Here we offer you all the feddbacks of real people who are using the services and products of Dominion Arboretum (Zoo) in Cornwall area (Canada).
At present the firm has a score of 4.8 over 5 and that rating is based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is nearly the highest, and it's founded on a very large number of opinions, so we can think that the rating is very credible. If there are many people who bothered to leave their review when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to place opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Zoo corresponds to the category of Arboretum.
Amazing place to breath, exercise or do anything you want with the family.
If you are playing ingress, you need to go to the arboretum!!! Also the grounds are beautiful.
Beautiful walk, you have the choice to walk along the water, through the forest or by the farm buildings
Didn’t know this place exists. So beautiful
A beautiful place to spend a day biking or walking around. It's often busy but not to the point where it interferes with having a good time.
Absolutely beautiful place... Especially at sunset. Lacking a few more explanatory panels and a self guided tour app or pamphlet.
Great place for taking photos an appears that lots of people take their dogs for fun run
Lovely area to take family photos or just to go for a walk.
Great place to come walk your dog.
Went to the Arboretum for a walk with the family, beautiful place nice trails lots of pokemon spawns and stops. Its right next to the canal you can walk to the end and then walk down next to the canal.
A favourite spot of mine to return to over the years. Summer and fall are the best times to visit(spring is ok too but sections of mushy grass abound close to the trees), a walk, a dog walk, a picnic or just a pause from a ???? ride. Many of the trees have plaques providing some information about their species. Outside its educational side, this place is excellent for peaceful reflection and is a generous portion of land to explore. There's a little lake that flows from the Rideau canal close by, where docks and occasionally a crane would take refuge. The arboretum can be accessed via the capital pathway; at Dow's lake from the north or the locks near Carleton University from the south. Coming by road turn into national Capital commission driveway at the roundabout from Prince of Wales drive and there's some parking. Otherwise park at Dow's lake and walk. If you haven't visited yet, do it.
Beautiful all year round. Would be nice to have public washroom available for parents of young children.
A hidden gem in Ottawa, perfect place to sit and watch the sun set or Take your wedding photos there. It is a beautiful spot.
Lovely walk in all seasons. Dogs on leash. Sledding not allowed (but still happening).
Beautiful little spot in the middle of the city.
Really great space for a walk, bike or a picnic! Tons of room big open spaces and tons of shade
Amazing diversity of trees and foliage. Great place to toboggan in the snowy months.
Lovely spot for a walk and picnic. Moderately dog friendly as well.
Snow and tobogganing was as beautiful as ever!
So beautiful... the green heart of Ottawa. One of the best spots to take your kids out right in the middle of town
Hands down my favourite park in Ottawa!
Beautiful park in Ottawa along the canal. Great for walking, biking, running, skiing, sledding, picnics, etc.
Beautiful old trees in the middle of the city. Nice trails to walk in. Good Hill for tobogganing.
Lovely in any season and so colorful in fall.
I love the Arboretum, I return there again and again.
Love this place. Nice short trails and beautiful views of the canal.
Great place to visit, take the whole family! Lots of Pokestops! Bring friends and have a picnic
Spacious, quiet, pet friendly, well maintained paths, gardens and fields.
The Arboretum at Central Experiemental Farm is a gem and I attended a talk by Friends of the Experimental Farm that was great.
Nice green space within the city. Great for walking, biking, picnics... and if you're interested in trees you can find a lot of different species here! Also don't forget to check out the Fletcher Wildlife Garden.
Great place for a stroll ????
Top picnic spot.
I love going to the arboretum with friends and family and just hanging out. Plenty of open space to have a picnic and enjoy food and company with people you like.
It's raining day today and trees are waking up after long winter????????????
Enjoyed a beautiful walk. Was nice to read the names on the tree tags, wish they were in Latin and English, as many were just in Latin. Was also nice to read the ones that were dedicated to people... Was a nice afternoon, thank you.
Beautiful place to explore. Parking is limited but free. There are washrooms available on site. It's a perfect place for a walk, a jog, or a picnic.
Beautiful in the fall colors, very well maintained and clean. The paths are very clear and it wasn't too crowded
Nice landscape. Very refreshing park.
Nice park in the middle of Ottawa, informative with signs on trees identifying the species and an easy and walkable network of trails.
Beautiful place to take pictures and hiking.
Amazing place!!
always a good place for a walk. even more now because there's lots of room to spread out. and it's beautiful
Scenic and peaceful place. Good for outing/picnic. Walk along the Rideau canal. Very greenish with 200 years or more trees.
I love to enjoy nature and this place is the one for me
Loads of space to walk. Dog friendly. Beautiful trees.
Superb place to go for a walk - pet friendly too! Love ❤️ it here! Lots of old trees, flowers, water & an abundance of wildlife! Visit often! Watch out for bikes ???? on pathways as they zip by pretty quickly..
Always a beautiful spot to hit in the city, anytime of the year, but specially in fall.
An excellent place to spend a couple of hours. Ottawa has got beautiful parks and this is one up there in the top 5
Beautiful place for a dog walk, nice views over the canal, too many species of trees to imagine.
Cool park with trees, what's not to love?
The entire Dow’s Lake area is very beautiful! The Arboretum is no different. It’s a joy to walk through the area and breath in the energy of the trees. ????☺️
A lovely park. Summer time strolls and beautiful trees make it a great place for a picnic.
