You will see the opinions of real people like you who buy the services of Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park (Zoo) in Dawson area (Canada).
At the moment this firm receives a score of 4.6 over 5 and that rating was based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is nearly the best one, and it's founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may say that the valuation is very accurate. If people have bothered to leave their opinion when they are happy with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to write evaluations when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Zoo belongs to the category of Park.
Great park with trails and picnic tables
Great out of the way park. They have a huge open area for picnics and smaller more secluded areas with picnic tables and a fire pit. Close to the river and lots of walking trails.
So great for the family!
The fall colours were great to see.
Go hit up the small mountain bike park for a good time
Beautiful park with plenty of picnic tables and fire pits. Can be very busy at weekends.
Very beautiful park for grown ups and kids
Great place to run, bike and enjoy river valley! ????
Have loved this park for decades, awesome trails and green spaces , best times for close family gatherings but please fix the roadway around the park and install recycling bins !!! If you drive a truck fine , a car not so much get it repaved
New playground and washroom facilities are a welcome addition to the park.
Such a beautiful area to explore! The trails go on for so long and seem to always connect to somewhere else, it’s incredible! You can get gorgeous views of the river and get really close. It’s such a peaceful area, lots of free parking available, I would definitely check it out!
One of my favorite places for a run. They have paved trails where you can watch happy pups play at the dog park and some great unpaved trails through the trees for a nice trail run.
A beautiful park, lots of trees, access to North Saskatchewan River, trails, picnic tables and nice space for playing frisby.
Quiet in fall. Nice hiking trails
Loved it
Grass where tables are have to be cut to make the picnic areas clean
Very big park, lots of picnic spots and areas to play alot of great walking trails plus view of the river. Very nice place to go with the kid or have a gathering, walk in the trails there is picnic spots along the trails and look out spots, lots of parking and a small play ground, and if you want you can go to the zoo. But it doesn't feel like your in the city. Highly recommended...
Boat launch has plenty of room. Even has a little side beach for kayaks and canoes.
So beautiful and close to home! :)
Loved it, little nice park close to the river
The waterfront has been redone and it's very lovely. New bathrooms, new playground, not very busy.
Bring extra clothes for your kids as they might want to play near the river
Great for BBQs, picnics, and walks on the river valley
Close to the river and zoo..great location and nicely spread out
Good path to walk and plenty of space for dogs to run and connects to other parks in area
A wonderful park that has been upgraded with new pic nic areas and trails. Such beautiful views of the river and valley provide great photo opportunities. A nice walk around to breathe in some trees and just enjoy the quietness.
Great park. I suggest to reserve a picnic site in advance
Great park (off leash and otherwise). Everyone you meet along the way are friendly. Lots of trails to explore. What does it not have?!!
Great place for fall pictures
The pathways and green areas are maintained and kept very clean! Great location along the river and boat launch area. Kudos for the park staff who continue to exceed expectations. Just a very special place for all members of your family providing wonderful reserved group accommodations for that special event. Also, having the many smaller picnic sites, with the "private" areas secluded and tucked in , with upright fire pits ready to go, was fabulous.
Beautiful park but unfortunately the park is always overfilled with people. Great facilities and amenities, and tons of parking if you don't mind a bit of walk. Not recommended if you want to go to a park that doesn't feel like a festival.
My dog love to came here . Thanks
What a jaw dropping in fall! Playground is more suitable for kids than toddler. Stroller friendly.
It was so nice to see all the families walking and enjoying the park today. Some even had picnic's and fire's going. It was a great day to be out.
Great place for family picnics. Two big open fields for activities, and a path that sits above the river side.
Lots of wide trails. Can get pretty busy but I always enjoy my runs there.
Awesome place. One of the best day picnic area near Edmonton.
Big park, good place for hiking, biking, playing with children
Lots of great trails, I went to the dog park and got to pet plenty of friendly dogs. The path leads to a bridge over the north sask river directly into Hawrelak Park which is handy.
Such a beautiful place to walk with the dogs
Great place for entire family or to meet friends. A lot of sites with privacy. Every site has a picnic table or 2 tables and fire pit. Also a lot of sites for big group of people.
Its a nice park
Good park for a walk, run, or bike ride along the river valley
A really pretty park to hang out and have a fire.
Been going here since I was a kid. Favorite spot in west edmonton
Beautiful park with several river valley trails. Awesome natural area. Great picnic sites with tables/firepit campstoves.
Wow the playground is amazing. Modern and natural blends well into its environment. Must see.
