We went to the Alpaca Yoga at Braeridge Farm and it was BEYOND amazing! The yoga instructor led a really great class for participants of all levels, Penny (the owner of the farm) was warm and welcoming in her introduction and during yoga the alpacas walked right between our mats throughout the duration of the class. At the end of the session, we were given grain to feed the alpacas personally and were even given a small gift of dried lavender! We would HIGHLY recommend attending the alpaca yoga at Braeridge farm as a fun and relaxing start to your Saturday or Sunday. Loved!!

We absolutely loved the family tour at Brae Ridge and meeting all the alpacas and the ducks. Penny the owner is super knowledgeable and very passionate to share her love for the animals with the visitors. She also took good care of our little ones, a 2 year old and a 5 year old, who were a little shy at first but ended up having the best time feeding and bonding with these amazing alpacas. They couldn’t stop talking about them on our way home and already wanting to return to see baby alpaca in the fall! We as adults especially enjoyed hearing Penny’s story, meeting her was such an inspirational experience and we wish her all the success in this business and spreading the alpaca joy to more families in the future!

What an amazing experience with the Alpacas! Penny was so delightful and inviting. She has a beautiful farm with some very funny characters! Warm, light breeze in the air, fields as far as the eye can see, horses whining, ducks squeaking, and Alpacas (!)... Can I tell you how ABSOLUTELY fun, and relaxing this was!! From the moment we stepped on the grounds of Brae Ridge Farm & Santuary to the end of the tour, we were made to feel welcome and just like long lost friends! Penny and her family were so welcoming and knowledgable about the Alpacas and all the other animals they have on their farm. Our yogi, Angie was wonderful! Such a calming experience and it was a great way to start a beautiful sunday! I also enjoyed feeding those crazy ducks (little known fact - ducks love peas! Take some frozen peas the next time you head to your local park - high in Niacin which gives them strong bones!) and meeting Phoebe and Sequoia - their beautiful horses! I also received my first kiss from a horse! All around a wonderful experience and I would sign up again for sure!

So grateful for this experience and hope to be back one day :) If you are visiting in the winter dress warmer than the weather as you are mainly in barns/outdoors where it may be windier.

We did the alpaca yoga and let me tell you what a treat! First of all, such a beautifully and well kept little farm. We did a meet and greet with the alpacas and Penny, the farm owner informed about all the unique qualities they have, you can really see her love for them. Both her and her husband were lovely. We had an incredible yoga instructor, Karen, calm natured and led the perfect class; relaxation meets proper instructional yoga poses and fluidity and the class wasn’t intimidating being I am new to yoga. We also met the funny little running duck crew and got carrot kisses from one of the horses. So much more than just yoga class with alpacas! Highly recommend!!

What a great farm! The owner is super friendly and welcoming. And experience with alpacas is just amazing. They are such a kind, curious animals. You’ll have chance to feed them (super cute), and learn a lot about them. They also have horses there, ducks and chickens. At the workshop you can buy some alpaca wool products, as well as honey and lavender. Highly recommended for a visit!

Truly there is so much love and care put in by Penny our host and guide. The Alpaca's, horses and ducks are taken care of with so much compassion. We learned so much. We felt pure joy, our hearts were filled. It was a wonderful experience to reconnect with my family, nature and our spirits. Feeding the animals, spending time with them as well as learning about them was very special. Memories we will never forget. There is also a beautiful little shop filled with Alpaca essentials to keep you warm through the seasons. Local Honey and lavender all well! A lot of care and love is put into this beautiful place. Brae Ridge Farm was such an amazing place! The property was so well maintained, the barn was gorgeous and the acreage was breathtaking! I was super lucky we got great weather, yoga was peaceful and fun outdoors. The alpacas were the absolute best though, the one female alpaca is so friendly and gets right up close to you for pictures and scratches. The other ones are a little standoffish but still happy to take a picture with you ☺️ Overall had an amazing experience, will definitely be coming back!

Not only is the surrounds simply breathtaking but it’s the cleanest farm I have ever seen. Penny and her family quickly welcome you with kindness, knowledge and passion. Our yoga instructor was simply wonderful for any level and nothing beats looking up at that big blue sky, hint of lavender in the air ... you are in your warrior pose .... and these gentle, big eye beauties are surrounding you, you just can’t help to break out of pose for that shot! Brae Ridge Farm and Sanctuary Yesterday my son, daughter in law, 4 year old grandson, 9 year old granddaughter and I visited the alpacas, ducks and horses at the Brae Ridge Farm and Sanctuary in Puslinch, Ontario. We were welcomed by Penny who took us into the barn and told us about alpacas and their cousins the llama. From there we met the girls in their paddock. Even though they are smaller than their llama cousins, they are still bigger than the children. However, there was no fear because alpacas are very gentle, cautiously curios beings. As well, they do not have upper teeth and do not spit. They were calmly grazing as we mingled among them and Penny told us their stories and family backgrounds. They gently accepted the special alpaca pellets provided by Penny as we hand fed them. From there we went to the boys’ paddock where Birch and Walnut greeted us. They were equally gentle and appreciative of the hand fed pellets. Another highlight of our visit was the duck house and the ducks. Bonus! Our granddaughter found a duck egg. We loved watching the duck run around the paddock all in a quacking row. The kids fed them green peas from a container and also watched as they ate them from a small water filled pool. Last but not least of the animals were the two horses. Sequoia (?) was exceptionally gentle, giving kisses over the fence. To end our visit we went into the gift shop, which was also an educational experience. Bags of sheared hair that had been cleaned by Penny was waiting to be carded and spun into yarn. The kids got to card some hair, blending the natural colors together in the process. They also tested the strength of the loose hair and the twisted hair. The hand made items for sale are beautifully woven and knitted by Penny and her mother. Other alpaca and natural tens are also available. It was a pleasure to visit the farm. The animals are so well loved and cared for and the grounds are immaculate. Thank you, Penny, for this experience. Terri Morris

Our visit to Brae Ridge was beyond our expectations. Unlike going to a petting zoo where you reach through a fence to meet the animals, this is a full on experience. You learn about the alpacas while being surrounded by them. (And no, they don’t spit) Right away you not only notice how stunning and adorable they are but also how incredibly sweet and gentle they are. Yoga with alpacas is the best thing ever! This should be on everyone's to-do list! Lying down while alpacas are wandering around you and munching is both relaxing and exciting! Feeding the alpacas afterwards and being able to ask questions was a great way to end the experience. We will be back and even have our next visit booked already!