The perfect place for a picnic, a gathering with friends, a romantic walk, some physical activity or even a wedding. The Dominion Arboretum has something for just about everyone who appreciates nature. Possibly the nicest green park area in the entire city.
First time I was ever there. It was beautiful.
What a beautiful place to just sit and enjoy, parking Is limited and I would think fills up early but it is in walking distance to alot of places so you could walk here quite easily
Beautiful spot. Great for picnics. Dog friendly.
Pleasant natural park area adjacent to Dow's Lake. It is an hour walk from Parliament Hill (20 minute bike) along the Rideau Canal and quite close to the Preston Street area (many restaurants).
Great place to go for a walk or toboggan. Beautiful, old and massive trees on site as well.
Beautiful place for a socially distanced walk.
Beautiful little gem in the heart of the city. Dog friendly and a nice walk to keep in shape or to unwind the stress of the week. There is a bike path as well and the city is doing a good job at maintaining the place. A must see in Ottawa.
Great green space in Ottawa. Beautiful park. Lots of trees. Great for picnics and engagements ;)
A wonderful place for a walk by the water.
Have been going to this park since long. One of the loveliest places of Ottawa. Number of parking spots are fewer than typical volume of traffic. So, parking gets difficult at times.
I met wonderful trees there.. Absolutely gorgeous ones.. Plus it's a nice place to chill.. I recommand that place especially during sunny days.. As a tree lover, I felt at home.. There is a nice lake too and you can reach the Arboretum by cycling.. The cycling path cross the parc.. So peaceful ! ????????????????????????????????????????????
Very, very beautiful. Parking is scarces but once again it's beautiful
Ottawa's Central Park, this place has gorgeous views, lots of space and so many different parts to discover!
It's really quite a wonder place to visit. Parking is good and is available along many spots but is limited. If you want to go find a time when it won't be busy. The scenery is great and gives you an amazing view of the city
Beautiful park with photo opportunities applenty. Great for a morning walk, or anything really. A must visit.
Pretty park and nice for a walk.
A peaceful and absolutely beautiful place to either find the perfect spot to rest and contemplate life or a gentle walking meditation or a fun way to educate ourselves on plants and trees.
Amazing park but no public washroom there
I trust these trees as far as I can throw them.
Beautiful spot with lots of trees and shade. Great for a picnic or for a run.
Most beautiful park in Ottawa. Go only once, and you will hooked. Every day I want to go back. Serene, peaceful, restful and very accessible, smack in the center of Ottawa, accessible by car and buses. Agriculture Canada is doing a beautiful job to maintain it. Kudos to them!!
Free 60 minute parking. Beautiful grounds. Dogs are definitely welcome. You’re suppose to leash your dog but many people had their dogs off leash. Dogs were swimming and running, it was great. I was there specifically to fish. I didn’t catch anything but with live bait or smaller lures I would have caught a few. Water is clear. Trails are paved so strollers, bikes, rollerblades etc would be fine. Lots of big trees for shade. Nice picnic areas with garbage bins around to keep park clean.
Gorgeous afternoon spent with loved ones. Difficult to find parking and a lot of people parked illegally because of this. Go early or park near does Lake and walk up to guarantee a spot.
Amazing place for a walk in the middle of Ottawa.
Great place to be at peace with your thoughts.
It is soooooo beautiful. Great place to bird watch. We saw a Night Heron, a Baltimore Orilole, Mallard, female Wood Duck with little ones, tonnes of Redwing Blackbirds.
The brown sugar bubble tea was awesome
Careful where you park, they've been ticketing a lot these days. Dog friendly. Not crowded. Bring a blanket to sit on the grass or walk around.
One of my favorite places in the city!
We went for our 1 year old's photo shoot. The area is beautiful and we got some really great photos.
Dumpsters, 10/10 for standing.
A peaceful place near the heart of Ottawa. Great for picnics and recreation and a stone's throw from Dow's Lake and the Canal.
One of the more beautiful spots in Ottawa, especially if you want to chill out with a cycle or walk through the park or gardens. The arboretum is attached to large swathes of parkland, the Central Experimental Farm and the Canada Agriculture Museum. It can get really busy on weekends. Offers scenic lookouts, lots of flower gardens, walking/cycling trails, many types of trees and access to the Rideau Canal and Dow's Lake. Very popular spot for wedding and special event photo sessions. Best of all, access to the gardens and parkland is free, though there are fees for things like the museum and some of the adjacent facilities/activities.
I always visit this park for my walks and whenever I need a breather. Would recommend it for families too.
The Arboretum has to be one the best outdoor areas in Ottawa for strolls, runs and biking. Everyone mixes well together into an easy flow.
Just a brilliant jewel to walk through by yourself or with your dog (the place is immaculate so it looks like everyone takes care of their pets) Slide down the hill in winter or walk by the canal in the summer - just a great place with magnificent examples of trees from all over the world
Beautiful place to walk around
Such a beautiful shockingly unbeknownst place to spend a day enjoying beautiful views of the Rideau canal, the beautiful trees and serves as a great spot for a picnic (men easy bonus points to gain with the Miss's ) Beware depending on the weather you may have to deal with Nats (little black bugs that love being around your face) they drove my wife and step son bonkers but generally left my daughter and I alone.
