Here we offer you the information of real people who have information of the services of Shubenacadie Provincial Wildlife Park (Zoo) in Charlottetown (Canada).
To this day this firm has a score of 4.7 stars over 5 and that rating was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is practically the best one, and it is founded on a very large number of reviews, so we may say that the rating is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are happy with the business, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to set scores when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Zoo is included in the category of Wildlife park.
NIce wildlife park. has picnic park are with nice open grass fields if your not into the wildlife part.
Awesome place need like 3 hours to truly see everything and that's without lunch!! Cats sleep during the day so don't b disappointed but others are pretty active!! Deer and ducks are super nice!!
A great spot so close to Halifax. Took our baby in a stroller and we were able to walk through the entire area. Plenty of animals in different enclosures and was laid out in a way that even though the parking lot was full, it didn't seem crowded or congested. We were there in the afternoon, so a lot of the animals were resting, but they were still easy to see and enjoy. Highlights were the otters and the raccoons. We will definitely be returning!
Kids had a blast, covid friendly right now too. Very friendly staff.
Perfect for family trip..really nice place
My daughter enjoyed it, especially the part she feeds the ducks
A good, clean place to spend a day off with family or friends! The staffs are friendly and helpful!
Kids loved the adventure
I loved coming here when I was a kid, so happy to be able to relive this experience with my kids!
My favorite place on Earth.
What a gem! Beautiful trails, excellent attention paid to being very Covid safe. We will absolutely come again. Excellent value for dollar.
I've gone here for over 20 years, it never disappoints. For young kids that still love the great outdoors and real wildlife, this is such a great place, the kids can just be free, and there's wildlife all around for them.
Great spot for a family outing with the children. Will return.
Cool spot, the peacocks run wild. Nice place for family fun day.
Been going here my whole life. Wonderful experience every time
Fun place to visit especially for animal fans
Beautiful wildlife park, beautiful animals. Entry price is very reasonable. We spent the day there had a picnic lunch at the picnic playground area. The kids had a blast!
Still love this place. Glad to see there will be some new animals also. Very clean and very well looked after.
One of my favorite places to go, ever! Love all the animals and staff.
A beautiful cool day and all the animals were out of there shelters.
Solid spot for the family. A little wait to get in because of the rona. Animals look well taken care of. Staff went out of there way to make sure we didn’t get lost.
Excellent place to spend some time. Reasonable rate for entry, too. Expect to do a lot of walking, and take your time. Well worth it!
It's a nice place. Enclosures are large and we'll kept. Staff is friendly
If you love animals this is the place to see some you dont normally get to see up close
My 18 month old grandson loved the park. The otter was his favourite.
Always a wonderful place to visit. If it is a cooler day you will see more animals as they are more active :)
Perfect place for either a quick adventure or a full day of fun.
First time there and while we loved seeing all the animals, the wolf enclosure, as well lots of the other enclosures were relatively small and there was only one caribou.
Getting Seasons Passes. One of my favourite places in NS. Amazing for all ages. 2 hours isn't long enough..
Always a great time with the family! Beautifully taken care of and you can see the hard work/ Love the stuff puts in to everything
Always a beautiful spot, was a little rainy but was still able to see almost all of the animals. Talked to a couple park staff who were extremely helpful and knowledgable. Definitely check out the night tours and private events.
Who doesn't love the wildlife park ! It's a great family friendly outing. You pay when you get in (at the moment) so the gate is open to go playground for free basically. Hacks!
Beautiful park. The festival of lights, could use more lights to illuminate the pathway.
Love this place. First visit in decades. Great selection of animals on display, and they all appear happy. Well maintained grounds. Definitely suggest you go!
It's a great spot to go with family.. A huge variety of animals, the peacocks roam freely and are beautiful... Clean, nice walking area
A family favourite, great for your kids and the new wetlands area is a great addition to the park.
I'm in love with this place, not sure how I stumbled there but I'm so glad I did, the tickets were a good price and there were so many animals to see, they clearly took care of the animals. When we went it was a bit cold so not much people which I loved. Every one was so sweet and nice it's a perfect place for all ages
Park Authorities were helpful with directions, many different animals to see and lots of spots to sit and enjoy the nature.
Animal were out and about. Once again people need to self distance and realize that when I step to the side to allow others to enjoy the animals it is not an opportunity to jump ahead. Great Park and staff.
Nice little wildlife park. I understand the need to keep pens small so people can find and see the animals, but my heart wants the animals to have more room to run.
The Shubenacadie Wildlife Park is definitely a great place to visit yearly and to bring kids. We were able to see all of the animals up close. Admission is only $4.75 and it's totally worth it.
Was a beautiful day to walk around the park. Most of the animals were out and active. The walking trails and enclosures were well kept up! Would be five stars except the little canteen was the worst thing I've ever eaten. I took one bite and then threw both my items right in the garbage in the parking lot. I ended up sick afterwards. Pack your own snacks if going!
Great place, loved it ...
Great visit. Lots of animals out today.
My family loves this place. They have really added to the park over the last couple of years with a wetland trail and cat walk now. Make sure to go in the morning if you want to feed the birds though. They even have new bears there that are really active!!
Always a great place for a stroll.
Kids loved it animals are looked after great day out potential
A great place to go with the kiddos!
Exciting animal viewing experience. Great Easter eggs hunt event for kids!
It was great! Beautiful scenery and lots of benches for the people who need to rest their feet often.
A wonderful place for a family hangout in the nature away from all the traffic
Well maintained paths with lots of shade. Cannot get close to most of the animals.,
Great place to view native wildlife. Park is clean and well maintained.
emu's are terrifying!
Grear park, clean and full of info. Would of liked more signage as to what animals names were, how old and their story etc. Surprised they don't have more animals. But great experience none the leas
Great place to take the family. Lots to see and do, clean, friendly staff and lots of bathrooms!
