Right now this firm receives a score of 4.6 stars over 5 and the rating was based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, it reaches an reviews average is virtually the best one, and it's based on a high number of reviews, so we may be pretty sure that the assessment is quite accurate. If people have bothered to value when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to place feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Zoo corresponds to the category of Tourist attraction.
The Sky Tram is definitely not even close to as scary as I thought it would be. Very smooth, beautiful ride.
Beautiful views and incredible service! The food is great and the hike is unforgettable. A truly family friendly event and best of all, you can bring Fido!
Breathtaking views, even when it's cloudy. Great hike from the Skytram terminal to Whistlers Summit. Ample parking and the staff were friendly and informative.
Beautiful! Love that you can walk right on to the mountain...
Well the sky tram is a very smooth ride now that the capacity is half because of covid, however once things are normal the gondola will be overloaded with more passengers turning the ride into a sardine can,but don't let that discourage you from enjoying the amazing views and the opportunity to conquer Whistlers peak! Caution is necessary once you decide to embark on this adventure, wear suitable clothes and footwear! Bring snacks and water, also a good camera to take picture of all the Canadian Rocky Mountains that surround the area with a very perfect view of Jasper and surrounding Lakes, make sure you stop at the restaurant for a coffee and enjoy a beautiful view.
Skytram has some great staff that know what their doing. Friendly and affordable experience, if you are not afraid of heights. Superb hike atop the popular Whistlers mountain
Such an easy way to get to the alpine for spectacular views of Jasper. Their operating hours are great, not much thing to do in autumn and this is a goto place.
Amazing experience. Had been to so many gondolas but this was one was something special. There are some breathtaking views from the Whistler’s summit which needs a short hike of 2.8 kms. Definitely worth it for the price. I would recommend going for early morning or during sunset for even better views.
Absolutely amazing experience. All staff were very friendly. The ride up was very smooth and breath taking. Unlimited time to roam around up the mountain. It's an incredible experience to be above the clouds.
Really recommend using the Skytram. The views at the top are breathtaking and there are optional walks to the faux summit and true summit. Signage is good and there is a restaurant at the top where the cable car stops. This cable car is cheaper than the one at Sunshine Meadows in Banff. It's a short 10 minute drive from the centre of Jasper.
This was a dad and daughter trip up the mountain and we absolutely loved it! Because of the time of year, we were the only ones in the tram with Devin (our guide) who gave us some great info about the surrounding areas on the ride up. We couldn't peak because of incorrect shoes but spent a good hour+ on the trails. The clouds moved in by the time we were heading back and it was awesome seeing the trams disappearing into the them from the top.
We had a fantastic time at the Jasper SkyTram! The views are astonishing and I love the amount of history this small day trip can pump out. The staff were all personable, knowledgeable, and looked like they enjoyed working there. On the ride up to the top of the mountain, our guide pointed out the several peaks, lakes, and other areas of interest with ease and enthusiasm. The gift shop at the top of the mountain is probably the most reasonably priced in Jasper (although you have to pay for a lift ticket, of course). We didn't have an opportunity to dine here but the views were all we needed. Lastly, I'd like to commend our guide on our way down, Tayah, for being so kind and easy to talk to! If you haven't yet, take the ten(ish) minute drive from downtown and enjoy this excursion!
You get to see Jasper's splendid view from the top of The Whistlers Mountain.it's worth the hike and ride going down skytram.
The employee charged my 13 year old sister for an adult pass after being told several times that she was not an adult (and standing right next to me). The workers that accompany you on the way up are really nice though, and the views are awesome.
Great day out. Walked up to the station from Jasper. It took about 1 1/2 hours. Stunning views along the way with the river & surrounding area.
Good excursions to view all of Jasper from up top. Note: always book in advance to secure your spot.
Very friendly and informative staff. The view was surreal, and the hike to the summit was easily the best activity I have done in the Canadian Rockies
The Jasper SkyTram was overall a good experience. The restaurant at the top is nice and the views are wonderful. The execution however can use a little help. We ordered our tickets online and the charge was posted to my Visa however they had no account of our tickets and we had to pay again. They are going to reverse the charges if they did actually get paid by Visa so I'm looking forward to that. That issue aside (things happen) they pack the trams TIGHT, it's only a 7 min ride but expect to be packed in going up and down. That said once you reach the top there isn't too much to do. During the cooler months its likely hard to climb to the summit and you would need snowshoes. During the summer you can walk around a lot more but expect a small gift shop and a small restaurant at the top. Now the views are great but in my opinion it's not quite woth $50 however the view is great and there are washroom facilities at the top and bottom.
The ride up to the Whistlers Peaks was beautiful! You can see the town of Jasper and along with all the other beautiful mountains and lakes. It can be pretty scary if you are not so fond of heights. I also suggest you wear hiking shoes if you really want to get to the top of the mountain since it can be very steep. It’s equally as hard to go up as it is to go down. Nevertheless, it was a great experience!
Spectacular panoramic view at the top of Whistlers summit! A short hike from the top station to the summit. CAD 52 per person for the tram. Well worth the money, view is far better than banff gondola.
So fun to go up there and walk to those summit. Prepare for cold and gut wind. August is 4 degree with a bit of wind.
Steep hike up but worth the views on the mountains at the top. There were warnings not to go but it wasn't that bad of a hike regardless.
Amazing staff amazing view and a very good place for photographers to get inspiration
Great and enjoyable ride up the mountain. We met people also from Ontario, from Wasaga area on the way down. Had a guide telling us the history and area. We really enjoyed it. My brother's family from Toronto really loved it.
Due to poor weather, I requested to cancel my booking and the lady (Celina) could have explained me the cancellation policy in a professional way. I was treated in a way that made me feel like I should never visit skytram again. I visit skytram frequently and many times , they cancelled my booking due to poor weather in a very short time. I understand if she couldn’t do it or didn’t want to do it but the rude behaviour is not acceptable to me. Sometimes, one person make whole organization look poor. However; rest of the crew members were too friendly and polite.
The price was a little high. But the ride was great! they have wonderful employs. The view on the top is great
Been here in Canada for 9 years and I can't believe I just got on top of Jasper Tramway this Year, (pandemic era)! Bought a few souvenirs and walk halfway of the Peak. Place is amazing, fantastic!
