We have the opinions of people who used the services and products of Moyie Lake Provincial Park (Zoo) in Cranbrook (Canada).
At the present this business gets a score of 4.5 stars out of 5 and that score has been based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is nearly the best, and it is based on a large number of reviews, so we can be pretty sure that the evaluation is very faithful. If many people have bothered to give their opinion when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to set opinions when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Zoo is included in the category of Wildlife park.

Nice lake but why are people posting and promoting commercial businesses for the sake of points and hits. Some posts don't even have comments. Looks Stilly and no credibility.

Gods blessings with such a beautiful place to enjoy His creation! Amen to that eh!!

One of my favorite lakes.. love it.

Can get extremely busy with tourists and locals but probably one of the quickest lakes to cool off in the summer at.

The only thing missing is a long dock.

Very interesting how the canadians house their parks. Very clean, but mostly a lot of little shops. Public bathrooms were very difficult to find.

Way better than Monroe, big beautiful lake with lots of fish and boating. Highly recommend.

Well maintained campground with good activities for kids.

Nice campground, nice beach, overall good campsite. Can dump your tanks here as well

Nice quiet park, but just stayed 1 night passing through.

Mountainous.

Its really shallow until the bouys where it starts to drop off

Large campground. Well treed sites. Clean large bathrooms and large showers. Sandy beaches and boat launch. Playground and large field. Firewood $7 a bundle. Staff said someone will drive to to the sites about 4 PM to offer wood. That never happened for us so I could only rate 4*s. Overall a beautiful campground.

Nice beach a bit windy at times. Good fishing.

Very nice camp ground. Just like any other provincial camp ground.

Perfect size beach and lake. Clean and calm when we were there. Perfect for paddling or boating. Beach and water in front is super shallow and kid friendly for 100 meters.

Beautiful lake beautiful campground nice and clean bathrooms and showers (too bad they werent heated inside the bahrooms with showers) will be coming back here for sure

Beautiful beach, but could use a rake to get all the driftwood off of it.

Clean and quiet

Lovely place. Great looking campground

So beautiful a great for families

Fun for the whole family, always enjoy going there. Clean warm water

Wonderfully kept. Very clean and comfortable. Great campsites and public beach and dayvuse areas. Clean washrooms. Fantastic lake and vistas to view and enjoy. Really good job done by folks that care.

Loved this place great stop over

Shallow water, fun and safe for the kids. Great for a picnic lunch.

Hit the local beach for an couple of afternoons, lots of wood on the beach, safe place to swim, quiet and scenic.

Good campground. We like to stay here on our way to the US in the autumn. Has a couple of nice hikes for the dog (there is even a dog beach). Clean facilities, friendly staff.

A nice place for family.

Nice campground. Fabulous beach and great picnic area on each.

The atmosphere is amazing!

It's too good to be missed...

No place to buy drinks

A bit busy, but overall a very nice place!

Awesome campground. The sites and washrooms are well maintained. However, some of the washrooms don't have hot water while we were there. I hope they fix that issue. Nice sandy beach. The staff are nice and accommodating. Just 20 minutes from Cranbrook if you need more supplies.

Super quiet and very peaceful

It's actually breathtaking. I love the open air and seeing the blue sky again. ????❤

10/10 best park

Beach had some garbage scattered around (right after a long weekend), but the beach had very nice sand and the water was fairly warm. All of the people we ran into here were also very friendly!

Really clean showers, and big private treed lots.

Good place to go during the day, but always packed. For someone who tries to vlog and photograph everywhere I go. It's bad here. Too many people, lots of trash, and really needs night security. Went out here 4 times to take night photos as I'm a nature photographer still learning, and every dang time teenagers showed up wanting to get lucky. ???????? Yeah. Not cool. Can't even relax or attempt to do yoga or meditation as the place is always covered in junk and no-one can have decency for anyone else it seems. I spent years in the past coming out here to clean up the beach and area only to come back to worse. After 4 years I just stopped. I loved this place a lot but your better off relaxing at the boat launch unless your wanting a rather disrupted evening. Better places are nearby!