Very nice except felt so sorry for the wolves they don't have much room ????????
Fun park to visit. I was given a map that made the park easy to navigate. All animal pens looked clean and the animals I seen were well taken care of. I will return in the future.
We visit here a lot. Always enjoyable family fun
Great place to take the kids! Some great animals and easy to walk round! You can see all the animals and walk the loop in an hour. Well worth a visit!!
Wonderful educated staff, wide selection of animals, it's a great place for all ages and a wonderful area to spend time with the family
Good enough for this country side, but not a standard zoo. I expect at least few like lion, tiger, monkey etc.
Great place to take kids to see a variety of wildlife and nice walking trails to enjoy.
Great place to visit! Especially during covid because you can social distance easily here. A fun day trip in the summer time :)
Excellent way to spend the day outside with the kiddo and very inexpensive to get in.
Great picnic and park area, great walking trails and clean animals and pens!
Well kept and friendly staff
Great place to spend the afternoon!
I remember going here when I was a kid with my grandparents. Now I took my kids here what memories. A very inexpensive way to spend a few gohou with your family.
A fun place to bring family and friends visiting from away. Very cool animals and a great wetland trail. So fun to go snowshoeing in the winter!
Absolutely Beautiful nature park close home. Beautiful trails and wildlife and signs that say what animal you are looking at. Trails are very well kept and lots of signs that point out different areas. A must for the whole family.
Great animal park!! Animals seem to be well cared for
Best to come on days that aren't too hot, and early afternoon (feeding time...) Great walk for the whole family!
Lovely park. Enclosures are large, and animals appear content. Excellent walking trail through wetlands.
Go here every summer. Place is great for families, and has great animals. My kids always look forward to going there once or twice every year.
Lovely place to walk around or have a picnic. Especially liked the wolves, raindeer and elk. Nice staff. Very clean facilities.
Had a fun time, animals were super friendly. Wasn't busy at all. Easy to find, 4.75 for adults.
Lots of interesting animals and exhibits to look at. Reasonable prices for a family to spend a day at and explore. Nice picnic area to bring a picnic lunch, as well as a canteen nearby. Would recommend.
Lots to see here, great wildlife park.
Visit this place every year. Better experience than watching wild life in zoo.
Love this little park. Plenty of animal ambassadors to see and a wonderful playground to let the kids run off steam.
THIS is one of those places that everyone needs to go to. It costs next to nothing (3.50 CAD in the winter) to visit and really allows you to get closer to the animals than at regular zoos. You still wish some of the enclosures were bigger but at the end of the day its a lot less of a "display" feeling here. You can feed the birds and the deer here with park provided food dispensers. Great for families and it's small and easily walkable (2km). You can tell the keepers genuinely care for the animals and it's places like these that deserve our support!
Great visit. Had diner with the moose.
Lots of fun
Worth getting yearly passes
Great value for money and the animals look very well cared for.
Awesome. :D Lots of fun, super affordable, and operates for a good cause.
Always a treat walking around seeing all the animals at the park.
Very nice wildlife park. Will be returning once it is a bit cooler.
Really nice park. The kids had a good time.
Leisurely walk
Dropped by here for Groundhog Day and really enjoyed the park. Unfortunately, we are getting six more weeks of winter, but in Nova Scotia, if we ONLY get six more weeks of winter, we will be lucky. The park has a great souvenir store and was selling groundhog t-shirts and toy groundhogs for the kids, serving cider and Tim Horton’s coffee as well. The park also remained open for the visitors to view for free that day and the staff was so accommodating, it was a lovely experience.
Great wildlife reserve with lots of trails and local animals as well as a wetland area with lots of various waterfowl.. Ducks unlimited interpretation centre, snack bar. Plenty of parking.
Hard to see animals on that day
Great family fun
Having not been there for many years nice to go and remember my youth.
Well cared with a good design infrastructure. Great place for a walk with kids.
In the 50 years of memory the park has become an amazing place to see happy animals!
Came during COVID19. Had a good system in place and was wonderful to learn so much a ot the animals.
Amazing! My kids love this place.
It was a very nice trip. It is fun for the whole family, a lot of walking so bring water and wear good shoes. We were sad to see the cougar had passed away just yesterday :(
Always a fun spot for the family. Great picnic spot too!!
Great afternoon out with the family! Lots of interesting animals and a place to get ice cream afterwards. Pro tip: Don't forget to bring quarters for duck food. Our daughter was not happy that we forgot!
My favorite
Very nice place to view the wildlife. Kids have an especially excellent be time here. Don't forget the moquito spray! ???? are allowed but only in the parking area, so not really realistic to bring the pups. Didn't see a cat policy though. Lots of animal feed dispensers, bring a pocket full of quarters.
I enjoyed walking around and veiwing all the animals. Feeding some of them their special food was pretty cool as well.
My wife’s favourite spot to take the family. We always have a great time seeing the animals and it is a great place to spend the better part of the day. I would recommend an early morning or mid afternoon as the animals are not overly active during the heat of the afternoon.
Nice clean park with lots of room to move. Plenty of parking, and friendly staff.
I'm in love with this place, not sure how I stumbled there but I'm so glad I did, the tickets were a good price and there were so many animals to see, they clearly took care of the animals. When we went it was a bit cold so not much people which I loved. Every one was so sweet and nice it's a perfect place for all ages
We went to the Learn2Fish program they put on, it was great!
SO MUCH FUN!!!! A great place for everyone to learn, get moving and just make memories
Great staff, trails, enclosures, and animals! And good exercise!
Excellent location to visit. Super cheap and a nice way to spend a sunny day.
Nice place to go for a walk. The kids loved it and it is totally worth the drive from the city.
Awsome as usual good day out lots to see
So pretty, I love it. You can take a real break for your life, immediately you touch the ground of the park.
Nice wildlife park in good quality where you are close to the animals. Difficult to find something to eat. Bring your own food.