Well worth the time and money, our tickets included breakfast in the restaurant on top and better than an absolutely clear day, we got to see clear skies, thunderstorms, amazing cloud motions and a rainbow. We did not take the hike to the top but I will definitely do that on the next trip up. Get your reservation online to save time and don't forget to sign up for breakfast. One note, they run a scheduled service but weather can have a huge impact. We came down off the mountain and as we stepped off the tram, the service was suspended due to high winds. Not sure how long the delay was but I guess that points to the fact that you should definitely plan enough time for your adventure
Was a great experience for me and my girlfriend. Would recommend wearing took as wind was tough on top of mountain
Breathtaking views and knowledgeable staff! I am very impressed with my experience here. However be warned that if you are not used to high altitudes, like me, the climb up can be rather exhausting but is certainly doable. (Take precautions if you have asthma, as this will aggravate symptoms). Bring lots of water, snacks and I'd definitely recommend sunscreen (high altitude = more UV to cause sunburns). Hats and sunglasses are a must and you'll need shoes with decent traction and somewhat flat bottoms. Many people I saw had children, just make sure to keep them close to you because there is wildlife and apparently they can be aggressive (we saw a Vermin but didn't approach anyone and minded it's own business). There are cell towers by the tram at the top and at the peaks reception is great. Highly recommended!
Great way to see a very tall peak in only a couple min ascent. It’s a little pricey, but doable and worth it. Views from the top are stunning, despite us being thee during wildfire season. You can look over the town of Jasper, the Athabasca River Valley, and plenty of other peaks. Don’t hesitate to make the hike to the actual peak! Amazing.
You feel like you're on top of the world. I was only up here for about 30 minutes, but you can hike pretty far, and spend hours up here. Tram leaves every 9 minutes. Dress warm, it's usually several degrees colder up here
Beautiful views and excellent staff!!
Nice easy way up.the mountain. Get there before 10 for the early bird rate. Do yourself a favor and make the effort to summit the mountain if it's a clear day. Well worth it.
Great way to spend half a day in Jasper. The sky tram takes you to within 400 meters from the top of Whistler's Peak. The final summit walk taking about 45minutes. The walk is steep in places and should only be attempted with sensible footwear.
Lots of fun for the whole family. Dress warm if you plan to hike to the summit. The staff here are very friendly and helpful!
Four stars for the view. (We were lucky and it was a clear day)
In comparison to the Banff Gondola this is far more rugged. If you're looking for a more forested and cozier look and feel, the Banff ride is best. If a open, desolate alpine feel and look is what you are looking for, Jasper Tram is the one. Banff facility is newer, cleaner, all 4 man lifts apposed to Jasper's very dated and "very" 30 person sardine cans. The upper station in a little on the dumpy side as well. Once at the top, if you are an alpine trekker or someone who likes a brisk walk, there is a treeless rugged walk to the top of the world.
If you're claustrophobic this isn't for you. With covid restrictions they herd you into the tram like farm animals and then separate you with plexiglass dividers. You get to ride in your own stall all the way to the top like real sheep. Thanks, Jason Kenny. #openforsummer
It’s a great experience to take the tram up the mountain. But be careful the trail are very stiff demanding, hard to do, change of weather suddenly from down to top, and from the top to the whistler summit. So wear warm clothes for winter time. Lot of winds and its cold. But its worth the walk the view is breathtaking.
The best ever SkyTram we experienced. Plan your day considering an hour hike up there. Advisable to book your return trip up there in advance to avoid waiting when you are ready to ride back.
Absolutely breathtaking. The staff was very friendly
Exceptional staff, great views of Jasper and the surroundings, nice trail at the top, excellent coffee.
Amazing views and really nice hike at the top. There's even a Starbucks at the tip. Keep in mind it can get cold up there.
The jasper skytram was the highlight of our trip. It provides unmatched views and experience for lazy hikers such as myself. Plus they are pet friendly and accomodated my cat without any questions. There are a few negative reviews about the logistics of booking the return flight. I can see how that would be the case because we also missed our return time slot. We went on a less busy day so we were able to get on the next one, in about 10 mins. I can see that on busy days you might have to wait for longer. It's expected since everyone is lining up to return too. Also yes, the trams were very packed with no distancing. They do this to move more people around. If you picked a less busy day you would have less people on each tram! Edit - our guide told us it would take 35mins up and 30 mins down. It took us about 2h05 to return from the hike and missed our return time set for 2h. We are particularly slow hikers.
As many others have mentioned, the tram ride is not really the attraction. Once you're on top of the mountain is where there enjoyment is. And how often do you get to have a cup of coffee above 2200m elevation!
It was an ok experience ???? The place was crowded, the skytram itself was small and couldn’t fit everyone. I’d suggest it should group family by family. But the hike was good ???? My first time climbing a mountain ????
This is a must do..if your ever in Jasper, do not miss the opportunity to take a trip up with your family and go for a hike up the mountain trails.. unfortunately for us, my husband did not wanna bring our 1 & 2 yr old up the mountain hike once up top as we have hyper little fellers.. it can be dangerous high more suitable for kids 5 yrs and up. Bring a jacket, maybe some light gloves, hat even in the summer as the peaks can get a bit chilly up so high. The view from the Top overlooking the little town of Jasper was amazing!
Really awesome experience. You can book your ticket online. Lovely view upthere. Bring your jacket's it was windy and cold.
Best way to get views of Jasper and the surrounding mountains. Quick 8 minute ride but worth the money. If you plan to do the summit hike, I recommend microspikes if you want to make it to the top. Amazing views!
What a great experience. Make sure you book early. Close to the town of jasper. The views at the top are amazing. Make sure you are well dressed even in the summer. Staff are friendly
Amazing experience! After the tram, we hiked for about 2hrs going up at the peak.
What an amazing experience! I've been to Jasper many times but I've never seen it like this before (from above!). Amazing views and you can hike further up if you want to. There is a gift shop and cafe at the top to enjoy. I loved seeing all the hotspots from this perspective and got to reminisce about my other Jasper adventures.
Fantastic! Had trouble with Tiques sending me tickets for the wrong day. Was able to fix the issue at Sky Tram and joy was restored to the world :) Staff is amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. 10/10 would recommend.
