Here we offer you all the reviews of real people like you who bought the services and products of Point Iroquois Lighthouse (Zoo) around Iroquois Falls territory (Canada).
Right now the business receives a rating of 4.8 stars out of 5 and that score has been based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is almost the best one, and it's founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we can think that the valuation is very accurate. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to set scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Zoo corresponds to the category of Historical landmark.
Fabulous place to walk the lakeshore. Beautiful lighthouse with well taken care of grounds.
Very friendly lighthouse keepers and a nice tiny museum. Also a trail to lead you to the beach
Beautiful place to visit my kids and I enjoyed a nice walk on the beach and they were super excited to find that someone had hidden some painted rocks there. It was a pleasant surprise.
Nice historical place to visit
So beautiful, loved the walkways and beach area, too!
This is a beautiful lighthouse. The boardwalk to the beach is nice as well with amazing views.
This is a lovely lighthouse in a glorious setting. It was closed for lack of staff to serve the gift shop. Bummer
Beautiful Lighthouse, climb to the top of the lighthouse and look out over Lake Superior. Living quarters left as the last operator of the lighthouse may have left it. The caretakers are very interesting to speak with and quite knowledgeable of the working if the lighthouse and different artifacts contained in the miseum. Tip: Ask the caretaker to play his fiddle. Just a Wonderful experience.
Had great weekend and great weather for little trip
Really enjoyed the beautiful Lake Superior shoreline definitely my favorite
Great place to explore!!
This is a lighthouse that we stop at every summer and walk down to the beach for a while and see the view of the freighters going out in to Lake Gitchegumee aka Lake Superior. The largest fresh water lake in the state, country, and the world's largest freshwater lake by surface area. 350 mile long and 160 miles wide. It is larger the 12 of our states.
Really cool stop on a scenic route. Self guided light house tour with great beach access for pictures
Beautiful scenary..definitely a must do again
Great place to go for a walk on the shore! Lots of unique rocks and pretty sunsets.
Great spot to go see and the rocks there are amazing.
What a beautiful place! I learned a lot from the information boards, and loved the boardwalk to the beach. Worth going a little out of your way for!
Nicer if they'd lose the covid paranoia
Beautiful lighthouse, and amazing place to collect rocks! Small museum inside was very informitive.
Loved it,was amazing and caretakers of lighthouse very friendly and informative of history of lighthouse and area even though they were closed
Very nice staff. Small exhibit of shipwreck items from the main collection at Whitefish Point.
Beautiful grounds, lighthouse was closed when we went here BUT the beach was still open (late September) and it was gorgeous. The area is well maintained, no trash anywhere. Lighthouse is gorgeous, old, and worth a visit.
Wish it could've been open
What a beautiful place to visit! The museum was very clean well organized and informative also
Beautiful beach.
This is a beautiful property. One restroom is open, but the other buildings are not open. We were not able to climb the steps in the lighthouse.
Visited on
The lighthouse was closed, but you can still walk down to the beach.
Bery cool light house
You could not go in the lighthouse because it is in repair but the area is so cool. Walked out to lake Superior what a great view.
Cute lighthouse, beautiful view from the windy beach.
Just a gorgeous lighthouse! Wish we went when the lighthouse was open, but we enjoyed the front garden and loved the rock fence.
Amazing!!!!!
This is a very pretty and peaceful area to hang out at. It is free to visit the beach and relatively quiet compared to a lot of other areas. The lighthouse was closed, I don't know if you are ever allowed to go up inside it. But the beach …
Beautiful lighthouse definitely worth the drive. It is paved all the way to the lighthouse and there are nice walking trails / boardwalks, this is handicap accessible.
Nothing is open right now, so check before you come. Beautiful place.
Lovely lighthouse with exhibitions, with a nature walk and nice beach.
Loved it here! Beautiful!
I did not go into the lighthouse but I have several views of the lightouse and waterways. Nice, tranquil views and capable of walking on the pebbled sandy lake. You may pick rocks but highly not recommended. Skip them across the water and enjoy the cool lake waves.
Just a nice stop along the scenic byway. The lighthouse is closed but you can still tour the grounds and walk the beach along Lake Superior. We enjoyed the opportunity to get out of the car and walk in an interesting area.
Awesome place not a place to miss won't be disappointed.
The Iroquois Lighthouse area is a very nice historical place to visit. There is a nice boardwalk along the water and through the woods. You can also go up into the Iroquois Point Lighthouse as no charge, and get some very nice views. Many times when I have been there, you can also pick blueberries right near the boardwalk area. There are also restrooms there, which are maintained and clean. A great place to go in the warm weather months, have not ventured out there in the winter time.
Very well maintained and scenic area right off scenic bi-way.
Beautiful place to see. Walk along the lake shore was great Light house was closed when I was there. Would deff go back to see it again
Beautiful!
