This Zoo corresponds to the category of Tourist attraction.
I did my reservation in advance, Drove to this place 1.5 hour with lots of expections and they had nothing as they claim. We were group of 5 and not even a single size available for skates. Such a disappointed experience, even when you call it goes to automated voicemail, so there's no possible way to communicate even you had reservation.
Went ice skating here for the first time and it was absolute wonderful! The paths are well structured, however I did not have time to try out tubing and other activities the location had to offer. **countryside adventures has implemented strict and reasonable rules to keep its customers and staff safe during this pandemic**
Great outdoor activity...
We were visiting family in the Cornwall area and went for a skate on the trail. Our hockey-playing daughter was so excited to go and loved every minute of it (and it was -23 outside!). The condition of the trail/ice was extremely good (better than most outdoor rinks!). The fries at the chip truck were delicious and the service from everyone there was amazing! Thank you! We look forward to visiting again! You will not regret going.
What a gem this place is! Great skating, awesome atmosphere by the fire.
Wonderful experience. The ice is in great shape, great poutine and lots of space outside to sit around the campfires. And warm bathrooms too!
Great skating through the trees, little bumpy in areas but nothing bad. Having the trail lit up at night would be cool but having the headlamps was helpful enough to see the trail. Will definitely be back.
Very nice family outdoor activity, nice food truck, bonfire and animal farm. Good skating conditions, affordable price.
Disappointing and unhelpful customer service. Did my reservation in advance. Such a slap in the face if you drive 2 hour to this place and nothing is available as they claim. They don't respect the reservation and upon that they were been sarcastic and fooling you around. I don't personally recommend this place.????????????????????
If you are looking for a place where you can enjoy nature while benefiting from peace and quiet. This is the place. The staff is extremely friendly.
Overall very nice, especially the skating trails.
Very fun place. Food truck, fire pit, farm animals, little slope for kids to slide, everything accessible in skates.
Such a fun place to go summer or winter!
Very scenic. Great winter outdoor activity! Skating through woods.
So peaceful and beautiful. Well set up with great social Distancing. Lots of room to move. Fire ???? and lights at night are beautiful and relaxing!!
We went in a warm sunny day in August 2021. Great place to get outdoors with the family. Lots of water activities to choose from. Chip truck on site for hot food and cold drinks. Picnic tables and toilets available. Wagon ride provided to the beach and back. Fishing equipment available. Life jackets available for boating activities. Bring sunscreen.
Great place to go with friends or family! The lights along the skating path at night make it an amazing experience.
First time visiting, and won't be the last. Fun time swimming and fishing.
We really enjoyed our skating outing at Countryside! Here are the highlights: -trail is long enough for a good skate but divided into shorter loops -child- and adult-sized skating supports are provided -the food truck is skate-up (or walk-up) and picnic tables are arranged on the ice for a fun picnic -the ice is very well maintained, even in warm-ish weather -good food truck fare at reasonable prices Unfortunately, there wasn't enough snow for tubing or snowshoeing, and the snowshoe trail isn't maintained for winter walking instead (we tried...) I'd also encourage Countryside to offer outdoor ticketing or a quick-access gate instead of filtering everyone through the arrivals trailer. It got a bit crowded at one point. Also, some of the staff had their masks sort-of on, which needs to be addressed.
Fairy lights , skating in the woods, warm beverages and food from a food truck, bon fire and fresh snow made it a wonderful experience for us.
Countryside offered fun and safe activity. Skating through the forest after dark was magical. I'm looking forward to going in the day time as well.
Really nice trail! I'll be back for sure. However was disappointed that even when the snow was melting in many places we still had to pay full price.
We had an amazing (and safe) day at Countryside Adventures. The policies in place helped us feel safe and socially distant. The ice was well maintained; it was incredibly beautiful skating through the woods. We also did the snowshoeing trail. Highly recommended the all access pass for a fun-filled afternoon.
Was a beautiful experience. Especially at night. Just gorgeous.
I went to paddle boat nice and relaxing enjoyable quiet place and good little trail they have to paddle boat there more activities to enjoy check them out
Such a AWSOME place to go:))
Very family friendly. Sleds and Skate Trainers all available for use (free) on a first come first serve basis. Trail was beautiful, ice in good shape but bumpy in spots like a pond. All different skill levels of skaters so it is very comfortable. We had a toddler and a baby in a stroller and never felt we were holding things up. Food truck and bonfires were a perfect end to the trip.