This park is easy to find on Hwy 95 just north of Moyie BC and south of Cranbrook, BC. The park has a large adventure style playground and a bike park located in the middle of the campground beside the large shower/toilet building. Paved roads and paved trails give this park good accessibility access. The beach near the campground has parking and a gravel/rocky shore line. Paved boat launch with pier and parking for trucks and boat trailers. The beach is not located at the campground. There is a public promenade to the each that crosses in from of private land that we did not find inviting and there is a road to the beach that does not allow RV’s so we did not see or use the beach when we visited. Showers, drinking water, trails, and sani-dump are all provided but no services at camp sites. There are multiple shower buildings making this a good destination park for your vacation if you don’t mind the location of the beach and rocky shoreline.

Nice

Good lake camping allot of people here

Excellent facilities. Large pitches. On a great lake just off the highway

When the water is low enough there is a really nice beach with a huge wading area. Great grassy area with picnic tables that have a spot for small bbq's. Great spot for spending the day or camping for a few.

Good model campground. The playground and bike track are new for the kids. The lake was unexpectedly amazing. Nice sand and fun to explore with the river nearby and how far you can go out. Price was on the higher end for campgrounds ($33 in June 2016). $8 for a bundle of wood on top of that.

Outstanding! Pristine natural, clean and beautiful! Summer is here. Parks staff are kind and helpful ????????????

A really nice campground adjacent to a really nice lake. There is a kid friendly beach with a long sandy area for playing in but is quite a walk from the campsite as it is on the other side of cabins. The beach at the campsite is rocky but still fairly nice. The campsite has a really great play structure and small bike area, and the bathrooms and showers were kept very clean and came with a cleanup sink for dishes. All in all a very nice stay.

Nice. Well taken care of, free showers mosquitoes were so bad my dog had to be taken to vet. So we left early. Be bug ready.

A beautiful local treasure in Cranbrook south. Park is located at the north end of Moyie Lake. Overnight lots and day camping. Great area for families, the beach front is accessible and the water shallow in the marked area. Consider visting this great spot.

Nice Lake. Clear water. Doesnt get too deep.

Great park with fairly private camp spots

Beautiful place and worth the 4.5 hour drive. Stayed in the Moyie Campground and the spots are very clean and well maintained. The bathroom/shower facilities are excellent and theres no shortage of hot water! Access to the lake from the campground is a short 6 minute walk, there is tables and benches near the beach to have a picnic. Highly recommend this campground if you have children, dogs, love the water, or want a peaceful time away.

Great Beach with a long shallow area for kids to play. The campground is clean and family friendly with running water showers and a playground.

Beautiful place

Best lake campground ever!! Great for kids with a sweet sandy beach

Great

Great place to go out with friends and family. You can hangout and chill with friends too. Nice lake with awesome views of mountains. And even beach makes it more enjoyable. Great picnic spot. Benches are also available there. Better campsite too. Boat launch is also their.

We only stay one night at the campground, but the campground seemed to be very well kept. From our understanding, none of the sites are serviced.

(Translated) Very clean, well-kept campground on the lake. Pitches very large and good distance to the neighbors. Located directly on Moyie Lake, dump station available. Our pitch without any connections, so we found the price for a state campground a bit high. But as I said, everything was very clean and well maintained! Firewood available, some places without reservation available, grade. (Original) Sehr sauberer, gut gepflegter Campground am See.

Beautiful beach area. Clean clear water. Not so deep at the beach that the kids could get into trouble.

Beautiful spot. Surprisingly windy????

Awesome place. Come to do some water activities or just relax at day use area. Very clean and picturesque, with a large lawn. Some picnic table are sheltered.

Nice and clean and nice scenery.

Camp sites tidy, good amenities, close to the beach.

Nice place for kids. Water is shallow for quite a while! Fun for them to play in the sand!

Good spot to do some picnic and enjoy with your family. It was cool to see the fish under the water. At the day that we visit, there is a wildfire in the area and the air quality is so bad. But even so our family enjoy the view and picnic in the area.

A great park for the kids with small bicycle jumps and paved roads..so bring your bikes and roller blades

Walked out like 100+ feet on the surface when it was frozen. An amazing experience.

Pleasant campground. Nice lake. Would have given 5 stars if not for the highway traffic and train noise.

The beach is shallow for a long ways out and the sand is soft. The water is warm. It's a fantastic place to bring children. The campground is clean, well treed, and has a playground and off road bike course! Fantastic for kids!

Beautiful BC at its finest! ????⛵????????????????