The grounds are nice and the beach is accessible. However the inside is still closed "due to Covid" even though Michigan was completely open this summer. So I was pretty disappointed that we didn't get to go in to see the museum area or the actual lighthouse itself.
Very interesting (but small) history museum and sample of what the keepers life was like. On beautiful Lake Superior shore. Paths down to the water for nice little hikes
Beautiful! A must see for all lighthouse seekers.
Had a great time here, the lighthouse was amazing... will definitely be back
Restrooms weren't open. ????
Great historic lighthouse. Beautiful area and beautiful view from the top of the lighthouse. Good possibility of seeing a freighter going by.
So pretty
What a nice, peaceful area to visit and see Lake Superior. The board walk is sturdy and gives great views. The lighthouse is a very nice structure to behold. I would love to go back when it is open and see the inside. This was a great day trip for our family.
We love visiting this lighthouse, and have been there several times.
It's a beautiful old Historical lighthouse. On Lake Superior. Plenty of rocks on the beach for rock hounds.
Beautiful area
Beautiful. Easy access and has wild blueberries to pick.
Even though it was raining a bit, and we couldnt go in the tower, the grounds were beautiful.
The lighthouse itself was very cool with a great spiral staircase and an excellent view of Lake Superior. The lightkeeper's quarters was set up super cute. There are restrooms.
Great views of the lake and nice paths around the area.
Lovely
I loved it. Wonderful place.
Beautiful. Bummer that the shop and light house are closed, still a beautiful sight. And we'll kept.
Love lighthouses
Wow this was worth the drive. We saw the sign a few miles away and thought we'd give it a shot. We both love lighthouses. Finally made it after a seemingly long drive and got out to walk around. The grounds are nice and the building is …
Unfortunately the lighthouse and museum was closed due to covid. But still worth a stop. Boardwalk to the beach. Nice area to Rockhound.
The boardwalk along the shore is easily accessible and is a quiet leisurely walk through the dunes. Beautiful setting.
Awesome, trail you can walk around although light house wasn't open yet you could still climb
A beautiful site, definitely worth a stop to walk around. Everything is closed right now due to covid, so that was too bad.
Great views and history.
Beautiful place! Sorry it's closed Indefinitely. Damn covid!
We didn't go inside the lighthouse, but loved the shoreline here! The lake was clear, you could see all the colorful rocks, and it was a beautiful day!
Beautiful! Lighthouse wasn't open due to shortage of help. Disappointing since we came from Kentucky.
You can go up into the old light house and see really nice views.
Hidden gem. It was closed when we discovered this place, but we had the beach to ourselves as we walked up and down exploring, enjoying the sunset and looking at rocks.
Beautiful!!! Well maintained, interesting
Absolutely love it!
Absolutely loved it. Very charming and well kept. We did not take the tour but enjoyed all the wonderful views nature had to offer us.
Nice. They were doing some renovations on the outside
There is no cost to visit this lighthouse museum, or even climb the steep 72 steps up to the top of the lighthouse. There is a boardwalk that will take you all around the area. There is a nice beach at the Lake Superior lighthouse. Peaceful.
Very relaxing atmosphere, great views of Lake Superior and all the freighters going by.
IF you go be aware the are not letting people up the tower. My main reason for going. The workers they don't care.
Nice even in the winter. We enjoyed our walk on the lake.
Point Iroquois is one of our favorite light houses and the boardwalk is terrific!
Nice place to visit nice place to walk around and great place to get pictures
Nice view. Lots of pretty rocks at the lake shore also.
Amazing spot on Lake Superior! Looks like it could be out of a Stephen King novel/movie.
Very fun experience! Very nice lighthouse!
Beautiful.. amazing light house. We were not able to go into it or the museum due to corona. Also an agate hunters dream
Amazingly beautiful spot. Went for the beach and the rocks. SWIMMERS BEWARE: The following is copied from the internet but my daughter and I both ended up with it at Point Iroquois Lighthouse beach. There are no signs posted. Swimmer’s itch has been detected in people swimming in the surface waters of Lake Superior in areas in Waiska Bay in Superior Township, near Bay Mills Township and in Whitefish Bay, west of Naomikong Point, Bay Mills Township, near Whitefish Township, Michigan. Swimmer’s itch, also called cercarial dermatitis.
Good little rest area to stop at as well little gift shop great view of the St Mary's River
Loved the view from the top of the lighthouse! The stairs were tricky to navigate with three small children but it was well worth it when we saw the view. The museum is interesting and the boardwalk takes you to the beautiful shore of Lake Superior.
Loved it here
Free
Boardwalk around the grounds, beach access, Superior views.
Great tour of lighthouse history
Nice spot to visit.. good view
Pretty!
Free
My favorite lighthouse in Michigan. Just look at it!
The lighthouse is stunning to look at. There is lots of information outside by the parking lot. There is a nice boardwalk along the beach and the beach itself is sandy with lots of smooth rocks.
