Just got back from a visit where we helped volunteer at our kids school and the kids had fun but the entire place was freezing indoors as they had the heaters off but it was a very cold day today. Biggest problem was the staff was pretty rude in the cafe/eatery. Went to order a soup and was told there was only one bowl left and it was promised to some woman at the end of the line so was left without soup (sad face) but no big deal as we left shortly after. Honestly, was okay to see some of the animals and the kids enjoyed running and hiding and playing etc. but will definitely not return. What can I say, at $6/ea for a group rate and still felt we didn't get our money's worth I guess check it out if you want to see some goats but would recommend going in summer if you have absolutely nothing to do.

This is the perfect place for grand parents to show off a farm and small animals to their grandchildren. That's what we did won't ours on the week before the start of a new school year. They can feed the goats, watch hogs, alpacas, cows and horses. And best of all, state in awe at the resident peacocks. There is a play fort, a museum of antique farm equipment, ice cream and souvenirs. If works for kids from four to eighty. Our grandkids ask for it.

Lovely place especially for kids. Closes briefly at 12noon and reopens at 12.30pm. The train rides are 10am to 11am and 1pm to 2pm. It's good to be mindful of those times. All together, so much fun.

Clean, well-organized family operation. Not only do they have a trolley ride and a puppet show, but a very excellent playground with unique handmade elements like a slanted fortress. Lots of wooden vehicles to explore too. Decent food options inside an imaginatively decorated cabin. It seems there is an attention to detail here that i almost never see at kids' hangouts. We'll be back.

We took our 2 grandsons aged 5 and 7 and they had a great time. We however were less than impressed with the cost. $10/person, that was $40 just to get in. Then if they want to feed the animals it’s 25 cents for a tiny amount of kibble, $2.25 for a tiny ice cream cone. The attractions are really no better than you would find in a local park. Whatever happened to discounts for children 5 yrs old? We will not be returning for another visit!!

5 stars because my kids loved it and that's what we went for. For the kids. They loved climbing on everything and feeding the animals. It's a big area so they won't get bored. Go out and support this great local Ottawa business. At a mere $10 a head they provide a great affordable alternative all the indoor climbing places. Plus I believe you can bring your own food and drinks. Bring sun screen too!

We took our nursery school children (age 18 months to 5 years old) with their parents and young siblings to Valleyview Little Animal Farm a couple of days ago. We had an amazing time and the parents raved about the trip. The staff were excellent, from booking the trip to a few structured activities that we shared with the children (quick introduction to the farm and the 'train' ride). We wanted our families to be able to free-flow through the farm during our visit and it worked beautifully. Everyone enjoyed their visit at their own child's pace, but were never very far from others in our group. The covered eating area at the main building was ideal for our picnic lunch, although some families took advantage of the tables placed throughout the farm to eat. The animals were friendly and the children marvelled at them.The male peacock and a donkey were our favourites, as they made a lot of noise when they talked to us!!! We will definitely be returning to Valleyview Little Animal Farm with our nursery school in the future. It is the perfect size, has all of the amenities that we need, and has the perfect blend of friendly animals to meet and playground equipment to explore! Great for toddlers. Easily spend 2-3 hours here for very reasonable price. Mostly small horses, goats, and donkeys. They have some peacocks and chickens too. There is a little barn where you can feed goats, which is the highlight of the experience. Apart from that, good for a walking with your kids and exploring 'farm life'. We go once a year and never regret it. Keep expectations mild though as this is not a full scale commercial operation.

Excellent playgrounds for kids younger than 4 or 5. Feeding the animdls (goats mostly when we visited) was fun. The puppet show is just the right length if time. The displays of old farm equipment is good for adults, but did not hold the attention of a 4 year old. The train / wagon ride was informative and fun. There is an admission fee. Visited on Aug 3/18.

This is a great farm for a great family experience! There are tons of things to do for kids other than seeing and feeding animals. The setup is great and very spacious. There is also a mini train ride, and there's a crop field maze in the fall. Definitly worth the visit!

