Nowadays this business has a score of 4.7 stars out of 5 and this rating was based on 127 reviews.

You know that we don't usually stop to place reviews when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Zoo is classified in the category of Animal hospital.
A really special place that I’d consider a must do in San Francisco, especially for animal lovers. The volunteers are super friendly and knowledgeable, I’d highly recommend paying the nominal fee for a tour. On both my visits I’ve seen a …
You get to see what work is done to protect the seas, sea lions and whales of the bay. You don't see the animals up close but from a platform; this is so the animals aren't stressed out by visitors. It is very well run. I'd definitely recommend the $10 tour as you get to hear a bit more about what goes on behind the scenes.
Always a pleasure visiting the MMC, speaking with the volunteers and seeing first hand the care they provide the sea lion patients.
The Marine Mammal Center is doing a great job of getting sick and injured sea mammals back into their natural habitat. The staff was very nice and full of information. Definitely worth the visit!
Interesting place, small practical place! You can obviously stay as long as you like but you can perfectly go in and out in 15 min. I would recommend to plan this as a stop before going to the near beach or the …
Great place to go with the kids or adults (for about 45 min. to 1hr.). Not a whole lot of exhibits, but the seals and their keepers will keep you entertained. It has a nice gift shop + an open space for pictures and relaxing.
This was a great place to learn about the many different deals and what this center does. Learning about the different textures and what each seal's native geographic region is was great. The tour is $9 per person and I would skip it …
The actual Marine Mammal Center is closed during Covid but there's a great walking trail along the cliffs and Whale skeleton's to view outdoors. I still highly recommend going during covid.

Great work what they're doing there.
Fun for all ages. Great place to visit for out of towners, groups, and locals. The staff is well educated so you're sure to learn something on one of the tours or just by asking questions. The Center does incredible work for our oceans and animals. Highly recommend!
First off any center that is open to the public for free to come and view what good work they're doing is fantastic. Please take this opportunity to make it down to the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito. It is near Great Beach so you can …
They’re doing great work. Go visit and support!
This place is truly a Hidden Gem! They Rescue all kinds of animals that live in the ocean or on the beach when people see they need help. They nurse them back to health and then release back into the wild. Their pens are clean, the people are caring, the tour they give you is for free, and only ask for donation to keep the place up. If local, you can even sign up to go on the rescues with them. Don't miss this place!

The Marine Mammal Center makes me proud. Great place to educate yourself and friends on marine mammals. This place is a working facility that focuses on Marin Mammal care and releasing. This place supports marine mammals throughout California and beyond.
Please visit this wonderful, dedicated team of people! We loved learning about the seals and seeing the results of their great work. Don't forget to leave a little donation so they can keep it up!
The modest tour fees support their work. It's a working hospital, so you can see everything to a kid habituation to humans. The behind-the-scenes tour does take you beyond where the basic tour goes. The volunteers are very passionate about their work. Definitely an interesting visit.
Camps for the children are wonderful and the drive there is so enjoyable to start your day!
It was amazing to see the work they do to save these animals. And it's so cool to see all the sea lions and seals in the hospital area getting healthy.
Very cool place. Proof that privately funded enterprise is so far superior to government nonsense.
Amazing place to learn a bit about their wonderful work saving sea life. Don't forget to donate, they are an independent org.