Very nice winter hike especially after our during snow fall.
Great bike trails and park.
I'd gic=ve this park 5 star if it weren't for the dogs in the this off-leash area. The park itself is beautiful but the few dogs that are not well behaved and not adequately trained can ruin a nice walk really quickly.
Good trails, and depending on which direction you go, you can end up by Fort Edmonton, or Hawrelak park, day camp, or fish on the river, or of you have a boat, use the boat launch and go for a boat ride on the river.
Lovely park that I hadn’t been to in awhile.
This is a really nice park. Getting there is easy. The road leading there (Bueno Vista) goes to the park through a quiet neighborhood. So there's no busy traffic leading into the park. Once inside, the site numbers (from 1 to 8) are sequential along the drive path, so that you cannot miss your way or site. There's also parking around each site. It has lots of grounds and space between each site. This is my first time here and I will certainly be back!
I really love that this park has nicely paved, shady paths as well as open, sunny fields for kids to run around in. It looks like a great spot for hosting gatherings too. The hidden gem here though is the walk along the path west /south following the river - it's so secluded here, it feels like you've gone for a weekend camping (ok, tailgate camping) while you're right in the middle of the city. So nice
Very nice park, lots of open green space, picnic benches, covered picnic areas, and trails. The boat launch and dock is a great place to get right down on the river. Thank you for the new large washroom facilities!
It an ok dog park, not my fav
A wonderful park for a socially distanced gathering of 10.
Fresh air, free parking!
Great day with the family outside today
Great place to launch your boat raft or floatation craft easy access lots of parking reservations for party picknick sites big park lots of parking and zoo parking for over flow.
City needs to get a better booking system.. otherwise it's a nice park with lots of cool things
Great place and very nice for short family trip, car parking is not very easy to find spot
This is a very popular dog park. If you’re planning a visit here but don’t like dogs, please be careful.
Nice stroll near the North Saskatchewan River. Recommend morning visits when parking is easier to get. Enjoy your walk ????????????♂️
Great park to bike ride, off leash dog park walks, and explore the river valley. Plus you can cross the bridge to hawrelak park and have even more to explore. Plenty of parking and the nice wide paved paths make it easily accessible for all.
Fantastic park, if you can find a spot. Very popular and well shaded
Plenty of amazing trails to explore on foot, cycling or with your furry companion.
It's a nice park. Not too crowded
Love this area. Lots of parking and many paths to explore. Lots of picnic areas with firepits etc as well
My son and I love going on nature walks here... no matter the time of year. We don’t have dogs(apt building not pet friendly), but love seeing them.
Nice picnic spot and sight seeing place. No public washroom available.
Good walking trails next to the river
Nice place for biking
This is a wonderful location in Edmonton, where different interest of your own can be accomplished very easily.
Nice afternoon for a hike. Lots of people with their doggies.
Great place to dock your canoe in and out of the river. Even a floaty, spend the day on the river
Awesome park
I remember having picnics and birthdays in the park but that was seems like a thousand years ago.I don't live in Edmonton anymore. One day I'll have to return for a visit and say hi to an old friend.
My dogs love this place. Super friendly.
What a great location sandwiched between the Valley Zoo and the river. Spots are limited but there are areas for picnicking and games with walking paths throughout. It was good to get out and breathe some fresh air.
Very pretty. Me and my girlfriend met a duck who is now our friend named donald. Super dope guy. I like the river.
Pretty awesome playground. Surrounded by forest and a field. Lots of picnic areas and beaches around. There is a mountain bike track beside it. Lovely structures (6, I think) that are made with wood and encourage the development of the kids' physical skills. It is shaded and the ground is covered in wood chip.
Great West Edmonton park next to the zoo. Also had a boat launch for access to the river. Picnic sites available for booking large gatherings
Great hiking trails
Such an amang ace for trails plus off leash dog park amazing for my rhodesian ridgeback x !!
Great public recreational facility close to the Zoo. Excellent covered sites with abundant tables and lawn areas.
It is clean and a good place for outdoor gathering
I like that place
This is a perfect park in my opinion. Large open spaces, parking, day camping, a zoo next to it with a dog park next to that. Easy to get to and lots of amenities!
Great park for some bbq close to downtown. The only issue is that the washrooms are usually so dirty that you do not even want to enter them.
Lovely hikes and picnic tables
It's a beautiful hike, well maintained trails.
River Valley Park that has a nice private feel Spring and Fall... busy in Summer. New upgrades... well done...