Best day ever! Doing yoga under the sun surrounded by the friendliest Alpacas and cutest ducks was the best day I have had in a long time. The farm is breathtaking, the yoga was really fantastic and feeding and hanging out with the alpacas truly was an experience that I won’t ever forget. Penny and her family truly love running this farm and it shows from the initial greeting to allowing us to hang out after the class and learn more about the farm….they are the most gracious and loveliest family. I highly recommend doing this and I’ll be booking again too.

My family had an amazing visit to Brae Ridge Farm that was beyond our expectations. We got an unbelievable experience and extremely fun moments dealing with alpacas, horses and ducks. Penny, the owner, is very kind, open and welcoming person. She told us and showed many interesting facts about alpacas and their life. The most exciting thing for kids was feeding animals from the hand, and water them. Alpacas love taking shower. Another moment was feeding the horse and get a kiss in return. Oh, that was so lovely. Penny also showed us the whole process of making threads from alpacas fur and the knitted items are so warm and feel so nice. And our kids participated in all the activities and were so happy. Thank you, thank you Penny. We will definitely come back. So many positive impressions.

My husband, son, and I had a fantastic time at Brae Ridge Farm & Sanctuary yesterday. Penny was so knowledgeable, warm, and welcoming. The alpacas are so gentle, beautiful, and interesting! We had such fun learning all about them, feeding them, and feeling their luxurious fleece. The two horses were an absolute pleasure to feed and nuzzle up to…even getting some kissing from them! Love the ducks too! We purchased several beautiful items made with alpaca fiber. Couldn’t have had a better experience! We will definitely be back!

Had an amazing time celebrating my birthday here and doing a private Alpaca farm tour. It is obvious alpacas are very well taken care of and have an amazing life. The owners were very knowledgeable and were happy to answer all of our many questions! The price is very reasonable considering how fantastic the experience was. I will definitely be returning again for another visit and will tell other people about this amazing place too!

Brae Ridge Farm & Sanctuary was so much fun! Penny was a wonderful host, she is so informative, she shared her knowledge with the horses, ducks and the alpacas. We feed the alpacas, watched the ducks eat and even seen their duck eggs. We feed the horses and got little kisses from them too. As soon as you arrive to her beautiful property you will feel so welcome, she is amazing. We all loved the private tour. Thank you Penny, we are so happy we experienced the tour. ** please don’t let rain stop you from visiting as the barn is fully covered inside and outside. You can experience the tour without getting rained on. It was so peaceful to be under the barn roof while it rained with the alpacas.

What a beautiful experience! From the moment you arrive at the farm, you are greeted by a sense of calm, kindness and joy...and it just grows from there! Our yoga instructor was wonderful - a fantastic workout that offered a great challenge (but lots of opportunity to modify to your own comfort level in a safe, encouraging space). Spending time with the alpacas was perfection - they're as sweet as they can be and we were given lots of opportunities to learn about these amazing animals (and a chance to feed and get close for a cuddle). Highly, highly recommend!

My husband and I, and our two little ones (7 and 5 year old) had an incredible experience with Penny and her beautiful animals today. I am not one to write reviews but this experience definitely warrants one. Penny is incredibly patient, kind, and personable. It is obvious she cares deeply for each and every one of the animals in her care. Right when you step on to the farm, you can tell she has a special connection with the animals. We felt so comfortable interacting with all of the animals from the alpacas to her horses with her guidance. Penny was very understanding and responsive right from the start. We had concerns as we were booking our private tour since our daughter was in a cast and she assured us we would work things out. Her knowledge of the animals was amazing. She answered all of our MANY questions with genuine interest and patience. We really appreciated the attention to details during the tour. Everything from feeding the animals to carding the wool was so nicely laid out. The experience felt natural and not rushed at all. On our ride home, my kids said "we miss Miss Penny and the animals, can we come back tomorrow?" Thank you Penny for sharing your passion and love for these animals with us!! We're all looking forward to seeing you and your animals again soon!!

Wow! My family and I had a wonderful time at Brae Ridge. We went two days ago, and I haven’t stopped talking about alpacas to anyone that’ll listen. We had some car trouble on our trip there and gave Penny a call to let her know. She was super understanding when we arrived, and as soon as we stepped into the barn and had a bit of time with the alpacas all the stress from the ride up melted away. All the animals are so well taken care of - and they get to listen to classical music too! When you meet and feed the alpacas you'll discover their unique personalities and eating habits. Some of them like to gobble up the food, and others will nuzzle the food gently from your hand. But no matter their style you don't need to worry - alpacas don't bite! If you go for a private tour you’ll learn a lot of fun alpaca facts (Penny was great at handling my our many questions too). There are also ducks and horses (including one that gives kisses!) that are also so much fun to spend time with. As they’re private tours, every experience is unique! Some of the more unique encounters I had were experiencing an alpaca sneeze, hearing Daphne let our her warning call, and petting Acacia’s neck as she sat next to me.
