Great place, well maintained and really clean! There are some interesting infos about walks accross Quebec, and obviously map and infos about the Cap Saint Jacques park. It s really good to come for a break here after a long walk. Specially for simple thing like a fontaine, a microwave or the ladies room???? the bus also departing which is really good to know if you coming by bus like me???? for the ones who are driving, the car park is just in front off the chalet.

It was okay, nothing more. Too many closed trails. Straight 'tractor' trails ????... Too much paved (trail?). No old growth trees. Too much $ to park for 2 hrs. Better with fall foliage ?

Rather nice outdoor activity space on the West Islands which we did a summer venture, hiked a bit of it but doubled back to grab our mountain bikes out for an expanded enjoyable tour with plenty to see. You can walk, jog or tour with kids and trails were clearly marked with plenty of rest spots along the river banks with social picnic tables located for use along with out-house styled washrooms available thru out the journey. Getting to see a working agricultural farm with livestock that one could peruse was also a tremendous treat. We will be back.

Disappointment, no fire in the fireplace. If no children with or without access to a fire place, which their parents are forbidden from using, are denied the pleasure of the smell, warmth, light show, knowledge of source of heat, is very sad. No exceptions to the rule is ridiculous. I bet that many of the administration who "dictate these laws" have experienced fire places. Also I will assume most of them have the means to convert to gas & continue to enjoy their fire places on a regular basis.

The place is quite big and offers a wide range of winter activities. There is cross-country ski equipment and snowshoes to rent for reasonable prices. The staff is friendly, but lacked some updated information about the place. We were told we would be able to see some animals at the farm, but the it was closed that day. There is some food machines and microwaves for a quick snack.

Wonderful park with different hikes all year long. If you come early in the morning you're almost alone, weekends are very busy. Trails are running from 2, 3, 5 & 10km. You can combine various trails just to your personal level.

Sufficient parking, clean amenities and a reasonably large reception area for relaxing and enjoying your lunch after a pleasant XC ski, snowshoeing or walking over well maintained trails. Snow promised for tomorrow so Tuesday should be a delight.
