We've got the opinions of people like you who purchased the services and products of Centre d'animaux Safari Carrefour Angrignon (Zoo) in La Salle territory (Canada).
As of day this firm has a score of 3.8 stars over 5 and the rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that the average score it has is quite high, and it is founded on a very high number of scores, so we may conclude that the assessment is quite accurate. If there are many people who bothered to give their score when they are happy with the service, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to write scores when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Zoo corresponds to the category of Pet store.
They staff dont know much about the animals they keep. I was sold 3 molly fish being told theyd do fine in a 5 gallon tank! I trusted the 2 employees and took the fish home only to find out not only are they not fresh water fish but require a minimum 20 gallons and that's barely covering it as they grow so big. I've been set up with an aquarium that is doomed to fail. Save yourself some trouble and go down the street to Nature pet center. Or any other pet store you know.
It is difficult not to feel bad for the animals in here. Cages are small and the store is overcrowded and noisy. There is enough stock and shelving to fill a store twice its size. Instead of buying here it is best to make the effort and adopt a pet from a shelter or simply from someone looking to have their pet adopted.
Nice place for kids to look for pets
Finally open again yeahhhhh
Very nice.
Great service
Neat place to shop all kinds of pets and pet accessories. Due to COVID-19 they don't sell dogs and cats at the moment.
Not much variety, and tanks are poorly stocked in the aquarium section. Bought a fairly expensive fish tank, they verify to make sure equipment is all there. The guy seemed nice but the 'verification' process was quick and focused on the items but not so much thoroughly kn the tank (dim lighting didnt help). Read at the counter they have a 10 day return policy, not for your cash back but for store credit(not eligable for pets and food), which I was fine with. It was a big expensive one so of course I handled it with extreme caution. Brought it home to find there was a slight crack, not massive, but it was not noticable but I knew it could get worst with time. Brought it back and asked to either trade for another one or get the store credit if they had no more. The cashier girl was rude and said the return policy didn't apply to fish tanks. That sort of 'too bad, deal with it' attitude and she obviously had no interest in dealing with me. On the bright side since I refuse to conduct any further business in this establishment, I found a much better pet store with a much more knowledgable and polite staff.
Good place to find pets food and pets. Or just enjoying looking at the animals.
The man working in the fish department was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and answered my questions as well as corrected misinformation I had previously been given. I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with him, trust his expertise, and will go back because of it.
We've come here over the years to see the animals and accessories. The staff is friendly and animals seem well taken of. Our favourite is the Koi pond.
I had very awful experience in this store, the store put liquid items in a place where particularly easy to accidentally knock over, I accidentally with the legs gently knocked over half of the liquid, the clerk is very arrogant, let me compensate for it. yeah ok, I paid my fault with full price compensation, but why the remaining liquid did not give me, just let me go. The clerks and cashiers are very cold, very bad!
It's nice
I really really really hate seeing animals kept in cages like this pet store, especially the dogs and cats. The workers do seem to care for the most part and I've never seen dirty cages left that way. The koi pond is amazing though and the store is clean.
Good alternative to Fairview and Downtown. You can find pretty much anything you need..... clean place and good service pretty much in any store.
I went the other day and I was disappointed! It's not like it used to be before the Covid . The store is missing lots of items, poor selection. I couldn't find anything of what I was looking for.
I had bought a rabbit at Safari Angrignon and I only found out three months later that I’ve been giving my rabbit the wrong hay this whole time when I was told by the person at Safari that I was supposed to feed him that hay shouldn’t you know what your telling your customers before sending them with a new pet awful
Nice place
Honestly the worst safari I've ever gone to, don't go looking for plants you won't find any good ones
Nice and clean.
Even if we ignore the substandard return policy, we are usually satisfied with Safari. We visited this Safari for the first time (we usually go to the one in Dix 30) and we were less than satisfied with the service. The lady at the cash, Sammy, was not only rude to us but rude to the other employee that helped us. I don't think it's fair of this worker to belittle her colleagues in front of customers. I think it's safe to say that we won't be returning to Safari in Lasalle.
Lovely staff and great service!
This place is like a mini zoo, nice to go with your little ones
The employees were kind and helpful
Not too many animals but you can see different types of fish, good place to attend once a month.
It definitely has improved, I got better service. Good effort, keep it up! It is pricey but it's understandable seeing the store - the Koi pond is spectacular. They also have everything, great selection.
