddo's to burn off some steam and also engage their minds! The annual family membership is a great deal and doesn't take long to get your money's worth out of it!!
All fun
Great fun for kids and adults
Great place to learn and have fun with your kids.
Really disappointing for the money you pay there isn't many things to do and what is there mostly doesn't work correctly. Also with the time slot thing there is to many people and people don't keep any distant. Won't be back.
This place is really fun. I can tell this place is old because they still have there CRTs. Now that's how you know that the place is old.
Spent a weekend sleeping at the science centre when I was younger. Now that I am an adult, I still go to enjoy science centres! Every child should have an opportunity to experience science and experiments in a fun atmosphere.
Always a fun time!
I remember going here for the first time when I was in grade 5. I love it. The IMAX part I first visited when Avatar was playing. It's now my favourite movie. When Avatar 2 comes out, I'm watching it there!!
We were here 2 years ago and the sound didn't work in the tractor and the gyroscope wasn't working. Same experience today. Wish you would put some time and effort into keeping the things operational. Great place to bring children but would be nicer if kept operational.
Awesome lots of cool stuffs you should also go there I recommend it
Glad they open again. They still require you to book in advance and it looks like they are doing a lot of renovations and updating
Great for schools in field trips.
Awesome!!! Goat see it again kids loved it!!
Aside from the short (75m), pre-booked time-slots causing a bit of a rush through the centre, the exhibits and interactivity was amazing for kids. Our family looks forward to visiting again once more restrictions are lifted.
Lack of parking is a problem here, but could be resolved with additional visitor spots by the main entrance. Lots of cars were circling looking for a spot during normal operating hours.
Price would be more reasonable if you weren't paying admission for dust and filth. Don't get me wrong, I love the nostalgia of this place. Have gone many times over the years since back with elementary school trips. But now that I am a parent, comparing the cost with what is has to offer lately doesn't make me want to come back any time soon. For one, Why bother having a live animal room anymore? Interactive exhibits need more maintenance so that the vibe isn't one screaming "you and your kids may get sick from touching this" Overall it's a better memory than reality- really hoping some TLC gets put into this place so it's brought back to its former glory.
It was ok but the hype on website promised more than they delivered. My son and I made the best of it all despite quite a few of the displays not working.
Great for kids up to 12 or so. Not much for adults but it's great to see the kids having fun.
Great place for younger kids. We take our toddler here all the time. Highly recommend the annual membership to save some money on frequent visits.
Each time we visited there were new things to learn about.as well as stuff that is a constant..love it
very cool place to visit. nice tourist place. surrounded by lots of green!
Fun place
Perfect place for whole family.
The Saskatchewan Science Centre is an incredible adventure for the young and not so young. You will be entertained and learn all the science that you were afraid to learn in school.
Great way to spend the day with my son
This site is very much geared towards younger children and not so much towards teens or older. A number of exhibits were not working properly when we visited, such as the bubble pit where we heard numerous frustrated visitors complain. The hot air balloon also did not work properly. Explanations for each exhibit could be more detailed, especially explaining why there is a scientific phenomenon existing. Compared to many other science centres visited, this one falls well short. I am glad I did not bring my whole family and waste my money. I will not be returning.
Had a great time here lots to do spent 3hours. Free parking. Not a real big parking lot but we were able to park with a big rig.
Very good place to take the kids and it's on an historic spot.
Super lame. It was lacking everything. It seemed like they didn't care anymore. Barely anything interactive. Nothing new. Where's the live animals? Where's the fun. Cuz there wasn't any. Huge waste of money.
Fairly disappointed. Many of the displays are over 15 years old and I would say 25% of the displays do not work. The body exhibit was cool though
I remember years ago there was much more hands on... and science. Not happy I paid a 100$ to take my family there for "180" exhibits and day of fun, for buckets of lego really. Nothing has changed in 15 years !!! Even the IMax movie was a bust. Paid additional 40$ for stale popcorn. Come on Regina, you're better than that!!
It a very nice place for adult and kids
Awesome
Best science center I have ever visited!
