Great place to visit. Lots of memories for many of us. Recommended.

Tom Brazil

It was good, Very informative

Lawrence Haddlesey

Was pretty interesting. But I must say that the carriage ride for 120 bucks would've been nice yet they only take cash for that. So we didnt want to have to leave and come back again.

Ryan Milone

A bit of fun to walk around in, a fair bit of info to learn about author. Didn’t remember too much about books, so it wasn’t quite as enjoyable for me, but it would likely be better for others. A good bucket list item, but you can probably skip it if you want to save some time and money.

Mark Berkeley

Definitely a must visit even if you are not familiar with Lucy Maud Montgomery and her written works.

Gur Simar Deep Singh

If someone's visiting PEI and have interest in knowing about LM Montgomery's life and her books. This is a must visit.

Eva Siu

Nice place for tourist. It's a "MUST GO" place for the fans that can track what's in the book.

Mithun

Beautiful place.

Hally Rob

This is where Lucy M Montgomery wrote Anne la maison pignon vert. It is not Anne of green gable. Nice to see the old book, rooms...

Dylan Iovene

Unfortunately we got here after it closed but was able to get some nice pictures of the house itself. I don't suggest coming after they close as we were yelled at by a woman inside just for being on the property even though the museum doors were unlocked and wide open, the gate was open, and their was no signage saying you could not be there. She was incredibly rudenl to us and another family who were unaware we couldn't even look at the house after 5.

Joy Hoskin

Beautiful. Nice setting. Great gift shop. Cafe wasn't open. Play area with swings and slide. Lovely view.

Ryan Baird

Knowledgable staff and the location is wonderful and interesting.

Matt Small

Lovely place to visit. Carriage ride with Matthew was pleasant. Learned a lot about L. M. Montgomery.

Katie Cross

Neat to see the story of Anne in life. Staff were friendly and was nice to walk though sections of the house. Lots of information on the walls in the house. We found a school house in Lower Bedeque.

Todd Gardner

Wife and family loved it

Anida Van der Spuy

Very interesting, wonderful to see all L.M.Montgomery treasures kept and taken care of ...Very special!

Shyla Tibando

I didn’t know what to expect beyond preservation and history. It was an absolutely enthralling place. It was so easy to place yourself in Montgomery’s imagination while wandering through the yard, the house, and trails. A tot clutching her plush Anne doll with a huge smile sums it up.

Goods Family Adventures

I cried. Legitimately. Any fan of the Anne of Green Gables will love this place it's absolutely perfect.

Christian Muth

If you love it, you will love it. ;-)

John Rice

The museum covered lots of biographical details about LM Montgomery, but not much on the books. The house tour was interesting but also lacking in specific details to make it more engaging and meaningful. There are several walking trails which are quite lovely, and of course the costumed actors were a nice addition. That said, I probably wouldn't go back.

Kirk Bratvold

A decent little museum and gift shop.

Malcolm

If you like the books you'll love this place

Abigail Avalos

My family and I loved our visit here. It was the most amazing experience. Beautiful location, super interesting museum. I would love to be able to go again someday!

Louise Borg

If you're a fan of walking through old houses then do it..other than that the grounds are nice and peaceful.

Paul Michaud

Very nice experience. Highly recommend. Although I was not at all familiar with the Anne of Green Gables saga, I totally enjoyed my visit there. We purchased the DVD box set of the series, and after I watched it with my Wife, I understood the whole story much better. It gave new meaning to our visit.

Stephen Bain

Quiet and cozy place, friendly staff, not an unreasonable price to get in and look around.

Anisaftab Saiyed (Anis)

Best places for literature fans who want to know more about Lucy Montgomery. This is a must visit for people who know about the world famous Anne of Green Gables story. The museum also has nice trails for a stroll in summer.

General Dexter

What a fun place to visit! I have watched all the movies and TV shows about Anne with an E. It was amazing to see the house and areas Ms. Montgomery was inspired to write about.

Danielle Miller

Very cool place. Inexpensive to get in. Little hikes. A little out of the way but you can see other spots on the way. This is NOT Anne of Green Gables house though. The house is still quite a drive. This is the spot the story was written about. Very friendly people.

Tom Tong

Don’t waste your money if you are not a crazy fans, even don’t bother to ask for the cost. We asked the cost and decided not to go the old lady receptionist shows a long face immediately and said: “Because you are Chinese, so you don’t paid!”

Fiona Bratvold

Very nice museum. Lots of information on LM Montgomery and her family. Grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Too bad the tearoom was closed.