One of a unique experience of a SKY TRAM not a Gondola. Must visit. Good Hike at the upper Station.
Amazing time up there. Somewhat basic in it's experience, you will be carried to the top to engage in a nice rocky mud/snow hike. Bring a jacket obviously :)
Nice place and a magnificent view. It's very close to Jasper town so should be a definite stop if you visit Jasper.
I went in the off season. End of Nov. Beginning of Dec. I could only go to the base of the Sky Tram without riding up. The view was still spectacular. Sky Tram opens in March and runs through October.
One of the best attractions of Jasper. Doesn't matter what time of the year, this SkyTram will never cease to astonish you. It will take you to the Whistler mountain top for a grand view of the Jasper National Park and a birds eye view of the Jasper town. If you manage to reach the top after sunset then you'll be welcomed by the famous dark sky of Jasper. The number if stars visible is absolutely stunning. You can spend hours looking at the dazzling night sky.
We had initially purchased tickets online but when we showed up, we were told that due to the high winds, they weren’t operating and we had the option of waiting or rescheduling. We chose to reschedule and were able to return the next day. Jasper Sky Tram was super easy to deal with when we arrived 2 hours before our scheduled flight as well. They got us on the next available flight, which was in about 15 minutes.
Amazing scenery! Fun and friendly staff. Great experience. Recommend to anyone visitng Alberta!
Great views the summit trail can get a bit sketchy/ dangerous. Book more then 2.5h if you plan to hike to the top!
This place has some beautiful views and a cute little Starbucks Cafe at the top! There's a small hike that brings you further up the peak and it's so worth it! ???????? going there early in the morning is probably the best time since you're able to see the sun come up. Would recommend coming coming visit here, you won't be disappointed!
I and my family came to visit Jasper SkyTram at 9 :30 am. But we was kicked out, because all tickets were sold out. So many people was in same situation, who came and couldn't buy tickets, even online. I recommend to buy tickets online in advance.
Short ride to the top. Just make sure to wear warmer clothes/hat/gloves and good shoes if you want to hike more to the top.
Some of my favourite views and experiences we found here. After working here for 8 months I will forever remember the people I met, staff and customers and the views I saw. Getting up the mountain first thing in the morning the the early risers is definitely worth the views and the tranquilly the mountains give. The dark sky events were also amazing with views of the town, milkyway and northern lights.
The hike to the summit is not too far, but is quite an experience. The views are amazing. The elk meatloaf at the restaurant was delicious, and Diego the dog is quite a friendly greeter!
I find it little expensive but this is how things are! The fresh air, the view, the walking ????♀️ around is just life time experiences. Pictures taken on September 2017.
Just beautiful. It is definitely worth the price. Amazing views! This is something everyone should do.
Fast and easy way to get to high up to see scenic view of Jasper and surrounding mountains. Hiking further to Whistlers summit to see 360 degree view of the area - well worth the hike.
Pretty cool experience, the hike up to the summit is all loose rock though. Summit views is pretty great. Tram is fun to ride as well. Nice little bistro at the top of the tram too.
Need to buy tickets at least 24 hrs in advance. Similar view at botton of tram. Save 54$ each
Breathtaking views! A must when you visit Jasper
The easiest ways to access some spectacular views of Jasper. You can see the townsite, two of the major campgrounds, Pyramid Lake, JPL and the nearby lakes, both Athabasca and Miette rivers, and many mountain ranges. The cost is high, but if it's within your budget I highly recommend going. Give yourself a few hours if you want to hike up from the upper tea house. And make sure to grab some food while you're up there. Bring warm clothes!
Seriously! I got to say that an experience like this you will never ever regret in a 100 decade's "although we dont live that long" it just down right one of the best experiences ever! go check out jasper and it's super #skytram today its, even a better with loveones????????❤
My experience from here isn't just as turist but also as worker. I totally love this place. The view is fabulous. Everyday is different, colors, cloud,... Must go place
Must-do activity in Jasper. Hiking after the tram ride optional, but highly recommended. Make sure to dress appropriately as the weather can change quickly.
The gondola is a good experience, and the surrounding views of Jasper and the mountains around from the top of the skytram is wonderful. And when you get up to the summit, after a moderately challenging 45 min hike, the view is spectacular, especially of the mountain ranges all around.
This sky tram took us to the highest point in jasper national park. It was a little scary, especially for people don't like high place. But when you get to the top, you will never regret it. Grom the top, we can see the entire jasper national park, or play or walk on the glacier. Highly recommended
52$ per person, it's about 8 minutes to the top and then a 1k hike to the summit of whistler mountain!
Awesome view, try & make it to the top or beyond. Best thing ever ????
Nice views but COLD wind!!!!
Perfect for you and the family. Always wear warm clothes when you go ive been a couple times now. Still haven't learned to dress warm Lol next time I'll be more prepared
Pretty cool view of the Jasper area, only hiked to the False Summit but was still awesome with great views. Was 6 degress at the top and that was pretty comfortable because the sun was shining. Would recommend buying tickets way in advance so you can pick your time you want to go, morning would be better as we went late in the afternoon around 4 o'clock and the last tram comes down at 7 so that was lots of time to hike. But there was lots of people up there so a huge bottleneck trying to get back down. Waited probably 30 minutes to get in a tram, then down 8 minutes back to base.
Nice view from top, you can see all lakes and Valleys, river.... lovely!
Nice!beautiful! excellent view! amazing ????
A fun way to spend a few hours. Took the sky tram up then hiked to the summit. Was a cooler day already, but once you get up that hike it is COLD and WINDY. Started snowing for us (sept 1 2018) and our phones died while taking pics at the summit. A quick steep hike that probably could be done by anyone (just take your time). It did get a little slippery on the way down. We saw a marmot as well :)
The view up here was beautiful. We couldn’t hike as much as I wanted to since my dads knee had an injury and some parts were steep. Defiantly would come back and go further.
Great view from there, remember to bring a thicker coat since there’s snow even in July! Getting back down there’s a bit of a queue but not too bad, 25min aprox.
Definitely worth it! The view is breathtaking ???? a bit pricey though! I wish it could have been a bit cheaper, especially travellers who are on a tight budget. $50 is a lot to put out.