Lots of mature trees in a rolling hilly setting, great spot for a picnic
Beautiful park in the middle of the city and by the river. It has a great collection of trees which are all marked so a visit can be an educational experience. The place is also great for a picnic, walking, jogging.
Beautiful place to visit!! So many amazing spots to walk/bike and to sit and relax!
Beautiful oasis in the middle of the city. You can bring dogs here, go for a hike with the kids, or just come to lounge on your own. Beautiful native and imported trees. There are no washrooms so go befoee you visit!
Great place for a picnic, frisbee, whatever you can think of doing in a park!
Great place for wedding photography and family gatherings. Plenty of green space.
Very amazing quite place in nature. It feels like in heaven. You can bring your own chairs, get your coffee, tea, ice drinks, and snacks, sit back and relax and enjoy life.
Gorgeous spot in Ottawa. Great place for a walk
Beautiful place but very hard to find parking on busy data
A nice place to go for a walk (with or without the dog), to sit by the river or to have a picnic. Well worth a visit, or two.
Beautiful tree-filled fields next to the canal, perfect for picnics, bike rides, or just walking.
Beautiful natural area. Some construction going on at the moment. Bring food for picnic, no food available nearby. Limited parking.
A great place for a walk, bike, or picnic (and sledding in winter)! The views of Dow's lake and the city are very nice.
beautiful for enjoying nature, walks, cycling, climbing trees, views of the canal and Dow's Lake and a short walk to the Rideau River via Carleton University
Hidden gem in the middle of city. Trees are beautiful specially in autumn. Great for a stroll or picnic.
Very peaceful place to be. Every tree is labelled so you get to learn a decent amount while exploring the park
A great picnic spot, though not entirely accessible depending on where you are. Washrooms weren't clearly indicated.
Beautiful, relaxing and very well maintained. Love the white butternut tree!
A zen place to kick back in the grass and have a picnic or play with your dogs. Lots of people to people watch and other dogs to play with. Get out of your house and dig your toes into some lush grass, if only for a half hour - you'll thank yourself for it. Parking is pretty stupid though, only a few spots available.
Nice walk. Lots of Pokestops. Trees are beautiful.
Beautiful spot. I've been coming here since I was a toddler (I'm now in my 40's) and now visit here to walk the dog. It's beautiful, but there are some missed opportunities for a few european-style concession stands that could serve some coffee and snacks and have some tables and chairs for a bit more of a social area. I've always thought that there should be small cafes and restaurants lining the south west shoreline which could be used year-round. I don't know why they can't integrate a little commerce with community in this otherwise lovely - but uneventful - park.
Went here for our family photos.. beautiful outdoor space with mature trees, nice views and a walking trail.
Great trees to climb and a nice hill for kids to roll down.
A truly unique place where you can get in touch with nature and unusual species of trees. Beautiful all year round.
Very nice place for a quiet walk, some shade and photos. Difficult to get parking. Almost impossible on a weekend. Be aware people walk dogs and of course they think they are the exception to using a leash. You may get your leg humped while someone is taking your picture. Not saying that happened...
Beautiful place for everybody whether you are strolling, walking alone, jogging, dog walker and have kids fun place to go! Beautiful scenery. Lots of beautiful trees and flower good for hiking too. Fresh air peaceful and quiet and not too crowded!
Awesome greenspace.
This place is amazing all year round and a must visit for anyone who enjoys urban greenspace or trees. Be sure to visit the flower gardens across the road too and if you're adventurous or have young kids, the experimental farm is also a great visit.
So much fun for kids here. Great hills for not tobogganing....
A beautiful spot, enjoyed the picnic tables near the pavilion.
Beautiful, majestic, spectacular, peaceful, panoramic, I love it. It is NOT an off leash dog park, please keep your canine companions in check. They have been fining people.....
Great place to spend the day in the sun. Beautiful greenspace
It was a real pleasure reading the signs on the trees and seeing the impact of such donations.
The park is so wonderful, you can jogg, run, walk your dog, a picnic or just to breath fresh air, tons of things you can do in this calm and peaceful place.
Great visit. Lots of birds.
One of ottawa most beautiful scenic spot. The hill is tall enough to have the canal set at the back drop. In winter time , this is a hugely popular spot for tobaganning.
Beautiful oasis in the city. Had an amazing toboggan hill also!
Amazing sights! Love it.
Great in the summer for pokemon walks and the landscape is beautiful.
Most beautiful park in Ottawa except for geese poops????.
Trees are all labeled, which makes the tour educational.
So peaceful. Great view of Carlton University and Dows Lake.
Very lovely place for a walk.
We're so lucky to have this park in our town.
Lots of lovely paths in a scenic setting and the opportunity to see many species of trees.
An amazing g place to bring the family or leave them home and relax. Its easy to forget your surrounded by millions of people as you enjoy the trails and walk along the water.
Pretty park! Lots of runners and dog walkers. Might bump into all sorts of animals...! ????
A great place for a leisurely walk, so many different trees. Absolutely freah air!
A wonderful place to see beautiful trees. Nice paths, nice wildlife, very good bit of nature in Ottawa.
Beautiful place! And great fun lace to talk your pup for a walk as well.
One of the nicest park walks I've ever had.
