Science World has been both an aesthetic & educational foundational part of Vancouver for a number of years now. Some of my earliest field trip memories come from this place! Family friendly affair means you’ll always know what to expect - overdue for a visit myself!
Recently before Covid-19 I went here for a sleepover with my scout group and many other scouts it was the most fun I have had in a long time. We got watch a movie we got explore all of the cool puzzles games and physics contraptions all over the place and we got to watch a super fun presentation. The only problem is that this time and every other time I slept overnight there the place has been infested with rats. P.S.the views from the balcony at day and night are amazing
Fun for kids and adults alike. There are so many things to check out that you can spend the entire day here.
My kids love it! I have two kids ( 3 years old and 8 years old) and we have annual family pass, we come very often but my kids never get bored of this place because it has so many science related projects and games and activities that my kids can easily spend whole day here , strongly recommend this place.
Good place to spend the day with kids and family. My 6 years old daughter enjoyed all the activities and workshops.
Was pretty fun, nice and clean event though it was very busy. Had njce staff throughout, the exhibits were very neat. Great place to take the family, interactive things for people of all ages, great place. Things always update, can check it out multiple times.
This has been a favorite adventure spot for my family for many years. Took our kids here for many yearly trips and still take my sons there even though they are adults now. We always find something new and we even enjoy going back to some of the brain teasers we didn't figure out on the last visit. It never seems to get old. The staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this amazing place for both kids and their parents and even the grandparents.
The Omnimax Theatre was Awesome! We went during Spring break so it was crazy busy. The exhibits were fun and informative. Loved the fossils & skeletons, the infrared harp and the Ripley's Believe it or Not exhibit. A great way to spend the day!❤
We have a 2 and 4 year old and have been going to Science world for over 3 years. The kids love it and it helps with their development. I feel comfortable with the Covid restrictions they have in place and limitations they have in certain areas like the Wonder room (for infants/toddlers).
It is a lovely place to bring young kids. My son always finds something entertaining to do. We bought passes and come here 1-2 a month, and he still loves it. If you've never tried it and have young kids, they will have a blast. I would honestly buy the yearly pass for 1 adult and child if you plan on going more than once.
This is my daughters favourite place to go is there is always so many fascinating science things to see.the staff really does put on a good show and going and seeing a short IMAX film is rewarding. it always brings back great memories as a child because we went there on weekends and always had a good time.
The Pixar display attracted us. Turns out most of it is computerized technology on how things work. This was not for me. The statues were cool though. As for the rest of the place, good for kids. It's too bad that the staff work to keep the place clean when visitors throw their paper towel on the floor next to the garbage bin.
Great place to go for a run or hang out. The surrounding false creek area is scenic with walkways, bikeways and ferries to help you explore.
Having lived/visited in Vancouver for 20+ years this was my first time here. Even though it is a must-visit destination especially for kids, but don't hold high expectations. It's looks really large and spacious from the exterior, but it was somewhat disappointing in terms of exhibits and activities. Entry price certainly isn't cheap, and requires additional fees for some activities. However, the facility is well maintained with clean spaces and washrooms.
I love science world. I have been going since I was a child, and now take my own children here. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. Any questions my kids have, have always been answered and explained to the fullest. Great covid practices in place, which allows people to still enjoy science world! Great staff, fun place for the family.
Lovely place to visit with the family.
Science world is fun for the young and young at heart. It is very interactive and will keep you busy for the whole day. We always so to visit when we're in the area. #scienceworld #familyfun
Well, what can I say about Science World. Amazing ????. My kids loved it and I loved it too. If your a believer, then this is the place for you and the kids. You can spend an entire day here; learning, teaching, and playing with the interactive games. Great place. I would highly recommend to anyone.
This is by far the best experience we have had at a TELUS world of science. Great hands on activities, the outdoor activities were really cool. Some things were unavailable but it did not detract from the overall experience. Very well set up, would love to come back and see the cat and dog exhibit. Worth the trip today.
Science World Vancouver is an absolutely wonderful place to visit and spend time. There are a lot of activities to do indoors that are related to science and there are a lot of interactive things to do as well. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience for the children as well as adults. We really didn't know how the 2 hours we spent there whizz by. Ideally you would need a 3 to 4 hour window to experience everything. Definitely visiting again.
Beautiful views of the city through every window. But really this place is super loud and packed with activity definitely plan to spend a whole day here. I wouldn't come here as an adult only activity, it is geared for school aged kids for sure not an issue for me since I have 3 and they all had tons of fun!