Spectacular views. The "Seven minutes to heaven with Devin" trip up is equally informative and entertaining. You have Starbucks at the very top of the mountain if you absolutely and definitely HAVE to have a $12 cookie & coffee combo. There is even a rotund chipmunk there to entertain you. DO buy tickets in advance because they run out quickly - forget about just walking up and buying them at the station. They do require printed tickets, but will print them for you if you bought them on mobile phone and can't print them yourself - the system will only email you receipt, not tickets, and the link to "Print/view tickets" does not work on mobile phone. You need to reserve in advance your trip down or you'll be waiting until they have space available. If you miss the last tram down, they will eventually get you but it will run you $200+ As a side comment, $54 pp to go up a mountain is too much, around $30 would be much more reasonable. Parking is free.
You need to try it! It's so cool when you're at the top and can see all the mountains!
One of my favourite experiences in Jasper! The staff were friendly, the mountains well maintained and the sights amazing! The hikes up to the top are hard, but worth it. I recommend it to all.
Mountain top experience without the hike. Recommended all visitors to Jasper do it once. Gondola staff are enthusiastic. Dining options at lower location are limited and cafe staff are pretty indifferent. Also recommend prebooking tickets online on long weekends.
Scary for a first timer but my gosh what an experience. Beautiful view all the way up to the top and on the top. Fog came when we were on the top and it felt as if The Night King was coming ???? Definitely recommend ???? You can explore around but must always pay attention to weather, avalanche, etc.
It was a great experience, if you can attempt to do the hike it’s worth doing. But I would suggest giving yourself as much time as possible if you’re not used to high altitude and incline. We opted to have our down time nearly 3 hours later and I’m glad we did cause we did take longer than 45 minutes to go up. Also stopped half way up the hike to have a snack and lots of time to take pictures when arrived at the summit. Coming down isn’t nearly as bad though, but still requires being careful not to slide down the rocks.
An amazing view of the Rocky Mountains and Jasper. The only bad thing about this tramway is that there's a long wait time, especially at the top. I waited for an hour to go down. And this is during a pandemic!
Amazing view, adrenaline rush experience. It is worth every single penny. No need to be scared, it is just like a big cabine going up and you are not alone (which helps with the anxiety). It can take up to 25 people apparently. From the top you can decide to hike the top of the mountain. Please bring warm close it is colder up there
Fantastic but scary experience if your afraid of heights like me. Beautiful view.
If you can only stop in one place to view and photograph, this is the place. Dress warm and enjoy. I could have stayed there all day.
Service was fast, guides were super informative! We went up on a cloudy day and unfortunately didn't get the greatest view but obviously that's something that the venue cannot control. You absolutely need to take the SkyTram if you're visiting Jasper!
Paid a pretty penny to shave off a lot of the hike up to Whistlers peak ????
So worth the price and experience! The panorama view at the top is amazing. I would recommend booking online before hand and either getting the free breakfast or dinner w your ticket. The burrito was amazing! There is a hike up top if you are interested-easy hike but very steep incline!
Must visit once, great views from the top of the mountain. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
The trail was hard due to over 20 cm snowfall a week ago. Snow was over knees in some areas. Most people gave up. My daughter and I made it to both summits. Breathtaking views. Worth it.
Excellent service and an essential way to get amazing views from the top of the Whistlers Mountains. The employees there were amazing and their covid precautions were great. I'd say if you buy a ticket for the SkyTram definitely do the summit hike, there's a few sketchy sections and even in June a bit of snow to wade through but the views are unbelievable. I hope you get a nice cloudless day to see all of the valleys and mountains around you, plan your trip around the weather if you can.
I did not buy my tickets online as I figured I would either go up on a clear day or skip this. Well got lucky and had a fairly nice day. We got there a little before opening and we're able to get tickets going up at about 11am...it was September so they opened at 10. Process is fairly straight forward. Ticket has a large number printed on it and you just wait for them to call it before you head to the staging area. While you wait there is a very small gift shop and a coffee shop with limited seating. Keep in mind that there really isn't much sheltered seating area anywhere on the bottom. This tram is considerably larger than the Banff Gondola and you will be squeezed into it with maybe 20 people including a Jasper worker who will give a short talk on the way up which lasts about 7 minutes. Once you get to the top there are a few observation areas but you really get better views as you leave their property and head up on the trail to the summit. So that trail to the summit. I've read useless comments that the trail from the tram to summit is "easy" even from sites like alltrail. It might be and the vast majority can make it to the summit if you are in fairly good condition and allow for a good chunk of time. Be AWARE- it is at a short but fairly steep trail at elevation. The elevation gain is about 200m from the tramway and the trail is only about 1.4 km long if memory serves. It's on the exposed top of a mountain so you will want layers, water/wind proof jacket, shoes with good grip, sunscreen and trekking poles if you've got bad knees like me. I went almost to the point where the trail evens out towards the top of the trail but gave up as I was not confident of coming back down (I had only brought one of my poles due to the "easy" comments). It had been raining the previous day and that morning so it was slippery enough that I didn't want to experience a fall and possibly ruin the rest of my trip. For those of you who need poles for steeper sections of trail or for footing to aid a weak knees bring them both, if I had I would have been comfortable going on. There are also switchback alternate routes between sections of the trail, these add some distance but are much easier. Take them when you can. Finally we had lunch in the dinning area. The food was decent and not too outrageous in price. Plus the view is hard to beat.
For anyone unsure about gondolas the skytram is far in few the going up and coming down were very smooth ???? but the only thing that was not as smooth was $57.33 charge per adult. For a lift that serves as a gate way to recreational fun that lies in Jaspers vast Is mountainous wilderness I feel that the overall experience I had was only worth 32.00 to 45 bucks at a flat rate, don't even get me started on the price change between morning and afternoon. If you to ask me if it was worth it I would say defiantly but but be ready to pay through your teeth for a truly stunning experience.
Breathtaking 360 views from the top of the Skytram, this experience is a must!
Make sure to book in advance online. And try to be there as early as possible to enjoy the full hike. One of those things that you have to experience for yourself. Seeing pictures of others is great but see it with you own eyes.
Beautiful place but really crowded, lines are longer and waiting time almost doubles than supposed to. Doesn't offer one-way ticket on the way up so you have to purchase almost 50CAN$ ticket even you want to hike back. Really unfriendly staff at the SkyTram ticket office :-(
Always a pleasant experience. So nice to be "on top of the world" and look down on the miniature buildings and lakes below. Our day was quite overcast the best view is when it's bright and sunny.