Hope I'll get to revisit again before my time is done.
Made a trip to the casino and decided to check out the light house. Great place with a beautiful view.
Absolutely beautiful location off Lake Superior for great pictures.
Beautiful... Great place to pick up rocks as well
Beautiful nice location and the view was breathtaking
Nice place free tour. Loved the view. Easy to find
Just breath taking
Was very pretty, but you couldn't go inside.
Was absolutely lovely. Extremely clear water with a nice beach with a mix of sand and rocks. Ended up rock hunting for almost an hour. Museum is free to tour and shows off the history of the lighthouse. Great stop for about one to two hours. Note: Water can be cool so swimming may be ill advised
It is such a beautiful place, especially in the fall.
A wonderful quick stop on the way to Paradise, Michigan
First time back in a couple years. One of the first places I wanted to visit. Lovely rocky beaches and views.
Beautiful view of Canada from a pristine lake shore. The inside of the lighthouse gives you a glimpse into the past and some history about the concurring of the great lakes.
Really beautiful area. We missed business hours for the museum, but I'm sure that would have been fun too.
We had a great visit. Well worth the trip. They have a small path that runs down by the water. Well worth the time. Lighthouse views are awesome. Take the time to do the self guided tour. Enjoy your visit.
Beautiful grounds! I love that there is a boardwalk along the water here. Perfect place to take a break while driving around Whitefish Bay! The keepers were so friendly. We love looking g at the lighthouse artifacts!
Wonderful little spot, you can stop by for a few minutes or an hour and either works. The towers free to climb, though a bit cramped and hot up top. Walk out to the beach afterwards for some beautiful flowers and good view of the only passage connecting Superior to the other Great Lakes.
Pretty area.
I was fascinated with this place.ita ao serene and beautiful. Facing Lake Superior and Canadian side. Looks like a lighthouse in some movie. Picture perfect.
Fun little place -- other than mosquito hordes it was a very nice place.
Love this place, have been visiting here since forever. Shore is so beautiful. Lake Superior beauty and might.
Very nice place. Wonderful yet informative museum. Lakeshore boardwalk was very nice too. Just a lovely scenic spot to take the family, especially if you're on a budget.
Very beautiful place
Beautiful setting with museum and gift shop. Extensive boardwalks with benches. Clean restrooms and free admission to the tower. Very nice.
Price for adult entry
This lighthouse is closed, but there is clean restrooms and plenty of rocks along the shoreline for the rock hunters
Couldn't go inside, it was closed early due to the season. But the outside and beach path was great
Love the shoreline. Beautiful and peaceful area.
Beautiful stop on Whitefish Bay Bi-way
The light house and exhibits were interesting, the beach was gorgeous with a great view.
Rocky beach but a great place to watch freighters and enjoy nature.
Weekday
Love visiting historic sites especially lighthouses. Wished it was open to the public, but it was beautiful from the outside.
It was very pretty but closed. The fish flies were horrible...lol. Reminded us of our honeymoon.
What a beautiful place to visit. It's free and runs on donations from the public. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The gift shop had some awesome deals, and the place and museum of artifacts and photos was outstanding. You can climb to the top of the now non-running lighthouse for a spectacular photo opportunity. There are facilities on site that have running water, and it also features a family restroom. There's a beautiful boardwalk that goes all the way to the Lake Superior shoreline. Take the time to stop by! It's absolutely beautiful, and you won't forget it!
Beautiful area and neat lighthouse.
Easy access to the lake. The lighthouse was closed because of Covid.
We’ve been to many lighthouses in Michigan, but this is our favorite. It’s in a beautiful area and always enjoy being here.
Love this gem of a lighthouse. The grounds are amazing, and the views are incredible. The staff at the gift shop were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I was glad that we were able to get a stamp for our Lighthouse Passport book. So glad that we decided to make the trip. It did not disappoint
No
Very beautiful lighthouse with some lakeshore to hit
Beautiful views
Beautiful lighthouse. Came here to take pictures of the Auora Borealis and did not disappoint! Beautiful!
Beautiful light house ???? with great history! Lots of beautiful rocks to hunt for.
Great place to visit with the family. Nice walk to the beach too. Large parking lot that can accommodate large rv's. Fun to climb the tower.
Simply stunning veiws
Love going there everytime beautiful place!
Beautiful beach for rock hunting
No
A great lighthouse to stop and visit.
Great lighthouse. We were able to climb to the top (72 winding steps) for some great views. The museum was very interesting.
I’d love to turn this lite house into a puzzle. Beautiful…
We visited on a bus tour and the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The keeper and staff were in period outfits. They made you feel more than welcome and welcome back. I would recommend it to anyone in the area that enjoys light houses and the semi-easy climb was worth the outstanding view.
A calm and serene place to observe lake superior from.