Don’t forget to buy your tickets online! It will be a bummer if you make it to the front door without your pre purchased ticket, go to their website. The museum is relatively “small,” but it's cool they have many activities available despite COViD, no food allowed or sold inside. Great for toddlers!
This museum was nice though some of the exhibits were under maintenance. I wish the price would have been reduced for that considering you have to pay for parking. This museum is very kid oriented with some adult catered exhibits. If you have kids, they'll love it, as an adult you may find yourself a little bored after reading the educational plaques throughout.
Lovely. Beautifully designed and executed. It was super entertaining and even educational to us as a group of adults. Due to Covid-19, it wasn’t too busy. You can still interact with their setups. There are lots of sanitization stations around and staff were constantly disinfecting surfaces.
Awesome place for children and family visit. Many exhibits and entertaining things, as well as extremely friendly atmosphere, made 3 friends just visiting. It's never boring and I can guarantee there is something for everyone here.
Awesome place to bring the family. All covid 19 protocols are followed and its a safe place to go when its nice out side.
Decent experience for kids under 8. A lot of exhibits closed or broken (covid apparently) Took our family around 1 hour to go around. Bring food-snacks with you as restaurant inside is closed. Water fountains are available if you have a bottle.
Interesting, engaging, and entertaining. A Fantastic place for the whole family. Kids loved it! Thank-you Science World!!
So many fun things for kids to do. Spent 4 hours there and there was certainly more exploring that could have been done. I went multiple times as a kid and am happy to share this place as a memory with my kids now. From our 7 year old to our 1 year old all four kids has a blast in every area we were in.
Kids had fun. I wish the restaurant was open but at least the area was open for you to use (bring your own food and drinks). They checked vaccine passport before entering the building. There's a long covered area so it wasn't too bad. They still did shows and the kids loved it, very interactive and the kids found it funny and was amazed at the content.
First time in decade's for me and my wife but the first time for our 11 year old daughter???????? it was a great visit, enjoyed by all 3 of us!! A special trip into the city just for Science World to get our daughter out exploring and experiencing things physically, thank-you Science World!!!!
Absolutely loved this children’s science museum. Its for hands on science activities spread out over two floors. There is a human body section, a wonder land, building, optical illusions, coding and so many more areas to explore. There’s water play as well, so come prepared. It’s equally fun for grown ups as it is for children. Since we visited in winters, the outdoor areas where they keep chickens, butterflies and plants was shut.
The science world is amazing. We have been to several science worlds around the globe and the one in Vancouver is in terms of wealth of exhibits our favourite. Kind and adult of every age (4-99) will have lots of fun! We especially like the are about recycling and renewable energy as well as the are on illusions and riddles. One can literally and easily spend three days in the science world ... we only had one, which is also why we did not see any of the 3d movies in the dome. Make sure you go to the 1st floor with the area to play with and experience physics and the forces that surround us. Considering the wealth of exhibits, the price ... though quite expensive ... is reasonable. However parking is shockingly expensive. Inside is a burger restaurant that also offers some health meal options. All is clean and well explained... apart from the missing solutions to the riddles. ;)
It is amazing!!!! We spent 3.5 hours having an absolute blast, kids and adults equally enjoying the space, and we did not get to everything. It was interactive, bright, organized and had very good flow/placement of bathrooms. We cannot wait to go back. Perfect for the whole family ????.
First time ever to this centre and I went with 2 other adults with no kids. And this was still a blast to go to. I saw some dates going on and some family fun, and lots of hand sanitizers stationed around for the contact you make with different things. You can never learn enough and we'll this trip helped me see some new things. The science centre is not just for children it's for everyone.
It's an awesome place! Although, the most part of Science World is for children, there are some interesting things for adults! The Pixar Experience is ready good! Great place to go with your children or if you don't have any, like me ????, it's also great!
Very beautiful place to see and go with family or alone. There are a lot of great curiosities and experiences to enjoy and play. There also a movie room where you can watch good documentaries and discoveries about many topics. The kids will love it and have many fun. Do not hesitate on come and visit this excellent place.
Took our 4 year old here thinking it would be a perfect place for him to play, especially on a rainy day. Not only did he enjoy it, all the adults loved it too. The exhibits and interactive games and puzzles is honestly interesting and engaging for all ages! The shows were awesome as well.