What a delightful spot. Go before you go, though.
I love the Arboretum. The gravel paths are well tended, there are lovely bushes and flowering trees. It is usually cool in the shade of the trees, even on the hottest days. You can walk your dog or stroll and everyone that you meet is polite and helpful.
Beautiful scenery and tranquil. Good place to relax
Fantastic park
Large open park. Great for walks and dogs often run off leash,
If you have not been then go here. If you have then go again. It is truly wonderful part of Ottawa. Make sure to not follow the paths - just walk randomly, look at the amazing trees and take note that many are labeled, donated or dedicated. Absolutely beautiful.
Especially in spring time
Nice place to enjoy the summer
The place is awesome for a picnic/photoshoot(in fall season)/running or walk/spending a leisure evening and a must visit if you are in ottawa for a couple of days in summer.
Gorgeous place to picnic or bike through, plenty of beautiful places to take pictures
Beautiful
Amazing place to take couple photos!
I didn't realize the Sunrise was so beautiful at the Arboretum! One more thing you can do there while walking, tree watching, exercising, dog walking! All that, all seasons and the area is large enough to have you own space; in a public place! Check their website for hours of operations. Washroom available on site but again only within certain hours. Accessable by bike, by foot and by car. **Bring your camera in the fall in particular!
A lush grove of trees and gardens, perfect for a stroll in summer or winter. Watch out for toboggans!
Nice place for a picnic
Not many cities can boast of such a vast green area in almost near the centre of the city. Great for walks, enjoy the greenery and natural landscapes in this magnificent park.
Awesome park love the big Weeping willow trees they have over there!
We walked the trails along the south side of Dow's lake to the east side of the Rideau Canal (across from Carleton University).
Many exotic trees that grow in Ottawa the grounds are well maintained.
Beautiful all seasons park calm and peaceful lots of dog friendly people nice place to walk ur dogs love visiting this place
Great place to enjoy nature year round.
In early May, you must picnic here! Trees blooming, Herons fishing, enjoy nature!
A park like this makes Ottawa the city it is. You feel so deep in nature with no more than a couple steps in.
So beautiful here, great place for a walk or some great photoshoots
Good place to investigate the different trees of the arboretum, or just enjoy the outdoors in one of the shaded grassy areas.
So pretty. Great place to take a stroll by the river
Lovely place for a photo shoot, particularly when the flowers are in bloom. Dogs are not allowed. Weekday parking is free after 5:30PM.
Great trail to walk and relax. Also dog friendly!
Amazingly large area for a nice stroll. I just wish they had a few more spaces for parking!
It really doesn't feel like you're in the city when you're here. Perfect place to go for a walk or just go out and enjoy the weather.
Great place for nature walks. There are also lots of wide open space where my kids love running wild.
Love the walking trails here. Awesome for picnics.
Beautiful place, but very few parking spots
Beautiful spot. Why are there no bathrooms here? As a human who uses a bathroom from time to time, I feel they should exist in a giant park.
Very popular mid Summer place to walk around. Very popular place on a wedding day for pics
Over 40 years in Ottawa and still finding new pleasures here. Trees in bloom and wisteria finally has leaves.
As a photographer its a great place for fall photography
Amazing park. Beautiful place to take a stroll , bring your dogs or kids and to have a picnic.
Awesome park for the biking, walking and bringing the fur babies alive.
Beautiful and relaxing. Great place to take a nature walk to get away from urbanisation.
A beautiful place for a peaceful walk or a fun run. Rain or shine its a great spot with good accessible parking.
good place for hang around. Too many people during hot period.
Needs a basic map at either the northern or eastern entrance, including simple description of what facilities (if any) exist in the arboretum.
An awesome place, come during the summer! :D
Awesome place to walk around in a park, great for the whole family. Lots of different and beautiful trees. Also a ton of poke stops
Dominion Arboretum is basically a park exposing different types of trees. It's beautifully located on the shores of Rideau Canal and Dow's Lake. It's a nice place for a longer walk during any season. There could be some more information on the different types of trees.
Absolutely love the arboretum, amazing for a picnic or a photoshoot. Also super nice to just go for a walk.
This is one of our favorite places to take a stroll. Many trees to see and great for bird watchers too. Sit and have a picnic, take a bike ride or just take in the scenery. 5 ????
Beautiful place to visit year round. But right now it's still a bit early since most flowers were not blooming yet. In couple weeks, this place will be amazingly beautiful.
Very relaxing. Nice water view. Nice walk
Great park to enjoy cherry blossom.
Beautiful place for a walk or a picnic!
This is a great place to walk around and enjoy the fresh air in the city. And as mentioned, a very high pokestop density. Go for a stroll here and you might see a few trees you've never seen before.
A beautiful place for a quiet walk through many different types of trees plus a great view of the Rideau canal.
Nice place for a little hike. ????
Beautiful area for a relaxing walk. The arboretum offers stunning views of the Rideau Canal and beyond. With paths that are easy to access on foot and with mobility aids, it’s a great spot for taking visitors to Ottawa, and taking a stroll through whenever you need some fresh air.
Beautiful place for a walk, or jog or walk your dog! Very close to downtown and the park itself is very beautiful!
A wonderful jewel in the heart of the city providing a peaceful respite from day to day busyness. Unfortunately not all pathways are maintained during the winter.