Love visiting the animals! The volunteers during our visit were very knowledgable and the staff is very friendly.
Great family park; well kept, clean trails
Lovely day for a lively visit.
Beautiful park to spend the afternoon and watching animals. Lots to see, nice trails free running peacocks.
Love this place. Don't lean on fences or trees. Ticks everywhere.
Great enclosures showcasing our wildlife. Lots of shades areas for resting. Knowledgeable staff.
Another enjoyable visit. Fun for the whole family. An excellent way to view the animals of North America
Great visit while adhering to the covid rules. All the animals were out and about.
Next level. The beavers are so majestic. Worth checking out although I do wish Halifax had a real Zoo.
Great family outing. No matter how many times you go you will always see a different aspect of the wildlife. I find it best to go in the mornings while it's cool and the animals are active.
So much fun! Can’t wait to go back !
Good spot to go animals are usually out. Gets repetitive though same thing every year.
THIS is one of those places that everyone needs to go to. It costs next to nothing (3.50 CAD in the winter) to visit and really allows you to get closer to the animals than at regular zoos. Fun little adventure through various NS habitats, viewing various local wildlife
The only zoo-ish thing in Nova Scotia. Just a mediocre one, but still good for a day picnic.
Nice place to go for a walk and see some wildlife. Well kept and clean.
I like the fact they made it easier to see the animals.
This is a wonderful little park where adults and children alike can learn about animals local to the area. Employees here are very polite and helpful and are always happy to answer any questions you might have.
Cool animals :)
Informative and lovely park. My daughter and I really enjoyed it.
Pleasantly surprised how many animals are there! Take a map from the front and you'll easily navigate through.
Half the park was closed when we went, but it's always a good time
The family loves the animals! The animals are beautiful!
Must visit
Great place to spend time with family.
Great for the kids, excellent staff, and beautiful scenery
Went to the night of lights, it was well organized with the music playing and got chocolate
I've been going there since I was child and it's still a great time as an adult. Showcases more local fauna than a typical zoo. Lots of trees and shade for hot summer days and a picnic park you can enjoy afterward.
A good place to see animals! I like a black swan :)
A good place to see animals! I like a black swan :)
Absolutely loved the wildlife park. There are a lot of different animals to see. Entrance fee is very reasonable too. Unfortunately for us it started to pour rain while we were there so we didn’t get to see everything. They have feeders out so you can feed some of the animals and it’s only a quarter for them. The resident peacock is adorable. He just kind of wanders about leisurely. A return trip is being planned for a nicer day.
It's a great spot to go with family.. A huge variety of animals, the peacocks roam freely and are beautiful... Clean, nice walking area
Amazing spot! Getting to feed the deer, buck, ducks, geese and swans was the highlight. Also seeing the bears and moose on their natural surroundings is a great experience!!
Always a favorite , we ho every year. This time of year is perfect . Not to hot , not to cold and all of the animals are out to play . Sad that the cougar hurt his back , but hope for a speedy recovery
Beautiful wildlife park to visit. There was a big queue of vehicles to get in the park and waited almost an hour to get in. But once you enter, you won't feel much crowded in there. Really good place to spend time with your family and friends. Not much animals in there as its not a zoo but all those animals they have really amazing and super cool to visitors. totally worth to visit.
Nice n beautiful therq
We had a great day. It is a beautiful place within a natural setting.
Great wildlife park, even if over half the wildlife aren't even native to Nova Scotia.
Great spot to take the kids for the day. Makes for a great family day.
Preferred my winter visit to my summer visit! Less people and more animals out! Snowshoeing was awesome!
Its a wildlife park. Youre going to walk alot . Bring snacks
Such a great place to visit. Only $4.50 entry fee. All animals are there for rehabilitation, or injured and can't be released back into the wild. Go when the weather is cooler, so early in the morning during the summer. Animals are more active then and there is nothing worse than taking your kids to see a load of sleeping animals...lol
Always enjoy coming here. Not too far for a nice family get away.
There are alot of sections closed, however always a nice time.
Great place for a day outing! Fair bit of walking involved to see everything, but kinda to be expected. A lot of the trails are covered by canopy, so humidly can be high and black flies can be thick. Once again, kinda what you would expect for walking around a wildlife park. My family and I try to make it over at least once a year because our daughter loves it!
So great. Staff are great and place is kept so well. Affordable, and great trip for friends and family. Animals are taken well care of. It was an amazing spot. Highly recommend. A spot NS should cherish! The beauty of it was seeing the peacocks roaming free...when they are so comfortable walking around that's when you know staff and volunteers are really loving them all!
Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Animals are interesting. Clean environment
What a visit! Great spot to go for the afternoon and hang among the wild! ❤️
Beatifull place to walk and see some animals. The animal areas are large and clean. I feel that this is a place that repects the animals in their care.
It's very nice place to visit with kids.
Beautiful natural area friendly and helpful staff great day ????
Had so much fun bringing my family there! Can't wait to go back!!????
We went during winter season. So parts of the park were closed. The Marsh walking trail, and the section with the Moose and Coyotes. It is a reduced rate to enter in the winter season, so it seems fair. It was a lot of fun taking my daughter. She really enjoyed it. It seems to have quite a bit of space. It was the beginning of spring so everything was melting. It made the dirt trails a bit muddy. We walked back to the entrance to get back to the picnic tables to eat the lunch we brought. Very nice. They have bathrooms that are quite a bit larger then I expected. Clean and stocked. There is also a peacock that hangs around the entrance, near the bathrooms. Really cool to see him just wandering around. Overall a very fun experience.