I loved it!!! There were some rough patches, but mostly it was a fun experience. The staff were friendly and courteous. I definitely recommend this activity!!!
So much fun to skate through the woods on a beautiful day. Check it out with the fam!
Was good fun for the family nice easy 3km skate trail. Could use some work on the registration process, to many people in a small area trying to enter at 1 time. They also need to focus on flooding the ice nightly. Kids liked it, and we will likely return again this year.
This was a great place to spend half a day! I went with my two kids and we skated the entire loop. It is beautiful and very well maintained. Even early in the season with a few bumpy patches it was still very skatable and enjoyable. My kids are new skaters so we went slow and it took us about an hour. We had french fries and hot chocolate from their food truck around the campfire afterwards. I even got our skates sharpened while we ate (for a small fee, but it was so convenient!). This place is well worth the drive and money. Excellent value and felt very covid safe (easy to spread out, all outdoors, masks required in bathrooms and ticket area).
Wonderful! Excellent skating surface, really well maintained even when snowing. Like a fairytale trails in winter wonder!! We need to come more often! ! Great workout!!
Took my daughters and their boyfriends along with my youngest daughter. Had a fantastic day. They drove us to the water, it was so much fun. I wish there had been maybe some beach chairs to lounge in but otherwise, a fantastic day was had by all
Beautiful spot, great place to go for a family skate!
Wonderful experience, COVID safe protocols and a beautiful, scenic trail.
Good facility. Narrow paths though, which should have been flooded and in better condition.
The ice wasn't great for skating, very mushy throughout the entire way. Great idea, but you would think they would close due to the conditions of the ice. Especially, if they would like repeat business. I found the skate rentals high, ten dollars per person. Petting zoo very small with standing water along the front of the fenced in area of the goat. Children don't know any better. I worried about the contents of the puddle. The bonfire was nicely set up with a hill the children went sliding on. I didn't buy anything from the snack wagon. The staff wasn't very friendly it was business as usual. My experience wasn't what, I expected.
Coolest place I've been in a while. Great concept. A little crowded though.
Nice little place to go for an afternoon of skating.
We enjoyed our fishing! The fish were harder to catch than we anticipated but it was fun. We left with one 3 pounder. Nice place to go if you don't fish and want an easy activity with kids. We fish regularly but will come back once in a while to give our little guy the opportunity to catch larger fish. We've also attended in the winter months and really enjoyed the skating trail!
Lots of trails, nicely lit at night. Food truck and fire pit both add a nice touch. Ice was a bit rough but will be good after one more flood.
Clean and friendly swimming hole reminiscent to the ones in my childhood> Everyone was kind and efficient.
Great place to bring the family for some outdoor activities and fresh air!
This place is extreme. It's skating, but in a forest. The trail is extremely fun and full of dips and turns. Then if that's not intense enough, you can skate till 10pm in the complete dark (headlamps are optional). The scenery is beautiful, and the ice is so we'll maintained. I don't understand how they make this perfect skating path through the woods and up and down slopes. But they did, and I definitely plan on going back.
Great time. Decent amenities, but the ice track is the real strand out. Skate rentals available. Good for all ages. Expect to spend 1:30 - 2 hours here
Great skate within the forest. Sometimes a little rough but you should expect that though.
A fun place to go skating in the woods. The trail is well groomed and the ice was well maintained (with the occasional bumpy or less than ideal ice patches well marked). Near the main entrance there is a food truck, a bonfire area, a small sliding hill for the kids, and some farm animals in a little fenced area. The price was $12 per adult (and a little less for kids). The place is cash only, but there is an ATM on site. My only complaints are that a few more trails would be nice, and the views are a bit sparse without many evergreen type trees (except in one short section). There is also one kind of odd section where you skate through an open area that looks a bit like a gravel pit with a backhoe parked in the middle. It kind of ruins the illusion of skating through the woods when you do cross through this area. My understanding is that the place has only been opened for a couple years. All in all, it offers a pretty fun outing, but has the potential for an even better experience by adding a few more trails and planting some more evergreens along the trail. Regardless of these issues, Countryside Adventures is still well worth checking out.
Very quiet and fun for all family members
Awesome. Ice was wonderful and well groomed, making the trails a great experience. Hope the weather cooperates so we can get in more trips this season.
