This place is best Korean food in town. We had tried a lot of Korean food before but this place is fantastic. The taste is tollaly different from other restaurant, feel like best of best Korean food i’ve never tried. Really recommended. Also their cocktails is really nice. I had Ok Sun Fizz really fresh, smell a little bit cucumber. Such an really nice drink! Service was very friendly and nice. Give them more than 5 stars ????????????

Zoomak was really good. We got the lunch special which includes 12 different unique small tasting dishes which were all fantastic. The stewed beef and fried chicken were really good in particular. Would definitely recommend trying the lunch special but make sure to reserve in advance as they sell out lunch specials fast.

4.5 - Ordered from Ubereats. Super huge portions - enough to last for two meals. Tofu rice bowl was really nice - great flavours. I wish the fried chicken had a bit more tang. I didn’t love the rice cakes as much with the fry breading. Overall though, neat concept! Not your typical Korean. Would be interested in seeing what the restaurant looks / experiences like live.

Just ate here for the first time. I had the Lunch special which was a '12 delicacies tasting tray'. Everything looked and tasted super good. It was an array of interesting and refined flavours. The environment had a bright, clean and modern feel. It looked like they had some really interesting cocktails as well. I'll definitely be going back.

This place is a hidden gem in Gastown. Zoomak serves Korean foods in modern fashion. So food looks great as much as its taste. Usually I don’t enjoy spicy food much but this is an exception. I ordered chicken wings and cocktails and it matches perfectly.

I can't rate this place high enough! Amazing staff, service, and food. I ordered wings and the fried rice for take out as a walk in. Staff were so nice and even apologetic when my food was 2 min late than what they originally said - nbd The wings came recommended by a friend and they did not disappoint. I can't tell which sauce was better, going back and forth they just kept getting better. As amazing as the wings were, the fried rice bowl was the greatest...honestly can't say enough about this. Highly recommend!

We opted for some nice drinks and light side dishes. The kimchi was way too salty, and not super spicy. The lettuce wraps had good quality beef tenderloin, nothing particularly outstanding though for the price tag (and again, super salty with the ssamjang and kimchi). Drinks were tasty and saved us from the salt. Overall good vibes and lovely presentation.

went to this spot this weekend and I'm SOOOOO glad i did! i loved everything about this place...We got the fried rice, lettuce wraps and Beef Shin & Tendon...so freaking good. the meat that came with the lettuce wraps were so tender and flavourful, the sauce on the beef shin was so yummy, but my absolute favourite was the fried rice. i could eat 5 of those. so so so good. you need to try this place out. im considering taking a day off work to try their lunch special cause it looks fantastic. I'll probably be coming back on a weekly basis

Walked into the restaurant with no expectations. The food and service was phenomenal! The atmosphere rather appeared to be like a cute brunch cafe with simple, yet delicate decor. Most importantly, the presentation (and of course the taste) of the food was exceptional! Price was reasonable. Our server, Luke, went above and beyond when providing service. He was always available when we needed something, but wasn’t one of those nosey servers checking in every 5 mins. Will come back.

I had dinner at Zoomak with my boyfriend the other night, great service and ambience. The pancake is very authentic, and is one of the best spot i've been to. Had the pleasure to meet Eric, the head chef, a very talented and knowledgeable cook and charming as well. If you are looking for some traditional Korean food but a little twist, this is the spot... with good soju! I highly recommend this place!!!

COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. Management needs to seriously sort out their front desk/reservation system. It’s a Friday morning and we decided to visit for lunch, and I’ve been trying their line since 11am to reserve as there is no online system. Finally someone picked up at 11:30, to say their fully booked for lunch but has a waitlist. I called back and I asked how many ppl are on the waitlist they said none at the moment, and I asked if she can put us down over the phone as we only live 10 min drive away. She said no, I have to be in person in order to put my name down (despite COVID) and she would do her absolute best to accommodate us. So we drove over and arrived at 11:45am to an empty restaurant, except for 2-3 table seated on the patio. The front desk girl (same voice as the one who took our call) took a look at the empty restaurant and said she can’t accommodate us. And that it would be 1-2 hour wait. And THEN she informs me the lunch special is not available today anymore. I also glanced on the waitlist - it was a blank piece of paper. Few problems here for management to consider: -perhaps consider allowing waitlist over the phone or online. Especially in an area where parking is limited, pricey, and homelessness is an issue. Does the restaurant really expect ppl to come in just to just put their name on the waitlist and be told to expect an 1-2 hours wait when they can just wait at home? -maybe guests should be informed over the phone lunch items are out before insisting them to arrive in person put name down in person. Other restaurants have this but they clearly mark on the website and menu daily quantity is limited -overall economics and long term impacts along with customer experience of the business practice of turning away guests in a near empty restaurant -more training is clearly requires for the front end staff. The girl herself said they were short staff and overwhelmed Needless to say I will not be returning regardless how nice their menu offering looks on social media. My spouse and I walked off without putting our names down and had a nice meal next door (places that was not dead inside and turning away guests).

