This Zoo corresponds to the category of Zoo.
As an animal lover, I have always been fascinated with the zoo. I have been going to this particular zoo since I can remember seeing that I grew up in the area. I miss the old days simply because the animals seemed more lively and less catatonic or tranquilized. The beauty of it made up for it though. The pandas and some of the monkeys and the giraffes are worth the trip.
This Zoo has been proven to be one top Zoological Parks in the Country! It was a great experience for My Family and Me! My advice is to get here early! It gets crowded quickly!
Would have given a 5 star but the aquarium was the worst I had ever seen in my life which was the reason we went. And the trolley was 4 dollars a head for 1 way trip.

Loved this zoo. The animals were super close and interested in us. Enjoyed the Panda zookeeper chat the most.
I like the zoo, but the habitats for alit of the animals are too small and don't have a grazing area. So I feel sorry for these animals.
Always good time and on Tuesdays if you’re a resident of TN and have a valid ID you can get in for free after 2pm. You do have to pay for parking. But totally worth the experience

Who doesn’t love the zoo. The Memphis Zoo ranks as 1 of the best. The price of admission was reasonable, and so much to see. My favorite animals are the giraffes, rhinos, and of course the very dangerous hippo. So get out there and enjoy the wildlife before mankind drives them to extinction. We will only have the pictures of them to look at in the future, without change.

Fantastic zoo, really great selection of animals, good shows, and knowledgeable and friendly staff. A must visit when coming to Memphis, would be a supporting member of we lived closer. Easy to walk, easy to navigate, and it's expanding as well, so there's more coming.

The Memphis zoo has always been one of my favorites places to visit. Very friendly staff and beautiful animals
Very cool zoo with many rarely kept species. Extravagantly themed throughout. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone going through Memphis.

Memphis Zoo Lights were awesome. They have a dazzling array of all types from beginning to end. Must get tickets in advance on-line. Exercise and good fun. Bathrooms though, are very sparse inside. None outside the entrance or in the expansive parking area. Enjoy the entrance area lights and bubbly snow.
I made a special point of visiting this zoo specifically to see the panda’s and I’m so glad I did - what a wonderful zoo! The architecture is fantastic and each area is well designed and laid out, and styled to resemble particular parts of the world (Egypt, China etc) The animals all look well cared for and have excellent enclosures - it took us around 3 hours to explore the zoo completely and to ensure we sure all of the animals. The area surrounding the zoo is also a lovely space to take a nice relaxing walk in too, and there is an art gallery around 5 minutes walk away.
Pretty nice facility. We usually make our yearly visit right before it gets to hot outside. The animals appear to be well taken care of from what I can tell. Nothing like roaming free, but in good care. I think they still run a deal on Tuesdays. If you have a Shelby county I D, admission is free from 3pm to close. Even more reason to visit if you live in the city. You must pay for parking tho.

This zoo is so cool, we loved the pandas and the different habitats incorporate the regions the animals come from so well. Start early because you have a lot of ground to cover. I wish we would have began earlier so we could have seen everything. Only complaint is I wish that some of the aquatic animals had bigger aquariums to swim around more. We will definitely come back to see the rest our kids loved it and so did we ☺️
My family and I loved the Memphis Zoo. When we first drove up we were hesitant especially since they charged an additional $10 to park. Once we got inside it was an awesome zoo. The exhibits were well laid out, animals were active the zoo was clean. We had such a great time we bought the family season pass!
I love love LOVE the Memphis zoo. The layout is very nice, the staff are always friendly and eager to answer any questions you may have about the animals or their careers in general, it's definitely family oriented as there are rules in place to prevent smoking, drinking, etc. and overall it's just a nice place to be. There are lots of animals to see, including a new Hippo exhibit they just opened over the past few months, and there's almost always something going on no matter where you go in the zoo too, whether it's a feeding or a show or just a talk about the animals. The price of admission is fair too, and their memberships are definitely worth the price; even if you go just three times in an entire year, you've already saved money, not to mention the discounts you get at the food carts and gift shops. All in all, a great place, and if I lived closer I would go nearly every day.

We took our kids and in all honesty it wasn't that good. Half the animals weren't even out and the other half looked almost dead from heat exhaustion. Only 1 of the 4 rides we passed, by the farm animals, was running. And worst of all one of the tour drivers would get to close to people as they were driving by them. It could have been a lot better for the cost.

The Memphis Zoo is one of the best zoos that I have ever been to! They have so many interactive exhibits for kids, lots of indoor places to cool down in the summer, and the enclosures are so nice and spacious for the animals. This is a must if you are in the Memphis area!
Beautiful zoo! We were delighted with such a wonderful creatures, clean installations, you will not be disappoint about this place. Consider to have 3 hours or more to visit this zoo is big. We certainly come back!!!

It's very family friendly, with a wide variety of animals. Very clean and well maintained. It's always difficult to rate a zoo because realistically the enclosures are miles smaller than what their natural habitat would be. However, as a zoo, it is educational and clean and is as accommodating as it can be for both families and animals. I haven't posted many pictures because you should go and see it for yourself! It's a worthwhile experience.

Friendly staff. As reasonably priced as any larger zoo you will visit. Many attractions were closed this time of year but that is to be expected. The pandas are a must! We bought family season passes (even though we live out of state) as they were more reasonable than just a day pass.
It's beautiful and lots of animals from all across the world. Love it I will be there again

Fantastic zoo! Well themed and close encounters! I've never been so close to lions, cheetahs, giraffes, wolves and a porcupine! And the kids (and adults) can play in the water at the beginning and/or the splash pad near the wolves and bears!! So bring/wear swimsuits/change of clothes! Our 3.5 year old daughter said it was her favorite part besides the giraffes!! Great time for all ages!
Barely any animals out and they force little kids to wear a mask to go in doors was not worth the money its overpriced and you even gotta pay more just to look at kangaroos we already paid to see animals why do we have to pay more to see kangaroos if we actually got to pet and feed them that would be one thing but to just look at them not worth it. The pandas seemed depressed and dirty the rest of the animals you could see was either paceing with anxiety or laying down not moving looking sick. Go to the drive through safari park instead much better.
The zoo lights we went to was amazing. The soup bubble snow was really cool. My only problem was the loud music that was playing. I didn't mind it but I'm sure some of the animals did. They have a lot better hearing than we do.
This is a very good zoo with excellent exhibits and organization. The animal enclosures appear to be well maintained. I visited with my family on Easter weekend and the animals were out and enjoying the sun. The big cats were especially active as were the elephants and panda bears. I especially enjoyed the attention to detail in the structures in the China portion. Travel between exhibits was good and the was a team as well as a stream train available to ride. There were also camel rides and a carousel. Admission was reasonable $15 for adults and $10 for children, but admission is half the cost of you have a membership at the St. Louis zoo. Parking is somewhat limited and costs $5 so arrive early. There is food available, including a chicken and waffles stand shaped like a pagoda. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a playground for the kids and several gift shops. This is a good place to visit as part of a weekend trip to memphis.
We had an amazing time at the Memphis Zoo! We got to see the Zoo Lights and most of all the amazing animals! There were tons of people and tons of fun to be had. It's great to see that the mythical covid/flu hasn't trumped the human spirit!

I, being a Memphis Zoo membership card holder frequent here regularly and Usually I enjoy the experience from start to finish, however my last visit did not sit well with me. While showing my identification and member's card, like every week, the man in the ticket booth began to ask a series of questions I've never been asked before AND gave an explanation I've never heard before for his reasoning on why we could not enter. I immediately requested to see his manager, within seconds the issue was resolved and we entered.
Still hasn’t lost its charm! I’ve been coming to the Memphis Zoo since I was a toddler and now I get to bring my kids. Every year they are improving their attractions and adding new areas. It is definitely worth getting the membership if you’re bringing your family and plan to return within a year. I was sad to only catch one hippo this time but there was still so much to see. Even with the rain shower it was still an amazing stay. We plan on coming back to visit the new kangaroo exhibit really soon!
Fun place to visit. Not as large as other zoo's I've visited, but nonetheless, it's worth a stop.

Best zoo experience ever! Our new favorite! The panda zoo keepers made my 6 year olds dreams come true! Such wonderful people! Great exhibits and you get so much closer to the animals than other zoos! Lots of fun stores, stroller rentals, petting zoo, interactive exhibits and n aquarium. Beautiful landscaping and buildings...I just can't say enough good about this place!
Lots of animals other zoos don't have. Great experience, we can't wait to go back.
Alot of animals to see. A plus on the grizzly bears and polar bear. All in general a beautiful zoo. My family love it! And I have to say we have been to several in United States.

Best zoo I have ever been to! Amazing variety of animals and the zoo is designed in a way to make the animals more interactive. Plenty of sidewalk space and places to eat inside. For only $15, it's worth every penny
We had a great time at Zoo Lights this year! We got to see ???? and ????. My boys had a blast! The fake snow as you walk in helps put you in the holiday spirit! So many good photo opportunities for the whole family! I wish the train had been running like it did for Boo at the Zoo. My kids kept asking about it. They still had a fantastic time! First thing out of my 5 year olds mouth this morning, "Momma, I had fun at the zoo last night. Are we going back today?"
The Memphis Zoo is an attraction NOT to be missed! Some are discouraged by the ticket cost, but you have to remember that cost covers an entire day of educational entertainment. We recently attended Zoo Lights. It exceeded our expectations. The light display was beautiful! Couple that with the addition of a ferris wheel and ice skating rink and it made for a magical evening! The Memphis Zoo is an attraction NOT to be missed.
Went on a cooler day and still a lot of the big animals were not out and about. The pandas were no where to be seen and this was the main animal we wanted to see. The red panda exhibit was awesome though…it was like you were in the wild with them! Very cool!

