A fun spot for the whole family! From shopping inside and getting lots of local produce to touring around the trail to meet the goats and rabbits and to feed the ducks and giant goldfish in the pond, there is plenty to see and do at Hennigar's! Looking for competitive fun - don't miss the Farmers' Golf up behind the market!

Great place to get Nova Scotia made items. Lots of neat things, I always stop when I’m in the valley. They also have a garden section with tons of plans from cacti to ferns to flowers etc. It’s a great place to stop for ice cream as well ! And next door they have a little walking trail and I believe a petting zoo with goats. Very fun.

Jamie Harrell

Wonderful farmers market offering fresh affordable produce. Always a treat coming thru this area and picking up something special for that evening. Not only that, but their on-site bakery makes some excellent treats! Well worth the stop.

Nick Dexter (Nickdext)

This place is usually pretty busy but always manages to not be over crowded - there’s good flow which is nice. Great selection of baked goods, my favourite, produce and others; and the garden centre was alive and well. Hennigar’s is always on the list of places when visiting the valley!

Kat Dorey

Always looking forward to their apple cider! Such a wonderful selection of plants to house hold items! Nothing bad to say about this place!

Emma Dwyer

My favourite stop in Wolfville. A large variety of quality baked goods and canned items, and a great gift selection for yourself or others. This is a paradise for someone who collects houseplants (me!). They have a wide variety of tropical plants, succulents and cacti. I haven’t found a better houseplant store in Nova Scotia yet. They also have birds like budgies. Icecream, fresh produce, apple cider, and so much more. Outdoors you can walk around their park and visit rabbits, goats and chickens. This is a great stop for the whole family and there is something for everyone.

Pauline Blois

Always a nice place to stop on the way home from the valley. They have a nice market with fruit and vegs, a large choice of icecream flavours, a nursery section and lots of odds and ends to browse for gifts, etc. They also sell masks!

Melissa Pound

Is a wonderful place to take kids. Has animals and bikes to ride and a sandbox by an old boat on the water. Beautiful store. Canteen with good fried food.

Joyce OQ

Fruits and veggies are more expensive each year. Even though it’s still our usual stop for ice cream, I might start visiting some other stores in the area.

Lisa Gimenez

Great farmers market, cute trinkets, fresh produce, free samples of apple cider & fudge. Plenty of ice cream flavours to choose from and a great area to stroll, feed the fish, goats & chickens too!

May VanderZwaag

A small greenhouse but they had a lot of house plants I liked. Love the fresh fruits and veggies, the shortbread biscuits are great with the fresh strawberries!!!

Lisa Gina Cole

Nice market, went for the "petting zoo" it wasn't much of a petting zoo more of a look at the animals in pens type of thing. Goats were friendly though. Had a good selection of homemade products, jams, muffins, scones, cookies, chutneys and more. Real draw though was the ice-cream! It was fantastic, we just got small cones, in cups, but they were really big. Cute tourist stop, but like all tourist stops you pay a little more than you would in a grocery store but I was surprised that it was an inexpensive as it was.

Nat Mcnoneofyabiz

This is one of my favorite market! Also, they make fresh fudge on site and i tried the dark chocolate/pb/caramel and it was delicious! The lettuce is also out of this world!! Huge and so fresh. I go to this market regularly - everything you need under one roof: plants, produce, gift ideas, fresh bakery, ice cream. Oh and did i say fresh fudge? ???? Great service with friendly staff as well. Thank you for reading my wall of text!! Stay safe. :)

Brian Smith

Great spot for annuals. I have a giant pumpkin (plant)!

Holly Smeltzer

Quite the spot!! A bit of everything!! Produce, bakery, novelties, plants... We really enjoyed it! Will stop each time we down that way for sure!

Always stop here when visiting the valley. Great place to feed the ducks and fish while eating icecream with the kids ????

Kelli Jackson

Great selection of produce, baked goods, homemade jams, relishes and gift items. The cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing are amazing! Lots of parking. Well worth the trip from Halifax peninsula (only an hour and 10 mins).

Jennie Kelly

Love going in and spending some time looking at all of the plants. The baked good are wonderful and staff friendly.