Wow why did I wait this long for a trip on the tram. Beautiful views friendly informative staff. I personally think nicer than Banff.
It is an awesome experience riding the SkyTram. Within 10 minutes, you are on Whistler mountain. The best part of being on top is for those who want to hike. Add another hour and you are on top of a taller mountain and you dont have anything else obstructing your views. On a clear night, you will see mount robson, tallest mountain in Canadian rockies.
Came here at the end of August. Very windy on top of the mountain. The view is magnificent and stunning.
During the Public Health Emergency that the Government of Alberta has placed, starting Sept 16th, the team at Jasper SkyTram were able to accommodate us and relocate tickets to ensure everyone's safety (staff and public). Our trip went from early morning to mid afternoon, and we still enjoyed our visit overall. Our toddler made our visit shorter than expected, as others attempted to climb to the summit (45 min one way). Plan for at least 1.5 hrs to enjoy the beautiful scenery, take photos, and enjoy the restaurant upstairs (away from the wind).
What a great experience! There was a lot of smoke and the visibility was mediocre, but the climb itself was awesome. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendship, specially Nemo (Owen). I strongly recommend it.
Scenery is outstanding, hike to the summit, and if you get cold stop into the Summit Cafe for a hot bowl of delicious elk stew to warm your belly.
Excellent experience, take the sky tram, hike to the summit and crack a beer!
Amazing views, totally worth the ride. Was able to hike to Whistler Mountain after taking the SkyTram. There's still a bit of snow up there, but it's doable with the right gear (snow boots or crampons).
Funny thing, we got trapped in a windy/snowy situation that keeps us extra 4 hours up the Whistlers mountain, as the Sky Tram had to be shut down for safety reasons. Would I go back? ABSOLUTELY! The views up there are fantastic and the staff team absolutely great!. They made sure to keep everyone toasty, fed and entertained. At no time there was anxious feelings, because they remained calm and giving updates. Even when windy in the tram, we did not feel like rocking as you feel in other gondolas. We have to go back to try to summit the mountain, as we had to turn around when the wind picked up.
Amazing experience. A little pricy but I would say worth it. After the tram up you can check out the gift shop or a dinner on top of their cafe. The real treat is the paths taking you to the top of the mountain. Do it. Just do it. The views are amazing.
The tram ride was pretty cool, being on top of the mountain was cool too. It was a little pricey, and if it wasn't so smoky, it would have been worth the price. I might wait until next year and try again.
An amazing place to visit. I was scared at the beginning of the ride, and later on the trip up got interesting then I enjoyed the view and it overcome my fear. It’s a trip you will not regret.
Quick to get up (7min ride) with great views of Jasper along the way. Try to go on a day when it is not cloudy, so that you can do the walk to the summit and really take in the views. Expensive.
The Jasper SkyTram was overall an amazing experience. The views are wonderful to watch. Once you reach at the top, you feel like you are at heaven as there is all snow all around. We had great fun strolling in the snow at the top - with the warm heat of the sun & snow showers & fog - all together in every fraction of time we spent.❤️
The people who work at the Whistler's take pride in what they do and have a great energy to explain everything and it's visible they love it. We had a great time on top the mountain but be sure to have speed snow shoes if you want to get to the top when there is snow, for safety reasons.
A bit pricey but when you get up there you suddently don't mind the price at all! When you get up before 10am you are above the clouds!
Amazing experience. I would recommend to take the dinner+ presentation + telescopic tour if you are not interested in hiking. It would be really cool.
Cool thing to do of you have never been to the top of a mountain before.
A fantastic way to see the surrounding Jasper area! The boardwalk and immediately surrounding area provides great views if you don't feel like venturing further. If you have a little more energy, climbing the first peak adds more to the experience, but be aware it is a fairly steep climb. The staff running the trams were very friendly and professional. I really appreciated the masking requirements in the shared public areas. ????
a beautiful place to visit while in jasper. The hike to the summit is not too far only 45 min from the sky tram. I advise you to wear proper shoes(boots with ice grippers). Coming down is very slippery
During our 2 day visit to Jasper this was the high light. The tram is an antique from the past and the door way to the spectacular views, of the Jasper area. Thanksgiving is late in the season but dress for the weather and take your time. Take the tram up , allow a couple hours to hike to the top and take in the natural splendor of the area.
By far best activity in Jasper. Just bundle up it's cold up there! We went August 25, 2020.
This is tram is the fastest way up the mountain. The views were spectacular from the tram and at the station. Upon hitting the trails you realize you have climbed in altitude. The eagle eye views of the valleys below and the snow covered mountain peaks in the distance is what made the it more enjoyable for a coastal beach traveler like me to enjoy.
We went up for the night star session and it was amazing! They do a great job setting up different exhibits with experienced staff that do a great job of explaining the different constellations and stars. We even got to see a glimpse of the northern lights! Well worth the time and money!
Highly recommend. Second time here and it never disappoints. Best place to see all the snowy peaks in the area. Great hike to the summit.
Wonderful skies, mountain views and town site of Jasper. Nice history about the skytram and the surrounding mountains by the cable car operator. Even got to see a marmot while doing the trail.
Amazing views!... Lovely gift shops at both the top and bottom of the skytram. There is a hike you can do at the top but bring a sweater -its cold up there! Only thing I would do different is maybe have a staff member outside when you get to the top to guide you around a bit. Maybe even a guided hike up the mountain as its somewhat unclear where exactly you can go. Also, the cost of admission as well as at the cafe at the top of the gondola were quite pricey!!
Everyone must come the Jasper skytram, especially the sunset run! It was my first mountain top sunset experience, that was sooooo awesr!
Only ten minutes away from Jasper, super nice staff, and of course amazing views on top. Once you're at the upper station you can take a 1.5 km hike to the summit.
Cool experience. To get the most of it , you need to hike to the peak which doesn't take that long after you get off the Skytram. Worth it for the extra views.
An amazing experience, the views were phenomenal, saw Marmot's, Pika's, Ptarmigan's, and even a Mountain Goat. The staff were amazing and very helpful and a fantastic retail store at the bottom and top.