So much bigger than we expected. We were there about 5 hours and didn't see everything with a toddler and 7 year old in tow. The panda exhibit is beautiful. My toddler loves the kangaroo walk! The giant panda Ya Ya looks suffering, all the looking are telling us she is not healthy, please stop lying. Get her the right treatment. If you can’t afford let us know, we have thousands panda lovers can donate. All we want is a healthy panda. And also stop telling people she is “special”! She is only been special mistreated by your zoo. If nothing you wanna do, Please send YaYa and LeLe home, their life won’t be much longer to keep suffering from the mistreated and the skin disease. So please please send them home.

Had a great time at the zoo! Definitely worth the trip and even though it was a very cool day we enjoyed the adventure. Wasn't ecstatic to find out they charged $5 for parking but seems about every place does now. As we arrived the entrance was larger than expected with many stone carved statues and Egyptian motifs. Was about $15 per ticket, moderate considering. Would be nice for family day packages like I've seen in other cities. As you enter it has a similar feel to many other parks, someone taking pictures and shops as you enter. The park itself felt well kept and was large. Lots of interesting animals and exhibits that changed throughout the different sections. Overall it was entertaining and we had a good time. One thing to note was there was an extra charge to enter where the sting rays were, $2 per person and more to feed them. Maybe necessary during busy periods but seemed a little unnecessary with how busy they were.

Like animals? Then the Memphis Zoo is for you. Housing all of the big cats gorillas and bears that you would expect and even a Chinese themed area with two wonderful pandas. They'll be several opportunities for you to interact with kangaroos, giraffes and maybe even take an elephant ride. It's a fun 4 hours or more depending on your pace. There's even a nice water area to let the little kids Splash around a cool off on a hot day.
Must visit place in Memphis. Definitely things to do in Memphis on a one day trip. If you have kids, they are going enjoy a lot looking at different animals and we elders will enjoy super happiness looking at the happy faces of children. Take an extra dress for kids to let them enjoy getting wet on waters. Appears like a 3 hour is good for a rushed visit if you have less time and a 4-5 hour should be a good time.
I love going to the zoo the Lego art is amazing and see all the different animals where great. I wouldn't recommend going in August during a heat wave. Otherwise the zoo was great.
This zoo is huge! There were options available for transportation through the zoo grounds so if you find yourself too tired at the end of it you have options back. Navagsting the park was easy with the map and the street style signs. This zoo has a large variety of bears including Panda bears, an aquarium house and a special nocturnal creatures house. It's definitely a place to return and explore again.

A nice place to visit with a variety of animals. If you live around the area, I recommend getting a yearly membership. There are also shows and events occurring every day. Great place to visit with family and/or friends. I really recommend bringing something cold to drink because it does take a while to go through the zoo and you’ll probably get tired.

Love this place! We took my daughter to celebrate her doing so well in school and we all had such a great time.
Everything was fantastic...except the bathrooms. They really should have staff there to perform an hourly bathroom check. Especially on high volume days. But the staff was phenomenal. All the exhibits we visited were super awesome. The trolly train was down. That was definitely a buzz kill. But we talked and walked it off. We really did enjoy our evening at ZOOBOO!
We had such an amazing experience at the Memphis Zoo! The animals were extra special and so excited while we were there! We got all types of wonderful videos and pictures. Aquarium was disappointing, not very big. The rest was great though!
My husband and I stop by the Memphis zoo on our way to the Great Smoky Mountain. We notice I the Panda exhibit LeLe and YaYa looked very unhealthy and depressed. They are not being taking care of. The bamboo they were giving are hollow and empty inside. We saw LeLe try to eat it and stop immediately after first bite. LeLe keep going near the door and look for food. When there is no food given she will just sit on the rock and look up. Another family notice she was crying. We were there for about half an hour and LeLe had done this about 4 times. She is simply hungry. There were wet and dry feces near her. She look very under weight and you can see it very clearly when she sit down that the skin on her stomach are very loose. Bald spot on her head, back, and many other spots. I was scared to look into her eyes. She is looks very sad and depressed. YaYa was laying down the whole time and have not been moving at all. My husband try to report this to the Zoo about the bamboo is empty and LeLe is not eating it. The receptionist ask a Zoo photographer to tell us LeLe is fine. We told them what we saw we just want the upper management to know what’s going on. The receptionist told us she have to close and ask if we stop harassing her. All we did was trying to tell her what we saw. She simply just don’t care. We explain to her that we just want the upper management to know the bamboo is empty and LeLe is not eating it. She end up call the customer service Manager Christ Lallo and a police officer. We explain to Christ we want no trouble and just want to let them know about what’s going on. They told us the Panda is just old. They had plenty of bamboo and we can contact marketing about this. I’m so confused I have to email zoo’s marketing to report a simple concern we have. Also, being old is not an reason for being mistreated. I attached a photo of the LeLe please help the Panda. Please someone help LeLe. I don’t know what I can do and all I know is this is not how we treat animals.

I think that this is one of my most favorite Zoo. I think that there is so much more though that over time they will fix/add to the Zoo to make it way more awesome. I found that one of my favorite exhibits was the one of the Gorrillas and as well of the Grizzly Bears. I find them so fascinating to study and see them not behind some form of barriers that prevent from seeing them in full view. I love how open the Zoo is, most of the time you will not find bars or glass obstructing your view of said animals. They also take great care of their animals. I have seen many places that they don't care to properly provide for the animals, but want to make sure the customers like the rides in the Zoo. I will definitely come back here and recommend this Zoo to anyone that I meet. Went there again and you know what??! There is so many more animals that are out now that it has started to warm up. Everyone will love it. The flowers are in bloom and the backdrop for your pictures are amazing since the grass and things are becoming luscious green. Definitely advice people to go and check out the Lego exhibits as well. Mind-blowingly awsome for how much time these people have put forth, for it to bring people happy thoughts as they see what another human has accomplished.
Beautifully laid out and some really lovely habitats. However, this zoo is pretty pricey to enter and then they nickel and dime you for everything. Bring your allowance, kids.
On the smaller side of zoos I've visited but very nice displays. If you go eRly you'll have the zoo pretty much to yourself.

Went On A Family Vacation With My Older Sister Her Oldest Daughter And My Niece's 4 Children Ages 13 , 8 , 6 , 4yrs. Of Age ! We Had A Blast ! The Memphis Zoo Was Amazing ! Great Time !
It's not a huge zoo, but it is so fun to visit. We have an annual pass and love that when we come to Memphis to shop we can see the whole zoo in 2-3 hours, but are able to see a lot of animals in that short amount of time and still run all of our errands. Also, there are so many great restaurants to choose from within miles of the zoo.

I have been to over a dozen zoos and this is for sure in the top three! Perhaps even number one depending on what you're looking for. It's not a very large Zoo but the environments for you to walk through while you get to see the animals are amazing. You really feel transported to the different locations. You also can get a lot closer to the animals than you can in most zoos.
The zoo had lots of animals, and the setup is very nice. Most of the enclosures seem very small. I did not like the fact that one of the pandas looked very sick. The panda looked absolutely horrible. Something really needs to be done for that poor baby.

Really pleasantly surprised. I went for Zootoberfest and had an absolute blast. The beer choices were great and the zoo is well laid out. There's quite a few fun activities to partake in (Sea Lion show, feeding Giraffes, stingray exhibit) and the animal selection is absolutely top notch. I will definitely be going back.

This zoo is absolutely beautiful. The animals are well taken care of. The whole park is very clean. They do a wonderful job of educating people about the various animals. My favorite exhibit was cat country. I love all the big cats and learning about them. There were plenty of restrooms and places to get a drink throughout the zoo.

We really enjoyed ourselves but with the cost to get in I don't think there should be extra cost to see the stingrays we didn't get to see them today which made me sad because we loved seeing them at the St.Louis zoo. My sister decided not told take her boy that they would enjoy something from the gift shop instead. I really wish i would have bought my son a shirt but the lines where crazy and he had to go the bathroom so maybe next time lol anyway he had a good time
We went during the Memphis Zoo Lights around 8 pm...we parked right in front of the zoo...We had no wait to get in....It was not crowded and it gave us time to see a lot of lights. Can't wait til next year's Lights...definitely will become a family tradition.
One of the best zoos in the country (google it and see). Always working to do major improvements in the animal habitats. Don't miss their events (Zoo Lights, Zoo Boo, Zoo Brew, Zoo Rendezvous, etc.), which are a lot of fun.

The Memphis Zoo was amazing. We have visited before, so knew what to expect. All the staff followed Covid-19 guidelines and remained masked all day, which was impressive. Indoor locations and for animal experiences the staff ensured that guests knew to wear their mask. We liked the online tracker of how many people were in the park. During the lunch time we did check and saw there there was over 800 people, and at times we felt it was hard to socially distance so we chose to keep our mask on while in the zoo. The KangarZoo: Outback Experience was a real treat. We enjoyed the quite and ease of just getting to watch and observe the kangaroos. Our only negative experience was the limited food venders and options. We went on a Friday while school is still in session so we understood that all food vendors might not be open. I just wish a sign would have been posted at the front gate of what vendors were open so I could have planned better when to stop for food, instead of doubling back through the park.
This was one of the best zoos!! For one its huge! We loved the themes each area had. It was very hot but they had multiple places that were covered, had trees that shaded places, fans and things spraying mist and indoor places. We had a blast! Can't wait to visit again
Very clean place. Will hold kids attention. Food shops and Drinks are available. Cool little displays set up. I suggest you go when it's cool outside so you can interact with the animals. It's a little pricey to accommodate the trip but it's well worth it. Please bring smaller kid a stroller they will be exhausted from the walk. They have limited supply of the red pulling wagons. Also offer a tour trolley ride for a small fee

This was an awesome zoo that had some new species that I haven't seen before. I really enjoyed the panda bears. The alligator was neat too. The exhibits are set up to get some nice photos of the animals. For me, feeding the sting rays is a must. That was definitely a highlight of the zoo. The seal show was very entertaining too. The food was excellent and quick service. The front has a fountain for kids to swim in. Definitely a must see zoo.
Great zoo! Lots of opportunities to view the animals. It was a very enjoyable experience!

