Many happy memories with my 3 children doing the little farmers program . It was a great learning experience for city kids.The facilitators were very knowledgeable...Ashley was our favourite! Our kids also did years of summer camps there. I hope these programs are still available. Thank you Steckle Farms. My 21 year old son mentions the farm as one of his happiest childhood memories, especially Malchai the Llama.

This attraction is a memory lane to a farm life. Feeding animals, learning about them, getting to pet them was just awesome. My kids really enjoyed the attraction and we will definitely go back again.

Awesome place for kids. My kids learned a lot while having fun. Staff is very friendly, and knowledgeable. Played games with the kids, and let them pet different animals. I would definitely recommend for a Sunday afternoon family activity.

I've had great times visiting the Steckle Homestead. I think it is clearly established that it is a great place to take the family for a day trip, but it's also definitely worth checking out as a student nearby too! Petting a goat is a surprisingly effective method of de-stressing before and after exams. Highly recommend making a visit here!

An original homestead of some of the first European settlers to Waterloo region. The Steckle family came from Germany with hemp seeds and apple seeds to start a new life on the land. The family lived shared a well with the native peoples of the area. The homestead is a tribute to that time: preserved as a pioneer farm and homestead.

The farm is one of the greatest places in Kitchener! Lovely staff, very helpful and knowledgeable - even the animals are friendly. We've had numerous events there and they have all been wonderful. Highly recommend!

We love going there every Tuesday with my 3-years old. There is so much to see and discover every time we go there. Last time we fed the pigs to apples. An unique homestead only a couple minutes drive from home.

My fiance and I were so excited to hold our wedding at Steckle. After seeing the beautiful barn, we were sold! We unfortunately had to postpone our May 2020 wedding to May 2021, and now unfortunately due to covid we have had to cancel. Steckle was amazing throughout the process, from helping with planning resources, recommended vendors, and when it came to rescheduling and having to cancel. We were fully refunded and their customer service team is top notch! Thanks to Linnea and Heather for all your help. We wish we could have gotten married at this gorgeous farm!

Linnea and her team were absolutely amazing! Everything was beautiful and perfect for our wedding day! Linnea literally saved the day when our nephew had an accident right before the ceremony. I cannot imagine the day going any better and it was truly the most beautiful place and a great Family to work with!

Myself, my friend and her 6 year old daughter went to the farm to take some photos. I called ahead to make sure it was open and that we were allowed to come. On the phone the lady said it was by donation and also the amount of time spent at the farm. Now, I have zero issue for payment. However, when we got there it was a different story. She walked us up to the sunflower "field" and said that a bunch have died. Sad right? It only gets worse, I handed her 10 dollars as we planned to be there for 30-45 mins max. She then informed us that is was 50 dollars to take photos, and to "hurry up" as she had worked to do. No, there isn't a photographer, you bring your own everything. The whole experience was atrocious, and uncomfortable to say the least. The child was really sad as well. I would t recommend this place.

I had my daughters 6th birthday party here on Oct 24th and it was amazing! The entire experience from dealing with Chris on the booking and all my questions and how helpful and friendly he was. Jordan who was the party coordinator was so organized and sweet and really took her time with a bunch of rambunctious 4-6 year olds! The place is fantastic- the grounds are beautiful and the whole event was so well planned. I highly recommend Steckle Heritage Farm!

My daughter wedding was just beautiful and the grounds are well kept and clean bathrooms The only concern I had was the barn had no ventilation and some of the guests were sick from dehydration May I suggest fans and maybe an opening at the back of the dancing area to help with air flow

We have attended Steckle farm many times-- adult events, farm camp and community events. Each experience was a positive one with the staff, setting and the adorable animals. I highly recommend Steckle for family programs and as a venue for events of all sizes.

Nice farm to visit with kids, however it would have been better if there was a petting station for the kids. Very friendly staff!

We had our wedding at Steckle on June 22nd, 2018 and it was the most perfect day ever! The entire process leading up to the wedding went so smoothly, and Linnea was so great at communicating with us throughout it all. The venue is beautiful, and the staff are so friendly and helpful! They were able to accommodate the number of guests we wanted, which was fantastic - the dance floor was packed all night! We used the harvest tables that Steckle offers, and they looked so lovely. We also purchased Steckle honey for our favours, which was awesome and so yummy! This is such a great venue, and it is obvious how much work all of the staff put into maintaining it. I would definitely recommend Steckle to anyone planning an event. It was perfect for us!

Beautiful gardens on a historic property. Glad to see a partnership/agreement with local indigenous groups for use of space. Lovely updated barn for events. Beautiful spot for photos.

Attended a wedding from out of town. Beautiful wedding venue if you are looking for an outdoor, country/rural style wedding without having to travel too far from a city. There are two cats and chickens wandering around with cows, pony, and a donkey in pens. Can get VERY warm inside the barn when dancing in August, as would be expected! Strict with smoking, provides small area on property for smoking near barn. They book fast for weddings so book early!
