This Zoo belongs to the category of Farmers' market.
I absolutely adore this place! Being able to feed and pet all the animals is so much fun especially for kids. The owners are so friendly and have lots of funny stories during the hay ride. It is a wonderful place to take the family or for a kids birthday party. Love it!!!!
Always a good time at Al and Dorothy's farm!
Went there yesterday for a family photoshoot. We only went into the sunflower field and we're there for 45 minutes. I had to pay ($8 entrance fee) fine. But she wanted to charge me for my under two year old. I think kids under a certain age should be free. The staff were not friendly in the slightest and the attendant at the front was slow moving and extremely rude. Definitely would not go back there. The only thing we liked was the cute kitten walking around. Very disappointed with our experience after hearing such positive reviews.
Many animals - kids loved it, very well organized.
The entire staff was phenomenal, I am from Wyoming and felt right at home. The wife and I took our 3 kids and had a great time.. Even had a chance to talk to Albert, he was extremely kind hearted man. Would recommend to any and all that are looking for a breath of fresh air away from the city hustle and bustle.
We had a very nice afternoon and we recommend this tour. A special highlight to the tractor ride, brought by the kind owner, who received us affectionately next to his wife.
always love coming out to this place, great place to bring family and have a good time on the farm seeing the animals and grabbing a pumpkin.
I helped make some signage during a movie! I loved it there.
Very nice farm! It is beautiful and very clean. Pumpkins line just about every single pathway throughout the farm. Lots of animals in barns to see. There was even kitties and puppies and at certain times throughout the day you could hold them. You can buy a bag of food for $2 and they say you can feed any of the animals with it but it seemed like only the goats would eat it. Your ticket price does not include any pumpkins, it is just to get in but I thought all the prices were fair. There is tons of photo opportunities as well. We went on a rainy day and it was very muddy and wet just about every where you went, so come prepared with good boots. The only thing I didn't see is a hayride! The reason for the 4 stars is because we went to the "back forty" part of the farm to to get our pumpkins. The workers drive up the pumpkins to whatever parking lot you are in (there is 3 parking fields). It seems like a good idea especially not having to huff your pumpkin up a hill and then to your car, but the logistics of it does not seemed worked out yet.. Once we paid in the back forty we went back up to the top of the farm and checked the market out and fed some more animals. We were up there for about 40 minutes. We left the farm and headed to the parking lots. Our pumpkins that were supposed to be left in the parking lot were not there. We waited for a bit then tried to track someone down. It took a bit to find a farm worker without having to wait in a line but our pumpkins were eventually brought up from the field.
My family had so much fun here. We went for the pumpkin patch and there was so much more. The kids could have stayed all day
Great experience!
Lots of fun. Kind of muddy, but a great place to still take your kids.
Today we waited almost 40 minutes in the lineup to get into the parking lot, waited another 15 minutes to pay admission, then waited another 40 minutes to get on the hayride. It's a huge place with lots of animals, but the lineups were crazy and young kids just did not want to wait over 30 minutes to hold a bunny. Every single pumpkin out in the patch was smashed, being eaten by crows, or rotten so the kids didn't get to "pick" theirs out. We did manage to find a couple pumpkins in the store. Overall it was OK, but I'm not sure it was worth it and don't know if I would ever go back.
Awsome pumpkin patch. :) Lots of fun.
Pretty cool pumpkin farm! Tons to see and do, and the tractor ride is awesome. Highly recommend checking this spot out. Lots of farm animals to see!
Love this place take.the kids there for pumpkin patch for Xmas tree and anything other time.
Great staff. Friendly people
This place is pure magic! Happy and Healthy Animals everywhere! I think I enjoyed it as much as the kids!!
Really good if you are pumpkin or crisims tree shopping the prices are not to hight
A nice farm, lots of animals
Amazing! I have gone by Aldor Acres regularly and have never had the time to stop in. I was shocked (pleasantly) by the variety of animals that could be fed and petted. I will be back to go on the hay ride and get myself a pumpkin next week and in December to pick out a Christmas tree and roast some marshmallows. Bring the kids this big kid had a great time!!!
We had lots of family fun.