As much as I hate zoos for being places where wild animals shouldn't be, this place does a really good job of providing a sanctuary for animals that have had too much exposure to humans and can't be released into the wild. I only wish every exhibit had information on the stories of the individual animals in them, telling us how they got there and what their back stories were, and also to teach us about the sadness that comes from being forced to rehome wild animals in a zoo, for instance the Arctic wolf that is stressed and constantly paces in its enclosure, but can't be put into the neighboring enclosure with the other wolf because they don't get along. A wonderful place and refuge to visit though. I highly recommend visiting it if you're in the area. It might be your only chance to see these animals that are native to the area! (And feed the ducks and geese! You're allowed to!)
Great small wildlife park, low prices for a great time
Love it good to see it busy ????????
Nice open air park. Good gift shop. Move the helicopters a away, please.
9 year old says: bunnies (trying to find them). 6 year old says same. They have an interesting selection of animals from North and South America.
Very nice local wildlife park. Highly recommend if you are looking for something to do with kids.
Go to this place few times a year. Still love it the same.
Nice place to take your kids Good opportunity for some cool pics Reasonable price
Great animals for the money, was impressed. Could use signs like --->MOOSE to avoid people spinning in circles at intersections trying to find the animals they missed. Killed over an hour for 4.50 (kids are free?!) and could've spent longer. Would go again.
I Love a walk around the park looking at animals as close as I want to get to a wild animal.
One of the best wildlife park.
Huge roi with extremely low entrance fees and great staff.
Very kind staff here ...such a beautiful park... Very clean..these ppl work with there heart.. Absolutely beautiful...the walk is Beautiful You can feed the ducks .Corn...white swans Black 1 also ...a must visit
Great everytime we come here.
Beautiful park, well maintained. There is a long wait at the gate to enter around 45 minutes during season times. Black bear is the highlight of this park. I wish if they would bling more animals ..
Wonderful afternoon strolling around. Toddler and stroller friendly. Great variety of animals. Clean washrooms and great little ice cream hut.
Amazing place to take the family for an out of the city walk/experience. Family pass pays for itself in 3 visits. Well worth it!!
Lovely nature
Great experience and seen lots of animals and my son loved it.
Great for young & old. Best to go early in morning or late As possible to see more animals. Beautiful, well kept cages. Animals will looked after. Great picnic area with large playground also.
Great place to visit... Lots of local animals that you normally don't see.
Beautiful setting, very informative staff, well laid out. Only reason for the less than perfect score, is that there weren't many animals visible. They were as hot as we were!
Not bad. Entry fee is cheap but there could definitely be more animals. What's there is good though, and definitely worth the price. Just don't expect a zoo or anything.
lots of wild life. awesome place to take kids
Great place to see some wildlife, in a nice setting.
Great place to watch common animals and some more rare ones. Good for school field trips.
Great spot to see different kinds of animals perfect for family trips.
Amazing place to visit with your family. Very convenient fee. Nice area for picnic. Follows all the Covid protocols.
Too many trails closed. Great family place though.
Fantastic walking spot and wonderful friendly staff.
Great for the whole family and a huge picnic park with a playground.
Such a wonderful park to visit with family and friends. They have bears, wolves, otters, and eagles along with the more traditional Maritime wildlife like racoons and porcupines. The paths and walkways are well maintained with plenty of benches for seating along the way. There are huge packs of ducks and opportunities to feed them which is always very popular with the kids. Washrooms are clean and the gift shop and observation centres are informative and a great way for kids to learn more about animals. The canteen isn't open in the off-season so I suggest packing a lunch and snacks! Don't forget quarters to buy food for the ducks!
Great spot! My wife and daughter enjoyed it so much, great selection of animals and the layout is excellent. Had an excellent picnic as well.
Fantastic day enjoying the wonderful enclosures with animals. All the animals looked super healthy. The moose was even under veterinary care. Bonus sighting was a golden eagle!
Very well priced, great way to spend an hour or two with the kids.
This a beautiful place to learn more about Nova Scotia's wildlife. It's a great place to take children to get them interested in nature and conservation.
Access along the highway with ample parking. Sign boards are easy to follow and the staff are very friendly. Excellent place for nature lovers and photographers. Other the listed animals and birds invaders like blue jay, red squirrels and grackles make a show. Lots of learning stuff for students including a library. You will need a whole day to explore
Usually not too crowded as it's spread out. Lots of fun for anyone. Just make sure you don't go in the middle of a hot day, animals will be sleeping
[ Animal Zoo Biography 2022-2021] Detail Simulator Real 3D Live] Best Record Zoo!]
It is very nice zoo and nice walk around
Nice little zoo. Kids will love it
Beautiful and very interesting for the kids!
Nice little wildlife park. It was very affordable for a family.
Always a joy to visit, never grows old. Grandchildren love the animals.
Great! Loving all the updates they have made this year and can't wait to see what next year brings!
Kids loved it. Once finished we enjoyed ice cream
First visit during Covid, impressed with the process put in place! Also, the cleanliness of the park was great as always. The whole family had a great time, and learned a thing or two!
It was good family outing there. Park is well maintained and home of many animals and birds.
????????????????
Great place to take friends, family and kids to see unique Wildlife specific to Nova Scotia
Very disappointing trip which is uncharacteristic of this place. No access to the coyote or wolf pen. The cougar passed away sadly. The moose was under vet care and inaccessible. Many pens were empty (no horses etc) and no notice on the website indicating all these changes co.pared to last year. All the stars of the park were absent but nice to get out anyway.
My daughter loves going her of course her favorite part is the moose.
Great enclosures showcasing our wildlife. Lots of shades areas for resting. Knowledgeable staff.
Great spot to spend 1-2 hours. Take quarters for the animal food vending machines.
Such an enormous place and area but not utilized at all. They can bring many more animals. Most of the animals which were visible looked sad and not taken care properly. The only wild animal was bear,Moose and Bobcat. The only animal which was more than needed were ducks. There were may be 200 ducks. Overall, a very unpleasant place as a wildlife is supposed to be adventurous for kids but most kids there were unhappy as there was almost nothing no animals to see.