The animal enclosures seem very small for some of the larger animals, some of the exhibits felt very dirty and outdated and overall this zoo is underwhelming for the price compared to other zoos we have visited. We respectfully will probably not be returning
It's a great little zoo. The only issue we had was parking, they don't do any sort of crowd count and will happily allow twice as many cars in than they have parking spaces. It was really bad. Basically drive around for 30 minutes waiting for someone to walk to their car and hope you beat everyone over to the spot. Once inside though it was great. My son had a blast, it was a fun afternoon. One thing that sorta stuck out though was they seemed to have a lot of solitary animals that would otherwise be living with their buddies in the wild. Over all though we'd happily go back and spend an afternoon there again.
Great destination. Very family friendly. Many things to do and you can see so many animals up close. Loved the fountain features for kids to play in and cool off. Be sure to pack extra clothes and a towel. Buy the tram ticket it really helps with getting around the park and you just hop on and off. My kids were to old for the camel ride but it looked fun. We really enjoyed the animal talk sessions so plan your day to catch as many as possible.
On Tuesdays from 2 to 5 pm it's free entrance for citizens of Tennessee. The zoo is big, it has a lot of animals and they have relatively a lot of space and things to do. It's a nice zoo. I took me 5h to see everything.

Please update your closed areas somewhere easily visible. My wife and I have been to Zoos all over the world and this one is now in our top 10. Outside of the weather(98 and crazy humid) our experience was excellent. The themed areas was interesting. The animals were all very active, seemed well taken care of and were easily visible. The zoo was not over stretched or over bloated with filler bird cages but still gave the animals plenty of living space. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We don't have children so we can't speak to the quality of the children's play areas but there were a few including a small play pool which was a first for us. If you're traveling through Memphis and have the time, stop in.

Great zoo. The updated, themed, animal habitats are great. A full days worth of fun activity for our family. No outside food allowed in. So either plan to eat or of your car at the few picnic tables around the edges of the parking lot, or but food inside. Would recommend.
Was a wonderful zoo. 10$ parking and I believe it was like 20 something per person to enter the zoo. It's good but the parking is my only thing. You'll be there almost all day so it's kinda worth it a lot of people park in nearby neighborhoods or in the further parking lot but just depends on how far you want to walk really.
This is a great zoo! Plenty of shade during our walk around the zoo. We were able to see every animal from multiple areas. Since we're relocating to the area we will become members. We will return. Very nice family day.

So much better than the little rock zoo that's for sure! It was extremely hot ???? out and when you enter the building exhibits you must wear a mask even if your vaccinated... I didn't like that you had to pay an extra amount to go into the stingray aquarium. The architecture and presentation is so nice here though. We will definitely come back in the fall when it's MUCH cooler.
Had a much better experience than the famous Omaha zoo. Not as big, but animals are easier to see and far less crowded. They are also one of the rare places that have pandas.
I've been to Zoo's around the world and this is the best one I've seen. The animals are well taken care of and this is the first place I've seen a night exhibit. My daughter and I had a blast! Also free on Tuesdays for children and military/veterans.
What a wonderful zoo! We missed a lot of the feedings and shows because we were just trying to see it all quickly, but we did hit up the penguin feeding and that was sooooo cool. The young lady answered lots of questions from kids and gave some truly interesting facts about their penguins. I loved loved loved this experience.

We went to the zoo lights. Save the green eel!!!! Poor guy look so unhappy. 2 stars Bc of care of animals. They really need funding. Good luck to you guys. He needs a way bigger tank there we other animal concern. Coffee shop at entrance was great and regular prices. Kids had fun.
Weekday
Had a great visit, even though it was cold. A lot of the exhibits were closed, either because it was winter, or for a private party. Showed up for the panda bear zoo keeper chat, but the zookeeper did not. Most of the creatures in the reptile exhibit were not labeled.
Great zoo! We lived in Maumelle AR at the moment and was definitely worth the drive. All the animals were very active and close for good viewing, a lot of walking which is good!

THIS PLACE WAS NICE I REALLY ENJOYED IT THERE.. MY FAMILY AND I WILL BE GOING BACK.. IT WAS EXTREMELY HOT, TAKE PLENTY OF FLUIDS.. TRUST ME YOU WILL NEED THEM.. Everyone was polite and the atmosphere was right...
The indecency of the workers at Memphis Zoo lights is ridiculous. After traveling a total of three hours, my friends and I were NOT let into the zoo due to “no available tickets”. I would personally like to speak to the owner and creator of zoo lights to discuss the relation between the importance of having a ticket as opposed to just paying to walk through. I want him/her to look me in the eyes and explain to me the difference between paying for a ticket, or paying the same amount of money to see the lights without a ticket. What could one piece of paper have all that much to do with my two feet walking under the lights. Besides the fact we were so rudely turned away, the worker let a family of 4 in without tickets before we were to the counter. We will never return and protest Memphis Zoo lights as long as we live!

Fantastic zoo, be aware that the only thing included with admission is admission. Extra for looking in the mirror twice… Very friendly staff and and great exhibits.
This place was so nice! They had so many different animals than ones I can see in St. Louis, Mo. That being said, I felt like some of the bathroom's could be updated. Overall great place to visit and bring kids!
We were in town to watch Mississippi State University play Texas Tech in the Liberty Bowl and got the chance to go to the Memphis Zoo and it was very nice! The animals were all happy and active! and certainly well taken care of! There were a lot of people but buying tickets and getting to see all the animals was very easy, because the zoo is laid out and run very well. We got to watch a polar bear dance! Panda eat and eat and eat fresh bamboo! Orangutan kid swing and jump and climb until his Mom came out and slowed him down... :) and the lights - oh my goodness did they have decorative lights everywhere! My wife, our 3 kids, our uncle Barry, and me all had a great time and I highly recommend the Memphis Zoo!
Memphis Zoo was amazing, we came from a city with an award winning zoo, but after the first loop of ~5 animals I felt the words escape my mouth "Even if that was the entire zoo, it would be worth the money," but it wasn't! We did visit near Thanksgiving, so we believe the crowds were smaller than usual and likely the animals were more lively as the temperature was in the 60s. It did rain on us but we were already nearly finished seeing it in it's entirety, in fact the rain caused us to sit in on the sea lion training. That is the only "show" we saw and with only that knowledge I would recommend being extremely prompt to it as they did start on time and it lasted 5-10 minutes, so don't run up 15 minutes after the show time expecting to catch some of it. Very beautiful, very worth the value. The highlights for me were the nocturnal animals and the hippos. This again may have been due to the rainy weather, but I appreciated being at eye level with the animals. The entire panda area is also amazing and likely what the zoo is best known for.
It is a amazing experience, the zoo has lot of aminals, birds and many more. It was very pleasant to see all various types of animal together. Must see attraction is ???? panda, you will lost your self when keep watching Panda... I really loved this Zoo. Must visit
Good place to hang out. Lots of different wild animals are available. We spend there about 2:30 hours.

Best zoo I've ever been to. So many animals I'd never seen before! We got there as soon as they opened, so we got right in. Perfect place to spend the day.
I’ve been to several zoos and this is by far my favorite. It’s large and shaded and clean. You can tell a lot of thought went into some of the areas. There is so much to see and do. Playgrounds, camel rides, stingray petting, water features to play in, feeding giraffes and birds, plus loads more.
The Memphis zoo is one of the very FEW beautiful zoos in the US. All their exhibits are themed and are well thought out. Every once and a while you'll run into an "interesting" staff members but its Memphis, there's a reason I moved away from there. Having said that tho when I go and visit Memphis, my family and I try to make a stop by the zoo cause its amazing. I've traveled around and its hard to beat this zoo.
Very ???? cool!! Love it!! Many of variety animals. Fun place to bring the kids!! The zoo staff is super freindly. Fun Fun