Went there at night time just to take photos, love the reflection of the science world and the stadium
Excellent place for science and discovery, suitable for the whole family. Special exhibits include lego displays of the world tallest buildings plus hands on creative options for the kids. Lots of sections with science oriented experiments. Plan to visit the IMAX and all the other exhibits. Some limits due to COVID, but mostly all on track.
It's a nice place for children and family.
This was no doubt one of my best experiences as a tourist in Vancouver with my family. My 5yo enjoyed this a lot. Many things to learn and experience. The short talks were awesome. The maze was a”maze”ing :) Food was great, both quality and also the cleanliness and tidiness. The only issue was finding a parking spot. I wish they had provisioned more parking place for this great place.
We enjoyed our time a lot! Really great place for family activities. Staff were very friendly.
Surprised how great it is for kids under 5, my 2 year old loves going to wonder and doing the Eureka exhibit. It would be nice if there was more rotating exhibits but it's covid, hopefully more to come. The staff here are really awesome and love to help and answer questions.
Awesome fun for the family. Lots to do. Plan against a minimum of three hours to see everything.
Absolutely loved this. My daughter enjoyed so much. There are so many new things to learn and experience. The puzzle section is so fun. The kids can spend their entire day here and never get bored. We are definitely going again soon
One of our favourite places. If you have a big family like we do it's worthwhile to get the yearly membership, it includes 2 guest passes. The price difference between that and our 6 person family was only a couple dozen dollars. It features things for different age groups in each location which is helpful if you have a mixed age family like we do.
What a fun place! This has something for everyone. There’s a preschool section for ages 0-5 and a special section just for babies that are crawling. The older kids loved the Eureka section. We watched a demonstration on the first level and the presenter kept the show flowing well and entertaining. The mirror maze was also fun. Definitely recommend this place.
Took our 4 year olds here a few weeks back. Spent 2 hours could have spent 4. Even with covid protocols the experience was good. Will go back again.
The Science World was absolutely such a great family day out! It had all the things that a big family needed. We really enjoyed the weight machine in the Eureka room, the mirror room, and the prehistoric room. The downside was that we went on a very busy day and the cafe was very packed.
Nothing to complain and their staff absolutely helpful. Because some game we hard to understand how to play and they came on time to help. My children was interested all of Science lessons they need to know.
Have you grab your anual membership yet?... if the answer is not, what are you waiting for? It is a great place for the kids of all ages in the city of Vancouver and the surrounding area. You will need more than one day to have fun here.
Don't shortchange yourself by coming late in the day here! Be sure to come early so that you can truly take in the whole mind blowing experience here! From extraordinary IMAX theater movie experiences to amazing interactive fun exhibits, you will be constantly engaged no matter your age here. There is even an exhibit here that you need to use your mind to control a moving ball vs another person doing the exact same thing! There are exhibits here that explore feats of strength, dexterity, creativity, daring and guile! Every little detail has been well thought out with even an area where the windows can be blacked out with the flick of a switch! My little boys particularly loved the water display area where they worked hard to discover how to build an effective dam to block a constant stream of water with blocks and other materials. They didn't even realize how much they were learning while having a blast! If only school could always be this fun too! There is a decent restaurant here as well that doesn't take too long and has plenty of seating so you don't have to worry about leaving and coming back. This should definitely be on your list while visiting Vancouver. Calgary has Telus World Science Center too, but nothing like this!
The many different attractions within the Science Center were very well done and we're interesting enough to keep my family occupied for about 5 hours. This is definitely more geared towards children but can still be fun for adults. I would definitely recommend getting a ticket to one of the showings for the IMAX theater that they have. The screen is so big that it can be difficult to see everything all at once.
Beautiful place. Good place to walk around specially when there is sunshine. Good playground for kids and for everyone. ????
Fantastic experience. Do you have to book in advance because of Covid. It was not crowded all the shows were running like usual. Everything was clean. Fantastic exhibits
Great place to take the kids or girlfriend etc
Science World is a science centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, run by a non-profit organisation of the same name. It's at the end of False Creek and has a variety of permanent interactive exhibits and displays, as well as themed areas that change over time. Good place to spend time with family and kids.
A fun educational experience for the entire family. Lots of interactive displays to play around with.
