Family Reunion had me touring relatives here, from Tillsonburg. The swans are always exciting to see. Noisy too! The local club members are Wonderful hosts. Sharing their binoculars and pointing our rare birds than come to this Aylmer Sanctuary. Free! Drive in. There are Steps up to an inside observation deck. Stay as long as you like. I go every Spring! Creation is our Creator's Gift. Enjoy it!

Beautiful serene area albeit rather flat. Perhaps it's the bleakness of March... There were several hundreds of Swans that graced the marshy waters. It was really helpful how the signage and fencing explained how certain behaviors, like getting too close, could stress the Swans. I did not know that and was very appreciate. Well done, Alymer!

Lonely place in the winter.. a hawk was all to be seen.. weather was very cold when I went.

Incredible up close viewing of tundra swans. The birds are there in big numbers, maybe 300 or so today. They say its the most up close viewing area for Tundra Swans in the world! The observation towers allow viewing of swans from as close as 30 metres (estimated). Definitely worth the drive to Aylmer for any nature lover.

One of the best local places around for viewing birds in their natural migration. Common types of birds to see are tundra swans, trumpeter swans, and Canadian geese. Was unexpected and very surprised to see two sandhill cranes as well. Definitely worth going, and even more worthy of a small donation to keep it running.