I have been going every fall for many years with kids. I love it. It’s a great farm experience . The staff are helpful and friendly . It’s great to see real farm animals and feed goats and hold pups and chicks . It’s a bit pricey . Prior to covid you were transported to the field on a hay ride but now you just walk , so it made 25 bucks for two pumpkins seem very high. Lots to see and lovely staff . Well worth the drive from Vancouver.
If you love baby farm animals, you will really like this place! We saw baby pigs, bunnies, goats, sheep and chickens. The Running of the Goats in the morning is fun to watch (just ask the staff what time it will happen). The goats in the main goat pen can be a bit crazy; one started to eat my coat before I yanked my coat out of its mouth!! They can smell the food in your backpack and another goat started eating the paperbag in my backpack pocket. Available for purchase are small bags of $2 feed to feed the animals. The emus were running around behind their fence and it was cool to see them zipping. Because there is a lot of cool stuff here (firepit, pumpkin patch, Insta-worthy props), this place gets busy, so I suggest arriving first thing in the morning before the masses descend on the place. Oh yeah, and grow some eyes at the back of your head to monitor the goats in the main pen!
Great place to go with your family. Brought my one year old yesterday and enjoyed the animals and the view. Owners are really nice as well. Will be coming back when they open for Christmas.
Very good ????
Lots to offer. Great service and friendly staff.
Enjoyed last year with baby and planning on going again this year!
I don't support mama pigs in farrowing crates, and none of the animals had enough space. Petting the lovely tame turkeys and then seeing the sign stating that they are going to be served up for Christmas dinner was really upsetting.
Fun place with friendly staff. Reccomend if you have kids that love to pet animals and get real close to them.
Wonderful place. Have gone almost every year for 12 years now. Sometimes twice a year. A truly special place.
I turn in a tradition in my family to go there and get ur pumpkin and haven't fun is so awesome
pumkins
Was a good time. Lots to do for kids. Pumpkin prices were very good
Always a pleasure seeing all the animals and having a bite to eat at Aldor Acres. Great place for little children and adult children.
This is probably my favorite pumpkin patch. I have been to many and I love how the staff allow you to hold/pet various animals like kittens, bunnies, ducks. They have many animals to feed too.
More than just pumpkin patch. The animals, the ice cream. Love it!
Ive been going to Aldor Acres for 30 years. Its a lovely place.. Great atmosphere, great pumpkins, great animals, great people and often, less so with covid due to regulations, great food!! GO here.
What a great experience at this amazing family owned farm. Everyone had a wonderful time despite the poor weather on our visit. Dress dry and warm and be prepared to have some fun!
Worth the wait at the Farmacy, delicious hot chocolate and hot dogs!!! Needed extra layers for the weather! Wish we could stay longer, it was too cold and the wind was freezing...
Aldor Acres is our absolute favourite pumpkin patch to go to. We go every year. Friendly animals, friendly staff, nice variety of things to purchase. We make sure we always get two jars of their home made salsa and jalepèno jelly. Go. You won't be disappointed!
So much Fun!
We absolutely love this place. Wonderful for kids of all ages. Kids are excited for their bunny sleepover.
Lots of activities for kids and adults to enjoy. Friendly staff and many animals.
A super fun event for Jodi and the team private party! Loved the venue and all the animals
Great farm to visit! Pumpkins, sunflowers and lots of farm animals to feed.
I don't support mama pigs in farrowing crates, and none of the animals had enough space. Petting the lovely tame turkeys and then seeing the sign stating that they are going to be served up for Christmas dinner was really upsetting.
Amazing experience at this farm. My kids love it here. All the farm animals are sooooooooooo cute. I love this place :)
Great farm for the family! I love going!
A family tradition for the last 17 yrs. Family owned farm, cows, goats, pigs, chickens, bunnies, ducks, & more. Albert & Dorothy have created a family adventure for all us city folks. Stroll through the barns & fields. Pick a pumpkin have a snack or lunch at the grill. Get some homemade goodies to take home & enjoy. They also have Christmas trees & Easter weekend. Hayrides when available & sometime live music. Treat yourself to a day on the farm ????????????????????????