Not exciting as I remembered it >< 10 years back. I was surprised and disappointed by the lack of exotic birds and reptiles. Even the fish in the goldfish and coy pond was not as I remembered. I remember passing by the store front listing to all the exotic animals sings and chirping, looking at tucans or monkeys though the front glass sectioned off or even tortoises under sun lamps or eating fresh fruit from the bowls provided by the staff.
Went there to buy a cat and I asked a simple yet extremely important question to a staff : is this cat a Male or a female, since I already have two female cats I cant have a Male one otherwise the females would be terrorized AND ONE OF MY FEMALE CAT IS NOT STERILIZED, she said it's a female no worries. And that's why I got this cat... 4 days later I brought the new cat to a vet and they said it's a Male... and I had to return the cat because of the safari staff unprofessionalism. Even the manager failed to answer a simple question about a pet gender it's a shame. They caused me money loss and emotional damage since I got attached to this cat. Please dont buy your pets from this place. You'll get horrible experience. Staff and the manager are very unprofessional with poor basic knowledge. Not convinced yet ? When we bought the cat, they told us she was in perfect condition (he actually) but in truth the cat had eye infection and bad respiratory symptoms.
Not bad.
My 4 year old demands we visit this "fishy store" as he calls it every now and then. This place is loaded with all kinds of reptiles, fish, exotic birds and rodents of all kinds! Staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and the layout of the store gives you the safari type of tour. Fun, and fully equipped for all your little pet needs.
It's nice
Great place to find fish. But sadly no more dogs nor cats ... why ?
First impression of the place you get a nice vibe but as you go looking around you start to feel bad for the animals. There is a lot of stock and things to buy but so little space for the animals. The aquarium area is pretty nice but when you look closely at some of the fish tanks some of the fishes look ill. =/ The staff are also a hit and miss. Some are knowledgeable and some have no clue what they are saying. Just trained to sell, sell, sell. heh
One of the best Pet Stores. I hope that they'll soon restock back to normal.
The store is showing a little age, but still a good selection of products for your pets needs. Wonderful staff who are knowledgeable and friendly.
Adopt don't shop. Saw a puppy by itself in small glass habitat. No toys or space to move very much. Can't believe stores are still doing this. Please stop and avoid shopping for your pets here.
Big place wit an attractive decoration, but the prices are so more expensive than other pet stores.
I had to buy a new filter for an emergency and Safari was closest, I usually go to Aquarius on Jean-talon but it was closed so I had no choice. It cost me 260$ instead of the 180 I paid to the other store. Are you kidding me?? Also with a quick glance in the tank I saw 2 dead pleco that had turned white due to decomposition, so I don'T know how long they had been there, I don't think their fish department is very well run.
They sold me rainbow tetras that were sick and which basically killed half my fish in my aquarium. The staff couldn't care less about you, they look like they are trying to run off when your talking to them. Probably because they know your getting ripped off when you shop there.
Nice place but congested and wanna see more
very clean but no interaction with staff
I love this place for the ambience and helpful staff. Their dog section is great. Very fast rotation of different breeds. If you see a puppy you love, take him or her fast, as the puppies are sold fast here.
Its great for getting animals or animals food and for kids to see different stuff ????????
Nice staff and very well organized. In term of the price, it is quite expensive
Poor prices and terrible return policy. fish tanks are poorly stocked and variety is low for the sheer size of the store. The only value the store has is in it's aesthetic, the kids really enjoy the visual experience, besides the ambience the store itself is only worth a 1 star review. Overall one of the worst pet shops in the area, bring your kids in to look at the pets if you want, but I'd recommend against spending your money there. Try a local pet store instead, with staff that isn't impersonal and lacking in customer service skills.
Worst customer service I’ve ever seen. I recommend to any wanna buy from Safari to go to the one in Brossard DiX30 or the one in taschereau. The Casher is so rude she don’t respect the customers and she talk with an attitude ????????
Don't ask for help from the staff if you want to get eyes rolled at. In affectionate and not very compassionate about the animals either. Obvious lack of knowledge. It's no reason they closed down most of the safaris.
Clean place, lovely animals and fishes to see and lot of accessories for animal lovers.
Always enjoyed visiting but a few times noticed the dogs were too big for the showcase enclosures they were in. Items are very diverse in selection which is great otherwise.