Haven't visited for awhile and the wildlife park has been greatly improved. Animals have good space and environment but are generally viewable. Well worth a visit.
Well treated animals. A must see for kids!
underrated. lots of animals that can easily be seen. some you don't find in a zoo.
I don't even remember how we found this place, but we are so glad we did. Today was a bit chilly and overcast which was perfect - not many people out, and much cooler for the animals! We drove right in - no wait at all at the gate and tons of parking. Can't believe admission is under $5 for adults considering the size, beauty and quality of the park. Trails are marked clearly and there are plenty of maps around the park. Also appreciate the number of hand sanitizing stations and washrooms. Otters, wolves, raccoons and bears were a definite highlight for us. There were only a couple of animals we didn't get to see - enclosures are good size and well taken care of. We were really impressed with the overall quality of the park. Don't know that we would buy food from the snack trailer again - just wasn't what we were expecting but others seemed to really be enjoying the ice cream and cotton candy. Because of the reasonable rates, we will be back many, many more times. Another price of feedback is to encourage visitors to have change on hand - I was sad to miss out on feeding the ducks!
Beautiful park, the animals appear happy and well take care of with lots of open space. However, beware of extremely rude/selfish families and children who were seen yelling at and chasing the animals, jumping over fences to get closer to the animals.. and throwing plastic bottles into vault toilets! Disgusted with this behaviour, hope to see more places offering "adult only" days.. but not holding my breath.
Nice place to see animals, kool variety
Great zoo with all animals that are rescued! Beautiful spot and very inexpensive.
Fun place to see some local wild life
We went there a couple times with the kids. There are so many animals to see. Hard to see them all in one visit. There is a little place to buy food, ice-cream and beverages. It was great and didn't cost much to get in. A little bit of a wait to get it though but worth it.
Animals all look great, park is well maintained and cleaned. The animals were not very active but we still enjoyed the park
What a great day for the family! The children especially will have so much fun!
Wonderful location with helpful staff. Love it. My family and I have been there twice in the last year!!
Great place to spend time with the kids without spending a fortune!
A fun place to bring family and friends visiting from away. Very cool animals and a great wetland trail. So fun to go snowshoeing in the winter!
So much to see n all the different animals n trails....beautiful weather & park ❤ Friendly staff n Wetlands centre/gift shop n inexpensive admission....$4.75 adults...$2.00 youth etc... Well worth the visit ☺
Awesome place to visit with kids they loved a lot, awesome healthy animal and birds. We enjoyed a lot here.☃️????
It is so nice park and good place for children.
Great place to visit and they will even hold your dog
Such lovely grounds! Really happy this exists so close to Halifax.
Always love seeing lots of our great countries wildlife, and to my surprise some foreign animals as well!
An amazing place to appreciate Nova Scotia wood life and North American wildlife. All the paths were wheelchair accessible and the staff was extremely helpful.
Fun day for the kiddos! Great price! More than we expected!
Great for all ages, from 4-80. Viewing all the animals takes around 2 hours on average, then walking the wetland trails (better for slightly older audience) can easily add another hour on top. Excellent value for the amount to do and see, just make sure you bring plenty of water and sun-screen!
Bargin for the family adventure ,lots of animals ,birds and fantastic picnic area
Getting Seasons Passes. One of my favourite places in NS. Amazing for all ages. 2 hours isn't long enough..
Probably one of my favorite places on Nova Scotia. Definitely recommend and they have very lovely frogs here
Such a nice place to take the family.
The Helicopters were the best part!!
It is a great place to take the kids and the animals appear to be very well cared for in spacious enclosures.
My family loves the wildlife park. We go many times every year. It is great everytime we go. The team there does great work and my family and I appreciate it.
Excellent and
Very nice provincial park. Lots to see.
Note that we did not visit the interior interpretive centre so this review is only based on the wetland and mounted animal buildings and the outside trails. This was a rather disappointing visit, if you can over the fact that many of the animals are kept in enclosures that are much too small for them, the buildings were dark (many bulbs burnt out) and just didn’t offer much information. The trails and cages were even more disappointing. Some enclosures didn’t even have a sign to indicate which animal was inside. So many lost opportunities to have much more interesting and informative signage and some interactive options (have life size casts of the prints). We saw 1 interpreter who was lukewarm to offer some information.
Definitely cheap, but not really that great. Mainly because of covid I supposed so there are a lot of trails blocked off, including ones that go to the coyotes and wolves. They should be doing scheduled tours somehow of those areas or giving warning before you go in that those trails are blocked off.
lots of animals to see and great to visit in spring through fall
Excellent place, good animals, good information provided, easy to see the animals and good staff. Was expecting more water fowl. The wetland section was mostly wet land.
Beautiful park very clean, admission is reasonable and the staff is friendly. Great day use picnic area.
Good for family and kids
The children had lots of fun :)
Very fun for the little ones
Really nice place to spend a couple hours. There is also a really nice park- picnic area as well.
Loved the zoo!!!
Great place for all ages. Try to get on one of the night tours, the animals are all out when it's a little cooler
Still love this place. Glad to see there will be some new animals also. Very clean and very well looked after.
Very kind staff here ...such a beautiful park... Very clean..these ppl work with there heart.. Absolutely beautiful...the walk is Beautiful You can feed the ducks .Corn...white swans Black 1 also ...a must visit
Cheap fun with excercise!
Great place for kids and lots of room for them to run and play. Lots of animals but they did not seem overly energetic (They are in cages/pens mind you). Pretty neat to see the birds being fed as well. Our kids are 5, 7, 9 & 11 and they all had fun.
Great place to get outside and see some cool animals from all over the world! Very clean, well built enclosures for the animals, and lots of hand sanitizers available. Also there is a canteen and quite a few places to have a picnic! Our family had a great time. Only suggestion is to go early in the morning, as we were leaving in the afternoon, there was a huge line up. But worth the wait!
