It was a very good experience for sure, either with or without children. We had 2 kids and did only the viewing tour, without any riddles or anything, and had much fun. The staff was a bit weird and/or did not seem to care at all about us, which did not impede our experience that much.

We went on August 7, 2021. For some of us, it was their 1st time, for others, their 2nd time and for some others, their 4th time. Two of their paddleboard must have had weed stuck underneath the paddleboat as despite pedaling harder and stronger, those pedalboat were extremly slow and hard to manoever. Our 20 years old pedalboat at home was easier to manover and faster than theirs that only have a few years! The staff told us that they remove the weeds only once a day, by lack of time, and not between each client's use. People using the malfuncionning pedalboat were drenched. 2/5 for the maintenance of their equipment, poor signalisation and the animal words not fitting on the low dash. Too expensive for what it's worth plus they have increased the priced during Covid. Improvements to be made for sure.

Fun activity for families! We went on a friday and all the food options were closed. There was also a few spots where other people were coming from the opposite direction and the stream wasnt wide enough for 2 boats so we had to reverse! Overall fun, more suited towards families with children

Make sure you follow the online instructions and bring head lamps and flashlights...you won't find the numbers on the course otherwise. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME - GO ON THE RIDEAU CANAL INSTEAD! I booked this "Balade en pédalo" adventure in May 2021 for my birthday with my young daughter. It cost $63.24 (taxes incl.) to paddleboat 1.5 hours around a swampy labyrinth. Had we not gotten lost (we took a wrong turn), the whole experience would've been over under 1 hour. When we first arrived at the reception hut, we were given a plastic map for birds & reptiles etc to watch out for during our ride. We were told we'd be given a marker to write down our answers on the map. Once at the dock, one of the young employees who greeted us was in a very bad mood. He had no basic politeness and seemed very annoyed to have to explain things to us. Once we were on our way in the swamp, we realized no one gave us a marker. We did not see anything (ie. frogs, turtles etc.) except regular birds you would see in the city. This could be due to the time of year (mid May) & the cloudy weather that early afternoon. We did see a plastic snake that was nailed down to a piece of wood by the staff. A few days after our visit to Eco-Odyssée, I noticed on Facebook that there was a %15 discount for the month of May. This should have been automatically applied when I booked online - but was not. I sent a private message the company about this discrepancy. It took many back and forth messages for them to finally admit that their booking system is new and there are improvements to be made, and that the %15 May discount should have been automatically applied during the online reservation process. All in all, my daughter and I did have a good time - because that's how we roll. We make the best of everything! But do I recommend this place? Hard no. I think it's conceptually a cute idea, but in my humble & honest opinion, don't waste your time nor money, fellow parents. Renting a kayak or paddleboat at Dow's Lake or Mooney's Bay would be way more fun, scenic, and probably much cheaper. Hope this is helpful. Cheers.

Best i can say is its ok. Interesting concept, beautiful location and the setup is nice. It just gets really boring really quick. I actually don’t think its suitable for young kids especially if your kid has a short attention span. We had a four year old with us and he lost interest pretty quick. My older kids were ok with it but got bored fast like i did. Some people would like this but its not for me.

Beautiful place, well organized and COVID safe. I would recommend it to visit with kids. Only a couple of things, specially if you are going to do the tour with paddle boat. The activity will require certain physical demand (be ready to sweat) and the seat in the boat could be more comfortable (specially after 2 hours…) again, nice place but with room to improve details.

Delightful, fresh, amusing, safe, exercise in nature. We were concerned it could be lame or small or unchallenging...it was none of those things. Staff we ere delightful and helpful and attentive. The website could be smarter, especially on mobile devices, regarding default language selection, how YouTube videos are embedded, and reducing friction/hesitation for new users eager to register by making the generous cancellation rules (e.g. weather) and the amount of flexibility there is upon arrival regarding start times for bookings more apparent. In other words, the website does the product a disservice. So don't hesitate: try this. Everyone in the family should enjoy it!

Could have been great, but our experience was ruined by the actual paddleboats. They take an incredible effort to move at a snails peace, and couldn't hold a stable heading at any point. The things just wanted to sit in one place and spin. They have canoes, and the customer experience would likely be greatly improved by the use of them. Canoes would be more authentic too...

Very misleading website. It says in FAQs that there are hardly any bugs. It was a swamp and full of mosquitoes. I booked two paddle boats for family and one of them had spider webs with rusted flapped that was pain to move. We followed the turtle path and half the turtle signs were either missing or under water. Waste of time and money. Did half of if and returned.

We went paddling boating & boarding in the water maze and had a great time as a small group of friends! We really enjoyed the views and the surrounding wildlife. It took us just under 2 hours to go through the maze at a leisurely pace.

This place is a hidden gem and deserves a 6*. Since we were 2 adults and a 7-yr old, I reserved one Pedalo which can seat 2 adults and 2 children. We arrived at 9 am, enough time to watch a 10min compulsory video, which was well worth it, before we started our discovery expedition, scheduled at 9.30am. This, I find, is the best starting time, as you are not under the intense sun, and much less traffic on the water. Customer service was just impeccable, and not just at checkin, but everywhere we met other staff. We were provided with a guide book, a map, marker, a walkie-talkie and a life jacket. After that, it was just pure adventure going through the labyrinth, following directions and clues. The marsh comes alive with lots of snapping turtles, frogs and small fish. It was a learning expedition for the 7-yr old as for the adults for the entire journey paddling away, enjoying the beautiful and peaceful scenery, which took us just over 2 1/2 hours. We had our lunch at one of the many picnic tables available everywhere. Happy to see that washrooms were very clean. This is definitely a place not to be missed.

We went on August 7, 2021. For some of us, it was their 1st time, for others, their 2nd time and for some others, their 4th time. Two of their paddleboard must have had weed stuck underneath the paddleboat as despite pedaling harder and stronger, those pedalboat were extremly slow and hard to manoever. Our 20 years old pedalboat at home was easier to manover and faster than theirs that only have a few years! The staff told us that they remove the weeds only once a day, by lack of time, and not between each client's use. People using the malfuncionning pedalboat were drenched. 2/5 for the maintenance of their equipment, poor signalisation and the animal words not fitting on the low dash. Too expensive for what it's worth plus they have increased the priced during Covid. Improvements to be made for sure.

Great day trip! The paddle boat was a blast especially for kids aged between 5 and 10. The older kids will love the "bicycle effect" so to move forward in the water maze.

Great experience! $60 for a family of 4, spent over an hour skating around. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the layout is nice, lots of space for strollers, the music is a great touch. Not all trails were open yet so we'll be going back. And trying the paddleboats in the summer.

We had a lovely experience with an 8 and 6 year old No mosquitoes. I was amazed I saw someone post about being bored and working hard Personally, I’m not in shape so it wasn’t easy but that kind of was the point. As for being bored, we don’t have a boat so, for us, it was an adventure It was hot so bring cool beverages. Look I stand by my 5 star review My daughter added her blurb below. Look, it’s the perfect summer family activity in my opinion on a sunny day. Try it out I loved going in the paddle boat and trying to find the animals we didn’t really pass the hiking game but it was super super fun while we were at the hiking escape thing we got stuck and couldn’t find our way to each animal when time ⌛️ ran out we had to find our way out again