It was cool place for kids. Big pumpkin patch field where you can pick your own pumpkin to buy. You can also buy food to feed farm animals. Lots of fun activities for kids to do and a neat little area that serves beverages and pastries. If you want to avoid a lot of mud, plan ahead and go when the weather is still dry. Recommend also going early, it gets really busy as the day goes on.
Enjoyed last year with baby and planning on going again this year!
Love taking our kids here for the annual pumpkin patch visit. It’s worth the drive from Coquitlam!
No indoor space, so be prepared to be cold. Not a big deal but good to know. We went specifically for pumpkins, and came back empty handed. The pumpkins were all either rotten, tiny or both. Someone also made the decision to hang a dead crow by a rope in the tree. Apparently there should have been a sign notifying people of this "scarecrow", but there wasn't one. Pretty disgusting to realize a dead crow is hanging directly over your head. People were walking under it continuously. Lastly, it's cold but they leave the majority of animals outside. Not such an issue except for the 3 shivering piglets huddled for warmth. Pretty depressing to see. All in all, this was a trip I will not repeat. There are better places out there.
It was a great time and every season is always fun but spring time is always the cutest
Fantastic family farm with friendly folk and animals as well! Well worth your visit and time!
October2014
A Gem
We come to aldor multiple times a year. I love it. Everyone is amazing. The farm is well kept. Even with covid they have enough room so you feel safe. I will always keep coming back to aldor.
What a great experience at this amazing family owned farm. Everyone had a wonderful time despite the poor weather on our visit. Dress dry and warm and be prepared to have some fun!
I've been going for years year round and, there's no other farm in the lower mainland that beats this place.
Great place for families, there was a lot to see and they are really friendly.
They have a little of everything on October. Best pumpkin patch in the area.
Thank you Melissa for taking the time in your busy day to show your farm to our family when we dropped by unexpectedly. We appeciated that you gave us and our kids a chance to see and pet the animals up close. It was a very pleasant experience and because of your kindness and generosity we will plan to visit again in the future. The Woo family.
Bad business practice. A good farm but with staff badly lack customer service spirit. If you want to go somewhere to have a good time but get insulted instead, come here. They need to know that most people go to their farm to have a good time, not to get insulted or assumed bad intentions to take advantage of their farm. My money can go elsewhere, and there are many other good farms around we can have fun in.
Great tour of the farm today tour was amazing
Great pumpkin patch for young and old, lots of animals to touch, good value snacks and a cool tractor ride to get to the pumpkin fields
I love this place! Great family owned and operated farm and they make everyone feel welcome!
Nice place for family outting.
Went there with my 5 year old son this weekend and it was amazing! Great job with social distancing and managing the amount of people there. Lots of stuff to do with the kids. Definitely worth the drive out!
Lots of animals to see, pet, and learn about. Very friendly staff, too. Great place for a walk around with young ones, followed by a picnic!
Nice place. The kids loved it
This is our go to every year for the pumpkin patch season. I just went today (covid 2020) and I like how they do things. Just need to pre book online and wear your mask inside the barns. No big crowds to deal with and still enjoyable. We went to Maan’s with friends last year on a weekend and I Aldor Acres is better. Friendlier staff, more animals, doesn’t feel as commercial.
Wonderful experience
Get my pumpkins every single year from here! Also got my first real christmas tree from here this year. Always a fun family event for us! Great people too always friendly and helpful :)
Great place, everyone is really nice
Beautiful
not worth $8 admission compared with krause berry farm...not recommending..don't trust the positive reviews.
We went there today searching for our perfect Christmas tree. We came around 4 p.m. and went straight to the tree field. It was interesting to search for a tree because all the various sorts grow together and we could compare them. I was able to walk along the trees with a stroller easily and my baby didn't wake up. When we found a perfect tree, we cut it by ourselves with a saw that the owner gave to my husband when we arrived. My husband carried our tree to the barn and we had some free marshmallows and cocoa near the fire. Unfortunately, it was late already and we didn't have a chance to interact with animals, but I am sure we will do it next time we come. Wonderful experience and evening!
Fun afternoon at the farm
Awesome farm experience! The covid safety plan in place makes it even better as the amount of people checking out the animals at the same time is very small, no crowds, just awesome! So many animals and they are all soo people friendly, even the emus!!! We will definitely be back. I also heard if you go at opening or closing time you get to watch the goat parade. The kids will be talking about this for a long time! There is also a snack area you can buy popcorn, ice cream, chips, everything kids love hah.
