Fun place for kids!
A traditional market place in Vancouver city. There are lots of fun to see, to buy, and to taste there. So many people including visitors and local residents are coming to enjoy the joyful place.
Great place to bring kids or adults. I won a PSP (a long time ago) here. Pretty awesome. One time we got lightsabers and fought around the island.great place!
This place was great. Small shops with many family friendly items. Indoor play park with a cost but seems well worth it also nice gaming area with arcade games. Atm on site and coffee shop cafe. The outside is a wonderful place to sit and relax. Definitely was worth my time and only wish i had more time to enjoy. When i visit Vancouver next this is a pkace i will return with my family
The kids market has great stores, a play area for kids and Virtual Reality shop.
Lots of video games, virtual games, Adventure zone, Kids souvenirs stores. Great way of killing upto 2 hrs here for kids.
Wonderful place for kids. Arcade games, indoor play park, clothing stores , toy stores . Everything a child needs.
It was great. Everyone had fun at my granddaughters birthday party. The staff was very helpful. The birthday party room was nice and bright and clean. They even had a cool cage to keep the kiddies in. Lol the only issue was too many kids there. Bhahaha I will go back another day.
Awesome place for kids and to buy things for your child or children.
Great place to visit if you're looking for something to treat your kids. Mostly kids toys stores with games, puzzles, silly stuff, and a few novelty stores with fancy dress, etc.
Went here for a birthday party. The kids loved the arcade and the adventure zone. We didn't get much for 245 tickets in the end though. Average 3 tokens per game is not too bad either
Our very first time visiting The Kids Market at Granville Island and I am left feeling let down. First, parking was a nightmare! It took ages to just get into the place. It was extremely busy. Packed shoulder to shoulder with people. Only 2 stalls in the women's bathroom!! Why?? For such a busy place you'd think there would be bigger bathrooms! I waited 10 minutes in line just to change my son in their "parents room" then had to wait again so I could use the bathroom myself. There wasn't much for young kids to do at all. The play area is only for bigger kids unfortunately. 2 levels of overpriced and crowded toy stores. In my opinion this place is definitely overrated. I'll try again one day when my son is older. ????♂️ There was a saving grace though, a great little park behind the building with a playground. It had a climbing wall and slides that my son loved. There is a waterpark there too which would be fun in the summer!
Very funny place to spend time with children. Be careful, you have to pay for all inside !
A great little place to get everything a kid would want.
A fun little market to bring your kids with tons of toy stores for the kids. With an arcade upstairs, you can really entertain the kiddos.
Even with social distancing this place is super fun for kids oh, maybe even more so considering there isn't a crowd to fight to play games games. Stores are a little easier to shopping without having to chase your kids considering the stores themselves are quite tiny. My little guy really enjoyed the video games indoors and the climbing structures outside. Will be back again in the summer and hopefully the market will be more open as well.
Packed with stuff and great for finding the right something.
Beautiful place to take your kids to. My kids really enjoyed it.
It looked very interesting from outside. Marking at Granville is a mess, but this place is nearby few parking lots. The shops here are mostly toys etc, higher on the cost side. Mostly for 1-6 years old, few shops as clown One are good for 8+ yrs.
It is ok kind of place not so great place if you have six plus year old kids
The Kids Market is always fun to walk around in. The stores are amazing. Two of my faves are Panda House which as you can imagine has a lot of panada merchandise in it...all very cute!! The next shop I LOVE is Kites and Puppets store. If you like puppets this is a wonderland!! My girls and I have the greatest time trying all the puppets on the racks. Lots of fun and interesting toys as well. The glass elevator is fun for young and old. Also the arcade is very fun for kids to play and win tickets to buy prizes...although the games are a little pricier starting at $.50. The whole market is quite fun to putter around in spend an hour or two.
Watch out for seagulls with an appetite. They dive bomb if you have food in your hand. Otherwise a great artisan experience.
I went there during the christmas week. The place is full of toys. Really great place to bring kids.
My son loves the arcade here. For a 3-5 year old it is pretty stimulating.
It's still worth a visit, but to be honest it's getting a little tired\expensive. The jungle gym did look to be updated, somewhat recently, but the arcade needs some love. That said, the kids market will always have special place in my heart
The one stop shop for kid's items and services (particularly toys). There is large play area (fees) and concession stand making a great place for a birthday party. Free parking.
