This Zoo is classified in the category of Tourist attraction.
A fun, not too long experience. Some exhibits are better than others but overall an interesting place. Would go again.
Lovely miniature figures and lots of exhibits. Amazing place very educative.
Strangely interesting and highly recommended. I don't think most would appreciate the amount of time that goes into these dioramas. So worth the cost of admission.
It's scenes from the world... In miniature! So I think Miniature World is accurately named. This place actually exceeded my expectations. I thought I would get just a bunch of dollhouses, but they have an impressive array of models of scenes from history, mythology, fairy tales, science fiction and more. There's a small scale lumber mill that actually works. The intricacy and ambitious scale of everything I saw was truly stunning. Miniature price but big fun!
Cool place. The level of detail in the displays is amazing!
Great for kids. Educational and fun. Takes about 1 hour.
Lots and lots of miniatures! Beautifully crafted and displayed. Great place to spend half the day, especially if it's raining.
Really great experience you get to see mini worlds of different historic events and also they give you knowledge on those
This is an amazing place for children and adults alike. The miniature version of all historic events is brilliant.
Inspiring, amazing, and so fun to see all of the effort people put into these dioramas. Another one the kids (and us adults) thoroughly enjoyed.
Interesting displays of miniatures of different sizes including model sawmill.
Amazing miniature models. I didn't expect to see so many scenes from history, felt like I attended a history class. Thank you. Definitely a great place to visit. I highly recommend it.
It was a great experience. More displays than I expected. My 4 grandchildren really enjoyed it too.
A great place to visit. Lots of fun. Great for kids but still fun for adults.
Pretty awesome
Lovely glimpse of Canadian history in a mini world. Great details in every piece.
Wonderful place for both adults and kids. Love all the models, especially the train cross the country. I didn’t even wanna leave ????
Worth every buck !! It all Depends on individual to individual because of taste. But who do like it, I urge you folks to take the tour. Your kids will love it.
The kids enjoyed the fact there are buttons to push, but that's about it. Feels like you paid $60 to look through a creepy old dudes basement model collection
The 4 and 8 year old boys were captivated by the train and battle scenes.
Astonishing details on all things at miniature world. Its a different world in itself. Great fun for adults and kids alike. Kids love pushing buttons to see trains and cars move. You can come the whole history of the world in such a great detail. Admission is fair priced. Located in downtown. The whole experience takes about 45 mins to an hour. But, you have your own time to explore. It's a must see when you are visiting Victoria.
Very good collection of miniature things, however did have a slight issue in that 3 regular things were inside; a knight, a sword and a saw. There was also some slight inconsistency in the size of the miniatures, meaning that a miniature in one diorama could be a giant in the next!!! If miniature world can work to fix these issues it will be a truly 5 star, world class attraction and house of small things.
Incredible details and vast arrays of different themes. My favourite is the WWII theme and the Canadian provinces from coast to coast.
Great place to visit. I didn't expect its gonna be so interesting. Recommending.
Lots to see! Amazing exhibit and educational
Amazing details. My kids loved it!
Good place for onetime visit
This was cooler than i thought it would be. Was very impressed with the level of detail. Worth checking out, especially if you have kids.
Fun tourist attraction, only takes about an hour to walk through
Wasn't sure what to think of this place but read the reviews and decided to go. We were blown away at all the miniatures especially the space themed one.
Very unique will be back
Very impressive the amount of detail that went into everything here! Spectacular
Great place to go even if you don’t have kids! So many incredible displays, you just can’t believe all the detail.
Great place, lots to see so allow lots of time to see all the displays. Some of the displays are interactive which makes it fun and you get a little tour through history at the same time.
Just amazing! Our 8 yr. old had a great time walking through the museum checking out all the wonderful miniatures. From entering the museum you are transported into a wonderful world in outer space but small sized! He enjoyed reading out all the slates tell you what the diorama was depicting, so we took our time walking through. Beautiful, handcrafted miniatures were lovingly displayed in some beautiful cabinets, with steps for the smaller ones to get a good look. Navigating through the whole museum took us a little over two hours. Of course many family’s were there and their children preferred to briskly walk through, however our little guy was captivated by the whole experience. The only suggestion we had collectively is that the Medieval section seemed to fall a bit short from the Circus area within the museum. The size (jokingly) of the Circus section far exceeded that of the Medieval one, but again it must be very difficult to move & maintain the dioramas. Take the kids or take yourself and enjoy loosing yourself in Miniature World!
Great place to take kids of all ages
Hard to add anything that hasn’t already been said. Have you ever watched Peter Pan on Disney +. It’s very old, requires a disclaimer due to politically incorrect content (and very deservedly so), and still an awesome movie. Simply timeless!
The displays are cool. There were a lot set in war times which is a bit depressing. There was a whimsical area which derived into fairy tales. The best part was the models based on Canadian cities throughout history.
This place is neat! It's not somewhere you could spend a whole day with kids, but my 4 year old gets completely drawn into the train and circus displays, loves the interactive bits too. Absolutely worth the season pass to keep us busy for an hour or so on a rainy day.
Lots to see! Better than other miniature worlds I've been to.
Great for kids! Bad for parents' wallet... At least they enjoyed it!
We really enjoyed Miniature World with our kids. They had lots of displays that also had interactive elements. Adults will enjoy all the small details and intricacies. This is just the right size for kids, not a huge place but enough to see.
You can watch the miniature world, the Canadian country, and the bitter and sweet history of Victoria city in here. This place is especially attractive for children and is one of the attractions of this city, but it was so marvelous and attractive for me as a adult person. you can see any dream that you had in your childhood here. The animations you have seen is coming in your mind when you are walking in the Miniature World. this is a briliiant idea and I think all the big and historical cities in the world can have some thing like this. it wont be repetetive because of different history and cultures those cities have been through. I hope I can see different historical artichectures and cultures at the same time in a small place in differen touristic cities.
Amazing staff but it was really hot in there probably to maintain and preserve everything.
There is a wonder full 3D virtual quality to the displays at Miniature World and this of course goes back over 40 years before 'virtual' or '3D' was in vogue! I have been to visit the show a number of times over the years due to the sheer number of themes and their continued expansion, it is impossible to take it all in during one visit even though you can stay as long as you like. Sometimes it seems like a time travel experience with all the historical stuff, other times it feels like they have archived and captured frozen moments in time giving you a pause to notice all the details. Been a fan for years and am looking forward to their next expansion in 2014 which is all hush hush I hear (or don't that is, and I am local to the area of beautiful Victoria). Highly recommended, truly something for all ages.
Amazing place. Must visit recommended. Spend time in each section seeing the details the artists have put into the miniatures. So many minute details that a normal person would not even think of.
Very impressive the amount of detail that went into everything here! Spectacular
Better than I expected. The quality of the miniature dioramas was superb. Nice variety of topics also, varying from WWII, to old English towns, Civil War, classic children's stories, model trains, detailed doll houses, movie set quality dioramas, etc.. There's something for everyone. Was a bit skeptical that it would be worth it, but the 4 of us of different ages (including 2 teens) walked out all agreeing that it was enjoyable. Took about 45 minutes. Cost about $12 each.
This is a really cool experience, our son who is seven went last year when we visited Victoria and this year insisted on visiting again when we went back for vacation. The exhibits are really interesting, entertaining for parents too!
Impressive. As a non miniature enthusiast (like my wife). I was taken a back by the displays. Great for kids. I did need a beer afterwards though.
It's really cool place to learn about war, and to see some delicate fairy tale stuff.
Great family outing, not what kids expect but they love it
We thought this museum was for kids, but it was actually very interesting. Someone really put a lot of effort here, and the details were spectacular.
Raised in Victoria. Left at 38. Some of my most fondest memories are participating in 'Be A Tourist In Your Own Hometown' along with my daughter. We cherished Miniature World. Such a feast for the eyes. What a lot of dreams and great stories were made from. Treat yourself ????
Was skeptical of this at first; wasn't sure I was going to enjoy it. No joking, the moment I stepped into the exhibits, I was enthralled. Fun for all ages.
This is a great place to explore in Victoria. I really recommend it for the little ones with a curious mind. They have great displays and a variety of themes from WWII to iconic children's book characters. It is also an interactive experience e.g. push buttons to move characters and turn lights on the displays. I also was very pleased with the customer service they provided me with. The front person was very helpful with all my questions.
Revisited this place after 15 years! It is still so amazing, even as an adult. Loved the attention to detail in this place! Such a fun experience for kids & adults (if you love exhibitions and museum related stuff).
The displays were interesting but I wouldn't recommend going as the price per person is too steep. At $10 it would be worth checking out but at almost $20 per person it's not worth it.
Great for kids and adults alike! A truly unique tourist attraction that even the locals appreciate. Nothing quite like it anywhere else.
They don't make tourist attractions like this anymore! It's a little corny/kitschy but that's part of the charm. Great for kids and adults.
Love this place. The detail in each display will amaze you! Great place for all ages and all catagories of interest...miniature stuff, history, war scenes, the circus, doll houses, fairy tales, scenes from across Canada. Even a space/star wars scene. It's all pretty awesome. Forewarned: the majority of the walk through is very dark and some area a little narrow. A wheelchair could get through however many displays would be difficult to see the whole thing. Several Staff Only doors throughout however when I needed a staff member I knocked on all of them and nobody answered any of them...I had to go against the flow of visitors and get back to the cashier at the entrance. Main thing is, the miniature displays are big, extremely detailed considering how tiny each thing is and it WILL blow you away!! You will walk away amazed at what you saw!!