Always a great walk!
Huge land but not a whole lot of animals. Nice area to hang out and picnic or buy ice-cream, hot dogs, snacks, etc
Great afternoon adventure place. So much to look at. Definitely a family affair.
A great place for the family!
Love this zoo! Its been a family favourite for years.
Beautiful walk, mid morning and a lot of the animals were sleeping, great place to take the children. Good times
Highly recommend!
Nice place for a short trip, kids loved and were excited to see all the animals.
Had a private night tour of the park. So interesting.
We're a frequent visitor if the wildlife park, taking the kids monthly spring summer and fall. The staff are very friendly here and always engage in conversation or answer questions about the animals.
Always wonderful to see all the animals and lots of great information throughout. They seem to do a really great job caring for the animals too and the park staff are quite friendly!
The turkey quickly advanced towards me when I did my world famous turkey mating call.
Major improvements and expansion in recent years, very family friendly and affordable.
I must say that this zoo is in a great location lots of trees for the animals to hide in the shade ...this park does have designated smoking areas ...it's was a hot day out there today we fed the ducks and walked the animal trails ....we diddent walk the wet lands because the heat was so intense... I do give this park a five star ...all of the animals here looked healthy and happy ...but hot ????
Nice a clean and the animals are well taking after it's just like when I was a kid
I've been visiting here for years. Always a nice walk with the family and trying to spot all the animals. Nicely set up for COVID precautions as well. Also very inexpensive, it was $13 for my family of 4.
The park is well kept, well marked. Great for youngsters. I am older and just wanted to see a moose. These are in the farthest possible area. I can hardly walk but am not in a wheelchair. There were no options to get there without walking all the way, including inclines. I did manage to do it and saw a moose up close. Maybe they can consider some drive up options for far away parts of the park.
This was a great park. We enjoyed seeing so many pretty animals and got so close and could take pictures. It is a wonderful wildlife park
Great place to spend an afternoon and have a picnic. Lots of animals took look at and the walk is wonderful
Took 2 of my grandchildren on long wknd. Perfect day for the visit. Kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Disappointed that there were still a number of cages with no animals in it, still managed to complete the whole animal grounds.
The wildlife trails were pretty great. Lots of sleepy animals in the summer afternoon, but that's to be expected. The line at the snack bar was incredibly slow since there was only one person working. The lemonade was also more like lemon juice which was fairly alarming to drink a big gulp of.
It is a beautiful park and will go there again when I visit from NL. And it was a beautiful day!!????
We go every year and this place never fails to disappoint.
Great place for a family outing.
Great place to take the family of all ages.
Great spot for a day of family fun ????
Great for Adults & Kids alike. Very professional done. All animals & Birds well cared for . well worth the drive from St Margerats Bay.
Great family outing! Beautiful walking paths, well maintained pens and helpful staff! Unfortunately few interactive components so it is mostly looking into cages.
Nice preserve with well maintained paths and apparently well cared for animals.
Relaxing place. It's a nice walk and seeing the animals is a bonus.
Beautiful facility, it's spotless. The animals are well taken care of, friendly staff. Had a wonderful day here with my grandchildren.
Great opportunity to feed ducks without them getting to aggressive. Lots of local wildlife.
Good place to visit with your family
Wonderful park, love to see the animals. You can tell they love their animals, and take good care of them. I wish they had more animals, but otherwise no complaints!
Great wildlife, half the price of Moncton zoo for the same experience
Great place
Very organized with the covid rules
Nice sunny day with lots of shady benches.
Love this place. We always have season passes. Summer and Winter. We really enjoy to see how the animals all interact with us and grow. I like feeding the ducks out of my hand, it's really cool to see them trust you so much.
All these are rescued animals that won't survive in the wild, well cared for
Great place,. Animals are all relaxed :) Thank you for helping injured animals.
Our family stop on our way home to PEI from Halifax. It was a great way to break up the trip. The kids were excited to see the animals, however disappointed a large section of the moose area was closed off and we did not see any. My 6 yr old was excited to see "a real live moose". The staff was friendly and admission was under $15 for a family of 5. We highly recommend & will certainly return.
Good experience
nice place, good for the little ones. staff always helpfull
Fun, lots of walking. I think you're supposed to get there early in the morning if you want to see the animals moving and closer. Sometimes they can be a bit far away. There are vending machines for bird and deer food, so if you're into that kind of thing, bring some quarters. The staff are really friendly and helpful. One person did suggest my son would be a perfect sized meal for the bears, but I don't think intended it to sound as horrifying as it did ????????
Great way to have a fun day outdoors.
Fun to take the kids a couple times a year... Also has a playground and nice picnic area for after you walk through the park! Great for a family day!!????
My family and I had a good time at this zoo
We had a lovely visit there! The only downside was that we didn't get to see the wolves and coyotes due social distancing restrictions that altered the path we could take! It was still lovely we got to see the bears eat and the foxes were the cutest! ????
Went for the August 3rd Night Tour and Rebecca was such a such a joy to have as a tour guide! She was friendly and answered every question we had, we left feeling like we had learned so much about the animals that call this park their home. Have been going here since I was a young child but this tour turned it into a whole new experience. Thank you again!
This is a great family outing. With the size of the park, sights and animals to explore it is well worth the low cost of admission. Could easily spend an entire day there. Especially if you choose to explore the wet lands as well.
It's a lovely family experience.
Amazing place! Loved every minute of being there
Fabulous place, some new Wetlands area to enjoy, purchased a season pass so I can enjoy for the duration of the time span.
This was the last day until spring for our school trips. The students had fun
Always have a great time with the kids here. Takes us about 3-4hrs to go through all the way with two kids 2 and under. Cheap was to get the kids out and about!