We had a wonderful time at the Memphis Zoo. The different areas are themed beautifully. My favorite was China. Overall, the zoo has a great ratio of sunny versus shady areas. Great variety of animals. Easy to get to!
Wonderful zoo with many exhibits. The animals are sad and bored, enclosures are too small. Needs a remodel.
This was the BEST zoo visit ever!! There's so many spots dedicated to all sorts of animals. Every face I seen was happy, kids laughing and playing! It had the BEST energy! The Lion roaring...omg...made it the best ever!!! I highly recommend!
Really nice zoo! We spent like 4hours here and believe we saw everything.
I wouldn’t waste another day here. I will say it’s not that expensive to get tickets. Half of the animal exhibits were empty. We would stand there, look around & wait for something to come out, & nothing. So your paying for only seeing some animals. Not all. You have to pay extra to do some things in the zoo. For instance, feeding the giraffes. I do feel some of the animal exhibits could be taken care of a lot better than what they seemed. The worst part was the pandas, they seemed so mentally depressed & unhappy. They are surrounded by nothing but concrete. Concrete floors & walls. No greenery anywhere. I don’t know if they are ever let out. They are isolated by themselves. Not with another panda. Their fur looked horrible & not groomed at all. I just felt completely horrible for them. THIS ZOO NEEDS TO SEND THEM BACK TO CHINA WHERE THEY CAN LIVE OUT THE REST OF THEIR LIFE IN PEACE & NOT CAPTIVATION. THIS ZOO SHOULD BE ASHAMED ON HOW THEY TREAT THEIR PANDAS.
One of the best zoos you can possibly visit. Any time I make it out to Memphis I try and go here. This last visit, they even had neat Lego animals on display. While it is always a great experience, it was made that much more special with that limited time addition. If you have around 4 hours to spend, this is the perfect place for you!
The zoo was great. We had only half a day to spend but we covered the whole zoo in about 3 to 4 hours. Went around 2:45pm and came out at 6:30 pm. If you can spend a whole day then you can participate in the zoo activites. The zoo also has pool stream for kids to have fun.
This zoo is a MUST SEE, if you are in the area! The animals are beautifully taken care of, and their keepers are extremely knowledgable!! I have never seen a healthier polar bear, and it came right up to the glass and swam around while we were at the exhibit! It was breathtaking! This zoo is the perfect size for a day trip. We took a million pictures and were able to get through the zoo in 5 hours, including lunch. Their pulled pork sandwich was very good, but food is high priced - as usual at a zoo! I would go to this zoo all the time if I lived near by! Entrance fee is very reasonable! We went on a week day and it wasn't busy at all, but school was in session!

Great zoo! $18 for an adult daily pass felt like a good value for all the animals they have! Walked through every exhibit in about 2 hours. The only downside was some animals were put away due to the cold weather
This zoo was awesome! The up close interaction you get is better than most zoo's we have been, and we have been to most of the top zoo's in the US. The reason they lost the star was because it seems as if this place is poorly managed. None of the staff seemed to know what was going on and at least three of the keeper talks were cancelled. Not only was it a major bummer planning around these talks to just have them not happen but what made it worse was no one came out to let you know so you just stand around waiting and waiting, what a waste of time. There were dozens of us each time. Walking and experiencing the exhibits was wonderful though and the price was very reasonable.

This was our first experience at the zoo. Best zoo we have been to. Very clean and well kept. There is a variety of animals to see. They have shows scheduled throughout the day. Spent about 4 hours here and did not see the whole zoo. Will definitely return
Always enjoy coming to this zoo! Not a long drive from home, my kids love the animals, plenty of animals to see, beautiful exibits, different restaurants to get food & an all around good day out for the family!
I LOVE the Memphis Zoo. Last visited in June 2021, and a few of the enclosures didn’t appear to be as maintained as I remembered them, BUT still worth the visit. Probably just slightly less maintained due to the pandemic this last year. Tons of animals to see. I would recommend visiting if you are in the area to support this wonderful place and the animals.
Wonderful Park!!! Enjoyed the shows. Need 2days to see it all. Extra to feed the giraffe but so worth it.

Love those red pandas. Perfect weather today Remember you need$5 cash for parking Just had a really good cheese burger and chicken nachos at rays. Right now they have a bunch of Lego animal sculptures throughout the zoo. The legos are awesome!
The Memphis zoo is one of the top zoos in the country. It was $15 each to get in, but it is worth it if you make a day out of it. The parking was $5. They have zoo memberships that are great if you like to visit frequently. They allow you to bring in food/coolers so you can picnic there or eat at their restaurant. Check their website for restrictions. The day we went was a great weather day. It was not too hot and most the animals were quite active.

Memphis Zoo was okay! Majority of the animals was tired, not a lot of the stores was open, and a few animals was not visible. I think it was to much money for not being able to see all the animals. But it may be better if the weather was sunny.. Not sure!

Wonderful zoo! We drove 8 hours to go here. It was our daughters dream to see Giant Pandas. All of our kids loved the entire zoo. So many animals to see. Rides are reasonably priced. We got there early and didn't have to stand in lines for anything. There is a wading pool at the entrance. We didn't know so our kids weren't in bathing suits, but we allowed then to get their feet in to cool off. After we left, the kids said it was the best day ever. Definitely worth the drive! I hope we can go again soon.
This is a pretty great zoo. My daughter loves that they have pandas. The bathrooms are usually clean and the exhibits are easy to access with a stroller. We have a family membership which makes visits more affordable. I only went with 4 stars because I have been spoiled by St. Louis and Omaha. St. Louis is free and Omaha is amazing.

I always love going to the Memphis Zoo this is probably my fifth or sixth time to go I love taking my children they really enjoyed the outing but you can never cover the entire Memphis Zoo in one day it's hard to even do it in two days. If I live closer I would probably get a season pass then we could go and work on one section at a time because it's most recent time we probably only got to see 20% of the Z we went to the panda exhibit and the cats and some of the birds and then the African exhibit.
I love the layout of the zoo and the attractions, but it lacks excitement there is nothing to make the kids excited, now wow factor's. The employees are dry no charisma only employees I encountered that that showed that was and older Tram driver he was very informative, and enthusiastic while interacting with us they just need to liven it up A little ???? overall it was just A zoo

My brother and I enjoyed it. First there is an option to pay a little more to do extra stuff in the zoo. I only saw this when we had already purchased the tickets and visiting the animals. Also can be a little pricy. However I feel like I got my money's worth. Plenty of animals to see. The keepers seem very knowledgeable about the animals. The seal show was very interesting. The zoo is also visual pleasing. I would recommend it.

Awesome experience. Cleanest zoo I've EVER been too! Smells good, practices social distancing. Lots of animals, and the zookeepers actually were available. Will be back.
This is an outstanding zoo. Besides the adorable pandas, the zoo has several other species that are rarely seen in other zoos. Just walking through the beautifully landscaped park is worth the price of admission. Although Animal Kingdom at Disney World is one of our favorite places, with its specific world areas that display the ecology of the area, not unlike Animal Kingdom, the Memphis Zoo is right up there in our estimation.

I love the zoo. It’s a great zoo with great things. But because they don’t answer the phone, and I had to call the gift shop in order to get someone to answer, and was told that ice-skating closes at 4:45. We drove 30 minutes here for my daughters bday party and arrived to be told that it “closes at 420“. Apparently the ladies who work here would like to go home a tad early. Very disappointing.

Difficult to get into due to popularity and older entrance on a smaller street. Parking comes with a $5 fee. Tennessee Tuesdays allows locals to enter for free in the afternoon which causes the location to become packed. One of the few Zoos in the US with Pandas on display. There's also an amazing exhibit with a Grizzly Bear and several injured Bald Eagles. There was also temporary Lego exhibit in July. Food and gifts are the typical Zoo fare. Some areas are under construction or low-staffed.
We went during the week so a lot of the concessions were closed which was kind of a bummer; almost worth the sacrifice though since there weren’t a lot of people. This zoo had so much to offer and was a great experience for our kids! I highly recommend a trip!!
The animal enclosures are very spacious and the animals look very well cared for. A nice variety of animals. Seeing the giant panda was a huge highlight for me. The animals on the merry go round are adorable.

I am sure had we come in the summer it would have been a 5 star experience, but it is fall and so much was closed. However, the Keeper Chats and the Sea Lion Show were wonderful. It's a lot of walking, but so worth it just to see the giant pandas!
Nice place, but for the price, there were a lot of animals NOT in their areas and you had to pay EXTRA money to FEED the camels AND to see the kangaroo
Wow! This zoo is HUGE! there are so many animals to see and learn about. The grounds themselves are massive. The most impressive part is the architecture. The buildings and grounds for the animals are detailed, unique, and large. The enclosures are all appropriate for the animals. There are many bathrooms that are very clean. There is playground; which my 2 year old loved. There is also a fountain we saw many kids and adults swimming in. Multiple restaurants and food stands on site. We enjoyed a Mempops which was a frozen fruit bar. It was delicious and well worth $4 on this hot afternoon. The carousel is fun for little ones and is 2 tickers per rider. Most of the attractions and stands close at 5pm but the grounds are open until 6pm. We are from Minnesota and have gone to multiple zoos on vacations and this one is the best we have seen so far! Highly recommend for out of state visitors.
It was very hot but we enjoyed our family outing.

My family and I were visiting Memphis for the weekend. We have a 4 year old son and I'm well into my pregnancy, so we decided to go first thing in the morning when they opened. Of course there were the obvious benefits like the cooler weather and if you didn't have prepaid tickets the lines were incredible short (especially over a holiday weekend - we went over Labor Day weekend). Tickets were well priced for the type of zoo it was. It offered a lot in the way of exhibits and amenities such as playgrounds, cafes and a large wading pool at the entrance. I thought I would be miserable, but the park was in a older neighborhood in which we noticed the beautiful homes and mature trees as we were driving toward the zoo. There were so many shade trees that the heat didn't really bother me and the zoo had prepped for the heat (since it's of course Memphis) and had out fan with misters placed sporadically throughout. We were there only 2 and a half hours, so we didn't eat there other than ice cream. We couldn't tell you about the prices for food. And since our son can walk without easily getting tired we didn't use the zoo's rental strollers. The wading pool was closed as we entered and left the zoo because they hadn't brought out the lifeguard and that was one thing we were disappointed in not using especially by the time we left we all had worked up a good sweat. I definitely would recommend the zoo for families and there is a conference center there for those who would like an opportunity to do an offsite venue.

