REVIEWS OF Ranger Red's Zoo & Conservation Park IN Kimberley

g o

It was great as always

Maria Nisulescu

Disgusting! My child bitten by the camel no incident report or cares given. The smell was making us gag, toilets were full of water and stunk and not to forget no water for some animals and what water there was was green!!

Sylvia Molloy

Ideal family zoo where children can interact with animals and birds. Picnic area, good parking. Staff helpful, like to chat about the animals they care for. Easy walking paths for us older generation and youngsters in pushchair.

Bella Boo

Awesome hands on zoo,so much to see and do especially if you get there early for feeding time.Satff are willing to interact which is great for getting up even closer to some of the animals and birds.Great day had by all!!

Number One

Great little zoo. Bring your own food and wander...

Stephen Hill

Had an awesome day with family

Megan Davies

Good selection of Australian animals which are friendly. Bit pricey for what it is though.

Owen Evans

The updates are fantastic. Still a great place to visit. My kids have a great time. I must say the map with everyone’s names is such a great touch.

Aish Syam

A wonderful place for people of all ages, such effort into every animal habitat has been made. Friendly owner and staff.

Kyan Mears

We had a great time with the grandchildren ... interactive, fun and educational

WestOz Photography

Good little zoo. Nice collection of animals to see. Great for kids

Danielle Edwards

Smaller local great community zoo - kids will love it.

Hail_kingollie

Great family day out, very enjoyable. Helpful Staff.

Mark Robson

Great day out with the family, plenty to see and the kids loved it

Jeremy stratton

Great place to go for hands on fun with petting zoo animals, got to feed lots of animals, and hold some too! perfect place for families (was with friends) and it's lovely to see the rehabilitation of animals as well. There were other animals such as birds and owls, and native Australian animals too! Surprisingly fun to go with friends

Kieran Wood

Great for a day out with the kids, the place is clean and tidy, including the enclosures. The animals seem to be content and well cared for. Staff are friendly and helpful

Jon Ring

A small zoo with many empty cages, filthy feeding enclosures and high entry prices. Good collections of carnivorous birds and dingoes, friendly staff. Animals in feeding enclosures are overweight and we couldn’t give away the food. For comparison: Peel Zoo is 2*, Perth Zoo 3*, Caversham Park 4* and Bali Zoo 5*.

Byzan

Nice place, lots of interaction with the animals.

Joshua D'Mello

It is a beautiful place. My favourite were Dingos and the Bats! And the Tassie Devil talk!

BRKD

The staff are so friendly and helpful. Enjoyed my day out with my family

Iusan Naidoo

Great place for kids, birds are the the main attraction.

Chris E

Very enthusiastic friendly staff. Hands on, a lot of fun

Alisha Dunks

Looks really run down and unkept Needs a good clean up, gone downhill with the new owners If your going to spend the money go to caversham wildlife park

Jeffrey Hampson

The zoo was quite good but more signage and information about the different animals would improve the educational purposes for kids :)

Theresa Winrow

Peel zoo has definitely gone downhill from the last time i visited. Not many animals and it definitely needs a good clean.

Jayden Mews

Much better than we anticipated with lots of volunteers eager to help and educate. Interactive exhibits had the heart pumping but and cool fountains and natural features were calming and welcoming.

Wiji Utami

It was ok

Julie Leeder

Great for kids as you get to pat the animals

Paul Williams

Great friendly staff

Jason Fowler

Convenient, lovely layout, animals well looked after, caring staff and wonderful for the children to be hands on.

Veronica Ryan

I had an amazing time, the animals are beautiful and the baby goats & lambs were adorable. Got some lovely photos of these brilliant animals. ❤

crox1234

Loved this place. There were many animals to whom we could interact and pet them. But few area were empty (just few).

Skye Rolfe

Great zoo with a good collection of Australian animals. There were plenty of birds as well as other classic Australian animals such as kangaroos, possums, quokkas and reptiles. When you first arrive at the Zoo and pay your entry fee, you are handed a sheet of paper which lists all the animals that you will see with a number next to them. All the cages will have a corresponding number which makes the path super easy to follow (and really helps you when your kid asks "what's that"). The petting areas of the Zoo were really great, in particular the Kangaroo zone. I do suggest if you want to feed the sheep, goats, llamas, etc. then make sure that your children are okay with being jumped all over by large animals. My toddler found it a little overwhelming but the other kids seemed to be having a great time. Being able to walk in the large bird cages was fantastic, and the parrots were not shy when it came to landing on shoulders and saying hello. Overall a great zoo, although a little small... which suited our young boy fine as it only took about 2 hours to see everything.

Lawu Arie

Great zoo. Kids had great fun. Love the Tassie devil breeding program. This zoo is very hands on where you can feed a number if the animals. We had great fun in the walk in aviary feeding and interacting with all kinds of birds. Staff are also very knowledgeable and friendly.

Jack Cursham

Took my grandkids here and was really disappointed is very run down

Karen Kerr

We booked or daughter here to be a zookeeper assistant for the day. She absolutely loved it, got to hand feed many animals, walk the dingoes, and learn about the care of zoo animals. Being able to hand feed the many birds was an amazing experience and I'm not even a bird person. We will be going back.

Jeff C

Actually managed to hold a snake. Wish Ashton the Koala had a friend though

Godzila

Loved Peel Zoo

Debz Y

Best zoo I've ever been to.

Jezamine Chan

Was so nice to walk around and relax

Carol Maldon

Beautiful, well kept, animals are very well cared for. A lot of hands on with the animals. Very relaxing, the staff are well trained and they have many times during the day where they have talks and you are able to hold snakes, lizards etc Great family outing!

Toni Andrew

Had a great time with the kids was a bit concerned when are the animals became a bit rowdy maybe a little bit under staffed apart from that a great day out with the family

Candice Turner

Beautiful. Great for the kids and well worth it. We're going back for the sugar glider Encounter, can't wait! Honestly more enjoyable and value for money than Perth Zoo. My babies loved feeding and seeing so many gentle native animals (especially the birds). Edit. We've been for the glider Encounter (OMFG!!!!!!!!!) and are returning for my bday to do the macaw ????

Jay Lowens

Very busy today public holiday. Animals weren't that hungry and lazing around. Nice to pat them though. Some enclosures improved since I last went

Alex Hemsley

Small and kind of messy but the experience of hands on animals is worthy. Friendly staff also.

Shino Lim (Youtube: 童心看世界)

Very friendly staff and a fantastic setting. Very hands on for the kids and the animals are very gentle with little ones.

Kayleen Freeman

Great place to take the children and watch them enjoy all the animals

Saffa Jake

Would definitely recommend! Had an absolutely lovely time. The animals were all very friendly, we enjoyed the hands on aspect. Beautiful enclosures as well. The animals were obviously very well taken care of!!

Cynthia Matthyen

Good for Harrison gives detail to his journey through development and Autism spectrum

Steve (CaptainFathom)

A relatively small zoo but the Tasmanian devils are worth visiting!

Lucy Green

Great way to spend some time with the kids

adam schultz

Animals looked healthy and cared for. Very run down and the wheelchair friendly paths are broken up and too narrow for wheelchairs in places. The accessible bathroom had spider webs onto the taps indicating it really hasn't been cleaned recently. A relatively pleasant day out but nothing "wow". The map you are given on entry doesn't list feeding times - this would be a good addition to it.

Jade Schrandt

Honestly not worth the 60 dollars. It's small. Go a little farther to the koala park and there the animals are out and the price is much cheaper

Dave Biesse

We recently visited the Peel Zoo with 2 young friends from Bali From the time we arrived until we left the staff were very friendly and helpful. Putu got to fulfill her wish of seeing, patting and feeding a kangaroo that was all she could talk about. There had been a few negative reviews written Don't understand why We had a wonderful day

Adolf Dietrichsen

Starting to look very tired. Not really a cheap day out.