Wish was all open for the price paid for 15 min of ten ppl could of been better
Great place for the kids!! Lots of parking in a beautiful area of Regina. Good service. Body Worlds RX, very interesting.
Great place for the little dudes
Outside is a science based playground sponsored by the Anniversary of Ukrainians coming to Saskatchewan. It's fantastic with many cross country ski trails to blaze down as well.
It was a pretty good spot, line was a little long when I visited. But overall I would recommend.
It was really fun and a great stop in Regina.
Loved it!! So many fun and interactive things to do. I highly recommend this place for both young and old.
Wish it would have been clearer that you are limited to a timeframe. We thought it was just a set arrival window, not that they would kick you out at the end. I guess that is on us, but still disappointing. The first floor is useless, don't waste your time. Other floor were great, what we got to see of them. The park outside is where we got our money's worth.
It is fun
BIRTHDAY PARTY REVIEW Took my 5 year old son there for a safaris themed party. The term party is used VERY loosely, it was basically a hour and half school lesson. Really boring. First get there and host had a white smock that kids could colour on for birthday kid, this smock was big enough to fit me let alone my 40lb child. We threw that in the garbage when we got home. Then all kids were asked to sit at a table when host began showing them different animal skulls and their teeth, the kids were asked various questions that were to advanced for them. After that the host brought out a few animals for the kids to look and and touch if they wanted, host explained things about animal as kids were asked to keep seated and not talk. after this host started making ice cream and used liquid nitrogen to freeze it, she wouldn’t let my son (birthday boy) help with anything, even after he asked. I understand he can’t help with liquid nitrogen but all he asked was to put the sugar in. After that we had cake and presents then kids were sent home. They literally didn’t get up once from their chairs the entire time. Kids had admission to the centre after the party but 0 parents took advantage of that. Pros They supplied everything Cons Long time for kids to sit No games No science centre experience Expensive
It was good but a lot of the buttons didn't work on certain exhibits
No information about needing an appointment or the mandatory mask requirement.
If you have never been you won't realize how disappointing it is to spend a small fortune and only be allowed to spend 1 hour and 15 minutes. It's rushing through everything cause you feel you need to get your money's worth. Sad. They should significantly reduce the price. You have to make an appointment.
Great place for kids to learn and have fun. Lots of new exhibits since I was a kid and they are renovating more old areas now
this is a great place to visit with your kids. hope they open up again soon.
This museum is featured in a movie called, The Adventure Club.
Hasn't changed much since I was a child. It's fun to learn! Unfortunately there's is not much to learn there. We're in the scientific age, yet there is nothing there to showcase anything scientific.. I believe there are plenty of things that Saskatchewan has added to our scientific community. It's way to much money to go there with your family, it truly is unfortunate. I believe they should just accept donations and make it free to visit. The gift shop is an insult to your intelligence. $20 for a rubik's Cube..
Good times for all kids of all ages! Even the older type ????
I really enjoyed visiting this science centre with my daughter. We had a lot of fun
Fun science center with many interactive displays including home building, farming, plants and animals, hockey, human body, bubbles, space, and more. Multiple daily presentations such as space, static, etc. Some displays could use some upkeep, as they have obviously been well used. Lunch and coat rooms, gift shop, decent number of benches and places to sit as kids play. No restaurant on site, so plan ahead for food. Outdoor playground, and a several structures inside to climb.
Had a lot of fun! Great for all ages. Staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable!
(Translated) I found this museum quite well, interesting activities but what I disliked is the animals! They have little room especially the turtle that had only a small pond or the owl where its enclosure is very badly maintained and where it can not fly whereas it will be much better free in the forest or it can hunt and fly! Seeing the misfortune of these poor animals who do nothing of their days. Frankly very disappointed with this point.
Hi I understand things have been difficult through COVID, we pre booked on the same day for later that evening, we have been before and it was great fun for the family but honestly this time very disappointing a lot of exhibits closed the giro sphere closed at 430pm . If these things had been pointed out at time of booking I probably would of made the decision to still come and Pay full price to support you guys however to charge full price for a family and not disclose and to see the disappointment on my children’s faces made me very unhappy.