I get to pet animals enough said
Fun place to visit animals around Halloween. Definitely a tradition of ours.
Very friendly family owned farm. Good value and a fun day! I'll definitely be back.
Huge pumpkins, great family outing
Had a great first experience at the pumpkin patch here! Loved all the animals and felt very safe with the covid protocols! Will be back next year for sure.
Really friendly staff and you don't get gouged on the prices . Excellent for a family .
Really great. 10 dollars a foot for Douglas fir, and 12 dollars a foot for the rest. They had two fires merrily burning with plenty of seating. The first cup of hot chocolate is free, roasting marshmallows is free, and the rest of the food is priced very reasonably. They have a big field where you can find the tree that's right for you, and they have a large selection of precut too. There is a big barn with hay to play in and animals for the kids to see and /or pet. Mine seemed to like the bunnies best. The staff were very friendly, and the two owners were on site and chatting to the guests. Very nice. Highly recommended.
They weren't able to do hayrides or let people in to the animal pens due to COVID, but they made sure there was plenty more to do! Feeding animals, barley maze, pumpkin and sunflower patches, and limited people meaning we had plenty of room! Very fun!
I loved the farm and the staff were so friendly:)
Great family experience. Search for the perfect tree, then cut and haul it back with the kids. Hot chocolate by the fire and then pet the farm animals. Staff is super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. We plan to make it a family tradition for Christmas. We will also be checking out the pumpkin patch.
Good pumpkin patch!
It’s an alright place to go. Not the most friendly staff. They are quite rude! I felt like I was constantly in their way after I paid money to be there. But stay away from the staff and just pet the animals and you will have a good time.
Great customer service and a wonderful pumpkin patch and petting zoo!
Great place to bring kids, lots of space to run around, the animals are fun and the staff is friendly
Had a great time until a larger lady that was tending to the cow was extremely rude to me because my 2 yrs old son got upset and started to cry when a strange man grabbed his arm and told him not to touch the cow. I also would like too add that there was no visible signage that the cow wasn't friendly and not to touch. The lady tending to the cow then asked very rudely if the cow bit him. I said no and explained what happened and she then told me that my son's crying is making the cow upset and we should leave. I'm not sure first why they would have a cow that shouldn't be touched in a petting zoo environment and secondly have a unhappy person who isn't toddler friendly working there
We just had my son's pumpkin patch birthday party at Aldor Acres farm, and it was perfect. The family & staff were so helpful and accommodating. There was so much to see and do, the kids LOVED it. Would definately do this again ????
So warm and friendly place for have a beautiful day with family.
I've been to about 4 other pumpkin patches in the Fraser Valley in the last year and this one is by far the best!
Busy. Fun for the family and grandparents.. Lots to do and good selection of food and pumpkins ????.. somewhere we have been going to for a few years..
I loved Aldor Acres last year in the fall. However, this past week, I had a much different experience. We arrived early last Sunday at 9:30 AM, to do a few family photos and purchase a tree. I messaged before hand to make sure taking photos was okay. When we came in we also gained permission a second time from a lovely older gentleman. When we finished taking our photos we went to purchase a tree but they were almost all gone (found out later that day they sold out). So i went to grab a small Grinch tree but the line was extremely long and it was pouring rain. We had our 2 year old with us getting soaked and cold. Unfortunately a lady wearing red yelled at me as we began to walk away "ARE YOU JUST HERE TO TAKE PHOTOS OR ARE YOU GOING TO BUY SOMETHING"?. She continued to glare at us as we walked to our car. It sucks that taking photos here is frowned upon, as most people tag these pumpkin/tree farms on social media posts and its free marketing for your business. Now that all your trees are sold out? Who is coming? I guess nobody since photography is frowned upon. I loved Aldor Acres, but I wont be back.
A lot of animals to see, found it kind of pricey at $9 for every "walking person" but lots to see for sure ! A few pushy goats in the goat area so dont let the kids hold the food bags!!