The attention to details in all the miniature figures are mind blowing. Do remember to press all the buttons to see the complete pieces
Just went there yesterday. The space station in the beginning was very cool and the other themed displays were absolutely amazing
Kids will love this place for sure, and adults into some macro photography will have a ton of fun. Extensive miniature collection and dioramas. Lots of good clean fun.
It was really tiny. Lots of facts also for the history lovers. Neat to see Calgary, Toronto and Winnipeg in an by gone time. The wait was a pain however is needed for COVID-19 restrictions.
Miniature world has a mediumture price point, but it is largely worth it! The attention to detail in the miniatures is AMAZING. The cityscapes and crossections are a blast! Enjoy.
The best little show on earth! Must visit in Victoria!
Great attention to detail. I enjoyed the information that was played over the PA system as you examined each installation. There are lots of buttons that can be pushed which made it a lot more entertaining for my toddler. In my opinion this is a great activity for a rainy or cold day in Victoria and an activity that can be repeated.
Had no idea we would enjoy this so much. Very cool setup with a great deal of historical information as well as some fantasy installments. Definitely worth the trip!
Quite expensive. Kids loved it, but it doesn't take long to go through it all.
We really enjoyed this place. Kids would definitely love this. Better than the miniature section of the Art Institute of Chicago IMO.
It was amazing, ming blowing, and life changing. I'd bring my children, grand children and great grandchildren here. Worth the $17 dollars. Memories were made here.
I visited last weekend with my family (kids 6 and 4 years old), and we all enjoyed the creativity that's gone into making the dioramas. Clearly, a lot of effort has gone into them. There's a lot to see, and explore, more than we were …
Well worth the $17 if you love miniature art
My son is 8 and I was worried he might not be too interested in this place. But he absolutely loved it. The mini world starts with a lot of battle scenes with descriptions of real life battles. Then there are some historical scenes for example showing different Canadian cities in like 1850 or England in 1900. I found those really interesting. My son had enough patience to read through some of those descriptions which were also a good learning opportunity for him. He likes the displays that were interactive and he could press buttons to make different things move. His favourite were the fairy tale- themed displays and old mansion (huge dollhouse) displays and the circus. I liked best the ones depicting various Canadian cities in the olden days. There were a few displays showing scenes from books like Charles Dickens and while the scenes were interesting, you cannot fully appreciate those scenes unless you have read the books.
Really interesting place for children AND adults! Informative exhibits and engaging displays (many buttons for children to push!) make for a great family outing. The rooms are narrow though, so strollers are discouraged unless absolutely needed.
Thoroughly enjoyed this place. There was a variety of miniature scenes to ponder and marvel at. It takes about an hour to go through all the miniatures scenes.
If you spend time looking into the buildings you can find some interesting things.
Pretty cool little place, pun intended. I am a fan of model trains and dioramas, and so coming here was a treat. It is a pretty quick tour through various historic and mythic landscapes, featuring some standards (WW2, wild west, fairy tales). Highlights were the space themed sets and the detail work on the war set ups. Great place to take kids. Worth going once, probably not worth it twice.
This is one of those place where you can go and learn about history without actually reading any history book. Good place to visit with children.
Great place to visit especially for kids!
Love miniature world, been going since my kid was a toddler he's almost 17 and still loves it.
There is a lot of dioramas perfectly detailed , you can stay hours there and feel like minutes
Family friendly and fun. Some exhibits teach the Canadian history, informative for adults too.
My sons favorite place in Victoria. Came back twice. It is worth it to get an annual pass . Staff was super friendly and exceptional. Especially the Megan at the front desk
This place was ok, but definitely overpriced for what it is. The circus scene and train were pretty cool though.
Great for young and old. Kids love it and we will visit again.
Spectacular displays!
Fun place to take kids. There is also lots to see for adults too. A nice balance. I could see going back again without kids to get a good look around. Kids will get bored in about 30 minutes but you knew this going in. Then again some people area in there for hours, some for the displays have lots to find. Totally worth the price of admission
It is an amazing place .you see Canada history unfold in front of you., but it's on a miniature version
As someone who has been to “Miniatur Wunderland” in Hamburg Germany which was an absolutely exceptional experience, unfortunately I must say this did not even come close to that experience. Firstly, I found it very disappointing that the exhibits do not adhere to a consistent model scale throughout the experience - for instance, several of the models are the size of children’s toys (and probably are such), and only some are true professionally crafted miniatures. Secondly, we found that for an entrance fee of $17, the duration for which it takes to complete this experience is much too short (we completed in less than 30 minutes while walking slowly). Some of the exhibits contain interactive functionality, many of which were not even working correctly at the time of our visit. To summarize, if you’re looking to spend a day in Victoria doing something touristy, I’d recommend elsewhere instead (such as the Royal BC Museum).
It is very beautiful museum. A must visit place in Victoria. Person with any age will love it. You will not regret the visit.
We love Miniature world. We came back again again and again.
I am so glad we rushed from the boat, grabbed a taxi, and raced over to spend an hour or two here. Even the little kids enjoyed seeing everything, although I think I was carrying the toddler by the end. I still show friends pictures and videos to encourage them to visit if they are in the neighborhood.
What a great way to spend an hour and a half! My party and I had a wonderful time, with the exhibits captivating us deeply while at the same time giving us lots of insight on world history (particularly Canada's beginnings and the major world wars) that kept us quite intrigued. They gave us a discount since we were a group of six (we paid $96 total so about $16 per person), and for the price we paid, we sure squeezed out a hell of a good time to the very last drop!
Interesting for detail oriented people but overpriced for entry since it only takes about an hour to go through and only a few exhibits are interactive. It's a niche interest spot for sure.
Spent a rainy morning here. When you visit, be sure to pay attention to detail, don't just gloss over each display. There's lots to look at- So much detail! The only reason for 4 stars is that the last few displays are larger doll houses and aren't as intricate as the others. These last displays are sorta crammed together and it's hard to get through the isles when there are other tourists looking at the displays.
It was okay and probably not worth 17 bucks. All the scenes seemed wildly dated and the scales from scene to scene were all over the map. It wasn’t terrible but I probably wouldn’t suggest it to someone.
Before going in you don't think it will be very interesting, but it is really cool actually. It is incredible how much effort and time goes in to every piece. Highly recommended!
Not only kids but we also loved it! So impressive!
It's a great indoor attraction that's a little more on the pricey side. My personal favorite dioramas were the ones relating to King Arthur and the world of fairy tales. You can also interact with some exhibits by pressing buttons which causes something special to happen. Such as, make King Arthur pull the sword from the stone. Some details regarding the place: -2 public washrooms, one toilet in each -No gift shop -No day pass option
Fun place for kids and educational for adults. Worth going at least once.
Nice!
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to miniature world and recommend to everyone.
Very detailed and educational. Excellent work creating these scenes. Adults will enjoy this as much or more than kids.
Alot of cool displays , ????worth the price of admission
What can I say.. it was a little expensive. Like $50 for the family of 4. But we took an hour and a half to walk through. I thought it was pretty amazing, the children liked it; but as children often do, they take it for granted. They have over 85 dioramas, but I thought it would be nice if they did a 7 wonders of the world piece. It would have been kinda neat to see the pyramids of Egypt and that sort of thing. I mean really, this exhibit is very low maintenance and at $50 for 2 adults and 2 children I am sure they are raking the money in... I mean when I was there, there were at least 15 people there too. Lest say over $1000 on any given day... maybe time to make the pyramids eh????
Grear spot to take children. There are so many things to look at and they love pressing the buttons to see what happens in the dioramas.
If you haven't been here, you gotta go at least once, it's way worth a visit. Fun and very interesting, some of the dioramas are quite large and many have buttons to press to make things come to life. Go with a group and save on the entry fees, but even if not, it's still a good deal.
Very boring, worthless and overpriced. They said it’ll take you an hour to go through the whole place. It took me 13 min LOL!
The miniatures were truly wonderful!! But if you want time to view, go later in the day when not so many kids are there...
Must see in Victoria! Young or old, you are guaranteed great time.
A very detailed museum with miniatures ranging from historical events to dollhouses. The quality does vary, but generally the miniatures are fairly high quality and very well made. The working saw mill was very impressive, as well as the very professional miniatures that start off the tour. If you get a chance to check it out, there are plenty of interesting things!
The details that was put into the exhibits was spectacular. Additionally the price is great, a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.
My first visit was in 1975, and I loved it then and still love it now. Word of advice, if you are taller than 4'8" crouch down and look at things from a child height, things look even cooler from their perspective!!
Pretty cool! But the fairy tale section was a bit creepy
A must visit place to spend around 2 hours with miniature world. Beautifully crafted and showcased.
I loved it! So much fun. Everything is so well done.
Good for one time visit! A little bit boring!
I loved this place so much. There are themes of everything you can think of. Average time is probably 45-60 mins to go through it. Definitely worth the money! So much to see and so many details!
awesome place to spend an hour. recommend.
Kids imagination go wild here. Love to listen to their stories as they walk around the exhibits.
Amesome for kids. Lots and lots of details in wide range of models
This attraction is my dream come true! I love every detail. It reminds me my childhood! Highly recommended!
Good way to teach kids history. The dioramas are intricate and interactive. You can easily spend 2-3 hours inside inspecting and learning in completely different way.
This was a great place for the entire family. It is interactive and the models are unreal. I took a ton of pictures. Worth every second!
Very interesting experience with scenes depicting space, Camelot, and fairytales. It's suppose to be an hour long visit but can take longer if you take your time and look at all the details, but we just pushed buttons when we saw them and enjoyed the views briefly. It may have been because we were pretty giddy from the days events. If you're into doll house size scenery and being able to see how much detail can be put into a house and etc., this is the place for you. It's $18.00 plus tax though
The work that goes into these miniatures are amazing. The space display when you first enter the venue is super cool! A bit old and dusty but it is very fun and interesting overall.