A beautiful campground marred only by draconian rules and trigger happy staff. I had one gentleman sit in front of my site berating me for things that I hadn't done until I felt it necessary to ask to speak to his overseer. Suddenly the tune changed and he found a reason to bother someone else. Be warned that you can only run your generators from 9-11am and then 6-8pm. Good luck if you have elderly campers or pets to concern yourself with during the peak heat of the day. There are better sites to be had for the bother depending on your circumstances.

Amazing beach

Fantastic! Always seems windy in evening. Very shallow far out

Not a lot of regulation regarding social distancing or dogs or smoking or drinking or anything. Family friendly if you're cool with all that. Shrug.

Terrible Lake, Albertans will hate it. Weeds and rocky beaches, waters cold, you gotta walk 2 km in knee deep water just to get to the deep end. Red plates needn't come check this lake out

Beautiful

You know, this is one of those places that I kind of like, but just not as much as some of the other BC Campgrounds. We've stayed overnight once, and they obviously spent some money improving the boat launch. Each one of the BC Parks seems to appeal to a crowd with a specific set of needs. Obviously, some families seem to really enjoy it. We keep saying we should give it a long weekend try, especially if you have any kind of boat or kayak, etc. Might have some charms if you take it seriously for a weekend.

Rather clean beach and lots of space so you aren't sitting right next to people!

Nice sandy and shallow beach, great for little ones.

While the park was beautiful, with stunning views and trails; the highway noise was a drawback. Also the price was very expensive, and for $8 you only get a very small amount of firewood.

A great place to kayak.

Beautiful spot!

I think they need to clean the beach but it is only late spring. Beautiful place.

Great park

This is a great place to bring your family for a day trip or camping. There are hiking trails nearby, a public Sandy beach, playground, flush toilet/shower facilities, boat launch and lots of interesting birds and animals to watch! Moyie Lake Provincial Park is a short 15 minute drive to Cranbrook and less than 10 minutes to the town of Moyie where there is a store/gas station/liquor outlet, the famous Moyie Pub and a tasty food truck or two. If you are into Geocaching there are many to explore and discover in and near the Park. Winter is also a great time of year to snowshoe or x-country ski around the campground road and nearby Meadow Trail. Ice fishing is very popular and you may just see ski kite sailers and an ice sailing boat on windy days! If you are really lucky you may see wolves, coyotes and elk using the frozen lake as a shortcut!

Beautiful spot to stop and have a swim on a hot day.

Large level sites. Sites well separated. Washrooms with cold water and toilets. Short walk to the lake. Very quiet on a Friday in September.

So clean , peaceful ,people are very considerate. Such a lovely place to stay ,

Great place to take kids and play in the sand!

Great sites and they monitor for noise really well. 3 star review because their sani-dump requires only coins and meant I couldn’t use it and had to drive to Cranbrook and add over an hour wait to use their facilities. It’s 2018, so at least have a credit card option if you are going to charge me. BTW you don’t charge tenters any more yet they use way more water in the public facilities without any charge!

Nice spot to cool off on a hot day - shallow beach

Great provincial park with showers and large private sites. Not the park's fault, but too many mossies when we were there. Park operators were great!

Great provincial park, gets crowded though especially late in the summer

Nice, clean and quiet park. We stopped for the night hoping to get a HOT shower but the showers were cold to lukewarm at best. Close to the lake though and they had a section for dogs at the water to go offleash. Our lab loved it.

Beauty and so much more must see place

(Translated) Very nice park with beach on the very warm Moyie Lake. Everything was very clean, recommended. (Original) Sehr schöner Park mit Beach am sehr warmen Moyie Lake. Alles sehr sauber, empfehlenswert.

Yes hell YES

Sandy beaches. 12 or so picnic tables on the grassy area. Washroom and change room. Can get very busy

Nice large campground. Paved and graveled well. Many sites with easy access. Playground is a little over challenging for anything under a 6 yr old. Beautiful lake.

Mosquito fest

A great place to visit on a sunny hot day. The shallow beach is so warm. Lots of sand and grass. If you're in the area we recommend you check it out.

Very nice park, unfortunately it can get crowded in the summer.

Moyie Lake was paradise in the mountains. This fresh water lake is easily accessible by car and has multiple parking areas. The shore is sand with virtually no vegetation, and gradually gets deeper after 50 feet. There are smaller tide pools that are perfect for young kids and babies. The shore is also very kid friendly since it’s only a few inches deep to start and gradually declines. The views are stunning and the train that passes by is icing on the cake. Truly a special place ????

