Maybe I had set my expectations a little too high. We arrived and we were immediately placed in a group for a tour. There was approximately 15 people in our group. The experience was a bit rushed. For my son (3) and I we paid right at $50. He wanted to spend more time looking at the animals. We had to stay up with the group so he did not have a very enjoyable time. By the time a group of 15 crowds around a small enclosure it's nearly impossible to see the animal up close. Our tour guide was asked several questions to which she responded, I'm sorry I don't have my answer cards with me. The zoo itself was very clean in the animals seemed very happy. Unfortunately my son's favorite part was the petting zoo. Had I known how rushed the tour of the zoo would have been we would have just paid for the petting zoo and had a much more enjoyable time. I am posting several pictures. I was able to grab some pretty good pictures as we walked by the exhibit. Unfortunately there was not enough time to enjoy the animals.

We saw signs for this place when we were driving to Helen and knew we had to stop by! We ended up staying for about 4 hours. At check in the employees were very friendly and explained what all the options were. We ended up doing the Guided Zoo Tour & Petting Farm Area, Sloth & Friends Experience and Capybara & Friends. We love sloths and were really excited about this. We got to feed the group of 3 close up (there were 4 of us on the tour). It was really neat to see them eat the veggies. The crunching was very cute. At the end we saw a Southern three-banded armadillo (amazing how they can get into a little ball!) We had seen capybara’s in others zoos but what an experience to see them close up! We got to hand feed one – it was bigger than I thought (about 100 pounds). The hair is very coarse, but like the sloths it was fun to be so close to them. Just before that encounter we got to feed 2 camels! Good place to spend several hours. Note: Online reservations can only be made for future dates (e.g. not day of)
This place is a joke. It’s seriously one of the most expensive zoos we have ever visited. It’s a $12 zoo at the most. The tickets are at least $10 too expensive. It was a muddy mess. The enclosures were chain link fences, nothing amazing here. Very few animals- not worth the price!

We had a wonderful time at this zoo! The staff was very kind, and the guides obviously know their stuff and love the animals. We did a Cougar and Friends Encounter and Wildlife Walk - it was a lot of fun! We learned lots and got much more "up close" experiences than a larger more "traditional" zoo offers. Wear bug spray and sunscreen!
Sloth and babies experience was amazing.
Price for adult entry
The animals are so cute and tour guides are very educational. Safari was a bonus...Lamas were so much fun as well as camels.
$31+
We had a great experience just way over priced. Nice petting zoo.
Nice place for bringing kids
Price for adult entry
Loved seeing the farm-yard animals and being able to touch and feed them!!! Baby piggies were so adorable and I had never touched a cow, sheep, or llama before!!! Also did the Safari Drive-thru; so cool to see zebras, emus, and camels!!!
So much fun

I will admit, I was a little sketched out when my boyfriend and I first got here. It was in a very rural area and some signs were handmade and it was a gravel parking lot. I kind of regret judging them because we had an enjoyable experience. We are from the Atlanta area and we both love capybaras so we decided to do the Capybara Experience for our second anniversary. We got there way past our scheduled time (which was at 1pm) due to heavy traffic on the way out of the city. They said that this is no problem and we will be able to join the 2pm tour of the zoo. Prior to the tour, we saw some cute farm animals. The tiny pigs and the tortoises were my favorite. At 2pm we got a tour of the zoo. Our guide was knowledgeable and it lasted about 1 hour. I liked how she engaged in conversation with us and quizzed us some animals. At 3pm we were able to do the Capybara experience. I saw Peaches and Cream and it was one of the most enjoyable experiences I've ever had. I cannot remember the name of the keeper that was with us (I'm sorry) but she was very nice and open to questions. Besides the Capybara Experience my favorites were the Arctic and Timber wolves, the gazelles, the porcupines, the fennec foxes, and otters. My boyfriend thought the basset hound that was friends with one of the primates and was sitting in the same enclosure was the funniest thing. We also loved the free roam chickens! I've provided pictures below.
This was a spur of the moment visit for us (myself and my grandchildren ages 4 & 7) and we had a great time. We only did the drive thru part but the petting zoo area looked interesting. Yes it’s a bit pricey but I can’t imagine the upkeep & expenses of keeping all these animals fed & happy. We got to see many more animals than are listed on the site and that was a nice surprise. My only wish is that they had more signs to identify the animals and give more facts since it is a drive thru and no one is available to ask questions. All the staff we interacted with were exceptionally friendly.