I love this place. There is so much to see. Staff are friendly and the rates are very reasonable. Excellent displays.
Although the name is Miniature, the place is quite big! A great place to take the family, or go alone. The art is praiseworthy and amusing. The best part? You don't need to read all the signs, their are many audio description going on all the time. You just need to stand back and enjoy. Actually, don't stand back, lean in and look closely or you might miss something amazing!
My little guy is obsessed with this hidden gem of an attraction. I was impressed by how big the space actually is, very misleading from the street. A great spot to spend an hour or so, and you learn lots too!
The displays are very old and look like they haven't been touched since the 80s. It's a "one way" walk through until you reach the exit. It's very dusty and stuffy within a very small and cramped space. I was expecting a more immersive experience. A disappointment.
Save old wall
Inspiring, amazing, and so fun to see all of the effort people put into these dioramas. Another one the kids (and us adults) thoroughly enjoyed.
The customer service of this place was very disappointing. As a tourist we were very excited to visit but they did not let let us in despite of being there at 4:15pm. Please train the staff well for how to talk to customers and provide them …
Great for kids. Educational and fun. Takes about 1 hour.
Definitely something to do if you are in town. Not something you'd do twice I think.
It's an amazing place. Wish there were occasional benches to allow guests a place to rest.
On the maps its called miniature land , so you expect to walk between miniature buildings, but it's inside, first floor one side but at the basement of Fairmont hotel!!!. The miniature buildings are inside showscreens. Like a dark narrow museum. Interesting stories behind each scene.
This place is really neat!
So many detailed displays.all my pictures look like taken in real life. Thought this was going to be a bust and it blew away!
My husband really enjoyed it. It was interesting.
Fun place of miniature detail engaged my kids for two hours.
Truly a gem of Victoria. Save at least 2 hours for a visit if you want to explore every single detail (and there are lots of surprises) of these dioramas.
Spent about 45 mins inside. Recommend not to go there close to 4pm, cuz there will be a long line up and you might not get the chance to enter. It's a really cool place to visit in Victoria Downtown. Proximity to Fairmont hotel, Royal BC museum, etc.
Neat place, lots of detail. No airflow in the space though makes it warm. Definitely worth a look
Very impressive miniature displays. Minute details. There are lots of different theme displays. Most have historical descriptions and interactive displays. A superb place for the kids.
This place is so good!! Very interesting. It is a must to see if you visit Victoria :-)
Pretty decent tourist attraction in the heart of Victoria. They have models at different scales of various topics. The most impressive is probably the one dedicated to Canada, from west to east. The ones depicting world war II or the Circus are also enjoyable. Good for kids and adults
Definitely a "should stop" for any tourist to Victoria. If you don't have time to hit it up then don't, but it is definitely one of the best things to do in the lower Harbour area. Takes about 45 min and is both enjoyable for adults, especially ones with a liking for local history as they have some extensive dioramas of historical periods in Canadian and World history, and especially good for children with working model trains, fairy tales, space ships and medieval knights to enjoy. Quick to go through, reasonably priced and a piece of local Victorian history. Definitely something you won't regret.
Really good place for kids
This was a pretty incredible site to see. The level of detail in these creations was incredible. Even if it's a theme or time setting you don't have any particular interest in, it's still amazing to see the level of patience and commitment put into these things. The circus/town wrap around near the end is a sight to behold! Only negative would probably be all the annoying children who keep running back and forth around the All around Canada set-up!
I loved this place 45 years ago, and it definately changed. Spent a lot of time here. Fun!
Such a cool little museum. The setups are amazing and it is well worth the price in my opinion.
Outstanding experience 10/10!!!!!!!! My partner and I loved it, it made our trip ❤️????
This is one of my all time favourite places to visit. It's unbelievably well done, there are history lessons around every corner and magic and whimsy around every bend. My favourite area is the fairytale zone but the new Excalibur/King Arthur addition is so cool! Love it!
Very elaborate miniature displays. Literally thousand of people, cars, pieces of equipment in some of the big dioramas. Well worth the visit
This is the place where you and your kids must go if you are in Victoria. Put it first in your list. You will not regret. Recommend!
I dig all the minis. The little detail work is great and I really enjoyed the long Canada exhibit
Aptly named! Stuff was tiny!
Our toddler is a train fanatic and he couldn't get enough. Especially the exhibit that shifts from day to night and you can watch the steam train go through the nightscape with shining headlights.
I toured Miniature World with my 18 month son. He loved it. The displays blew his mind, there was so much to look at. Making the model trains move by pushing buttons combined two of his favorite things. He did find the miniature ferris wheel music a bit scary.
Wow, now this is what the world should be, a mini man's paradise, a midget's casino. Giants be damned, this is the place to be if you want family fun and small time smells and sights. My family was in a frenzy swooping around looking at all the miniature worlds here and I had to club my son just to get him out. Life is great in here. Outside, not so much. Please advertise more on the big networks and in the newspaper. Thanks - Ned.
Took my grandsons and the 3 of us thought it was amazing!
Very informative and interesting museum that I went through. It’s a depth history story to see through those little figures and landscape. It’s countless photos that I took. It is amazing and a definite visit when being in Victoria.
I've always liked the displays. My favorites tend to be the more minature scale landscapes of the towns and cities. Nice variety of themes from different eras and fictional stories.
Love going to miniature world! They always have great displays that are very well done plus some awesome history.
My 14 year old son absolutely loved this place. The detail is incredible from world war 1 and 2 to King Arthur. We spent a good hour here and everyone enjoyed themselves.
Super cool for both kids and adults!
Been to this attraction more than a handful of times. I could never get bored of it! I can definitely appreciate the craftsmanship and older exhibits which are so unique. This place makes me feel like a curious kid again!
Most of the exhibits are very detailed, but the content is dated and problematic in areas. It's a pretty decent stop with kids, but I wouldn't make a crazy special trip.
Very cool!!! The whole family enjoyed it - from kids to grandparents.
Genuinely the best tourist attraction in a town full of great attractions. Love the themes and the models are amazing. The whole place is fun!
Extremely cool little place!! Could spend ages in there looking at every little thing. Favourite part was the space display. Lots of historical miniatures and pretty informational as well. The work put into these are incredible. A great place to go as an adult and a kid. Only complaint is that I wish there was more!
Some interactive exhibits didn't seem to be working but it was an overall great experience!
My lil guy loves it! (3yrs old) especially pushing all the buttons and seeing it all "come to life"!
A lot of fun. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Lots of fun scenes, lots of was scenes. I really liked the sci-fi scenes, with a plot described.
One of the best places I’ve visited in Victoria. This hidden treasure is a place filled with knowledge and history detailed and explained in all miniature forms. The detailing is mesmerising and breathtaking. Any lover of art or history shouldn’t miss this place. I love the exhibits and would definitely come back. It was worth the entry fee coz I spent a good amount of time inside and didn’t expect myself to be so amused. Highly appreciate the hard work behind each miniature. Though there were many miniature that I loved,y favourite one was of the railway in Canada as it was interactive and the mini trains moved around and it was just mind blowing! It is no easy task to recreate so much and I’m grateful for the exhibit.
Nothing holds a candle to miniature world, it is by far the best attraction in victoria. A thriling experience to say the least
Wasn’t really my thing. It’s pretty old inside. You gotta appreciate the time and effort to build each one and have the history behind it. There are green buttons on certain structures that will turn on either lights or activate trains
Really amazing place with lots to see
Miniature world very unique Very interesting go back in heart beat
Loved this place! Highly recommend. I took my mum and my 2 year old. We all had a ball. We stayed for over an hour but easily could of stayed longer, just to look at all the small details but the toddler wanted to keep going. It's great for all ages.
An amazing and unique place. This a definite recommendation for any tourist going in Victoria, BC. They have really good Covid 19 policies to keep themselves and you safe. There can be a line up but its worth it. A very good place to take the kids to see things. The figures are very well decorated and the small houses are very well designed. Be sure to early as they can close quite early dues to staffing so be wary of their schedules. All in all a very good touristy place.
I want to say my review is based entirely on the fact that the outdated narratives playing in miniature world are racist. In the area that depicts the revolutionary war the narration talks about the necessity of slavery, stating verbatim "slavery was necessary for the south." I understand the narrative is old, but it is not helpful to spread such racist nonsense. Slavery was not necessary, surely the United States would have managed under a different system. I will immediately change this review to 5 stars once miniature world updates or removes these racist portions.
The intricate details on each of the miniature sets is too good. However, it seems a bit outdated and they should add something new. Pressing the button to see a train run on its tracks and some other button activated motions in the display are a kids delight.
Not very sure whether to visit or not but glad finally decided to visit. I am sure the amount of details will definitely impress everyone. Trains going thru' tunnels and on mountainous routes make you feel like a child once again. Children will be thrilled. Not much crowded. Have a leisurely visit and you may end up spending hours without realising it.
Sure, it's a bit dated and seems kind of hokey, but it's a Victoria institution and well worth the pittance charged for admission. It'll take a couple of hours to get through, and there's so much variety and historical information between the exhibits that it's engaging for all. Also has a tie in the the nighttime GhostWalks!