Murray Anderson

Good fun for the kids

R

Love this place! Walk-in Aviary (and many more) were really fun and educational

Mollie Wood

Awesome place for hands on experience.

Lisa llama

Small zoo very hands on good aviary with good selection of native birds and other animals can hold a few of the reptiles also well priced also was in there for about 2-3hrs

Fredy Díaz

Great place!

Cee Ess

Me and the girlfriend decided to make the drive down hoping to interact with some birds. Well we weren't disappointed. Many beautiful Australian natives and some exotics including Sun conures, Indian ringnecks and Owls. Most of them are in enclosures but there is a walk on aviary with very friendly Sulfur crest cockatoos, lorikeets and many parrots. The staff are all super friendly, excited about their work and happy to introduce you to other animals at the Zoo including Possums and Wombats. Sure made for a good day and a good place to get closer to some of the beautiful animals we have here in Australia.

Mark B

Not to bad, but it's small, and has mostly birds.

Jimmy Hyden

I took my grand daughter here today. Very disappointing. Most of the enclosure were empty and my granddaughter soon got very bored to only beable to feed the ducks and chicken. No koalas, kangaroos already eating what staff had given them, so not intetested in having our pellets. Im a local. Will never bring visitors or recommend Peel Zoo to them.

Keith Hawke

Amazing Zoo to enjoy crazy animals! If you want to feed animals and enjoy to have birds on your shoulder, that's definitely the right place! Such a good time spent with Kangaroo!

Val Gamble

Small yet fun with interactive animal enclosures. Friendly and patient staff. Great for young kids.

Richard Wesley

Mmmmm... its not the best place to visit. Expensive, unkept, the poor animals are so fat they can barely move. Sheep in the photo i thought was pregnant, according to staff "nope she's just fat"!

Anthony Zampogna

As always, it was wonderful. The staff is warm, friendly and welcoming. The animals awlays seem to put on a show for you. Of all the times ivebeen here, I've never had anything to complain about. The upgrades are great, love the work being done.

Steven Harrisson

A quiet little zoo. More funding would make it better, not many animals & old infrastructure. Still worth a visit for some fresh air & a walk-about.

Glorelid Cabrera de Beaumont

A great day out for the family

Jeevanpreet Singh

Well laid out

Al I

Fantastic wildlife park with a wide variety of animals that are obviously well taken care of. Our toddler loved it. Especially the walkthrough aviary. (The birds are very friendly) Can't wait to see how this park develops in the future.

Jérôme Treboux

Wonderful little family zoo. Great collection of native animals, birds and reptiles. A few interactive areas including an avary and feeding areas for kangaroos, emus and even a pair of llamas.

chris jones

OMG brilliant small zoo

Adam Fitzgerald

Great place. A good range of animals to pet and feed. Good layout with a range of different animals you wouldn't normally see. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The only downside is that there is no cafe.

Yvette Torres

Think of it as more of a wildlife sanctuary rather than a zoo. Kids will love it.

random acts of lowbrow

Our favourite place to go on the holidays or weekends!!

Abiodun Oladiipo

Lots of animals to see and great park hosts

arun abraham

Great range on animals for its size

Mark Vandenhurk

I haven't been kissed for ages until a bird landed on my shoulder and puckered up on my cheek.

Sebastian Saunders

Enjoyed the birds

Damien Burke

Not very impressed I took the kids to the zoo of birds birds birds 4 kangaroos 1 koala and few wild sheep that freaked out and ran when adult or child went to go near them and this was at 10:10am not like they had had people in there faces for hours same with the deer's. For the amount charged was outrageous and very expensive and no animals ate the food I give it away to another family that were going in to visit. SHOULD NOT BE CALLED A ZOO AS IT'S NOT A ZOO AT ALL SHOULD BE CALLED A BIRD SANTUARY KIDS HAD MORE FUN ON A PLANE FROM QLD will not recommended or come back

Rexy Ruin

Great place with awesome staff

Jason Brown

The staffs are helpful and friendly. .And the animal's look healthy.

Katae Saibo

Good for lover of birds and Kangaroo.

Tara Synnott

What a great day out! Kids got to get up close with lots of animals and they ledt exhausted, fantastic. Staff are all so very friendly.

Rob Hillman

Mini zoo with lots of harmless animals.

Carrie Pam Pollard

Visited Peel Zoo a few years ago and didn't rate the experience? Me either. You need to go back!! We've visited twice in the past year since Ranger Red and his team took over and the place has simply flourished! The grounds look so much better and all of the animals look so happy and well loved. You can just tell that theyre really looked after. From the birds to the deer (my fave) and even the cheeky goats we thoroughly enjoyed getting up close for some cuddles. Thank you to the lovely team there, its so nice to see so much improvement. You're doing a fantastic job with all of the animals. We can't wait to head back again soon to see what else has changed.

craig cornish

Fun for kids

Jenny Walker

Don't plan your whole day in it, but it's great.

Tina Parada

Peel zoo was a great experience. There is a lot of hands on activities, such as feeding some of the animals, and the bird enclosure is awesome, the birds land on your shoulder and eat out of your hands. Some very informative talks by the zoo keepers, too

Max Van Weert

Great place and interaction with the animals

Patrik Falkstrom

Very dissatisfying. Mainly birds and kangaroos. There were sheep and dear also but most enclosures seemed to house nothing at all. One sheep looked badly in need a haircut. An over priced experience.

Dean Lawrence

Interesting place.

J John

Great atmosphere, just hope the animals are being looked after.

Joanna Brades

Nice little zoo where the kids can pay kangaroos, goats, deer and a few other animals. A nice walk through Avery where the birds will land on your shoulder. The other attractions are mostly bird cages and a few Australian animals such as dingos and Tasmanian Devil. A bit overpriced for what it offers finished to other places like Caversham and Perth zoo

Jay Weir

Great place to take kids and staff are excellent

Kailey

Great set up, great staff and the animals very well cared for. Enclosures are beautiful and clean. Keep up the fantastic work ????

Sylvia Flesher

If you like brids then go there is other animals but not much else

Andrew Musgrave

Hands on farm. Hand feeding the birds and animals

Gregory Cowan

Bird are always friendly

George Loo

We had a wonderful time here on boxing day. It was very hot but we were well prepared for the heat and were offered an icy treat whilst we walked through. I would like to especially mention Lily who was so attentive to us when we walked in and was so patient with the 3 children we had, she let each of us hold a snake and then also brought out a lizard. She was so lovely and kind and really gave the children a great experience before we had even entered the animals. We did a walk through and fed some animals the goats especially were a hoot.

marthajane reilly

Recommend checking out this place cool animals

Charlo Micallef

My Granddaughter was thrilled to see the many different Bird Species. I especially enjoyed seeing the Tassie Devils moving around their enclosure.

Mark Williams

Very disappointed. Most enclosures looked empy and nobody there to explain to you why. We were the first visitors in the morning so no excuse for the disgusting conditions of the toilet facilities. Lovely little place, just feels abandoned and not looked after. Shame.

Askew & Co Barristers & Solicitors

A run for profit zoo, no discount for Perth Zoo members, refused to allow me to pay via pay wave. The enthusiasm is gone and it's up for sale.

Ebony Henthorn

Great little place. Must visit for all Perthions. Especially for bird lovers. Peacocks are the best. Must support these guys.

Matt Haunold

Great day out for the kids. Snake handling and awesome array of Aussie natives

Brenton Swanepoel

Great time here, I GOT TO SEE TASMANIAN DEVILS!!! Lol. That alone was worth the trip. The kangaroos, birds, I was able to handle snakes too :)

Peter Taggart

Great exhibit of native animals and interactivity for the kids. Would recommend.