This is a great park on an awesome albeit cold lake, one of the nicest beaches in the area. The swimming area is great for kids as it doesn't get deep for quite some distance, but if your looking for a swim you gotta go beyond the swimming area. There is a nice grass area with picnic tables great for family picnics. There are nice washroom/change room facilities. On the way into the park there is a campground, sani dump and boat launch. The lake is awesome for boating as it is so big and spacious. The campground is a higher end provincial park with flush toilets and showers.

Excellent campground, clean lake good for sweming, dissent showers.

Moyie Lake is nice!

Highly suggest not going in a 14 foot aluminum boat on a windy day unless you wanna be soaking wet

Great lake. Shallow at first then gets deep

Loved the campground. Well maintained and spacious sights

Cool lake! Lots of room.

Awesome Lake

Beautiful

Shallow, main Beach isn't the cleanest. Still fun!

Campground is great but the showers are freezing cold no matter what time of day. Really a problem that needs to be addressed!

This place is beautiful. So clean. Well laid out and we'll managed. We has a great overnight on a long weekend.

It's closed for the winter

Awesome campsite. Big sites. Kids park is one of the best we’ve been too and they also have a little bike park for the kids to use.

Great camping.

Wow... such a nice place. Kids and families were having great time. Lots if paddle boards.

There is a nice big lake, good boating, public beach and a dog beach, really nice camp grounds, washrooms and shower house, staff is friendly, no power spots or water hookup, there is a dumping station and you can get water there as well. We had plus 30 weather when we were there. Planning on going back next year, try it out for yourself.

Beautiful lake and campground

A great not so rugged camping site with local beach and amenities.

This Provincial Government Campground is awesome if you like boating, fishing, wildlife, and great access to historic Moyie Townsite and the famous St. Eugene mine the townsite has a good store for some necessities right off the highway with good parking (if your heading out for a big load of supplies Cranbrook is but a hop, skip and a jump away. Cool CPR History is nearby (a track and tunnel across the lake so there is some faint train noise but hey my family and I love that) also the Train museum in Cranbrook is worth a visit!

Loved the campground setting and nearby trails. However our neighbours were loud in the evening and in the morning: noise carries in this campsite. Also noticed that there was no enforcement of social distancing protocols or # of trailers per site. The site next to us had 3 RV’s and as many as 16 people on the campsite at a given time. If I were to book again, I would come off season or midweek and book a site on the outside loop.

Always meant to.stoo and finally did. Great day picnic area great for social distancing. Perfect place to pull over, enjoy some sun and eat on the road.

Was awsome ..nice that it's free while they cleanup in April ..

Awesome spot! Nice beach, all of the amenities were clean and well maintained! Cool views, great beach for kids as it's shallow for awhile! Love it!

Super clean. Perfect for young families as beach is shallow for about 200ft before water is higher than 2 feet. We anchor the boat just outside swim area and grab a picnic table in grass area. Washrooms are right at beach, so easy to use as day area or camp destination.

Beautiful lake! Check it out when you are in the area, and you won't be disappointed.

Very windy, but nice. Will make a return trip.

Amazing can't wait to go back!

I like

The kids loved it here, nice big sites beautiful area friendly staff, will definitely be back

Beautiful fun & family orientated!!

(Translated) Beautiful private sites, big lake. (Original) Beaux sites privés, grand lac.

(Translated) I made a stop to eat and was pleasantly surprised. It was full of cars and families. Very well maintained lawn and clean bathrooms. Picnic tables and a beautiful lake. Perfect for children because quite inside the water covers by the knee.

Beautiful park with large camping spots.

So beautiful.

Gorgeous place

Nice park great for kids. Has small playground. If you smoke or have dog this may not be the place for you. Tends to get the park rangers upset with you. There is one spot by lake for dogs and one spot for smokers and that's camp fellas. Every where else is non smoking.

Wonderful spacious campground, friendly staff and clean! We will be back!

Always a pleasure to come back to. Great beach, boat launch and campground. Clean bathroom facilities and friendly staff and locals make this place a regular go to for me. ????

Everything is great but the time they clean the bathroom right when you wake up and have to find a different place

Great place for kids walk out for a good distance and water is shallow.