Went to alder acres yesterday and it was beautiful but the treatments of the animals there was horrendous. I'm morally disgusted with myself that I gave my money too this farm who abuses these animals!! Only Little kids attended the animals who would aggressively grab the chickens and throw them. The animals are stuck in tiny tiny cages and they are tied up as millions of kids poke hit and Harrass them as they are unable to move. The goat all look like they're drugged out or there mind with nobody attending them. I saw kids hit and kick the goats. Seeing this horrible treatment of animals made me sick to my stomach I left. They also had a very condescending sign that said if you have a problem with what we do on OUR farm please go talk to bla bla bla. DONT GO TO ALDER ACRES DONT SUPPORT ANIMAL ABUSE.
Fantastic experience. All staff and animals were extremely friendly and the family atmosphere the staff created was great.
Sweetest Place On Earth!!!!! This place taught me, To be kind to animals and the rest of the world, is the best way to be kind to ourselves! *&* All the animals are very loving, lovely who deserve our kind respect. They have their unique little funny personalities that are brilliant. Great range of lovely farm animals ranging from bunnies, roosters, goats, ostrich, a huge horse, a short small horse, a gaint pig, mommy pig with baby pigs, small pinky pigs, sheeps, cows, kitties and dogs, gooses. I heard they will reopen again on Eastern Holidays. Pls bring your loved ones and teach them to be kind!
Don't forget to stay for the goat parade.
Friendly staff and great animals to pet. Covid precautions are taken and makes for a great, uncrowded experience.
This place is amazing! We had a birthday party there and they made sure we are happy. Highly recommend!
It was an ok experience for kids but overall it is over priced. Charging the 2 year olds is ridiculous and the entrance fee should include the pumpkin. Not going back .
Was really fun, great place to bring the kids too. Friendly staffs.
Very rude farm worker. She basically told us to get lost after suggesting they use a tractor to shuttle people to and from the very far away parking lot. It was very muddy and slippery.
Awesome place for all ages, strongly recommended. Good family vibes with awesome staff. Thank you to the Grandparents, Melissa and Katie for having us. A Must see, go check it out! ????????????
An ok experience. We usually go to Laity patch but decided to try something new this year. While there was more ground to cover, and the tractor ride was longer, I think we will be going bak to Laity next year.
The staff are awesome, there are so many animals to see, feed and pet! Lots of different picture opportunities!! Only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I felt it was still a bit expensive for a family! Willowview farms in Abbotsford is free...you just pay for anything you buy!!
This farm is heaven on earth! On top of the beautiful setting, and huge variety of baby animals to cuddle, the owners and staff here are warm, helpful and laid back. They happily answered my sons hundreds of questions. We so needed to have some fun during this stressful time, and Aldor Acres did not disappoint. If you are looking for a great way to spend the day with your family, look no further. We can't wit to come back!
It was an ok experience, it’s definitely a very nice place and setup and different from what I’ve been to. Seeing some of the areas that animals were kept in, like the mama pigs, was pretty dissapointing. Another thing is if you’re bringing your dog, be careful because they do have off leash dogs roaming around. I brought my young puppy, he’s four months old and completely harmless, and as he was sitting beside me one of their dogs sniffed him and then started attacking him. No staff were watching the animals, I picked my dog up while their dog continued to chase him as we walked away. Even once I picked him up the dog was still following me. There was only one nearby staff member who turned around and all she said was, “be nice” to the dog. She didn’t stop it, she turned back around. You’d think that dogs who are picky about which dogs they like would be kept on a leash or put away. Think I’ll try a different place next year.
Best pumpkin patch! Amazing staff, animals well taken care of, great atmosphere and very fun for the family! Lots of coffee, corn on the cob, smokies and hotdogs available to eat as well as a mini farmers market. Great variety of everything autumn!
Kids loved it - you get in the pen to play with, pick up and feed pretty much every type of baby farm animal…lots and lots of pens so no waiting even on Halloween day. Tonnes of things to do. Thoroughly recommended!
Great pumpkin patch and lots of animals to see.
We had a great time, staff was all very friendly. They have lots of animals that you can look at and pet. Goats were great fun. The price for pumpkins is very good. Really seems like the owners care more about customers having a good time then making a ton of money!! We were there 2 hrs and didn't even realize it was that long. Well worth the drive if you have kids. We will be back next year! Make sure you take a couple of toonies so you can get food to feed the goats.