Nice well kept grounds. It was closed when we visited. They had a nice deck walking area
Wow! An amazing lighthouse with a very nicely groomed walking path and a bunch of billboards that explain the area and functions of the lighthouse. They had boats off in the distance that seemed to be docked there all the time! The beach had a plethora of rocks that were begging to be picked!
Such a beautiful area to visit! If you ever get the chance to travel be sure to add this treasure to your list!
Another great UP lighthouse.
Unfortunate that the museum itself is closed, but I'm very happy that they kept the beach open for people to visit! :) Always very clean and has a boardwalk and benches for those less abled!
We love going once a year, not much changes that I've noticed but the grounds are beautiful and the beach is fantastic! The museum and gift shop was closed this time around but hours were posted on the door.
Great people at the lighthouse
Beautifully maintained retired lighthouse. You can get a tour and walk the tower when it's open. Also has a Very nice boardwalk along Lake Superior with amazing views.
Awesome location. Beautiful lighthouse and beach. Restroom available. Plenty of history in the area.
Nice hike, around thr lighthouse we missed getting to see the museum but the lighthouse was open and ge to explore. What a treat!
Love going to Point Iroquois Lighthouse when we're in Brimley. We enjoyed finding rocks & just being on the beach for a while.
Museum and gift shop are closed due to covid. There is a lot of restoration work going on. Bathrooms are open and clean. Veiws are perfect, love the area.
The lighthouse is closed due to Covid. However, the grounds and views are spectacular!
Great place to find Yooperlite stones
A nice lighthouse and easy to add to your lighthouse itinerary as you go along the Lake Superior coast. Interesting history and technology to see!
the view from top of lighthouse during fall colors change is breathtaking. there person at gift shop/museum was really friendly & had such information to share!
Bathrooms locked, drinking fountain off. The only nice thing was Lake Superior
The lighthouse was lovely, and the grounds were very well maintained. Unfortunately the little museum was closed due to Covid19, so we weren't able to see any of the items on display inside. But the nearby beach was great for rock picking - very beautiful stones, and we'll definitely be back when the pandemic is over to check out the inside of the lighthouse.
BEAUTIFUL!
This historic lighthouse is easily accessible off W. Lakeshore Drive just west of Brimley, Michigan. A lovely boardwalk takes visitors to the beach, which is mostly sandy and partly rocky. There are benches for sitting and capturing the stunning views of Lake Superior, Canada, and passing freighters. The lighthouse itself is not open at this time, but when it is open, guests can walk up the spiral staircase inside the 65-foot tower for some spectacular views. Parking is located right on-site. Be prepared for breezes sweeping in off the water!
Great other than couldn't go up in lighthouse
Very pretty location, and scenic area.
Loved it even though they were in the process of putting a new coat of paint on the buildings the little park and beach access boardwalk were open and it was a nice little walking area and the lighthouse was still cool to see. Also a lot of there plantings and flowers were still blooming.
Wasn't able to get in the lighthouse itself or facilities due to Covid, but it's a grand old building on a beautiful point of Lake Superior. Nice boardwalk along the shore.
Beautiful place
Very nice and the views are great!
Nice peaceful place to visit, The lighthouse is closed due to COVID-19.
Informational pamphlets are worth the read for those who enjoy learning or playing trivia! For those able, the climb up the lighthouse is well worth it!
Wonderful lighthouse. Great place to vistit.
We found a few "Yooper Rock's" here!
Very nice
It's a beautiful place, awesome views! Unfortunately the museum is currently closed due to the pandemic.
The "house" portion was closed when we arrived, but the Tower was open to climb & see the view (72 steps up). There was a great boardwalk to beach & info billboards along it. There was a large bathroom building @ opposite side of parking lot. Major plus when U.P. exploring.
Beautiful lighthouse! We took a quick trip over here while staying in Sault St Marie, and spent some time looking at the buildings and walking the beach. Nothing's open because of the pandemic, but there was enough to see outside, even in somewhat poor weather, that we were glad we went.
Been going since I was a kid. Now I'm taking my family!
The caretaker's were outside playing the fidde and dulcimer when we arrived. They were very kind and gave us a brief explanation of the tower, living quarters and the school that was erected nearby. We climbed the tower, and explored the beach. It was great and I highly recommend visiting it and the Dancing Crane Coffee shop down the road!
Beautiful historic lighthouse surrounded by a gorgeous view. Has a rocky and sandy beach with beautiful views.
Met the caretaker. Very nice person.
Beautiful. Love the board walks. Lots of great pictures to take and watch the freighter coming past. Amazing long walk with a picture worthy setting.
Love coming here
Currently not open because of Covid19 but you can walk around the grounds to beach.
Very nice staff .. Great place to visit . we climbed to the top of light house . lots of history ..
Beautiful views and nice beach

I was able to use my Walker to get down to the water and sand it was a beautiful place..