Ken MacKenzie

This place is always packed and there's a reason. From their produce to their baked goods, everything is super fresh. It's always one of our first stops, and our last stops when we hit the valley. Make sure to check out their ice cream selection, they have over 24 flavors ready to roll at a moment's notice.

James Logan

Friendly market has been a stopping place for ice cream since I was a kid.

D Ann D

We were very pleasantly surprised at this amazing little find as we drove by. I would highly recommend it for shorts strolls and fun little animal interactions. For young and old alike and it would be a lovely place to bring a picnic.

Richelle Gregg

32 flavours of ice cream, baked goods, fresh produce and giftware. Be sure to visit the bunnies and goats and buy some fish food to feed the carp in thw pond!! Beautiful and relaxing.

Andi Nickerson

Feeding the fish is so FUN! There are so many of them! And the fries at the cookhouse are AWESOME!!

We went for ice cream, which was an affordable standard cone. The real highlight was walking with our to the right of the building, to see the ducks in the pond, then around to see the goats and play at the playground.

Michelle Surette

I love this place! Great produce and locally made crafts and fudge. I no longer live in the province but love to visit this place when I can.

Morgan Mills

Great waffle ice cream cones. Lots of great local food. Pretty gift ware. And wonderful petting zoo and park to meander through!

Michael Gabriel

Lots to see and buy here, albeit somewhat pricey and tourist oriented. There's a lovely little trail with animals to see and pet, and a beautiful, large goldfish pond to enjoy. Closes for the winter season.

john burgess

Awesome staff, clean store, great food and awesome ice cream lol.

Nikki Kenny

Such a great selection of plants at a great price, staff is also great and friendly. Also found some amazing hot sauce that I can actually eat. I'm allergic to garlic and onion and find it so hard to find sauces and hot foods I can have. I'm so excited to get cooking!

Steve Outhouse

Great Farmers Market! Took my kids there due to nostalgia (l used to go as a kid) and was impressed to see how it's grown, and the high quality items for sale. We all enjoyed our ice cream while walking around the adjacent mini animal area with goats, bunnies, ducks, etc. Only drawback was that purchasing ice cream was cash only. Not major, but caused the usual scramble of "Where do I get cash?" The rest of the store takes credit and debit. Just come with cash if you're going for ice cream, and you'll be good.

JJ R

We visited as a Harvest Host. Mike was a wonderful host and also went out of his way to help us plan our trip. Who does that? Great guy!! We purchased a variety of items from the store. Very fresh and flavourful. They have done an amazing job at making this stop fun for everyone in the family. Well done!!

Lesleah MacDougall

Bought fresh cider among other things. All scrumptious!

Joshua Wong

Great market of fresh fruits and vegetables. The bakery smells so good each time we stop by. Clean washrooms and we love the ice cream selection! Their seasonal greenroom is a great stroll to browse through.

Stewart Meow

Great farm Market with reasonable prices

Lovely gift section and fresh produce. Garden center is nice. Summer season features a vast assortment of ice cream flavors including a dairy free option.

Cheryl Anne

I love the ice cream, they got a lot of selections and I love how they made a farm trail, very good for the kids. They also have a variety of vegetables in store, it's like a one stop shop for grocery needs.

Monsterwolfgang Wolfgang

Great local produce. Excellent selection. Reasonably priced.

Richard

Very nice staff and very good Variety of fruits and vegetables and crafts

Madalyn Higgins

They're only open seasonally but I believe Hennigars is the best Farmers market in the Wolfville area! All the markets are great but Hennigars has the best selection and also has a garden center, gifts, and ice cream ????

Underwater Dreamer

alyssa fitzmorris

Great service, fudge is well worth it! Sunflower field was gorgeous. Lots of fresh veggies in the market for great prices.

Best place to get an ice cream in the valley. Also watch for good deals in the fall on produce. Yesterday, a large bag of peppers (excellent quality) was $5.99.

Ken's Retirement at Maple Leaf Forge

My grand children love this place. Prices are high so I would never buy anything other than a ice cream cone for the grand children. They feed the animals and play in the sand box for and hour then they are ready to go home.