This is a top knotch zoo and animals seemed happy and well taken care of
Had a great time at the zoo lights! The kids haven’t stopped talking about all the things they saw while we were there. We plan on buying season passes now because of how much fun we had!
Amazing zoo! Spacious, clean, beautiful. Very informative exhibits, nice art by students on display. Lots to see and do. Loved the wading pool, playgrounds, green spaces and landmark buildings (good places to sit, rest and charge phone). I also loved the opportunities to interact with the animals (feeding the giraffes and stingrays - well worth the extra $). The map they give you with your admission ticket is super helpful! The zoo is big, but walkable. I saw all the exhibits in one day (spent about 6hrs there).
Great zoo. The updated, themed, animal habitats are great. A full days worth of fun activity for our family. No outside food allowed in. So either plan to eat or of your car at the few picnic tables around the edges of the parking lot, or but food inside. Would recommend.

Come prepared to walk. This place is big so much to see. Fun for all ages
Zoo was awesome! I can understand why it is one of the best zoos in the US. Animal selection was vast. The themes of each part of the park really added a lot to the atmosphere. Since we went during the winter, not all of the animals were out, which we expected before we went. I can not wait to go back in the summer!! A must see!
It’s very expensive! I haven’t been in a long time, and I was shocked at the cost. Parking $10, then $29.50 for two people after receiving a Veteran discount! How can families afford this? I didn’t have money for food or the shops.
It was nice. Not to crowded. A lot of walking. Several exhibits were closed. And, the aquarium was not great (that'snot an aquarium). The stingray petting and feeding was cool.
A very nice zoo. Lots of different animals which were situated so you can get a close look at many of them.
This zoo never disappoints. The habitats are well thought out and the different themes make it even better. It was my first time feeding the stingrays and I HIGHLY recommend that. So much fun to play with them. Can't wait to go back!!

This zoo is so much fun! The staff are helpful and great with kids, and the zoo has so many excellent programs including summer and spring break day camps, and they've been extra careful amid the pandemic, which has been such a relief.
**** CLOSED **** After checking online, calling to verify (you these crazy days you just can't tell) the hours... (which were updated just 2 weeks ago) making the 45 minute drive only to see the Gates and Parking were CLOSED!!!! No notice, no signs, no reasoning, no logic. I'm afraid for the animals inside being left with no one that cares to take care of them. This in an obvious FACT because if ANYONE cared they would of put up a sign explaining why the entire place was CLOSED UP and abandoned. I called several times trying to reach someone (no emergency number listed anywhere) and finally left a message on the general mailbox number. A day later I have still not received a call back so I'm getting really worried about the animals inside. I guess my next step is to call the Animal Welfare System and National Zoological Society and report them and save those animals. I'll give them till End of Today, I don't want to cause trouble... however CLEARLY no one with ZOO cares enough to post a reason for the closure and or call a concerned citizen that spent 2 hours of his life he'll never get back because NO ONE CARED to update the hours at the ZOO or on GOOGLE... I've alerted Google the MEMPHIS ZOO is temporarily (I HOPE) closed. If someone doesn't demonstrate they are responsible and caring by reaching out after leaving messages and requesting information as to the Sudden, unexpected and unannounced closing. I will spearhead the effort to relocated the animals to a caring can capable home. I hope you'll join me in saving the animals of the Memphis Zoo.

Had a great time. The aquarium and komodo dragon exhibit doors were locked for some reason though. Other indoor and air conditioned areas were not. If you go to the zoo more than twice a year with a family get a zoo membership. It's worth it and gets you free parking plus other discounts at gift shops and adventures. Kangaroo adventure exhibit was cool too where you get to walk around with them in the open and pet them if they get close enough

We are from out of state and enjoyed the entire experience. There was so much to see , and also many things that interaction was an option for making it even more enjoyable. The stingrays were my favorite to love on ! But all in all it is well put together, clean, and a good family trip. Would definitely go again. There was also a wading pool for the kiddos so bring a swimsuit for the munchkins!
Really fun! So many different animals, and they look like they get good care. The lions were really pretty, and the pandas Lele and Yaya were really cute, just chillin with their bamboo. The red pandas were adorable, one was up in a tree and the other eating some fruits! Recommend you visit this place!

We were a little disappointed. They had a lot of animals out of their exhibits. No Polar Bears, Jaguars, and all the Avians were out except the Toucans. We know exhibits have to be cleaned and maintenanced, but on a Saturday? Maybe you should have a sign out front letting guest know what exhibits are closed. Friendly knowledgeable staff.

We went during the rain and we were so happy even still! The zoo property is well cared for and beautiful! They have animal keeper chats at specific times, so pay attention to the schedule and go listen to the keeper talk about your favorite animal ...and ask questions! Animals appear to be well cared for...yes, they are in a zoo...so they're not as happy as could be in the wild. Most seem contempt and staff seem passionate about ALL the animals, all were quick to help us and answer all of our million questions! This zoo is most definitely worth going too!!!!
Great variety for animals and getting to feed the giraffes and stingrays and watch the hippo was definitely fantastic but the enclosures for the most part are TINY and the aquarium is a joke.

A nice place to take the kids. They enjoyed it. I like the design of the front entrance. I was disappointed about the exhibits of northern animals. Memphis is hot and the polar bears and pandas looked sad and uncomfortable. Not unusual for animals in the Zoo but Memphis is hot as hell and I did not get the feeling the environmental temperature was being regulated to feel like summer in cold climates.

The aquarium was disappointing bc that's my favorite part of any zoo and theirs was too small and uninteresting, but the zoo itself is beautiful. We fed the giraffes which was awesome!❤ We will be go back again!
Loved the zoo! Great price with plenty to see. We went on a rainy morning during the week. Not many people and it was great to see all the animals without a bunch of people to look over. There is a trolley that runs the entire zoo. The cost is 2 dollars and you get a pass for the entire day. This was worth the price. Could walk around for a while hop on the trolley to a new section without needing to walk. The first trolley driver sped through the park withour talking. The second driver gave a great speech about the animals in each section and what there was to see.
Talk about feeling like a kid at heart! There's no way you can not walk away feeling good. I will say that it surprises me how close the animals are to you without a barrier to us, unless it's an electrical fence lol. Eat before you come, and bring snacks for the kids. My only wish is that if there were guides at each animal area.

The zoo was thoughtfully laid out and very clean. All of the animals appeared to be healthy and sociable. I especially like the stingrays! A great selection of species that well represents a sampling of the wonders and majesty of our wonderful natural world. This would be a great place to bring children, a date, or just yourself for a fun day out. Make sure to go on a Tuesday if you are a Tennessee resident, because your admission will be free later in the day. Oh, and definitely make sure to visit the stingrays!

Great zoo, kids always have a blast at it. Went recently on a rainy day. Thought all the animals would be hiding out but surprisingly most were out and about so that was nice. Not crowded at all either so that was very nice. Overall we've been numerous times over the last 10 years and it's always been nice and clean. Good exhibits.

A great layout for a zoo, with plenty of space, enough restaurants, restrooms, benches and of course animals. I loved the way they had themes, for instance the panda where after you enter a (Chinese) temple. Or tyhe entrance is made to give the feeling of Egypt. Animals looked happy, humans even more. Only negative to me was we had to pay extra 5 dollars for parking and i don't see the reason. I would much prefer them to have it in the price for the whole ticket of the zoo than extra. Ticket was 15 dollars per adult, and after we saw everything we can easily say it worth the money.
Wonderful day at the zoo! The kangaroo exhibit cost $5 a person , which irritated my husband because we paid admission to get to see the animals and then they were charging extra to see some of them.
This zoo is right up there with the Henry Doorly Zoo in Lincoln, Nebraska one of the best in America. Spacious exhibits with relatively unintrusive barriers. Great theming throughout and enough room to not feel crowded, even on a very busy day.
One of only 4 US zoos with panda bears, it’s a must see! A great place for families and friends alike! The themes and disclosures were breathtaking and the variety of animals was the best I have seen! Don’t forget to see the polar bears!

This place exceeded our expectations by far! Such an amazing place to visit. The facility is older but very very well kept and all the staff were nice, friendly and knowledgeable. A must go to if you're in the area! Prices were even great!
Was ok went for zooboo and it really wasn't worth the price of admission. Not only did they not have coffee or hot chocolate on a cold night you really don't see any animals. Now daytime hours it's a good place to take the kids for a family day.
I love zoos and visit as many as I can wherever I travel. The Memphis zoo is bigger than expected and the zoo is exceptionally clean. I love some of the enclosures and exhibits. Most of the zoo animals were out and about. I've never seen as many Giraffes at one time as I did today. Great zoo. Plus got a Memphis hotdogs popcorn and drink for 9$. Not bad at all. Bravo Memphis
Went on 10 Feb 2022. (For those who may not know of haven't visited before, you pay the mandatory $10 parking fee, unless you somehow walk to the zoo from elsewhere). No big deal, I figure that helps them continue their mission. And I am always happy to pay the adult ticket price for multiple people. But I was disappointed that NOWHERE was it posted that many animal exhibits and shops were closed because of an electrical outage from a week prior. The aquarium and amphibian locations were closed, and many of the major animal locations were empty all day, but they didn't mention that to us when we arrived and it wasn't posted on the entrance. Very few activities and most shops and food stands were completely closed. This was a letdown, and seems irresponsible to customers, especially when hundreds of people buy multiple tickets each per day. They have had one week since the power outage to at least post information either on their Google Maps updates page or at the spot where you pay for parking, saying that exhibits were closed, but they didn't. Very disappointed and seems like a lack of regard to patrons who visit several times a year. Not sure why they're charging full price admission for during a half-service period, but I guess that is to be expected these days. You may want to call in advance to see which exhibits and activities are closed. Poor experience.
Spent all day here, hours of fun and enjoyed a lot of it. Got tons of photos and knick knacks to enjoy for the memories. The main downside of it was that the limited time kangaroo exhibit where you have to pay to pet and get into it. Once inside though you couldn't get close to pet. Spent 30 minutes trying to do so only to waste money. You're better off petting the stingrays since you can feed them as well. Other than that the time spent was great.