Awesome lighthouse. It's well-maintained and provides a great family-friendly, accessible stop to learn about the history of Whitefish Bay and the Great Lakes. The Forest Service staff that run the lighthouse are friendly and helpful. Put a few dollars in the donation box if you can. It'll help them out, and many of the features of this location are free to access. We visited on the last open weekend in mid-October, and despite wet, cold, and windy conditions, it was a beautiful spot.
Beautiful condition light house and nice walking trail by the lake
Beautiful lighthouse, easy to get to. Great beach for rock collectors.
Beautiful area, lighthouse well maintained and also the grounds. Just beautiful scenic views of the shoreline and lake.
Very nice easy access to the beach
very peaceful and beautiful. There is a very nice walk on a boardwalk along the shore of lake superior., with lots of places to rest and enjoy the beautiful views, along with the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach. Nothing beats the …
This place was off the beaten path. The lighthouse tower and the restrooms were open. The views from the top of the tower were amazing.
I didn't go into the lighthouse but we walked the beach. Beautiful rocky beach. Great for picking stones. You can see migrating birds there and the lighthouse has flowers planted around the grounds. Five stars.
Gorgeous. Great experience.
Beautiful location. Access to lighthouse is closed due to Covid.

The lighthouse was very cool! Lots of information and historical pieces. But the BEST part of this place is the beach!!! Absolutely gorgeous, and the warmest water we've found in the area. But BRING WATER SHOES! The beach and water are full of rocks. We had fun looking for "Yooperlite" rocks after dark as well. Great family place, and OPEN RESTROOMS!!!
Great views. It was raining and the lighthouse was closed so we didnt get the full effect it is a beautiful area though and will be back to do the beach combing, lighthouse and trails
Cool place to visit, unsure if it's open during covid, but we stopped to pick and search for rocks along the shoreline. Picked over, but still fun looking. We did get in last year and the tour was well worth taking, very informative and the artifacts in the lighthouse was phenomenal to see how the keepers lived when they manned the station. We were able to climb the tower and the views were definitely scenic. A must go when in the Soo area.
Reservation recommended
Beautiful Area Although we couldn't go inside (Covid) we walked around and got great photos of the landscape and the Lake.
Lighthouse was closed but walked the grounds. Beautiful area & boardwalk was a nice walk by the lake. Very well kept site.
Unfortunately, the tour inside is indefinitely closed. Would have loved to see the inside. Lighthouse grounds were beautiful and boardwalk alongside the shoreline was an added plus.
Love this Lighthouse and the stone fence.
Gorgeous scenery. Walk the Rocky beach to find pretty rocks. Take a tour of the lighthouse, then walk up the spiral staircase to the top. You'll enjoy a great view.
Beautiful spot
A lot of wonderful views as is with most lighthouses. The area has a remote feel to it which makes it peaceful.
Awesome view
Price for adult entry
The views from the 72 step ascent of the lighthouse tower were amazing. The stroll on the boardwalk taking in the views of lake Superior and the fall foliage was really good as well
What a lovely local landmark! Cold and rainy when we visited. Good size parking, historic lighthouse (closed for season), boardwalk paths/benches to the Lake Superior close by, bathrooms (closed for off season), great LS stones along the …
The lighthouse was closed but we visited the beach and it was very nice.
Beautiful landscaping & trails.... worth taking some time and walking to the lake & read the exhibits.
Beautiful lighthouse and grounds. Great view of Lake Superior.
This is one of the most beautiful lighthouses. Its free to go in so thats a plus. The beach is beatiful and many times you are alone while walking on it. This is a must see!
Beautiful place to see a lighthouse and water!
One of most beautiful lighthouses in Michigan. A must see!
All lighthouses are great.
Outstanding views and well preserved lighthouse.
Really quiet on a sunday. Given its secluded area I can't imagine it gets a lot of traffic.
Rock hounds paradise.
Beautiful lighthouse with well maintained Boardwalk to the beach area.
Amazing view of the bay! We went the last weekend it was open for the season and it was packed and we see why. Very cool to be able to climb up into the lighthouse and see everything!
Always a great visit, beautiful location, and lots of history at the museum. Highly recommend!
Beautiful, well kept lighthouse! The boardwalks down to the beach were in great shape and it was a beautiful view.
Very nice lighthouse. Undergoing some renovations to the building. The light and museum are closed due to covid/staff shortage, but wonderful hiking paths to the beach for photo ops and wading. Stay to see freighters pass between you and Canada. Visit the town of Brimley/Bay Mills, and visit the yooperlite store to speak to the infamous Erik.
This place was great to visit and learn about some history of Michigan. The climb up the lighthouse gives you a little workout, but I needed it. You won't regret going to visit this place.
Beautiful location of history
Beautiful, well kept park. Convenient walkways, greatly appreciated. Nice, colorful stones in the stream.