The place is not only for picnics, the lake just gives a perfect place for fishing, for boating as well as for swimming I guess its not against the law.
It's always nice to go there but... plastic transportable toilets far away from the grill places, no pets allowed! Therefore 3 stars only.
nice place for walking and biking Hard to find washrooms
Awesome place to walk the dogs on or off Leash with great trails in the bushes.
Park is great as always. I just noticed the incredibly deep potholes especially on the parking lots by the trail. Wish the city would pay attention to this park.
We just loved this amazing park????????♥️
We had our work BBQ here and it was a very nice park. I love that they had the garbages close and that there was ample of parking spaces close to the picnic site. Enforcers actually came and checked our reservation which I like as it prevents disputes from other people.
Great place for family parties or picnics
Very serene and natural surrounding for relaxation.
I really like this park! Haven;t been here since I was a child until recently, but it is wonderful.
Such a beautiful park!! Great for walking, biking or bringing your dog. I like going for the BBQ pits!
Great place to have a picnic and bbq. Was great to get out after all the rain.
Beautiful open green spaces to enjoy, you get bored of that just go to the Edmonton Valley Zoo that's in the same area.
Love the river
Bathroom facilities under construction. Two potable potty available.
Very clean bathrooms ,the landscaping and the trails within the park are very prominent, it was lovely to watch people enjoying their rides and walks throught the day , my family and children had a very pleasant day and great weather will revisit again
It's good but there are better places if what you want is just walking.
Was great, boat lauch for us to finish up our float from Devon, excellent!
Such a fun park and playground for the kids. I love that it's wood (or at least looks like it) and not plastic like all the other new playgrounds around town.
Was in the middle of today's storm.. beautiful & purifying.
Awesome trails, picnic areas , camping areas, bike trails , boat ramp , for walking n enjoying nature, great escape from this stupid quarantine. Take plenty of water, you need at least 2 days to explore everything it has to offer. Great for dogs I have 2 they will love it or go down to river n sit on stones n chill
A nice pleasant walk.
Nice place for playing jogging and barbequeing
I would have gave it 5 stars but parking was hard to come by.
Been boating on the river for many years the city screwed the boat launch up so now only one person can load or unload at a time before the city touched it we could launch 10 to 20 boats at a time
It's a great park.
Nice park for family outings, nice boat launch to the north Saskatchewan river, a lot of wildlife highly recommended.
Excellent family park. Lots of parking, lots of grill spots. Clean washrooms.
Beautiful park with with pockets of play areas and open fields for BBQs or other activities. They have covered gazebos as well
If I could give 0 stars, I would. I cruised thru the park on Sunday, May 24 and the road had potholes like the Great Lakes you could not avoid. It did damage to my motortrike. I've visited this park for many years, and although the park itself is great, I have never seen the road in such condition. What do we pay taxes for anyway! No excuse in my books. My back ally is also a disgrace because of all the infill construction. I live on the west end and I think we need a new City Counselor here!
Great place for a nice walk and to meet up outside with friends. There are lots of cute dogs in the area also.
I usually go to the dog park but I was in the park beside for an event. It was nice, decent parking and close to the river. Seems like a great place for a picnic, they had lots of little picnic spots and a few big ones.
Lovely little park on the river by the Valley Zoo. Washrooms, fire pits and benches.
Huge fun park!! Lots of nature ????
One of the best parks in the City if you're looking for one where you can hold special occasions then this is the right place to be!! Very clean and quiet environment so make your best to contribute to maintain cleanliness...there's garbage bins all over the park. I'm just wondering why all this time there's only one washroom for the whole place??? But it's all good!!
Beautiful and peaceful!
Great place for you and your furbaby, nice trails beautiful views and riverside, only thing I did not like about this place is too much pedestrian and cycle traffic otherwise it's a must go.
Great space, looks into river. Lovely bathroom
good parking, lots of space for summer afternoon activities.
So fun. Skated here!
Great scenery
There are new washroom facilities being built, which will complement the fire pits, open fields, and river access at this river valley park.
Great picnic spot, clean washrooms, unique play structures.
Best place for the weekends when every other parks are crowded!
Great place to have a bbq or go for a stroll. Only issue is with the dog owners-keep your animal on a leash if you cannot control them with your voice, as a true dog owner should be able to do. A few times now, I have been rushed by a medium-to-large sized dog because their owner is too busy chatting with their friend and leave the dog unattended. So, train your dog properly or keep them away from the park, idiot. Btw, I love dogs, it's always a human (owner) problem.