Makes you feel like a kid again! Such detail and time that had to go into every display! All ages would enjoy this! My favorite had to be the Fairy Tale section and close 2nd the doll house type displays! A little girls dream to play with;)! A easy walk from the Emperess hotel. Pictures will not do this place justice! We came on a cruise ship and only knew of it from a past cruise walking by (but was closed), so we already planned to make it a priority to do on this second trip. It was a bit crowded and had a few unattended or poorly supervised children but if you can ignore that you will be fine, or plan to attend off season. Bathrooms are located half way through so make so to go before you exit as there is no re-entry.
Fun place to visit. About an hour to go through. Amazing miniature details. Thousands of individual characters and details.
We had a lot of fun! It’s very well done and interactive. Seemed a little expensive at first but there is a lot to see. There are different themes and eras. It even has a section dedicated to how Canada looked like in the old days. Very interesting!!!
This place hasn't changed since I was a kid. It's a little dated bit still so much fun for me.t he workmanship is just amazing. Great place to take kids. I still go Everytime I'm in Victoria.
It seems kinda corny, and maybe it is, and little, but it's also super interesting a fun! Absurdly detailed miniature dioramas, as well as amazingly constructed dollhouses. Not to mention, it's one of the few places where you don't need to exit through a gift shop! It's an inexpensive attraction, fun for the family, worth it if you're in the area!
I toured Miniature World with my 18 month son. He loved it. The displays blew his mind, there was so much to look at. Making the model trains move by pushing buttons combined two of his favorite things. He did find the miniature ferris wheel music a bit scary.
Very fun. It kinda reminded me of a miniature miniatur Wunderland, which I really want to visit. 10/5 would visit again.
Be aware that they use "miniature world" in a figurative sense - it is not in fact a collection of small globes. If you like your worlds miniature this may not be the place is for you. However I was pleasantly surprised to find a collection of incredibly interesting dioramas at a reasonable price. If I could offer a piece of advice, I would rebrand as "Place of Dioramas".
If you LOVE war time history then this place is for you. Everyone else should avoid it due to the cost-$18 each and no A/C when outside temp was 30C, we ended up walking out and gathered with others who were also overheated. Kids enjoyed pressing buttons which triggered characters and parts to move. At most this place should cost $10 per person, at $18each I would have preferred watching a movie with the family.
This was even more amazing than I thought. And halfway through I thought it was the end... But was happy to find there was another several more rooms to see! The level of detail, historic re-creation and interactivity and movement is amazing. Give yourself at least an hour to take it all in.
The place did not look every appealing from the outside, but man, in side is little a little miniature world. All the miniature are amazingly in details, many of them you can interactive with it. My little one has so much fun in that place!
Over all it was really neat to see! However if I have to be picky, some of the buttons that animate the attractions did not function so that was a bummer. It was cool though!
Very cool place to visit. My kids loved it!
By far the best attraction in Victoria. The miniatures recreate fantasy and history including Second World War battles involving Canada which schools don't even do. Its really fantastic and is a highlight of the city that otherwise just has a view of the water. More interesting than the wax museum.
Unprofessional stuff today, all oder perfect
Seems like a tourist trap, but it's pretty cool inside. The model maker is very talented and out a lot of time and effort into making some amazing scenes. There's different sections inside and could take you a couple hours if you took your time. Bit of a history lesson to go along with the scenes too. Worth the money.
This place is so cool! You guys certainly did a great job here! I recommend anybody to come to this amazing Victorian attraction.
Very quirky, interesting to walk through. Block off about an hour, and be ready to leave drinks at the door with reception.
I went here as a kid in the 80's, so pretty cool to come back and experience again with my son. A lot of the same exhibits and some newer ones. Well kept, clean, worth the stop. Well priced for kids, but the adult price is a bit steep. I …
The place is nice and can be fun for kidz. But i did not find it that inetresting to visit. Did not regret goin there though. Have to admit the miniature figures were done very well.
This place never gets old! It is so detailed, I always catch something new. I first was here as a 9 or 10-year-old. Been half a dozen times since. Still love it! Brought my kids, and even my 2-year-old loved it (especially the trains).
Super interesting for adults. But need to be more interactive for kids. A few simple bottoms are not enough for kids.
Neat little place that showcases a lot of historical events and a bunch of fantasy. Really incredible the amount of work that can go into recreating these model
Purchased tickets on the website for Wednesday February 23rd. When we arrived, we found they were closed. Many other families had also purchased tickets for that day, only to be disappointed about the unexpected closure. I am waiting for a refund. There is no way to contact the museum--the phone number goes through to an automated message saying "this person's voicemail is disabled, you cannot leave a message." No email address listed on the website. Very unprofessional.
If you love history and seeing it in a different way, this is the place. And love that there was a section on king Arthur
Great place for kids or adults. Showing is its age but still fun.
Long weekend on Vancouver Island and this little museum was a block from our hotel. We stopped by late on a Friday night (hey - we are in our 40s and one of us doesn't drink or like bars, so our options are limited). It was interesting. There are different themes and within those themes, there are different model making techniques and scales. Some of it is interactive - push the button - so the kids, especially little ones - would definitely like it. Personally, I wouldn't go back but I am glad I went. That is only because the displays don't change and there are so many other things to see in Victoria.
Enjoyed the displays. Got somewhat crowded at times. NO bathrooms available .
Great place to take the kids or anyone who enjoys models and miniatures. The dioramas are amazing.
This place was friggin awesome. It looks kinda , "ehh I donno" at first glance, but we spent a good chunk of time just trying to find all the little details that people have put into these MASSIVE, displays. If you love model making, neat animated scenes, and history, please check this out!
Didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly suprised. Amazing dioramas and history.
Interesting and good details in every dioramas. Awesome!
Impressive. As a non miniature enthusiast (like my wife). I was taken a back by the displays. Great for kids. I did need a beer afterwards though.
Quite a bit if hype for something that's only marginally worth seeing. The price is pretty steep and the little mini worlds, while some are awesome and intricate, others are pretty "meh" and you can cruise by pretty quickly. I love miniature things, so I was excited to go, but for the hype and the price it wasn't all that awesome
Good way to spend an hour or so. Some very well made and detailed miniatures, some near the middle not so much, but a must see if you find detailed miniatures interesting!
Very enchanting! Very well curated and cared for. I highly recommend spending a few hours of your time here!!
This place is fantastic! There are many displays, each one beautiful and detailed. The future section is pretty great. The displays on fairy tales and from novels are magnificent. I love them. The whole family had fun here. If we lived on the island we would have gotten a year membership. Lots to see here, lots of great information also. I'll be going again.
Too many recordings playing at the same time. Most exhibits are nicely done. Place is in need of updating. With the prices they are charging they should really consider self guided tours with earphones instead of blasting the recordings where they compete with each other and overwhelm guests with noise.
Awesome, definitely worth visiting no matter the age
Some impressive displays, definitely worth a visit for anyone with an interest in miniatures
My kids loved the experience, mostly the trains. I need to go again but without kids to really enjoy the explanations behind each diorama.
Absolutely awesome displays of dioramas. Classic historic scenes can be found next to depictions of fairy tales and the legend of king Arthur. All in more detail than one could comprehend.
A truly must see if you are into miniatures. Highly recommend taking at least two hours to see everything and find all of the hidden Easter eggs.
Interesting place to visit. The workers could use a class or two on how to be customer service oriented. Their attitudes sucks.
Really cool placement with even moveable pieces that move when you press a button miniature world is a great place to go with the world war 2 section civil war the kings of the round table and a long section that is a fair this place. But my personal favorite would have to be the train just because of the landscape behind it but in other words this place is family freindy and clean
This awesome place. My 4yo daughter loved it.
A little expensive for a family but rather enjoyable. Kids had a good time and there were interesting miniatures from the war era and such. Killed a couple of hours here.
Outstanding attention to detail and strong variety of exhibits. Great for all ages.
Kids imagination go wild here. Love to listen to their stories as they walk around the exhibits.
Way better than expected. Great for little kids. You can see the painstaking work of the miniture artist(s). Worth the entry price.
Would definitely recommend a visit here! With the beauty of the displays and the rich context behind them, the museum definitely has something to offer for everyone. We spent around 45 minutes going through the displays, which was not quite enough to explore everything in full. The rule of having a 5-minute wait between groups due to COVID is reasonable but led to long lineups outside the venue. Be sure to allocate enough time for a wait, especially on the weekends!
Words fail to describe this wonderful "mini" place. No comparison to thr madsive Hamburg miniature but still this place holds its own. It captures history from world war 1 to modern day north america, particularly CANADA. You have to see it to feel the "miniature" of it all.
Great experience exploring different worlds and a bit of history. It was fun to observe details while matching the captions.
Their railway exhibits were very informative. Very detailed miniature displays.
I enjoyed it when I was a kid and enjoyed today's definitely a must see!
The miniatures are very well made with a great emphasis on detail and giving each set its own context in the museum.
My first visit was in 1975, and I loved it then and still love it now. Word of advice, if you are taller than 4'8" crouch down and look at things from a child height, things look even cooler from their perspective!!
Fun little place, especially if you have kids. The voiceovers were a bit outdated but overall, a decent place to add to your itinerary.
If you have any childlike wonder left in you at all, you need to go here! 2 hours wandering around and there was still so many little details still to see!! AMAZING!!
The whole family had fun. Very friendly staff and the exhibit area is very well cared for and clean.
On a rainy afternoon in Victoria this is a good thirty min to one hour break... Fun diaramas covering various eras. Not the cheapest place for what it is but still good.
Good place to learn history while looking for Easter eggs within the models.
Really interesting exhibits, awesome detail. Good value attraction worth visiting.
So Very Epic!!
This is very great place to visit! The staff was friendly. Very cool models set up to explore. I would recommend this to anyone.