I went for fish. Prices were good. No cichlids though. Aquatic plants were fairly priced too
Disgusting treatment of animals. Small cages for all of them, over crowding completely, and most likely the puppies come from puppy farms. All of the dogs are not socialized, staff seems to not care at all about the well being of animals. Making a call to the SPCA as soon as possible to report animal cruelty, animal neglect, and mistreatment of animals. I am very disappointed in Quebec for still allowing animal stores like this to operate. #AdoptDontShop
Cool petshop
Bought a guinea pig back in January 2020, along with all the accessories. Great staff, knowledgeable and helpful with questions I had. Status: Fryer Tuck is doing fine!
Very nice place, but there's no cats/dogs due to the pandemy...
Boorish service. Forcing customers to buy unnecessary goods by manipulating the fact that animals are like children and you must buy everything that they say. As a seller you can advise but not force the customer to buy!
Great store
Not like before.
Never open
The store has a cool style and lots of stock. The aquarium section is probably the most impressive part of the store, but the staff is pretty hit or miss. When I was looking for a cat, the employee didn't seem very interested in helping me find one so I ended up going to the SPCA. Still a nice store though and makes for a nice place to wander around and look at animals. Very happy that the cats are all rescues too.
Nice selection of fish. No shrimps. In a pinch it works
After reading the negative reviews about the poor service I couldn't help but think that no one mentioned the poor conditions these animals are kept and where they came from. Purchasing animals from a pet shop at high prices supports pet stores and animal factories/ mills. A better alternative would be to adopt an animal in need of a home at an adoption shelter. Contrary to pet stores, shelters are not organizations created solely on making a profit on an animal's life. Adopt don't buy!
Something is wrong with this place to have their staff come yell at you to not take any pictures of their animals. They currently only have fish, birds and rodents.
They have a nice selection of everything. That staff is fairly helpful. The beta fish are in horrible living condition. They are in bright light with nothing in their tanks. The beta clearly look depressed.(Beta dislike direct light, and like to hide) The rest of the animals look well taken care of for the most part.
If you looking for aquariums fish you must visit this place.
The ladies were amazing. I came in for filters for my water fountain which they didnt have but took my number and called me and put them aside for me????
Very nice place, bought my two kittens there and I got help through the whole process. Whenever I go back, they're always friendly and in a positive energy. The only thing throwing me off for a 5 stars is the fact that the animals are stuck in very small cages and not many toys.
I was just window shopping but did notice that if you have a pet, you will find what you need here.
The worth animals centre that i have been see!!!!!!!!! I bought fishes in there, after one day, I thought the fish had problems, and took back to there. But they not helped me, and did not any responsibility! I just bought one day! Now,the fish are died! I hate this place!!!!! I never ever ever go this centre! I think i don't give them even one star, there are must negative lever! I never see how much bad like this animals centre! This Safari is a WORSE WORSE WORSE WORSE WORSE WORSE place!
Survived covid, for now...
The store doesn't honour their own return policy. I bought an aquarium air pump, explaining to the sales person that I was concerned about the level of noise it would generate. I was told I could return it within ten days for store credit, and I found this information ony sales receipt. A few days later I tried to return the item but was told I couldn't because it had been used on an aquarium and it might have been affected! This is irrelevant as regards the pump's sanitary condition insofar as no part of an air pump contacts the water during normal use, let alone a test (air is pushed at positive pressure through a hose into the water.)
Cool spot and great setup. Prices are reasonable compared to other stores. They have a fidelity plan where you can save more.
Horrible customer service, I used shop at their Rockland location but it as closed, I had bought eight bags of Acana food there, I had bought some bags at teh other store closer to me which they did not accept for the 13th free bag of food because I had not bought them there. I told them that the promotion is with Acana and not with Safari why would I need to buy all of them from them but they insisted that promotion was with Safari which is not true. I asked for the manager, she was not helpful either. definitely wont go back.
Great selection of treats and toys for dogs as well as good brands of kibble for cats and dogs. The prices are a little high and the selection for cats is lacking compared to the dogs. Atmosphere is nice
Small puppies emprisoned in 3x3 cages, not even enough to allow them to grow healthy. Those dogs are not merchandise and we should not treat them as if they were. I would NEVER buy an animal, or anything from there because I just don't support that.
No more animals in there, because of pandemic.
Good place to buy things for the pets, good price too.
Staff is super friendly and helpful
Good service and very competive prices
Was sold sick fish. Staff does not care about customer. Staff lacks knowledge and gives bad advice. Some staff members need to use proper hygiene.
I love this animal store. Not too big but a good variety of animals to choose from. Wide assortment of fish and a pretty good staff.