Beautiful, especially during fall. A spectacular place to take a walk, well maintained and meticulously sculpted landscapes. A great variety of tree species to identify for botany enthusiasts, and excellent location for photography. Probably one of my favourite places in Ottawa, which is in my opinion the most beautiful metropolis in Canada.
Such a gem! A wonderful place for kids, dogs & families - to picnic or simply run around... and it's free, too.????
If it's a sunny day out then the Arboretum is where you will want to spend it! A beautiful walk where you get to see all kinds of nature. There is lots to see. Many different varieties of trees from all around the world. A great place to take the kids, walk the dog, or go for a run. A must visit in Ottawa
Such a beautiful spot to enjoy the view or go for a hike.
Always a good time walking, jogging, solitary or with company (2 or 4 legs, your call). Nature beckons quietly with quiet scenes or sweeping vistas. Ottawa's concrete and glass complement the background.
We are looking for our wedding ceremony location and we both agree that here is the great place!!! Always amazing!!
Gorgeous. Lots of walking if you want to experience it all but totally worth it.
Clean and well maintained. Wish there was a bit more parking but that doesn't change that this is an awesome place for walks and picnics!
Perfect for morning or afternoon walks, picnics, throughs throughs. Stop and checkout the trees too
Beautiful locations, nicely maintained, wide variety of trees. Only thing is that dogs run around without leashes.
Excellent trails for running, walking cycling, great connection to Fletcher Gardens as well as the experimental farm. Easy to get to from Dow’s Lake
Gorgeous trails. Great for taking pictures. There is a decent amount accessible by car for those who have trouble walking
Gorgeous place to walk through or just sit and gaze at the landscape...
Great open space for a stroll along the Canal. Lots of old oak trees. Lots of ???? walkers.
Probably one of my favourite places in Ottawa. I love walking by the canal, reading the ID tags on the trees, and of course visiting the spring blossoms and fall leaves. I also love how easy it is to access from the Carleton campus and public transit. So far, we've seen raccoons, cormorants, a hummingbird, turkey vultures... and there's a great blue heron who lives in the little pond with the bridge, often showing up around dusk. Worth visiting over and over.
Beautiful, scenic place with a great view. Lots of different trees, green space, good for a picnic or some soccer or Frisbee. One of my favorite spots to relax! Very pretty.
Great place to relax, take the family out for a picnic, do some ???? hugging :)
Beautiful place to walk and relax. About 10 parking spots...what a joke. If you have time, find a parking around the lake and walk in it. Enjoy the long walk.
Peaceful and surrounded by nature. A great place to go to preserve your sanity!
great for walks
Nice spot for a walk, flowering trees are lovely in mid may
A beautuful jewel in the middle of the city. Great for walks or picnics. Bike riding or jogging.
Wonderful walking trails and biking paths easy parking. Beautiful and clean
Nice place to go for a run or bike ride.
Beautiful spot for pictures. We did our wedding photos here.
Nice little place for a walk, usually around a dozen people in the area by day, very empty and spooky by night. Also full of Ingress Portals and Pokestops. That's why I go, anyway. ????
It's absolutely beautiful! The place is very clean and quite big so you can enjoy trails there and gather with friends. Keep in mind that there are no water fountains nor bathrooms anywhere.
Love this place. Good for long walks
Considering that it is in the middle of a city, this is a marvelous green space. During this pandemic it has been quite busy but most folks are good about respecting social distancing and keeping to their bubbles. Lots of shade to sit in, as well as bodies of water to enjoy.
A great place to go biking, fishing, take a walk or have a picnic.
Beautiful scenery flowing with an assortment of wildlife. Right beside Dow's Lake too
It is beautiful scenery and open space for kids to run and play
Great for family's. Picnic, walking along the river. Scenic vistas.
Nice out of the way place for a walk. Great place for a picnic. Some washrooms available. I love the architecture of the government research faculty too.
Great for walking and running. Plenty of choices between open space, single track trails, by the water or in the woods, grassy, hills or flats, paved or gravel/dirt, based on your preference.
People need to keep their dogs on a leash. It's a bylaw..Amazing park to just hang out.
A perfect place to take a long walk, go for a run or exercice the dog.
Beautiful place!
We enjoyed the many gardens full of Peonies and Roses that were very pretty. Had a picnic under the trees but with the infestation of tent caterpillars this year it was a bit discouraging as their droppings were falling on us like rain!!
Another great huge green space. Highly recommend to visit and see here. Don’t forget to bring your bicycle and meals
It was an amazing time I spent with my husband. I recommend it for sure ????
Beautiful spot for family photos not much parking though
Beautiful place to walk around. However there is not a lot of parking, so it fills up on weekends
My favorite place to walk since I was a child. Beautiful for nature lovers, photos, picnics and bike rides
Gorgeous views, never overpacked - very scenic and relaxing.
This place is BEAUTIFUL. I am from out of town and this was a place for us to stop before we left town. Every person we interacted with was pleasant. The only nuisance was that there was a serious lack of garbage cans. I'd say for every other pair/individual we passed, there was a dog or two. We went passed one, maybe two cans in total during our walk. Unfortunately, I think the lack of receptacles have resulted in people littering - I did note garbage stuck here & there at the water's edge in trees and plants. Very disappointing considering how much use the trail obviously gets.