Such a fun little place. Very enjoyable. We loved all of the interactive displays and the attention to detail in the dioramas. I was fascinated by the miniature lumber mill, and although they cant run the display due to fire regulations, watching the video was really neat. Better than I expected and highly recommended!
Been coming here since I was a kid with my grandpa. Now I take my boys there. Love it still and so do they. The season pass is a great steal btw!
Very cool exhibitions. It would be nice if glass was anti reflective to take good pics and if there were small worlds where you can take picture behind them as they showcase on the website but it is not true because all the exhibitions are enclosed on glass
Amazing place! My family had a great time here.
Revisited this local gem, over the weekend. I was just a kid, the last time I visited. Takes me back to many fond memories. I think I can credit this place to instilling my love for the miniature hobby, which were reaffirmed as I could spend a little more time looking at and appreciating all the work that went into the various exhibits. Some parts are definitely showing its age, but there's a certain nostalgic charm to that! Thank you!
Way more interesting than we expected. Some of the displays are remarkably detailed - especially looking inside buildings. I think even Warhammer figurine painters would be impressed with the scale of some displays. Coolest part were the …
As a bit of a miniature fan myself I figured I would enjoy this. And I freaking LOVED IT! The huge variety of displays and quality of the presentations made this an experience I'll never forget. Also I dragged my boyfriend along and he got a kick out of it too. 12/10 an absolute banger of an afternoon date!
Absolutely worth checking out. The amount of detail and effort put into their miniatures is amazing.
Small and cosy place for a good time... Not all items are having the wow factor or not worthy of a picture (not so attention to detail )... Overall ratings go down because of expensive entry ticket... Which is common for all places of interest in Victoria and Vancouver ( a small refreshments section / vending machine might be of help to the visitors) ...... Also there should be numbering system so customer knows how much left or how far he has seen.
This place is really fun. Expect to spend at least 2 hours if you plan to immerse yourself in the entire mini world. The models are interactive and very informational. Will definitely visit this place again when we are in Victoria.
Very detailed and intricate designs, models and dioramas. 10/10 recommend if you're just looking for something to do for the day, even if you have other plans the whole walk-through roughly takes an hour, depending on how fast or slow you walk and how many photos you take...or how long it takes you to walk away from many of the awesome displays. Perfect for kids, engaging for everyone, and ideal for any kind of enthusiast.
This museum is must see in Victoria! Amazing and unforgettable!!!
Perfect for kids under 5 years of age. Though short but very informative and enlightening for all age groups especially kids. My 2 year old son was fascinated with the moving pieces on each of the displays.
Very cool and must see in Victoria. Worth the ticket price and good for both adults and kids
Amazing, extremely detailed miniatures that show master craftsmen at their absolute best.
Lovely glimpse of Canadian history in a mini world. Great details in every piece.
You can't beat this place on a cold rainy day. A Victoria institution and you can spend hours, or even a whole day on the highly detailed displays and their accompanying stories
Such a cute place!!! So much details and fun way to spend an hour.
This place was really cool! It had so many awesome attractions!
This place is awesome. And make sure you reserve at least 2-3 hours minimum. I got lost in the mini worlds and felt in love with all the wondeful details...
Lots of nicely made miniatures. My favorite was the Swiss family Robinson exhibit.
Absolutely delightful imaginarium. Extraordinary detail, scope and artistry. Some displays better than others, but that is to be expected. History and literature lessons that awaken childlike wonder. Not just for children. I am told they have holidays scavenger hunts to seek out the Santas or pumpkins. You have to see this for yourself to comprehend how marvelous it is.
Based on my personal experience that is my opinion: Range 0 - 10 Service or Product: 10 Customer service: 8 Environment: 9 Cleaning: 8 Washroom: N/A Cost: 7 I liked that place. I have been there at least twice. I really recommend it.
Just fantastic! Takes about 1 hour, it's an amazing way to kill some time downtown. The way they tell the story of Canada's history and overall attention to detail in the story and the dioramas is worth seeing. The scale sawmill was phenomenal, I wish I could see it run.
Lots of entertainment for <$20!
I went to Miniature World for the first time awhile back, and I was blown away. At first when I heard about it, I thought it would be a place that wasn’t super interesting or entertaining, but I was very wrong. All the displays and so intricate and intriguing, down to the finest detail. I love the displays that are interactive and move, it really adds to the whole exhibit. If you’re visiting Victoria and you’re looking for a fun, indoor tourist attraction, I would highly recommend checking out this place. I’ve only been once and I want to go back! It’s money very well spent!
Too many recordings playing at the same time. Most exhibits are nicely done. Place is in need of updating. With the prices they are charging they should really consider self guided tours with earphones instead of blasting the recordings where they compete with each other and overwhelm guests with noise.
Quite dated attraction that hasn't been updated since its opening. Still as a local I like visiting since the historic side of the displays obviously will never need changing. Also has some interaction capabilities for smaller children to keep them entertained.
Really cool place! At the beginning it looks as a place for kids but it is actually for everyone. Is much bigger than I thought.
Amazing. Each area was themed. There was second world war, doll houses, Christmas, Buckingham Palace, Circus. My favourite was the tiny window washers. See if you can find them.
Amazing place to visit with the little ones! So many things to see (and buttons to push!). There are lots of different worlds, all more interesting than the one before. We spent a good 30-40 minutes there. Would come again for sure!
Very fun trip through various points in history, educational and fun. The detail in the exhibits is astounding.
Awesome place for kids off all ages!
Very nice, a lot of incredibile diorama, loved the old Vancouver Gastown one , the world war 2 and Camelot ones are just amazing
Fantastic figurines and structures! Some cool replicas of early day Canadian cities.
My partner and I really enjoyed the exhibits! The amount of detail put into each of the scenes was amazing, plus the historical context was interesting and educational. I highly recommend for all ages!
This place is a whole vibe. Here you can see the complete Canada at one place. Staff out there is so nice. People who love to explore new things and history must visit.
Anazing displays & dioramas! A must see when visiting Victoria!
Leave your self a good two to three hours to view it all. Quite amazing
This place is awesome, blew my mind how much detail goes into these.
Honey, I found the shrunken world! This museum is shockingly detailed and is the product of over Thirty artists working together in the snap shots of life in stunning displays. A solid recommenation if you're downtown with some time to spare, an hour can allow for a solid walk through but you'll probably want to stay a little longer to fully take it in. Perfect for all ages and a great way to learn new things about the world or reminisce about the days of old!
I would give 4.5 if I could. There are a lot of very detailed displays and there's definitely something for everyone. It gets a little uncomfortable if it's busy. Friendly staff.
Definitely, a must see in Victoria for all ages! The sets are so detailed and perfect! Spend some extra time observing them closely for a delightful experience.
Loved the displays but the 5 minute space between groups causes long line ups.
1st time visiting, and will be back again. The detail in each setting was amazing. Highly recommend it to young and old.
Nice little inside adventure during the rain.
Amazing place, the level of details, stories, light effects just incredible. There is even some European castles replicas, including one from Poland :) Your kids will love it
It is worth appreciating the amount of details that were put on each display, and it is something that you could stare and look at for a while. I enjoyed the story telling component that were depicted in each scene/display, and it is something you should visit if you're in the area.
I had such a great time at miniature world! I wasn’t expecting to spend so much time there, but everything was so engaging that we wanted to look at everything! I absolutely recommend checking it out if you have some time to kill :)
This was a fun place to visit, and some of the diorama displays were fantastic. The historical and railway scenes were especially good. The museum does end rather abruptly, immediately putting on the street, which was bizarre. Other than that, it was a fun way to spend an hour.
Loved the visit. Seeing the detail was amazing. Highly recommended!
This was the best place ever! You need to go and check it out. Even if you have kids, don't have kids, are a child at heart, a history buff, it does not matter. . Once you walk in, you will understand this post! Have fun! P.S. don't put a time limit on it.
Such a great place to go with the kids. You can go through quickly if you like, but we preferred to take our time and look at as much of everything as possible.
Very interesting place, wonderfully crafted and very entertaining.
Must visit this place.it's nice experience, specially for kids
Omg amazing. I had mixed feelings about this, maybe it's a tourist trap? Maybe it's too small or too expensive? Miniature world is a huge exhibit. It will easily take 2-3 hours if you're reading all the placards and drinking in the intricacy of the displays. You can also breeze through in an hour and still leave floored. I love the retro feel of this place. The entrance is an old subway car leading into the space world. Read the placards son! Then into a civil war, world war 2 world. From there you can explore the Canadian railway, fairy tales and King Arthur. The artists who've created the miniatures seem to have been active in the 70's. the verbiage they use is reminiscent of the time and a refreshing change from the MTV generation. This is easily one of the best things you'll do in victoria.
Great miniature world they have setup. Looks so real. Must take kids.
Want to experience something different? Just go there and experience. Honestly, I don't want to reveal the excitement of this place. You will feel like a giant (like Kingkong) when you are going to see everything in a miniature. You can enjoy the history of civilization with detailed piece of art. One suggestion : Grab a coffee and then enjoy, it will keep you focused.
Worth to be here! Amazing
This is one of my families favorite places in the downtown core. We have been taking both our children there since they were very small, and they still enjoy it. I have literally been here probably around 50 times. I love kitsch and this fits right in. I like looking for all the miniature nudity in the displays because it makes me laugh to think about a little old lady painting the privates on the model. My favorite section is the circus, and my children love the newest King Arthur section.
My 9 year old loved this! You can still interact with the buttons during covid as they provide gloves that you must wear, which still allows for a fun and safe experience.
Absolutely fantastic. I love miniatures and to think of the patience and effort that took place in order to create each scene so meticulously. It is a captivating experience for all ages!!