Ellen Patterson

Absolutely a must see for all families. The aviary is sensational, birds come and sit on your shoulder and chat to you. Highly recommended.

Anna Kay

Our family of 4 had a wonderful afternoon at this local zoo. Great variety of Australian animals from Tasmanian Devils to colourful birds. Lots of hands on experiences. The best part for us was the walk through bird aviary where the inhabitants were very friendly and chatty. This would especially be a great place if you have visitors from overseas!

Phil Turner

Karly was absolutely amazing so sweet and helpful but also approachable with questions. The hands on part was a big hit with us all aged 6,12,16,34 . We loved it and will be happy to tell all to go see it. We even got to hold a snake and a ferret . Thanks for a great day! We lived in the pilbara and the goldfields and this was reminding us of the better part of country living in the city .

Allgernon Simpson

Beautiful zoo and very cute, friendly animals

Craig Stones

Very good place to visit with the kids the new owner Bradley is a long time friend of our family and it was very great to see him forfilling his dream of owning and running a zoo i will be doing all i can to help him succeed in his dream so please come along and enjoy the birds and the animals

Max Madgwick

Kids loved it

Angelique Svedin

Wonderful Zoo which allows visitors to enjoy interacting with wildlife.

Josel San Diego

Great little zoo. Well set out and very interactive. Definitely recommend especially for kids.

Bec Campbell

Not the best by far.

mary vella

My sons love this place. Small quiet and calm. Spent a good few hours there

Michelle Olaithe

Good place to take the kids and they get to pat the animals as well.

Green Monkey

Loved seeing the owls an the Tassie Devil.

Tim Fletcher

Just amazing

Aaron Winslow

Ranger red zoo is a great place to take anybody who wants a more hands-on experience than a larger zoo. if you have visitors from overseas and they want to get up close to a kangaroo this is definitely place to take them. Heaps of Australian native wildlife. They also cater for larger groups including birthday parties for kids.

Daves one off crafts

I've been doing work experience at Peel Zoo for about four weeks now, and I've loved every bit of it. There's a wide variety of native animals and some that are not native to Australia. The animals are super friendly and easy to interact with. The grounds are kept clean and tidy. The staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and can answer almost any question you have about the animals. Peel Zoo is a great place for a family trip or for people who just want to get close to nature. The animals in the petting area and walk in aviary are very friendly and really give you some perspective on the natural world. The only downside I can say is that there's no water fountains, so you either have to buy water there or bring your own, but that's not enough to give Peel Zoo any less than 5 stars. Highly recommended.

Julie Preston

Fantastic local day out

Alexander Gilvary

A Private owned zoo with friendly staff and animals.

Carrie Pollard

Fun little zoo with a focus on native wildlife and kids’ petting experiences. Our kids loved the chance to interact with goats, roos, birds, and deer.

Astrid Chamberlain

Peel zoo was awesome

Andy Williams

Amazing

Tania Sarich

Our Grandies love this place, especially the walk through aviary and being able to feed the goats and sheep. I feel that it is a bit tatty, needs to be spruced up a bit.

dana

We had so much fun this morning Thank you. Wonderful to see so many volunteers helping and the staff were so friendly and informative. So many amazing birds and feeding the animals was hilarious. An ostrich stole the bag right out of my sons hand while my other son got stalked by the Turkey. So many laughing tears.

Christie Vernede

Loved it!

Chris ODwyer

Best day of my life

Claudine Lee

Awesome place for kids and adults

Flayer

We visited the zoo yesterday and was really saddened by the very poor condition that some animals were in. The place is really rundown and enclosures smelly and dirty. Saw some rotting dead animals covered with flies been fed to the Tasmanian devils and probably why they weren't eaten. Felt really sad for the animals and couldn't stop but feel that they were neglected and needed care. I feel it's animal cruelty and was surprised how RSPCA or any animal welfare authority hasn't taken any action yet.

John Boy

Can't wait until it's bigger and better! Need to start education for the public as well

Jason Doyle

Okay but lots of empty exhibits at moment (new ownership I believe). Setup good but price a bit high at present

Ranger Red's Zoo & Conservation Park (Previously P

Pretty good

Sharen Evans

Great place for the kids

martin dike

Cool place

Stephanie Joyce

Great place to take the kids for a day

Steven Blowers

Great little place

Natasha Coller

Very enjoyable visit! Lots of animals to see, enjoyed the interactive map and feeding the kangaroos!

Robyn

Fun place to get up close and personal with the animals. There are peacocks roaming around which is cool, you can feed and pat the emus, sheep, deer, alpacas and roos. The large black alpaca is greedy. The smaller brown one has some dental issues and struggles to keep the food in his mouth. The sheep ate my map. My favourite furry friend was Quentin the Quokka who came up for a pat and then proceeded to lick the salt off my fingers from the chips I'd eaten earlier in the day. Super cute. Would have taken him home. Beware of the Macaw. He pressed his head against the cage for a scratch and seemed to be enjoying it for about 10 seconds before flipping around and trying to bite my finger. Possible bipolar bird. Scratch with caution. All in all 10/10 experience. Great place for children. Would have taken some, but I don't know any.

Ben Manfield

Great place!

Brian Thompson

Very sad

fraser brown

Full of cute animals and talking parrots ♥ ♥

Noel Aird

Friendly helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Your free to go where you like as long as you respect the signs put about for yours and the animals safety. However, maybe some authorised control in the walk through bird enclosure lol And more BBQ areas for picnics. Overall a great place to handfeed and touch animals.

Mary

Terrible! This is not a zoo! Call it what is is, a bird sanctuary with a few other animals but don't call it a zoo. 1 Koala bear and no petting area for the kangaroos. It's dirty and not well kept, totally run down. Seniors discount for Australians only? What about tourist! Totally disgusted! Don't waste you time and money to bring your families here. Take the time and money and spend it wisely at a proper zoo.

Ted OMeara

It’s very sad to see that this once amazing small animal park is now dwindling to extinction. I would say right now it’s more of a bird park. There was a lot of animal exhibits that were sadly empty. There was NO wow factor here.

Sue Martin

It's not exactly amazing but the hands on experiences are no extra cost.

Paul Davey

The animals seemed to be needing larger cages or runs! Not enough sunlight.

Dan J Swan (DanMan78)

Great for kids of all ages!

Chris Meredith

What a fun day

Tahlia Tzila

Fabulous. Loved my time with Ashton the koala

Dutchy Vv

Nice variety. Needs a bit of maintenance though. Coffee shop, toilets and a few tables for picnic.

Mark Sampson

Great zoo for kids

Kyle McPherson

Really fun day out. The birds are well looked after and the walk though bird sanctuary is great fun, the birds are so friendly

Aster Artist

It's not Perth zoo, and it's not trying to be either. An enjoyable hour was spent there with my 2 yr old and wife.

Wayne Knight

Great place for the kids

TyeLilly Bell

We love to come to Peel zoo, the animals are well taken care of and aviary is so much fun! We had a chance to pet the snakes and lizards! Awesome day!

mr optic

Good place for the kids, although it is grubby and they take little maintenance of the place it has a good overall vibe

Elizabeth Hardingham

Loved the walk through bird enclosure.

Corrina Goldsmith

Definitely a place 4 the family, the kids I saw were beaming happy

Dion Williams

Great place for a short visit, especially for overseas visitors.

Leslie Thomas

Plenty of parking available and great friendly staff. Animals looking very well looked after!

Jordan

So fun! I enjoyed the hands on zoo experience, especially the very chatty birds.

