Reviews of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge (Zoo)

VISIT DECEMBER 2021: Updating my existing review to add my most recent stay last week! I decided to do an end-of-year solo trip up to the Jasper Park Lodge to work-away-from-home and relax a little bit. I booked myself a beautiful Junior Suite cabin in the Estate's section of the property. I stayed in the estates earlier this year on a couples trip, so wanted to stay in that area again. The Suite/cabin was amazing, spacious, clean, and had that "lodge" feeling to it. Quick walk to the main lodge building. I was able to enjoy the surrounding area quite a bit. Also, I had tons of fun at the Emerald lounge and restaurant. Hats off to the staff!!! Top notch, making me feel like an important and valuable guest, and a big special thank you and compliment goes out to Nick, Tessa, and PK for making the trip just a bit more fun and special, you're all awesome! While I spent quite a bit of time in the Emerald lounge (enjoying the awesome cocktail list), I also dined at Orso (the Italian restaurant) on my final night. The food and service was AMAZING! I can't wait for another visit, and I hope my next is in the summer! Highly recommend the Fairmont JPL! :) VISIT JANUARY 2021: Currently having an amazing stay at the Fairmont in Jasper! We drove in from Calgary (an amazing drive, even in winter) with plenty of sights to see on the way. We were surprised at how large this Fairmont property is! It's truly amazing! We got an amazing room right on the lake with a beautiful view. Very comfortable with everything you need. Due to current pandemic restrictions some of the facilities and restaurants are closed, but with tasty in room dining, skating, and other activities, you won't be disappointed. We saw that you could skate on one of the lakes when we drove in, and surely enough when we asked, we were able to rent ice skates! So much fun! Especially for couples!!! Originally we were only planning on staying 2 days, but since we are enjoying ourselves so much, we ended up extending the stay! Thank you for taking care of us and the hospitality Fairmont! Looking forward to visiting again in the summer when the pandemic restrictions end! PS, the staff is purely amazing! When Paddy first greeted us at check-in, I knew this was going to be a great stay!

We stay at the Fairmont most times and the family has been their customer for years. This place really dropped the ball and the experience we had here now makes us think to change our choice of Hotels. The customer service was poor and the valley lacked courtesy. We had a major accident at the stables which we booked thinking is a part of the hotel chain. We were told it was a third party. Honestly, never been treated this way at any other Fairmont's. We cut our stay at the Jasper and have moved all our bookings to Delta in BC for the remaining 10 days.