An awesome experience. Friendly staff and a gorgeous setting. There is a trail at the top to the summit of the mountain.
If it's a clear day you should definitely take the Skytram up. The view is amazing, you can see the town of Jasper, so many lakes and rivers, as well as countless mountains. If you are able to hike to the summit you should definitely do it!
Jasper Skytram is worth the visit and the money. From the top, you can hike to Whistler summit and the views are amazing. Dress for the occasion because it is snowy up there. About of foot of snow when I went in early October. Try to pick a clear day and you’ll get a great view. Also there is a restaurant at the top of the tram where you can have a drink and relax after the hike. Hike is about an hour up and 30mins to get down. Abit challenging but more than doable for just about anyone. Must do while in Jasper.
Worthwhile a visit with your family. Prefer charisma of Swiss mountains more; but still interesting. Make sure to choose a day with clear sight.
The climb to the summit is challenging, but definitely worth it (the walk back down is much easier). Views from the tram are beautiful.
An absolute “must do” just make sure you check their webcam before you go but certainly worth the money !
The trip to the top in the tram is worth to pay for what they are charging.. the views from the top are breathtaking.. the hike to the top of the mountain is tiring but full of adventures..
Completely worth it! View of Jasper town and surrounding mountains are amazing
The hike up to the peak was hard, but the view was spectacular. I would love to make the journey again!
Waiting time is alot. Make sure you do booking online and than come. Hike is beautiful. Can see all the city. Hike gear should be with you. Cold at the top. Windy.
I would highly recommend this, unbelievable views and you can hike all over it. Just incredible.
Absolutely love this!!!! Was one of the smallest gondolas I have been on and they still fit you in but theres a plastic separator on the gondola. So its actually nice. We also got a window because theres less people on the gondola. ???? The hike up to Whislers Summit was totally worth it. It was the highlight of our trip to Jasper.
fun time not too buy when up there in may at that time the retaurant was closed coffee shop on the main floor was open and they had partitons in cars.
We book the early bird via online a week before and we went there as early as possible. When we are in the wailing list to claim our tickets. They said the we need to wait until 11am because they re scheduled our ride and we didn’t even know it. I ask why they didn’t email us. They don’t have any idea. And said we can refund our tickets. OMG were from calgary and ride all the way to jasper just to refund our ride.??? That the F’’’ the ending is we wait until 11am.
I've been up to the top of Whistlers via the Jasper SkyTram many times over the past 30+ years. The last time was in late September 2020, and I appreciate the efforts made to take care of their passengers during COVID. On a clear day, the view from atop Whistlers is amazing, seeing Robson's peak shine in the sun and see all that is going on in Jasper and the surrounding area down below. The little restaurant at the tram terminal is a good place to grab a bit with a great view, and hiking to both the false and real summits is highly recommended!
Great value for money and incredible views. Book in advance not to avoid disappointment... People were being turned away due to capacity. The climb to Whistlers Peak at the top is about a 45 minute hike up steep terrain (bring hiking footwear or good grips) views at the viewing point is incredible and obviously get better the higher you go. Loved every every moment of our visit ????
Incredible 360° views from the top! Photos don't do it justice. Well worth the effort to hike from the skytram to the summit. Take your time, but definitely give it a try. The trail is well used making snow at the top a bit compact and slick. Bring micro spikes and hiking shoes/boots in the fall for the best experience. We even had hiking poles for the walk down. Also dress in layers. It can get pretty windy and chilly - you are on a 2,463 meter tall mountain afterall. My only feedback is that they could develop the top lodge a bit more with pole and spike rentals, more indoor seating, and healthier snack options.
Well worth it, on all accounts. There is even a nice hike from the upper terminal to the very top. Stunning views await you at each corner. Try to go on a weekday or sometime when it isn't crowded. Our wait to go up was only about 30mins.
Forget all the problems of the world at this summit, concentrate only on this moment and enjoy the cold air, wind, scenery and rapid movements of the clouds…..
Not cheap but worth the experience. Our tram "driver" was really funny and knowledgeable about the area. They were very organized and we felt safe the whole time. We also hiked to the peak of Whistlers Mountain once we got to the top, which was tough (partially since it started snowing heavily) but it's really neat to see how the weather can change rapidly and randomly in minutes.
A blast! More wild comparing to Banff Gondola. This is the one you will pick if you have to choose only one, if you want a good hike. The route is rated as difficult in many parts but they are short. It offers fantastic view. It feels so strange standing above other mountain top. Love it! Be prepared with tools to walk on snow which you can rent in the local sports shop.
Great attraction, worth every penny :D The guide are nice, you just need to come as soon as possible to buy tickets and don't spend 2 hours waiting down in the cafe :D even there you can have a nice talk with locals about the place or your journey through Canada...depends on you :)
Hiked the whole way up but took the tram down. Was challenging but rewarding. Not a beginner hike but you can take the tram up if you want. It was very cold past the 3/4 mark and windy, so I recommend bringing pants or a good jacket and toque.
2000m elevation difference from the bottom of the tram to the top off. Windy, mostly all up hill so had to take my time, and from buying your ticket to getting on the tram up is an 1 hour wait. We brought the tickets there and the next time slot given to us was one hour later. At the top the weather was, a bit cloudy, windy and cool. You can see Jasper on one side and the other side mountains with snow on it. The tram operator said it takes 45 minutes to walk up to the summit but it was more like an hour because of the wet trail and the thinner air up there.
It's worth the trip. Don't forget to wear in layers, getting cold up in the mountain.
It was a fun experience and there is a little hike at the top, but I probably wouldn't do it again. There are great views of the town at the top which was beautiful. Its not the first thing I would recommend to do in Jasper.
Fantastic views of the whole area from the top of the sky tram. Worth arriving early - we just jumped onto the next trip, but by the time we came down there were lots of people waiting for their timed slots. Good walks at the top to the summit, but remember it'll be a fair bit cooler up even if it's warm down on the ground.