It is alright but getting run down. Lots of things didn’t work. Definitely not worth the money. Wish we spent our money elsewhere.
So fun!
I’m torn on rating the science center. On one hand, there were a handful of exhibits that full engaged my children. These were the ball/grain loading combine exhibit, the construction house and the little indoor playground. These are all newer additions. However, the rest of the center seems out of date with old and worn down activities that were around when I was a young child, a large percentage of the exhibits are at least 20 years old. There is nothing enticing enough to encourage a return visit for at least another 5-10 years.
Best place to bring the kids on a rainy day...
I've been coming here for 30+ years and the past decade I feel they have really stepped it up. While they keep some of the same awesome staples, they are always changing activities and have live demos so I still find it interesting and fun! If you haven't been check out adult science night, it is a perfect date night. ????
Kids and adult science experiments and different informative & learning experience for my family If I visited next time I will bring my daughter to this place
I like the outdoor Ukrainian playground more than the indoor joylabs. Joylabs is totally different from what we imagined before we go, not much to do and enjoy. I don't think we will comeback here in future. Not recommended.
After watching Adventure Club, this museum was a special-request destination from my eight-year old for March break, and it was well worth our trip from Toronto. The science playground near the entrance had plenty of fun, learning activities, and if it hadn't been so cold outside, my son would have spent an hour there alone. We spent the whole morning and the science centre, went out for lunch and came back again for the afternoon. The hot air balloon and bubble-making stations were particular favourites. Thank you so much to the young man (short dark hair, beard and mustache - I'm sorry, I forgot your name!) who was giving the kids rides on the GyroGym. My son really wanted to try it but was pretty scared, and you quickly put him at ease. Clean, beautiful museum with lots of interactive exhibits. Wonderful place!
Closed.
I like the Science Center Gredin friess
Absolute highlight of Regina.
Superb place for young kids. Can learn a lot while having a fun. Staff is very friendly. But there is no map or guide to follow inside. 4 floors with exhibits. Admission is free for under 3 years old kids. $10 for seniors and $15 for general tickets.
It’s definitely a nice place to visit. Daytime activities at this place are more children oriented and are a lot of fun for them. If you are an adult however, it’s nice to walk around and see, but not a lot to do, an hour will probably do it for you. That being said, they offer movies later at night and have some programs available for adults, unfortunately, I didn’t get to check it out yet. The prices are a little bit on the expensive side to my opinion, but the staff is helpful and kind and the place is clean and easy to get around. All and all it’s a nice experience that’s worth your time and money if you’re looking for something to do in Regina.
Body works exhibit is great. But the science center part is outdated, not updated in many years. Many exhibits don't work or were not being maintained to work properly (eg soap bubbles, hamster wheel to generate power, etc.
Great outing for the kiddos! They never seem to get bored here. I like taking the kids here in the winter as well because there's really not that many places to take them. Just so many memories here to count.
Needs AC couldnt pay attention there cause it was so hot.
Was expecting more from Joy Lab for the price paid to see the exhibit. We were done in about 15-20 minutes. Thought there would be more to see/do of the regular science centre exhibits.
A go-to place when visiting!
Gotta love that big screen Imax.
Today my family and I went to the science centre and I have to say it was a major let down when you walk in and there is a handful of " photo booth" areas, 1 turtle in a pink paddle pool, a place with bubbles and iPad's that control balls! It literally took 20 min to get through and most of that time was standing on the social distancing stickers waiting to get to the next photo place which also required wearing a mask so our vacation photos are poop We also felt very rushed to get through it and it for sure was not worth the admission.
My favourite place in the city and a wonderfully inclusive space for kids with varied needs.
Best staff ever! Took my niece and nephew for their very fist visit and it was just as good as I remembered it as a kid. The staff were so nice and played with the kids at the bubble maker station, the hot air balloon and even brought out a salamander out for the kids to touch!! Amazing!! I hate to say it but Calgary's new Spark doesn't hold a candle to Sask. Science Centre.
Excellent place to spend time.
Nice place to go with kids. My kids enjoyed this place.
1/10 no dragns