FadedArtist

Ranger Red has done an amazing amount of work on this zoo. So many beautiful exotic birds and native Aussie mammals. I really enjoyed my day at the zoo :)

Sharon Todd

Lovely zoo very hands on

Kevin Saul

Went here at 2pm one day and it was shut due to not enough visitors!!!

Michael Povey

Had such a great day here very family friendly. I happened to ring ahead and ask if they had bbqs available onsite and yes they do !! It was fantastic the girl behind the desk even happily booked one for us. Be sure to take a look at the schedule as we had a lot of fun being able to have a hold of the carpet python during our visit. The staff have exemplary customer service they were all so lovely and happy. As far as disability friendly I personally think it was great the park itself was paved almost everywhere only a couple of the petting enclosures might be a struggle to get through the sand but I had a great time none the less fantastic disability parking and toilets. Thanks so very much for having us today guys.

Dwayne Ballast

Went to the zoo today it was my second visit. I have to say I'm very disappointed... there was a lack of animals there this time around. Alot were hiding somewhere or not there at all. None of the animals ate the food . I suppose I'd get sick of all these people feeding me pellets day in day out. I would of seen the same birds and animals if i walked out to my backyard. Kinda overpriced for what it was.

Avalon O'Neill

Not quite sure about this place ????

Ryan Chase

This place is awful. I had my finger AMPUTATED by there petting zoo miniature pony. DO NOT take you children here. The staff was uneducated and if anything rude to me whilst I was trying to get medical attention on my finger. They left me sitting on the floor for 5 minutes, and told me and the ambulance that it “was just a little bit of skin off my finger” Whilst ranger red was applying “medical attention” not only did a deer escape its enclosure, there was an awfully rude lady who instead of being sympathetic she was rude and disgusting towards me and my family. And tried to blame the entire situation on me. I have had surgery on my finger and now a long road to recovery, and the park has still not contacted me to issue me an apology or even ask if I’m okay. Absolutely awful place. Do not come here.

Flora Tindo

Not much too see....

Christina Day

Small Park not too many animals but still a really good day out. Has a small Cafe with decent food.

Perth Splashbacks

Peel Zoo is a fantastic look at some Australian wildlife that you would probably have seen before, as well as dotted with a few surprise guests like deer! Not only do you get to see these creatures up close, but you also get to feed them if they feel like it. I haven't quite experienced anything like feeding a huge deer before. A wonderful numbering system allows you to recognise what you are looking at and gives you a bit of a sense of direction when you walk around the enclosures. All round a great experience if you are looking for something to do for a few hours, at a really nice price.

Adrian Lord

Keeps the kids entertained for a while.

Dot Terry

Staff were awesome. Animals cool too...

Carol Rawhiti

Came down with my girlfriend to see some native Australian animals, and be able to pet them, feed them, and interact with them. There are lots of birds, many species, with a few cheeky ones about the place! You can pet kangaroos, alpacas, sheep, deer, emu; whilst feeding them aswell.. Well, trying not to get the feed stolen by them at least. They have a walk through aviary, with the main attraction for us being the sulfur crested cockatoos, who were very affectionate, and talkative. 5 stars, will visit again!

Ashlee Davidson

Great animal experiences and friendly staff.

Mike N (MTB)

Great little zoo. Birds were pretty fun. Good for little kids

Prissilia Kho

Wonderful place to chat with the animals

Diane Doney

We were the only ones in the zoo!! Was fun, the kids loved it ????

Tushar Mhawarkar

It needs major revamp . most amials are resting during the day so only really get to see birds and larger animals kangaroo emu ect . Cages are small it took around 40mins see everything that could see . There is 3 areas you can feeded the animals ( you buy food at frount counter ).most where not interested in eating. it was very hot the day we went. kids still enjoyed interaction with them. The price of entry is about same as most zoo honesty not a zoo is a petting park with some animals in cages. Sorry but not worth returning to.

Darryl Harry

Lovely little zoo in the Peel area! All the staff were friendly and informative. Every enclosure we went to appeared well maintained and all animals looked happy and healthy, which I can't always say about small zoos! I loved being able to hand feed the emus, deers, and other assortment of hungry critters, plus the walk in aviary and quiet area (for possums and such) was amazing! My partner and I had a blast and the map given was very clear and easy to understand. Definitely worth the price and would definitely go back at a later date.

G B (OZ Bumblebee)

Very hands on little zoo, have great memories, very relaxing to walk through and enjoy the animals.

Rokinram Inglis

Great staff very friendly animals fantastic parrots

Mark Vandenberg

Loved it every single time. Thank you for the memories.

Noelene Moffatt

My and I loved it

Aileen Murfitt

A bit run down, and the animals look sad, but quaint and sweet, run by lovely, helpful people, and their Tasmanian Devil reproduction program is interesting.

Lee Spencer

Enjoyable!

Mark

Amazing hands on experience. We loved it

Aaron Guy

Such a fun morning! The birds and sheep are very interactive. Loved the hands on experience. Watch small kids around the kangaroos. They will kick!

Taralee Tancredi

Nice place if your kids love the animals, staff very freindly, plenty of shade, plenty of animals to touch.

Nicole Payne

Very run down facility. Lots of the water in enclosures were mouldy or empty. Animals in some enclosures showed signs of stress. Tiny enclosures. Made me very upset. Sorry I went. I noticed some of your reply you stated it's very expensive to run a zoo. Maybe you shouldn't be running a zoo if it cannot be kept up to standed. You also say most people enjoy it. Well the the general people I spoke to that day were also disgusted. That was just that day. Been to many zoo's, wildlife exhibits this is not ok. Plus for goodness sake take 20min to clean the public toilets with a bit of disinfectant. Also fill your hand sanitisers ????

Christine Doidge (Seapearl)

Great place for the kids, great day out

Jonathan Powles

Hand feeding the animals was a great experience. Unfortunately the wombats were asleep

Joy Novello

Great for the little kids

Natasha Lewis

Loved my first visit here! Very close up and personal with the animals. The zoo keeper was informative and friendly! Loved the walk through aviary. Kid friendly. Great experience for us! A must go! Loved the beautiful talking Macaw!

Brendan Oakey

Overall the bird enclosures were quite upsetting. The worst one is number 29 which is small with one long billed corella in it, the metal shelves are rusted and one has a hole with sharp bits sticking up. The food is cheap seed (mostly sunflower, same as what the macaws have), a few perches on the ground, one piece of old dry poop covered branch on the ground, one tin can to play with, this is what I’d expect from an owner who doesn’t have much knowledge on birds. I have photos of this if the responder would like to see them as I see you respond quite defensively to most posts. One of the macaws seems to have a behavioural issue with attacking himself and staff were dismissive of it. I’m sure everyone does their best, probably understaffed but maybe there’s a solution somewhere like passing some birds onto other centres.

Midknight Vapes

Was excellent. Would definitely make a turn there again.

Brad Whitcroft

Very different experience. Should visit at least once

Rebecca Fowles

Fantastic experience for young and old

Hendrik Solomon

The best place to take kids for a more intimate zoo experience - minus the Perth Zoo crowds!

Charles S.

Fun small zoo that has a surprising range of animals. Well worth a visit.

Chris Round

I had a lovely time with my grandson (nearly 5 years). Just right for us. Some areas look a bit neglected but birds in good size cages etc. Animals friendly and we enjoyed feeding them. Staff very welcoming.

Lydia Thipthorp

D.A Draper

A must-visit on your trip to the Peel Region. Great family destination for all ages. With a focus on wildlife conservation and education, you'll enjoy the interactions available at the zoo. Picnic area also available with barbecues. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Room to take a pram around, but not too big that little ones will tire from walking.