Absolutely a great place to visit! It’s really amazing! Prepare at least 4 hours there otherwise you won’t able to finish all of them.
Great way to see scenes from all angles
Super fun, for all ages too! I couldn’t believe all the detail put into the exhibits. Definitely give this place a go, you won’t regret it!
Friendly and understanding.
The details that was put into the exhibits was spectacular. Additionally the price is great, a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.
Felt like a kid again lol!
Great place for kids and adults. The dioramas are impressive. Just took 5 middle schoolers there while up in Victoria for a field trip, and they loved it.
This place is entirely fine a s a cute, goofy way to kill 45 minutes in downtown Victoria, although overpriced.
This place is amazing!! The work that goes into the miniatures really is something to see
Fantastic entertainment! A must see. I particularly liked the miniature sawmill.
It was a great experience. More displays than I expected. My 4 grandchildren really enjoyed it too.
My granddaughter is 5, she loved it, so did I ❤️????
It was so awesome! Not a museum guy but since I had nothing better to do since it was raining, decided to check this place out n I'm glad we did.. Recommend about 90 mins to 2 hours for this place. We had to rush through since our parking time was expiring.. I believe kids 3 and up will also love this place. Tickets are a bit pricy but so worth it!
This place is unique, incredible and you will enjoy spending time at this place. I was not a big fan of the Miniature World until I visited here myself. If you are planning a trip to Victoria, it is worth spending your time and money here.
Very fun and interesting with kids and if you enjoy attention to detail.
A wonderful surprize.
So much fun. If you look closely at the dioramas, you may be able to see some naughty details. I love a well made diorama and this place is full of them!
Very small $@_#@. History. Very cool.
Must visit if you want to see the transformation of all the major town and cities. They made this exceptionally well. Will definitely recommend to all of my friends and others.
I can guess why only 4.5 stars. Poor service Closed on a Saturday , and we came all the way from Vancouver. Been waiting for half an hour , will it open .
Love love this place! It is always a must stop when in Victoria. Staff is friendly and helpful on where to go after this great stop.
Beautiful exhibition with so much detail. Fun for everyone
Amazing. I had some doubt but once you’re in it it’ll blow your mind. So great.
Sheer epicness. If you enjoy history and miniature models, this is a great place to check out. It has scenes from the World Wars, American Civil War, history of Canadian cities, to Native scenes, among others. Even fantasy worlds are covered from classic fairy tales to spaceships. There is a whole section dedicated to the legend of King Arthur. Most of the models have buttons you can press to see changes such as daytime to nighttime, send a miniature train running through the tracks or spinning the propellers of warplanes. Tr hour or so I spent there is well worth it. Photos and videos are encouraged!
This place is absolutely incredible there are so many amazing details and different types of erras, decads, absolutely something for everyone hardest part is not staying for 5 hrs so you see literally every miniature statue and funny thing or cool interactive buttons. My only gripe is there's talking about the exhibits but extremely hard to hear and focus on due to it being an overhead speaker would love to have small speakers by the exibit would love to go back!!
No
Would really recommend this place, especially if you have kids. Can spend 2-3 hours inside on a rainy day no problem, and kids will be busy all the time.
Really cool place! At the beginning it looks as a place for kids but it is actually for everyone. Is much bigger than I thought.
It is an amazing place .you see Canada history unfold in front of you., but it's on a miniature version
Loved it. Such fantastic displays and the workmanship put into them was top notch. Highly recommend. Huge fan of the trains and the circus display in particular.
This was so much fun! I great place to see history and explore time with someone you love!!
Miniature World had several themes throughout, a lot of it history. My 3 grandsons had a great time pushing buttons and watching things move. It was worth the time.
loved it. Absolutely got my money's worth. Got some sweet pictures and was an amazing addition to the vacation. It was nice and cool inside, the different genres were so nice. It fit in so well, my personal favorite was fantasy. Such great …
We thought this museum was for kids, but it was actually very interesting. Someone really put a lot of effort here, and the details were spectacular.
I like the small details that artists put into their creations. Fun to see even if you are an adult. You can spend approx. 1 hour here.
It's a beautiful timeless miniature world of small plants, houses and gardens. I wish I could have met the owner of the house and chat with them. What creativity, patience, and with much love the different sceneries were designed and built and maintained over the years. It's a wonderful magical place that I will always remember as part of my journey through Victoria, BC, and a place where I would like to visit again and again.
This place is really cool! Might be too much all at once for a small child because the models are so intricate and detailed. Probably most appropriate for ages 8+
As a child, I remember going to Miniature World several times during my stay in Victoria more than 20 years ago. I remember being fascinated by the details and history lessons in a snapshot. I had a short attention span, but my interest of history made this place last hours for me. I still remember this place and I'm so happy it's still open. I cannot wait to visit again in my adult life.
Love it. Can’t get enough. Details of the display are amazing. Money worth spent. For sure reccomend to others. Will visit again when back to Victoria. ????????
What an experience we had. This is the must visit place, i bet you wont be able get everything out of your head even when you get home; i wonder what kind of mastermind has created those tiny little people and those small details. Oh my god, I still can’t get over the experience I had. One visit wasn’t even enough. I sure am gona see that place again. Hats off to all those talented people who have created these models.
I was a little hesitant to be honest about this place but they were quickly erased from the first room. The miniature displays were wonderful and amazing to see. Take the time, look at everything, the detail is amazing, you won't be disappointed.
neat but a little limited. Attraction ends on street without access back in. bathroom is in middle of attraction.
A very detailed museum with miniatures ranging from historical events to dollhouses. The quality does vary, but generally the miniatures are fairly high quality and very well made. The working saw mill was very impressive, as well as the …
Definitely a must if you visit Victoria. Fun for adults and kids of all ages. Explore historical moments along with some fairy tales....
Thankful no Vax pass so me and my family could enjoy this awesome place. It's a family favourite and our 5 year old absolutely loved it.
Lots of fun scenes, lots of was scenes. I really liked the sci-fi scenes, with a plot described.
This place was very fun and had some super detailed models. Everything was perfect other then the staff at the front desk. They were just rude. Otherwise, great place.
Many well accurately created miniature worlds ranging deep space to history an fairy tales.
Amazing place and the miniatures are so detailed. Very cool!
Surprisingly good. The detail is so tremendous. Kids loved it and the rest of the people seemed to be on dates (awwww!)
Interesting and good details in every dioramas. Awesome!
Couldn't believe what I was seeing, my daughter was as amazed as I was, beautiful miniature worlds, visit this place is a must.
It's quite fun to spend a few hours here. There are buttons you can play and made the miniature models move.
I went there with a friend’s family with my two daughters. It was a walk in and we had to wait around 15 minutes in the queue to get in. By the time we entered, we bought tickets online and the mini-world inside were amazing. Many were like good quality school projects we used to make during our middle or high school. Seceral displays covered WWWI destruction, several wars, story of King Arthur, industries and what not. I do not like museums but I liked this one and so did my daughters. It's not too expensive, so it was okay to visit. We liked this place and those miniature scenic displays, running trains, flying butterflies, moving miniature cars and what not :-)
Miniature world offers am incredible view and perspective on everything! Themes include the World Wars, colonial times, city history and development, medieval folklore, Disney characters and scenes, forestry and industry, space and fantasy, circus play, and so much more! Each world was completed with excruciating detail. Remember to look okay the world's from all different points of views: from the top, bottom, left, right, up close, from afar, you name it! It's too difficult to fathom how much time and energy was spent on each world. I hope you genuinely appreciate the amount of detail that goes into each world! If there are buttons, push them! Some displays offer interactive content. You can easily spend a couple hours in the miniature world is you wanted to.
It's very cool and interactive! They have these buttons for you to push and certain things move. I also think the trains are pretty cool LOL Very good if you haven't went yet!
Awesome place to go if you are interested in all things small! Super great place to bring kids if you are looking to kill some time or if you just want to walk around and look at tiny stuff! Awesome displays with very detailed and intricate designs! Easy to read descriptions, entire place is very well lit. Been many times and will return many times to look at tiny things.
Amazing place. The miniatures are so beautiful, and you will learn a lot of history through out the visit
I really enjoyed the miniatures but boy I didn’t much like the amount of people. Guess that’s the price of a popular place. I also would have loved to have a seat with wheels because being low makes the sets a lot more fun to look at for me. And it was uncomfortable for me as a 6’ person bending over.
possibly one of the most interesting places i have ever seen. everyone must see this place
I would definitely recommend this as a great way to spend a sunday. We enjoyed all the displays and wish we could have stayed longer.
Honestly this was the highlight of my trip to Victoria. We did a lot but this was by far the most unique thing!
Excellent displays! The whole family enjoyed this place. The detail of the exhibits is amazing!
The customer service of this place was very disappointing. As a tourist we were very excited to visit but they did not let let us in despite of being there at 4:15pm. Please train the staff well for how to talk to customers and provide them with right service. We understand due to pandemic protocols have changed but there should be a right way to communicate them to customers, shouting and being disrespectful is not the right way.
Its great fun for kids and really cool for adults. Id definitely recommend it for families with young kids
We have 12, 8 and 5 year old boys. Each one found something they enjoyed as did the adults. Much better than anticipated and worth spending 1.5 to 2 hours.
Worthwhile for time and money spent, the idea n art of creation is just fabulous.
Impressive models and stories
I liked it. Quite suprising once inside to see the ammount of detail throughout. Features include wars, fairy tales, cities and countries through time all featured in minature. Seemed to be a hit with all the visitors both young and old. Cost about $10 to get in.