Lots of space to run around and play, COVID measures taken seriously so the indoor activities aren't too crowded, didn't have to wait too long to do anything including the train ride. This place is great for kids. My toddler seems much more interested in all the sand activities and play structure than any of the animals, but there is a great amount of both. The people who set this up really have a great understanding of what kids like to play with, almost too good. It took my son about an hour to make it past the three play structure/farm vehicles at the entrance. There is a great mix of kids here in the summer. This place is a little far, but it is worth the trip since the entry fee for both of us is only 10$.

If you are looking for a more "modern" type ATTRACTION farm so then yes you will like it, but if you are looking a place where your kids can connect more with nature, calming place and more like a real farm then this isn't the place for you. As they have made it too commercial instead of a real farm experience. I find it too similar to the agriculture museum. And staff lacks enthusiasm.

We were here for a bday party on a cold Saturday. But the place was still a whole lots fun. Happy looking animals, lots of play structures for the kids, nice staff. My daughter adored the tractor train ride. At 10$ a head, you cant beat this place for a nice outing with the family.

Didn't have the best experience here. The children's park was very old and in desperate need of repair and maintenance, and there seemed to be a number of significant safety hazards. Washrooms were very dirty. The animal enclosures were not well maintained and many of the pens had large pools of standing water. I don't think we'll be back.

Valleyview Farm is a fantastic place to bring your kids! SO much to do and half a day really flies by. Our kids (4 & 6) spent most of their time on all the play structures, but enjoyed seeing all the animals, the train and wandering around in the maze and trike zone. COVID-wise, they've done a fantastic job at keeping things spaced out, having hand sanitization stations all over and reducing the amount of people in one area. We felt very safe and were able to enjoy it all. Highly recommend!

This was a great place to bring our 15 month old daughter. She loved seeing all the different animals and feeding the goats. There is a great park in the back with lots of swings and slide to play on. We had a great time which was topped off with some ice cream at the century old barn. All the staff seemed lovely.

It was okay. I found it boring, very few animals to interact with. Goat farm would be a more accurate description. Honestly 45 minutes was enough time to see everything, including the 5 minute train ride. My kid’s got bored very fast. The play structures were nice, good play area! But I won’t pay $12+ tax for a play structure for 2 hours.

Took my Grandson and daughter here today. What a fantastic little farm. So much to enjoy. Some Covid protocols in place. You must wear a mask to enter all inside areas, but can leave the mask off for outside areas. It is best to call and book ahead of time to purchase tickets. There are two time slots, one in the morning from 9 till noon and the other is from 12:30 pm till 4pm. ( I believe). There are so many outside play areas for the children and so much to enjoy. Lots of goats, cows, horses, chickens and a variety of other animals. There are several barns to enter to have a look back at machinery, and a slew of other fascinating items to see. Trust me, your child will not be bored. They have a ride through the outer farm for about 30 ppl at a time(approx.) There is plenty of clean washrooms and a souvenir shop, along with a place to buy ice cream, water and a few other snacks. I'm leaving out a lot, but this is a great place to visit with the children, you won't be disappointed. I'll post some picture from our afternoon. Cheers Enjoy! Valleyview was a lovely place to spend a weekend morning walking around with a child. While the little one was, admittedly, more excited about the play structures than most of the animals, a great time was had by all! Really great setup as long as you don't have mobility issues. The different animal enclosures, play structures, etc. are all spread over a wide area, which means less crowding and more room for kids to be free and run around. The play structures are terrific. Any kid remotely interested in play structures will be in heaven. There are numerous structures with different activities and features - plenty to discover! The animals seem to be well cared for, which is always a key concern with places that invite the public to view their animals. The animals are also quite friendly, and animal loving kids (and adults) will love getting up close and personal with new furry friends. There is a 'train' ride (carts pulled by a tractor) that lasts around 5-7 minutes and is included in the admission price. More fun, and it's a neat way to see more of the surrounding area. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the cost. The price of admission was the same for children 23 months and up as it was for adults. I'm not sure if this is pandemic-only pricing, but it makes visiting with a large family less attractive. I'd take children 8 and under and expect them to have an absolute blast, but I don't think the older kids would get enough out of it to justify the cost (until they are older and have more interest in simple pleasures).

