Great location to camp on my roadtrip out east during the summer. Amazing cherries as well! Hopefully will return next summer!

The Rug Store

My wife and I went here to pick some cherries. She was eight months pregnant and it was her first time picking cherries. I told her that she would really enjoy it. Mr. Dickinson approached her and asked her not to eat any cherries before you paid for it. (She had tried one or two for taste.) When I told Mr. Dickinson that I will pay for an extra pound then he changed his tone and started saying oh no I meant you should wash them before eating. Long story short the experience left a sour taste in both our mouths. I would suggest that you go to Kelowna for picking cherries.

My homie and I pulled up to this spot after not being able to find a spot anywhere in the entire valley. Dwayne met us outside his front door and graciously allowed us to sleep in his orchard amongst the trees in our tents because he was out of camping spots, Class act of a guy with a good sense of humour and beautiful plot of land. Would truly recommend this spot over any campsites in the valley, clean amenities available (shower, toilet, running water, as well as a fridge) best spot we will be back next time we come through, Sincerely, The hungover boys.

Loved the enviornment and the ambiance. Good shower but we had to pay to shower. Good hook ups no potable water. The most horrific smelling outhouse in the world. They should cut the trees near the stalls as one snapped and broke my ac unit on top of my Motorhome. They probably could sweep out the stalls so you dont have cherries jubilee on everything that touchs the ground Thx Dale

Quiet cherry farm. It was great for a one night stay for us when okanagan camping was full. The owner was super sweet and they even offer u pick cherries which we did and we would definetly recommend. I am happy Okanagan was full because this place was so peaceful which is how I like it.

Very bad experience. We come from hundreds of kilometres and the host said only a small area of trees with little cherries are for u pick and expensive. We see other large and juicy ones on the other side but it’s not for u pick. Ridiculous!

Beautiful and relaxing place, nice family. We enjoyed our time for 2 nights at July.2018

Our boys loved picking cherries.

Dwayne and Renee of Dickinson Family Farm are outstanding hosts. They opened their farm for the inaugural Feast of Farms in 2016 and we'll be there again on September 9, this year. They moved in a stage for our live music, accommodated us with our space requirements, and sponsored our event! Check them out!

We stopped in to pick cherries for the first time yesterday and it was awesome. It wasn't very busy and the cherries are wonderful. Very clean washroom (cleanest outhouse I have ever seen) and friendly, helpful staff. Definitely going back!

We dont have problems with them watching people when they pick due to the rules of “no eating when picking” as per excuse of the chemicals. BUT the price after your picking is horrible . Per lbs is $2.50, we picked for about 34lbs multiply by 2.50 is almost $100.00 and that weight includes the box where you put the cherries.

In between moving homes we stayed here for a week or so and had a most enjoyable time. We had our small dog and the campground was full at all times (July/August 2016) but everyone was very courteous and friendly. The owners of the orchard were very accomodating to all who arrived. I'm not a cherry lover but my husband is and he enjoyed picking a few for himself. Cherries vary in cost all over the valley so these are very competitive in price. I would highly recommend this camping experience to everyone! The orchard is beautiful, it's close to amenities, the outhouse is cute, showers are pay but work well and it's not very far from the beach. Thank you very much for our enjoyable stay Dickinson Family Farm!! We will be back!

We arrived 15 minutes before the closing time. The person there started talking on the phone while we are approaching him. He remained on the phone while we waited in front of him. After waited for 5 minutes, we left. Very unwelcoming.

I really hate leaving a five star. My reasoning is that I don't want anyone else to know about this place and to keep open to myself. There are limited power sites with power and water, I have been told the water is potable. Renee (the host) was very sweet and accommodating. There is an outhouse and paid showers. Very quiet amongst the cherry trees. Not sure if there is a sani dump as I have not asked or looked for one. Thanks Renee for having us as your guest, we are looking forward to coming back.. Cbeers..

I will give them a zero if that is an option. We drove over 20 hours with 2 little children and missed their closing time by 5 minutes. The owner slammed the door on us and wouldn't even answer any questions. Definitely not recommended.

Very nice U pick farm if you don't mind the owner follows you and tells you which "trees" to pick the cherries from. There were nicer cherries on the other trees but I wasn't "allowed" to pick from there. They have nice ladders which they make you climb and pick from the top. You work for them for free and pay for the fruit you picked. You get discounts if you are lucky as the rate per pounds changes depends who you talk to and weigh in. The cherries are delicious if you don't mind some dings & dents and some mushy parts, although you spent some time to pick the less damaged and OK looking cherries and avoiding dried up cherries. Don't eat one or two cherries on site because they sprayed them and you will be told again if you get caught. Overall, it is a nice farm to experience cherry picking while the owners watching right beside you when no other farms around it closed for the weekend.

Very relaxing place and great family runs it, we looking forward to go back to there again.

absolutely delicious cherries and nice people - I also loved the campsite, which is directly in the orchard under cherry trees. I red the ratings before and I don't really understand, why people are complaining because they had to pick the cherries from trees the owner told them! This makes sense, because otherwise a lot of cherries would go bad. Best regards! Matt

We love this place. We've been picking cherries at this place for the last approximately 20 years. The price may be higher at this farm, but the taste and quality is far superior to anything we've purchased elsewhere in the valley. When picking we keep the good ones and drop the spoiled ones on the ground. The nice looking juicy ones on the other side of the fence that we are not allowed to pick, are a later variety and are not totally ripe yet. We drive hundreds of miles every year to pick cherries at this place and it has always been a wonderful experience. We decided one year not to pick cherries but to just purchase them from an unnamed fruit stand in a large quantity. The cherries on the top of the box were large and looked very nice. They were cheaper. But when we got to lower part of the box, cherries were smaller, less ripe and much more tasteless. When we return home we share the Dickinson cherries with our friends and family, they never stop ranting and raving about how great they taste. It will always be Dickinson Family farm for me. P.S. I have sampled cherries without washing them, what a terrible taste it left in my mouth. I think it's a spray to prevent the cherry from growing a fungus and spoiling, but what do I know, I'm just a berry happy cherry picker.

Campsite ok if you don't mind chemical spray being applied 2 metres from your tent or owner sending you into the orchard with sprinkler system spraying your tent at midnight. The first occurred in the morning of the first stay, when neighbor drove a small tractor early (waking everyone up), wearing a full face helmet and oxygen mask. Upon asking the owner he replied he didn't know what was sprayed but it surely was not poison. Why would you wear full protection if that wasn't the case? I wouldn't camp here with small children. The second incident was more of a gong show: the wife who is doing the bookings is not only unfriendly but also double booked the spot and when we went to pay that night we had to move our tent into the orchard. After falling asleep we were woken up by something pissing against our tent from both sides...

Sean Savard

Cherries were easy to pick, the attendant joked around with us. Will go again.

Luke Hill

This is a great place to learn how much goes into growing fruit. Mind the negative reviews; People need to appreciate the skill and mastery that an orchard requires, not gripe about being instructed how to pick when they haven't a clue.