Assunta Tilli

Really lovely rehabilation program for Tasmanian Devils. Not for profit organisation. Kids and Parents loved the experience. Highly recommended.

Ky Tyler

Excellent private zoo, great staff, very enjoyable experience

Diane Murray

family atmosphere, nice staff, .... a lot of local animals in good condition, ... very decent birds

Linda Jones

Food was beautiful

tristan merrick

Great place to visit for Aussie animals and parrots! Will definitely come back and would recommend to people. My only criticism; the toilets could do with some upgrading and were quite cramped, but they were clean.

Zahrah S

Wonderful place, lots animals, birds, reptiles, snakes etc etc. The kids would thoroughly enjoy it

Bobby Van Heerden

Good for little kids, it has a few petting enclosures where you can also feed the animals. All Australian native animals which is great but quite a few are nocturnal. The walk in aivery is a good attraction. Older kids may find it basic.

Grace Martino

Supporting local business

Christina Wilson

Came this morning with my son and had a great time! We love parrots so that's why we came. The experience was amazing!

Tash

Excellent place to visit, lots of animals you don't normally see in a very natural and well cared for environment. We loved it ❤

Aldrin McWeen

Fantastic value. Up close and personal with a fantastic variety. Particularly enjoyed how compact it all is. Animal after animal for a couple of hours. Really good for young kids.

Terri Crocker

We had a great time and my daughter loved it.

Amanda Cashmere-Green (Manda)

IT was a great time

Stephen Doney

Always have a good laugh here, its a great zoo that you can hand feed most of the animals. The alpacas are really funny and the walk in bird avairy is great though a couple of the cockateels did bite. Loved the big black cockatoo, he sat on my shoulder and wouldnt get off! There are BBQ facilities next door which we didnt know about, next time!

Raja Bhullar

Had an awesome day at the renaming weekend, Ranger Reds Zoo is like an animal sanctuary the staff were very informative and it was a great interactive educational experience. My son loved it! Especially the walk through avairy, having Autism he loved the hands on experiences with the animals and reptiles that you dont get at other places. It was our first ever visit but will definately return and can see the potential this place has.

emilyanitasmith77

Nice relaxing atmosphere zoo with all different types of animal. Ones that slither on the floor to ones that fly. The little ones will no be disappointed.

Visit Morgan ASAP, he is adorable.

vicki vlschaffer@bigpond.com

Awesome day out with the renaming of Peel Zoo. Ranger Red doing a excellent job and always a pleasurable visit to now Ranger Reds Observation Park.

Joel Weston G Mail

We actually did not enter as we were visiting with two 82 year olds from the United Kingdom and one of them did not feel up to walking around, so we asked if she could sit just inside the door and have a cup of tea and wait while we showed the other visitor around. We were told we could do that but we would have to pay the same entry fee for the elderly lady to sit and have her cup of tea. We left in disgust. This is definitely not the way to look after not just customers but the elderly and definitely not to the way to get repeat business and recommendations. When I commented on their Facebook page they deleted my comment. Would not visit or recommend to anyone.

Bibie Ane

Sad seeing them in cages

Vicky Valenzuela

Fantastic

Jus Saying

Great place to interact with animals

Gary Downs

The zoo needs refurbishment.

Keisha Lavigne

Awesome zoo the animals are great! Will definitely returning ????

Anita Whitney

A great place to visit

Antonio Aquilia

Great little Zoo, lots of hands on. Great zoo keepers and volunteers.

Lisa Brown

The Peel Zoo was a fantastic place to decide to bring an international guest for her to get up close with Aussie Animals. The staff are a joy.

colin daly

Really enjoyed our time here, there's lots to see for big kids, small kids and adults who refuse to grow up ???? Our favourite was the walk through bird enclosure ???????????? Thanks to the staff who make this a special experience ????

glen burnham

It's the best zoo ever

Harriet Ogburn

It was great.our grandchildren loved it. We will be back!

Chris Buckels

Very friendly staff. The team are awesome. A close and natural experience with the animals. The zoo keeper for a day is a massive hit with my kids... even as they are older

Mena Megalaa

Change of ownership so still would require a bit more work. Maybe some extra feed fpr the animals in the snady paddock that you purchase the feed for.

Lisabeth Hooper

I love Peel Zoo because they have wonderful animals and birds to interact with. The people are lovely. And Red the new owner is doing great things to make the Zoo even better. Its a wonderful place for family days out.

Clinton Butler

Had a great time. The place is small but none the less a great place to visit. The Animals well looked after.

Tammy Biscan

Kids luv it good variety of all sorts

Anusha Dassanayake

Took my daughter their today She enjoyed it. But the deets took the whole bag of feed But all round she enjoyed it

Jimi Lea

Staff are fantastic and very informative. I enjoyed it more than Perth zoo!

Russell Shaw

Such a fantastic day out. Plenty to see and interact with which makes it that much more enjoyable as you get the opportunity to get hands on with such an array of animals with various handling sessions throughout the day. There are friendly staff and a great cafe/bar area to enjoy a lunch or a coffee. The place has a "off the grid" feel to it and allows you to get lost and absorbed in the interesting collection of animals that fly, crawl, jump and swim. Great day out and will definitely be going back some day.

Chris Eaton

Not a bad zoo with a good range of animals, but slightly pricey I feel. Could have a better place for picnic or family resting place.

Yvonne Gorman

Even though we enjoyed ourselves, our grandson was a bit disappointed

Robin Larter

Not worth the stop in our opinion. This place could do with a facelift and general TLC.

Paula van Styn

Good place for a quick visit with kids! Walk through bird aviary is nice

Kay Obrien

Our children really loved it here. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Would return here.

Claudia Evans

Personally and this is my opinion but I'm so happy we didn't have the kids with us because I didn't want them to C our national animals our code of arms looking so miss treaten the whole place had a real feel of neglect.

Savage Red

All th children loved handling the carpet python and th ranger was great with them .

Tasha Boyce

Good little zoo will keep you busy for a few hours. The girl doing the talk told us that the tasmanian devil's can chew through steel yet she put her boot near its mouth. Very cheap, whilst living nearby one of the tasmanian devil's escaped but was eventually caught after a few days. Its great for the price but Perth Zoo is on a different level. If you just want to kill a couple of hours for a small cost then visit peel zoo. However if you have a day spare then visit Perth zoo for a great day out. Good location in Pinjarra and not too far from Mandurah.

Bryan Payne

Great for kids.

Malinda Bruning

I realy enjoyed it

Fredo Frog

The animals are well looked after and the kids liked the feed n pat the animals

Catherine Glenn

Nothing much to see, very small zoo. Mostly birds and few animals.

Corrie Mckinlay

Such a great local businesses that needs community support, wonderful day spent with the grandchildren that loved everything about it...

Nathalie Johansson

I was seriously underwhelmed with this facility, the pens and cages were in my opinion mostly very small and dirty. Some of the animals were displaying signs of stress and it was hard to spot many animals. The kids loved the deer and the dingoes who were the highlight of our trip.

Natasha Bolfing

Was great to get up close and personal with some amazing animals. Well kept park like setting with a variety of wildlife. We had a great family experience here.

Karen Ricci

Well worth a look. Some beautiful birds and animals

Rebecca Pukallus

I’m giving a 3 star for the fact it’s so nice to get close to and be able to feed the animals, but it’s very pricey for what it is. The whole place needs a makeover and a good clean. Spiderwebs, dirt and bugs, as well as paint peeling, on the outside of the cages. Very small and cramped, and the layout makes no sense. Not sure if it doesn’t have the funding or what the issue is, but it needs some serious TLC.