I always love going here. It's a pretty special place for me. My great-grandfather was the Lighthouse Keeper, and my grandfather was born here :-)
Wonderful scenery. Great way to stretch the legs on a road trip with a quick and look around. Highly recommend.
Great lighthouse. Easy access, and great rock picking. It's beautiful clear water for swimming if u have swimming shoes.
Very nice place to stop. The beach was awesome and the view from the to of the tower was great. Clean restrooms there as well.
Nice spot on Lake Superior.
Very nice lighthouse. I believe it was the very first lighthouse in Michigan. Inside find a small gift shop and a lot of history on display as you learn about this historic structure. Outdoors find a beautiful walkway and beach area with benches. Stop and enjoy the beautiful lake, wildlife, and shaded views.
Picturesque lighthouse with beach access
Its a great spot to see and walk on the boardwalk along Lake Superior. Unfortunately, the lighthouse/gift shop are closed indefinitely, so you cannot go in or up. The restrooms are open during the day.
Beautiful view and plenty of space to relax. Definitely worth the trip. Small beach for lake superior. Make sure to bring a camera!
This place is beautiful!! The grounds are gorgeous, the little museum is adorable, the view from the top is pretty, the staff is lovely. Just a wonderful, FREE, thing to do.
Gorgeous!!! Large parking lot for any size rig, nicely maintained bathrooms, and wonderful boardwalks thru woods to the beach. The lighthouse is under construction so closed currently, but the beach makes it SO worth it. I got Verizon service here, and had no issues with my dog being with me on the beach.
Such an awesome stop on the Whitefish Pointe Biway ????????
A must see when visiting the Upper Peninsula. Take a nice drive out to the lighthouse and a walk along beautiful Lake Superior. I've visited this lovely place many, many times in my life and it is one of my favorite spots to go when I'm up North.
Very cool place to visit with outstanding views and beach.
Very beautiful spot. It has the lake around 3 sides, and the view from the light tower is amazing! The public (flush) toilets are freshly cleaned every day. Flower gardens, book nook and museum.
This was a wonderful place to stop for a bathroom break when we were traveling. The kids, age 11 to 18, enjoyed it also! It's just beautiful here and the ramp down to the water is helpful for the handicap people. Thanks for taking such good care of the lighthouse and surrounding areas!
Beutiful lighthouse and residence which is closed. We walked the beach and boardwalk.
Great view. Museum was closed but would like to take a look around when they open back up.
Great place to overlook lake superior. Beautiful waters and clear skies until the gales of November.
Love the beach! Is very rocky, like it for rock hunting!
Very pretty historic site. Great views. Tours are closed for Covid.
Beautiful lighthouse, lovely landscaping, educational material inside and out.
Beautiful lighthouse to see and explore...lovely boardwalk that takes you closer to the water...
Great ligth
Beautiful grounds to enjoy.
Remarkable lighthouse great view of lake superior And Canada
Cool Old Lighthouse and grounds to explore Picture perfect Beach
Ran down to a Chippewa county refuses to fix it
Beautiful day. Closed for renovation. Nice paths and shoreline. Sadly not everything will be rescued.
Absolutely beautiful. It was not open due to Covid but worth the view.
Was closed when we visited. Nice view from the beach area. Nice gentle slope to the walkway down .
Couldn't go inside due to covid restrictions but beautiful to see none the less.
Will come back after pandemic. Nice view of lake.
Like rock hunting on the beach, Lighthouse is Awesome
Grounds and trails are beautiful. Unfortunately the lighthouse it self is not currently open to the public
The building itself was closed to visitors (unsure if that's due to COVID or being too early in the season) but the boardwalk was beautiful and the beach/shoreline, while still mostly covered in snow, was beautiful.
Beautiful, dramatic location. Well kept buildings and grounds. Nice walkway to the lake. Lighthouse keeper present. Highly recommend this site.
We weren't able to go into the museum as it didn't open for another 1/2 hour when we visited. The 1950's exhibit was OK, but it was fun to climb to the top of the light tower.
A great piece of Michigan lighthouse history.
Very nice lighthouse. Also, FYI, you can't just show up here and have an impromptu wedding - that's just not allowed.
Good but was somewhat disappointed it wasn't open. I understand things due to covid
Great nice lighthouse with a short nice trail and a nice beach. Must see if in the area or driving by.
I love this place in winter and spring, can't wait to see the other seasons!
Very nice slice of great lakes shipping history. The staff was awesome, the gentleman working was very informative and kind with my kids. The young lady working the front was super generous with my children and they were super happy because of it.
Lots of history worth a visit great views
Loved walking the beach, except the lighthouse was closed:(
I have visited this lighthouse since I was a little girl! Love this lighthouse, love the waterfront with lots of cool rocks! Great place for a rock hound.
Make time to walk to the beach via the boardwalk. Restrooms and water available.