Wynne Whitten-Holmes

A lovely place with friendly staff, pretty relaxing without the crowds. It's not the most accessible place but the staff were very good about letting us pull up to the back of the house to unload my wheelchair. The only issue we really had was that the chair got stuck on the gravel walk leading to the craft shop ramp. The carriage ride was absolutely lovely!

Monica S

Such a lovely place to visit. The carriage ride was stunning with must see views! So peaceful and breathtaking. The museum displays Montgomery’s room and some belongings. Very nice.

Pug Traveller

A must stop for those that read the books or for some good canadian culture. This is the home of the authors extended family where some of the books were written. Descendants still work there. Home is full of great artifacts and info. Take your time to read and observe. Gifts shop, carriage rides and walking path.

Don Miller

Makes Anne proud

Stacy Dion

Take the guided tour, it really enhances the experience! Our family really enjoyed this place!

Elham sezavar

We got there around 11:30 am and carriage ride was unavailable. We were told that was horses lunch time. So if you would like to have a carriage ride, go there before 11:30 or after 13:30.

David DeNardis

A must see for fans of Lucy Maud Montgomery. Beautiful museum and go at your own pace.

Trouble with Triton

If you have to chose , pick this museum. It's got spirit and a better feel at portraying the love and comfort of PEI for LM Montgomery. You see the connection and hear or read her stories . Actual artifacts from her and her family are on display as well. It feels like how I picture Green Gables should be.

MacKenzie MacLean

Wow! I took my wife too be here today and we both had the best time of our lives today! We definitely coming back next year !

rubliwton

Great spot to learn or enjoy what you already know about L.M. Montgomery and her famous stories. Not great for busy little kids but other than that it's a excellent bit of history.

Melissa McKinnon

The museum curator lady was very passionate about the history of this museum and very welcoming. Bucket list visit more than I ever imagined....brought back so many memories of reading and watching Anne of Green Gables that it actually got me a little emotional. Definitely a place I will return to with my girls P.s. raspberry cordial is the best thing I've ever tasted!

Gino Madrigrano

Very interesting beautiful location

Carmelita Marsden

Just simply AWESOME!

Mahtab Sv

It was my childhood dream to visit this place, I went there with such a excitement. The house, view, everything were so fascinating! However, this became my worst experience that I had so far. The lady at the front door was racist and she was behaving in way that made to regret of coming to this place. We were three students who wanted to visit the house and when we asked that “do you have any discounts for students”, she said “ the greatest discount that we ever gave you was letting you come to Canada”. I stayed quiet and just paid for the tickets but I decided to write this review to make people aware of my experience.

Erica L

Just a wonderful experience. Awesome gift stores, too!

Matvei Kruglyak

If you are an Anne with an e fan, you should visit this Place. Good history of the writer Lucy Maud Montgomery and family homestead. Good venue for strolling and enjoying the outdoors too. Side note - no dogs allowed on property.

Eugene Lalli

Nice place to visit

Min kim

Learning about the author of the Anne of Green Gables and being in a place where the author herself lived!

Mikhail Goldfeld

Nice place to stop but you have to read the book or at least watch the movie

Richard Carter

Very nice. Loved it. Low key and not as rushed as another so-called "Anne" museum. Nice setting. Great things to look at. Nice gift shop. ????

S Smith

We truly enjoyed our visit to the Anne of Green Gables Museum and it was extremely interesting to see the parlor where Lucy Maud Montgomery was married and to read some of the letters she had written to others and to learn more about her personal life. In one of her letters she spoke about not having enough money to hire a nurse and she thought she was losing her mind. She also stated that fame did not bring riches and it was shocking to learn that she died with very little money. It was heartbreaking to think that she was never financially rewarded for her incredible talent while she was alive. The house contains several items that are mentioned in The Anne of Green Gables books, including the Enchanted Bookcase. There are also a lot of pictures of Lucy Montgomery’s family members, which gives one a sense of her family history, which was also very interesting. The outlying grounds were also beautiful and the gift shop was very nice also. The staff was wonderful to us and helped us with our 90 year old mother who has mobility issues and we appreciated their help. Overall it was a truly wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it to others who are Anne of Green Gables fans and interested in the life of Lucy Maud Montgomery!

Traveller trap. Dont waste your time. This is operate by nobody

Zachary Burlap

More history and artifacts than the actual Green Gable site in Cavendish. Actual relatives still live in this farmstead, which inspired Lucy Maud's Shining Waters. LM Montgomery was married in this house. Today, it is open for tours, and horse-drawn carriage rides are available.