Great place to go for a walk anytime of year!
Best place for walking, picnics with your special someone ❤????
Such fun to walk around. Through forest, fields and trees. Darling little bridges and benches. Great for picnic.
Beautiful & great trails! Limited parking though.
It's a giant beautiful dog park on Dows Lake. It's a good starting place to walk the canal.
The trees are mature, i can walk here in peace. Well maintained trails and paths.
Great place for pics
A lovely experience! The trees are very pretty and so is the canal. The path is not cleared in the winter however and it is not lit at night.
It's a great place for family, bring kids. There are vast place where you can spend some time relaxing or doing a picnic.
very clean and beautiful arboretum. a grand abundance of trees and bodies of water, and not many artificial creations. many of the trees here have memorials, which you can read and find out about. decent sized parking space, although it is located on the top of a steep hill (steep hill from inside arboretum perspective) a well-managed and quiet arboretum, would recommend
Great place to walk, picnic, chill out, or walk your dog. There are some amazing trees there, so take the time to get to know them.
A beautiful place for a stroll with doggo. Lots or trees (hence the name).
Very calming
Good day, but only magnolia is blooming at the moment. Perhaps another week or so and we should see the crabapple flowers.
Our "tip toe through the tulips" was very pleasant. The crowds came quickly so it made it a little difficult to take pictures without people walking in front. The tulips are a little late this year but those that were in bloom were lovely.
Exquisite nature park to take the pups for a stroll.
If you want to get away from the city feel in Ottawa the Arboretum is the place to go. With massive grass spaces and lots of beautiful trees it's among my favourite picnic locations in Ottawa. Easy to bike, walk, or drive to. Go see this lovely greenspace and get yourself some vitamin nature!
Great place for a walk in ottawa lots of trees and flowers in early spring
One of the best spots in Ottawa to get outdoors and go for a walk. Right by Dows lake, the experimental farm and Carleton University. ????????????
Beautiful place to enjoy a peaceful relaxing moment or two. Also a great place to walk your dog or friend.
Walking paths everywhere. Inhale the fresh air from all the greenery. Very enjoyable time spent here. Only issue is that free parking is at a premium. You have to hunt to find a free parking spot among the grounds.
Very pretty and accessible. I recommend everyone view it at least once. Walk, bike, or drive every trip is an adventure.
Beautiful and peaceful place in the middle of the city. Near the water around Dow's lake, however if you are getting there by car, parking is a little difficult to manage.
Nice and peaceful place. Kids loved driving their scooters there.
Always the nice relaxed place for long walk and kid's activities.
Beautiful piece of nature in the middle of the city!
Lovely place. Hard to find parking.
Beautiful wood and plant filled park. Excellent walking, running or biking area
Great place for walking dogs or picnicing. Not too many benches, so have to plan where you are walking if you are someone who needs to sit down frequently
Beautiful park with lots of green space for hanging around or playing some out door games.
Quite literally one of my favourite places in Ottawa. There are miles of paths to explore. Everything is kept immaculate. It’s filled with numerous species of plants and trees. I’d argue that if it grows in our climate, you can find it here. It also connects you with numerous other attractions, such as Dows Lake and the Central Experimental Farm - both of which are also worth a visit. I’d urge you to spend an evening here taking in nature in the middle of the city. It’s an experience you won’t soon forget.
Peaceful. Nice trees. A breath of fresh air in the middle of the city. I go there many times in the summer. It's relaxing and you don't hear any traffic. Perfect for picnics
Beautiful walking path and scenery. Great place for a stroll or picnic!
Beautiful place for walking, biking and jogging. It's the perfect spot to clear your head. Parking is limited.
Great place to walk and it by yourself or with friends.
Great place to go for a walk, hang out, have a picnic.
Great place for a walk or sledding. Parking can be a challenge as it fills up quickly. Bathrooms near the parking are always very helpful with kids.
Very beautiful! My grandmother has a bench there. Very nice memorial to go see her.
Lovely park for walking and photos. Tons of parking.
Love the arboretum for relaxed days with my family. Good place to take my dogs for a walk or a bike ride too. Plenty of wildlife if you know where to look for it. Few trash bins, limited parking, and lots of off leash dogs are the main drawbacks.
Great green space with so many magnificent old trees!
Beautiful park lots of nice pathways to walk on :)
The most beautiful, peaceful place in ottawa. Great for walks and pictures
One of the best places to just set up and relax for a day under the trees.
Great place to walk, enjoy and explore. Take your time. Lots of parking near buildings.
A beautiful day and everything is so green ????
Great place for the family or alone. So peaceful and beautiful.
Love this place for walks with the dogs. Technically not an off leash dog park, but if your pooches are well behaved it is tolerated.
A nice walk, scenery is lovely..not super interesting if you are a plant nerd
Such a beautiful place to have a picnic and be outside. One of my favourite places in Ottawa.
Great place to just spend time with nature.
It's a great place to visit with family and friends. You can get down on the snowy slopes or skate on the canal. I took my dog along and he had a lot of fun too. Dogs are allowed with a leash although most people were enjoying with their dogs without it.
Beautiful place to relax after a long bike ride, hung out on a bench for a drink and some relaxing before heading back on the bike
Beautiful park to walk, jog, bike ride and bring kids, family, date during the summer.