On Aug. 10 morning, we arrived more than 20 minutes early as recommended, got our printed ticket, then after standing around for 20 minutes, finally found out we were getting bumped to a later flight because people on the flight before ours missed theirs and got to take our spots, plus the ticket counter overbooked our flight. Why would you prioritize people who arrived late at the sake of those who came early? In the end, we stood waiting (with two young kids) for 45 min to board. The kids were grumpy by the time we got on and didn't enjoy it. Also, why have online bookings then people still have to wait in line to get a printed ticket? Why not scan bar codes on people's phones like everywhere else? Seems inefficient and poorly organized, and the staff were flustered dealing with all these issues. We had a far better experience at the Banff Gondola a few days later, plus you don't have to share the gondola with other people there and boarding is super fast.
If you are into nature and great views and some small wildlife this is a must to see. My thoughts try to pick a day that is not raining or foggy , the trails would be wet are very slippery and views would not be good. We had a great day on the mountain.
So beautiful and we'll organized. I'm have some orthopedic issues and use canes. Staff went out of their way to help me. Views were breathtaking.
Although this company implemented a mandatory masking policy while inside the tram, there was absolutely no social distancing inside the trams. People were sandwiched beside each other as if there was no pandemic. Staff were nice but it didn’t seem like the company took Covid guidelines very seriously. Would not recommend if you were unvaccinated for sure. Couldn’t even see the view during the tram ride with all the people inside the tram. The tram ride was stable enough, and is the only way you can get up there.
My mother gifted my bf and I with a voucher from GetYourGuide, it costed $114 for the two of us and let me tell you this is definitely an experience you will not forget. I would rate Jasper SkyTram 6 stars if I could. We got into our cart not even 10 minutes after arriving. Our guide was also super friendly and outgoing which made us super comfortable. The ride is 7 minutes up with a great view and once at the top it’s breathtaking !! Pictures do not do justice. There is an option to do a hike further up, we tried but didn’t have proper attire for the snow. Definitely do the hike if you can!! Overall an experience to remember and worth every penny.
Still charging full price for half the experience... the province has no more restrictions yet the managers here think they know more then the top doctor and continue to force us to wear useless face diapers and continue with useless restrictions. This would be fine if there was a discount for the troubles yet they seem to be charging more.. Drove to jasper especially for the sky tram.. waste of a trip.
Awesome hiking ????♂️????♀️. Great friendly atmosphere and and a breathing View. Thank you Alberta Jasper. ????
Was a marvelous time on vacation..got stuck ok top of mountain due to thunder storm was amazing and the staff very nice and accommodating and the view spectacular
Amazing experience! The views were fabulous and the staff were super sweet and cordial. Kids loved it! The hike to the summit is amazing too. Although may get challenging if toddlers are involved. Warm clothing highly recommended. Saw many folks hiking to the summit in slippers and crocs. Please value your safety and your child's safety and wear proper footwear.
Amazing view at the top. There is hiking trails if you want to reach the mountain peak .
I cannot recommend this attraction enough. Jasper SkyTram is simply amazing, and awe inspiring. The views from atop the mountain are insane, the staff are always incredibly helpful and friendly, and the service is impeccable. I would highly recommend anyone passing through jasper to check it out. It’s a beautiful experience, especially during the sunrise or sunset when the sun begins to peak through the mountains, illuminating the beautiful Jasper valley below. The sights are incredible. Even if you only do it once, you should make going on the Jasper SkyTram something you must do!
Pretty decent experience. But even with half capacity, the tram was pretty full. There was 11 of us in the tram and apparently 26 is the normal capacity.
Fantastic views, challenging hike to the summit, but we'll worth it.
Went on October 19-2019. Skytram parking lot is about 12 minutes from Jasper centre. Only 7 minutes to the top. $103 for my wife and I (with toddler). Not many people there upon arrival around 4:15pm. We figured once we got to the top there'd be more to do. The gift shop was shut down, and a few people just hanging out in the waiting area to head down. They were preparing the restaurant for the Dark Sky Festival event that night, so it was also closed. Heard that the clouds had not been co-operating and not many stars were visible after sunset. Great views from the top of the mountain. Bring extra layers of clothes as it is 5-7 degrees C colder on the mountain than in town. There's a little hike to the summit. It's icy, so wear decent gripped shoes. I believe it's less than 20 minutes to the summit. It was very windy so we didn't end up doing the summit hike. Staff were very friendly and are more than happy to answer any questions or take pictures for you. Enjoy!
Friendly staff and great views. There's a small cafe at the top. It's nothing compares to the restaurant at the top of Banff Gondola though. You can make a steep climb to the summit of Whistlers Peak. If you're lucky you can see Mount Robson.
Very overpriced voor what you get up top. The view is great, but thats it.
Their management should be more specific on their website that due to covid, they only accept online bookings!!! Travellers drive to the place without knowing that they could not buy tickets and ride the tram on the same day which is the most annoying part. Also, the tram is packed with so many people so there's no way to maintain social distancing.
Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. COVID precautions were taken and safety for all was ensured. Price for view and activities was good.
Good outing place.... wonderful majestic views of the snow covered mountains, lakes and Jasper town
The view was fantastic, ride up the mountain through the clouds were exhilarating.
Had a great skytram guide, goes by the name Sara. Double doubles, made some promises of clear skies which may not have come true however the turkey club sandwich was told to be next level. ????
It was an amazing experience. I needed this, thanks auntie for taking me with you. I love my province AB.
Student employee are entertaining and accurate information sharing. New exploring view from the top. Same as watching from airplane.chipmunks are friendly playing around,???? ???? not allowed ???? But tickets fare contributes to jasper heritage.
Get to feel like a mountain climber without actually climbing a mountain. There's a short hike at the peak of the mountain. Recommend to bundle up and get proper boots if you want to go farther than where the tram takes you
7 minutes in heaven with devan was by far the best part of the event. The views from the top are incredible, no where else like it.
Such a wonderful experience. My parents had gone up the Skytram last year and walked down and took the 9 or so kilometer trail as my mom was too afraid of heights, but they enjoyed it! I went to visit them last week and they took me there on a mini vacation. I went up and down both on the Skytram and it's definitely something worth doing. The sites you see are completely breathtaking and when you get to the top you can take in many more views and shop or go to the restaurant. All the staff is super friendly and the guide going up the Skytram (didn't catch his name) was really funny, informative and was good at keeping the ride up the mountain as calm as possible!! Would definitely go back in a heartbeat!