Nice friendly place for families with children ... we had a nice day with the kids
The greatest place for kids of all ages! The Anderson's are wonderful hosts and its educational and interactive for kids!
As an animal lover, it felt a little sad to subject these animals to such big crowds of people, especially in Covid times! I am sure it causes them great anxiety to have people reaching into their space and constantly picking up their babies (bunnies and goats). No one around to make sure people were safely holding them, etc. Just a free for all. Having said that, the animals all looked healthy and are likely well cared for, but I left feeling a bit sad for them. Also, there are wagons people can grab for free to cart their kiddos around in, however, there is no sanitizer or sanitizing wipes so it didn't feel very sanitary and certainly not Covid friendly. Nonetheless, it was a very fun time taking our one year old to the farm for Easter!
Wonderful family farm!!
Had a really good time with my husband and almost year old daughter I am looking forward to going in the fall for the pumpkin patch
Family had a great time lots to see and do with all the animals and hayride. However pretty pricey at 9$ a person entry fee. Normally we prefer to spend our $ on a larger pumpkin or 2 but walked away with 1 tiny pie pumpkin for this reason. Majority of staff were very friendly. 2 were rude especially one larger lady tending to the cow on display. My husband joked to our 5 yr old it was dog and she tore a strip off of him about "why would u do that to a child" and blah blah blah. Our child knows the difference between a dog and a cow but when he told her it was a joke she gave him the worst look, shook her head and walked away. Pretty sad attitude but I guess she just isn't a happy person. Then right after she yelled at another man for petting the cow wrong...and I mean yelled. He walked away embarrassed. Overall kids and I had good time, husband not so much, will probably try somewhere else next year.
Great place to take kids .it was rainy but still had good time
We enjoyed our trip there , lot of animals and was so serene and peaceful.
We went there as part of a field trip, it wasn’t very entertaining for little kids.. they just got to see little bunnies and chickens. The pumpkin picking part was the worst, the pumpkins were so small and all crushed or soggy.
Very recently I arrived to Aldor Acres for a birthday party. Unbeknownst to myself and the other parents there for the party, the birthday parent forgot to reserve a booking and neglected to get confirmation from Aldor Acres. Needless to say, a party of 20 people showing up unannounced first thing on a Saturday morning can be pretty frustrating! But Brian and his family did his best to accommodate our "surprise" party and had me go from feeling awkward to having fun in minutes. He was very kind, knew his stuff and made sure that all the kids (even the adults ones) got an equal opportunity with the animals. 10/10 would visit again (with a reservation!).
The best little getaway for kids of all ages
I think they need to rethink their animal welfare. The owners are also very rude and make you feel like you’re in the way. Definitely would never go back.
(Translated) The big, wide and diverse activities made the children happy!! (Original) 크고 넓고 다양한 활동으로 아이들이 행복해 했다!!
Great place love the set up with the animal. Staff are warm and friendly a definite must see farm.
Been going for years and it used to be great. This time I was disappointed. First, charging for a child under 2 is robbery. He isn't old enough to be into it yet but he costs the same. Second, we seemed to constantly be getting out of the way of the hay ride tractors and I'm surprised no one was hit. A kid near a corner almost was. In the past it worked but due to its popularity there are too many people to be driving a tractor through every five minutes. Last we were on the back trailer and when it stopped we and others got off. The kids were excited and the driver made a snarky comment about not listening when he said stay seated. We are 20 feet away from a running tractor engine and we're supposed to hear that? His spiel about the farm verbally held us all hostage while kids just want to go pick a pumpkin. Poorly done this year Aldor Acres. My family and I won't be back.
Only bad parking
It was great. They where very helpful and there were tons of animals and a giant sunflower field.
Amazing place always best time there people who work there with big kind hearts
Amazing places even in COVID times. Can pet animals still and feed goats. Tons to see and do. Our two year old loves it. A must do!
The pumpkin patch at Aldor Acres is a family tradition now. Always a great time with the cute animals, fall decorations, and farm fresh pumpkin pie!