Super gorgeous green space in Ottawa (there arent many here). I went for my birthday and it was so nice to be able to do something for my second lockdown birthday (where virtually everything is closed). The space is maintained very well and there was not a piece of litter on the ground. People were distancing for the most part, some odd people here and there entered other peoples personal bubble despite the mass open space. And although masks arent required outdoors it is nerve wracking when people are walking around without one. It's one thing if there is no one around or very distanced away but if you're crossing paths with people it is appreciated to place it on until you exit their space. One little thing, it would be nice if some of the info plaques on the trees were replaced since they are worn down. And perhaps placing them out in front instead of attached on the tree. The bush and leaves prevents people from reading it. A stand up plaque in front of the trees may help people with low vision and accessibility issues to read it. Overall though, its an amazing nature area nestled centrally within the city right by dows lake and with minimal noise pollution. A great choice for relaxation like picnics (once that's allowed again), studying, bird watching. As well as a gorgeous setting for photoshoots like weddings, pregnancy and modeling shoots, just be considerate of photographers and people doing these (ex: staying out of the frame, walking around the space being used)
Spacious, easy to distance, tons of trees, and good walking paths
Great park in an urban environment
Lovely park with lots of trees. Here for a family photo shoot.
OMG! What an amazing place to rest and relax. It's absolutely beautiful here. Guys....it's a magical place to take romantic walks with women. They've all loved it.
Everything about this place is breathtaking. Enjoy the summer, everyone!
Just a beautiful place along the water.
Our favorite go to for a lovely walk, meeting up with friends and playing pokemon go!
Lovely place to visit in fall weather.
The hill is perfect for tobogganing in the winter!
There's no point opening up places but not the washrooms. Have porta potties or use at your own risk washrooms. Stores have their washrooms available
Love the fragrance of lawn and the magnolia trees. It's a very good venue for a promenade and jogging.
Beautiful trees n views
Beautiful place to go quiet you could walk your dog
What a wonderful place for a summer stroll. Between tall trees there is a nice shaded path that is nice and quiet and free from cyclists. There are lots of little benches that can be found in most random places so you can always find a secluded place to sit down and rest. Arboretum is also great as you can learn more about different trees and vegetation.
Such a great place to go for a little walk around and a picnic.
Went there a couple of times with my German Shepherd puppy (4 mths). Lots of people out walking their dogs which gives my puppy a chance to socialize with dogs and their owners. Early in the day, it's been so hot!
Great place to walk around with the dog! Parking was easy.
A great place for a beautiful walk. Mostly accessible for a wheelchair, but quite the uphill push to get back to the parking lot.
Beautiful spot for a socially distanced walk. Great spot to view some nature within the city. You can walk around and explore the trees...many of which have tags so that you can learn tje species or walk down to the water by dows lake. Lots of trails and space. Great for picnics or a game of frisbee too.
Amazing place to take your dog, your family or just go by yourself to enjoy the beautiful scenery
Great for a walk, or to sit for a visit. I love that the trees are labeled so you can find out what type they are
Wonderful place for summer. Huge open land with trees and flowers. Could hold any outdoor activities.
Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. Absolutely family friendly, convenient in a wonderful location and once more, GORGEOUS!
Peaceful and quiet. Nice views of Ottawa.
An Amazingly beautiful place to spend time !!! The Landscape and wild life is simply breathtaking!!!
A beautiful park full of nature to explore and trails to walk and bike. The Fall colors during this time are splendid!
Always the nice relaxed place for long walk and kid's activities.
One of the most scenic place in ottawa!!!
Beautiful arboretum. Botanical garden which includes wild roses. Love this place.
Beautiful place to walk and great variety of trees to look at
Just love going for a walk here. Have already had a few evening strolls here while social distancing.
Beautiful place. Fletcher conservation area has many spots for butterflies, fish and birds. Gorgeous walk along Rideau canal. My favourite park in Ottawa. Great place for a picnic.
Just beautiful !
Loved it! Great place for a picnic!
Beautiful spot to walk and very clean! Some neat flowers and trees
Absolutely wonderful place for a long walk or to walk your dog
Incredible scenery, so much area to cover, perfect place for a picnic.
Nice place to take a walk and observe colored trees in the fall. Close to dowslake where you can rent kayaks/hydropedals in the summer, or icekate in the winter
One of the most beautiful parks in Ottawa. If you catch the cherry blossoms in the spring, you will not be a disappointed. The gorgeous pink and white flowers are a sight to see. This is definitely an extremely picture-esque spot to get that perfect Instagram photo. It's also a great spot to put down an blanket and have a picnic, or take your dog for a walk (on leash). One issue however is that the public bathroom here is gross and does not have toilet paper most times. The city should really maintain it better. More garbage bins on the premises would also be great so that you don't have to carry your garbage with you for a long time before finding one. A map of the area at the entrances would also make it easier to navigate the huge park.
Beautiful place to take a walk. Lots of trails, great spots to sit and relax
Lovely place for a walk or to bring your dog. Lots of amazing trees and a view of Dow's Lake and the canal.
in my home city! I had no idea! what a nice place to bike or walk and check out some wickedly awesome Canadian trees and flowers! I thought trees this big were only out west. I think it would take 4 grown adults linking arms to get around the biggest one there. love it. go check it out if you like nature.