First year of summer activities fishing, paddle boarding, hiking trails. Good safe fun with more to come.
The lady at the counter was very rude and did not understand customer service. Also the website and what rules are needed are completely different. You want a receipt, good luck with that. I asked for one may times and she would not give me one. So of this is a company outing then good luck getting reimbursed for the cost of skating. The pictures below are of one of the trails however closed it was not well marked. All that was put was a small cone that you can buy at the dollar store, it was only placed there after we left that trail. And the cone looked like it was covering up a hole not marking the closure of a trail. The rental skates where sharp however the back of the skate was bent out of place giving me little to no ankle support. My legs hurt for 2 days after. But that may have been Unrelated. I would however like to thank the woman's son he was very kind and helpful offering me a full refund and a free skate. On the topic of refunds they are impossible, short and simple watched a lady try and get one and she was refused. The only way I get one was to fight for one. Thanks for reading, happy holidays
Always a great place for a day out with the family as well as a romantic hot spot for couples. The ice was smooth as usual and the tubing hill is good for kids too. All in all, always a fun time!
Nicer than ever
We took our kids here for the morning and it was excellent. It was well set up and was just an awesome experience for the kids. With families always looking for things to do around Ottawa, this is one activity that I would highly recommend. We will definitely be back.
Beautiful place. My family and I really enjoyed skating in the bush, nice experience. Prices were very reasonable, you can stay all day if desired.
Pleasant experience. Only fault was an extremely long line for food.
Friendly staff, and an amazing trail through beautiful woods. Will be back for sure.
We did Axe Throwing and Archery. The guys are friendly, the area is open with lots of seating, the structures are well made and the food truck was an added bit of fun.
Well set up....friendly staff....affordable. my kids loved this and we will deinitely be going back
A little pricy, but a great place to bring the family for a skate. The ice conditions were excellent considering it was -1 and sunny. The lights around the trail were not only useful for keeping track of where to go, they added a nice ambience for evening skating.
Beautiful place
Absolutely fantastic! Great outdoor skating experience!
Perfect famioy fun outing!
Tubing Hill was not too busy when we went and probably the perfect height when you're pulling your kid up. The food was reasonably priced, and there were lots of benches to sit on to eat or put your skates on. We didn't go on the skating trail but there were lots of bars for both adults and children to use. Change rooms currently closed due to covid.
Lovely trail in the woods
For the cost it wasn't worth it. Out of 10 of us no trout were caught and we were given barely a handful of worms so for 200$ i will never return
Great family outting. Great ice trails.
Affordable and such great outdoor fun! Well maintained trails with a cozy atmosphere
We had a great experience today. Online reservation was simple, check in was smooth and covid-friendly. Lots of space outside on the ice, by the fire, at the food truck, etc... The ice was well maintained and was a lot of fun for the youngest and oldest members of my household (3 to 78). We will be going back soon and have told many of our friends about our experience today. Thank you for the experience. (4 out of 5 only because due to snow levels only the skating was available. Can't wait to let the kids try the tubing, and to go walking/snow shoeing)
Really amazing job with the trails and setup...Felt bad for the animals though...wish they had straw for bedding and hay to eat when their not being fed pellets from customers...
Fun day with the family. The staff are all very welcoming and super friendly. Well worth the drive from Montreal for a day of skating and sliding. Food truck was also good. and the prices at the food truck were very reasonable.
This place is awesome, easy drive to get there! They keep adding more "trails" which is really nice. Its peaceful too!
Amazing skating trail that is well maintained. Not too busy. Loved the ;light along the pathway was super cool when it got darker
Truly amazing for all ages. The staff are friendly and patient. We had taken a trip during the day as well as later in the evening to enjoy the lights throughout the ice trail in the forest.
This place is a real treat. Skating and tobing for all ages all for about 15$. Skating around in a country setting beats a rink anytime.
This was a fun family outing, the ice was well maintained. It was not to crowded it was a fun covid activity.
The place should have shut down today. The ice was really soft and almost impossible to skate on.
Friendly, skating trails were well maintained and good food
Not bad the ice was ok a few bad parts they didn't flood it the night before and the hill was closed. The food there is not very good. If you are going to eat have the poutine or Moose ears(beavertail). The hamburger ingredients were fresh but not sure about the meat.
Great little spot for skating through the forest. Skate rentals available, just a heads up the skates are shorter than standard skates so they did dig into my shins and ankles, not sure if higher socks would have made much of a difference. Beautiful spot, nice little fire and cute little snack truck accessible even by skates!