The Memphis Zoo is a fantastic stop to make on any visit to the city. There are tons of fantastic displays and animals to see with recent additions that are high quality. In addition to it's variety, making it ideal for a nice day trip; it is all available at a healthy price. Specifically, the panda exhibit has a big reputation since it is one of few in the United States to a have them, and it is deserving. They are fantastic beasts and nearly make the admission worth it alone.
What a phenomenal zoo! I can't comment on the wait time because we were there before the gates opened, which I highly recommend. It's a beautiful campus, the animals are exceptionally well taken care of and it shows. We did our best to cover the whole zoo but ended up missing 3 or 4 of the exhibits. The most expensive part was the food, which you don't have to take part in. Re-entry is allowed before 4 with every ticket. Do yourself a favor and go to this zoo at least once! Pro tip, ask about an all inclusive ticket at the gate to participate in all the extra activities (feeding a giraffe, feeding sting rays, kangaroo petting and so much more).

This zoo has SO many different animals. My favorite were the pandas. We skipped the birds, snakes, and a few other areas and spent over 2 hours there. My husband and I were very brief when visiting each animal, so I say 3-4 hours would be a valid estimate of time there. Masks are required indoors regardless of vaccination status. It felt like most food carts/shops were closed, which was my only complaint.
Always such a fun experience for kids and parents alike. If you get a chance to visit during Zoo Boo then I highly recommend it. Also, when it's the summer months remember you're in Memphis, TN and bring plenty of water or you'll pay out the nose for theirs. They have the coolest polar bear exhibit where you're able to actually be at eye level with the bears while they're swimming in their pool. Really neat.
A beautiful zoo. One of only 4 zoos in the United States that has the giant panda. Feeding the giraffs was fun. The whole family enjoys our water visit.

The children enjoyed it. I was excited to see the polar bears but only one was out. A lot of animals weren't out, vendors were closed. Could of been a better experience but we still enjoyed it as a family.
What in the world happened to the zoo!? No animals in half the exhibits. It was a real let down. Nothing like the zoo was back in the day. The elephants have been in that exact same exhibit since I was a small child and I’m in my 60’s now! Very dissatisfied and disappointed to say the least. Guess we won’t be renewing our membership. ???? it was one of only a handful of stuff to do in Memphis now it’s not worth visiting.
Yes
Had a great time. They are adding a splash pad on for the kiddos to play in. All of the animals seemed in good health. The zoo staff was very helpful giving us information about the critters. Made our trip well worth it.
This was pretty fun. The little tram is a must. You get a tour, and they tell you a little about each exhibit as you go around. You can get on & off the whole day.....did not know that til we were about ready to leave, and decided we wanted to ride it. The exhibits were nice (the ones that were open or not closed due to construction). The water features are a nice way to cool off, and there seemed to be parents that brought their kids, just to play in the water. I was excited to see the ???? pandas they did not look healthy IMHO, they looked lethargic and their coat/hair just didn't look healthy to me. I was also excited to see the hippopotamus.....but all I saw was a sliver of its rear end.

We love the Memphis Zoo! It has so many awesome exhibits and animals. I really love that even on days where it is very busy, it never feels too crowded walking around in the Zoo. Days where we have nice weather and/or the spring/summer months tend to be the busiest times of the year to go, so plan ahead. We have found that it is always easiest to go as soon as the zoo opens in order to beat the crowds and heat. During the warm months, there are concessions available throughout the zoo. When it is cold and less busy, only the Cat House Cafe is open. I really appreciate that bathrooms with changing tables are readily available everywhere you go. I also really appreciate that the bathrooms are always clean! If we don’t want to wait in the concession lines, we will bring food with us for the kids so they can get a quick bite to eat. I highly recommend a visit to the zoo! It’s one of the top Zoos in the country for a reason! TIP: if you live in Memphis or close by, I would suggest getting a zoo membership. They pay for themselves in just a few visits and the membership entrance lines are ALWAYS shorter than the regular cashier windows. Also, it’s really nice to get member discounts in the zoo shops.

First off, I am a relative Zoo Pro. I have been to close to 10 zoos & aquariums in the last 2 years, and my wife and I are avid Zoo Enthusiast. Our trip to the Memphis Zoo was actually a pretty spur of the moment trip that included the Tennessee Safari Park as well. The Memphis Zoo is definitely towards the top of my zoo list. The price is not crazy, there is plenty of parking, the food was good, and the Zoo itself is clean. Overall we enjoyed our trip. Even with the wearing of Mask (Something we have gotten used to) we were able to enjoy almost everything the zoo had to offer. Pros: --The EXIBITS are wonderfully designed. Many Zoos do not think through how a good exabits should be designed. At the Memphis Zoo, almost all the newer exabits have multiple if not all the way around viewing to ensure that even if the animal is sleeping you will still be able to see it. --Theming was really great on the newer side of the Zoo. Each area is very well themed. At times it feels more like walking into a theme park area VS a Zoo. --Variety of Animals was great! Its not just a little zoo, they have a ton of different animals, including many you don't see everywhere. --Food Prices were actually very reasonable. A burger, fries and a drink for less than $10. That is something you do not see often! Not the best burger I have ever had, but still adequate. --Related to the good exabits, but another note is that this zoo is a photographers dream. With a good telephoto lens, you can just about capture every animal up close. Cons: --Zoo layout is somewhat jumbled. We found ourselves back tracking a fair amount. Kind of wish there was a more clear "Path To See Everything". However we are still yet to go to a Zoo that this is done well. --The keeper talks were a little embarrassing. I assume this was B or C team over the weekend, but several did not know answered to questions, and others just ignored the people a together. Also, the couple that were "Feeding" times did not even have a Keeper Talk. They just threw food into the enclosures. --The additional cost for stingray touch pool is annoying. This should be included in the cost. No Zoo should ever have anything animal related that is additional cost once you enter the park. Especially given you could not even go see the stingrays without paying. --Some of the older enclosures were closed. Not sure if they were being refurbished, but the circle barn only had 2 animals in it. --The beer festival is annoying for normal folks that came to the zoo to see animals. I know all zoos are doing this these days for extra income, but for folks like me, its annoying to have to walk through groups of drunk college students that couldn't care less about animals and are looking for their next refill. --The gift shop was very small, and not stocked well. We always buy a stuffed animal from every trip we take, and we could not find anything at this shop we liked. We decided to order some offline instead. It kind of ruins the magic of getting one from the actual zoo. Notes: --This zoo will take you over 2 hours at a fast pace walk. --I recommend going left on the trail as you enter as that seemed to require the less amount of back tracking. --Wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking --Get there early! It really helps to get ahead of the crowds --Buy food! Its a decent price, so worth supporting the good prices. Will add pictures to my review once I get them weeded down. Google reviews does not usually like my 600 pictures.
A lovely half day. I got to the zoo right at opening time given the expected heat of the day. There are plenty of animals to see and most where out and active. Especially the monkeys. I noticed that a lot of the animals where out and eating early in the morning. I attended two of the keepers talks (hippo and panda) and thought it was great! I highly recommend it. I spent over three hours walking around and having a snack. If you have kids make sure to bring a bathing suit as there is a small wade pool.
One of the cleanest zoo's I've ever been to and I love going to the zoo. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is based on the big cat enclosures (they were small). Pandas, Gorillas, Polar Bears, Komoda Dragons, all kinds of rare and endangered animals to learn about.

O...M.....GOSH!!!! The Memphis (TN) Zoo is one of the most BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED ZOOS I have seen thus far!!! LANDSCAPED FOR ROYALTY and well kept animals and living spaces.. camel rides, carousel rides, zoo trams and giraffe feedings etc etc.(which I didn't get a chance to do....yet). Very well organized. Lots of shady spots and lots of resting spaces. We were there July 3 2021 and it wasn't overly crowded. Enough space to keep your distance. We were there almost 4 hours and still missed just a couple of areas. Wanted to get in on the hourly "chats and shows, but just enjoying the beautiful weather and nature's beauty of land/animals! Comfortable walking shoes are definitely a must! What I did find interesting was that even though we were out amongst trees and natural type habitats, I did not see/hear a lot of bugs/mosquitoes/gnats/bees/wasps etc. (That was great, considering my autism spectrum daughter who starts 100-yard dash at the sight of insects!) For some reason, the air in the zoo areas seemed "clean", and not smelly ...except briefly for 1-2 areas as we walked by, if that makes sense. This is definitely worth the parking/entrance fee. I would definitely visit again and would HIGHLY recommend anyone to visit if you're in the Memphis TN area.YOU WILL NOT GET BORED HERE! Memphis Zoo...you hit it out of the park for our family vacay! Keep up the good work
$21–30
Always a great time! The habitats are well maintained and even parts of the zoo that are under construction are well labelled and professional looking. The animals are usually out and enjoying life and that's definitely a sign of a well maintained zoo.
I love the zoo so much, however the pricing is absolutely ridiculous and unfair! I paid $22 for myself and another to get in and was so exited to see the new kangaroo exhibit, but you had to pay even for money to get in?? If I’m paying that much I think I should freely get to see all the animals in the park, completely unnecessary for me to have to pay extra after I just paid $10 to park and $22 a person!