Hennigars has always been a wonderful spot filled with a clash of things to make it interesting from fresh produce, giftware, ice cream, specialty food products, gardening and livestock! You never know what little unique thing you may find there, but you will always find friendly faces to help you !

Rob Sutherland

Great market. Employee at the fudge counter was very great with my son and wife helping them to pick out what they wanted.

Chrissy Mariah Hill

Wanted something to do for kids to get out for the day. They had a lot of fun. You can buy ice cream cones filled with corn for the animals and fish food. Both for 50¢ each . Nice walking paths, gold fish and ducks to feed. Goats , bunnies , chickens and play area with places to sit for adults. A trike bike coarse to ride though, airplane teeter totter, boats and more. Nice picnic tables for those who want to spend the day outside . Very beautiful quiet spot . Took kids for an ice cream cone and browsed the nice shop and market. Very nice spot. Something for everyone !

Kate Watson

Hennigar's is more than a market. We always stop to feed the fish, visit the animals and have ice cream, too.

Patrick Oster

Sorry to find out today that they don't make coconut cream pie anymore. The one we had in spring was the best I've ever had.

Marcia Zwicker

A vast variety of crispy, fresh produce. Bakery has truly homemade, delicious items. Lots of plants in the greenhouse, lovely variety of gift and souvenir items. Locally made preserves, spices and jams. Everyone will surely love the incredibly priced produce, it is now a yearly stop for our family

Great place to stop for 30-60 minutes in the summer! The kids loved seeing the animals (chickens, bunnies, goats, ducks, fish, song birds) and playing in the sandbox. We didn't get any ice cream or fish n chips but it smelled delicious! Great selection of local produce and a huge plant section (indoor and out).

Robin A

We always love visiting Hennigars, especially during pickling season!

Kathryn Whitewood

I went in looking for bird pies which they didn't have (they were still developing that section) but came across some wonderful gifts and a top I couldn't live without. Their gift section has gone above and beyond this year. Check them out!

Michelle Hiltz

Great place for everything from fresh fruit and veggies to home decor and baked goods a must stop for everyone

Thiago Andrade

I wish I could go there every week. They sell everything but livestock. Their berries and apple cider are the best, but anything else you get there is worth the trip.

P C

Calgary Explorer

Open year round. Not a very talkative older lady on cash. The sweets, bread, apples came to $20. Super delicious apples. Lots of parking.flat area. Has a public bathroom.

Jason M

Always a great place to stop if it is not too busy. Great people

Lieneke den Otter

Nice spot. A small but varied selection of plants, an artisan/souvenir shop, and a home goods section make this a week rounded market. My only 'complaint' would be that the majority of the plants aren't labeled which makes it a little frustrating to have to go out to the main area to repeatedly ask what things are.

Bruce MacKinnon

This is a great little spot to stop to get fruit and vegetables plants birds birthday cards and beer

Akinniyi Osho (The Investing mindset)

Customer Friendly organic Farmer’s Market The shop is stocked with fresh produce and they have a garden Center Whether you live locally or you ate visiting the Annapolis Valley you will find the Hennigar farmer’s market a must stop by Your trip to Wolfville is not complete until you visit this local shop It’s also family friendly and their ice creams are out of this world ????

Richard Ward

Great ice cream in a cone.

Briana Fletcher

I always love a nice stop at Hennigars, been going there to see the goats and bunnies since I was a little kid. This trip involved a hike down the trail up to the field (past the bunnies and bike path, to the left). Heads up - loads of water means loads of mosquitoes!!! Don't forget that bug spray!

Bobbi Zahra

Awesome baked goods. And the best (and biggest!) Romaine lettuce I've ever had

Joshua Eaton

I've been going here since I was a small child. The number one thing to do here is stop in and get an ice cream and then go for a walk over by the pond and visit the animals. However since I've grown up and now I have two children of my own I realize that this place is actually fairly expensive. The ice cream is cheap and everything but the produce and everything else is always more expensive than anywhere else you can buy product. If you're looking for fresh vegetables there's another firm Market, well at least two more farm markets up the road towards Wolfville that are much cheaper

Patrick MacDonald

Visited on a nice hot summer day to get some ice cream, which was delicious. There was a little sitting area next to the pond to enjoy the view and eat, although the tables and benches were a bit rickety and probably should be replaced soon. Then theres a trail that goes around the pond from the sitting area with different things to do like a goat / bunny petting area, playground and a hiking trail. The kids absolutely loved it.

