Had a nice day trip here with the family and we all enjoyed the day. Walked along the beach area and found fish and crabs along with a beautiful view of the neighborhood. Wasn't overcrowded like some other parks during the freak heatwave at hit us with record temperatures. There are amazing little gardens with so many different types of plants and flowers. Parking wasn't too bad at all. Do be aware that there are topless sunbathers here too so keep an eye on the little curious ones. We will definitely come back and relax here again. I do recommend this place for a great day trip, might be nice for a sunset too...

Today I discovered a new, beautiful place of inspiration. The views are spectacular, with grass spaces, cemented in picnic tables, benches made for ocean vistas and the scent of Arbutus trees. Great family picnic area, boat watching, rock sitting to listen to the immense power of the North Pacific ocean as it rolls in against the Esquimalt shore. I felt the power as I spent time writing, seeing the coast and the seemingly endless water of the mighty Pacific Ocean ????. I knew I was home and it gave me a deep sense of peace.

Great park, got to be careful of other dogs off leash if you have a reactive dog (as i do), but the dirt tracks are fun and the view is lovely.

Beautiful gem tucked away in Esquimalt. The off leash dog area is beautiful, and a true oasis in the summer when trying to escape the heat. The majority of the trail is forested, so it stays cool. Beach access is available. Would be 5 stars if there was an additional garbage bin or two along the trails for dog bags.

Very beautiful flowers and the smell of the ocean breeze is enticing. There's also a hidden beach where wild party is going on we visit. A very nice area to have a dip in the cold water on a hot day. Dog friendly and children too will have fun learning the diverse ecosystem.

A great place to get out of your car and walk around. Lots of easy to follow trails lead you around various ocean views including a large waterfront home that has been painted the most obnoxious shade of blue. The park has a number of dog friendly beaches for dogs that like to go for a swim or chew on washed up sticks. There is a toilet building available for those that need some relief. A great place to hang out, have a picnic or watch the sunset.

Great park to sit down and eat a meal. There are multiple picnic table and parking. Additionally, it have a great view and on a hot sunny day it’s a good place to have a picnic in the grass if the tables aren’t available. Multiple trails around the park with additional views that are dog friendly.

Great place for a picnic or just a causal walk. It has a lookout area, wooded paths, mancured lawns, gardens and a few secluded beaches around the west side. It's also got a parking lot with ample space and some overflow parking further up the driveway. Dogs are welcome on leash but are not allowed in the picnic area.

Wonderful park. Saxe park is one of my favorite. Nice view on US mountains. Large area for dogs and for people. Wedding spot and picnic area. Just one thing to improve. One washroom with one toilet, it's ridiculous.

Saxe Point Park is a great place to relax in the summer. Enjoy a picnic on the lawn, or just sit back on the rocks or grass and take pictures. Oceanfront with stunning views.

Very nice place to go with family friends and dogs. There a dog area on one side and the other where the open field is not for dogs, there is a sign just around the parking lot. There is also wifi. This says it’s open 24hrs it is not police have come and kicked me out said it’s closed after 11.

This park has wooded or ocean side views. The pathways are paved or chipped wood. There are huge rocky sreas to be climbed as well. It has a washroom and one side is NOT dog friendly for picnics or small children.

Saxe Point Park is so beautiful. It is loaded with great gardens, plants, benches, ocean front and even areas for weddings. It is amazing in all types of weather. There are all kinds of coastal, islands and Juan de Fuca views. Lots of parking!

Beyond Beautiful!!! A gorgeous hidden gem of a park to picnic at with easy trails to walk & restore your faith in life. Breath taking rocky ocean views, and stunningly City of Esquimalt maintained by gardens that are both unique & creative. The first time I discovered this park I was blown away. I recently moved to the neighbourhood & it is now part of my daily routine that both restores & refreshes my soul. There is a U-shaped parking & people coming & going regularly so chances of snagging a spot is good. Also a fabulous place for taking Family, Couples, Grad or Wedding photos with that ocean view and gardens backdrop!

Great park, close to downtown Esquimalt. Amazing views of the Olympic mountains, Juan de Fuca straight where all the big boats go. Nice big Green park, multiple picnic tables, beautiful exposed rocks, and a path that leads all around the park and beyond Parking is typically busy, usually when we come we go to a restaurant and come here to enjoy the beauty that surrounds us. Come on down and check out this park when you have the opportunity.

Good parking spots that you can face the ocean without getting out of the car. A quick short trail to walk with your dog that can make into a loop. The trails aren't wheelchair accessible, but there are picnic tables with grass area that can be wheelchair accessible for a picnic lunch. This area is also windy enough to fly kites and lots of benches to enjoy the view.

This is a beautiful park in Esquimalt on VancouverIsland. It has rocky seashore, a grass area to picnic (some tables) benches with a view of Juan de Fuca Strait, flower beds, and some forested area with trails which appear to be popular with dog walkers. Adequate car parking, lowered speed limit (less than 25 km/hr) so comfortable for cyclists and pedestrians.

It's a rock beech park with beautiful ocean views. There are benches everywhere and some picnic tables. Well maintained green space and flowers beds. On a sunny day, We like to walk along the paths and sit down on one of the benchs just enjoy the breathtaking ocean view.

This is a good place to bring food and have a picnic. The picnic tables and benches are so well spaced that each group will have ample space for activities and privacy. The big trees around provide nice shade and the adjacent ocean provides a nice cool breeze. It's so relaxing.

This is one of the nicest medium sized parks in the area. The views are amazing! There is a decent sized parking lot. Excellent walking trails along the water and through the reclaimed natural forest. Lots of benches in several place to enjoy the view or relax as you walk. Several well placed picnic benches by the water and in amongst the trees. A very popular place to take wedding photos, but call the number on the sign to book your photo shoot.

This is one of my regular spots to walk to. Once there, it’s very well manicured, beautiful and calming. We normally go on week days when it’s more quiet at the park. We have a favourite bench we sit on to watch the ocean:). Weekends and evenings are usually a bit busier. I have seen some fantastic sunsets from Saxe Point Park looking out over the water.

I've always loved going to Saxe point..weather you want to sit in your car and watch the waves. Or walk along the trails and sit at the picnic tables and have a picnic. Very family friendly and perfect day or night. Always clean there with many garbage cans in sight. The bathroom is a bit of a walk but still close enough.

A great place to hike along the rocky shoreline or through the forest on chip trails. Or on a stormy day, just park and take in the view. Some pathways are paved for wheelchair access. Benches and a large grassy area for picnics and a place for kids to climb on rocks bordered with grass. A favourite place to go.

Saxe Point Park has an incredible view that peers to snow-capped mountains in the winter months. It also shows flattering views of the ocean. The scenes are truly relaxing and restorative. Occasionally performers come out to add flavour and flair to a romantic spot. Dogs enjoy walks along trails. It is a beautifully unique spot.