Fantastic service and amazing food. Ate here and the bartender greeted us promptly and she made us fantastic cocktail recommendations (very reasonably priced!!) and me and my girlfriend both loved them! We ordered the steak and lettuce wraps, the fried rice cakes and the king oyster noodles. The fried rice cakes were incredible, in a tomato sauce and very crispy. I usually find the chewy texture of rice cakes to be a bit unappealing so crispy rice cakes were amazing. The steak and lettuce wraps came with perfectly cooked steak, and a lot of it! The Korean chili sauce that came with it was to die for and the fried onions and garlic were a bit of a modern twist compared to what I am used to. The server was very nice and was quick to grab empty plates. I will return here the next time I am in vancouver

The food is great, and I think that might just be an understatement. The food really does speak for itself. When you dine in, the plates of food are brought to you via superb dining service, they really do care. The plate presentation is sensational. Very fresh and pleasant on the eye. The taste though, is peculiar. I can't stop eating it, I need to figure out what makes it so good, even take-out is good! Zoomak brilliantly did a modern twist on the traditional Korean cuisine. Outstanding. They play with the texture, taste, and experience.

This place is just disappointing and a waste of time if you do not have reservations here. My parents and I arrive there before 11:30 and we were there for the lunch special but as they opened the first thing we were told was that the lunch special is sold out and that it’s reserved for people with reservations. Like what? On their website they do state it’s limited quantities but it’s “first come first serve”. How does that even make sense? Don’t advertise the lunch special as first come first serve and state that it’s available for reserving because that’s just plain false advertising and luring people to come to the restaurant. Pathetic.

I got takeout of the KFC rice bowl at a cost of $15. The chicken is boneless dark meat deep fried and then tossed in a sauce. There is a crazy amount of chicken and the portion of rice may not seem like much but there's enough. There's nori strip and some pickled type of veggies as well. Mix it all together. Take a bite of chicken and then the rice with a bit of everything and the flavors are balanced beautifully. I did find the rice to be a bit too mushy and a bit too much sauce on the rice. But it was still delicious. I didn't like how they put tape on the napkin to hold it all together. There are other options that would be less annoying and it's a pain to undo and pretty much wasted the napkin. Overall, a great meal and I'd go back to try more.

Wow!!. What a great experience. I have eaten here twice now once for lunch and again for dinner. I will be back again 100%. For some one with a limited understanding of korean food this was a great introduction. I'm a sucker to try new things and I couldn't help but order the chicken gizzards both times. What a great depth of flavour and unique flavour combinations the crispy rice garnish is fantastic and the umami from the sauce is month watering with tender gizzards and perfectly cooked vegetables. This is a must try amongst other things. Great pork belly with full flavoured braised kimchi. Everything on the plate is so refined and elegant. The servers were friendly with super tasty cocktales which matched the homely and welcoming vibe of the restaurants decor.

If your knowledge of Korean cuisine is limited to kimchi and bibimbap, then give Zoomak a try. The lunch special is a great introduction to different dishes from gochujang tartare and steamed egg custard to an assortment of housemade kimchi and pickles. Even the chewy gyoza wrapper is made in house! If you like ramen, you're going to like kooksoo. With a delightfully flavourful and clean broth, tender slices of pork belly, and perfectly chewy noodles, it was my favorite dish. Though I'm typically not a fan of gizzards, they did a great job balancing flavours with preserved lemon. It'll go great with a round of beer. A side note: this place is not wheelchair/stroller friendly.

Honestly, the food was freakin lit!!! Our group absolutely loved every single dish. Friendly & attentive staff and bartender was the best. Will be back to try the rest of the menu. Personal faves were the pork cheek and tartare.

Absolutely a must for those who love Korean/Asian food! It actually beats my old time favourite, Sura. It takes Korean food to the next level. I loved the seafood pancake (with very little dough and instead tons of roasted chives), the fried rice (I usually hate fried rice, but Zoomak's version with pork blossoms and taro chips is out of this world), and the beef tartare! Going again in a week to try and work my way through the menu!

Really enjoyed my time here. Fun vibe, friendly and enthusiastic service, and delicious food based on the Korean seafood pancake I ordered. The cocktail list is interesting as well, although admittedly I only had draft beer. I’m looking forward to coming back!

A go-to place if you wanna experience Korean dining/bar in a unique way. This awesome place is like no other before. Their own cocktails recipies are definitely something I've never seen. Best of all, the food and mood. This place's got really cool interior vibes along with Korean fusion food that k-food fans could barely deny. Both thumbs up!