Alex Bromley

They have farm goods, local goods, handmade and so much more! Ice cream too! Stop in because you never know what you'll find.

Fred Sagedal

Was great but with US Dollars not allowing exchange rate and only get back Canadian currency, your actually charged 25 percent plus above the price of an item(s). Only issue.

Dick Henriksen

Still my favorite market in the valley

Andrew Smith

Was in Wolfville today for my sons hockey. Decided to check out Hennigars. Bot 2 pies and half a dozen pan rolls. Best before date was in 2 days yet there was black and green mold when I opened the rolls at home. They even smelled moldy. I Iive in Halifax so I'm not going back for a refund. I called and asked for a refund and the poor girl had to ask her supervisor. I guess they said no so she is calling the owner to see if they will give my $2.99 back. Really ? Fine. I never wrote a review in my life but I am now. Do they recycle their rolls ? Definitely won't be back.

Catherine Isnor

Delightful people, delightful yummies, and a delightful experience. Inside, check out the wide range of fresh fruits and vegetables, cider, ice cream, incredible baked goods, and gifts. There’s also a farm. While here, be sure to take in a round of Farmer’s Golf, a completely different experience. Whole family left here with smiles. Would highly, highly recommend.

T. Veinot

Great Farm Market with the added bonuses of Ice Cream, small trail and play area with animals to look at. There is also a 2.5km walking trail behind with some nice sights but is not for strollers, bikes or small children.

Wade Smith

Great assortment of fresh local products

James Trenholm

Great place buy fresh grown local vegetables , also has large craft section to look at.

David Carlson

They play area was awesome! My grandkids had a blast playing in the boat, the sand area and the bike track. They also loved feeding the fish and ducks. I tried the nature trail around the pond. The trail was nice, but challenging. They had a warning about the difficulty at the trailhead that was quite correct. We stopped at the point where the divided because there were no directions as to which way to go. The store was cool with great stuff. We bought oatmeal raisin cookies that were very good.

Marie Jodrey

I love shopping at Noggins.Very good produce and excellent meats.

Catheryn Dexter

A favorite place to stop for fresh fruit, vegetables, baked goods, pickles, jams, plants and odds & ends. Don't forget to buy some fudge or get an ice cream.

Nick Wakeham

Excellent stopping place. A great selection on valley produce and ice cream. The pond, and walking trail to the other activities on property or worth the visit. The farmers golf looks like great thing to try. What a fabulous place for the family in the heart of the Annapolis Valley, located just outside Wolfville

Mr Donovan

Lots of market options at Hennigar's. Supporter of local products and the fudge there is delishious, so very creamy. Will definately go back over the summer for ice cream. Would recommend to locals and tourists alike.

Recommendation: Bring cash if you can! Quarters for feeding the animals if possible. One of my favourite places in the Annapolis Valley. They have a fantastic variety of fresh produce, plants, and decorations for your home. Plus ice cream and fudge! One of my favourite summer activities is to go get ice cream and then walk in the back to feed the fish and goats and then go visit the chickens and bunnies! Plus they have a hiking trail and place for kids to play! Overall, just a fantastic place to spend the day. Five stars for sure!

VE6DAC

Great place for fresh food

Andrea Armstrong

Excellent selection of veggies, giftware, plants, ice cream and fudge. Love the park next door; especially the bunnies and hiking trail.

Jevens Matheson

Nice clean market . Great selection and good atmosphere.

Karen S

Hennigar's is one of our "must see" places in our apple picking trips every fall. The kids love the animals and the tricycle track and we always buy some kind of delicious treat from the market!