Personally feel like we may have went at the wrong time all the animals were sleeping. Loads of fun had at the petting zoo!!!
We were not sure what to expect when we arrived... But this place exceeded expectations. We were able to take in one of the animal experiences... It was well worth the extra cost. The zoo tour itself was very good and the tour guide was excellent. Don't miss the gem of an experience...I can't wait to go back
This is a nice place to get a drive through experience. Kids will love it.
We had a great time! The staff care deeply about the animals, and it’s great to be able to pet some animals and also go on the tour to learn more. Ansley was a great guide!
Very poor customer service. I bought 10 behind the scenes tours for my daughters birthday. I then wanted to add to the experience or exchange it for another more hands on experience for her and her friends. (Which meant me spending more money). I could never get anyone to return my calls or emails and actually solve my issue. Stephanie did finally reply back to my email but then ghosted me before completely solving my issue. Which meant I paid $700 and my daughter still left feeling disappointed in her birthday experience. Solving my issue actually meant spending more money with them but apparently money isn’t an issue for them because they didn’t want to take more of my money to better my daughters birthday experience. I would not recommend this place if you have any special request or are planning anything other than a normal day. The behind the scenes tour was good and we did get to pet a few animals, definitely do not go for regular admission as that only includes goats, sheep, and chickens. There was no holding any animal on the tour. Overall I feel I overpaid for the experience I received.
An amazing place to visit and learn about animals! We did the capybara encounter and it was so incredible. Marina was so great and knowledgeable. I can't wait to go back!
Awesome place to hang out with cute animals. It also showcases some unique and singularly awe inspiring species!

Sally was very helpful over the phone and answered all the questions I had, great customer service, thank you sally!
Great safari drive thur for those who have a hard time walking
We loved this place and Coffee helped us out a lot. Especially loved feeding the deer and llamas
The kids had a great time. Just wish they had elephants giraffes and real zoo animals. They should have a set price not seven different prices of different things you can do. But overall good place
Fun, clean great place to take the kids.

Loved the Wildlife Walk. Animals were actually interested in us, too! Very well taken care of at this facility. The petting zoo area was full of goats, sheep, a miniature horse, cow, and llamas. Mostly babies and young adults. Worth every penny!

Great local zoo. Wolves, cats, goats, and zebras oh my. Even Santa visited. Family friendly and amazing.
We enjoyed the walking tour, but do not take kids under 3. I don’t recommend the safari bc you can’t get out off your car and most of the animals are too far away to feed. Do the free petting zoo. Also, if I had it to do over again I would get an up close animal experience with the sloths instead of the safari which was over priced. All in all we had fun.

Took a guided tour with petting zoo experience. Clean facilities and very informative Guide. Staff was very friendly. Not a huge park on this side, but big enough to exhaust me on 40 minute tour plus feeing a bucket full of food, one handful at a time, ????????