Ben Jenkinson

Very disappointing. I hadn’t been in many years and thought it would be different with a new owner but sadly it’s not. I get it would take a lot of money to run a zoo but just tidying the enclosures a bit more could make a huge difference. Our experience today was ruined half way through as a crow flew over and dropped a piece of dead carcass from the Tasmanian Devil enclosure on my 9 and 2 year old. 2 of the keepers were standing a metre away feeding carrots to other animals, looked over and didn’t even see if everything was ok. My 9 year was quite upset and pointing at it on the ground. Still shocked they didn’t see it. After cleaning them up there weren’t even bins anywhere close by. The hand sanitiser was empty near the walk in enclosures and this was only around 1.30pm. Some more steps to see the wombat would be nice too. Not sure where or if the koala is there either.

Linz Earth

Red Ranger Zoo (aka Peel) visited Innaloo nr Coles to raise funds for animals who were burnt in the bushfires, many with babies on-board. Heartbreaking. My main emphasis here, apart from the wonder and diversity of God's creatures there (owl, baby quokka), is a zookeeper named Bree. This young lady exuded passion for her animals and her work - and boy did it show.I had a fear of snakes, and within 20 minutes of watching and learning how to stroke the snake (with the grain like a cat) - I held a medium-sized carpet python. Thanks Bree - you're employer is blessed to have you on board!

Bec Lawrance

Especially enjoyable for birds lovers, quite a lot of birds. Other species are sleeping, we saw only one Koala and one wombat. Parrots are so clever and cute, some of them are learning “hello” very soon. Sheep and alpacas are quite friendly. But I feel so bad for the tiny toilet and no sanitizers in all parts of the zoo.

Raelene Oliver

Great view of the animals but can be a bit confronting at feeding time. Found it hard trying to explain to my 3 year old why the (dead) baby chickens wernt moving.

Sudzy

Awesome, staff were helpful and friendly, great place for the kids.

rebecca mauer

Enjoyed it with my Family would like to see a few more attractions

Brad C

Was amazing! I went with my 1.5yr old and he had a blast, feeding emus was definitely his favourite. Paths are very pram friendly and loads of seating and shade along the way. Will be definitely be returning!

Matteo Mascaro

Took my family today and let's say disappointed is one word I would use the other would be disgusted, to see most of the animals in the state they were, most looked like they had been heavily sedated which was just sad. Then to walk into the bird sanctuary and see birds that have been terrorised by kids that dont understand was shameful to say the least, to have two cockies slowly watlz up to you and start shaking was also a bit sad. The people running the place have obviously lost interest on it, wasnt a happy day out which was meant to be a good day out with the kids. Do not recommend this place at all. Facilities were dirty there was a lack of food, and a total waste of nearly 100 dollars we could have put somewhere else. Cheers Peel Zoo you guys should be ashamed.

Lizzie Hemopo

The owner sounds like a fool. Will never visit here

Tina Blackmore

Bit overpriced for the amount of animals there

Kaewan ko sayo (BEN)

This place needs a good clean and some TLC , it used to be good a few years ago.

Chloe Anderson

Nice zoo with opportunity for closer encounters with animals.

chloe renn

If you like birds and kangaroos this one's for you. So basic, could have seen them for free near my house. My son did like the alpacas though but seriously this wasn't worth $60

Nate Smith

There are several areas for feeding and petting animals including a walk in aviary with lots of different birds to feed and watch. Some are friendlier then others, often one will perch on you. Over all it's a smaller zoo but with a much more hands on approach which makes it far more enjoyable then any other zoo I've been to. Thanks to the hard workers that keep it going, also thank you even more for you Tas Devil conservation work (also the Deer's are cute as heck).

Wayne Hendy

It was good enjoyed it

Juliette R

Great place to take the family for a good day out.

Ben Hunt

Absolutely loved our visit ~ so many good people taking care of the place and the various birds/animals and critters were awesome

**

Great little zoo to visit with some nice animals to see. Well maintained and animals seem happy. Staff are friendly and happy to chat.

Wilko van der Jagt

Enjoyed our morning there showing my mum the animals and birds of australia - shes been stuck here from NZ. She started missing her animals back home ie; her goats turkeys and chickens. Staff were really nice and friendly

Patrick Armour

Awesome experience the birds were fantastic

theuns van vuuren

Good time

Bec Myers

Great place to bring young kids as the animals are very close and the animals you can feed are suprisingly gentle.

Ashlee Brazel

Lovely little place. Even had a Red tailed cockatoo land on my arm and fed from my hand. Loved it and my son loved to hang out with the kangaroos

Josh Cougan

Cute little zoo

Sonica Steyn

Fantastic

Peter & Leanne Paterson

Great place to take the family. Can hand feed the animals too.

Rob Brown

Good place for young children and the staff were informative and friendly. The peel zoo app didn't work but the QR codes told you what animals were in the inclosure. The zoo promoted the Tasmanian Devil but very little merchandise which was a shame as my little girl wanted a toy one.

Joanna Warner

Very dissapointed with the upkeep and animal condition. Bad value for money Unfortunately

sandgroper 47

Private tour for a birthday, was lots of fun and a quiet peaceful little zoo

Tahnee Edwards

Amazing hands on zoo close to Mandurah, would say its definitely worth a visit ???? Meet the talking parrots!

Scott Terrill

This zoo needs a make-over it's sorely in need of attention. There are some stunning birds and they look in good condition. I understand there is a new owner so hopefully things will improve. The highlight was free flying Red-tailed Black Cockatoos which were quite stunning.

Maakere Marr

Took my 4yr son, it was very thrilling for him to be able to pat the kangaroos and feed the animals, highly recommended for young families

Sussan Schenk

Absolutely loved it! So varied

Steven hall

Amazing! Couldn't ask for a better day out.

robert broomhall

Expensive Entry fees & Food and beverage prices Only 1 Koala Nice atmosphere Hands on experience with Kangaroos Overall i would rate the Peel Zoo 3 Star

Tony Boschman

Nice family day out

Kuljit Kaur

Lovely place, plenty to see and very professionally run for a small enterprise. Staff are courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended a visit.

Scott harding

Not too big, but allows you to get close up to the animals, lots of variety. Cafe very simple, probably worth byo picnix

Samantha Jones

Grand Daughter love it. As we did as well. Worth the money to see all thier Animals

Cara Burrows

They are doing a great job. Small and intimate. Very enjoyable. Maybe a little expensive but they would have big expenses.

dj far

My daughter (8)and her little BBF was junior zoo keepers for a day (my daughter for two days) and they loved it. It was such a great experience for them both and the fact that they had it together made it so much more special. The 2nd day, really great for me as a parent. I followed my daughter and the zoo keeper/carer for my girl. What an amazing place... my daughter shun she was totally in her element and the fact that the zoo gave her responsibilities looking after the animals, made her feel that they believed in her and her capabilities to do a fantastic job.... and she did! Last year I paid for two days, for her to be a junior zoo keeper at Perth zoo - which she enjoyed a lot... However, even though Ranger Red zoo is a lot smaller than Perth zoo. That is when the saying "less is more" because in this instance it is.... RANGER RED your zoo is worth ever $$$ and the education for the kids are fabulous - Thank you! From a very happy mum and her daughter from Bunbury

Rachael Smith

We came to Peel Zoo about 5 years ago while in WA visiting family, it was lovely then...well maintained, snakes were kept in public view, now they're kept away in a building only staff can access. The animals we saw on this visit were mostly asleep in their drab looking enclosures, and the ones who were accessible looked disinterested and morbid. We were encouraged to buy a bag of feed but none the animals were interested in eating. The price to get in is way too high, you pay close to that for a big zoo with exotic and a huge array of captive wild animals. Very dissapointing to see how run down Peel Zoo has become...it's a petting farm really and should be advertised as such, with an entry fee to match

Sharon Atkins

A great little zoo.