The animals were all out as the housing for them was being cleaned. They looked very at home. They were not shying away from people. They are very well looked after. It was well groomed, the trails to walk on were very well maintained. A wonderful place to visit
Wonderful wildpark. Great family day trip spot!
Love it always welcome and priced right
I loved it! Great place to see some animals and very informative. So amazing that they are also a rehabilitation facility.
This is a great place to take the kids for a few hours. Lots of wildlife, walking trails and a picnic park. You can learn a lot about local wildlife. They have a new walking trail around the wetlands and reconnects to the wildlife park, always a good educational time.
Lots of animals to see, go on a cooler day the animals seem to be more active.
Love this place. It is wonderful for kids but adults would enjoy it too. It is also a great way to get in your steps ;) Been here many times with my son and enjoyed it every time.
Excellent spot for anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors.
Love it.. kids had a great time
Most of the animals were no-shows. I felt sorry for the ones we did see. The caribou especially seemed highly stressed. Several of the enclosures seemed to small for the animal’s well being rehabilitation or not.
Cheap and fun outing! The animals are well cared for.
We go every year. The animals are happy and I love the large spaces they have.
Wonderful place to go and see local wildlife up close! I love that they rehabilitate injured and orphaned animals. Bring some quarters as you can purchase food to feed some of the animals that can't be released back into the wild. Staff are very knowledgeable and will tell you all about the animals if you ask. Well worth the drive out and you can feel good about supporting a great cause!
We love this place, any time of year.
Lovely little wildlife park, takes a couple of hours to see everything. Could do with a café
I see lots of upgrades but I was missing some familiar faces. The cougars are gone, as are the Sabld Island Ponies. It also seemed like a few wolves were missing. I suppose time has caught up with them.
I've been coming to this park since I was a little girl I must say I was totally disappointed today half of your enclosures are closed with no animals in them you come to this place to see animals so where are they. Unfortunately I would not recommend this park for people to come to and see animals unless you want to come and just have a walk I'm sorry but you must do better
We came across this park accident.we enjoyed walking threw and looking at the sleepy wild animals. For 5$you cant go wrong
I love this place. I go all the time
The animals were so cute and looked happy. We had a lot of fun here but it was 25 degrees and we spent the entire day in the sun there and the snack truck was terrible. We watched the woman hand out ice cream cones and it took actually 5 minutes per cone for her to get them ready and the line had 10 people waiting. We got nachos for $6 which was a handful of tostitos with cold cheese sauce splattered across and the chicken burger which was cold chicken breast cut up with gravy in a bun ???? pack your own lunch!
Loved it. Kept more natural than a park this is not intended to be a zoo. As such animals are likely here because they can no longer be released into the wild. I believe that the staff cares about making sure the animals, mostly local to the area, have as good of a life as possible. Despite going on a drizzly day, my wife and I had a blast. The park is very affordable and an excellent day trip. We're already planning on returning.
Was an okay spot to take the kids. Few enclosures closed from winter still but all around was awesome. Kids loved it.
Great place to go with the family. I do Not recommend the ice cream stand they run out of almost all flavors and ice cream cones are not in good condition.
Totally freaking awesome!! Would totally do it again.
See the wildlife
We took our kids and thoroughly enjoyed it.
This is a decent size park. Great for young and old. Easy walking paths. Animals as always are hit/miss. A lot of older animals so often sleeping however this place can not be compared to a zoo. These animals all have stories.
It's really a great place to relax and hang around with family.
If going in the winter months, Remember to wear good footwear (as it is slippery & cold), dress warmly & breathe in the beauty you see & smell.
We had a great time there, a wonderful place for the whole family
Great place to spend a few with the kids.
Worth stopping and taking a stroll. Well done!
We take the kids at least once a summer every year. Love to support local and the kids always have a good time.
Great and friendly staff. Knowledgeable about the animals. Good clean washrooms
Went as a kid with many great memories. Took my kids today while back in NS and created many more. Beautiful trails, lots of wildlife exhibits, and loved feeding the waterfowl. A great way to spend an afternoon with the family.

Fun place forva winter walk
One of my favorites for taking my kiddos to. Large area for kids to explore. My kiddos like that fact that there is a wetlands area. My kids would live to see the beaver in the wetlands, no luck yet but we have all summer.
It's always fun to visit Shubenacadie Wildlife park
Lots of fun
A wonderful place for animals that cannot live in the wild. Constant yearly improvements result in larger and more appropriately sized enclosures for the animals and birds who live there. A great place for families to help make children more aware of animal welfare. A very pleasant place to spend an hour or two.
Great place to spend the afternoon.
What a great place. Friendly, stress free and affordable place to bring the kids.
Clean park, with very friendly staff, great family spot.
Place is great, well kept, lots of animals. Great place for kids and for just an enjoyable walk. Price to get in is good too.
Well run and family friendly. Was not over expensive. Which makes it a great destination for families.
They had arrows everywhere to show you the way. Outdoors, masks required, but if you go into the buildings with artifacts, you do.
How can you not love this place. It's affordable, not far outside the city and the wide range of animals make for a great day out. Plenty of events and the addition of the Wetland centre is a huge plus. You'll love it and your kids will too.
Love seeing the wildlife up close and personal in a comfortable non-zoo type atmosphere. They look after animals that have been injured and can't be re-released I'm some cases. Also they are being safe and having one-way traffic to keep physical distancing.
Rude receptionist.
The place would get 5 stars if loud mouth Sasquatch Saulnier wasn't there.
Great fun today with grandchildren. Saw lots of the animals and even the bears were out!
One of our favorite adventures is to the wildlife park! Great spot.
Price was very good for what you see. Cloudy ☁️ or rainy ????️ days are always better to see the animals "moving". Unfortunately I felt like most animals here aren't so happy thought. Seems like the Canines are in small enclosures and particularly the Wolves. Seems like the ducks ????have the biggest enclosures yet they roam free. It is nice though to see "Wild" animals from so close. Great educational institution for anyone eager to learn more on Canada's ???????? wildlife ????.