Our toddler was bitten by the rabbits at the petting/feeding zoo section and we lost the whole day trying to stop the bleeding and calm his nerves. My spouse and I rushed our little guy to the front desk for first aid and a young staff member helped us with bandages. He commented that this was the second child to be bitten and cause extensive bleeding from the rabbits that day. The cut bleed through the bandages and we left resorting to wrapping it with paper towel after paper towel to slow it down. The lady at the cash commented "you signed the waiver." Her help when we arrived earlier was equal to her interest in our son's well-being. Several hours later, a doctor at the hospital had him treated and patched up. Otherwise our experience would have been fine. They had characters from Paw Patrol dancing to music. The skating area was nice, and the atmosphere was picturesque. Unfortunately, the staff commented that the rabbits were already biting children and didn't take steps to correct that. We also got no reassurance that they cared beyond cleaning up the blood. I can see the potential but we won't be going back.
Great place to spend quality family time! Spot is beautiful and staff is always nice.
Great place went there with my family We caught 3 nice trout of 2.2 pound each! Nice size fish.Great owners! Thanks Countryside! We will be back this is the only close place to catch nice trout!
The rabbits are fantastic! Great place for a day outside!
Cute beach, the kids loved the archery. Having a chip stand there is a great idea! We rented boats for the beach as well the kids loved it!
Beautiful countryside, well maintained skating areas. Good safety protocols, lots of space. We had a great time!
it's so beautiful at night with all the lights. i got to go back during the day to see the lake and nature.
Great place to hang out and go for a swim . Great food and a great price too. Very friendly staff
Our new favorite family getaway spot! Amazing staff, reasonable prices, and always something new to try! We love Countryside Adventures!
This place is really good. We went to snow tubing which is not too high though but we had alot of fun. There is a ice skating trail that my son enjoyed since it went all the way to forest. Rental equipments are readily available and I love that they have ( dont know the name) something that small kids can hold and practice their skating. It's good for the beginners. We also tried their food truck that has just poutine, fries, coffee and tea. Their poutine is really good especially when you eat it around fire pits. Overall we had good experience for a small short trip.
Great place 100% recommend
Was a pleasant experience!
Love skating in the woods! Very friendly staff! I've been twice and recommend trying it!
Was a great place for my 6 year old to try kayaking for first time! Calm water. My 4 year old son loved the beach, brought him some sand toys.
Not what I expected at all. It's not very inviting. There are no arrows pointing you to where you should go as the main offices are taped off. Not what I expected at all. I'd say it's more of a fish breeding area. Or fun for a kid to drop a line in.

I was surprised my 4 year old daughter made it through the whole loop. She used bob skates once a few years ago. This was her first time on real skates(rented). The key was having the the training supports they provide. I would give 5 star if when we got there we didn't have to track down the device that helped her so much.
First time visiting, and won't be the last. Fun time swimming and fishing.
There is no zero star but seriously the stars are not their to judge someone but just start keeping records of all the inventory and update it on your site because you have enough space for customers but you don’t have ice skates to provide them.
We had a great time there .night skating is lots of fun .thank u
Great ice and efficient system to get in with social distancing. Was quite busy with young children not respecting social distancing.
Such a great place to get outside in the winter! Can’t wait to go again next winter! Loved it!
Wonderful place! My girls and I enjoyed tubing, skating and snowshoeing! After we had fries and Moose Ears from the food truck. Friendly and helpful staff as well. We had a great time and will definitely be back!
Love coming here in the winter time to skate on the trails, and haven been loving coming this summer for the trout pond! Always friendly staff and great atmosphere.
Kid had fun friendly staff no complaints here
Lots of fun for the whole family well kept forest skating path. Food available on site. Sit by the fire and enjoy your friends.
Very nice place!!!! We will go back for sure this year. Ice condition was awesome. Would recomend to everyone to go if you like ice skating, no matter what age or family size you are. Congratulations on the beautiful attraction.
Such a beautiful place and fun time! Day or night, they offer a really beautiful skating trail.
What a great idea ....this was a fun outing and something different to do ......haven't skated in many years, lucky we were there on very quiet and sunny day so it was very enjoyable. Ice was a litte rough in some spots, but given the crazy weather we had it was in pretty good condition over all. We'll go again next year!
