I was expecting access to the pool and hot tub as advertised on trip advisor, and was told you have pay an additional $50 per person on top of you room rate. Ridiculous You can only access these amenities through the expensive spa. Grrrrrr

Well our stay started with arriving to our room and finding garbage(food bags and wrappers) in one of the drawers, which means obviously our room wasn't properly cleaned. The front desk staff was very quick to come clean up thankfully. We waited almost an entire hour to get our omelets at brunch on sunday. Mind you they were excellent the poor server was run off her feet because she was the only one serving. We went to the spa and the robes are beyond their life. I would be embarrassed to even lend that to someone let alone rent them!! We also ordered food while we're at the spa and it never got order so we waited half an hour before we were approached by staff at shift change and she had no idea that we had ordered something. Apparently the order hadn't even been placed. She placed and got it rushed so it was out quickly. Then...to top it all off we went to dinner for the reservation we had booked for 6:30 to find out there was that an issue with the exhaust fans in the kitchen and they were closing (which is not their fault, things happen) which apparently made no difference to us becasue the reservation we made the previous day when checking in had not been booked with the dining room. Needless to say I strongly advise you to look for another spa location!! Most certainly not woth the money!! Oh and let's not forget we had no hand soap, no bath mat, the shower curtain is full of mildew and the glasses were filthy.

Regret staying there. Should have just visited the Nordic spa and wilderness tour which were the best part or our trip. The rooms were the worst we’ve ever stayed in. Three rooms before we found one that didn’t have either broken lights, broken fireplace, worn out furniture or filthy floors. Curtain rod fell off the wall and took two days before they fixed it despite several requests. Room was never cleaned in the 5 days we were there. Housekeeping came to the room once while we were there and I got them to empty the garbages. Management needs to update key cards as they take multiple tries to work. They also need to increase staffing levels to properly clean guest rooms.

Home grown style place with plenty of rustic charm with a unique wildlife and nature experience. Friendly staff from the front desk to housekeeping more than willing to accommodate your stay. The grounds are lovely, giving a sense of a true getaway from city life. The rooms are a little bit in need of an update hence the 4 stars.

Had a very wonderful experience at the Cedar Meadow’s restaurant today. Got the snail escargot, gyoza and elk burgers! All of them were amazing. Ambience 5/5! Friendliness/efficiency of staff 5/5! Overall experience 5/5! Value for price: 5/5! Highly recommend and will definitely return!

Stayed here one night while on business in Timmins. Since I had rented out one of the meeting rooms the next day ($350+), I was expecting a better rate for my room, or perhaps an upgrade. I asked at check-in and even on the phone prior to arriving, but staff are like robots. I'm not sure if they are given the freedom to make spot decisions for certain patrons. The spa is very nice, $40 will get you access to the pools (outdoor warm and cold), the sauna and steam room. Worth it if you're looking to relax. However, if you get a room full of (usually ladies) next to you who don't seem to get out much, except for a day or two at this hotel, don't expect much relaxation or sleep due to the noise. They were in Rm 217 on April 14th, if anyone cares. Some people should simple be shipped to a farm and left there. I had dinner at the restaurant, a nice selection of menu items, drinks etc... Was craving a burger, they have a 'Stuffed Meadows Burger' on the menu which looks fantastic, and it is. Apart from the fact that it was a little burnt for my taste. I was never informed of the daily chef specials. I didn't even know there were any until I overheard another waitress mentioning them to some guests who sat down near me. Cleanliness: Found some bottle caps under the covered portion of my bed. Thankfully, that's all. It's not a bad hotel but definitely does not exceed expectations. On some levels, doesn't meet them. Disappointing.

Dated. Breakfast was brutal - food was cold, offered coffee once in 1.5hrs (sitting in the restaurant for 1.5hrs). For $300 a night it wasn't worth it. Spa was good!

There was a movie being filmed at the time we were staying there- not a problem except we were in the room across from production. They were up all night, talking, slamming doors. Extremely loud. We told front desk and nothing was done about it. Our sink in our room leaked and we had no hot water. Disappointed.

Love going here year after year! Hoping some upgrades get done in the cabins with more comfortable pull out beds. Spa services are so great. They are friendly and make you feel like top priority. The restaurant is outstanding. The dishes are unique. If you want a weekend gettaway go there. If you plan to sleep in the cabins bring an air matress.