Overall probably the best choice if you could only visit one Lighthouse Station in the UP of Michigan. Easy access off main highway. Adequate parking. Nearby clean restrooms. Very good educational & informative displays on the grounds. Two boardwalks leading from the grounds out to the rocky shoreline of Lake Superior & back around to the lakeside facade of the lighthouse station. Beautiful stately structure and classic design. Current health and safety guidelines have kept the interior displays and tour closed for the season. For photography buffs their are multiple spots for postcard images.
Was absolutely amazing. So Beautiful. The wife loved it. The grounds were kept very clean.
Wait time
Came here especially for the auroras and it was an amazing Spot.
Light house is closed for repairs and Covid worries. We were able to walk down to the waters edge and see many kids playing
Loved how they had history on the light house
Lighthouse was closed due to the pandemic but the grounds and lakefront were excellent! Great view of Canada.
Lighthouse was nice, but is indefinitely closed along with the gift shop. Beach near by was decent.
Beautiful Historical lighthouse on the shore of Lake Superior in Brimley, MI. Always make a point to stop a few times a summer and in the fall. Its a great place to check out our rocky beaches and enjoy the beauty of Lake Superior.
Nice place to pick rocks
Beach super rocky. And the couldn't go into the lighthouse
Closed due to COVID-19 Variant that's what the signs say. You can still walk around the Lighthouse and down to the Beach.
Just beautiful.
The view is breathtaking. The bathroom had no toilet paper. Nice little boardwalk that takes you right out to lake Superior.
Beautiful view! Beautiful lighthouse! Definitely worth the drive.
Reservation recommended
Beautiful lighthouse overlooking Lake Huron
Its a cool old lighthouse, worth stopping in if you're nearby
It is beautiful and the caretakers are very nice will be going back there
Beautiful!!! ????
I find it amazing the museum and light station are open to public and free. Our daughter loved climbing the stairs to the light, as well as the boardwalks out to the lake and shore. The staff member working in the museum was awesome, really nice to our daughter. Ample parking for large trucks and trailers, but there aren't a bunch of spaces for this.
A nice scenic area. The view from the the top of the lighthouse was beautiful. It's a nice little hidden gem of lighthouses.
Beautiful spot to stop and stretch your legs! When you do--PICK UP YOUR TRASH. Thank you!!!!
Beautiful stone fence around the garden, great boardwalk views and a rest room that is open 24/7. The lighthouse was closed while we were there so we were not able to go inside. Renovations were being made.
I will get to see the view from the tower at some point. It is currently closed due to Covid. Chilly day, but the views were amazing. I couldn't believe how many flowers are still blooming.
This place is beautiful. And the current park hosts do a fantastic job with upkeep.
Very well kept. Lots of shipwreck history.
Very nice. Will visit again. Clean.
Definitely worth the short drive outside of Sault Ste Marie! The lighthouse itself is awesome and you can go up into the tower. There is a museum in it and small gift area also. The beach is great and easily accessible. There are smooth …
Beautiful area. Exhibits and lighthouse were closed because of Covid. Have been there before and climbed to the top of the lighthouse! Beautiful view! Exhibits at that time were also nice and a small gift shop.
Very picturesque place. The history is interesting. The property seems to be well kept. You can climb the stairs in the tower. Nice parking lot.
I love this lighthouse. The boardwalk is easy to do and handicap accessible. You can also quite often see the freighters go by on the way to the Soo Locks.
Great view!
Great spot to sight see ships passing by and to collect colorful rocks.
Loved it beautiful spot close to home
Wonderful winter location for a visit. Sadly closed bit still plenty to see...
Beautiful. That is enough said ????
This is one of my favorite lighthouses.
My husband and I were there in 2018. We use to visit every year. But he has been fighting stage 4 Cancer since October 2016. We sat in our camping chairs with umbrellas for hours. We felt like we were on top of the world. It was so relaxing for him, he enjoyed every minute.
Very nice view and great spot to visit.
Nice beach with rocks and sandy areas. Watch the sunset and seen a few people looking for glowing rockbat night.
The lighthouse and museum were closed to the public due to Coronavirus. The only restroom that was open was a family restroom that desperately needed cleaning, but it was better than squatting in the woods.
As a member of the Lighthouses of the World and Lighthouses of the USA groups on Facebook, this place was a must see opportunity while in the area. It is about a twenty five to thirty minute drive from Sault Ste Marie. It is a very nice lighthouse, but unfortunately, it was undergoing renovations while we were there so you could not go inside. There is a nice little boardwalk that you can walk on to the beach and back but that's about it until the renovations are complete. Just as an extra note... There is a small building next to the road on the way back to Sault Ste Marie not too long after you pass the casino that has a produce for sale sign. Stop if you want some great produce! This is Amish and there are handmade baskets, produce and canned for sale that are really astounding.