Lots of dogs so if you dont like dogs stay away.. through the dog park there was the strong smell of dog urine and lots of dog matter that wasnt picked up. If you go to the right of the zoo parking lot there are many beautiful trails some just for walking (no bikes). Lots of picnic spaces available today but grass is not very well taken care of right now due to covid.
Cool play structure and lovely park
the park is near the valley zoo and small steps (under 100). Laurier school has built a rock snake....impressive.
During the winter this is second place to Hawrelak Park for walking. Not as developed, I couldn't find a public washroom other than the outhouse, no running water and the trails aren't as nice and more treacherous if you have balance issues.
Great sites and campfire stoves, great idea for reservations during family events or outdoor picnics, clean grounds, and garbage ♻️.
Can't believe they were stupid enough to take part of the road for a path instead of put a new one in. I watched people have to make a 10 point turn to get out of the space they parked in and watch the lower fairings on your car the new curbs they put in make the parking area smaller then they were. Lol have fun...
Nice walking trails next time I'll bring a bike beautiful view of the river valley and the river
Great little spot. Outhouses could be kept up better though
Great park and great trails
REALLY cool playground for kids who are a little older (3+), and a little biking trail nearby. Can't see the playground from the parking lot, but it's there! Lots of walking trails to explore throughout this park and parks adjacent to it.
Great riding trails and awesome playground area. The kids loved it!
This park has 2 unique play structures for kids. Lots of picnic areas and easy access to the river for boating and trails for walking. Only downside was the washrooms were closed for repair. Great place to enjoy the river valley.
Nice place to walk????
Neat, clean.
First time there today. A very pleasant place to go. Well kept & friendly people. Definately go again.
Great park to take the dogs for a walk. Lots of off-leash parts too which is perfect.
Decent park, with a lot of great shaded picnic benches for a nice day out with the fam
Nice place for family picnic, (parking is limited)
Had to do work there. Nice quiet park with trails beside the river. Boat launch on to the river. Day use picnic areas with bbq pits
Had a very pleasant BBQ with my family. While the park was busy we were able to find a quiet secluded spot and able to enjoy each other's company
Very accessable boat launch, and accommodating trailer parking. Very busy on weekends, recommend arriving early for launch use.
Very nice and clean picnic spots. Walk by the river.
It's a lovely park, just too busy
Wonderful place for social gatherings. Highly recommended for families with children. You can find Snake ???? there. In our 5 hours stay we found 2 snakes.
Picnic site 4 was available when we visited the park, and it was amazing. Cozy, private grounds just enough for our family. We were able to practice social distancing as well because of its location
Great park hidden behind the zoo.
Peacefuk
Had a picnic last Saturday. Place was nice with lots of room for kids to play. We were able to prepare barbecue and other foods. Going around the park were tables set among the trees which provides lots of privacy for the users. It also connects to the white mud and buena vista dog off leash area. Walking further east leads to Hawrelak Park. The washrooms are nice and clean although located near the entrance. Parking is quite limited though and some people reserved their parking by leaving a table on the space. Hope they could provide power outlets; a washroom at the other side of the park.
Very interesting playground for the kiddos.
Park is very good u will get good location and shade but grass not mentain
Gorgeous and Peacful setting in the City of Edmonton. Connected to a wide network of walking & cycling trails many of which are paved. You WILL NOT be disappointed!
Beautiful place. Well groomed. New picnic areas. Right by the river. Perfect bike and walking trails. . It was a good day.
Nice trail along riverbank, much of it shady. Picnic areas for large groups or small. It’s next to the zoo.
I work with senior citizens and we all love the viewing and seat down area by the river .I bring a pillows to sit on and snacks ????. We enjoy ???? birds, the like minded Edmonton people and the dogs ???? ????
We love taking our dogs here. Nice scenery. Very spacious. A lot of area to walk. Overall, beautiful
Beautiful nice clean park with bbq and fire pits.
All the river valley parks are nice, but this one is a favourite. Picnic sites are especially nice here.
It's clean. We'll manicured grass. Narrow roads though. Picnic tables are nice & movable. We love the river.
Updated shared trails for strollers, bikes and walkers. Several lookouts over the river. Many picnic sites with benches and barbecues. Some need to be reserved. Pathway to Quesnel bridge or Hawrelak park.
Nice Riverside Park. Great views. Lots of Picnic space. Boat launch. Near Zoo and my favorite Elephant Lucy ????
Lots of things to do. Very clean and surrounded by the river and nature