An amazing place to visit once every few months(or as often as you like), especially if you have kids. Numerous small fun activities and games for kids that adults can try and enjoy as well. If you have a curious child, they will learn a lot while having fun. There's a store to buy cool science stuff. The 'Eureka' section was my favorite with science based games that you will never get bored of in one visit. The optimal amount of time spent at Science World to enjoy it fully is around 3 hours on the first visit. There's a theatre for interesting stage shows, quite a few games to test your (and your kids') physical and mental strengths, a section for 'human body' and many more things to see and learn about. 10/10,would definitely recommend!
Fun time with our grandson and his parents visiting from Denver. A little tired and in need of some repairs and updates. But we had a good time. A little expensive for ostensibly 1.5 floors of exhibits.
Science world was so much fun I wish I got more photos and wish we had time to go into the area for Littles that required a booked time. So much for the kids to do and see 2 hrs was not long enough.
Science world Vancouver Canada.. I would say the place is amazing.. Its full of surprises.. So many games.. And so Many body exercise.. Kids games.. Amazing... I would suggest you if you have kid.. You should visit this place.. Student can learn so many things.. How science is related with our daily life you can understand here. Kids mind will open with so many thoughts... Amazing really liked it... I had spent almost 3 hours playing reading and studying new things.. Gained so much knowledge about species and dinasorous and their skeletons... Wow.. Must visit.. We have paid 30 Canadian dollar as entry fees..
Pandemic science world is a different place but it is still a delight. Lots of space and lots of things for the kids to do. Outdoor area with urban chickens is so much fun! I have loved Science World for decades. It never fails to impress.
I was attracted to come today because of the free admission for Family Day and was pleasantly surprised by how fun it was! Super educational and well-rounded with all kinds of scientific topics covered in all facilities. I think people of all ages from young children to adults will have fun here. I was impressed with how many resources being offered to expose children to coding at a young age. Greatly recommend you to come! With your family, friends or even by yourself. Just be aware that it’s definitely going to be noisy as majority of guests are children.
Great place to take kids for hours of fun.
We had fun, but most of the exhibits were closed. It's a shame they're still charging full price for half the experience.
Always a huge hit with kids and adults alike. Tons of incredible interactive exhibits that truly engage visitors of all ages. An awesome way to get hands on learning and explore a wide range of science topics. The Wonder Gallery is especially incredible, offering an array of age appropriate science exploration experiences for kids 6 and under and allowing them to engage fully.
Awesome museum! Very interactive and has some great hands on learning opportunities as well as some great spots for some photos if your interested in that! Definitely more so for children but nonetheless I enjoyed it so all ages can enjoy !
It’s always the best indoor place for the kids to go in the weekend. We learn something different on every visit. Due to COVID the toddler playground and some of the facilities are closed but they did a good job to keep people 2 meters away from each other and keep things clean.
Lots of fun interactive exhibits. Definitely geared towards a younger audience but there’s lots of fun to be had for the whole family.
So fun! We loved our time here. We went when there were limited time slots, so it was really nice that it wasn’t packed and we could enjoy making our way through the exhibits and interacting with it all. Went with a few other adults and had a great time! Would love to return again!
Had so much fun with my 2 nieces, sister, brother in law and my dad. Wishing we went early in the morning when they first opened. This is definitely a whole day to see everything. We got there at lunch. And was there till closing. Make sure you pack a lunch. As there white spot is super expensive. My sister paid 90$ for 6 of us to eat. Then again. I dont know how they feel about outside food in the building.
A wonderful place for kids even we all adults enjoyed it a lot. My four years old granddaughter was so excited and enjoyed a lot. She even didn't want to come out after many hours.
What an amazing place to learn and explore for all ages! (Adults too) We had an absolute blast children 9, 12 and 14. There was a really nice area for 0-5 as well!
This place is awesome! Tons of fun, hands on things for the kiddos to do. Something for all ages. Went with my white and 5.5 year old and her cousins who are 4.5 and 2. Everyone had a great time and learned something new. I've been to a bunch of science museum now, and this is by far the best I've seen. I highly recommend it!
To be honest I did not expect much from this museum, however, my expectations were exceeded. It took us good 3 hours to walk all around the science museum. Cafeteria is not working at this moment (August 2021) so please bring your snacks, lunch with you to the museum.
An excellent place to take the kids on a rainy afternoon. If you are local, a membership is great as it allows for more focused visits. If you are visiting an excellent addition to your vacation, with little people! Even during Covid the have found safe ways to allow the children to engage and play.
So much to do and see! Fantastic for a family! Lots of IMAX options, little science shows and demonstrations, even tho it was busy we could move around and enjoy exhibits. Very interactive for children!