This place definitely looks like it's been here forever but nevertheless quite enjoyable if you have some time to spare. The fairytale area was the best.
Really really fun expedience, they have so many displays! You can go back time after time and always discover something new! The whole area seems like it hasn't been changed since the 80s,but the decor is nevertheless nice : like stepping back in time! The adult ticket was $16 in Feb 2017
This place is awesome. Well worth the ntey fee especially if you like models, miniatures, model trains, doll houses, fairy tales, or Canadian history.
Amazing attraction, great for all ages. It's incredible the amount of detail put into all the diorama's, some of them are informative about historic events and kids love pressing the buttons that make things move.
If you're an avid fan of miniatures I encourage going. The sections are segmented into war reconstructions, old mansions, fairy tales, circus parade and legend of King Arthur. They had some pretty good measures during covid too.
Easy to navigate, lots of cool things to see and interact with. You can definitely tell the time to make everything was extensive.
Huge place. Amazing displays. Took lots of photos, could easily have spent two hours here but I was in a rush to move the car.
Extremely well detailed models - good for a rainy day
So cool!
We visited Victoria for a day. I heard that the place is great. We planned to go there assuming that it is òpen till 5. We have been there around 4:10 and the staff didn't let us in as they said the last show is on 4:15. I wish they had mentioned that somewhere and the staff would have been more friendly at least.
Everything prepared for the Covid-19 era, you can still enjoy this amazing place when you visit Victoria
Great place with wonderful dioramas and dollhouses. The stories that are told are very interesting. Press all the buttons to see the animations. It's worth going to
For a family of 4(2 kids 2 adults) it cost us $50, a little pricey but definitely a must see and worth the price. Kids loved every minute of it and there was a TON of details to look at.
So cool!!! It’s a little old and cheesy, but it was my favorite place in Victoria. I recommend eating beforehand because you could spend a lot of time here. I was there for over two hours and could have extended it a bit longer if I hadn’t been so hungry. The only negative thing is that they play recordings talking about the historical displays - and multiple recordings are playing near each other. Maybe wear ear plugs or headphones? My brain was freaking out for a bit due to all the sound.
Awesome place! I am an adult and had a ton of fun here.
Awesome place to take a little guy or girl. Trains and planes!

This place sucks. It didn't really amuse me at all. And also, really, that expensive?! It's a totally outrageous price for such a exhibit. I thought it will be nice, but it made me enraged. This visit to Miniature World was absolutely outrageous. Super disappointing and boring trip.... I SPENT $53.00 ON A USELESS TRIP! ONE STAR FOR SURE!
Cute little place, if you like listening to stories and have about an hour to spent visit this place.
Fantastic place to visit if you appreciate craftsmanship and/or history. Also great for kids. The place is a little old fashioned and I hope one day it can be refreshed a bit with some new displays.
A long established tourist attraction located at the side of the Fairmont Empress Hotel. Great place that may be of interest for the kids. Prices are a bit high for what is offered, but if you want to save some money you can look at the window displays in their entrance and on the street.
Fun and original. Was a trip through an "art form" that us decidedly on the wane.
Spent over 2hrs at miniature world & could have taken longer to really see everything. So interesting, a fun and interactive attraction that helped us, adult and child, to learn a lot. Recommend!
Wasn't sure what to think of this place but read the reviews and decided to go. We were blown away at all the miniatures especially the space themed one.
Beautiful place for all ages. My wife, my 13 months old son, and my son all loved it. So many details to watch in an interactive way
Beautiful and super interesting collections. Lots of detail on each. I absolutely recommend for adults and kids. Highly recommended ✌✌
I just loved this place. Its is so much fun to be in a miniature world.
No
The detail that has gone into each diorama is incredible. Take your time to examine each one. Something for everyone.
I've lived in Victoria for years and never bothered to go as I didn't think I would be impressed. Well was I ever wrong. I was totally blown away. What an amazing amount of things to see in a small space. Great for the kids and grown ups too.
Everything is small size.
Budgeted an hour here, but easily could have spent more. Lots of stuff happening in each scene with lots of small funny details to discover.
Amazing display!. Great time lines and historical aspects. The fantasy scenes are fun too. This is a very unique and special place. I could have spent a day here taking in all the details. It's been 23 years since I was here last and I was pleased to see old favourites as well as new ones!. I hope to visit again one day.
My daughter had a lot fun here.
Really great place. So wonderfully put together and so intresting. Would visit again.
Really cool and fun place. Went there with my sister and we were amazed.
Amazing experience...awesome displays of miniatures with too much detailing. Loved the Circus world.
Amazing! Great little museum fun for adults and kids!
Very fun. Lots to see. Great for kids and kid at heart.
The place is very nice and super cool.
My favourite part is the fairy land.
Wow! Its so detailed and amazing!
I wasn’t very excited about this visit mainly because there was a line up and then we had to split our rather large party in order to comply with covid 19 guidelines. On the other hand the kids really enjoyed it and had a lot of fun.
Beautiful place. Fun for whole family
Brilliant place to bring kids. A must see attraction.
Loved it!!! The attention to detail is amazing! Well worth $16CA
Fascinating for adults as many of the displays are various war era stories. There isn't really much for younger children.
Lovely place, right downtown Victoria! Exquisite details with varied displays, cities, WWII, dolls houses, Camelot, fantasy land.
Spent about 45 mins inside. Recommend not to go there close to 4pm, cuz there will be a long line up and you might not get the chance to enter. It's a really cool place to visit in Victoria Downtown. Proximity to Fairmont hotel, Royal BC museum, etc.
I love this place, it was perfect for my 6-year-old son. We spent 2.5 hours talking about history.
You won't believe your eyes! This detailed exhibit will leave you breathless!
We were all amazed, was a way better experience than thought.
We weren't very impressed with Minature world. Some of the exhibits were interesting but everything was so old and dusty. There were plastic plants throughout and all were covered in dust. Quite a few of the buttons did nothing, assume they were broken. It's obvious they want revenue from visitors but there's no interest in maintenance or keeping it clean. The lady who sold the tickets said it would take about 1hr to see everything, we saw everything and it took only 15mins. Which for $45 entry was a pretty steep price! Also, when you get to the last exhibit, you go through an exit door and it goes right out onto the street!
1st time visiting, and will be back again. The detail in each setting was amazing. Highly recommend it to young and old.
Amazing place.. really worth it.. such wonderful pieces of art..
Amazing, very detailed models
Cute, air conditioned, with a lot of great content. Probably better for families, but even as a DINK 31 year old I enjoyed the 45 minute romp through. Restrooms available about halfway through.
The exhibits were excellent with great workmanship and minute details. I easily spent about 2.5 hours there. The walking path is one-way only so when it's pretty crowded you probably won't be able to backtrack. The WW2 exhibits were right at the start and I thought they were one of the best of all the exhibits, so do take your time before moving on to the next since you can't move back to see it again!
Fantastic experience for people of all ages! I really, really hope that guests continue to be spaced out every 5 minutes. We had an even better experience this time with fewer people crowding around things + the kids get a chance to try everything out and see everything without having to wait as long. The displays are amazing, as are the stories that go along with them. Suggest not rushing through, so that all of the incredible details can be appreciated. We wanted to go back again the next day, but there was quite a line-up. We look forward to returning again on our next trip to Victoria.
Fun place to run through with the family. A great review of history in miniture
Great place to bring kids...
Fun for kids. Exquisite work!
Very cool!!! The whole family enjoyed it - from kids to grandparents.
Some really great displays.... Gulliver is creepy though... Lol
Fun place, has a lot of cool scenes
Haven't been there in 19 years and it was still as amazing as ever. Highly recommend.
This was a lot of fun. Yes, it's not a massive space but there is so much detail in every display. There was the added bonus of looking for the 6 Santa Clauses in the displays... we only found 4 but it was like Where's Waldo. Pretty cool... lots of kids there too.
Huge place. Amazing displays. Took lots of photos, could easily have spent two hours here but I was in a rush to move the car.
Miniature World is a collection of aging dioramas. It was kind of fascinating and mundane all at the same time.
We really enjoyed our visit with a 4 year old. The 70 year old man behind us was also amazed.
Nice dioramas with a good dollop of history.
It was interesting and fun but I find some kids to get very bored a little around half way to almost done
A amazing array of scenes from history, real lives of real people and fairytales. The detail in each scene is amazing and photos can be taken.
Such a nice option of entertaiment. I wanna come back with my son as soon is possible. They have student discount, family discount or adult taxes, you can check wich one are avaiable to you with the mrs .
Ideal for families and tourists. Went with friends for her birthday and we had a ton of unexpected fun.
A nice place with many historical things would recommend it for people who like history. Also price was low
Great place to go even if you don’t have kids! So many incredible displays, you just can’t believe all the detail.
Excellent miniatures of all kinds. Very realistic. Kept staring for an hour
So much fun. The details were on the dioramas we're amazing. Some very clever animatronics have been added at such small scale. There is a working miniature lumber mill! My family spent several hours going through the exhibits.
Went with a group of adults with disabilities and they didn't have to pay to see the exhibit. Awesome
the rooms might be miniature but the spirit of the construction staff and those who continue to run this establishment are the size of entire galaxy clusters!!! If i could live here I would. If I could atomize the dioramas and breathe it like oxygen I totally would. I can't get enouhg of King Arthurs court. EXcaliburrific!!
Always an awesome experience.
Been about 30 years since my last visit. Had a great time then had a great with my recent visit. Always amazing. A fun time for you and the kids.
Been about 30 years since my last visit. Had a great time then had a great with my recent visit. Always amazing. A fun time for you and the kids.