Great job helping the sea lions. Love the job they are doing.
This place is wonderful ????????
Fun place. Cute Sea lion babies but you can't really get close. Not that you would want to. They're pretty vicious. Either way a great place to take the kids. And it's free!!
Had a great time and learned a lot on the guided tour, was fun to watch the animals in rehabilitation and the gift store is full of great marine mammal merch which all goes towards helping fund more animal rescue! Fantastic experience.
The Marine Mammal Center is the largest marine mammal hospital in the world. Open to the public, you can check out the sea lions being cared for from the viewing deck. We were there around noon on a weekend and watched the sea lions being fed. This was a very educational experience for people of all ages.
A great organization that takes in marine animals that need care and than releases them back into the wild. The facility is set up for the care of animals with some educational displays and labels. Don’t expect an Aquarium, but it is a great quick visit. It’s free to park and to enter.
They are doing amazing work here! Love seeing all of the rehab animals and facilities that the Marine mammal center has available.
Because of covid getting out now is great
Great place for animal lovers and education. It gave us more flavor to our trip than just coastal views. Loved it!
I always enjoy bringing out of town friends here. It is a great space, that has a little something for everyone. There is a beautiful view of the ocean to enjoy before you even go in. They have hosted tours or you can wander on your own. …
This organization does amazing things for marine life as well as allowing you to observe the seals they are helping. I highly recommend you visit.
Always an educational visit.
I have never visited the Marine Mammal Center, I hope one day to visit on a trip to California. I am a monthly donor because I believe in the Centers work of rescuing marine life and then releasing the animals back into the wild after they are healthy enough to go. They also partner with environmental organizations to create a better future, hopefully one filled with healthy and thriving ocean life. I just saw an inspiring video of a whale being freed of fishing line. Thank you Marine Mammal Center. Paula Brungardt A friend in Littleton, Colorado
Kids had an awesome time. It amazing that we have a place like this. They are doing amazing work rescuing animals, educating the kids and bring awareness to the public. Kids enjoyed both the exhibits and the viewing are where they could see all the sea life. Hope to take the whole family back to the Marine mammal center, again.
They are angels! Love visiting there!
Free to the public but they encourage donations. It's the largest seal rescue in the country and a neat place to visit if you love seals.
What a great place. They are doing such great work rehabilitating animals. Great tour guides.
My daughter and I enjoyed the free Facebook live where we learned about migrating marine mammals!
If you love animals then this is the place for you.. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable.. Place was very neatly maintained.. I really appreciate their kind work towards marine life.. You can also have a beautiful view of ocean from here..
Doing amazing things for our Marine Life. thank you!!!
Very friendly staff. They clearly describe about what they do and they hand over a map to check the place. Its beautiful place and best place to know about seals. They have a small gift shop too. Very neatly maintained.
Unfortunately when we went there recently it was closed I'm sure for COVID reasons. Not sure of their plans to reopen. We love taking the kids there so hopefully it will reopen soon.
Completely worth to pay a visit with your children. You can walk on your own, or join an guided tour where they tell you about the guests they have. They host wounded sea lions, elephants, otters, etc. and once they are recovered are set free on the sea.
Location great views but center closed to public
This place was amazing and a highlight of our trip. There is an observation deck to view all the babies they are helping rehabilitate. I wish we could get closer but a lady explained that they try to minimize human contact so they can go …
I had no idea this place existed. What they're doing is great. Highly recommend visiting here before hiking around. Check out the wildlife they're helping and donate. You can get a more personal tour for $10 if you are interested. They have clean bathrooms and a cute gift shop with a good amount of parking near by. They do have 2 EV change stations too.
I worked here for two or three years several years ago. This experience changed my life forever. What a marvelous place just rescue facility saving so many lives and helping so many see critters back to their home while providing essential information about these animals in a humane and scientific way.
I just loved my educational tour of the Marine Mammal Center. The people that work there are great. Really nice gift shop too!
Great place. They take care for the animals. They help them live but some don’t survive. Please contact this place if you see a marine mammal and they will help it (stay as far enough so you don’t scare the animal)
Fantastic experience at the Marine Mammal Center! Visited here for a field trip and got to learn a lot about the various functions of the center. We took a very informative tour which laid out their processes and their mission. Got to see the observation deck where you can observe actual animals that have been rescued and are waiting to heal. Even got to see an autopsy which wasn't the easiest to look at, but it is great that they show all aspects of what they do here and the research that is used to help the animals in the future. Great place to visit and learn!
They do great work protecting animals in the area and the tour was very informative. It's in an area that's fun to look around and go to the beach, children may be underwhelmed with what they see here.
Marine Mammal rescue and educational center. View the staff and learn how they take care of locally rescued sea mammals.