Great place, Great staff. I was looking through their selections of legos and this one worker helped me find everything I was looking for.
Nice place for the kids to let loose for a little bit. More for younger kids but overall, kids always have a good time here
My kids are getting older but they still love this place. Food options aren't the healthiest so bring your own food or plan to eat in the main market.
You can find just any kind of souvenir this market and a lot of games for your kids, from traditional arcade to metaverse 9D worlds.
I grew up loving this quirky place and so will my daughter. Really sad about the parking though, must be frustrating for some. Love all the fun unique indoor stores and outside there is plenty to do for kids in the summer.
While I was talking to a receptionist at Kids Market hair salon, my 7 years old was entertaining herself at the neighbouring tricks store (sorry, don't remember the name). The sweet older salesperson showed her few toys. I really loved their interaction, all about amusing a child, nothing obnoxious like "need-to-make-s-sale" attitude. We ended up buying a trick "disappearing content" box and she was supplied with some candies to use for the tricks. Very nice experience :)
Very clean, very colorful. Perfect spot to take kids to.
Love taking the kids here, there's so much to do and see especially on a sunny day. Inside it's great for kids and outside it's great too!
Lots of things for kids aged 3+ to do or see. My child was enchanted by the toys on the first floor and the arcade games on the second. Definitely not perfect and needs some fine tuning since a few arcades were broken. Worthy of a stop over for any child.
Most of the game machines we tried were not working. Expect crowdy pack of people. The animal show for kids rescued our day there. We would not come back if we don't hear any change at the place. This post is just another dislike one.
This is an area for the kids to enjoy while at Granville Island Market. It wasn't very big and didn't have very large sections for the kids to play but the kids seemed to truly enjoy it. There is something to do for kids of all ages. They even have a virtual reality station. Outside the play area is another building where kids can get ice cream. It is great to have a place so close to the other market so that the adults and kids can both have fun.
It's a bit of a zoo on a Saturday afternoon. This space seems to be targeted mostly at children 8 and under with a couple things for kids up to 12. There is a vrcade but they seemed to be having issues with their technology while we were observing it. Its not something I would go there for anyway. The biggest upsides are two shops, one being the swimsuit shop and the other being the dance/costume shop. Both had a ton of higher quality items and I would shop in either store as needed. I'd rather they weren't in the kids market as I won't go out of my way to go back in there. My 11 year old found nothing in there for her really other than those two stores.
Such a unique experience where I was able (and encouraged) to unleash my inner child! Lots of things to do for children an adults alike!
Great place for kids and adults too. Different stores almost something for everyone ????
I bought way too much stuff but I loved all the little stores. Nice variety of toys and things you might not find anywhere else.
Went here for a birthday an was so damn busy. I got anxiety because covid is all over again and people are bumping you left right an center. A very busy place an rushed for the birthday . Didn't even get to lite the candles.
It's Granville Island! The marina ,the waterfront, the restaurants and shops, the Aquabus .... what is there not to love .... it's great!
Kids Market in Granville Island , easy to find , just on the right hand side of buildings when you go in through the main entrance after the first set of traffic lights , building has two storeys of stores , where they sell all kinds of toys , books , games and clothing for children , they also have a play area for smaller children and tables and chairs for resting , outside the building at the back there is a beautiful pond with willow trees and most of the time lots of Canada geese swimming in there , a very relaxing place to visit for both children and adults .
It’s a good market place, plenty of interesting selections, but I found the price to be pretty high. You could find identical items on amazon.ca for a quarter of the price, which is pretty significant.
Super dissapointed came to visit litterally bought a lot of coins and found out place was closing in 5 min tried to get a refund was told no had zero time to even try to use them soooo not happy
Lots of found memories taking our children here! Highly suggest you feed the ducks by the lake as well!
basically a big kids store building. it was actually the only place where I could find a cap bomb.
Can be kind of crowded but quite a few good stores with a variety of toys, like the harder to find gravitrax expansions and jellycat plushes
Fun place to explore new toys and games. Kid loves the climbing and arcade zone upstairs.