A wonderful park and lake day for the whole family

Parts of this lake are warm enough to swim in. Close to hwy but still far enough off beaten path. Nice beach.

Nice park and beach. Really crowded on the weekends (too much for covid times...)

Nice camping. Good fishing

Campground: - $33/night a bit too expensive for just a tent. + Lots of privacy and space which we liked.

Good sized beach and warm shallow water. Excellent for cooling off on a warm day.

Nice place to camp

This little gem of a beach is great for wading with little ones or a quick cooling dip along your drive, the nice sandy shallows make for easy use and access.

Loved it

Very shallow water

Such a peaceful area

Just did an overnight stay here. Nice facilities, showers if you want/need them. Bring cash, as cheque or card payment is not accepted

Beautiful lake and a nice clean campsite. The sites I saw didn't look like they could accommodate a large trailer of say 30 feet or longer but i did not go through the entire facility

I LOVE this lake. Great for families, great beach, great water. So great I started looking at real estate!

Good escape from the city type beach. Large water source and beaches to accommodate lots of people. Treed campgorund nice and green.

Nice Beach, good parking, great water.

Enjoyed paddleboard and kayak in the morning. Wasn't too busy.

Nice sandy beach. Great for kids, water is shallow for quit a ways. Has some covered picnic tables great place to bring a barbecue.

Moyie is one of the Greatest Hidden Gem’s in this Country! I was absolutely awestruck at how clear & warm the water is. The park & the boat launch are one of the best I have experienced. It is such a treat to have a fully paved parking lot! I definitely recommend this as a destination for a true experience of a lifetime.

Good showers ,workers are friendly.

Not all that

Can't find the bottom of the lake

(Translated) nice little park at the end of Moyie Lake (Original) schöner kleiner Park am Ende des Moyie See

Absolutely Beautiful

Awesome place to camp close to home nice play area for kids well maintained washrooms and showers

Nice clean campground. Hot shower. Quiet enough. The only inconvenience is that you have to take your boat out of the water and back to camp every time you use it.

Awsome campground

Very well maintain and very picturesque

Wonderful showers, beautiful trees, clean well kept park.

Awesome provincial park near Cranbrook. Hidden gem that we found during our road trip. And there's a beach!!!! Beautiful lake.

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed our first evening with friends. I ended up taking my husband to the hospital in the middle of the night with a medical emergency. He spent a few days there and we had to find a new site as our reservation had run out. We had to stay until my husband was cleared to drive. The camp hosts and all of the other staff went over and above to find us another site and make sure we were comfortable. It was a scary time and their help meant everything to us. I would highly recommend this campground for a lot of reasons. The sites are large and mostly private, the beaches are nice and clean. One was Sandy and one was a little rocky but not bad. They also have a dog area. Bathrooms were clean. It is a 50% first come first serve campground. I hadn’t seen that before. My husband is doing well and we will be back. Thank you all.

Great lake

Too crowded. Lack of power with limited generator time of 2 hours of 8 to 10 in morning and 6 to 8 at night of running time

Very nice beach, clean and shallow for a long ways for kids!

Great spot

Can't say enough good things about this place. Sites were clean, facilities were awesome, and staff was friendly.

The beach is perfect for kids. Gradually the water gets deeper. Safe. Would go back

Beautiful park! Ice available, beautiful lake to swim and fish. Great place not far from Cranbrook!

Big camp sites. Lots of room between sites. Beach is a long distance.

Excellent place

Took the dogs for a walk out there and loved it

Lots of mosquitoes this year! Bring big spray!

Great camping spot. Good amenities.

Only used the day use area, but beautiful lake and campground appears to be a well maintained. We hope to return some time.

Too many rocks at the camp sight but other than that it was nice

Well looked after campground, the spots are nicely treed and private. There are free hot showers located in 2 spots in the park and also a dog beach, we will definitely be going back

Nice place lots of small fish nice beach

Love it

Easy to find and soo pretty

Best Campground for kids. Just a little upgrading is required for older bathrooms as they lack hot water.

Very nice park. Sharing the lake with wake boats is tiring and in some cases dangerous. Depends on the boat operator. That however is not a park issue.

nice place to stay

Very good time clean, spaced apart campsites great sandy beach!

The kids love it here!! Playground. Beach. Shallow water. Small bike park.