I, my wife, and our 4 year old daughter have been to many zoos and wildlife attractions. We were excited to visit this one since it is local and we had never heard of it. The petting farm was okay. We were disappointed that we were not allowed at any point to enter any of the animal pens like a normal petting farm. The kiddie pen was empty. We were surprised and very disappointed to find that we were not allowed to view the zoo animals at our leisure, but were interested in being able to ask a guide questions, so we remained positive. The tour, however, completely ruined our experience. Firstly, the guide was 10 minutes late, which, alone, is not a big deal. But the entire time she seemed as though she did not want to be there and at each exhibit she gave us literally only 20-30 seconds on average to view the animal from the time she started speaking! I assure you I am not exaggerating. Those in the back had even LESS time because they had to wait for others to move to view them. Several times she "reprimanded" us for "separating from the group", when in reality we were in the back and had just gotten a chance to view the animal, and were just trying to take a few seconds to enjoy it before being forced to move on. She also never made anyone feel like they could ask any questions, so not one was asked. A "tour" that we were told would take between 45 minutes to 1 hour she managed to get over with in 33 minutes. It was such a bad experience! We felt like we paid $75 to enjoy half a petting farm and be rushed to glance at some zoo animals. We were planning to spend the whole day at the zoo, but ended up spending less than 2 hours there, because we could only pet sheep and goats for so long. 1.5 hours petting goats, 30 minutes seeing all the other animals... They need to either improve and polish the experience, or reduce the price. They are charging as much as the Atlanta Zoo, and even more if I get Atlanta Zoo tickets on discount! Also, they nickel and dime for everything. We paid $75 to visit the zoo, to then be told we had to pay another $8 if we wanted to see the reptiles, $4 minimum to feed the animals, and even more $ to feed the birds. There is so much that we felt slighted by, we were planning to come visit again given it is local, but honestly I doubt we will be back.
We loved it. Nice family day trip, the staff was really nice and knowledgeable about all the animals. The walk through zoo had lots of different animals and we made friends with the goats and pigs in the petting zoo. Picked up some nice merchandise on the way out. Will definitely be back, we want to try the drive thru safari next time.
Second time here and still worth it. The people are great, the facility is clean and well ordered. The animals are wonderful and it is great to get up and close with them. I highly recommend the kangaroo encounter. They’re super cute, very soft and they smell like maple syrup. What’s not to like?
Nice place, great guide! Little overpriced for children. Just my opinion

Lots of animals ...I didnt like the fact that there is 3 different things to do with a price for each...5.oo for each person for the drive through, 25.00 for the encounter to see the wolf's or coyotes or what ever it was then 8.00 each if you want to do the walk through where you can get right up on the cages to see the animals...wish it was one price does all...because you can go broke going through here...over all it was a nice short drive through to see the animals. No animals is able to get close to your car you have to toss the food over the fence into their pen. But we did get to ride in the A/C that was a plus for us.

We had a nice visit at the North Georgia Wildlife Park. Our adventure included the petting zoo, drive through park, and guided wildlife walk. For this package online it shows 37.99 per adult and 35.99 per child- it’s a couple dollars more per person when you check out at the zoo. For our family of 4 it was approximately $180 with a large bucket of food for the petting zoo only. Pros: the zoo is up-kept well. Clean enclosures. The animals enjoyed interacting. Friendly staff. Cons: the guided wildlife walk is too fast for parents with little ones. Our children are 3 and 4 and the group pace is just to fast for them to enjoy it. It would be nice to spend a bit more time looking and sharing. ***I would recommend either smaller groups or group stations.*** I do believe it’s a nice adventure park, but in our opinion, it’s not a good value.
Not fancy, but caring and fun along with informative if you take the wildlife tour. Your entry fee helps take care of the animals.
Its this attraction where you go too once. And wouldn't recommend. The staff was amazing. I guess I thought there will be more than a small petting zoo and a wildlife walk that also wasn't sooo impressive. For the price that they charge????. Wanted to also go to the drive thru zoo. But I felt like they wanted too much. ($15 per person. You'd think it's per car.) I know they have other stuff... that you also gotta pay for.... but if you want a petting zoo farm animals. Go to Noah's ark sanctuary in Ellijay. Or Flynn fields rescue in Jasper. Cheaper!!!!!
Small quaint little zoo. Fun for children. Has a wildlife exhibit with guided tour pretty cool

At first glance the zoo looks a bit small but when you get in they have all kinds of animals. This place is better than a normal zoo because you can interact and feed the animals. The wildlife walk was awesome and our guide Ethan was very knowledgeable and made that experience fun. This is absolutely worth the money.

My Daughter had a great time for about 15 minutes. I think it was 10$ per Adult and 8$ per kid for the little petting zoo. They did offer more for more money. I did notice a truck full of people go through a drive through part of the zoo in the same time it took us to finish they finished. It was for different animals. I want to say the Drive through was 25$/30$ per person but not really sure. There was also a little indoor reptile place I think it was 8$ per person.
It was nice but you have to do drive thru and walk thru to see all the animals. Makes it a little pricey.