Todd Briggs

Very rundown not worth the overpriced admission fee

Teagan Denton

Absolutely amazing. Don't know where the zoo stopped and the wildlife starts. The walk in aviary is out of this world friendly

Scott Hook

Dont bother bringing family here was very disappointed. Very dirty and feeding the owls with dead birds not good letting children see this happening our kids were horrified. Will definitely not be recommending your zoo to anyone else. Definitely a waste of money.

Sir Potato

Great little zoo. Fairly interactive. Able to feed and pat a lot of animals. Very happy to have visited.

Jason Bowen

Loved it great place to visit

Robert Jamieson

The time at the zoo was amazing and perfect setting

Jamie Williams

Really nice zoo

Kelly Wayne

For a private zoo it was good no problem seeing the animals and the staff was very knowledgeable in all the animals

ken maddick

Loved the aviary

Jolene Tooke

Fantastic i left feeling that I love any animal feel good moment

jj alvarez

I love this place, staff always friendly and my daughter loves getting to hold the snakes. Just wish it had more grassy spots for the sheep but I assume it's that way cus they would eat it all. Other than that I love it

Lisa Bianezos

Needs work doing to it. Beautiful grounds though.

Ben Walmsley

Nice restaurant

Dean Flaws

Great place.

guy moore

Staff are great. Place is a bit run down, but i suppose you get that with animal places. Quite expensive to get in, but little kids enjoy it. Birthday party meet and greets with the animals are great.

Greg Hogan

Very good

Amy M

Great place very intimate atmosphere unlike any other zoo.

Vickie Eaton

Not worth the money

Rodney W

Great place to explore with the thrins

Terry McDonnell

Loved to see the animals up close

Kath B

Animals look happy and healthy. Very nice and interactive place

Cheryl McKechnie

Small zoo, most enclosures were empty and it’s pricey for the short time you spend there

Mark Sparky Spencer

It's a great zoo. Was quiet when we went which is good for a Saturday on a long weekend, don't have to line up for anything or look over anyone's shoulders. It's very hands on, you can pat a lot of the animals and the staff are great. A young man (Josh?) even bought a small and safe snake out for the kids to handle. You can get really close to the animals and they all looked pretty happy except for the older sheep who I think were content to just lay down in the shade. There are a lot of birds, including friendly ones you can handle and will follow you if you give them a scratch. Overall very impressed, whilst it's a long drive compared to Perth Zoo I think it was a better day then what Perth Zoo could offer. Be sure to pack your own lunch as there isn't much food here or in the area.

abutu ego

Good place..

Emma Maclennan

Ok as it's got some animals that the kids haven't seen before! BUT this place is so run down and poorly laid out that it is really needing a big overhaul and funding boost or something... can say for myself and other people I know that we will never be going back, sad but there's just no draw card to have people come back again

Neil Cotton

Excellent for all the family, or just a couple of you, lots to see and do but not over a huge area, so great if you can't walk long distance or you just have a couple of hours

peter chiverton

Fantastic. Very. Important. Zoo.take. Care of.birds.

Chloe Turner

Really nice, easy place to get around and see the animals. Nothing fancy but kids loved it. Small enough to go back and see their favorite bits again. 2 areas to bring your own lunch and eat but they do have some food on offer. Gift shop is well stocked. If you go in the Roo pen you can find peacock feathers everywhere!

ian purdy

Great Australian Zoo. Definitely check it out! Ranger Red is a great and knowledgeable guy and it is clear how much he cares and respects the animals in his care. Thank you for a great outing. The adults and kids loved it equally.

Ganeshkumar Subramanian

Loved the Australian animals. Were allowed to hand feed some animals. Allowed to pat lizard and python. Icecream and soft drinks available.

kar rea

My toddler enjoyed getting to pat the kangaroos and the staff were nice but that's all that I can say about it being nice. The sheep were so fat I'm surprised they could stand up. Enclosures for everything except the birds were nothing but dirt . The animals looked so sad and miserable. Will never visit again nor recommend it .

Miss Victoria

This was a fun and interactive morning out for my family and I. Ranger Red was welcoming, provided a map and let us know where to look for the daily timetable. The keepers were happy to answer questions and let us pat/feed the animals. Our highlights were feeding the Ostrichs and seeing soo many different types of birds. Bird lovers, this is a must! It took us about 2hrs (without kids) and Id certainly recommend it. Thank you to Ranger Ted and his team for helping us make memories.

aden collis

This is a wonderful hands on Zoo. Loads of animals too see & touch. You can buy a bag of pellets to feed roos, deer, alpacas & emu's.(lots more) A great breeding program for Tassie Devils. Feeding time is hilarious & educational. Got to pet a dingo & held many native cockatoos & parrots. Walk in avairy is fantastic. Wombats, koalas & Bettongs. Amazing place to visit highly recommend.

Ryan Heath

Love this place. Especially the bird enclosure. Staff is really friendly

gregski29

Nice spot, food was good and friendly staff

louise wrigley

Nice restaurant

James Joyce

Definetly 5 stars. The kids had a great day. The staff where very friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

Robert Hollow

Wasn't to bad, too many birds for my liking and not enough reptiles,

Ash Ellemor

We had an amazing time at Peel Zoo! The Koalas are just too cute!

Mik Clarke

What a great little excursions for my child! Interactive and friendly. Loved the place.

Yogesh Pimpale

Love the galahs

Lillian Paterson

Had a great visit with the kids here. Also enjoyable for adults. The kids loved feeding the animals and holding the snakes. A really well maintained property with lots to do and see

Naomi

Great place, close interaction with animals and staff.

Niran Wick

Had a really lovely day here, the staff were friendly and the animals were so interactive. Enjoyed myself here more than at the Perth Zoo if I'm honest.

Karen Credland

Enjoyable day out for the kids.

Pamela Tyson

This place has lots of different Australian wildlife but mostly birds in aviaries. A great place for young kids with some areas to pet and feed the animals. This is the first place I've seen a wombat as they are never seen at Perth zoo. The zoo is well maintained and kept quite clean too.

Betsy Alan

We've come here twice, once just before the lock down and once soon after the restrictions were lifted. We love walking around, feeding the kangaroos, emus, sheep, goats and deer. The goats can easily overwhelm you once they see you have food and it's just wonderful having so many animals around you. The large walk through aviary is amazing, and on our second visit the birds were so friendly and affectionate. I think they missed people. We spent over an hour just in that enclosure. We'll be back again soon

martin fraser

A pleasant experience for the whole family

Tracey Murray

It maybe small but it has a variety of animals you won't see at the zoo.

Sylvia

Was lots of fun, great for little ones!

Debra Tev

Close to Mandurah. Wide variety of animals. Kids can feed sheep goats kangaroo deer and alpacas.

love lana

This place is great for family and friends, however, this is more a bird sanctuary and Australian fauna park than a zoo. We brought a picnic lunch and left it at the picnic tables by the entrance while we looked around. Lots of lovely shady trees, hands on experiences feeding and petting animals, including a snake if you're keen! Plenty of beautiful birds including peacocks who roam the place. Bear in mind that some of the Australian animals are very timid and/or nocturnal, so you will need to be patient and look closely to spot them. Terrific staff and a good place to wile away some time on the holidays.