Well worth the trip but make sure you do NOT buy your ticket through the BUY TICKET link on Google. It is a 3rd party provider and your ticket can't be used for 48 hrs. But it won't say that on the link till after you purchase. The sectioning in the gondola is super weird and awkward but being on the top is absolutely out of this world. 10/10 would do again especially only having to pay one time next time ????????????
Best view of Jasper and surroundings from above, very smooth ride up and down, good trails at the top that offer amazing sights
Staff was awesome and the views are unbeatable!
Was worth the expense for the experience and a couple of beers. Good time. Willing to do it again at night to see stars. 7800 ft at the top.
Short wait and enjoyable ride. The staff were great to chat with and the mountain walking was fun. * They give you a discount for your AMA membership.
Definitely worth it for the hike from the gondola. Bring warm clothes.
One of the nicest places to visit in Jasper. We booked an early lift and breakfast combo and the breakfast is free. The service at the top was a little slow and it took awhile to get the order in but it was chilly outside and we didn't mind waiting for our food. We had coffee and tea while waiting. The top is wonderful as you can go on a hike up further and the views are amazing. There was a little snow left but with all the travellers a path was quite clear. Definitely worth it.
Beautiful views worth the cost for a visit at least once. Been up a few times. Nice hike at the top to the top of the mountain is optional.
Amazing time and amazing staff! The first trip up we met Toni on the sky tram and she was very knowledgeable and amazing. Interacted with everyone and was amazing. We went back and she got to witness me proposing to my fiancé. And it was amazing. All the staff are amazing there will be back.
Absolutely beautiful scenery and friendly staff. We spent an hour up top which was the perfect amount of time to get pictures, leisurely enjoy the sights and then grab a bite to eat before heading back down. The cafe left something to be desired with the quality of the food for the very exorbitant prices, but the view while eating is spectacular. I did find a hair in my drink 3/4 if the way in, which almost knocked this rating down, but I think one mistake doesn't necessarily indicate the normal quality this place brings. Would definitely return and try the hike to the summit next time!
The sky tram has good service for the tourists. They provide the weather state at the ticket station. If you visit here when the winter. Don’t forget sun glasses , sun protector, sun lotion & hat.
Great experience and wonderful views of Jasper and the surrounding mountains. If you climb to the “summit” (about 45 minutes up and 25 back to base), you’ll be rewarded with even more impressive views.
Beautiful views of the mountains my daughter was abit scared but she liked it not really good for someone who is afraid of heights, I do find it abit pricey too but good experience nice to do once in awhile
The trip is definitely worth it, but pricy. Adult tickets are over $50 each. Staff is friendly and helpful. Equipment looked well maintained. Time up to the top station is about 7 minutes and the ride is very smooth. Bring proper footwear if you intend to go higher. Simple slippers won't do. We encountered passages with deep snow in May. The view from the peak is great. Can be done with small kids, but the ascent is quite steep and taxing.
I want to thank the good person who found my phone and returned it. Also a thank you to Selina at the skytram office for contacting me so I could get it back. Been up the tram several times and hiked it,very enjoyable.
Definite must do when you come to Jasper. Call ahead to check on the times, we went by what google said one day and they were already closed. The staff there is welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and give you a quick commentary about the area as you go up and down the tram. The train itself is small, but they told me that it can carry up to 20 people during busy times. When we went up there were only 8 people and we got an amazing view. The weather changed from clear and sunny to light snow and then clouds and back to clear in the hour that we were there. It was still breath taking beautiful.
Amazing experience!!! So worth the money. The view from up top looks unearthly. Feels like you can touch the clouds. Stay safe as it is quite dangerous if you go off the boardwalk area. The day we went it was a chilly day about 18 degrees so at the top it was 2 degrees and very chilly. I recommend atleast a windbreaker
The view on the top is magnificent. The weather on the top of the mountain is colder than the base. There were very few people in this season. You can do a small trail. Make sure you are properly geared for the weather now with fluffy snow and slippery ice
This was an amazing experience. The ride was great. They have the original carts from 50 years ago that still run perfectly. I like that they have someone riding with you that tells you about the scenery as you ride.
The Skytram closes at 5pm but they won't sell you the $55 tickets at 4:45pm. They should put that on the sign at the base so you don't drive all the way up for nothing. Hopefully they can hire more staff soon so they can expand their operating hours. I'm sure it's a beautiful view though, the area is stunning. It would be awesome though if there were other viewpoints to sightsee from aside from a veranda by the women's washroom.
This is a must-do destination for all tourists in Jasper. If you're in good shape make sure you save enough time to climb to the summit. The hike is worth it, the view is amazing.
A must everytime I'm in Jasper. It's impossible to get tired of the views. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the area
Awesome. We’ll worth the $. Hike was beautiful
Don’t miss out when you are in Jasper! We could not ride it because of heat wave in July of 2021- they closed it for 3 days
It is one of the best activities in Jasper. The views are awesome. On the trip up and down the operator was informative and humorous. Take proper footwear for the walk up top. It's not a place for runners without socks especially if you see that there's snow up there.
Amazing experience if you are visiting the Jasper area. Great scenery when you get to the top. All the staff are great and friendly, from the ticket booth, to the lift guide, all the way to the staff at the top of the mountain. Very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions or concerns you may have. Do not forget to grab a drink from Starbucks once you get to the top of course.
Worth visiting, didn’t need to book ahead as it was mid week. Use your AMA card for a discount on tickets. Quick tram ride up in case you are bringing a little one like we did.
Best ever experience!!! Not to be missed
If you are worried about COVID this is not for you. They pack up to 20 (if not more) people in the small lift. Once you are at the top the view is amazing.
Great quick short hike to the summit would highly recommend proper footwear/clothing & water for a more enjoyable experience and possibly packing a snack for the top. Views are spectacular for very little effort. Skytram system could have better implementation you have to buy tickets in advance but then stand in line upon arrival for them to print it, would be easier if they just scanned from your phone.
Absolutely beautiful and the people you go up with are amazing!!!
We were fortunate to have clear blue skies when we journeyed to the top of Whistler's. The views defy hyperbole. A wonderfully uplifting and humbling experience. We will definitely return. Thank you.
Staff are wonderful and knowledgeable. The views are incredible.
Experienced the dinner & stargazing event....3 course dinner followed by video/pictures with Peter then onto the boardwalk to see galaxies, constellations & millions of stars through high powered telescopes! A great night!!
