REVIEWS OF Harbourside Park IN Newfoundland and Labrador

It's a lovely place that reminds us of both the beauty of St. John's and the amazing history behind this place. It's never crowded and offers amazing views during day or night. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants some time to enjoy without too much of a crowd around.

St John's NL .Over looking the city from signal hill. The first thing you notice when you get on top of Signal hill is the vast advantage point the British had with this fortification at top the hill. This would have protected the city immensely. The view is vast in almost every direction for miles around. In a aria gone by to see any merchant ships approaching the harbour was important, with this sighting merchants were able to get to the docks and unload their merchandise.,important then as is to day.

I like to walk downtown with my dog especially in the summer. I start at the opposite end of this park. I walk the entire stretch, and grab a sandwich. Stop into the pet stop and head to this area. I don't consider it a park. But a great place to sit in the grass and enjoy a small lunch.

Prasoeur Suon

Fresh air, clean, very good vibe!!!!

Its a relatively small area. Especially compared to what I am used to in Halifax. But it was peaceful and quiet (unlike Halifax), with great views of the harbour, and many memorials, and displays such as the bronze statue and historic write-up display of the beloved "Newfoundland Dog". With so much waterfrontage, I was surprised at how little the city has allocated for public use.

Master iOqY

Well-designed parkette offerings views of the narrows with historical and informative plaques of St. John's and Newfoundland. The 1.5x life-sized statues of the 'Newfoundland' and 'Labrador' Retriever looking out to sea was very well done and a delight for kids and adults alike to climb on.

Judee Doyle

Nice and open park. Great views of ocean.

Kevin W

Great little park with self guided story boards. Two dog statues explaining the Newfoundland and Labrador dog breads along with ship plaques. Plenty of seating area. Great place to learn a little St. John's history.

Brent

Includes moving tributes to soldiers, cool statues of Newfoundland dogs, and a great view of the ships docked along the harbour.

Brian Hatcher

Small green space in east end of downtown St. John's. Sports a great view of The Narrows looking out to open ocean. Able to sit in the many park benches and view the south side of Signal Hill. Park often attracts musical acts and other small venues during. Directly across from the War Memorial its worth a visit especially during warmer weather.

Life is Better On Vacation

We enjoyed our ice cream from the Newfoundland Chocolate Factory in the park. You can watch the activity in the harbour from here. We liked the Newfoundland and Labrador dog statues. We were later surprised to see a matching pair of dog statues outside the GEO Centre as you head up Signal Hill.

Sascha Guenther

Nice area to sit down for a break, wish it had more benches in the shade

Cute mini park; perfect for a touristy photoshoot with the Narrows in the background. A few broken fixtures, but they have ramps to make it more wheelchair accessible which is good.
