Hands on experiences with nature and short walking trail. Definitely worth a trip each season, good bookshop, programs, event and friendly staff.

The best part was the views and the specimens; photos really can’t do it justice. Really like the workshops idea and looking into attending. The staff was kind & enthusiastic which was a refreshing experience; if I had kids it would be a fun place to take them.

Usually only drive up for the Garage Sales, which turn into 3 days of AWESOMENESS and hunting for that one missing piece to a collection.

You come in from a nice and well kept road. The surroundings, grassy. Look out! Marmot crossing! The centre itself presents itself to you- small, but packed with interesting objects. The trails lead to Marmot City. Marmots. You'd come again.

Lothar M.

Nice little Museum, park with marmels and an amazing raptor show.

Ikon Sting

Went for the Birds of Prey Encounter. Fantastic group with a great deal of knowledge. Seeing the birds up close brought a renewed love for these raptors. Facilities are typical of a nature center, including pets, displays, cataloged local insects and the like, living bee hive, kids area, etc.

Rebecca Young

Great place, lovely staff! We learned a lot about the local wildlife!

Tristan Flock

The Allan Brooks Nature Centre has nice views, nice people, and some very cool events throughout the summer!

Sorry but wouldn't waste your money on this one; a few stuffed animals and a colony of bees in the building. The nature walk consists of a gravel path and an area to count Marmots but you will be counting rocks. Couldn't justify spending another $16 to see the raptors. The place needs some vast improvements which understandably needs funding but anyone visiting it will be disappointed and won't recommend it to others passing through.

Great place! Very friendly staff and beautiful location.

Great place! Will come again

Nathan Wittich

The nature walk was very short. They ask you to count how many marmots you find in marmot city. It's easy to do since you can't see any.

Scott Turner

Great people, wonderful place to visit.

Sarah K

Though we visited in the early days of September there was still much to do and learn, in a way it was even better as we had learned a lot more then we probably would have during a busy time. We were helped by Carson, who was so knowledgeable and patient. He toured with us in the room with the mural and answered the many questions we had. And being an animal lover it was great to learn new ways to help conserve and save habitats, learn what habitats were being destroyed, and species that I didn’t even know were local as I’ve never seen them. I honestly recommend checking this place out!

Carlos Patiño

I love the nature and I love knowing the varieties of plants.

Pati Hordyk

We were fortunate to observe a coyote on his/her afternoon stroll

Cam Nordstrom

I visited early in the morning before it started getting hot. Staff very friendly and answered any questions I had. This time of year the grounds had been absolutely blasted by the heat and sun, so not a whole lot if growing things to be seen. And likely the animal life was taking shelter. Would be awesome to see in the spring. The views are beautiful and there is a breeze up on the site which helps make it a little less oppressive from the heat. Not a huge amount of parking, unless I am mistaken. Would likely be hard to squish a large RV in the parking area. Covered area with picnic tables from which you can take in the view.

Warren Busdriver

Amazing display of wildlife in the museum. Beautiful panoramic view of area outside.Free Parking.

Jeff Cockburn

Amazing place for all ages

Christine C

It was lovely to visit- a nice introduction to understanding the land and critters in the area. Mostly geared at children, I wanted more adult level science. I really liked the walk around the property- I don't think we started in the right direction, but we still saw some cool stuff! A few yellow bellied marmots timed it perfectly as we passed by the 'marmot highway,' and the pond was full of life, too! Some of the trails are steep, and it is all under direct sun while outside, so bring sturdy shoes and a sunhat!

Absolutely loved the raptor exhibition. Great information and exciting aerial displays. We'll worth the money.

Eman Seman

Very informative and interactive displays for all ages and spectacularly beautiful views of all three Vernon area lakes for pooped parents as they rest up while girl genius educates the masses about just how closely we are all tied to this planet. A showcase of all that is good and wild about the Okanagan valley! HIGHLIGHT: Dont miss seeing the huge honey bee working hive under plexiglass display inside.
