DESCRIPTION

We offer you the feddbacks of real people like you who have information of the products and services of Saskatchewan Burrowing Owl Interpretive Centre (Zoo) in the territory of Moose Jaw (Canada).

Now this firm has a score of 4.4 stars over 5 and that score was based on 60 reviews.

As you can read, the average score it has is really high, and it's founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may be quite sure that the rating is very credible. If people have bothered to rate when they've done well, it works.

You know that we do not usually stop to give feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...

REVIEWS OF Saskatchewan Burrowing Owl Interpretive Centre IN Moose Jaw

The visitor center is a great place to see burrowing owls and they also had a short eared owl last time I visited. Donations keep the place running so drop off a little something for your visit. I believe they feed at 4, so that would be a great time to go as well.

Kat Crow

There is interesting information about the owls, plus owls that you can see. It's small but well thought out. The only drawback is the dog who is badly behaved and I have no idea why he is there. He harasses the owls and the visitors.

This is a cute, very educational way to spend an hour. The burrowing owls are easy to find, yet the buildings they are kept in are large and give them a lot of freedom. The employees are friendly and will walk you through or let you explore on your own, and there is also a huge Irish Wolfhound who is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met. Kids will love her! There is also a gazebo, huge enclosure for a short-eared owl (Shorty), and a small building with exhibits and informational displays. I love this little place and hope more people are able to stop by and share the word about these endangered creatures.

Not only is this an amazing organization, it's also a very cool place to visit. The habitats for the owls provide ample opportunity for visitors to view the owls and there's great interpretive displays. If you're looking for a fun day trip in Moose Jaw, strongly consider the Burrowing Owl Interpretive Centre :)

Roadtrip. Awesome place where you can learn about fragile biome of grasslands. Saving burrowing owls and protecting the nature seems to be a main objective of the centre. Admission is free, but please donate something so this great place continue to exist. Owls are super cute, but also try not to step on cutest gopher who lives in the office.

Jeanne Miller

Closed for lunch, but a sign on the door invited people to go around to the back and see the owls in their enclosure. Rain was ending as we were there, and several owls emerged from their burrows. The Centre 8s doing some good work here.

Richard Fischer

Very well organized and well maintained. Knowledgeable staff and very helpful

A very worthwhile cause with the ability to see the results first-hand. The center is staffed by friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. You can pay to have a guided tour or go through the facility yourself. There is a small building setup with displays and information to give you a good history and understanding of the burrowing owl. You then move outside where you will see a number of owls in care by the centre. Even the the owl is small you should easily be able to see them. Photographing them (even with a zoom) is a little more difficult due to chain-fence style enclosures. Plan on spending between 30 minutes to 1 hour here. Admission is by donation. Plenty of parking.

Donation based Owl sanctuary. We were able to get close up to owls in their areas. My kids loved it. A decent learning center also with lots of information about owls. A neat little gift shop also.

This is a great free sanctuary to visit if you want to see some burrowing owls. The magnificent little creatures hang out while you get to experience them up close and personal.

Emmanuel Reddekopp

There is really not much to do. Staff is nice but the facility is not great. The owl homes are in need of some upkeep. Literally can only look for maybe 10-15 minutes and then you get kinda bored unless you're a major owl enthusiast.

Gary Betker

It was unfortunately raining to hard to see the owls but the ladies in the center were informative and we will be back.

Casandra Odell

What a great place to visit! All the information is laid out in a way that gives you just enough education. There isn't an overload of information! And lots of pictures of the owls! The owls themselves were fun to try and spot and watch them just enjoying their day. If you are patient enough the birds will eventually be a bit more lively. We got to see Cricket give us a few flying demonstrations and he even came and perched right near the fence for a great view. And the lovely resident gopher S'more was an added bonus, she was super adorable and very friendly for a gopher!

Alyssa Fehr

This free attraction ( run solely on donations) provides a rare opportunity to get up close to Burrowing Owls. The center does a wonderful job of education on this magnificent owl that is under appreciated. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The beautiful little signs letting you know the names of the owls living in each of the habitats are a special touch. Worth a visit!

Theoni Mihalopoulos

Great place well kept and very informative. The owls were amazing!

Elizabeth Tan

First it's free so be sure to donate when you arrive or leave! These people do such amazing work preserving the endangered burrowing owls. There are about 6 to 8 burrowing owls to see, we didn't take the guided tour because of the kids but I've heard good things about it. Very easy to navigate and we spent about 30 mins there. An overall educational and pleasant experience!

Louise Robert

This was a very interesting place to visit. You got to see the little owls up close. The guide was very informative when asked questions. Mostly self guided. Can get them to bring the birds to schools to show and inform students. Pretty cool.