Went here with our 8 month old baby and there was plenty to keep us all engaged and excited. The Eureka zone and puzzle area were particularly interesting and great fun. Would highly recommend!
Get a season's pass people. Its worth it! Kids will always have fun here. Parking is ridiculously expensive so park near the Timmies on Terminal for $5 for 5 hours instead of $13 for 3 hours at Science world. Its a 2 minute extra walk.
Fabulous spot to take children. We had an excellent time and saw some exciting exhibits. The kids really enjoyed the interactive nature of many of them. It can get a bit crowded at times, so it's best to get there early. Overall, a really wonderful spot to entertain the little ones.
We used Ontario pass to get in here, I did not know that until someone told me, so cost for me was zero. Many activities for kids all ages, but mostly 7+ so they can enjoy Program is attached during Covid and mask is a must. Cafe is closed but there is McDonald walking distance Parking is about $16 all day or $8/ht
Was very amazed with all the interactive things to do in there. They have hand washing stations and hand sanitizer everywhere. Great place to take your kids. Only disappointment for me was I thought that they would have a short clip under the dome like in Toronto but They only had live shows. Other than that it was a great place to visit.
Spent way more time than I expected. very interactive. Kids 9 and 7 enjoyed every part of it. loved the 10min presentations. cafeteria was closed due to covid, but you can bring your own food and eat in the seating area. you do have in and out privilege. we went on a weekday and it was amazing as the place wasn't crowded and we could spend time checking out the exhibits.
It was so fun and so cool. But I did miss the gift shop. We didn't see all of it yet because it closed so we will be back some day????
Great place ,very family oriented ,lots of interesting and challenging games for adults and children.very informative on the human anatomy and sports. Clean place with clean wash room and wheel chair accessible entrance. There is a souvenir shop and a snack bar with in the premises. Social distancing and mask is mandatory.
A fun place for kids. Lots to do. Staff a bit rude to kids though. The people working there seemed overwhelmed by COVID restrictions and didn’t know how to convey rules to kids who stepped out of bounds. It felt tense, not a relaxed welcoming atmosphere anymore.
It was a nice experience for the kid, but many of the things either didn't work or were closed.
Amazing place for children! My kids loved it and didn't want to leave! They have live presentations/ shows happening throughout the day, a theatre, and so many exhibits! Make sure to put aside at least 3 hours to spend here!!
We spent a number of hours touring all the different exhibits. Overall it was ok, but had its disappointments. Alot of the exhibits are old and run down. close to 1/3 of the exhibits were broken/shut down/did not work properly. Maintenance seems to be lacking greatly which is sad. For the price tag to get in, one would expect up to date and working exhibits to help learn. I would recommend if the place was fixed up and maintained, but as of now, its hit or miss...
Omg my 2 year old had so much fun here. I really didn't think there would be enough there to hold her attention but they have so many activities for toddlers it was amazing. It's really hard to find indoor spaces for my toddler to enjoy and science world is top notch when it comes to learning and sensory play :)
I visited as an adult with no children and the clerk said it was "fun for all ages" but its not really. It's a fun place for kids but there's not a lot for adults. If you are visiting Vancouver without children I'd still recommend going to see the architecture, it's a beautiful view unique to this city <3
Every time I come here with my children they love it. Staff are enthusiastic and there is always so much to do. And of course they always love the show. White Spot can't go wrong. Parking is limited, but sky train accessible.
Beautifully located at the very end of False Creek. Aside from amazing scientific displays to enjoy and learn inside, it is perfect for viewing the beautiful Cambie Bridge in a distance especially at sunset
Science world is great for kids. A very interesting place with a lot of activities. I would definitely recommend visiting at least once.
Take our grand children often. We all like the place. Recently came twice with two kids and they really had a great time. The Maze from Chicago is awesome. Several other newer exhibits are quite interesting.
Visited science world for free for healthcare workers. It hasn't changed much since 7 years ago when I volunteered here. Great place for families to bring their children but not for adults for the price, at least not for a second time. Staff is wonderfully friendly.
Loved this place, definitely more for kids than adults, but it has fun puzzles and interactive stations.
Great place for children and adults. Physical and mental activities. Older exhibits could use improvement but they have new exhibits as well. Admission is a bit steep and also pay parking. Perhaps go for season pass for a family ~$200. Science world has outgrown its space. It would be nice if it evolved and grew with its audience.