This is a beautiful and fun farm for the whole family! The animals are well taken care of. There are many playstructures for the kids to play on. The "train" ride was a favourite as well as the puppet show! We ended our time there with some delicious ice cream. Valleyview is a favourite now and you can tell there was time and effort put into making this place very enjoyable.

We absolutely love Valleyview Farm. There are lots of animals to see and everything is spread out. The best part for the kids is the variety of play structures, tractors and wooden houses/trucks to play in. Lots of trees and chairs too. Can't beat it for a morning outing.

This farm is one of the best destinations for families and groups with children, the program has a number of quavering about animals and the farm live, including a your in the fall train to discover the fields. For $10 per person, this farm offers great fun for kids between 3 and 8-ish years old. First you can pet goats and for 25 cents buy a handful of food to feed them. Then, after washing hands, see the puppet show, and sing along with the button-activated mechanical animals. Then visit the play structures, where my kids and I had a blast in the giant hamster-like running wheel, and also walk in their little crop maze. There's also a train that runs about every hour and takes you on an 8-minute circle around the crops, more suitable for younger kids though. They also have an old farm museum expanding to about three barns that kids love to see. I'm definitely going back.

Went there for a family outing during labour day long weekend, and had lots of fun! Lots of things for kids to climb on, good variety of animals (lots of goats, no sheep). There were displays of old farm equipment, which was not a focal point for our young daughter but if you're into that I can see how it would be cool. Unfortunately due to Covid, there is no food on site but I believe you're allowed to bring a picnic. We really enjoyed the experience overall and appreciate the measures taken to prevent the spread of Covid.

Great little farm/attraction for the family. If you are looking for a morning/afternoon activity, this is the place to go. There is a train you can board, which is not too long and not too short. There is a puppet show that was also entertaining for the wee little ones. One star removed as I wished that there was information available at the front for timing of the train, shows, etc. Maybe a map available that we could take to see/know where we were going. Nonetheless, was a great experience overall!

Kids love em' Only at first when we arrived while waiting to be checked in for the 1230 slot , we waited and nobody was at the front desk so we entered inside with the kids being already excited! On your policy it states arrival time is flexible. So we didn't mind going in to wait while kids play with your tractors outside. Basically We arrived a little earlier before 1230. And she doesn't look happy about it... , everything was great at the park. Clean. The BASKETBALL was supreme ???? Parents played it themselves :) The animals ,the barn, all great . Will visit again :)

If you have small children you have to go here! I had the perfect leisurely day there with my 3 year-old. It is so nice to go somewhere that is designed around children. Everyone was very friendly as well and seems to love kids. There is so much to do there!

We have been coming to Valleyview Farm since my older son was a little toddler. It's perfect for kids aged 0-5. It's a good size with lots to do but not overwhelming for little ones. My kids especially like the large area with lots of different play structures and old farm vehicles to climb on. My kids still love the tractor train ride that is a highlight of every visit. The gift shop is also really beautiful with thoughtfully chosen items. Friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Great spot for children from ages 3-8 otherwise they are too small or too big to enjoy the massive play structures area. The play structures aren't that big but they are numerous to keep children entertained. Cute goats and small animals but mostly just goats that you can pet and feed. Little innovation to keep coming back. I would visit once a year just to keep kids busy. Recent Easter weekend there was no thought to fill the muddy areas. Little thought to keep the train wagon open (closed due to mud issue) on the busy weekend. People came for the wagon rides. It's almost mandatory for children. Friendly young staff. But no service other than admissions and cafe. Some prices are outrageous. 2 mini pogo sticks for $3. Upon receiving the pogos, I was shocked to see how tiny they are. The size of my thumb. They should be priced at $2. They buy food from Costco and re-package them. Chicago mix popcorn cost $6 a large bag. They filled plastic containers with them and charge $2. Popcorn isn't expensive. So basically they are trying to get $60 from $6 bag. Not mentioning freshness issue. Once the bag is opened, it's not fresh anymore. Applesauce cups from Costco are resold for $1. They should be .75. Fruit cups at $1 is acceptable. Check expiration before purchasing due to slow selling due to prices. The fries appears to be baked and unsalted which is healthier. My children asked why the trains aren't going around in the cafe. The staff said the batteries died long time ago. Little thought was given to re-activate them for the busy Easter weekend. They received over 2,000 visitors that weekend, yet they wouldn't turn on the trains to entrain the children while they pay premium for cafe food. At least my kids got free cookies from the egg hunt. I wish admissions could be cheaper but I understand how they need to support themselves during off season.