Isabella Ryniker

Lovely small zoo, great opportunity for children (especially littlies) to see lots of different animals without being an exhausting hike across the countryside. Lots of encounter opportunities, well maintained walk in aviaries etc. We took 2 x 5yrs who saw everything they wanted to see in 1.5hrs, including a snake holding experience and feeding the (very enthusiastic) goats and deer. Does have instant coffee/tea making facilities, ice creams and cold drinks, it's shame there's no sandwiches/snacks available. (Minus 1 ⭐)

Jaimylee Hutchison

Plenty of birds they have. Some snakes. Farm animals and amazingly some animals that I've rarely seen, like Tasmanian dragon, numbat, etc. Can feed and touch the animals which is very nice. If you pass the parrots watch your language as they talk????. Price was a bit high and was a pity that they don't have some proper horses. Just one single pony is not enough.

Roger B

We visited, recently changed name, 'Ranger Reds Zoo' on 30/8/20. Was our daughters 8th birthday and we arranged to have a private animal encounter. The Zoo can be seen comfortably with in 1hr, but, more time is recommended. The Zoo is extremely interactive. Lots to see and do at your pace. The children were so excited and happy. The kangaroos had Joey's in pouches. The Emus sung thier song. The Lamas allowed the children to approach and touch, as with the deer. The birds were awesome to feed, view and enjoy. The highlights were the Tassie Devil, the Dingos, the Peacocks and the Owls! I would recommend all ages to attend. Plenty of spots at the front of the zoo for a packed lunch. Plenty of opportunity for encounters at arranged times at the front of the Zoo. We had a pleasant time and we would definitely recommend people to attend. We look forward to attending again in the near future. Wheelchair users; the Zoo quite accessible. If you have a freewheel I would recommend to bring this along but we comfortably got around with minimal assistance in the enclosures with a manual chair with no anti-tippers out. All animals are easily viewed from all angles.

Leila Kamish

Love the variety of animals and how friendly they are.

Alec Tuara

Great place. Get close to the animal and can feed them

Kira Abbott

The grandkids had a great time with all the animals.

Frank Keays

Nice little Zoo

Hiral Shroff

The kids loved it, and the snake handling was great

Steph Maree

Great place for kids and families

Michael Dromgool

Used to be a great place unfortunately falling into disrepair a little. Still helpful and friendly staff.

Michael Bulbrook

Beautiful gardens, a great day out where time stands still. Kids and adults alike.

James Px ranger

Great place for a hands-on encounter with kangaroos, deer, sheep, emus, llamas, and a variety of birds. Lovely staff who don't hover but are available if you need assistance. Far better experience than you'll get at most over wild life parks.

Susan Gilbert

Jennifer Beet

Nice to pets with lots of animals, my children have a happy time.

john Milton

Dont know never been there

Rhys O'Connor

We had a nice afternoon at Red's zoo, I am told the place is much cleaner and organised than it used to be. But, and yes there is a but, the cages are very close together ergo there is not much air circulation ergo it stinks! And we went in winter! The animals looked a little understimuated which would be sad for young children I believe. Very small enclosures does not help. Having said this the zoo has been improved a lot, we had a lot of fun (including my ASD son) and as we know those animals cannot go anywhere so maybe a healthy stream of visitors will help improve the place even more. The animals part of the petting areas (kangaroos, emus, llamas...) were very docile and chillax which was great for young children, we loved petting and feeding them. There is constant q and a with close up with an animal at the entrance to the zoo which means you won't miss an arranged time slot for a close and personal with some of them. Toilets were clean, supplied with soap and towels. No food on premises per say (ice cream and free coffee and tea with ticket purchase which you'll never find at Perth zoo????).

Paul Dwyer

I honestly think this place is better than Perth zoo absolutely loved every minute xxx

Nudge's Mate

Peel zoo is fantastic a very beautiful place the staff are very friendly an always happy to chat with ya

Michael Stewart

Not really happy 75 enclosures and may be saw 20 .would not call this a zoo more a farm

Josh Fenelon

Awful place, overpriced and dirty, came away feeling sorry for the animals imprisoned there ????

Dana

Thankfully I educated myself by reading comments and replies from the owner/website admin. The zoo is small, there's not a whole lot to see. However, seeing the staff enjoy the animals, and work hard to make it as pleasurable for them as possible is awesome. Is the price a bit high for what you get? Yeah, but as already explained by the admin/owner of the zoo, they are privately funded, and don't get government monies like Perth or the others. So instead, if we visit the zoo, and support it, they will be able to bring in or add stuff as time goes on, or volunteer to help. I think for a small community it would help a lot. Just my opinion, it's a great place to take a little one, yes deet heavy spray and you'll be alright.

Great for little kids

Lyanchik1

Great for kids not a big day out

Kristin Saunders

It's a great place to take the kids for educational purposes. They have the ability to get up and close to Australian wildlife.

Valerie Barry

Been a few times. Recently had my daughter's birthday party here. Well worth the 50 minute drive. Awesome day

Veronica Still

untidy. A lot of the pens need maintenance. $46 for 2 adults to expensive for what's offered.

gary crowther

This is a good day out

Nigel Brooker

Great place for everyone, helpful friendly staff and plenty for the little ones to get excited about. We went on a little bit of a wet day so I suggest not wearing nice shoes if you want to walk through to feed and pet animals as it gets very muddy. I feel like there should be somewhat of a path through the petting/feeding areas for disabled and pram use and you definitely get bogged in that muddy area but otherwise a perfect outing. :)

Andrew GEBBETIS

Costly for the size of the zoo

Raewyn Turei

Very depressing experience. The enclosures need some greenery in them. Bottle brush bushes or other species of greenery that is not toxic to birds or animals. Also some colorful paint around the place would also lift the spirit of the place. Not sure what is wrong with one of the Tasmanian Devils, but it seemed to be having trouble with its back legs. The experience was very disappointing and nothing like what is shown on the website. I do realise that there would be a lot of expense involved in running a zoo, however I'm sure if the word was put out to the public for some specie of greenery or some tins of paint that there would be a large response. Even a quiz night to help with funds. I'm from Armadale, but would certainly try and help out in some way, even requests for donations.

PETER J Greenwood

This placed is overpriced for what it is, lower your prices, or use the money you make to curb the obvious fly issue you have, making the visit very disappointing. Aussies ripping off Aussies, not nice.

MrCLAASS

Came to meet a koala and wasnt disappointed, paid for koala experience and was very happy to spend time in the enclosure stroking him and taking plenty of photos. The keeper was very engaging and knowledgeable. It is a small place, not comparable to a large zoo but good to see some interesting creatures. And hand feed kangaroo.

Dani Smith

Had a lovely day at this zoo. My kids had fun touching the kangaroos and seeing all the animals and birds. Would definitely visit again. Highly recommend this place.

Bev Johnson

Lots for kids to look at

Sarah Price

We enjoyed this great little zoo. The variety of animals is amazing, the hands on experiences so much fun. Kids and adults all had a ball. We will be back ????

Andreas Henze

We got to cuddle and feed kangaroos ,walabies, deer ,goats, sheep, alpacas, emu and parrots. Very hands on and all super friendly. Everything was well maintained and easy to find. We will be bak again. Thank u for a kid friendly day out for our family.

Brenton Foale

Nice place for small kids. Lots of animal patting opportunities.

Oates Engineering

Great place to take your grandchildren!! Mine loved it so much they didn't want to go home! Animals all seemed very content..and we could even pat the kangaroos and others.

Kelz !

Nice zoo in Pinjarra with some beautiful animals. Price is a little over priced for what you see and a few of cages were empty. The dead baby chickens in cages with their eyes poked out and body torn apart was unpleasant. Especially given a lot of young children come through and will see that.

Philip Harris

Alicia Wyatt

Loved every second of it

Pamela Foxon

Excellent now it's been taken over and updated

PT Lim

Not sure if some of the enclosures were empty or were just unable to find the animal, but was very disappointed on the amount we saw for the price we paid. Also the price advertised on the website is not what I was charged, paid an extra $10.00. Would not go back in a hurry.