Its beautiful the Scenery the lake everything the light house keeper is very friendly
Beautiful place. Closed due to covid 19
Cool lighthouse and boardwalk. You can see the ruins of an old dock and old lighthouse. Nice place to stop. Museum located inside lighthouse as well
Fun stop if your a history buff or a lighthouse lover. Great view from the top of the lighthouse which is free to climb. This is an old structure and therefore no ADA accessibility to the museum or tower view. Plenty of paved paths around the building though.
Nice visit, closed due to covid though
Beautiful light house on Lake Superior. Due to labor shortage, unable to enter. Enjoyed what we could.
Majestic light in a tranquil setting. Tour the dwelling and tower, walk the grounds, check out the boardwalk and beach. I could have stayed here all day!
Beautiful setting, nice board walk
Love the walls around it. Worth stopping.
Very Cool Place. Easy on and easy off the roadway. Quick access to Lake Superior with a decent boardwalk.
Beautiful!! Lake Superior ❤
Beautiful lighthouse definitely a must see if you love lighthouses!
Beautiful view of the entrance to St Mary's river and out into Whitefish Bay. Lighthouse grounds are clean, ample parking, and pleasant setting.
The lighthouse was closed for the season when we were there but still enjoyed the beautiful grounds and the beach.
Was closed when we went. Nice area tho.
Absolutely beautiful view of the water and the board walk is very relaxing
Pretty cool by history...too bad it is closed indefinitely.
We didn't go in, but the boardwalk was lovely, wide enough to be wheelchair accessible with plenty of benches along the way.
A beautiful gem in the eastern U.P., you can still walk up the lighthouse tower and see an amazing view. The beach is also gorgeous. Highly recommend stopping to visit in the summer. Note, the lighthouse is closed on Mondays.
The gift shop and tower are closed indefinitely; however, the grounds and beach were open, so still a good day!
It was great you could text Lee going to the lighthouse they have a 50s Museum it was really cool
Worth the trip! Beautiful, old lighthouse. Didn't get to take the tour cause we were outside of the hours, but pretty nevertheless.
I love stopping here at this historic lighthouse. There are great views of Canada, the St. Mary's river mouth, and Ships going past at times. You can visit inside the museum and learn the history of the light, and climb up to the light itself. There are restrooms at the edge of the Parking lot and you can walk down to the water, using a boardwalk. Great place! Definitely should be seen.
Beautiful lighthouse on Lake Superior, west of Brimley.
Serene and quiet.
The area around the lighthouse was nice. The lighthouse is closed indefinitely. It was still nice to stop and take a few pictures and read the educational signage.
Beautiful lighthouse with museum. Beach is quite nice, though is the water near shore is quite rocky. Very nice view. Highly recommended for lighthouse and rock hounds.
Wasn't open due to covid, but nice beach , pretty lighthouse, and veiw
Was COVID closed but beautiful place to see a sunset on Superior
Absolutely love this lighthouse!! And the best part, for me, is the wood boardwalk! I use a wheelchair and it is amazing being able to get to the beach, wind through the woods and just get to places I normally wouldn't. Thank you Michigan!!
Was closed the day we went but such a beautiful bldg and grounds.
Absolutely wonderful place to visit and it's free! I love the way it's all set up with history and pictures and even a boardwalk. Perfect!
Lovely place
Not open at this time but some nice walks to beach
Take your daughter like I did......well, .she took me <3
Lake Superior beautiful area. And we even had a family wedding here many years ago.
Beautiful spot to roam the grounds and catch a little lighthouse history. Boardwalks and benches near the shore; lovely view of the lake.
Beautiful lighthouse and scenery! Our kids had fun playing on the beach and we all enjoyed swimming in the crystal clear water. It was Heaven on Earth!
A wonderful place anytime of the year, it was great to see it amid all the beautiful fall colors. The museum and climbing the lighthouse tower is free and there is small area to play in water. There is also a small board walk to walk around the lighthouse if you are into that!
You can go up in this lighthouse. One to see, nice with a few very short walks too.
nice beach.
nice lighthouse with easy access.
Beautiful lighthouse, and a great historical marker. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and it's new variants, the U.S. department the interior has made the decision to close the lighthouse "indefinitely". Though we were told that the lighthouse will eventually reopen again some day, there are no expectations of reopening any time soon. The lighthouse itself, however, is currently under active restoration work, and the walking paths and trails there are all still open for exploring.
Lighthouse, beach, park, broadwalk--- all is available here with a touch of history. Ample parking, just a hidden place to wind down ,collect some sand on your feet while kids collect some memories on beach splashes
Beautiful place to visit!
Great view of Bay Mills. Can catch freighters going by.
Not super exciting, but it's free and they take donations. Beautiful beach area! The museum is very small.
Beautiful but lots of biting flies today!
Beautiful beach, wonderful handicap access! My mom was able to ride her scooter all the way to the sand. Found my first agate!
Views were great
Went out of season. We were able to walk around but, bathroom was closed and so was the lighthouse. To be expected out of season.