The Memphis zoo, is awesome with very nice staff members and they have a area where you can sit and they bring out random animals for you to see and learn about. The Lions and Monkeys are very interesting and entertaining.
Huge zoo! So many animals and cool activities. My 4 year old had a blast. We don't live in TN but will go back when we swing that way again.
Loved everything here. They have a big kiddie pool by the entrance. Its huge we actually didn't get a chance to see the entire thing. We got there around 12 and didnt get to see maybe a quarter or less of it before they closed. Also liked seeing the keepers inside the exhibit feeding the lions.
The set up of this zoo is amazing. I loved how the animals were portrayed and my most favorite was the display of information about the animals and what the zoo does for them. Easy to go through with about 4 hours of things to do. More if you look around. Will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Great zoo! Went to the zoo on Tennessee Tuesdays - the entry was free after 2 pm. The zoo has many animals including african oe guins, pandas, polar bear, etc. The seal show was especially fun! The last one us at 3 pm right so in case you are plannong to go make sure to be there on time!
I love the zoo year pass we go all the time. More special events would be nice.
We probably picked a lousy time to go. Everything was shut down except exhibits. SO MUCH WALKING. The animals that we did see were very entertaining!

Been 1,000 times & it never gets old. We love our zoo!!! There are so many things for kids to do besides just looking at animals. But of course the animals are awesome.
Went to the Christmas lights show, it was amazing. We didn't see any animals, but overall the zoo was very clean and cute with good bathrooms. Highly recommend the lights show. Great price and parking is included in ticket prices

With recent updates and added exhibits, the Memphis Zoo is really beginning to hit a new stride that it hasn't had in the last decade. The paddocks and enclosures honestly seem more natural and maintained than a lot of other zoos I've been to. The food is always good and the staff always seem passionate and helpful. It's an original Tennessee experience. Don't skip it.

Lovely to walk and food is a little expensive but convenient ????.
A wonderful way to spend the day! I went during the day and missed zooboo (sold out) but got to enjoy a nice October fest with tents set up throughout the zoo. The aquarium was not what I imagined but I still enjoyed it. I recommend the membership and I hope to be able to go back soon to see the lights they are doing now for the holidays.
The Memphis Zoo is a very nice zoo. The animals were all out and active.

The Memphis Zoo is an excellent place. It's was really nice. The aquarium building needs work. It's dark and has some aquariums that are not functioning. The northwest areas were really beautiful. Overall this zoo has some really visually beautiful exhibits and the animals were easily viewed. This Zoo is fabulous. There is also a wading area for the kids at the entrance of the Zoo where they can play in the water.
$21–30
Visited this zoo/aquarium and really enjoyed it. Was a lot bigger than I expected for it to only be an $18 admission. You'll need at least 3 hours or more ro really enjoy all the exhibits. The only thing I was disappointed in was the aquarium. It's literally one room with fish tanks. So if you're expecting otters or dolphins (like I was) you'll be disappointed.
The Memphis Zoo has an excellent variety of animals from various parts of the world. As long as you are within one of the many regionally-themed areas of the park you will rarely, if ever, want of a bench upon which to sit. Not every bench is comfortable, but the benches truly are plentiful and varied. Some types will repeat in fine areas, but almost every part of the zoo has multiple kinds of bench. I took many photos of benches and there is no way I took one of each kind. Honestly, it was even a little overwhelming! There truly are so many benches that if you are the type who is disinterested in animals, you could still make a day of bench spotting at the Memphis Zoo!
Awesome zoo! Definitely one of the best layouts off a zoo I've visited. The visibility of the animals is very well done here; there wasn't much you couldn't see. Very neat themes within each area of the zoo and a fantastic variety of animals. Worth traveling to see!
We love the Memphis Zoo. The exhibits have vastly improved over the past 10 years. It’s an easy walk, handicap accessible. We have a membership so we can stroll through on nice days. The kids love going also. During the summer, there are tons of places for them to run through the water to cool off so bring bathing suits and towels. You are allowed to bring in coolers with snacks and drinks. There are plenty of picnic areas. They as also have several places to eat. Starting this year, they also have beer and wine for sell but it’s super expensive.
This place is great! Prepare to spend all day though, the place is huge. Opens at 9am and closes at 5pm, I'd suggest you get there when they're opening to get to see everything. They have penguin feeding at 3pm which is really cool to watch; they also have a polar bear! Near the polar bear they have bald egals, grizzly bears, white wolves, and elk. I'm not going to spoil the zoo, it's one of the best I've ever been to. The food on the other side is a bit expensive but what can you expect? the food was good, I got the bamboo burger and I loved it, though the chips were not my thing. A few paid things inside: you have the stingray area where you can feed and pet them, rid a camel, go on a train, feed giraffes, and more. All in all I'd give more then 5 stars if I could, it's well worth the money and time.
Great zoo. Felt like we had the zoo to ourselves for the first 2 hours Loved the pandas! So close to all of the animals! Wish the Ferris wheel and kangaroos we're not closed during this time of the year though
I've been to this zoo several times and it seems that, over the years we've encountered more and more exhibit closures. Among our favorites is the Creatures of the Night which we've found closed on multiple occasions. The Cat Country contains a fantastic mix of cats that are most active around sundown.

Great family zoo with plenty of animals and activities. It's top rated and has many exotic animals other zoos don't have. The zoo is very clean and is updated regularly. The staff are very friendly and informative. We didn't have any trouble parking or getting around. If you plan on going more than once in a year it's cheaper to get a family membership than paying for it each time

We loved our trip to this zoo. The first thing that immediately stands out before you even enter the zoo is how impressive the design and theming is with a gorgeous Egyptian themed entrance welcoming you to the zoo. The staff at the ticket windows were helpful and friendly which is always a great start. As for the zoo itself there are definitely "older" and "newer" sections of the zoo. The older section which includes the Tropical Bird House, Once Upon A Farm, Penguin Rock, Aquarium, Round Barn and Pelican Pool give a good nostalgic zoo feel but feel like they do not fit with the remainder and the zoo that is so impressive. The aquarium although smaller and older had a very impressive collection of species. The Cat Country, Primate Canyon and African Veldt were older exhibits that were well designed and still worked well with an impressive variety of animals. The Dragon's Lair exhibit is very impressive with 3 adult Komodo Dragons. I do wish they could improve the theming of that building to better fit a "Dragon's Lair", but the size and shape of their animals more than made up for it. The Herpetarium featured a huge variety of reptiles and amphibians including some of the most active and colorful animals I've ever seen. We really enjoyed the theming of the Animals of the Night exhibit with the great lighting to show off these unusual animals and loved the variety of animals, however there was such an overwhelming smell of urine in the building that you could barely enjoy it. The China, Zambezi Hippo Camp, Northwest Passage and Teton Trek exhibits were some of the finest I've ever seen in a zoo not just from the design and theming, but also for the variety of species and the all encompassing views you get of the enclosures from all different angles. The Cat House Cafe was a great place to eat and it was awesome to see the gibbons come right up to the glass beside your table as you ate. The food is a bit pricey, but still affordable compared to other zoos we've been to. We will definitely return to this zoo in the future and highly recommend it to others. They have a wide variety of animals, amazing geographically themed exhibits, most importantly (except for the one Panda on exhibit that looked sickly) all the animals looked amazingly healthy and active.
This is a great zoo! Being from Fort Worth, TX, I thought it would be hard to top our zoo, but Memphis does it. The enclosures are built in a way that makes you feel closer to the animals, and they were all quite active the day we were there. Great way to spend a day in Memphis!
Who doesn’t love the zoo!? We went to zoo lights and it was great. Nice selection of Christmas lights and you get to see some of the exhibits. It was well worth the trip and $14. It was a better value than Shelby Farms starry nights.

I wish I could give zero star to Memphis zoo for their mistreatment of Pandas there. I watch the panda cam over a year when I read the miserable story about Panda Yaya there. I witness the deteriorating condition of panda Yaya in the passing year. The gross negligence at the Zoo is astonishing. Both pandas are rarely seen outdoors. Their food are mostly dried out bamboo with little treat or stimulating interaction offered. It is utterly distressing to watch the pandas suffering there. Shame on you, Memphis Zoo.
Takes great care of the animals and has awesome events! We went to zootober fest! You can get the Stein for $12 and then get refills of a lot of different kinds of beer for only $6! Beautiful time of year to go. The weather is perfect.
Hands down the best zoo I have ever been to! All exhibits are amazing! Kids love it, especially getting wet (so make sure you have some towels/change of clothes in your car for when you leave). After living in Houston for the past 5 years, realize that I took the ease of parking at Memphis Zoo for granted -- yes, you have to pay a small amount but it is worth it.

This place is just incredible. It is a vast expanse of animals and foliage. You can easily lose yourself in here for 3+ hours. The price isn’t bad but if you plan on going more than once you might as well buy the membership instead. You get a 10% discount in the stores that way (not food though). The zoo shop has some pretty good bargains and the prices are not jacked up like other parks.
Our family loves the Memphis Zoo! We have an annual membership that includes guests, and it’s one of our favorite places to go with family and friends all year long! We’ve been to a lot of zoos around the U.S. and Memphis is one of our favorites. The animals aren’t too far away, they have a good variety, (one of the few places to see pandas!), and the layout is nice, with plenty of shade on the walkways to help offset the MidSouth heat!