Darlene MacDonald

So overpriced. Hennigar's has become a tourist trap. For years, we always stopped to get ice cream cones and pick up a package of their apple cider doughnuts. The bakery must have changed their recipe as the doughnuts were not good. Old recipes are the best.

Charles Fortin

great selection - local food, giftware, and nursery. A nice spot for ice cream! The fish pond, walking paths and animals are a great to make the little (and not so little) ones happy!

Debbie Ross

Friendly staff, fresh local produce. Large variety of perennials, shrubs and trees plus many garden products

Rod Chisholm

Fab market. Great selection and fresh.

James Morrell

The place is open late at night till I think 10. The girls were very helpful and polite. Only downside is that the little fish and chip place is not open late as well.

Kathy Weir

Had most of what we were looking for got some great pickling cukes for mustard pickles. Turned out great!

mei mei Sing

A good stop for ice cream in the valley. Nice goldfish pond, you can feed the fish, goats and bunnies. Have picnic by the pond. If you want more exercise, you can also take a 2.5km hike on the nature trail.

Rob Gillum

$7.99 for local strawberries, I don't think so.

Ferne Rea

We stayed as Harvest Host RV guests on the 10th hole of their Farmers Golf course, shopped in their wonderful produce market, and watched as apples were picked in their orchards. A truly enjoyable experience! Thank you Hennigar family.

smittyleafs

A little pricier than some others down the road, but definitely a good spot to stop at as a tourist. Icecream, small walking trial, fudge, produce, gifts...it has everything.

Marcia Lee

Fantastic farm with absolutely the best produce, fudge, ice cream & more. Shop, picnic, farm golf, hike about. Gracious harvest host. Seek it out.

Always love stopping by, when I come to the Wolfville area. They have a decent selection of items. There's an area to purchase plants, one area for baked good and a third area for produce and ice cream. The only drawback is dealing with some of the older workers, they look at you like they hate you and don't really want to help, but they will. A customer cut his finger, on a metal cup, told the cashier and she looked at him like he had two heads.

Love this farm market. Fresh vegetables and fruits. Great selection. Delicious baked goods.

Good icecream" my thought is that some of the produce was over priced.

Always a stop for us when we go to the Valley but not so much for the farmers market part as it was 30 yrs ago. We love the ice cream but the cones were small and the ice cream soft, unlike years ago. This place has become more of a tourist spot.

Great place to visit. Lots of selection. Bakery and homemade fudge are delicious! Even a place for children to play and feed the fish.

A mandatory stop for ice cream whenever you are in the area. Their fresh made waffle cones are delicious and the smell is fantastic. Lots of in season fruits and vegetables as well as a nice selection of goods in their market. Also a beautiful stop if you just need to get out and stretch your legs.

Very child friendly. My granddaughters loved feeding the fish and seeing the other animals.

Best price for ice cream. Awesome produce and preserves and gifts.

Ray Wortman

Excellent ice cream but disappointing produce - many items same as regular grocery store. Gift shop attached.

Why did Hennigar’s charge my parents HST on a 10 lb bag of apples this week? And when they questioned the sales clerk about it, they were assured the apples were in fact taxable? It seems there’s a problem with their system or staff training or both!

Hennigar's Farm Market is a great Wolfville stop for the whole family. From the friendly staff, fresh local produce, and extensive gift shop to the walking trail, kids petting/play area, farm golf and apple orchards; it truly represents the best of all things from the Wolfville area. The Hennigar family are proud of their 100 yr farming history; and have a genuine interest in the agriculture/development and growth of Wolfville.

Nice place, farm market, apples to pumpkins and almost everything in between, bakery fresh goods (yum) and excellent service (employees). I will be returning.

Nice place to grab some ice cream and walk around and see animals. They also have some nice trials for walking. It's always fun to feed the goats. They also have homemade fudge that is very sweet. On the other side they have lots of indoor/outdoor decorations and a greenhouse section for plants.

Always a must stop. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. A lot of unique items in gift shop area

Great spot to go to get fresh fruits and vegetables. Also a great family outing location. We have done the hay ride and apple picking, selecting our own pumpkins from the patch and the corn maze. Great local spot.