Geat place go several times a year
Awesome place to go and see all the different animals and also read about interesting information about them they are all so beautiful in their own way ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Beautifull place for all family!!!
Great enjoyment for quality time with family and children an unforgettable experience. Great first date. Lots to talk about Come on guys perfect all day experience.
Still a favourite place to spend an afternoon.
It's definitely good for one visit.. the park looks much bigger in the card than what it is actually for real. Wild deer and black bears were my favorites ????
4$ a piece! Worth it. We had fun fishing for tons of different wetland insects, and whatever else was in the water, with loaned nets. The animals are beautiful, and it's nice to know they are rehabilitating animals , and adopting ones that can't be rehabilitated.
Always love going here, staff are very friendly and helpful. Grounds are beautiful all year round.
It's really affordable, and the park was well kept. With covid the path to the wolves was closed off, but everything else was open.
Great place to take a walk with my granddaughter. Lots of animals and well laid out.
I love this park!
Visit Shubi wildlife park often, really love to get out and see the animals. Park is clean and animals seem to be well cared for and that’s really the biggest thing for me!
You can feed the ducks here. It's freaking amazing.
Great place to take the whole family
Great private tour! Hoping to return for a nocturnal tour late in the season. A wonderful option for children and adults alike.
Beautiful trees and walks here i really enjoyed it
Love spending the day here with my childern. Feeding the ducks looking at all the other animals. Taking a stroll through the wet lands. To the play ground and picnic area afterwards
Great place for quiet walk and taken in all the wild life
Well maintained place with friendly staff and beautiful grounds ! You can tell all the animals are well looked after
Always a family favourite! Affordable admission. Always best to go early morning before it gets too hot, otherwise all the animals hide in the shade. My favourite time is late spring, when the waterfowl hatch their babies. There are feeding stations for some of the animals, so make sure you bring some quarters!
My family comes here every summer. Very inexpensive and very fun!
Great staff very helpful, lots of wildlife and well planned for families. Children really enjoy it.
Always enjoy my time at the park.
Inexpensive large park with lots to see. My kids love it here. We get a family season pass every year and it's under $50 can't go wrong!
Amazing place, great staff. Love returning time after time
Great place for kids, they staff are quite friendly and the animals are a blast to watch with the kids. My favorite are the skunks.
We had a great time.Almost all walked around the park
Waited in the car line today for an hour, was totally fine with that. What I was not fine with was after waiting in the line, we were told dogs weren't allowed in the park despite signs clearly stating "Dogs allowed on leash" on multiple signs and no warnings about it being changed due to covid. We offered to keep the dog in the car with the AC blasting but was told that was also not allowed.
Great place to visit and take your family. Have picnicc tables so it's great to be able to pack a lunch. Love seeing all the different animals!
Stunning. A beautiful wildlife park.
A great place to unwind for an hour. Expect to spend 60-90 minutes here depending on your level of interest in the exhibits. All of the wild life they have is native to Canada. No lions, tigers or monkeys here. There are dozens of peacocks walking around that you can interact with - even a couple of albino peacocks! There are also vending machines with bird seed for just 25 cents to feed the many ducks and peacocks.
very nice place to take the kids
Great experience for kids and adults
Great place, kids loved the moose and bears. Amazingly cheap to visit, in Europe family entry for something similar would be probably 5 times the price. It was a very hot day so the animals weren't that active earlier in the day. Definitely worth a visit if you have any interest in animals.
This is an amazing trail with lots of areas to explore. I love having a dedicated trail close to the shopping centers
A great place to visit, brings back memories from childhood. Great place to bring your kids when in the area.
Good place for kids to visit. There are enough animals to see. The picnic point is good to sit and eat as well play area for kids.
Awesome as always!
Awesome place keeps getting better every year.
Great place for family and kids. The weather was awesome. We spent a lot of time in the picnic area and that is just great place for family and friends to enjoy the time there. Animals are well kept and the staff is very warm and welcoming. The peacocks and the squirrels are too friendly and would come super close.
A lovely place to visit and see wildlife
Great place we go every week with our grandson
It closes at 3 now. We were slow to leave with my toddler and they were understanding and kind.
Great place the wait to get in was annoying but understandable, worth the wait
Fabulous guided night tour of the park.
What a wonderful park to take my granddaughter to. We had so much fun searching for a lot of the animals in their enclosures.
Nice place to take your kids Good opportunity for some cool pics Reasonable price
A pleasant place to take the family for a few hours
This park seems a lot bigger than I remember as a child. It was a super hot day but the park has very pleasant tree lined paths and shady benches. It definitely got busier later in the day and they have a much reduced capacity because of COVID so when we left we saw a very long line of cars. Get there early!
Great, spent 3 hrs with my family. Nicely laid out, great representation of animals.
I wish they had done more Christmas lights but good fun still.
Great place to take your children.
Great place, friendly people. Was just there for groundhog day. It is a real shame how many adults stand front row and block the view of kids so they can take a video. Go online if you want a video, and let the kids enjoy the day.
Very nice.
Great family park, awesome prices, and all round great place to visit/support. Highly recommended!
It was great. However, it was hot and late in the day so many animals were hiding. If you love animals, you have to go at least once.
Beautiful animals and nice and clean park wonderful time
Nice park, close to home with nice selection of animals to see and learn about. Little hectic and maybe not worth it during the covid pandemic though.
Lots of shade. Well kept animal enclosures and grounds. Very cheap outing for the family
[ Animal Zoo Biography 2022-2021] Detail Simulator Real 3D Live] Best Record Zoo!]
Loved it! All the animals were out so we could see them and I learned so much!
Great place to take the kids to see the animals. My son loved feeding the ducks and seeing the black bears.
Awsome place to bring your family nice to get out to see animals in the wild .
It's interesting and beautiful