Aquarium was closed. Big oof. Sloths were practically hiding. Bummer. Got to hear the lion roar. Poggers.
We had a great time! Very surprised by how large the zoo was. But we were able to see most of it and the kids had a great time as well as the adults. The Christmas decor was just going up so we got to see some of that as well. The grounds and facilities were clean, parking was close and the staff was friendly!

This zoo is absolutely amazing!!! Lots to see. Beautiful paths and all very handicapped accessible!
One the best zoos I've been too. The entrance alone is fun and exciting and all the exhibits appear clean and comfortable for the animals. The sea lion show is a must see. The animals are almost always active when I visit and we get to see plenty of their unique behaviors. Plan to spend several hours here enjoying all that the Memphis Zoo has to offer.
Went to Memphis Zoo, had a great time saw alot of animals and its nice setting and then their was a club cart driving like crazy with three huge women on it and almost ran me over. Looks like they didn't care who was in front of them, they seem unprofessional, and they were smiling and driving reckless.
Always a fun experience the staff was very friendly. Great to see animals an exercise. And theres a good variety of animals. They have a deal on Tuesdays if you're a Tennessee resident you can come from 2-5pm with kids but you do have to pay $3 ea to see pandas. If you bought a ticket it's free. You can feed the giraffes here, kids can play in the water fountain. Family fun!
Amazing loved every min. of it. Great family fun, a lot better than the zoo in little rock, but would have been nice to see more ocean animals in the aquarium.

Had alot of fun at the memphis zoo Friday night. At the Zoo Boo
Nicely landscaped zoo with thoughtfully crafted modern exhibits. These include the hippo, polar bear, grizzly bear, nighttime animals, large cats, pandas, etc. The zoo staff continues to work through the older exhibits and improve them. Also nice water features for the kids to wade in.
This Zoo is horrible. Visiting from Birmingham. Ok, if you have children, of course, they are going to enjoy seeing animals, when their out. Everywhere we went, the animals were asleep, or not out at all. The aquarium is just that, a room with fish aquarium like the store, maybe 25. For us, it was a waste of our money. Again small children will love it.
One of the best overall zoos in the country. Many great new enclosures!
I was amazed at how well the Memphis Zoo was planned out. Not only are the animals grouped in similar clusters, but the walking spaces between the exhibits are beautiful, too. The outdoor speakers that play music specific to a region is also a very nice touch. The only difficult part of our trip we encountered was visiting the nocturnal animals exhibit. I don’t know if it was maybe the time of day we visited (mid morning) or what, but this part of the park smelled so rancid, I had to cut out early.
When I saw Ya Ya, I was very very very sad.!!! It's like someone sent your precious baby to hell. I felt it. She was in pain and despair. I hope those who see this text and photo can awaken your little humanity to save this poor, speechless and abused baby. Please!Save her!!!

The Memphis Zoo is always beautiful. The animals are well taken care of and healthy. The admission however has gone up and is over $20 for each adult. It's a large zoo so be prepared to WALK. It's great for exercise, however, in the summer it's deathly hot so bring some ice cold beverages or be prepared to purchase the $3.50 regular size waters and sodas from the machines throughout the zoo.
I absolutely loved it, then price was reasonable and it could not believe how big it was.

I truly enjoyed this zoo. I was sad that several exhibits were closed. I also wish parks and zoos wouldn't charge SO MUCH for normal everyday food and drinks. I bought two regular sized bottled water and it was $7 and some change. Ridiculous. Otherwise it was a great day. I did like that they offered group rates and some fees were less because we were with a group. Any staff that I spoke with (not many) were polite and helpful. The Lego Brick display they have this season 2019 is amazing. I am always blown away by these sculptures when I see them! This zoo has a great variety of animals. The Pandas were my favorite.....well the apes and monkeys too.
Fun experience for the whole family. We were there for hours and we didn't get to see everything because it's so big. Be prepare for a lot of walking, wear comfortable shoes. There is wheel chair and stroller rental so that was a great option since grandma can't walk long. I recommend you visit the zoo if you're in Memphis.
It was alot of fun. Some of the exhibits were missing animals though. I don't know if it's a common thing in zoos but most of the animals were lethargic and didn't really do much. The best thing imo was feeding the stingrays the eat right out of your hand.
One of the nicer zoos I visited. Tons of open space and tons of animals here. There's a lot of wildlife preservation done in the background as well as attempts at saving endangered species. There was a cool movement towards pine snakes that they helped fund through their own brewing of a beer called the Zoo Brew. Zoo lights were also very cool.

Always love going to the Memphis Zoo it is one of my favorites and is much better than the Nashville Zoo where we now live. It was relatively crowded when we went with parking pushing to the outer lots but the weather was good so walking was enjoyable. Masks enforced and sanitizer stations available throughout. There were a couple of things that cost additional from general admission I believe an camel ride and a kangaroo deal but all in all great experience. It was $10 to park when we went and my wife and seven year old son had a blast. Would recommend and will be returning

I visited this zoo while on vacation in Memphis from Austin, Texas and it was my favorite experience in the city! This zoo is amazing and has a very wide variety of animals. The best part was the giraffe feeding! I got to walk right up to many giraffes and hand feed them for a very small fee. I highly recommend coming here on a date or with children, great for all ages.

One of America’s finest zoos. I first visited 62 years ago. I have watched with great pleasure as it has grown into the wonderful zoo that it is today. Family friendly in every way, it offers something for everyone. The panda exhibit is excellent. I wish I could go more often but we live a hundred miles
Beautiful exhibits, but needs a few more directional signs. And few water carts or buildings open I get short staffing. But there were machines and all empty..

Best zoo in the south, hands down!! I absolutely love this place. I have taken my boys here since they were babies. They know the exhibit locations like the back of their hands. Now that they are all grown up, we visit for family time, leisure adventures, exercise....and to check on the animals. ???? There's always something new and exciting to see and explore. On the downside, we didn't see any cats in Cat Country on our last visit...not a single one. We are still not sure what happened ????. Nonetheless, I highly recommend a visit to the Memphis Zoo, to any and all!!

Best zoo period. I see cars from all over the country in the parking lot whenever I visit. And the Sting Rays are well behaved for the exhibit as well. Always docile. Make sure you visit Rosy in the Animals of the Night exhibit as well.
My kids love the zoo and this one is a good one to visit when you have a free day. Right now they have lego exhibits which my kids loved. They also have a playground and a wading pool. The exhibits and design of the zoo was also made to reflect where the animals came from (for example the panda exhibit was designed like a shrine in China).

Keep up the good work
Great zoo. The Christmas light show was beautiful
How come this place is still open? They are mistreating so many animals especially the panda! Stop lying and please treat them well since you are making money on them. Can’t believe this country has such a terrible zoo!
Went to zoo boo which was packed on opening weekend. Took forever to park but once parked had no troubles getting in. Long lines for most candy stations and it was a lot better than years past even without the hay ride. Altho I did miss that and hope it comes back. Masks are a must inside buildings. And food/drink stations were still opened but a lot of the animals were put up.
I loved going but some of the animals seemed stressed and/or extremely bored and were pacing. Last time I came here the polar bear was pacing forward and backward while swinging its head around. I also feel like it might be helpful if on colder days if the cats or other animals weren't out then to put up a sign so people didn't walk through for no reason. Other than that the zoo is a fun place to go and I can't wait to go back.
Had a blast! Haven't been in a while. One of my favorite things to do in the city.

Loved this zoo. The animals were super close and interested in us. Enjoyed the Panda zookeeper chat the most.
All around it’s adequate. Not by any means the best zoo on the planet, but there are a lot of unique animals and experiences at the Memphis zoo. I also had nothing, but good interactions with the staff.

Here's the best tip for the zoo, and as a member for 5 years I know what's up. Go in the morning or at closing time for the most active animal sightings! In the afternoon a lot of the animals are sleeping or hiding from the sun, but right before or after feeding time they're feisty, it's so cool to see! I think the zoo needs to work on the elephant area though, it seems too small for so many large creatures. New elephant exhibit!

I have not been to and will not go to your zoo. But I have seen many complaints regarding the care of the two pandas Yaya and LeLe. I looked up regarding the food pandas eat and noted that they eat twenty six to eighty four pounds of bamboo day. In the photos I have seen the bamboo has green foliage. It was also mentioned that pandas love water and need to be bathed regularly. The photos I have seen of these two show them to looking dirty all the time. Al's is there not somewhere that they can get fresh air outside?

Only pics I have. I took videos. I had a pretty okay time. Enjoyable. Flamingos were gone but it was still nice.
Great zoo. We'll take 4 hrs or more to see everything. You could spend the whole day there viewing all the animals.
FANTASTIC! The knowledge that the staff shared about the animals was very informative. Everyone was friendly. I was like a kid in a candy store. I came close to skipping. :-)
Weekend
My family enjoyed our day get away. Some of the exhibits are still closed. The workers were very respectful and were sanitizing often. I will be returning soon. Hopefully new exhibits will open.

I am from Louisiana and I was amazed by all the different animals as well as the exhibits that this zoo has!! Me and my kids were excited about the nighttime exhibit with the bats and other night time animals etc. I am always amazed by the fact that you get to see so many things for the cost in other states compared to home. But good job this was a great memory for me and my kids.

Great place to take the family! They have animal shows...daily. We fed fed sting rays, watched a sea lion show, pet some giant turtles, and seen over 3,000 different animals. It was a great day of fun! We loved it so much we purchased season passes for the whole family. Definitely worth the trip.

The exhibits are awesome and have plenty of room. When you walk in you have a water way that the kids can walk and play in and they also have a play area where the kids can play in the water spots. The shows are great and informative.