What a positive experience! Such an assortment of things to amuse any age group. You can pat and or feed animals and play on various sizes of jungle Jim's and slides. For those who read there are signs to inform any age group of the history of farming and animals. The entire farm is pristine. The little snack bar has a small but ample selection of items at old fashioned prices. I will gladly return with my little 3 year old friend friend and his mother. He will sleep soundly tonight which is worth the price of admission. Lol.

Please do not support this farm! The animals look so miserable and poorly taken care of. It’s also ridiculous that adults need to pay a full entrance fee, this place is disigned solely for children. Not very many animals, you pretty much pay for your children to play at a standard neighbourhood park.

This place is a must for anyone with kids! It’s clean, staff is friendly and healthy food variations are available. The animals are healthy and have room to roam. The cost is super affordable and even the parents can sit and relax a bit while their little ones run around on the many play structures. They have family friendly bathrooms where you can change your baby/ plug in your breast pump should your baby be like mine and choose to drink from a bottle instead of breastfeed. I can’t say enough about this place- easy to spend a few hours or more here without breaking the bank.

Our grand daughter just could not get enough of the goat barn and the many play structures. The corn maze was an added touch. Will go back again next year.

A wonderful activity to do with your children. Being around animals and nature is always a great activity. The staff are friendly and the animals look well looked after. Valleyview Little Animal Farm is a summertime must do for us.

nice little place to be with toddlers and young kids. The little farm area is where toddlers seem to enjoy the most. It would be nice to see one or two staff assistanting with whatever required. Train ride was nice & all of us got down and kind of lined up but no body cared to show the way out until one of us approached the closed exit barrier to leave. Overall it has been good value for money

Love this place! My 1year old son loved the playground and train ride more than the animals ! Very cute place to spend time with kids, you won't regret it! I only wish we could buy season passes as I'll be taking my son often!

Had a fantastic time. My son loved it (2.5yrs). Lots of animals in beautiful pens, feeding barn, plenty of space to play and explore. Neat train ride, adorable puppet show. The grounds are beautiful and the museum was so interesting. Will definitely go again when we do our annual family visit to Ottawa.

Valley view farm is great for kids between 2-10. A bunch of farm animals and unique play structures like the tractors, farm equipment etc. Kids can pet some of the indoor goats and feed them too. Train ride is a short ride less than 5 minutes thru the different types of crops like corn, hay.

We had a really good time even though the temperature was crazy hot. A little disappointed that we could not feed the goats but that's COVID for ya, we did have fun feeding the horse the apples that fell off the tree. We will be back in the fall

I love this farm ! It is very fun for both adults and children. My 4 1/2 year old had a blast! A good variety of activities for children. Very affordable price , compared to other children’s venues in Ottawa . The grounds are very clean. I like that they put a hand wash station by the feeding barn. The Workers are friendly. Good location, not very far from the city ( pretty much within city limits). We are looking forward to returning again soon! Great Job Valley View Little Animal Farm !!

It is rare that we have kids go on and on about how much fun they have had somewhere. I thought it was neat, i love animals part, which was not huge here, however the kids loved it all. The train was a bit short, but a very welcome breath if fresh air)) the puppet show was cute, the kids enjoyed the silly jokes. And the park and the activities area took the cake. Overall the fastest 2,5 hrs. Recommend.

My grandkids had a wonderful time. Only wish the train ran more often. We didn't get a chance to go on it as the kids had to get some lunch and go home for a nap.