Well kept grounds. Lovely place to see different trees and watch for birds. Watch for cyclists.
This place is a Jem in Ottawa.Backed by the Rideau canal system, and surrounded with a majestical escapement of rolling streams and impressive trees.A nature lovers paradise, minutes from downtown.A must see place. And best of all,it's free with plenty of parking space available.Great area to walk a dog or simply take a stroll throughout the surroundings.
Beautiful place to enjoy with your family, significant other or to walk your dog. Best visit during weekdays but it's so big it's never crowded
I gotta say I love this spot, lots of space to enjoy yourself without being over crowded no matter how many people are there! It would be a 5 star rating but there is little to no parking.
Lovely walk through the Arboretum. Most of the leaves have fallen now & lots of berries on some of the tress. Food for the birds this winter. You can stroll along the Rideau Canal towards Dows Lake.
Amazing tulip festival
Nice peaceful place. It is also a place where geese congregate. So look out for them and their... Leftovers. Be careful during wasp season. They are almost everywhere and can interrupt your picnic. The views are excellent. There are bike paths. The parking was a bit packed, but you may be able to find some at the experimental farm.
This is hands down the most beautiful park in Ottawa! I highly recommend it.
This park have beautiful magnolia flowers bloom in spring, around mid April.
Beautiful location, would recommend you visit if you are looking for a place to walk around or even have a little picnic.
Beautiful parkland, spacious
Enjoyed a picnic with some friends and family. Area was nice and clean!
I went with my husband and my close friend, and it was a truly memorable day. Even though I wasn't physically well at the time, the atmosphere of the environment here made me forget that and I felt totally enveloped in the loveliness of the trees and the dreamlike landscape. It is the gem of Ottawa, at least to me! It is interesting to visit the natural areas such as this on the Ontario side of the river as well as the green spaces on the Quebec side, like the vast Gatineau Park.
Great for walking and see the nature and locks right in town.
The perfect place for pictures, picnics, meditation, running, walking or cycling. Definitely of the nicest spots Ottawa has to offer. Beautifully nested along the canal, offering numerous paths amongst gorgeous trees. There isn't too much parking available, so plan accordingly, or better yet bike there.
Lovely walks, not too crowded. Lots of dogs
Beautiful expansive area for everything. Right off of canal, open area to walk, walk dogs, look at nature( ponds, lil bridges, sitting areas) etc... On the other side is Dows Lake where you can enjoy all sort of aquatic activities. Winter, for skating.
A museum of trees! I saw Viking Trees for Norway. Nice little science experiment seeing what will grow in this Canadian climate. Be sure to read all the plaque and see the visitor's centre!
Great place for walking, having a picnic and just enjoying all the beautiful trees
Great place to walk, bike or run or just take your dog for a walk..been coming here for ever.
Been here several times for the Tulip festival and a lot more ever since i moved closer to it. Beautiful place in the fall, spring, and summer.
Nice walk close to downtown, lots of activities, close to food favorites like Dirienzos. All around great park for sporting, walks, museum (experimental) or whatever.
Nice to walk, limited parking could be more...has a lot if space
Great place to spend an Intermountain.take a Walk, have a picnic, spend time with your family. The Arboretum is near and dear to my wife and I as this is where we had our wedding photos taken last year!
Beautiful. Every city should have a place like this!
Lovely place to go for a walk with the family.
This place is great for kids and adults. We had our photos taken here and it was spectacular.
Enjoy the botanical plant and beautiful walk!
One of the beautiful parks in Ottawa! A place I love to go to in the springtime. Great for walks, hikes and biking, picnics and relaxations. Great weather makes it a plus! Beautiful scenery Dow’s lake. Nice place to explore after canoeing or kayaking.
Nice area filled with lots of birds or trees. Great place to walk, run, cycle and also have a picnic.
A great place to hike or bicycle with many green trails(some along the water & hilly) in Ottawa..
A really nice outdoor space with lots of trees labeled for learning and good places to sit down.
If you have not been then go here. If you have then go again. It is truly wonderful part of Ottawa. Make sure to not follow the paths - just walk randomly, look at the amazing trees and take note that many are labeled, donated or dedicated. Absolutely beautiful.
We had a great time in the Arboretum with our Corgi despite it being a rainy day
Nice views all around when you're up on the high point. I will definitely come back during the Fall.
Nice place to relax with family. Wish if you can do bbq and grill there.
It's a great big park with a lot of beautiful old trees. The views, the trails, the plants are all of great interest. And labelled!
Great view of the international firework on Wednesdays and Saturdays in August of 2016. Here are some photos from Wednesday evening 11th August.
Nature at its best, definitely visit again, parking was a bit of an issue...
Great place to take a walk on a sunny day with your wife and sonand his family.
Beautiful section of the NCC owned Experimental Farm. We went tobogganing on these hills as kids.
This is a great park. There are a lot of labelled trees and paved trails.
Beautiful place to walk around and hear the sound of nature
By far one of the most beautiful places that are used for some sort of research I have seen. So many people walk their animals there. The variety of trees is amazing and most of all it is free to go visit. Only downside is parking is limited especially on nice days.
Good falls colors ..Covered in large area.