Went in with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. It's small so I recommend taking it very slow and enjoying the details of each exhibit. The first half is definitely the highlight.
Great place. My family and I had a lot of fun.
10–30 min
Exceeded expectations. My 4 year old absolutely loved it. Great for a family outing.
A stunning variety of delicately crafted miniature models of subjects throughout history and fantasy
Excellent and Stunning Miniatures. I was the only one in my group you wanted to go but everyone ended up loving it and everything was just so amazing!
How does one have a steady enough hand to actually paint the little people in the display? Went with my girlfriend and it was completely amazing both had a wonderful time and spent about 2 hours there. Definitely appreciate the time it must take to make the displays and when they say 80 it honestly seems like more sinice some of them are massive. Will be going back if I am in Victoria. Also the admission price is more then fair for what is offered.
Wow very beautiful & detail work
Not only fun but educational and insightful. They pack a lot in a small amount of space. It's definitely a must see. Nice job and the attention to detail is wonderful. This place is great for anybody in the mindset looking to enjoy a quiet walk about miniatures and admire the details. I was here with my 1 year old son in a stroller. For him he had less of an enjoyable time because he was too young to appreciate these detailed miniatures. I would definitely come again when he's a little older. It's a "chill" experience, so go in expecting that kind of pace. This isn't the place you want to bring hyper active kids. Enjoy!
Love going to miniature world! They always have great displays that are very well done plus some awesome history.
It great learning history, a lot of buttons to press which turns trains on etc. Kids had a ball. Kids must visit if you are here with family.
We had so much fun at Miniature World!!! Incredibly interesting tiny replicas of different times in history and even a dip into fantasy and folklore. Hours of family fun!!!
Good job executed by department Must visit to gain history Working models make it attractive Great place to explore in Victoria
Couldn't believe what I was seeing, my daughter was as amazed as I was, beautiful miniature worlds, visit this place is a must.
What a neat place! Well prepared for Covid, but it was so hot we were collecting pools of sweat in our mandatory gloves and under our masks. Maybe AC would be helpful.
Quite nice for a rainy day but nothing compared to Miniature Wonderland in Hamburg. I liked the historical dioramas but some just looked like they were made 30 years ago. Take your kids there.
Awesome miniature displays!
This place was really cool, the cashier at the front was really friendly and the place was awesome. There were so many intricate dioramas and displays its a must go place once in your life.
Such a great place to go with the kids. You can go through quickly if you like, but we preferred to take our time and look at as much of everything as possible.
They say you can see it in 45 minutes, but we were there for 3 and a half hours and could have used more.
Absolutely amazing. The detail in each miniature is exceptional. My family and I highly recommend going there with your family. Lots of fun
Great experience. There are so many detail diaramas, we could spend hours there with the kids if allowed.
It took us over an hour to go through this museum. Its is so fascinating to see all the little displays. They have so much detail. The scenes are so near to look at and they all are just beautiful. Tou can learn a lot here
Great see the history in a unique way. Glad to see miniature form of Calgary 1885 and Toronto 1915.
Something for everyone here, I was captivated by the WW2 scenes whilst the kids loved the fairy tale scenes and doll houses. The interactive scenes kept my daughter entertained throughout and both my wife and I loved reading about each display. Our baby son even had fun, watching things light up and move around. I only wish I had the patience and skill to create scenes like this myself, I'd never leave the house!
The amount of handcrafted detail was pretty damn amazing. Went in with low expectations and was blown away.
A place that worth a stay of an hour or two, everything is build to detail. Definitely worth a go!
Awesome place. Incredible structure. Good activity in Victoria downtown
Better than I remember
So much fun! It is impressive how entertaining it could be to admire all the detail and work of these pieces. It’s definitely a must-watch while you visit Victoria.
Fun and unique! Our family really enjoyed this experience and would definitely be back. We participated in the Hidden Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt which was a really fun way to view the exhibit. The facility is clean and centrally located. Friendly staff. A great attraction and worth the visit.
The amount of details in the models are just mind blowing. Some models have components that move when pressing a button. Some areas have lighting changes that mimic changes from day and night.
Don’t miss this if you have kids ; i love the precision & detailing they have provided to all the displays. Worth your money
Fantastic place to visit. There are a lot going on inside m, tons of displays to see, and it’s a very family friendly place so your kids will certainly have tons of fun as well.
Very fun and unique place. Great indoor activity.
One of a kind experience. Definitely a must place to visit in Victoria. This place makes you feel like a Giant! Recommended for Macro Photographers.
More interesting than you might think it will be. Spent about 90 minutes here. It was great and educational
Enjoyable. I took my 12 year old niece for her first time and she was just the right age to really appreciate all the detail and fun. A shame there isn't more interaction but a good time anyway.
This was my 4th visit to the museum. I see something I've missed every time I go. It is a place for people of all ages to go. It is informative and interactive.
Highly recommend
Visited on
Simply amazing and well worth seeing. I loved it, & the kids loved it. So many different scenes that not only entertain but also educate. “Old school” in the best kind of way. It’s like “where’s Waldo” meets a museum.
Must go
This place is actually really really cool. They have some amazing displays and I would say it is definitely worth the price. Absolutely check this place out if you have a spare hour in Victoria!!!
Great things come in small sizes
Was nice
Awesome place. Lots of interesting things to see and learn. Interactive displays are well designed. Lots of fun especially if you are a kid.
Had fun. I would give it a 5 except the intercom narrative was too low. We couldn't hear it over voices of other guests and everyone was speaking low or whispers...so not cool.
Loved this place will go back another time so much to see very interesting
Was a fun place to see with kids. They might get bored fairly quickly if they aren't into museums and things of that nature. But worth it if you have a few hours to kill.
A lot of love seems to have gone into the place. The only issue is he size. If you get a dude that needs to drag 7 family members and wait 5 min at each box while they all gaek, you're pretty stuck
I have loved this place since I was a child now I bring my children here. It's a magical place hidden behind an unassuming door.
Everyone should do this experience at least once. There is nothing like it. Kids love it.
This was so much fun! I great place to see history and explore time with someone you love!!
As an adult this place blows me away with the amazingly detailed displays. The coast to coast railway is my favorite, but so many other fantastic scenes to take in. My kids love the place and talk about it all the time.
I was expecting a lot fewer displays, but there were more than what I expected. The price is quite expensive, but the mini dioramas are quite detailed and cool. The entrance fee is quite expensive as well but I do think it is worth it.
This place hasn't changed since I was a kid. It's a little dated bit still so much fun for me.t he workmanship is just amazing. Great place to take kids. I still go Everytime I'm in Victoria.
Always a fun stop! Just wish they had a gift shop with some miniatures. I always wish I could take a piece of it home.
Worth every penny. Nice to see historic events in miniature figures. Must visit!!
Certainly a lot of effort went into the displays. Some of the displays require attention as some items have fallen over. The experience would be most interesting to some while holding little to no value for others. I am unfortunately in the latter camp
The Experience was a Totally Top Shelf Experience. It surprised us how big it was, if you are interested in Past and Future Ages. It’s Beyond Amazing. We Loved It. Anticipate 1 to 1.3 Hours. Awesome!! Highly Recommended
I love this museum. Intricately designed dioramas with good SFX. Must see in Victoria but keep at least an hour and half to cover this museum.
Anica, the counterperson, is very welcoming & helpful. We enjoyed the displays and found some of the historical dioramas intriguing. It was well worth visiting this attraction in Victoria!
We really enjoyed the work put into this museum. Loved all of it.
The fairy tale miniature is especially cute. Front desk service is also nice. A cute place to visit.
We really enjoyed the work put into this museum. Loved all of it.
Amazing miniature displays. Fun for kids. Good place to get out of the rain.
A wonderful, carefully curated series of displays. Some of the materials are extremely dated in terminology, though they are aware. It's a bit expensive, but extremely unique. My kids wished the space section was bigger.
Been coming here since I was a kid with my grandpa. Now I take my boys there. Love it still and so do they. The season pass is a great steal btw!
Fantastic! Kids loved it. Sone of the displays were a bit dated, but overall was a good exhibit.
Amazing diaramas with night/day motion scenes with TONS of historical scenes and some fantasy too ????
That was kind of cool, I guess. Visited as two adults trying to get out of the rain.
What a trip to fantasy world!! Watching these shots from the early days of Canada, the US and the world, including the first and second world wars, as well as well known children's stories, is nothing short of amazing and similar to daydreaming while you're really awake. We spent over 2 hours there and wished we could stay more but we had a train to catch.
Its a great place to visit.
At the Age of nine I visited Victoria with my Grandmother we visited miniature world and still at 55 have wonderful memories of this Museum. The one thing I miss in photos is the Victorian house with the ghost walking trough the top floor. I live in A small town in ND USA Wishing I could take my family there to see what I saw
Weekday
A wonderful place to visit if you're in Victoria. Kudos to the people who have made it possible to recreate all the history in the world of miniatures
Really great experience here. Much larger than I expected. The details are amazing so take time to really investigate each display.
It's a fun little spot to visit on a rainy day.
Very interesting working models. The amount of work to put this miniature world together is fantastic. Very interesting to read about the American history and how Canada developed.
I like the small details that artists put into their creations. Fun to see even if you are an adult. You can spend approx. 1 hour here.
The amount of detail put into was awesome!!!
Absolutely fantastic!!! Just go!
Worth going in to here. Lots of great little miniatures. Was slightly disappointed about one exhibit unable to be run but likely an older exhibit everything is pretty interactive tho.
Was a great way to pass the time with a lot of fun and interesting displays. Fantastic place
It’s a must go place in Victoria. My favourite is the miniature of the local’s life.
